Welcome to One Gospel, bringing you the full truth of God's Word. Clearly explained. Together with our host, Johann Tuit, we'll unpack scripture to understand what's written and grow as a disciple of Christ. Ready to take notes? Let's open the Bible.
SPEAKER_01Hi there and welcome to today's episode of One Gospel. I am your host, Joan Toot, and as always, I am excited to share the Word of God with you. And so I've started this teaching, this series called In Christ. And man, I've shared a lot and I've covered a lot concerning our identity in Christ Jesus, that you know who we are, and I've shared on you know how we are now blessed, how we now are favored. I've shared on you know how we have been chosen, have been accepted, you know, and um how we have been sanctified and we have been made holy in Christ Jesus, how we now are a new creation, a new man, you know, and then um you know I went uh to uh saying what God is saying in these last two episodes. And basically I have shared on you know how we should say what God is saying and we should not say what God is not saying. And if we say what God is not saying, then we should repent from that and immediately speak what God is speaking over that situation to counter that. And so uh I took the examples from as from Moses when he appeared to uh when God appeared to him in a fiery bush and said who he was and what he was gonna going to do through his hands. And Moses said, But I am not, I am not uh eloquent, I am slow of speech. And God, you know, became upset with him. He says, Listen, I have made man's mouth, and I'm gonna put my words in your mouth, and you're gonna say what I'm saying. You're not gonna say what you what you are saying, you're gonna say what I'm saying. Same story happened in Jeremiah when he appointed him as a prophet. He said, I have sanctified you, and I have, you know, I knew you in the in your womb, in the womb, not your womb, in the womb of your mother, you know, and I've sanctified you and I've appointed you as a prophet. And then he says, But I am not eloquent, I am but a child. And God says, Don't say, I am but a child. Say what I am saying. I'm gonna, uh you are gonna speak what I am gonna command you to speak. You're gonna speak my words. And these are instructions that God gave to us that we should speak his words. We should speak what God is speaking, we should say what God is saying. And even though we sometimes don't say what God is saying, we should just repent from that and just speak what God is speaking, you know, without condemnation or anything like that, but just because you know you have what you say. There is power in our words if we put faith in that what we say, and if we put faith in what the doctor says and speak then, then we will have what the doctor says. But if we speak what God says and have faith in what God is saying, and we speak that in faith, then we will have what God says that we have. That's why I always proclaim that I am who God says that I am, I have what God says that I am, and I can do what God says that I can do because he is not a man that he should lie. And so I believe God. And even though sometimes I say things that are not in line with the word of God, and I immediately, you know, realize, no, this is not from God, this is my carnal man or whatever, unbelief or doubt. And I counter that then immediately with the with the word of God. And so then basically, in these two previous episodes, you know, um, I was sharing a lot on that we need to say what God is saying, and I also took some personal testimonies in that. And then I came to the point where we should say what God is saying about us uh to other people, and you know, and we should confess that all the time. And I took something that I know that a lot of people, you know, were like, What? You can't say that, you know, like that I said that I am a God, and that shocks people immediately when you say that, but you have to understand the context in which I am saying it, because Jesus, he also said, you know, uh, I am the Son of God, and so he made him to be equal with God, because he said before Abraham was I am, and they immediately knew that he reverted to when Moses, when God appeared to Moses, where he said, I am, that I am, has sent you. You know, and so they knew that he would make he was making himself God. Now he was making himself God Almighty because that's who he is. You know, I'm not making myself God Almighty, he is my father, I am his son, amen. And so the context is that whatever you sow is what you reap. So if I am now born of God, that makes me automatically a God, but not a you know, um almighty, you know, creator of heaven and earth, God, but a son of God, amen. So with a little g. And so Jesus said in uh John 10 34, he says, Is it not written in your law, I said you are gods? So God Himself says in Psalm 82, verse 6, he says, You are gods. And so if God says that I am a God, then I am a God. And he says, If he called them gods to whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken, do you say of him who the Father sanctified and sent into the world, you are blaspheming because I said, I am the Son of God? Jesus was saying, you know, what he said in their law. If that already was saying to people that were people and not, you know, to Jesus, you know, the Christ, you know, then how much more, you know, uh if he said it. So the point I wanted to make is that God calls us gods, and I am born of God, and therefore I can say that I'm a God. And let me continue in this teaching. Father God, thank you