PILTDOWN MAN AND THE CARDIFF GIANT
Two longtime friends, one a former comedian and the other a world traveler, riff on life, the arts, music, sports, travel and Horehound candy, and follow rabbit holes on just about anything. Much of it tongue in cheek while entertaining themselves and hopefully you. Future plans are interviews and at least one listener.

A 16 year old with a new set of keys is exciting, sweet, and honestly a little terrifying. We start with a family story about a great niece’s sweet 16 and a new car, then get real about the risk that sits in every teenager’s pocket: distracted driving. Texting while driving is not just “a bad habit,” it’s a split second decision that can turn into a crash, and we dig into why it feels so hard to warn someone without sounding preachy.
From there we drift into the memories that shape how we think about safety, confidence, and growing up behind the wheel, from a Volkswagen Beetle with quirks to the legend of a Mustang that looked amazing but drove like trouble. Joe shares a personal moment that still stings: a quick glance down at a ringing phone in slow traffic that ended with a rear end collision. That story becomes our plain spoken case for practical driver safety rules that work for teens and adults alike: reduce temptation, silence the phone, and keep your attention where it belongs.
Then the theme opens up into a bigger question: what are the things we just cannot do? We talk first responders, mine rescues, and the kind of courage it takes to run toward danger, plus the adventures we have tried, like running with the bulls in Pamplona, and the ones we refuse, like skydiving, scuba diving, and roller coasters. If you like honest conversation, dark humor, and real life lessons about risk assessment and knowing your limits, you’ll feel right at home. Welcome Back And Remote Life
SPEAKER_01Hi, everybody. It's Built Down Man and the Cardiff Giant. We're now on episode 62. Uh I'm Joe Flush, and this is my partner Eddie. Hello, everyone. Well, Eddie. Seems like it's been a long time since I've seen you. Have you been here?
SPEAKER_00I've been mostly remote these days.
SPEAKER_01You've been you've been a remote guy, and you like it that way. I do.
SPEAKER_00I like to be remote.
SPEAKER_01But uh what's going on with you?
A Sweet 16 And A New Car
SPEAKER_00Well, um this past week at my great niece um had a birthday, a 16th birthday. She had a s her 16th birthday. Congratulations. Yeah. And uh she's a good girl, by the way. She's a good student, and uh above all, she's one of the kindest human peop human beings I've ever met in my entire life.
SPEAKER_01You go tell her a name?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, her name is uh I thought about not because maybe I'd just make up a name, but her n I'll just give her a Well not is an unusual name. She spells it without a K. Without the So anyway, sh her her name is Addie and uh she lives in Tennessee, but uh she turned 16 this past week, July the ninth, the same day that we ran with the Bulls many years ago. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Um but anyway, her parents and her her grandparents maybe went in on this um and bought her a car. And you know, I I've got mixed feelings about that, and I think most people do, because all of a sudden you give a kid with n no driving experience this thing that weighs several thousand pounds and goes 70 miles an hour, you know, if she wants it to.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So well, you're what kind of car did your parents give you?
SPEAKER_00My parents I I really they didn't really give me a car. They said they let me drive the car that they owned, which was 1963 Chevrolet Impala, which was a pretty nice car back then.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, well, that was one of the cars that
First Cars And Mustang Memories
SPEAKER_01my parents had. Really? Yeah, they had two cars. They had they had also a Volkswagen Beetle uh that I think dad paid like $200 for.
SPEAKER_00You could buy them for a song back then.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you could really and there were just story after story of dad driving that thing. Uh he was driving through Camelsburg, and there was something with the lights would go off periodically. Which was a problem at night at night. And uh so he's driving through, and all of a sudden there's a policeman behind him because the lights go off. And uh as the guy's coming, before dad, dad kept beating on the thing and the lights popped on. The guy goes, What's going on there? He said, I don't know what you're talking about. He said, Well, you didn't have lights on. He said, Yeah, my lights are on. And uh, you know, he pretty much let dad go on that. But the thing had, of course, had no heater.
SPEAKER_00You you remember that? I I wanted Volkswagen Beetle.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I had a bug.
SPEAKER_01You had no heater either.
SPEAKER_00I don't remember having a heater. They didn't have lots of things. I was lucky to have a steering wheel and a brake pedal in that car, I think.
