Hello, Poors. Let's start the show. Hi, welcome to another episode of Pouring and Parenting. I'm Syl and I'm Anish. And today we are going to be discussing why things around the house are wet. And what about that five-second rule? Is it a lie? Are we just telling that to ourselves? But before we do that, let's go ahead and get into our drinks. So, Einish, what did you pour into your glass today? I cracked open a white claw. Very last minute decision. Not even cold. So I threw some ice in my cup. And I'm having a claw on the rock. Blackberry, to be exact, I think. Wait. You're drinking a claw with ice? Yes. It was and I cracked open the box. And uh, like I said, very last minute drink choice. And that's that's it. Claw on the rock. Okay, all right. I like it. What about you? I poured into my mug today a lemon ginger tea. So it is non-alcoholic for today. But I I need it. I kind of have a headache, alcohol didn't sound good to me. So I was like, you know what? What can I drink? I'm like, yeah, it's some tea. You cannot go wrong with tea. Only thing is that it's a little hot. So it's not like the best. I could I guess I could have put ice, whatever. It is what it is. I got my tea. But it's funny. So I had a beer this weekend, actually. And I have not had a beer in a really, really long time. But it was offered to me just the circumstances we were in. I was like, okay, sure. Like I needed a drink. And it was so frothy cold. It was just so cold. And I was like, okay, I mean, I haven't done this in a while, but it it was good. And so my husband and I were talking with one of our cousins that we haven't seen in a while. And it came up like that. I don't really drink beer. And he's like, Well, what do you drink? And I was like, Well, typically, you know, I'll drink a claw. You know, they're kind of girly. And he's like, Oh my god, those are my favorite. But he like said it like almost simultaneously, as I said, they were girly, and I was like, for everybody. But he was bragging about or just hyping up white claws and how much, you know, he was like almost addicted to them because they're so good and it just hits the spot. And I'm like, Yeah, me too. I love them. And he's like, My favorite is a mango. And I'm like, Yeah. So, you know what? You would be the perfect person to share that variety pack with because you would have them all. We would not fight over them in customs. Never. And it was just so funny. I'm like, just to have that conversation, like I have not had a claw in a while. They didn't have claws where we were at. So I I drank I drank the beer. I did it. Did it. Yeah. You know, it's definitely an acquired taste. Like, I I'm just like, well, how did I start drinking beer? In the first place, that's the first stuff I used to drink is beer. And I don't I'm like, wow. I mean, bud lights, like nobody's business. Wait, Bud Light? Yeah, bud light, and then ultras, and then Micheladas came into the mix. Oh yeah. I can it's been a long time since I've had one, but that at this point, and I feel for the rest of my life that'll be the only way that I can actually drink a beer, is if it's doused in a Michelada. Yeah. No, I I get it. It's such an acquired taste. And I'm like, how did I do this before? I drank it. It was good. It was cold. Well, cheers to that. Cheers to my fake beer and to your hot hot tea. Cheers. Cheers. Yes. Okay, let's go ahead and move into our first trend. So a while back we had an episode with Dr. Tina. And Anish, I believe you brought up the beige baby. Yes. Now the new trend is an anti-sad baby and rejecting Pinterest perfection. So it's very similar to what we talked about before. Um, but I bring it up because I'm happy that this is still happening. So basically, millions of modern moms are experiencing an aesthetic fatigue. Okay, so it started from a viral TikTok joke by a creator, Haley DeRoche, who was poking fun at monochromatic, upscale children's lifestyles. It's turned into a massive shift away from unpainted wooden blocks, millennial gray, and patternless clothing. Parents are actively rejecting the pressure to make their homes look like minimalist art galleries and are opting back into chaotic, colorful, real life messiness. Yeah. And I I'm glad that this is still a thing. I'm glad that people are still moving away from that beige aesthetic, that very plain aesthetic. And actually, not that long ago, I saw a post and I can't remember exactly what it was about, but it was basically comparing maybe like the 1970s to now, where if you look at people's houses, they were like different colors, cars were different colors. And I'm picturing Edward Scissor Hands, that neighborhood where there's yellow and pink and blue and green, all these different color houses. Uh, now when you go, especially if you're buying a new home, it's typically a beige, a very like a cream gray, but no one's buying a pink house anymore or a blue house. You know, that light baby blue, kind of like the color of my shirt. When we moved into our house, our house was a mint color, mint, and it was pretty bad. It's not that cookie cutter style that you would see. It still has some color, but it's definitely not mint green. But even like the cars, a lot of cars you see darker