so much for your word. I pray it's gonna be a blessing to those who hear. I give you all the glory in Jesus' name. Amen. I'm sorry. And so now you can say that you are a son of God, and therefore you are a God. Then I want to look at what that really means because it is not for you to say and everywhere to call out, you know, I am a God, I am a God, I am a God. I mean, if you're gonna start doing that, people will lock you up, you know, they will think you are crazy, that you are mental if you say that. You have to understand the context. And the context is that you understand what your identity is, that you understand who you are in Christ. In Christ, you have become so much more than just a saved sinner. I'm sorry, you have become so much more than just I was darkness, but now I am in the light. I was lost, but now I am found. You have become so much more, and I want to look at that, and then when we understand that, that we also start to speak it. And so it's not, you know, for you to go around, you know, saying to everybody, I am a God, I am a God. No, it's for you to understand that you know who you are, that you understand your identity, that you that you understand I am in this world, but I'm no longer of this world. You know, I am no longer just blood, flesh, and the will of man from blood, flesh, and the will of man. I am now born of God, I am a spiritual being, I am a temple of the Holy Spirit, I am now an inhabitant of the kingdom of God, I am now in Christ, and Christ is now within me. I have his very nature, I have his very spirit, I am as he says, that I am in this world. I am a God, but not the one that has created us. Amen. I am his son. And so you need to understand the context. It's not about the sentence that you can say that, it's to understand that you know who you are and what you may do. Now, let's turn with me to Ephesians 5. Man, I know that there are people you know just cut these things out and then use them online and you know, ridiculize you, but that's okay. Go and you do what you want to do. Amen. So Ephesians 5 verse 1, it says, Therefore be imitators of God as their children. And so, and walk in love as Christ also has loved us and given himself for us as an offering and a sacrifice to God, to God for his sweet smelling aroma. I'm sorry. Man, I've got this thing attacking me in my throat. Out in the name of Jesus, amen. And so in the Amplified, it says it's like this it says, Therefore, because you are a son, because you are born of God, there is therefore, therefore, therefore, be imitators of God, copy him, and follow his example, as well, beloved children imitate their father. Man, this is a mouthful, and you really gotta understand what this is saying. Because you now are born of God, because you are now a son of God, because you now have his very nature, because you now have his very spirit, because you are now in him and he is in you, because this is all true, therefore, be imitators, copy him, and follow his example as well, beloved children. Imitate their father. Copy them, copy him. So I don't know, you know, are there people among us, you know, that are listening that wanted to imitate their father? Man, my father was not a really good example, but I really wanted to imitate him. You know, I remember stepping into his shoes, putting on his jacket, acting like he was acting, you know, saying what he was saying, doing what he was doing, you know, and and they encouraged me to do that also, you know, and so my father was not a good example because he was not a very great guy in the things that he did, and I copied the wrong things, but still I wanted to copy my father, I wanted to be like him, I wanted to walk like him, talk like him. There is this, there is this, you know, um how you say that cartoon movie called Jungle Book, very old, and um, and there is this song in his I want to talk like him, walk like him, you know, and that song always kept with me, you know. But just want to you want to imitate, you want to copy your father, and so here it says that be imitators of God, copy him and follow his example as well, beloved children imitate their father. And so God wants us to follow him, to copy him, follow his example, and imitate him. Why? Because we can. We can imitate God, we can walk like God, we can talk like God, we can act like God, we can think like God, we can be like God, because as he is, so are we in this world. John 4 17. And so God is not a man that he should lie. I can imitate him and I can walk and do exactly as he is. You know, and then also let's like if I take a little bridge, we call Jesus our rabbi, we call him our master, our teacher, and I've teached on that also. But you know, when when in the I don't know if that still is like today, but you know, in the history, you know, when a rabbi said to uh his student, to his disciple, follow me, you know, he was saying, I want you to copy me, I want you to learn from me, I want you to do exactly what I'm doing, I want you to follow my example, I want you to walk in the dust of my feet and copy exactly what I am doing. Walk like I walk, talk like I walk, act like I act, say what I say, do what I do, be like me. That's when he said, follow me, and Jesus says, follow me. Follow me. And so we need to follow Jesus, and then by following Jesus, we are following the Father, because Jesus says, Me and the Father, we are one. And so I'm following the Father when I'm following Jesus, and when I follow his example, and then he says that I need to be an imitator of him, and I need to copy