SPEAKER_01They had brake pedals?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. And well I um you have to wonder why you needed one because one wouldn't go very fast at all. It was like a Fred Flintstone card, more or less.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it wasn't our primary car. No. And uh, you know, w for the most part, that's the kind of cars we had. Now later, Dad started getting the hankering for better cars. Yeah. Yeah. And uh the car that I ended up driving my driver's test and can you it's a classic.
SPEAKER_00Uh was it a Dusenberg?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it was right off the right off the line, the Dusenberg. No, it was a 64 and a half Mustang. Yep. Yeah, yep.
SPEAKER_00I remember when those came out.
SPEAKER_01When they came out, Dad had seen them on the the window of the car dealership, and it was a stretch on our budget. Yeah. Big stretch. Cool. But he had to have it. He had to have that car. And the main was everywhere you went, people yelled out Mustang.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Hard to believe that, isn't it? Yeah. We'd go on vacation. We'd go through, I remember going through Georgia, and as we stopped to get gas, people came out to look at the Mustang. Really?
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And it was a cool car.
SPEAKER_01It was a cool car, and it was terrible to drive. It was awful.
SPEAKER_00My great niece got a got a bigger car, which is kind of, you know, on one hand, that's going to be a safer car because it is big. Uh, on the other hand, if she gets into an accident that's a whole lot more more metal to propel in the air, you know. Um, she they bought her a 2021 uh Honda Ford, which is a great, great car. I think safe car, you know, in many ways, it's just practically as safe as as a Volvo. But um I worry about her, and I worry specifically about one thing, other things, but specifically more than any other thing is the fact that all teenagers seem to text, don't they? They all text.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And I don't know whether she knows the danger. She's it seems like she does uh of of texting while driving. You and I both know what that could could cause or what that would entail if you took take your eyes off the road for a little while.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, those uh you know when you and I were doing our driver's test in in those days, we never texted.
SPEAKER_00No, or hardly ever.
SPEAKER_01And it was even worse because you had to you had to write letters.
SPEAKER_00That's right.
SPEAKER_01Um, no, that is it's one of those new problems.
SPEAKER_00Yeah that I and you read about it every year. There are people, not just teenagers, not just young drivers, drivers across the H spectrum who who text and drive and think that they can get by with it. But there's just too much going on on roads these days, and we know that it just takes a second. You know, she might not hit somebody in the rear end, but she might get the um the wheel off on the shoulder, and it it would be a bad situation. And you just wonder how how how how much she uh recognizes the danger of that, not being a driver up until now.
SPEAKER_01Does she need a driver doula?
SPEAKER_00She could use a driver doula, probably. A DD. It wouldn't be a designated driver, but a driver doula.
SPEAKER_01Uh you uh so you you tell her she can't do it?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I wrote her a text the other day, and I don't want to overstep my I don't know what my boundaries are when I talk to my great niece because she has good parents and she has good drunk grandparents, and you know, I'm just a great uncle, and sometimes I worry that people will say, Well, what what cat or what dog do you have in the fight? Well, I I love my great niece, you know, and she has an opportunity to live a long life. Let's try to figure out how to get her there. How do you get there? And we've been lucky, I guess. Well, obviously, we're still here.
SPEAKER_01So Yeah, it's it's it's a f a funny thing about all that. I mean, it truly is different. I mean, I didn't get my first car till I graduated college and bought it. Yeah. And I was 20 uh early 20s. I bought a Chevy Nova, which is another uh that's a great car too. It was. I mean, if it wasn't for having to replace the muffler and uh the exhaust system like every six months, uh it was a great two two classic cars you just described, that Mustang and the Chevy Nova. I don't know if my I don't know if my particular uh Nova would be a classic or not.
SPEAKER_00No, I think it would.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. It was uh chamois colored. Uh yeah yeah when I first saw it, I it was new to me. I was like, what is it, camas? I uh yeah. Yeah, I I thought it was yellow, but it was no, it was a chamois color. And both of those cars, at least at least the Mustang, I mean, uh it was a horrible car as far as driving, but uh man, I wish we held on to that.
SPEAKER_00Do you know what the word chamois comes from?
Texting While Driving Fear
SPEAKER_00You know, this is a this is another public service announcement. I said, So it's French? Is it French?
SPEAKER_01I figured it was French because it that seemed like it and by the way, I this is it sounds like I'm going down a different rabbit hole, but we have a new listener from France.
