Welcome to One Gospel, bringing you the full truth of God's Word. Clearly explained. Together with our host, Johann Tuit, we'll unpack scripture to understand what's written and grow as a disciple of Christ. Ready to take notes? Let's open the Bible.
SPEAKER_01Hi there, and welcome to today's episode of One Gospel. I am your host, Johan Tut, and as always, I am excited to share the word of God with you. And so I've started this teaching called In Christ. And man, I've been covering a lot of beautiful stuff, uh, way too much to cover. But I really want to encourage you to go back and uh you know start at the beginning of the series so you will step right into the flow. Amen. And uh so but uh basically I've been sharing on the fact that who we are now in Christ Jesus, and so um I've spoken on the fact that we are now sanctified and holy, uh, that we have the peace and the grace of God within our lives, uh, that we have been chosen and accepted before the foundations of the earth to become his children. Uh, you know, that we have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places, and I've been covering a few of those blessings, and I also shared on the blessing of Abraham, and um I've shared on our identity in Christ, basically, you know, the I am in Christ Jesus. And so today, uh, you know, um I want to continue in this series, and um, we left up in left off in the first episode where I've been teaching on the favor of God, how we now are favored and endued with grace, highly favored and endued with grace. And man, it was really a blessing. And so today I want to continue on something that I believe is really, you know, will shake you a little bit, but nevertheless, you know, it's the truth, and the truth will set you free, amen. So, Father God, thank you for this teaching, and uh, I really pray that it will bless people that hear it, and uh, I give you all the honor and all the praise in the name of Jesus. Amen. Amen. And so I want to start saying things today that we are not used to say, or maybe never have said, or are afraid to say, you know, and but I want to show you by the word of God that we not only should say those things, but we also must say those things if we want to live a life in victory and if we want to live the life in the fullness, you know, that God has established for us through the death and the resurrection of His Son Jesus. So, you know, if we do not see any breakthroughs in our lives, if we do not see the victory in our lives, you know, then there is something wrong with our sound, you know. And um, if you want to change your scenery, you need to change your sound, you need to change the things that you say. Uh because what you say has everything to do with what you have, because the Bible teaches me that I have what I say, if what I say I believe in my heart and confess with my mouth, and so uh, you know, your words and the things that you speak there are really important and really powerful, and it can change the course of your life. Man, that's already a lot, you know. Just for you to understand, for example, you know, the Bible says, I believe in Matthew 7, but don't keep me on the exactly where it said it, but you know, it says that you know, based on your words you will be judged, and based on your words you will be justified. And then in Romans 10 it says that when you believe in your heart and you confess with your mouth, you will be saved. And so, with the words that you speak, you know, you became a child of God by the words that you spoke, and there is a lot to say about that, but there is power in our words. I mean, there is a lot of power in our words, so if you want to change your scenery, you need to change your sound. So, Paul says in 1 Corinthians 15, verse 10, he says, By the grace of God I am what I am. Now, who do you say that you are? And what do you say that you are? Do you really know what your true identity is? Do you really know who you are according to what God says? And then do you speak that? Do you confess that? Or are you confessing things that God doesn't say about you? Are you confessing things that are not in line with the word of truth? Well, you know, let us look at Moses. You know, Moses had an encounter with uh the Lord in the desert, you know, in the burning bush. So I just want to go through the story with you guys, and um, you know, and then uh we will see where we get. So it's a lot, so I don't want to read all of the story, it's it's it's in Exodus 3, verse 1 until 22. But basically, Moses was attending the flock of Jetro, and then an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush, and when he looked, he saw that the bush was burning with fire, and so he wanted to go and check it out. And so when God saw that he came, he said, Moses, and he said, Here I am. And then he said, Do not draw near to this place, take your sandals off your feet, verse 5, for the place where you stand is holy ground. And so, moreover, I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look upon him. And then he