[22] Stop Seeing People as Their Identity

In this episode of The Noah Frequency, Noah begins with a simple observation:

A heavy heart is not the problem.

The story we create about it is.

As the discussion unfolds, Noah challenges the tendency to interpret every emotion through the lens of identity—assigning meaning, blame, fear, and certainty to experiences that may be something far simpler and far deeper.

According to Noah, even emotions we resist most—grief, confusion, disappointment, and pain—are not separate from love. They are love viewed through a different lens.

This conversation explores:

  •  Why emotions feel so convincing
  •  How identity creates narratives around pain
  •  The difference between experiencing an emotion and interpreting it
  •  Why love may be the foundation beneath every feeling
  •  And how returning to essence changes our relationship with suffering

Sometimes the greatest source of pain is not what happened.

It's the story we keep telling ourselves about what happened.

And sometimes freedom begins the moment that story loosens its grip.

SPEAKER_05

Frequency over a channel consciousness name now. Speaks through trans media Nico Kabuzzas. Fielding questions about life's mysteries and about you. What follows is not an interview, but rather a QA with the spirit world. I'm your host, Stephen Berkeley. Greetings, Noah. It's wonderful to have you with us today.

SPEAKER_02

Greetings to you, my dear. As always, my dear. It truly is an honor to connect with your essence. Thank you. Greetings to all who have joined and all who are listening. It's truly an honor to connect with each of your essences as well. Notice my dear ones. You are the seekers. Seeking your remembrance to your essence. The acceptance that you are essence. Either seeking it externally or internally. Notice now. And you are seeking your essence, but you are failing to seek the essence in everyone, in every relationship you are engaged with. And this, my dear ones, is what is causing a great disturbance, distortion to your own truth. Allow me to honestly and lovingly ask each of you a question. How do you presume it is possible for you to truly remember you are your essence? You are unconditional love, that you began the incarnation as your essence, expressing the unconditional love through the human form, which has not altered. It is merely disguised. How can each of you return to your truth if you are viewing all as their identity? When the parent is viewing the child as their child, they respond as the identity of the parent. As the spouse views the spouse as identity, they are responding as the spouse. You are viewing as your identity, their identity, and responding appropriately as you have been conditioned to do so. So if one is spending their incarnation, viewing as the identity, responding as the identity in turn, why would you presume it would be simpler to locate your own essence with the same lens of the identity? A simple question, indeed. A most difficult answer that your identity cannot possibly provide. So my beautiful seekers Why continue to seek if you have never ceased being your essence? The infant expresses unconditional love. That is all it is. The crafting of the identity is indeed purposeful. As stated previously. It allows your essence to experience the human incarnation. But notice your essence has never ceased expressing unconditional love through the form. It is your identity who has been disturbing it. Your identity viewing through its lens, your identity reacting as identity, your identity perceiving other identities as the roles provided to them. So rather than seeking that which you are as essence, perhaps merely alter the lens, your identity as peering through, and view each what they truly are, essence as you. Honor the relationship, honor their titles, their roles, for the value it provided you on your journey, in order for those experiences to unfold. Honor it, my dear ones. Do not define them by their identity as you are defining yourselves by your identity. There is a difference, my dear ones. And that is what you should be seeking.

SPEAKER_01

Is that clear, my dear?

SPEAKER_05

It is. Thank you, Noah. Wonderful. I have an answer for you. Or is it? Indeed, you too, my dear. Well, last time you said something about us having being very loving when we're infants, and I was thinking about that and thinking, well, maybe I should try to have do less and have more wonder in my day.

SPEAKER_02

Notice, my dear. The wonder is peering through the lens of your essence. Notice, my dear. That thought was actually intuition, guidance of your essence. And finally, my dear, when you did notice that thought, did you also notice that comforting sensation? The peace, tranquility, a deeper knowing?

SPEAKER_05

This might be a false implanted memory, but I think so.

SPEAKER_02

That, my dear, is what you experience through intuition. The purest passageway that's your essence is delivering guidance.

SPEAKER_05

You say when we're infants, we're all we're so loving, but infants also have great demands.