SPEAKER_00Well, this is especially for that listener to for them to know that we know a little bit about the French language. It comes from Chamois or Chamoy, C-H-A-M-O-I-S. It comes from that. And and uh most people just even people that that have produced even people that have manufactured these things, they don't put that word on on the on the label. They put what ch-h-a-m-m-y on it for chamois. No, they didn't.
SPEAKER_01This one didn't have the French word on it?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, really, yeah, yeah, it sure did.
SPEAKER_01And what I found is the people that uh I grew up with, uh, they called it yeller.
SPEAKER_00You know what my parents called it? What? Bilius. Bilius? Yes. From bile, from the word bile. Uh oh. And using the adjective bilileus. That's what my mother called it. Well, that's quite bilious. Is that French?
SPEAKER_01I think it is. Boy, the French got a lot of words for yellow, don't they?
SPEAKER_00They do.
SPEAKER_01But anyway, I don't know. It's just you're you're right. I mean, safety, safety is hard to tell people about when they're conveyed that. When they're 16. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00It you you think, well, it almost has to happen to them at least a little bit somehow. I've run off the side of the road, haven't you?
SPEAKER_01I'd I'll tell you what I did, uh, related to my phone.
The Rear End Lesson In Traffic
SPEAKER_01Uh I I don't text and I try not to ever talk on the phone while I'm doing it, but I had it uh in the cup holder, which we didn't have cup holders back in the day. We needed them. Just hold on to the Pepsi can and when they finally did, they'd give you this little plastic thing you'd stick on the the window. That's right. And uh, which stayed in place like oh at least 20% of the time. Yeah, right. Uh but no, the I was driving along a slow in traffic here on Nicholsville Road, and the phone rang. I'd look down immediately to the cup holder and back up, and it was already too late. I rear-ended somebody, yeah. And uh, you know, it wasn't that much damage because we weren't going very fast, but it was a good reminder to me to just leave it. Yeah, turn it off was the best idea.
SPEAKER_00Yes, please. Uh so I hope we were able to, I'm able to pass that on to anybody that's a young driver or even a middle-aged or um or experienced driver, uh, but especially to my niece Addie, if she were to ever listen to this podcast.
SPEAKER_01I'm just gonna if I ever talk to Addie, I would tell her that you really are a doula when it comes to driving. So listen to that doula. He will guide you. He will he will guide you through the river sticks.
SPEAKER_00That's right.
SPEAKER_01Um you know Ed.
First Responders And Real Bravery
SPEAKER_01Uh I was thinking the other day about some things, and this what came up was there was a story on about um some uh some kids, or this may have been adults in this one that were caught in a mine. It got flooded. They went into the uh the mine, and then in the meantime there was more water came than they expected, and had flooded out the whole thing. And they and so they were caught in pockets, and they had to call for uh first responders to come to uh help evict these people from that mine. And it and it really was a complex thing. You had to be a really good diver, uh, small passages and things like that. And Mary Kay said, I said, I man, I couldn't do that. She said, What, be a minor? And I said, No, be a first responder. Or either one, actually. No, I said, well, no. Yeah, yeah. Uh we were minors at one time, but now that's right. But not but not that kind of mind. That's right. But I, you know, I'm kind of ashamed to say that, but I don't think I could do it. Could could you be a first responder?
SPEAKER_00Um I I could be an emergency uh first responder if I were put in a situation, but wouldn't be certainly wouldn't be a vocation that I'd ever aspire to at all. I don't think I could do it.
SPEAKER_01I would I would panic so much that I don't think that I would be. I'd I'd I'll tell you what, I could find somebody for them. I could uh my job would be to find a first responder for the first responder for the first responder. Exactly. But no, these people do what they do, my God, it's it's a job that and I've known, you know, I've got people in my family that have been first responders, uh and that like bad traffic accidents and stuff like that would come in. Maybe the car catches on fire and they do and they couldn't I couldn't do it.
SPEAKER_00I wouldn't have the stomach for it.
SPEAKER_01Uh it it just scares the hell out of me. But there's a lot of there's a lot of things that I couldn't do, and I don't think there's it, you know, you said you could teach me to play the guitar. You could probably do that before you could teach me to be a first responder. Probably.
SPEAKER_00I would guess that.
SPEAKER_01I one thing I I thought about that with you remember uh the actor Steve Bushini?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, of course.