says, Listen, I have seen the oppression of my people in Egypt, you know, and I'm gonna deliver them, and I'm gonna deliver them through your hands. So just continuing the story, he says, uh He says here in verse 10, he says, Come now, this is God speaking, therefore, and I will send you to the Pharaoh that you may bring my people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt. But then Moses said to God, Who am I? And this is what a lot of Christians ask nowadays, you know. They say, Who am I? You know, who am I? I am who God says that I am. Who am I? And so here it says, Moses says, Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt? So God said, I will certainly be with you. So he just appeared to him in the bush, flames of fire, and he says, You know, um, I am the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and I have seen the oppression of my people, and I've heard their calls, and I'm gonna send you, and you're gonna deliver them. And then he says, Who am I? And then God says, Listen, I am gonna be with you. Sorry, and this shall be a sign that I have sent you. When you have brought your people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain. But then Moses said to God, indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, The God of your fathers has sent me to you, and they say to me, What is his name? What shall I say to them? And God said to Moses, I am that I am, or I am who I am. And thus say you shall say to the children of Israel, I am has sent you. Man, this is such a powerful statement from God. You know what is what is your name? Who should I say that has sent you? I am. That's so powerful. Man, I can feel the I can feel the anointing, I can feel the weight of when God said that, I am. You know, it's just like, man. So, but then God also said to Moses, and you shall say that the Lord your God, the God of your father Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob, has sent me to you, and this is my name forever, and this is my memorial to all generations. Now go there and tell them that I uh have seen them, and I will surely come to happen to help them. And so continues the story. Uh verse 18. Uh God says, And then they will heed your voice, and you shall come, and you and the elders of Israel, the king of Egypt, and you shall say to them, The Lord God of the Hebrews has met with us, and now please let us go three days' journey into the wilderness that we may sacrifice the Lord your God. But I'm sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, not even by a mighty hand. So I will stretch out my hand and I will strike Egypt with all my wonders, which I will do in the midst, and after that they will let you go. And I will give this people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, and it shall be that when you go, you shall not go empty-handed. You see, God is always is already, God is already already talking as it is a done deal, because I am is talking. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is talking, the God of the people of Israel is talking, and he said, Listen, I've seen the oppression, I've heard their calls, you know, and I'm gonna deliver them, and I'm gonna deliver them through you. And if they ask you who who did send you, you say, I am has sent you. I am has sent you, and I am has heard them, and I am is gonna deliver them, and you're gonna talk to the pharaoh, and you're gonna say this, this, this, and then he will not let you go. But I'll I will do a lot of signs and wonders, you know, and they will let you go. And then when they when you go, I I will you will plunder them also. I will make sure that they give you all their silver and all their gold. I am have spoken. This is powerful for God, it's already a done deal. God wasn't, you know, he wasn't doubting, like maybe if you go, this can happen, or maybe if you go, this can happen, you know, and you know, who knows? Let's let's give it a shot, let's give it a try. You know, God for him it's already a done deal, he knows exactly what's gonna happen. But look what Moses says. Moses says in verse um in chapter four of Exodus verse one, he says, But suppose they will not believe me or listen to my voice. Suppose they say the Lord has not appeared to you. So then the Lord said, Okay, what do you have in your hand? He says, I got a stick, oh, throw it on the floor, turns into a snake, and he runs away. God called him back. He comes back, takes them by the tail, and bam, he becomes a stick again, you know. And then he also said, uh, you know, um, and then in verse 5, he says here, first, chapter 4, verse 5, that they may believe that the Lord God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob has appeared to you. And then he also said, put your hand in your bosom and take them out. He took them out, he was withered, put them back in again, you know, and then put them out again, and then it was okay, you know. It was, or it was not with us, it was it was leprous. I'm sorry. And so, and then it was not leprous again. And said, He said, If