colors, the blacks, the charcoal grays, or white. Very, I mean, you still see some dark red colors, but you don't see those like lighter colors that you used to. The like the light reds or the light blues or the yellows, or you know, my car is like this. Your car is like this. It is, right? But it's but it stands out, right? Because it's not not a color that you see so often. So I'm glad that people are starting to be like, you know what? This is boring. Like, life needs color. And I I blame the Kardashians, especially Kim. So I remember I I did use to watch Keeping Up with the Kardashians, not faithfully, but I remember there was an episode where her and Kanye had had this house built and it looked like an upscale prison. Like, I I don't know how else to describe it. Like hospitals have more color than that house did. It was just so there was nothing. It was like weird architecture, but it was all like a cream color. There was nothing. I think the floors matched the the walls and the ceilings, and you know, and people, of course, they follow what they see on social media, especially when it comes to the Kardashians. And I think this is where it came from. They're so minimalist, but to a point where it's lifeless. And there's a difference, I think, from being a minimalist and having no type of life being shown, no color, no pizzazz, no no nothing. Yeah. So I really do appreciate that because we even talked about it in the episode about um kids going back to school. And like their folders are so plain. Uh their pencil pouches are like pastel colors, you know, it's just so minimal. And it's like, bring back the Lisa Frank. Yes. Okay, you know, or it's something close to something. But you know, our kids see this and they're trying to keep up with the Kardashian to keep up with the Joneses and who whoever. And it life is just so boring. So the fact that parents are starting to reject this aesthetic, it just makes my heart happy. Yes, yes, yes, yes. I definitely, it's funny. The handful of states that we've moved to, that's one of the things that I've noticed. It's just the different way that these states are approaching color and the way the homes look and embracing different cultures too. The colors are definitely a lot more muted. Now, the one state we lived in, there it was a very vibrant town that we lived in. So they definitely embraced color downtown and even throughout the neighborhoods for the most part. But definitely we're all we're all getting really close to that futuristic gray. You have uh what's his face in his car with that truck? What's that called? The cyber truck. The cyber truck, and and you know, every other society is pushing forward to everyone looking the same and doing the same thing, and who knows where our kids' kids will be in the world, like what will the world look like since we've steered clear out of all the the colorful homes, like you said, and Edward Scissor Hams and and all of those all of those fun movies where Pleasantville and you know all that stuff. So yeah, crazy. Crazy, crazy, crazy. But yeah, make your home look like a you have kids there. Don't no need to like who are you trying to impress? And that's what we talked about on the episode is what why do you have to hide the toys? Why does it have to be that one color, those two solid colors and so muted? Embrace the color for your kids' sake. Yeah, like does that make you happy? Because I feel like I mean, it just does something to your brain when things are just so plain, so just colorless. Yeah, it it does something to your depressing, just like when it's overcast or raining for so many days, eventually. I mean, there's studies have shown that people become depressed. So, how happy are you really when your space is so plain and muted and boring? Something to think about, I guess. And our last trend is real life village and parent confessional audio. So, a lot of times when we are scrolling on social media, typically what you see is positive, just very organized, possibly most likely scripted versions of how people live. Okay, oh, the kids are great, the homework gets done, they're so smart, they're athletic, they do all this stuff, blah, blah, blah. Life is great. They talk up their life. Um, I know what you're trying to say. Like they just make their life seem something that it's not. Like it's so perfect when really, in reality, you know, you're gonna just yelling, yeah, they're having up their life when we all know, especially if you know them personally, that's not how your life is. Okay, so people are turning into that de-influencing space where creators stop trying to optimize every aspect of childhood. And they they're moving towards trends where parents are really admitting to the real life of having toddlers, of having babies, of having teens. You know, not everything's perfect. I'm tired. Okay. I'm tired of or admitting to just I'm just trying to survive right now. I'm in survival mode. It's been a lot. The kids have been home all summer. I am surviving these last couple days before they go back to school. Or, you know what, Christmas is probably not gonna look the same this year for reasons A, B, or C. And not those, oh, Christmas is around the corner. I'm buying