Nothing is Required: Trauma-Informed Gong Listening
Nothing Is Required is a trauma-informed sound podcast designed for nervous systems that live in brace mode.
Hosted by Navy Veteran and Sound Alchemist JS Worldbridger and Julie Jules Smoot this podcast offers structured gong listening sessions created to support regulation, grounding, and reduced overwhelm. Each episode is paced intentionally — with gradual entry, predictable resonance, and space to soften without pressure.
These are not performance-based meditations.
There is no emotional outcome to achieve.
There is nothing to fix.
Through Chiron Gong, planetary gong sessions, and steady vibrational sound fields, listeners are invited to practice un-bracing — gently and at their own pace.
This podcast is designed for individuals living with trauma histories, CPTSD, chronic stress, sensory sensitivity, and nervous system dysregulation who are seeking contained, non-verbal support between therapy sessions.
Nothing is required of you here.
You are not asked to go deeper than your body wants to go.
You are simply invited to listen.

Beginning Where You Are
This piece is an invitation to arrive without expectation.
There is nothing you need to change before listening.
Nothing you need to understand.
Nothing you need to become.
You are not being asked to expand.
You are not being asked to let go.
You are not being asked to go deeper.
You are simply being met where you are.
The sound unfolds without demand.
It does not lead.
It does not instruct.
It does not require a response.
You may notice sensation.
You may notice thought.
You may notice nothing at all.
All of this is valid.
“Beginning Where You Are” is the opening movement of Jupiter Gong: Rightful Expansion.
Before expansion, there is presence.
Before movement, there is arrival.
And sometimes, that is enough.
You may listen with attention
or allow the sound to exist in the background.
You may stay for the entire piece
or step away at any time.
Nothing is required of you.
Listening First. Always.
The opening moments of this episode include a short excerpt from Regulation Before Release.
This excerpt is offered as orientation and stabilization before the main content begins. It is not an exercise and does not ask the listener to relax, process, or change anything. The sound is shared as structure—something steady that can be present while the nervous system settles at its own pace.

The opening minutes of this episode feature an excerpt from Nothing Is Required of You, a listening piece that anchors the tone and ethics of this podcast.
This excerpt is offered as orientation—not instruction. There is no exercise to follow, no breath to control, and no expectation to relax, heal, or change. The sound is shared as presence—something that can be nearby without asking anything of the listener.

Nothing is required of you here.
You are invited to listen in the way that feels right for you. Or not listen at all. As the sound begins to settle, there is no need to come back quickly. You may remain where you are for a moment. You may notice your breath, your body, or the space around you. Expansion does not always feel like becoming more. Sometimes expansion is allowing what is already here to take up space. You may notice a shift, a softening, a resistance, or nothing at all. All of these are valid. There is nothing to hold on to from this experience. There is nothing you need to carry forward. But if something remains with you, a tone, a feeling, a sense of space, you may allow it to be there without needing to define it. As you move back into your day, you might take this with you. Expansion does not require effort. It does not require force. It can begin with allowing yourself to be exactly where you are. Thank you for listening. Listening first. Always.