him as well, beloved children imitate and copy their fathers. And so this is amazing. So don't say that you can't do that. Don't say that you are not eloquent, that you are not able, that you that you can't, that you that it's that it's not for you. Don't say that if God says that you can, because you are his son, because you are a God. Small g. You can walk exactly like him and act exactly like him in this world. Because that's what he says. Man, that's powerful stuff. He encourages me. And so, now who is God? Who is God? It's a great question, you know. God is the creator of the heavens and the earth, he is the beginning and the end, he's the Alpha and the Omega, He is the He who is and was and is to come, He is the unchangeable changer, He is our provider, our healer, He is our Savior, He is our source, you know, He is our God, and He is our Father. You know, God is the great I am. Amen. And so in John 1, it says in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. This was in the beginning with God. And so when I look at God, then I look at the Word. Because Jesus says, if you have seen me, you have seen the Father. Jesus says, I am the word, because his name is called the Word of God. So if I'm looking at the Word, I am seeing my Father, I am seeing God. So if I understand the Word, then I understand God. That is beautiful. And when I speak the Word, I imitate God, I copy God. If I speak what He is speaking, I am imitating Him, and I am copying Him, and I'm saying what He is saying, so I'm following His example. Amen. That's beautiful, man. And He gives me His words into my mouth because He says that I need to speak His words, and so when I do that, I am imitating Him. So instead of saying what the world is saying, like, I am not, I cannot, I have not, I am depressive, I am sick, I am addicted, I am not good enough, I am poor, I am afraid, I am weak, I am miserable. Don't say that. You need to speak His words, because if someone speaks, then speak the words, you know, of God. Like if someone speaks, then as the oracle of God is what Peter says. And so I am the healed of the Lord, I am more than a victor, I am blessed, I am favored, I am prosperous, I am not afraid, I am loved, I've I'm bought, I am his. You know, I am a son of God, and I need to see and I need to speak what God says instead of speaking what the world says. Now God he revealed himself to us in the flesh, 1 Timothy 3.16. And then Jesus says in John 14, verse 9, you know, he who has seen me has seen the Father. And so Christ is the word, the word is God, and the word became flesh, right? John 1.14. So Christ is God, Christ is the word that became flesh. Now, how did we become children of the living God? Let's go to 1 Peter 1.23. 1 Peter 1.23. It says, having been born again, not of a corruptible seed, but of an incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever. Man, listen, I have been born again, not from a corruptible seed, from Adam, born from the blood flesh of the will of man, but I am now born of God by this incorruptible seed, which is the word of God. So I am born by the word of God. The word of God has become flesh in me. God, the word of God, Christ, has become flesh in me. Galatians 2.20 says that I have been crucified with Christ. It's no longer I who live, but it is Christ who now lives within me. And so the word of God now lives within me. It is the word of God that made me a new creation. It is the word of God that made me born again. It is the word of God that made me a new man, that gave me a new nature, that made me a temple of the Holy Spirit. It is the word of God within me that became flesh and manifested itself because now I am what God says I am. And I can do what God says that I can do. And so I can say now what Jesus says in John 49, he who has seen me has seen the Father. I can now say, He who has seen me has seen Christ. He who has seen me has seen Christ, because I no longer live, but it's Christ who lives within me. Now maybe I sometimes show like uh you know something of the flesh and carnal thing, but that's not me. But if you have seen me, true me, the true me, you have seen Christ, because the word of God became flesh within me. And so maybe I'm not always behaving like the Son of God, but that doesn't mean that I am not that I am not the Son of God. I am who God says that I am, and that's the only thing that I need to speak. So, you know, um be my copies and imitate me. So if we have been created after his likeness, if we have created into true righteousness and holiness, you know, and we have been created in the image of God, you know, then we should act like that, we should talk like that, we should walk like it, like that, and we should be like that in our lives. Because we need to be followers, we need to be copies, we need to imitate our father, as well, beloved children imitate their fathers, Ephesians 5.1. And so stop saying what God is not saying, start saying what God is saying, and you will see that your life will become that what God says that you are. You know, um, let me rephrase that. You will see manifest in your life what God has already bestowed upon you and has given you and imputed to your account who you already are in your spirit, you then will see become manifest in your life if you start to speak what God speaks, and you will see circumstances changing, you will see uh things in your life change, you know, um if we speak the word that God speaks instead of you know all the other things that God is not saying. And so before you can say I am sick, he