all this stuff for my kids and blah, blah, blah, blah. Like, like, no, people don't want to hear all that. And not that people want to go and hear negative things, but they want to hear real things. They want to hear real life stories because we know that not everything is just rainbows and butterflies. There's a lot that goes on that people just don't show, and it just gives a false narrative. A false narrative, thank you, of what life is really like. Yes. Definitely a lot of influencers I've noticed doing that. Now there is a fine line with that as people might overshare. And the crazy thing is that there's a lot of there's so much content out there that Netflix has been able to pick up and put together shows where the parents that are showing the perfect family, everyone's peachy keen, a lot of these parents and are going to jail because they're truly what's happening behind closed doors that they're actually neglecting their kids. They're not feeding their kids, they're forcing their kids to be in front of the camera. And it really it's sad and it makes you really, truly wonder who are you really supporting? Who are you really following? And and like you said, so we all know that's that's a fantasy world. There's no there is no perfect life. Even the most pristine, perfect person is gonna have some bad days, and their kids are gonna, I'm two, and this is how I act. And so I've definitely seen a lot more content creators, influencers being more real and showing the breakdowns or the or the meltdowns, which I I don't want to see your kid crying on camera before you turn the camera off. And I usually I'll scroll past, but if they maybe won't edit a part out if their kid interrupts them while they're talking, and instead of editing it, they're just hey, this is what happens when I'm trying to work and my kid wants me to stop what I'm doing to see them jump from the couch to the floor. Look what I can do. And so I I think it's a it's good and bad because of the people that that feel they have to be perfect on camera, more of the celebrity types that rarely take their kids out. They have an image to protect. So having that that middle ground, if you are watching to get influenced or looking for guidance, or whatever your reason is to be on social media, knowing that there could be a fine medium. You're not alone, your kid's not the only one that has tipper tantrums, or they fight their sleep. So having that balance is it's good. Okay. All right, let's go ahead and move into our first segment. It is unsolved toddler mysteries. So Anisha and I both have toddlers at the moment. We've had toddlers before. So this is our second round at the toddler age. There's some crazy stuff that goes down with these toddlers. Like you could turn your back for a second and it's just like, what happened? Like, there's not a day that goes by that something doesn't shock me, whether it be my three-year-old or my nine-year-old. So the first part is why is it wet? investigation. So basically, there's our toddlers, they're notorious for just having random wet spots around the house. And it's like, shoot, what the heck is this wet spot? Is it water? Is it juice? Did your diaper leak? And how do you figure out what it is? Aynish. Tell me about a time. I've been here before with my current toddler, and it happened more than two times. So somewhere between the three and five mark. But he'll get out of the tub and he'll have his towel on and he'll go to the room so I can get his lotion and everything together, and then I'll step on a wet spot on the carpet. And I'm like, okay, is did we did we not dry you off well enough? Is are these little footsteps that I'm stepping in? And the first time, I don't I can't honestly remember what his response was, but then ultimately, I'm Did you pee on the floor? And he'll he's nodding his head yes and smiling. And I'm like, oh my gosh, why? Like I was getting your diaper or the pot's right here. So he's done that. Oh, you could have peed in the shower. Or you could have peed in the shower. He waited and I took you out and peed on the carpet. So he did that. Gosh, like I said, it was it was less than five times, and then he finally stopped doing it, but and he would wait. It was never like it wasn't back to back. It'd be a you know a week or two in between, and he'd pee on the floor. And then the second time I was more aware of the the feeling, and it was warm. Oh crap, you peed on the floor. Like, and and then the fact that I would always step in it was I think more annoying to me. I don't even think I was that irritated that he was doing it, but why am I stepping in it? Like, why am I following your exact tracks? So that's the closest or the newest thing about why is this wet? It's because my toddler was paying on you working the stare at work, cleaning on the floor. Yes, what about you? You have any fun stories? I I see. So I wanna say maybe I think it was the first time that we took Benny to the beach where he was actually able to walk around. Um, I had got him 100% ready for the beach. When we were walking on the pier, I was holding him. And all of a sudden, my leg is just really warm. I just feel water dripping. I'm like, what the heck? Like, there's no