SPEAKER_01He's in a lot of things, he's in so many good movies.
SPEAKER_00Great actor, character actor.
SPEAKER_01And one thing that really uh impressed me about that young man, or he's our age, so middle-aged at the time. Yeah, uh, is that uh after 9-11, he had already been a volunteer fireman, firefighter. And uh after 9-11, he went out there every day. He went out there to help them do everything that they needed to do for months and stuff. Uh that always impressed me. I think, my God, here's a guy who could just sit back and go, well, they got plenty of people. It's not gonna be me. Here's a guy that knows how to do that stuff and can be of help.
SPEAKER_00You know, I'm gonna have to rethink that. I I didn't mean to stop you in mid-thought and hope I didn't, but um you asked me if I could do that. Many, many times I've thought about volunteering for natural disasters relief, frig for uh hurricanes and tornadoes and things like that and fires. Yeah. I've thought about doing that many, many, many times. But in these situations, it wasn't it wasn't at the time, it was the aftermath of it. Well, that's you do you think you could do that?
SPEAKER_01I mean, I could probably if you know, if I was in better health than a man, I could probably bring water to somebody. Yeah, you can do something like that. I can throw paper towels out too. Yeah, yeah. I'd uh I can do some stuff like that, but you're right. It's the the car is on fire, what can I do?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it'd be rough.
SPEAKER_01I don't think I can run in and see if I can pull a body out of there.
SPEAKER_00Well, I I can tell you, having known you all these years, uh, I know that your mind works quick enough, but you don't think you could put that your body in in to action quick enough, or you'd just be reluctant to do it.
SPEAKER_01Unless my brain was shifted just from the panic of the whole thing and I ended up doing something that maybe I could lift the car over the off the baby and stuff like that. Yeah. Uh but there's a lot of things, I guess, that I you know could have done in my life that I've chosen. It was never on my list of things. You know, you get a short list because life is short.
Running With The Bulls Revisited
SPEAKER_01And uh uh so we you and I did run in Pampolono with the Bulls.
SPEAKER_00As a matter of fact, I fact I posted that today on on Facebook because we did it several years ago. Um you were able you were at uh you were able to move fast and think fast for that though, weren't you, Joe?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I kind of won't I kind of zoned out a bit. I remember being at a point where I know I could have put my arm out and touched the bull. I chose not to. But then there are also not not only the bulls, but the steers. That's right. And the difference between the bulls and the steers is bulls are a little heftier and and angrier. They're all big animals running in the streets. The steers still have long horns. Yes. They were, you know, they were long-horn steers. We couldn't stop to check to see if they were steers. No, no, it was just run. And uh I always try to make sure there was a body in front of me. Somebody if I got gored, there was gonna be going through two bodies because uh they had a thing on the radio yesterday about the running. They had a guy who uh read The Sun Also Rises when he was a kid. And it prompted him to want to do that, I guess. Yeah, he wrote books about and he's now he's now come become an expert in that whole thing and has done it hundreds of times. Yeah, it's protesting fate. Well, he's failed a few times. Yeah, he's been he's been gored pretty bad two or three times. And he his attitude was yeah, if you if you uh want to do the thing, it's a possibility. A good run is when you almost get gored, but not quite. I don't know that I think that. No, I neither. But I I love that whole thing. We should have done an episode on that. Maybe we still will.
SPEAKER_00We can still do that, especially since it's lasted until the 14th, so we we got some time before that if we want
Skydiving And Roller Coaster Refusal
SPEAKER_00to put it out. But but but the thing is we've talked about running with the bullshit before, but we haven't talked about would you uh you would you be willing to jump out of a plane with the parachutes? I would not.
SPEAKER_01And well the plane is going down. Maybe I'll be like that young lady. I'd just fall two miles out there and hope for the best. Yeah. Uh but no, I mean, it's interesting because my sister did. Did she? Yeah, she's uh and I think she did it, if I remember right, it was before they had anybody that went with you. It was just you and the parachute.
SPEAKER_00It's been a while back for her, I guess. And uh how long ago?
SPEAKER_01Uh God 20 years, thirty years?