SPEAKER_02

You are mentioning once more the demands of the form. My dear, this is because they are unable to articulate. Remove hunger. Remove tiredness. Remove the bodily function, my dear.

SPEAKER_01

View it, my dear, in a pure state.

SPEAKER_02

Even you, my dear. You are not always seeking to nourish the body, to rest the body. But you are not always in your natural state either. Do you recognize the difference, my dear?

SPEAKER_05

Maybe.

SPEAKER_01

My dear.

SPEAKER_02

Allow us to move on to the toddler phase. The toddler now is able to express when it is hungry and it is tired. But notice the toddler continues to love everyone unconditionally. The identity has not yet been created. That is still essence, my dear. Expressing unconditional love through the human form. It is when the identity begins to be formed. That all experiences unfold. Through this conditioning. The perception that you are your identity becomes greater than the fact that you are essence. And that is the illusion which makes incarnation a possibility.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, thank you. Wonderful.

SPEAKER_02

Also, as stated previously, my dear, which is continuously overlooked. There is no form that enters the reality with breath. Your essence provides the breath. Another indication, my dear. That you have always been essence. You continue to breathe.

SPEAKER_05

Is that clear, my dear? It is, Noah, but it is our identity that acquires language, correct?

SPEAKER_02

Indeed, my dear, it is conditioned. It is learned.

SPEAKER_05

So we have to resort, we have to cooperate with our identity as essence in order to be able to shout.

SPEAKER_02

My dear, notice your words. Identity as essence. That is accurate, my dear. What we are articulating is that most of humanity is deferring to the identity, defining themselves by the identity and not the essence. This is the difference, my dear. You are the essence. But are you expressing the essence through your identity? Are you expressing love through the form? Articulating as the identity learned to articulate as love, as your essence? Are you honoring all by viewing each as essence rather than identity? Or are you allowing the powerful conditioning to persuade you to believe the identity is who you define to be? Do you recognize the difference, my dear?

SPEAKER_05

I do.

SPEAKER_02

Please. Me too.

SPEAKER_01

Wonderful, my dear.

SPEAKER_02

The interference, the multitude of questions, expression of disbelief, fear.

SPEAKER_01

This is the truth. This is what your essence provides emotion, sensation, love.

SPEAKER_02

And I further ask you to notice the dynamic of the mind challenging these words, this truth, but love responding, attaching to the truth.

SPEAKER_01

For that is your remembrance.

SPEAKER_05

I've just unmuted Randy. Randy will would like to ask the first question, I believe.

SPEAKER_02

Indeed, my dear. Greetings to you, my dear one.

SPEAKER_04

Greetings, Noah. Um, I am just um admiring actually the articulation of love, my essence shining through my identity. And I was uh thinking about where I'm doing that and and where I might be falling short.

SPEAKER_02

Idea. It is not a matter of my dear of precise articulation, nor is it a matter of my dear, of your essence expressing through the form. That is natural. How are you, my dear, perceiving others still? Notice, my dear, you are still viewing your children as their identity. You are still viewing your clients as their identity, parents as their identity, friends, loves as their identity. So I ask you, my dear, whom are you perceiving also as essence?

SPEAKER_04

I'm not. I thought I was more.

SPEAKER_02

Notice, my dear, if you are viewing them as essence first, then your identity does not attempt to articulate. You are mirroring, my dear, what is truly occurring. Essence to essence communication expressed through the human forms. So it is one thing, my dear. To mentally view them as essence is another, my dear, to correspond with them, identity to identity. Do you recognize the difference, my dear?

SPEAKER_04

Um interacting.

SPEAKER_02

In theory, my dear, you believe they are essence as you believe you are essence. Practicality, my dear. You are still governed by your identity. It is softened indeed. It is more loving indeed, but it still reacts, but you still view them as identity as well. The identity of family, my dear, converses with you. You are still viewing them as the identity of the family member. And therefore, my dear, you are holding your tongue. You remain silent. You are not speaking your truth, for you are not viewing them as essence first. When the client comes before you, my dear, indeed, theoretically, you recognize their essence, but you are engaging with them through identities. You are concerned with their perception of you. You are concerned with how you should articulate and how they shall receive it, for you are continuing to view them as identity rather than essence, my dear.

unknown

I understand.