way. Like, I just put a diaper on you. So then I'm thinking maybe he's filled his water. I'm like, did he throw up? Is he drooling on me? What the heck is happening? And it's just non-stop. So then I'm like, okay, maybe his water is spilling. I'm like, it's it's definitely warm. But I was dumbfounded, like, wait a minute, I just put a diaper on you. Yeah. Well, new parent stuff. I didn't re I didn't think, I didn't put it together that the swimming pull-ups don't hold the water, they don't hold the liquid. It's mainly for when they go number two. And it it took me a good minute to realize that it really was pea dripping from my hip to my leg. Okay, I was holding it. I was holding it, and I'm like, oh my gosh. And the worst thing is that so we were on the pier, but there was like a little restaurant at the end, and we had just walked in and there was like a little trickle, and it was in my sandals, and it was it was freaking everywhere. Like, why did he pee so much? Right? That's what I was about to say. Jesus. Yeah, he waited until I put his diaper on. He's like, I did not know. Yeah, and it was it was awful. And then I have my daughter. She started a trend a while ago to where she would drink her water, but then she would just slowly let it out of her mouth. And the the couch was wet. It looked like she had peed, but I'm like, there's no way. And so I like I touched it. And it was like a dark spot. I'm like, what the heck? checked her diaper. Her diaper was dry. I'm like, what is happening? And I look at her and I just see the water coming down her leg. It's just and the thing is that she she fills up her own water, so she'll fill it up all the way to the top. I looked at her water bottle, like, okay, it wasn't leaking. No, she was leaking out of her mouth. Like, come on. But you know, I mean, at first I was feeling like, does she pee? So I'm touching her and then I'm I'm smelling my hands, and I'm like, Am I smelling pee? She drinks so much water that sometimes her pee doesn't smell like anything. So I'm just like, is it? And I'm like putting my nose towards the couch. And no, it's her just letting it leak out the side of her mouth. Why? Like, why do you just experiment with this weird stuff? I don't you know, she thought it was funny. Like you're not bothered that you just had your No, that's what I was thinking. Like stuff all over you. Like I had to change her dress, I had to change her diaper. It was just change everything, dry off the couch. Like my goodness. Sounds about right. These littles, these littles. I got stories for days, so that's hilarious. So let's move on to another mystery. So, what about finding things in the most bizarre places? So, were there household items, toys? Have you found anything in like the weirdest spots? In the weirdest spots. So I'd say my firstborn was a master magician. And my second one, not so much. He's pretty, he's pretty laid back and chilled. They'd have the different battles. But the oldest one, we visited my mother, my parents, I should say, very frequently. And we were there for the weekend, I presume, and I couldn't find his water cup. And I'm asking my parents, I has anyone seen this cup? I'm asking him, hey, where's your cup at? And he's just looking at me, living his life. And I find another cup, give him his water cup. I'd say the next day, I was sitting on the couch, still at my parents' house, and he's walking around, just living his best life. And he, but he's walking with authority. He has somewhere to be. And I'm looking at him like, where is he going? Very, very intensely. Didn't even acknowledge me almost. My dad was in the space as well, and he walks right by us, marching into a separate room in my parents' house, a guest room. They have the TV on it, but it's like this oversized piece of furniture, and they have plants and different things on there. And it has cabinets. He opens up a cabinet, he sits on the floor and pulls out his water cup. And I'm watching him, he drinks from the cup and he puts it back in there, closes it, and walks away. And I'm like, are you kidding me? Like, like, how old is that water? When did the cup go missing? And you knew where your cup was at the whole time. And so from that point on, we figured out one that was a hiding spot for him and just a bunch of other things. We we had to start checking the trash can because he would throw things away. I think almost every child goes through that phase of throwing stuff in the trash. And so we always checked the trash to make sure that we didn't find the remote in there again. Whatever. I remember my dad followed him because he couldn't find his AirPods. And he followed him around the house. Like I'm gonna find your hiding spot. And he found him. He found the AirPods. So my my oldest was definitely known for I guess those weren't really weird spaces, but they're they just weren't places that we would look. You typically Look under the couch, you look in between the couch cushions and under things, but I didn't think to look to open up a cabinet in the guest room under the TV in a nice well-hidden spot. So what about you? Any fun hiding spots? We're living with our parents, and Benny somehow got my mom's car keys, and we could not