SPEAKER_00Uh uh probably forty. Maybe before she had children, maybe, or not. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah, it was before the kids, yes. I would bet. Uh she and and her husband, Eddie, they both did that. And I know that the uh buckle or whatever that they hold on to, it came up and hit her in the mouth pretty bad once she landed. Really? But uh but they did it successfully, and they were like, Well, I'm surprised you wouldn't want to do it. I'm going, I no, I can't imagine any part of that. I don't even I don't even like being on roller coaster.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, well, neither. I can't ride a roller coaster. I've done it maybe once or twice in my life. Is that right? Only that yeah, and it wasn't it was a mini a mini roller coaster, really, because it was uh um it was at uh Disney World. Oh yeah. So that's not even a big roller coaster at first. No, no. I mean what is it? Space, what's up, whatever? Yes, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah, I actually liked that one. I thought that well, it was so easy that it was not you say, yeah, yeah. Um there are I rode some that were Space Mountain. Yeah, yeah. Uh that that's actually a pretty pleasant one. That if I was gonna talk about ones I like, that would be at the top of it.
SPEAKER_00I have to tell this quick story. There was a little girl, I was in college at the time, and there was this little girl standing beside me. I guess you could already read the terror on my face because she couldn't couldn't have been more than five or six. She put her hand in mind and said, She said, Mister, this looks a little bit scary, doesn't it? And I go, and I go, You have no idea how I feel about this.
SPEAKER_01So you've done that one, and what other ones did you?
SPEAKER_00I don't think I've ever done another one except for Space Mountain. And I'm not gonna do, I'm not gonna do so. You and I are not going to King's Isle. Or not. Now I I don't know that three or four good sized men could put me on a roller coaster and make me ride it because I'd fight to the death. I really would.
SPEAKER_01Need a roller coaster doula.
SPEAKER_00That's right.
SPEAKER_01We're gonna do the hell out of this, you know? Uh what about if somebody gets you by the scruff of the neck? that's not gonna that's not gonna help.
Skiing Stories And Cold Reality
SPEAKER_01Well uh yeah that but you know in a lifetime there's a lot of things that that uh you have to leave off no nobody can do at all no they cannot I can't go all the places I plan to go and so some of the things that I could eliminate see I you talk about uh roller coasters uh or even skydiving I couldn't do that but I also have snow skied and I had fun doing it the three or four times I did it but you were doing it at Carrollton State Park one one of the places yes I did go to did they manufacture snow there a little bit or not I can't I I don't know and I don't even know if they're still doing it I don't know I don't think they are uh I went to Snowshoe West Virginia one of them and uh I went down the bunny slope and I was all out just to keep myself up I think I did fall down two or three times no you you try to triangle the front of those snow plows they call that snow plow down and I was continually trying to do that I didn't see Bodhi doing that oh no I didn't Bodie what are you doing? I'm just trying to stay upie Miller Bodhi Miller that's right yeah and uh I don't know if you know this but uh Bob Baffert named his son Bodhi after him really and they had uh a horse named Bodie Meister who ran second in the Derby M Priness. Uh so did you put any money on Bodhi Meister?
SPEAKER_00I I you know I don't know I know that I I didn't put any money on that but I didn't have the winner either so I have a lot of I have a lot of stories about losing tickets which have less to do with snow skiing than than than than you think yeah yeah yeah how did I get there from I'm going from skiing to boating to Bob Beverts uh to horse um but that's uh I I'm not gonna I s I cross country skied uh years ago in Chamony uh France and uh you're still trying to get those French I am so it sounds like chamo chamois or chamois but it's not a champagne but anyway um that was the last time I tried to ski and I'm not gonna try it again. I don't care anything I don't like be cold and wet for one thing.
SPEAKER_01I just don't you know so it's a turnoff well it's funny that you mentioned that because while he was in snowshoe it was a very cold day. It was fine while you were moving. Oh yeah it's uh but the it was so cold that once you got to the bottom of the thing it was too cold to be there and I don't remember everything because they passed out. Really? Yep I passed out I wake up and inside one of the little stores they'd taken me into one of the stores did they hit brand a little bit St.
SPEAKER_00Bernard a little bit of like a keg on his collar should have gotten a drink that should have gotten Oscar out there.