is he says, I am Jehovah Rafa, your healer. Before you can say I am poor, he says, I am Jehovah Jarbah, your provider. So before you can say I am lost, he says, I am the good shepherd, you nobody snatched you out of my hand. And so before you can say I am but a child, I am weak, you know, don't let the weak let the weak say I am strong because the Lord is my strength. He who is in me is greater than he who is in the world, and I'm more than an overcomer because he who is in me. If God is for me, then who can send against? I should talk what God says, I should say what God says. Don't make a liar, you know, from God. You know, counter your lies with his truth and don't counter his truth with your lies. Don't say what God is not saying. Man, I'm telling you. And you don't only speak those things when everything goes well in your life, you need to speak more so those things that God says when things are not going well in your life, when you have challenges, when you stand with the back against the wall or whatsoever. Man, I've been in financial challenges, and instead of saying what I don't have and what I don't see and what is not going well, and how I'm gonna get out of this, even though maybe I have the the intention, not the intention, I have the the the uh the urge to say it because you know this is my circumstances, and you have the urge to say it, then you need to swallow those words again and then speak what God says. He is my provider, I shall not lack because the Lord is my shepherd, he is building the house, so he'll give me the building materials. I have no shortage because there's no money on my bank account. I have no shortage because God is my source, I am rich because he became poor, I am prosperous, I am blessed, I am favored, I am induced with grace because my father says that I am, and he can't lie. And so I am who he says that I am, and I have what he says that I have. And so we need to speak that. We have his DNA. Now, everything that we say, you know, after I am will show what you believe. I am cannot go together with negative uh proclamations. I am not, I am, I am this, I am that, which is not in line with the word of God. Don't do that. But if I am is followed by what God says, then you will have what you say that you have, and you will be what you say that you are, because you believe God and you speak His word. So, whatever comes after I am shows whether you're gonna believe what God says about you or whether you are believing what the world says about you. And so don't bring misfortune over your life by saying the things that God is not saying. Keep a watch before His uh keep a watch before your lips, uh, you know, and keep God over your mouth and speak only the words that God is speaking. Amen. Man, I have been sharing a lot and a lot for you to think on, study on, you know, and go to all those Bible verses, but the importance is that you only say what God says. And if you see that you are not saying what God is saying, then repent from that and start saying what God is saying. Don't say what the doctor says if it's not in line with the word of God. Don't say what the bank account says if it's not in line with the word of God. Don't say what circumstances say, what the government says, what the news says, you know, what your mind says if it's not in line with the word of God. Don't say it. Don't worry and say and don't speak things that are not in line with the word of God, you know, but say that what God says, that you are in Christ. Now I want to do a short proclamation with you, and then I'll close this down before we go to a new episode of the In Christ series. Um, if you truly believe that you are what God says that you are, and that you have what God says that you have, and that you can do what God says that you can do, if you truly believe that, then say after me, repeat after me this proclamation, and then study that so you start to get uh acquainted with saying all those things. Say, I am sorry, I am predestined, I am chosen, I am adopted, I am accepted, I am born again, I am forgiven, I am saved, I am healed, I am delivered, I am a new creation, I am a new man, I am a new spirit, I am the word that became flesh, I am righteous, I am holy, I am blameless, I am sanctified, I am glorified, I am protected, I am anointed, I am appointed, I am called, I am sent, I am the light of the world, I am the salt of the earth, I am prosperous, I am rich, I am blessed, I am favored, I am a conqueror, I am able, I am an eternal being, I am ruler over the flesh, I am ruler over sin, I am ruler over Satan, I am a soldier of the kingdom of God, I am a member of the body, I am no longer afraid, I am no longer worried, I am no longer alone, I am no longer a slave, I am no longer bound, I am dead to the law, I am no longer of this world, I am seated in heavenly places, I am hidden in Christ, I am crafted in the olive tree, I am a branch that bears fruit. I am as he is in this world, I am a temple of the Holy Spirit, I am a brother of Jesus, I am a dwelling place of Christ, I am in the image of my Father, I am a citizen of the kingdom of God, I am a priest, I am a man of God, I am a heir of the kingdom, I am a royalty, I am a king, I am a son of God, I am a God, little G. I am not to boast in what I am. I am because God says that I am, and God can't lie, and I should only confess what God says, what my father says. Amen. Well, man, if you believe that, shout a hallelujah and amen. That was amazing. And I hope to see you in a new episode of One Gospel. God bless you. Bye bye.