find them for a couple weeks. We could not find her keys. Luckily, she had a spare, but I think maybe her work keys were on there as well. So she didn't deal with work for a while. And I mean, so one thing about me is that I wait until I have a month's load of laundry of my own to do it. So he must have got to my hamper or my laundry basket when it was empty, which is rare. But he put her car keys in my hamper, and I didn't see them until weeks later when we get to laundry. And it's like, really? Like, why there? Like, why would you put her keys in there? And we asked him, and you know, he was probably like three, like two or three years old at the time. But he knew he knew what he was doing. Like, oh they always but something I always wonder is so I've had to clean under my son's bed many times, and he has a queen size bed. And I always wonder how things get all the way to the other side of the like the end of the bed, and they don't roll. It's a non-rolling object. So it's like, did you physically go down there and like put this sticker all the way at the back of your bed? Or like this Lego piece, or like the Nerf gun you were looking for. Like, how did it get all the way to the opposite end against the wall? Yeah. His bed is against the wall and like the frame is there. So it has to be something very small to get through. But even then, in the oddest spot under the bed where it's like, how did you get here? And I always find rappers. Rapper one, he's only supposed to be eating his run, so clearly he doesn't listen to my directions. But how do the rappers make it like to the middle of the bed, like underneath the bed? And it's a bunch, it's a lot. These little kids are little magicians, and as quick as they do something is as quick as they forget, losing the remote control, or or maybe shoving those little pieces of paper so you don't find them. And then they make their way down there. One last thing I remember is Benny used to put money in my shoes. He would put coins in my shoe. I don't know if that was for good luck or what. I need I know you need some extra money, but he would put them in my shoes. I put my shoe on. I'm like, what the heck? And he would just randomly tip me in my shoe. Like, what? I remember you saying that. I feel like I remember you talking about it was definitely a while ago, but I was just like, why is this your thing?

SPEAKER_00You can just put it in my purse. Yeah. You can put it in my purse. That's okay. Yes. That's so funny. I love it. Kids are funny, man. Definitely they will keep you on your toes. Kids, they just do the most random things. We went to the front yard. They followed me to the front yard. I went to check one thing for like five seconds. And before I knew, they were both outside with me. I'm like, oh it's going to take you longer to get into the house than I was even out there in the first place. Whatever. So the kids walk back inside and Perseus comes in first and she's acting like a monkey. Oh just coming in like, okay. Then the boy comes in and he's hip thrusting.

SPEAKER_00And I'm just like, what the heck is wrong with you guys? Like, you're both doing totally different random things. Like you're outside for 10 seconds, max and you came in being weird. Like, what? I don't like they're just they're funny kids. I just don't get it. Like, yeah, how does this come to your mind? I don't know. All right, let's go ahead and get into our sing to me game. How much was she worth? Champion is Pipasha. Don't even know what you're worth. You're a time plus 99, and it's a shame. You are on it today. Dang it. You know what? These were two of these. I think that's a first for me though, to get them both. Like, calm down. I think so too. This energy, please. I think that's a first thing. Even if I even though I worded it weirdly, oddly, you got it. That's great. Yeah. Yeah, I think I really think that's a first to get both of them. Yeah, sadly, I agree. Dang it. Yay, yay. Okay. After I read it, I was like, oh, it's kind of a hard question, I guess. If you can't get to that point, but you did good. Yay, you. Yay! Oh, I'm not a total loser. All right, pors. Moving on to the final segment. The evolution of the five-second rule. Anish, do you know what the five-second rule is? Yes, you drop it, you start the countdown, begins. Pick it up. No dirt doesn't hurt after or before five seconds. It's it's good to go. God made dirt and dirt don't hurt. Exactly. If anyone says that anymore, God made dirt and dirt don't hurt. And that's what a few seconds of saying that, you say it, you get your food, or vice versa, and you eat it. Okay, but but when we first became mommies, okay, did that rule apply to your child? Let's just say if the pacifier fell on the floor, do you have five seconds and stuff it back in the mouth? No, I'm wiping it. I have to get hot water. It's a quick disinfecting. I have to do something to clean that bad boy off. Absolutely. No, no. Second kid. Please, that guy ain't. I I maybe start whatever. Go for it, too. Is typically how the that whole moment, that interaction. All right. It's yours. And it's like, I really wasn't gonna stop you. I'm glad you did. I used to slap stuff out of the other one's hands. It's like slow-mo.