SPEAKER_02

It is not merely to theorize that they are essence, it is to first accept you, yourself, as your essence and trust, my dear. It has always been your essence, communicating with your their essence expressed through the human forms. Therefore, my dear, when the family member, my dear, provokes you, or are you pausing and allowing the identity to react? Perhaps what occurred, my dear, was part of the covenant, the agreements. Not to challenge you, my dear, not to punish you, my dear, but to allow you to notice that you are not speaking your truth. The truth is the essence, my dear. As mentioned earlier, all are seeking to return to their essence, but how many are truly embracing their essence? Embracing that love, speaking the truth unwavered, regardless of how others perceive them. That is true alignment, my dear. The identity is cautious, the identity continues to enforce the viewpoint that you are engaging with another identity. Do you notice the difference, my dear?

SPEAKER_04

I understand. It's much clearer because it's about speaking my truth, and when I hold back, that is my identity.

SPEAKER_02

Indeed, my dear.

SPEAKER_04

I understand.

SPEAKER_02

When you are not speaking your truth, it is because. The identity once more allows and view them as another identity. That is the conditioning, my dear. That is the habit which needs to be recognized and not followed. And that is how you embrace the notion that you are essence first and foremost. And that becomes your truth. And it is not simply, my dear, articulating the truth as essence. It is truly, undoubtedly, viewing each incarnation as essence as well. For why would you be the only essence, my dear, and they be identities? Where's the logic in that? Do you understand the difference, my dear?

SPEAKER_04

I I do, I do. The word that just came to me is a fearless, like a fearlessness.

SPEAKER_02

That is the essence, my dear. Indeed, my dear fearlessness. The essence is eternal, the human form is not. Which do you perceive has more power than, my dear?

SPEAKER_04

The essence.

SPEAKER_02

Indeed, my dear. Which possesses the truth, my dear.

SPEAKER_04

The essence.

SPEAKER_02

Which is of pure, unconditional love, my dear.

SPEAKER_04

The essence.

SPEAKER_02

The essence. And which is every one that you are true now. Wonderful, my dear.

SPEAKER_04

Got it.

SPEAKER_02

My dear, once more, it is quite simple to recognize it. But this is essence to essence communicating, my dear. Well, the difficulty press, my dear, is when you once more engage physically with another loved one or another client. And notice how quickly you once more view them for the identity they are providing you. That is alignment, my dear. The more you view them as essence, the more you are viewing your incarnation through the lens of your very own essence. And that is what true seekers are seeking, my dear. That is the truth.

SPEAKER_01

Is that clear, my dear one?

SPEAKER_04

It is.

SPEAKER_01

Wonderful.

SPEAKER_04

Thank you.

SPEAKER_01

And I you, my dear.

SPEAKER_05

Thank you, Randy. Aline has a question next. Aline?

SPEAKER_00

Hello, Noah, and everyone.

SPEAKER_02

Greetings to you, my dear.

SPEAKER_00

And I apologize for the little like signs that keep popping up. I am not doing that, but it says that I am. Um, not that I don't like this. Um monthly life with this meeting, um, monthly for last. Someone named Christian Sunberg's okay. And he's a person who has an unusual degree of conscious memory of between the lives before birth, um, etc. And his general line of the energetic template of his life, so to speak. He said that there are various exit points that exist along our life path, and that we have some choice about whether to take a certain exit or not. I wondered if you could speak about that.