you do not believe you and do not believe the message of the first sign, maybe they believe you for the latter sign. And he says, and if you don't even believe these two signs, then take water from the river, put it on the dry land, it will turn into blood, and then surely they will believe you. You know, and so God is saying, Listen, I'm gonna do all these signs and wonders, but if they not believe you, then you know, just throw your stick on the floor and it will turn into a snake. And if they do not believe it, then put your hand in your boss and pull it out, and it will be leprechaun. So you put it back in and pull it out, it will be like your flesh again. If they do not believe that sign, just take water and put it on the floor, on the on the ground from the now, you know, and it will turn into blood. You know, I am has sent you, and I have spoken. Now, this is serious stuff. I mean, you already appeared to him like a flame in the bush that didn't burn, amen. And God spoke to him, Moses. Moses, put off your shoes. This is holy ground. He knew immediately that he was the Lord, he was afraid to look up, you know, and man, I'm just saying, and then Moses says this to the Lord in verse 10, Exodus 4, chapter 4, verse 10. He says, Then Moses says to the Lord, Oh my Lord, I am not. Man, there is so much to say here. He says, I am not eloquent, neither before neither before nor since you have spoken to your servant. So, man, you know, I can jump off my chair here, you know, because look what God said, what Moses says, He says, I am not eloquent, neither I wasn't before you spoke to me, and I'm not since you have spoken to me, I'm not eloquent. He didn't he doesn't believe God, you know, because after God spoke, you know, for sure you could think, Man, I was not eloquent. But if he says that I can go and I need to do this and that, and they're gonna do all the signs and wonders, then probably it's gonna be like that, you know. Because if God said it, then it's so, amen. But he says, No, I'm not. I'm not eloquent, neither before nor since you have spoken to your servant, but I am now he's gonna say something about himself that is not in line with what God was saying. He's gonna start, he's gonna say something else than what God is saying. He says, I am slow of speech and I am slow of tongue. So God says, I am, and I'm gonna do all that, and you are gonna go there and you're gonna tell them, and you and it's gonna, I'm gonna do it through your hands, I'm gonna do it through your mouth. And then Moses says, I am not, I am not eloquent, I am slow of speech, I never have been eloquent, not before and not after you have spoken to me. So he wasn't saying what God was saying. You know, God tells him, Listen, you know, I am with you. Moses says, But I am not, you know, it's a crazy situation. But look what God says here in verse 11. He says, Who has made man's mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the Lord? Now, therefore, verse 12, go and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say. I am will be with your mouth, and I am will teach you what you need to say. So you're not gonna speak your words, I am not, I am not eloquent, I am slow of speech. You're gonna speak my words, because I am gonna be with your mouth. This is powerful, powerful, powerful stuff. Every time God says, I am, and Moses says, I am not. I mean, he even considers here, he says, Man, he says, When God says, I am gonna be with your mouth, and I'm gonna teach what you say in verse 13, then Moses said, But oh my Lord, please send by the hand of whoever else you may send. No, after all these things that God said to him, and what he's gonna do, and that he's gonna be with his mouth, and then he's gonna give him his words and everything, you know, and he still says, Please send somebody else, because I am not eloquent and I am slow of speech. He didn't speak what God was saying, he made a different sound than what God was saying. You know, he even says that the anger of the Lord was kindled. You gotta understand every time God says something, and then Moses says, I am not, you know, he says something and I am not, I am not able. Man, it was really, really amazing. So, anyway, amazing, but also sad because Moses wasn't making the sound that God was making, he didn't say what God was saying, he didn't believe God because he was looking into the natural and he was speaking what he saw and what he knew about himself in the natural. I am not eloquent, I am slow of speech, you know, and so and they will not believe me, and all that kind of stuff. And so we can read the same story in Jeremiah if we go to Jeremiah 1. It's exactly the same story, but then it's Jeremiah here instead of Moses. Now, it also is very encouraging for us because, man, if you know, we we know what God did through Moses, He led these people out of Egypt, He did mighty wonders, mighty signs, man, split the ocean, and so on and so forth. A lot of amazing stuff happened through the hands of Moses. And we know that Jeremiah, you know, was