SPEAKER_01Damn, dude.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but this other one. It's fine. He's fine. What is it? It strengthens their immune system. That's what I would say. I believe it. Yeah. I do. Yes. You know, and it's funny because when we first become parents, we're so obsessed with everything we need to be clean, and we don't want them to get sick, and there's germs everywhere, and we're just so over the top. And I know I was, I know moms who were were still are, and it's like now that I'm a mom of two, when I see moms of just one, I'm like, wait until you get a second one. You're not gonna do the things the same way. Like, but it it's just like that rite of passage. You want to tell them they're gonna be fine, but regardless, they're gonna do what they want. And yes, and you know, when the second comes kid comes, you just don't really care right now. I'd learned that I had to catch myself with a parent or uh someone that I know that was wanting to have kids and they were shopping for really expensive items, clothing specifically, and just over-the-top price, baby clothes at that. And I caught myself, or maybe she called me out on it, but I'm like, girl, they're gonna grow out of that in three weeks, about two to five business days. And you want to spend $80 on a pair of sweatpants that they're gonna grow out of in two to five business days. And I can tell that she was probably getting irritated with me. And then I'm like, okay, like let me back up, let me pump my brakes, do what you want to do with your kid, that's your money. I'm not counting your cash. But we all know what it is. Like, I don't my second one, he's barely seen a new tag. I don't even wear your brother's stuff, it still looks good, you're good to go. Even though he's called us out on stuff, he'll be like, hey, that's not mine. Oh my god, you wasn't here, you don't know who this was. This is brand new to you. But I I've definitely would Joy saying you're seeing parents and they're oh my gosh, or don't touch my baby. And you see, I've known you've seen videos like that on social media. First kid versus baby number four, and you're just passing the kid on. Don't even worry about sanitizing your hand. Take a kid, any kid, pick a kid.

SPEAKER_00Mm-hmm. Yeah, exactly. I remember it was slightly different with Benny, also, just because he was only five pounds when he came home. He was a preemie, so I'd be very extra with him. But the amount of extra I was with him was like nearly not even as close as how unextra I was with my daughter. Just like take her. Yes. Take her. I need to sleep, take her, I need my rest. Like before I was like, no, it's okay, I got it. Yeah. No, I need to sleep. You're more than welcome. Okay, because people want to help and they want to be there. And you know, that first time around, you just want to do everything on your own. You don't need any help. I got this. This first time off, we we feel like we have something to prove. Like, well, I don't I can't approve anything. And usually the people that are wanting to help have multiple kids. It's not, it's not a new person with no kids that, oh, can I hold your baby? And you have that fear of like, do you care do you don't want to hold a baby? Like, I have friends with no kids, and that's the last thing she would ask me, quite frankly, is if she can hold the baby. I don't think she's ever asked that. And that's just because she doesn't feel comfortable holding your babies and nothing against my kids. And her and I've had this conversation before, but she's just not gonna offer. And I completely understand that. And so the parents that are out there that want to help are giving you this advice, unsolicited advice, because they want to help. But which is how I had to catch myself because I was giving unsolicited advice to my friend. But when it comes to holding and washing your hands and getting the Santa out, those are parents that it's not their first rodeo. And like you said, they are there to help you, and they they know you're gonna be in the trenches as soon as they walk out the door. So but yeah, that first mom syndrome is real for a lot. I have seen other mothers that they never experience that first mom syndrome. It's they have a baby and it's like their third or eighth, but it's their first. Yeah. I'm like, oh okay, okay, girl. Just real free spirit type energy. But I mean, those could be the moms too that maybe they have a bunch of nieces and nephews. It could be that too. It's like I help raise all these little critters, so I know what I'm doing type thing. Um, but then I think also sometimes moms, some moms just really are not built like that, and that's okay