SPEAKER_02

My dear. Let us return to the conditioning of the identity, to the condition mind. Recognize, my dear, how the identity is crafted based on each event, their entire educational level, religious beliefs, everything they have read in passage, my dear, manuscripts, every lyric of every song, every conversation they participated in or overheard, everything, my dear, every moment since the incarnation to the end is stored within the subconscious mind. And this, my dear, creates the only resource available to the identity. When one, my dear, explores the expansiveness of consciousness. When others, my dear, state they experience a near-death experience, an out-of-body experience, all which has been articulated throughout humanity's history. It is one thing, my dear, for what they are observing, noticing, experiencing during the moment. And it is quite another, my dear, when they return and attempt to articulate it through the only resource available to their identity, which does not equate to what truly they have experienced. And this is when, my dear, translations occur, misinterpretations occur, and the continuing of false teaching is spread. This is not wrong, my dear. This is also intentional, my dear. So rather than, my dear, listening to others attempt to articulate through their condition mind. If one is interested, my dear, enter your own field of consciousness and experience it first hand. For the power, my dear, the truth, the return, rests within the experience, not within the articulation when one returns their attention to their reality. Do you recognize the difference, my dear?

SPEAKER_00

I do, but that wasn't my question, actually. And Christian did say over and over that what he had experienced couldn't be put into words, so I completely accept that. Um let me boil the question down a little bit differently. Um, what it amounts to is do we have a pre-organized plan for when we will die? And do we have any not conscious, but um any essential choice about when that happens?

SPEAKER_02

My dear, let me too ask you a question as well. When you are stating we, my dear, who exactly are you referencing?

SPEAKER_00

All humans and all sentient beings.

SPEAKER_02

So basically, my dear, your question originates through your human identity. And therefore, my dear, if that is so, then you are separating your identity from your essence. This is also part of the conditioning, my dear. This relies heavily on your religious upbringing. Once more, my dear, it is how your identity perceives occurrences based on its conditioned mind and what is in your resource of your subconscious mind, my dear. The identity, my dear, was not the first expression when it is formed to breath was your essence. The identity, my dear, is not what remains when the incarnation comes to a completion, it is still your essence, my dear. So, if, my dear, your incarnation begins with your essence and ends when you with your essence, where does the incarnation become your identities? Is that clear, my dear?

SPEAKER_00

That part is clear.

SPEAKER_02

So now, my dear, if you will, how would your essence answer your questions? Not your identity, my dear. Not the condition mind, not what is thought in the subconscious. How do you presume your essence would answer your question?

SPEAKER_00

That it doesn't matter.

SPEAKER_02

Wonderful, my dear. Wonderful. Notice my dear one. Asking a question as your identity, receiving the answer as your identity will not always remain clear. It is still resistance, skepticism, it is still your identity. But asking the very same questions, my dear, and perceiving how your essence would respond overrides the control of the identity. Notice, my dear, as stated earlier, there is a softness in the heart, there is a calmness in your atmosphere. This is also your essence, my dear. Reassuring you that this is who you are. Is that clear, my dear one?

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_02

Wonderful. I thank you, my dear.

SPEAKER_00

Thank you, Noah.

SPEAKER_05

Thank you, Aline. Noah, my essence answered slightly differently than Aline's essence. So I want to just get a check from you.

SPEAKER_02

And how are you certain, my dear? That was not your interpretation, a translation of your identity.

SPEAKER_05

I'm not sure. That's why I'm gonna ask for this check.

SPEAKER_02

You're better received the answer, my dear.

SPEAKER_05

I really like if you if you don't mind giving me this courtesy, if you don't mind indulging me, I'm gonna ask you. You may proceed, my dear. The question is okay, my identity, I thought, said something along the lines of my life will be complete when my essence is finished.

SPEAKER_02

My dear. Sure. Do you truly perceive that this is the only incarnation your essence is experiencing? Of course not. So if there were, my dear, various parallel incarnations, and this one completed first, would the other ones not continue?

SPEAKER_05

Of course they would.

SPEAKER_02

Would that not equate to your essence continuing all of them?

SPEAKER_05

They would complete all the ones except for the one this incarnation that I'm in now.

SPEAKER_02

And yet that proves, my dear, that your essence is continuing. Yes, because human.

SPEAKER_05

I'm sorry, when I said my essence was finished, I meant my essence is finished with an incarnation in this particular timeline with me.

SPEAKER_02

Indeed, my dear. The essence is eternal. Incarnations are transient. Yes. Which is also, my dear, a wonderful debate when many define themselves as their essence, and many define themselves as their identity. If one, my dear, is transient and one is eternal, which is the truth. So if all are essence, my dear, why define yourself through this identity you are privy of, as you are unaware of the various identities also occurring simultaneously? And yet they are all born of the same essence, which is eternal. Where is the logic, my dear, with defining yourself as your identity?