SPEAKER_01Oscar it seemed like he would be set for that people have no idea what we're talking about St. Bernard with the the little look at the keg carrying the keg look at a there it was it was uh yeah that was the whole thing that St. Bernard's are great for if you're buried under the snow they would dig out a hole and tell you what the keg was for was it like Mountain Dew cognac or something I think cognac but once again they're into the French that's right cognac uh but yeah I mean I'm I'm just funny about stuff like that and I don't like anything that has to do with water uh like the water skiing thing I never tried it once not once I liked it actually that's I was around it I rode on the boat yeah and then I saw I people like my dad get up on the skis and you know I went to Cypress Gardens a few times. I don't know if that counts so you know what it looked like when you ski it and I thought I I don't get it it seems like it would be a challenge and you go okay I'm on my feet and then you know five seconds later I'm bored of it all.
Scuba Submersibles And Control Fears
SPEAKER_00I'd like things in which there's uh a goal a challenge a goal what about uh scuba would you no that's something I wouldn't do I have friends I mean my wife has has is certified for scuba yeah uh but that's not something I'd even be she couldn't be your scuba doah she'd be my scuba doah uh the you could tell her this the one problem that I have with scuba is you have to put your head under water.
SPEAKER_01That's a problem. And there's no air there. That's right. I mean I know you carry a can canister but I like it I like free flowing air. If it's a canister I'm on my deathbed uh and and they're beating the oxygen or something that way.
SPEAKER_00But but let me ask you this the the the what you could see underwater would be interesting like say for example looking for the Titanic remains or something like that. Wouldn't you think that'd be or these ships that are off the coast of Florida pirate ships you know that they go down and I think it's I think it's pretty cool seeing it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. You know maybe if we built our own submersible you and I could maybe get uh like Mike Heron or somebody one of our friends to get in that submersible and go down and take a look at it and be able to you know like sit in it in lazy boy recliners maybe and have a glass of yes while we're while we're looking coat to wrong that's right uh yeah we could do that but then we have seen that that can go wrong yeah with people in their little that's right uh I I don't know why I think life has a whole lot of those that are built into us and I'm glad there are people that that test that you know uh that I mean I'm the same way about flying the airplane absolutely not for one thing I'm not a good map reader so I'd have problems with that I can do the map reading part I could help you with the map reading part the problem that I want I don't want to be in an airplane that I control.
Mountains Kilimanjaro And Knowing Limits
SPEAKER_00Yeah it's just me neither what about mountain climbing have you ever thought that you wanted to do that? I've thought about it.
SPEAKER_01But you're not but you're not no no no I I I like the idea and if we're talking about mountains you know I I've been to the Smoky Mountains and gone to the what Cleanman's Dome there's like you have to hike it at least two miles.
SPEAKER_00But that the key word there is hike. Yeah hike you can hike up it can't you yeah so that's not climbing you know that well no I mean it sort of is but you're going you're going upward. Did you have some uh climbing equipment with you?
SPEAKER_01I was about ten so uh I think I think I just walked and thought man two miles is a long way when you're going uphill yeah it is but all right can do you think I could do it now no I do you think you could I think I could go two miles. It would take me a while okay um and maybe I set that out as a challenge. Maybe my chance to go back to cleaning the dome is not over. You and I could make that a road trip.
SPEAKER_00We could do that. Years ago I asked my family physician who I happened to love you know just as a family physician nothing more than that I have to make that perfectly plain I suppose but I did love him. He was really smart and and honest. I said I'm thinking about climbing Kilmanjaro and it was right after I had a blood clot in my lungs I had a full man and he said simply I'd pick another event I'd pick another goal if I were you and it ain't gonna be that one it could be could be your it would be your last one it should not be.
SPEAKER_01We'd be calling from the death doula that's right uh but yeah but I mean you you kind of want to you know I would rather uh climb count Kilmanjaro which is not the worst one no by far not uh it's probably bigger than Klingman's stone it probably is uh probably is but I wouldn't want to climb like K2 and you know part of the reason why it doesn't sound impressive to me. Well it doesn't have a mountain name really does it no we need a mountain name you know even if it was a big ass mountain yeah we could do that.
SPEAKER_00Is K3 taller than K2 you'd think it would be wouldn't you in K4 and K5?
SPEAKER_01Yeah I I'm not just I'm not even sure which Ks there are I know there's a K2 for sure. We don't even know if there's a K1 do we merely beat K. It'd just be K. Yeah the first one surely they didn't name it and go, I'm gonna name this one K1 because we got a whole bunch of coming well Eddie I think we have uh probably beat this horse what is this episode?
Naming The Theme And Signing Off