too. As long as your baby's taken care of. That's it. Or good. That's it. All right, next, the car seat caviar. Ugh. Okay. What is something that you have seen your kids eat in the car where you're just like, was that even food? Yeah, I'm gonna I don't care what kid you are, what number you are, I'ma smack some stuff out of your hand if it's been in the car seat. He's tried to pick up my old fry, and I'm driving, I'm looking back, and then I have to do the whole swap my hand. No, I don't need that. But Cheerios have been acceptable. And and then cleaning out the car seat, which I try to do pretty, pretty regularly. I'll try to clean that out and wash their the cushions in the car seats. And I'm finding some crazy. What what is that? I asked myself. The kids are little cookie monsters, so there's a lot of Oreo cookies and chocolate chip cookies. So just looking at the chocolate, and I'm like, like, what is this? Forgetting that. Yes, please be chocolate. Forgetting that they they're they would snack it on Oreos or chocolate chip cookies. Maybe I've instilled the fear. I've I don't say instilled it on them, but I've I've transferred that so they're asked before they they eat it or had to show me. Hey, what's this? And I'm sniping. No, I don't need that. How long has I been there? But so nothing scary outside of the French fry. The French fries, I didn't like that. But an old cookie, it just I didn't see it, I didn't see it. But that's what she decided to eat. What about do you have any scary stories about luckily? So the girl, she she's very particular about things. She gets disgusted very easily, unless she knows exactly what it is. So she loves to eat the granola. She loves granola. And I'll put in a cup for her, and she'll be walking around the house, and she'll drop granola all over the place. And before I know it, I see her later on and she's eating granola, and there'll be the granola on the couch. It's like, how long has that granola been there? Is that today's granola or yesterday's granola or last month's granola? Who knows? So, same thing with the car. Sometimes she'll take the granola in the car or she'll eat her cookies in the car, and it's on her car seat, so she knows it's hers. It came from her. Um, so I'll see her eat whatever stuff that's on her car seat, and I'm like, no, that's nasty. And if it's a dry food, I guess, whatever, you know, like the Cheerio. Um, but anything else that's not dry or she knows she does not know what it is, she will not even bother. She's like, ew, disgusting. Um, she's so girly at times. My son, I haven't seen it's probably been a while since I've seen him eat something from the car. He does do that five second rule though all the time. Like he's just he's a clumsy ear, so he drops a lot of food. Um and he's constantly just picking it up off the floor and eating it. Sometimes like it's a noodle, like a wet noodle.

SPEAKER_00Like it just got all the germs on the floor, you know. Like, and he's like, it's fine, it's fine. Five seconds, five seconds. I just I see my older son just eat something, a fruit loop off the floor the other day. And I'm like, really? We're already at home, like we were out and about. Oh no, like at a store? No, I mean it was his own, it was his fruit loop. It wasn't a random fruit loop. No, he was eating fruit loops. People, ladies and gentlemen, I'm not letting my kids eat other people's, you know, scraps. Yeah. It was his fruit, yeah, he dropped it and he noticed it, and I noticed it, and then I took it as quick as I turned around and turned back around, it was gone. And I'm like, okay, he ate it, luckily. But yes, it was his fruit loop, and I definitely missed his mouth and he ate it. So I thought he was beyond that, honestly. And I mean, because I'll confess there's times where I'll drop something and pick it up and eat it. Sometimes I do it and I'm like, oh crap, did I really like it's like a habit. So yeah, I've caught myself doing that. I mean, usually if it's something like, okay, not a big deal. But I'm at home, counting it. But there's other times where I'm like, Did I really do that? Like, what the fuck's wrong with me? Couldn't spare that one.

SPEAKER_00I just don't understand myself sometimes. But I'm like, okay, I guess I see where my kids get it from. I know. Like, don't call me. I know. I've dropped stuff. I'm really quick too if I pick it up, but at least for the kids, they're looking at me, they're in the baby hat, that's dirty. I'm like, oh, it's fine, eat it. He's like, I'm girl, you eat it. You eat it first and then I'll try it. Right? Yeah. Well, that's funny. It's a safe place here. It's a safe space. Yes, definitely safe. All right.