SPEAKER_05

Just custom. Conditioning, indeed. But Noah, I understand when you say our identities are conditioned, but it's also true, is it not, that our essence is not quite as easily as perceived by us humans. We can't just wear that lens.

SPEAKER_02

My dear, this is the intentionality of incarnation.

SPEAKER_05

Right, but you implore us to see things through our essence's lens, right?

SPEAKER_02

Indeed, my dear, for this is why you're all seeking, why you're all gathered today, why those are listening, they are seeking the return to their essence, my dear. Notice, my dear, not all of humanity has joined your platform. We are not referencing all of humanity, we are offering insight to those who are engaged. This is what they are seeking: the truth, the remembrance, the love. Well, my dear, a simple question, my dear. If you remained as loving as you began this journey, if you continued to express your essence, your unconditional love, if all of your relationships were covenants of pure love, and all you experienced was love, and you were shielded by the current events of your reality, and your identity was only conditioned in pure, unconditional love. Why would that incarnation be any different than you as an essence? It wouldn't. Exactly, my dear. This is why the incarnation is so vital. This is why the conditioning of the identity is so precise. Each of you experience different educations, different religious beliefs, different conversations, different relationships. They are specific for each incarnation, for these are the sacred covenants, essence to essence. But keep in mind, my dear, what is also overlooked, which we have already discussed. This allows your identity to perceive pain as pain, while your essence views pain as another level of love. So as your journey continues, as most of humanity will continue to perceive pain as pain, will continue to define themselves as their identity, this does not negate the fact that their essence is still learning another degree of love through their human perception of pain. So no incarnation, my dear, is wasted. Each incarnation allows their essence to learn another degree of love, which is not possible when it is only of love. Isn't that clear, my dear?

SPEAKER_05

It is. But Noah, if you are helping us get to a place where we can actually see things through our essence, are you depriving our essences of the lesson that we're supposed to learn during this incarnation?

SPEAKER_02

My dear, if you are not intended to remember your essence, we will not be having this discussion today.

SPEAKER_05

That makes a lot of sense.

SPEAKER_02

Viewing through the lens of your essence, that is your journey. Is that clear?

SPEAKER_05

It is clear. And right now it feels like I'm climbing a mountain, Noah.

SPEAKER_02

As it should, my dear. This is part of your journey. It's specifics. But also, my dear, if you were not experiencing it as difficult as you are, with as much color as it is offering, if you will, you would not be able to humbly and honestly and lovingly express the truth through your platform, would you?

SPEAKER_05

I guess not.

SPEAKER_02

Intentionality, my dear. This is the intellect of your essence.

SPEAKER_05

Brilliant.

SPEAKER_02

Indeed. One seeks clarity on.

SPEAKER_05

I'm looking over the gallery now. And I do not see any raised hands at the moment. We have about ten more minutes. Oh, I think Gloria is making a move. Gloria making a move? Hold on, let me unmute you. Okay, Gloria, go ahead.

SPEAKER_03

Thank you. Thank you, Noah. Meetings. My identity, my human identity, I realize wants answers and to understand and be able to put everything in language and categories. I get that my essence is so much bigger. My understanding as my essence is so much bigger than I can articulate or understand as my identity. And I guess what I'm trying to say is that's where I've got um it's it's rough like sandpaper between the two.

