Thank you for tuning in to Blossoms of My Life Radio. Today I have the honor and the privilege of interviewing Ashante Odom, better known as Lady Ambassador, and she's from Houston. Lady Ambassador, how are you today?

Praise God. I'm excited that we get to connect today. I know you were referred a few months ago, and it was like just exciting to just be able to finally get to talk to you.

Yes, I definitely agree. I'm excited.

Good. So we, you know, on Blossoms of My Life Radio, we like to just highlight all the many things that many different people are doing for the kingdom. And I know that you have a powerful testimony, and I know that you're doing some wonderful work there in Houston. And so I wanted to be able to give you this platform so that you could share with our audience what you're doing in Houston and around the world. I I I heard you say earlier in our conversation that you're doing things globally.

Yes. Yeah. Well, I I definitely want to uh first of all, thank you so much for not just allowing me, but allowing so many of us who are our goal and our mission is to impact nations for having this wonderful opportunity and platform. But yeah, I've been extremely blessed. I believe that God has called me as a global ambassador. And in the beginning, when he shared that with me, I wasn't really sure how that was gonna work because I was just like, God, you know, you can't really say things, you know, in the beginning when he when he shows it to you. But then as time went on and I was able to actually impact, you know, Honduras, Mexico, Puerto Rico, uh, Libya, Africa, all of these other countries. And then pretty much every single state in the United States, he's allowed me to impact. So stepping into that position of a of a global ambassador is really how I ended up with that name, lady ambassador. So yes, I definitely thank God for all of the wonderful opportunities that he puts me in position to be a blessing to those that I encounter.

Wow. And so when you go into these other countries and even these, you know, all of our states, you're going there with the mission of what exactly are you going there with? What is your ministry?

SPEAKER_02 2:45

Well, my ministry is I have, outside of being an artist, I do have a nonprofit that is dedicated to single moms. And we help them to break the code and to find balance. And that could be in any spectrum of what is bothering them, whether they, you know, they wanted to start a business and they don't know how to get it off the ground, or maybe they're in a financial deficit and they need the income to just kind of get over that hump. So honestly, I've been able to impact the lives of those both globally and from a nationwide status in that area.

Wow. And then you're a musician as well.

SPEAKER_02 3:25

Yes, yes, yes.

That's exciting. Tell me about that.

SPEAKER_02 3:30

So I believe, I definitely believe that God has a great sense of humor. I when I see, you know, when I think about him, I just don't think about like he's just up there, like, you know, and and so, and I say that because a couple of years ago, I was sitting there and I was going through some things personally. I had an indoor church hurt. And, you know, I wanted to just lash out, you know, I wanted to lash out like on social media, and the Holy Spirit was like, no, we're not doing that. And so he began to download just lyrics. And so I became a prophetic lyrical gangster almost. Yeah, so as he began to download those lyrics, I said to myself, I'm like, man, I'm, you know, I'm it's not like I'm in my 20s. So I don't, I don't know who typically starts off as being, you know, start rapping, you know, in their later pride years. So that's why I say I believe God has a sense of humor. But I went to, you know, as I began, as he began to give me the words and I began to write those words, it was like it was ministering to my spirit. And it brought immediate peace. And I went, like I would say, probably not a knock-open neighborhood to record it. And the guys that were in there, you could tell like they're from the other side of the track. But but they were in there and they were listening and they were like, oh my God, this is so hot. And I'm thinking to myself, this is what I want. If I can reach the world, if I can reach beyond the four walls, then I know that I'm moving in the right direction. So, yes, I am an artist. I'm excited about that.

Praise God. And so, where has your music taken you so far?

SPEAKER_02 5:11

Well, it's taken me on several different platforms, radio, television. I'll actually be performing in Atlanta later on or in a couple of weeks at the end of July. But different, just different platforms, youth events, revival events, church events, just just wherever I would say that God is thriving and ordaining my feet to be able to minister.