like the real mouth of God, he was an amazing prophet. But I'm just saying that they also didn't believe in themselves and didn't really immediately wanted to accept what God said about them because they looked into the natural and they spoke what they felt and they spoke what they saw, and they spoke what have been told to them, the picture that they have created about themselves through all of their lives. Yet God still used them powerfully. And so, even though we maybe have said things that are not in line with the word of God, we can change it and we can start to believe God, and God can do mighty wonders through you, are your and my life because you know he is the same yesterday and forever. If he already did this to this amazing great man of God, man, how much more can he do it now through us? That we are his children in Christ Jesus, man. I'm telling you, it's giving me hope to know that God still used those people that said, I am not, I cannot, I have not, I am not able. Who am I? You know, and God still worked with them, you know, and did amazing things. That gives me hope. That's what I wanted to say. That's what I'm trying to say. And so, Jeremiah 1, verse 4, we will read here. Well, let me yeah, let me just read uh from verse 4. Jeremiah 1, verse 4. Then the word of the Lord came to me, Jeremiah, saying that the Lord said, Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I sanctified you, I ordained you a prophet to the nations. And then I said, said Jeremiah, O Lord, behold, I cannot speak, for I am a youth, or I am a child, it says in some translations. So God says, Listen, I have formed you, I knew you before you were born, I have sanctified you, man, and I have ordained you to as a prophet to the nations. And then Jeremiah says, Oh Lord, but I cannot speak. I am slow of speech, I am not eloquent, I am but a child. But look what God says. God says verse 7 do not say I am a youth. Don't say what I am not saying. Say what I am saying. Don't say I am youth, for you shall go to all whom I sent you, and whatever I command you, you shall speak. Whatever I say, you shall speak. You're not gonna say what you say. Don't say I am a child, don't say I am slow speak speak uh speech, don't say I am not eloquent, I am not. Don't say that. Say what I say and say what I command you to say. This is God speaking to you and speaking to me. Don't say what Satan says, don't say what the news says, don't say what the government says, don't say what this world says, don't say what the doctor says, don't say what your bank account says, say what I say, says God. If everything else is not saying what I say, then don't say it. And so God says, I give you my words, not your words. I'm gonna give you my words in your mouth. And what God says to Jeremiah, he says to you and me, he says, Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, before you were born, I sanctified you. Now we have been reading in this series a lot from Ephesians, and so let's go back quickly to Ephesians there, because it's very strong here in Ephesians 1, God says, the word of God says, Blessed be the God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, just as he chooses us in him before the foundations of the world. So before I formed you, before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Here it says, just as he chose us in before the foundations of the world, that we should be holy and blamely before him in love. I have sanctified you. Same thing. And then he says, having predestined us to adoptions as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself according to the good pleasures of his will. And so before I formed you, I in the womb, I knew you before you were born, I sanctified you. The same thing he speaks. God says, I am that I am, have called you, and I am that I am, have sanctified you, and I am that I am, says who you are. I am that I am, says who you are. I am that I am, says who I am. So you cannot say I am not if God says that you are. You you can say it, but then you will bear the fruit of it. You have to say what God says. Don't say I am but a child, I am not a man of many words, I am not eloquent, I am slow of speech. You know, God says, Who has given man a mouth? Is it not I, the Lord? So he will say, I will be with your mouth, I will fill your mouth with my words, I will satisfy your mouth with good things, with good things, the things that I speak, the things of above, the things of the kingdom, the things of my word, the truth. You speak that. You have to take it upon your lips and speak it and believe it in your heart. Don't say what I am not saying. Don't say what is not in line with the word of God. Don't say I am a wretched sinner. Say I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Don't say I am sick, say I am healed by the stripes of my Lord. Don't say I am poor, say I am rich because he became poor for me. Don't say I am cursed when God says that you are blessed. You know, don't say what God does not say. Don't counter his truth with your lies, but