SPEAKER_02

My dear, notice what you articulated that your identity is attempting to understand the expansiveness of your essence. And earlier, my dear, you also stated that your identity is seeking certainty. This, my dear, is the intentionality of the condition of the identity. The identity, my dear, is created to seek certainty, to rationalize, to find meaning, to find understanding. And it continues until it does so. Whatever, my dear, opportunity presents itself, as stated earlier. The identity is uncertain. It scans the resources of the subconsciousness, it locates what is similar, and places meaning and certainty upon that moment. And this, my dear, is the conditioning. This continues the cycle of incarnation. Also, why, my dear, essence is not explored within education. As essence truly should be reflected. Which is also why your essence, my dear, has been banished through. Religious institutions. If all believe they are essence, my dear, there will be no requirement for an intermediary, and they would lose control and power. So what you are experiencing, my dear, this return to your essence, this remembrance, comes with uncertainty, for it does not resonate with anything stored within the subconscious. And as the identity, my dear, cannot find reason. There's nothing to match, if you will. It resists. It instills fear, doubt, skepticism. In order for you not to follow your essence, but rather to follow the identity, to sustain certainty once more. This is why it is vital, my dear, to notice what is occurring, to notice the identity, seeking certainty, seeking reason, creating its own narrative in order to find that certainty, my dear. Even if it is negating the existence of your essence. It shall do everything in its power, my dear, to sustain its own control, for it perceives it is protecting you. So it is not a matter, my dear, of your identity accepting your essence. It is you noticing the control and not following the reflex the identity has placed in motion throughout its condition. And how one must ask. Recognizing the mechanism, my dear, of thought. Controlling identity believes it is the author of thought, speech, and yet it is not. Thought appears within awareness, my dear. And then one notices it. Same with speech, emotion, sensation. Thought, my dear, is how you are receiving insight by your essence. The same mechanism, my dear, which occurs throughout your day, throughout your entire existence, and is continuously disregarded by your identity as imagination. Notice the interruption, my dear. Notice the control of the identity, my dear, first. Soften that, my dear. And then you shall notice the thought appearing as insight. This is how one remembers that they are essence. The identity, my dear, will never low key or remember or believe that they are essence first. But that unravels the entire control, my dear, as well as the conditioning. Is that clear?

SPEAKER_03

Yes, I can feel that. Yes.

SPEAKER_02

My dear, once more, sensation and emotion appears within awareness. So your essence, my dear, is able to utilize all thought, speech, sensation, and emotion. For your essence is within awareness, my dear. Your identity is powerless against sensation and emotion. It's impossible for the mind to create either, my dear. It is powerless against thought, but it wishes to believe it is the owner. Speech, my dear, is where your essence, your identity is able to manipulate it. Hence the pausing, hence the censoring. So each time, my dear, you receive insight, truth of your essence. Rest assured, my dear, sensation or emotion will follow suit. That is your affirmation that you are seeking. That is how you recognize that you are truly in alignment. Is that clear, my dear?

SPEAKER_03

Yes, I just experienced something, Noah, and I want to share with you that I had this sensation, this feeling. It was a feeling of love and understanding, and it occurred to me that I was sharing that with other parts of my essence and other incarnations, and that we were all feeling it together.

SPEAKER_02

Indeed, my dear. Essence to essence, my dear. It is one essence, various identities. You are always experiencing, my dear, sensations, emotions from other parallel realities as well as your own. It is not that the identities, my dear, are instrumental with this. It is your essence, but it is the shared essence, my dear. Notice, my dear, when one is mourning, experiencing heartache, senses loneliness, is weeping behind a closed door. Does one ever sense they are alone, my dear? They are happy with no logic or irritated with no logic attached. How is that occurring, my dear? The perception is that an incarnation is a solitary event. One is born alone and dies alone. This is the greatest misconception of all. Trust the power, my dear, of your essence, and trust that you already possess the intellect. If you are not seeking, if you are not attempting, by an effort, interfering. Naturally, my dear, your own wisdom is resort to you. Intentionally, for a purpose. That is what you are seeking. Trust it, my dear. Do not rush it.

SPEAKER_01

Is that clear, my dear?

SPEAKER_03

Yes, the word trust has been given to me repeatedly, and I can feel that word, yes.

SPEAKER_02

Indeed, my dear. Trust without certainty.

SPEAKER_01

Thank you. That is the passage, my dear. I thank you, my dear one.

SPEAKER_05

Thank you, Gloria. And thank you, Noah. That was a that was a full meal. That felt felt felt good. Really? Thank you.

SPEAKER_02

Gratitude is house, my dear.

SPEAKER_05

Everyone can immute themselves if they'd like to stay so long to Noah.