Wow, praise God. And so, you know, you never know. We talked earlier with another guest, you never know these gifts that are embedded in you that sometimes you know kind of get they just they don't birth out yet, you know, and you never know when they're gonna come out. You know, you never know. God instilled things into you of what you're going to be able to do, and sometimes we get caught up with everything else that's going on in our life that they get buried away, and then he's like, no, we're gonna tap into that now. Now you're ready. It's kind of like when I wrote my first book, and I kept getting all these little hits, you know, the little hints that come about. Yeah, they're little god poked, you know, like just like, okay, you need to write a book. I'm like, I can't write a book. I barely did good at school. I barely got to my master's, like, I don't even want to think about writing anymore, you know? And then you go in a few more months, and somebody else, hey, did you ever write a book? You really should write a book. I'm like, no, you know, I haven't, and no, I don't think I can do that, you know? And then and then all of a sudden it's like one day, you know, I'm sitting there and I'm like, okay, fine, what do you want me to do? And you know, the Holy Spirit just downloaded with me, and it was just amazing how it all came to be, and that's how struggle to be good enough came about because I had been praying for healing and questioning like Lord, I'm on this path with you, but I don't understand. I don't understand. I know you will use all the bad for the good for your glory, and I want to be able to do that for you, but I don't understand why I made all those mistakes. I don't understand why you know I chose those individuals to be a part of my life when they shouldn't have been, and why I'm backslid, and why I kept coming back. I don't understand those things that twofold habits by me sitting down writing, I realized what had happened. You know, there was rape and there was molestation and there was all these things that had taken away my essence. So I had no self-worth, and he was trying to show me you are worthy in me. You don't need other people to show to have your worth.

Right.

And so I was healed by writing that book. And so, you know, just like you now going off, and now you're in this music, and and you were just like, wow, how is this all coming? There's probably some kind of a healing that manifested through all of that, I'm sure.

SPEAKER_02 8:01

Yes, yes, yes, definitely, definitely did, because I would say that um the Bible talks about how offense of man can be one of the greatest offenses. And typically it's because when you have put someone, and and I know a lot of times the Bible gives us wisdom on how we can handle certain situations, but we are still carnal. And so sometimes you'll put somebody in a position or on a platform that really doesn't deserve that specific, you know, position in your life. And so you'll move your focus off of the message of what God is relaying through that person, and then you'll move your focus on to what that person actually did, and now it actually becomes a representation of God, which is never what he would have designed for it to be. But when you endure something so, I would say so traumatizing or so hurtful, sometimes it can be so hard to move past that. And in ministry, in mentorship, I found, you know, women and even men who have been, you know, either hurt by the church or hurt by someone in the church, and they're stuck. They have no clue how to identify. Hey, that wasn't the love of God. That wasn't the wisdom of God. That wasn't what God was thinking. You know, that was that person's own carnal actions that overtook them. And so, even through the song, it not only brings deliverance to those that have been through church hurt, but it also brings a correct and open review to those that are in leadership, that are operating with an angelic presence, but a demonic agenda. And so I talk about how, you know, they they will they'll operate in, you know, where they're they're preaching and they're praying, but it's it's almost as if they they have they they no longer are consulting God. You know, now they're consulting their worldly desires and their lustful desires, and they're using that to fuel the messages, and they're using that to fuel the missions. And it's like like the Bible talks about that there will be a time in its year, you know, that they will have the identity, or they you'll identify them as being godly, but the power thereof will be missing. And so that's what the song, you know, it really dives in to identify, you know, to help those understand that, hey, I get it. You know, you may have gone through a traumatizing, traumatizing time, but that doesn't mean that you can stop. That doesn't mean that you can give up. That doesn't mean that you can check out on your God-given purpose simply because of what you endured. It's those lessons that say, hey, you know what? Let's get in position because now I've got to go back and bring deliverance from somebody else. Because it's not that that's the I would say that that's probably the oldest trick of the enemy of leadership in the church to cause, you know, offense to those believers or those non-believers, and then they just walk away.