counter your lies with his truth. Say his truth, say what I am is saying. Amen. You know, I was um I have been healed uh several times from like Crazy kinds of things that were attacking me, like yellow fever, you know, and COVID, you know, COVID didn't last like an hour. It didn't last an hour, and it was gone like this. But yellow fever nearly killed me, you know. But then I just stood on the word of God and said what God said, you know. But then I had this thing. I was traveling. I've got a few more minutes. I'm gonna try to share this testimony with you. I um I was traveling from Pakistan to Colombia, Colombia, Brazil, Brazil, the Netherlands, the Netherlands, back to Colombia, and then back to Brazil or Africa, Brazil. I'm not it was a crazy travel with a lot of different time zones. And there was one time that I spent 36 hours in a plane. I mean, it was really like mental, you know, like really crazy. Like short stop back into the plane, another 12 hours, short stop back into the plane, another 12 hours. And man, and I was in Panama before I started this crazy travel. And in Panama, it's like I don't know, it's very hot outside. And everywhere inside they have the echo like max. If it's in the car, restaurant, whatever you go, it's max. So every time I came from outside to the inside, there was a max echo. So from heat to cold, heat to cold, heat to cold. And since I was already, you know, really traveling a lot and very tired and didn't eat well and didn't take really care of myself, I got attacked by cold. And so that cold during my travels to all those countries, you know, and all these different time zones, all these different temperatures, and all that kind of stuff, that cold, you know, it it was very tricky because I was countering it and I was talking against it, but it but it didn't leave like I wanted it to leave. And so finally I got back into Brazil. When I go I got back into Brazil, uh, you know, I became uh I became under attack of this heavy flu and fever. I mean really heavy fever. I was sweating so much that I had not one towel in the house anymore, not one sheet in the house anymore that was dry. I was sweating so much and I was shivering and shaking and I couldn't hardly breathe, coughing a lot and everything. And so after a few days of battling that and attacking it and speaking the word of God over it, you know, I finally went to the hospital and when because I felt I was going to die. And I went to the hospital, and in the hospital they took it, they took an x-ray of my lungs and they came to tell me. So they didn't give me anything, they just came to tell me you have a pneumonia. And you know, this can take months, but you are in a bad shape. So, you know, um, we want to give you want to give you all this medication, blah blah blah. I said, listen. And they also said that you know it's gonna take a long time for you to be healed. And I said, now I'll break that in the name of Jesus. You know, now I know what is attacking me, I also know what I can counter, what I need to attack myself. And so I went back that night to my home and I started to battle it. That pneumonia. I was not attacking the symptoms anymore, I was attacking the pneumonia that was attacking me. In the name of Jesus, I am healed by the stripes of my Lord. I am healed, I'm not gonna die, I'm gonna live. And you're a liar. I don't have this. This is attacking me, and I rebuke it, and I cast it out in the name of Jesus. Pneumonia, I rebuke you and I curse you and I bind you right now in the name of Jesus. And I was battling that the whole night and just speaking the word of God over it, and I was sweating so much, like mental, you know, just I lost so much weight. I've never sweat so much in my life. I didn't know that a body had so much liquid in it, you know, it just was second bones after, you know, because I sweat so much, you know, it was like unbelievable. But the next morning, you know, I was in bed with a very high fever. But the next morning when I woke up, I was completely healed and completely set free. Because I don't say what the doctor says, and I don't say I am sick. You know, don't let any inhabitants say, or uh any inhabitants of Zion say I am sick. So don't say it because I'm an inhabitant of Zion, amen. I am saying maybe I'm under attack, but I'm healed by the stripes of my Lord. You know, I am healed by the stripes of Jesus. You know, maybe, you know, I can say, you know, I I am I am feeling very unwell, but you know, God says, and you know, by his stripes, you know, I will not die, etc., etc. etc. Instead of confessing what I feel and what the doctor says, I confess what God says. I speak what God says, so that I will have what God says that I have, instead of I will have what the world says that I have, or the doctor says, or my body says that I have. And so it's important that you choose your words. We need to speak what God speaks, amen. So I'm gonna continue this in the next episode, and I hope you were blessed, and I hope to see you again. God bless you. Bye-bye.