Right? Right. Yeah, yeah. And and I know um I was writing down some notes and earlier this morning, and it's like, you know, during all that time, I you know, I just I wasn't I I I came across this sentence that stated, God covered me so I would not remember. His grace covered me all those years so that I could just keep pushing through. And yes, my mind was crowded, and yes, everything was going on, but at the same time, because of his grace, he was he uncovered it when he knew I was ready.

He just uncovered it, and then he was like, This is what happened, you know. So then I wept, of course, and then I realized all those close calls of death and all those, you know, had suicide attempts, everything. He still had me covered. Wow. But he couldn't reveal it then. I know it had to be revealed when it was revealed because his timing is always right. And you know, the devil tells us what we won't we're not gonna stand in that promise. He likes to tell us that you know, we're worthless and we're not gonna amount to anything. And yeah, maybe you did have dreams when you were young, but you're never going to get there because of this, you know, and so praise God that he can get. And I the one word that stood out for me too in my study was nevertheless. Never, nevertheless. You know, he just turns it all around, nevertheless. And so praise God. So it's exciting what you're doing. Where's the next place that you're going to be speaking in?

Well, I actually have a single mom's conference that I have put together. It will be on July the 13th of 12th 3.

And God has given, and that man, when I tell you, it's it's so wonderful that when God gives you a vision, he sends you the provision. And so I think we have so far about anywhere between, I think it's about 75 women that have RSVP'd. And I'm believing God some more because I just it's it's all about helping them to change their lives. But we have been able to provide like gifts for every single mom that is in attendance. Might also was able to put together like a single mom emergency kit. And in that kit, it tells them like there are certain grants that they don't have to pay back, but you have to be a single mom to get, and they can use that, you know, whether it's to sustain them for rent or you know, light, or maybe a couple of months rent to receive redipers. So I put together a massive single mom's emergency kit, but you know, I I actually put that, I actually started the single mom's nonprofit out of a place of tragedy because the only was going through, or he had an in-and-out drug rehab. As soon as he turned 16, it was like it just that just hit him. And so I realized like there's not a lot of purpose help for moms who are trying to get help, whether it's for their kids or for themselves to be able to stabilize. And I've been watching, you know, so many moms that are either killing themselves and killing their kids or leaving their kids at the hands of a man that kills them. And it's because, you know, when they when they're looking for the resources, they're looking on a surface, so they can't find them. And you have to really dive deep to uncover all of the resources that are out there. So I'm like, I don't want anybody else that I, you know, I've been able to connect with or impact to go through that where they feel like, you know, I needed the help, I had nowhere to go to find the help. And like that young mother that stood outside of that food stamp office and she killed her two kids and killed herself because she was denied. I want to make sure that they know where they can go get food, where they can get money, where they can get all of these resources because I believe that, and it goes back again, you know, it's just the trick of the enemy. Like he wants you to feel like there's no help. He wants you to feel like there's no resources, like there's no support. And so, you know, stepping into entrepreneurship, I tell single moms all the time, I am the epitome and a testimony of God that supernatural child support does exist. You know, when my son's father didn't or refused to assist, God not only sent me what I would have been getting by the state, but he tripled that. So, yeah, so that and so that's the event that I do have coming up next, a single mom event. And then on July 27th, I'll actually be performing in Atlanta on a television show there in Atlanta. It'll be live taking. So I'll make sure I put that out, and all of that stuff will definitely be on my website.

That is so funny. Um right now. We've we've had two so far in the Houston area. I'm originally from Atlanta, Georgia, but I had a celebrity PR that reached out to me. She said a shopping, this, what you're doing, needs to go on tour. So I'm definitely believing God that no, Houston will not be the only place that's going to be able to do that. Oh, praise God. Yes, we definitely will be going to different cities and different states.

Well, we'll be praying for that for sure. And so now your resources that you tap into for the single moms, if there's any single moms listening, those right now are the ones that you found in the Houston area only, or those grants and things that you know of that can be in other states.

Wow.

Yeah, that's nationwide. And it's nationwide because I do mentor single moms outside of the Houston area in different states. Awesome. Well, this is exciting news. And so, you know, I wanted to touch a little bit, I heard a little bit of you saying that you had been a single mom and that so did their father walk away from you and your boys?

SPEAKER_02 20:03

Yes. So my my situation was was definitely crazy. When I first got pregnant with my oldest son, it was his father was very, I would say, very established, extremely successful. So in my mind, I thought that it was gonna go exactly how they show it on TV. However, it did not go like that. And not only did he he just checked out, like he actually checked out when I was about, I would say, eight months pregnant, is when he checked out. So he never ever met my oldest son until this year. So you're talking about, yeah, you're talking about like 15 and a half years or 16 years because my son just turned 16, but he just met him this year. So that's a I mean, and that's even a testimony to somebody that's listening that the father was not present. Just continue to pray and continue to ask God to bring reconciliation and restoration and be specific of how you need that to happen because God is the God of answered prayers, but he also asked us to be very specific. And so I believe that had he would have stepped in maybe five to seven years ago, he would not have entered into this space where he feels like drugs are just more important. And that's why I started the single mom movement, because I, you know, I told God and I declared to the enemy that, you know, if you're gonna try to take and assassinate my son, then I'll save as many kids and as many single moms as possible as I can, just so that way you, you know, that's my answer back.

I wasn't gonna sit and defeat, I wasn't gonna be, you know, depressed and stressed out about it. That is that's my answer back. So yeah, definitely have to be specific. But yeah, he walked out and so they just met this year.

And how did that go?

SPEAKER_02 21:58

Well, it didn't go good.

SPEAKER_00 22:00

Well, yeah, I could imagine. There's a lot of hurt, there's abandonment, you know, there's your heart is hurt.

SPEAKER_02 22:07

Yes, yes. It didn't, it definitely did not go good. He actually came to the rehab hospital where my son was being treated. And so when he walked in, he felt like if I come and meet him in probably the most lowest parts of his life, he'll understand that I'm here for you and I want to see you, you know, I want to see you blossom. So he he came in and the meeting did not go well. They actually have they've progressed a little bit now where they are talking and visiting one another. But yeah, it definitely it definitely did not go well. And like you said, you know, there was a lot of hurt, there was a lot of you know, abandonment, a lot of rejection, so and a lot of anger.

So yeah, so now that's yeah, the wounds get opened up and so they hurt at first, but then they'll the healing will start to come now.

Amen. And we're gonna just believe in that. I was just curious right now, like would it be difficult? I mean, if we had a few minutes for you to share one of your uh what do you call it, a rap song, or how would you call that like a poetical uh would it be possible for you to share something that you've written?

Yeah, yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. I can do that. Now, are you did you did you want me to play it or did you want me to just like recite it?

Acting like they say, but they hellish in the night. If you can see what I see, then see beyond the mask, then you would know they use the truth to silence all the lambs. I'm not your average saint, leader or your pastor. Just want to win souls. They call me the ambassador.

And this time, God, when they ask and they petition for you to move on their behalf, Father God, that you would send out the angelic hosts of heaven, Father, from the north, south, east, and the west, God, and that whatever enemy, Father God, whatever agenda, Father God, whatever demonic assignment, God, that would be coming up against them, be destroyed, God, be annihilated, Father God. For you are the God that answers by fire, and because you do, there's nothing and no one that will be able to come against what you call them to be, God. So we thank you for perfecting them and everything that concerns them, God. We thank you, Lord God, for raising them up, Father God. And we thank you, Lord God, that as they begin to petition you like never before, that they will see the miraculous power of the Almighty God that does not change, but stays the same yesterday, today, and forever. We decree and we declare it now in the name of Jesus Christ.
