I'm your host, Stacy Piagno, and I'm very excited to get into today's topic: spiritual nurturing for intuitive children. You guys know I have a sister channel, Inno Spiritual Sense, where we build our intuition and dive into some of these more metaphysical conversations and topics. Well, today we are going to bring some of that into our conversation as we discuss the intuitive child. What does this look like? And what are some challenges that these kids might be going through? And how can we, as parents and educators, better support them and help nurture these gifts instead of suppress them? And I'm very honored to welcome today's special guest who is going to take us through these conversations. She is an author, mystic channeler, and spiritual educator. Michelle Henderson, welcome to the show.
SPEAKER_02Thank you so much for having me. I am so excited about this topic, which is about children.
SPEAKER_00Yes. Yes, I'm excited as well. Two of my favorite things to talk about is intuition and again, children. So we're definitely going to get into all of that. Um, Michelle, first, I would love for you to talk a little bit about you. Um, were you a highly sensitive child? What did your childhood look like and how did you start to connect with the spirit world? I love this question.
SPEAKER_02And you know, as an educator, I think all educators are empaths and actually have the intuitiveness about themselves. Because why, you know, why go into education? Because we're here to save the world, right? Yeah. So I I so I feel like a lot of educators do tend to have that intuition. But yeah, so growing up, I did have a lot of intuitiveness. Um, I just knew when something was going to happen, even though, and and of course, when I was younger, I thought this was absolutely normal. I thought everybody, you know, acknowledged it or recognized it. I thought it was just normal. And but I could feel whenever spirit was around, I could feel the different energies, I could feel when my classmates were sad because I came home and I was sad and I was a sensitive child. And um, so yeah, so I finally said something to one of my friends. I said, Do you like feel when the energy shifts or when you're out in public with all this energy? Can you feel it? And of course, I got the look of fear, and it's like, do not open that door, Michelle. Don't open that door and don't even try to explain, you know, explain what's going on. Um, don't step towards that. And of course, as I got older, I wanted to fit in socially, so I tuned it down a little bit, but I still used my intuition just to help me on a daily basis to make decisions and uh followed my heart that way. So that's how I started. Um, spirit began to get louder and louder as I got older, and it's almost like spirit was saying, it is time for you to work in the spiritual world. And this was, and of course, I was in education then, and I did work with the children and I called in spirit and I used all my gifts that way. But again, no one knew I didn't come out of the closet until right before COVID. And I love to say that out of the closet. Yeah, I love that too. But whenever I found out that I really needed to go get knowledge, is when I was watching a movie one time and I had this very loud spirit come across, interrupted my movie, and said, I want you to tell my granddaughter that she's taking life too seriously and she needs to lighten up. And I went, Okay, I will just, you know, just quiet down so I can watch the movie. So I did the next day, and I got a really good response. And I'm thinking, oh, is this is how it is? And so that's whenever I went out and I found another psychic medium who helped me go through it. She said, First of all, don't think you're crazy. And second of all, we'll help you tune in your gifts so that you are not afraid of them. So, so let me ask you. Yes, I did you have any uh spiritual awakening or spirit trying to knock on your door when you were younger?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so it's funny. Um, I love talking about this as well. When I was younger, I was similar to you. I could feel spirits and I could feel energy. For me, I didn't so much see spirits, um, probably because I turned it off. Um, you and me had joked a little the other day that whenever I would go to bed, I think I was so sensitive to energy. I could tell when there were spirits in the room and I can tell where they when they were around me, and I would shut down and I would get under my covers and I would be sweating and I would be scared. And it was like a daily thing. I would run to my parents' bed, you know, in the middle of the night. And as I got older, I realized I was an empath, which guys, we're gonna talk about this because I wanna I do want to get into some of the terminology for parents who might not be aware, but yeah, I was an empath. I could feel energy. Um, and because of that, I would always pray every night, please don't let me see anything, please don't let me see anything. There's nothing here, there's nothing here. And I would kind of grow that confidence a little bit by knowing that there is nothing here. Um and so it's funny, I I definitely could feel spirits as I got older, and I don't know if I've mentioned this on the show yet, but as I got older, I was a big athlete. So I think for me, um, I wasn't meant to work on, you know, some of these um spiritual tools until I got older because my focus was always with athletics, and I think uh I was supposed to be focused on that. I was supposed to be here in the physical world. Um, but you know, growing up, I was also an artist. And now I understand all that was doing was growing my third eye, right? And so so now I do really work with spirit. I I do a lot of channeling, a lot of writing, I paint spirits. We're gonna get into all these conversations today. I know we're just kind of skimming the surface. But um, growing up, you had mentioned, you know, talking to a friend, asking them if they if they could feel energy. I never really openly spoke about it, but in my age, I would look back and I would think, you know, I can look at that person in the other car and I could actually feel what they were feeling, or I could um sense what kind of day they were having. And I do that now as an adult. And it's funny because I realized that a lot of people can't feel that or can't sense that. And so with kids, what does the the intuitive child look like? And I do want to share some more stories between you and I, but for a parent who may have a child who is dealing with some of these things, maybe they're more sensitive um during bedtime, or maybe they go to school and they don't realize that their energy is getting drained, or they don't realize that maybe their kids are overly emotional because they're sensing everyone around them. What are some things as parents that we can look for to tap in and see if our kids are sensitive to energy?
SPEAKER_02And I oh, absolutely. So um, and I I do want to go back real quick. And then I talked about a lot real fast. So so whenever we were hiding under the blankets, you know, I did the same thing. Yes. Um, one time I had spirit actually, and I felt like it was somebody from my ancestor, but that she started rubbing the back of my neck, saying it's okay.
SPEAKER_01Oh wow.
SPEAKER_02So uh I think you were perfect on Mark whenever you said that parents will see that their children are more aware when they go to sleep, when they go to bed. So that is definitely a symptom. And they may hide themselves, but they don't know the fear when they're younger. They only are fearful if the parent is fearful. But but what the parent can look for is what we're saying right now, is whenever they right before bed, they can start feeling the energy. And that's almost the time that spirit wants to play, and they want to connect in because everything else is quiet, and the child is quiet, and it's like, oh, so we can talk about the strategies later and what to do, but also very vivid dreams. So, like almost like they're going into a video game, you know, they're having very vivid dreams, they are seeing relatives, they are seeing the visions, not only feeling, but also seeing. They may have a make-believe friend who may be not human, may not look like a human, may look like a teddy bear. So I think spirit has a way of showing themselves to a child to make the child feel more comfortable in what they are into. And a lot of times, though, it is a relative, and they can specifically tell you what they look like and what they said. And usually it's messages for their parents, which I absolutely love. They can be very creative, they can be very hyperactive, and because they are just like pulsating all of that energy, and so a lot of parents will say, Okay, I need to go get them to get medicine so that they can concentrate. But it's just like then that will kind of decrease their sensitivity quite a bit if they get on medicine. But you also have to look at the human body, they may also be able to talk to pets, you know, feel very sensitive around animals and plants. They love to be with nature, talk to the plants, and like you said, whenever they get drained, and I know they are exhausted, especially being out in public or they're around somebody that is very depressed. And that's this is one reason why your child may not be able to talk when they're real younger, but they can feel how you're feeling and they start crying and they know that you're sad because they're feeling your energy. So that is what some of the things that parents can see. Now, I I just thought about one more thing. When they get into middle school, they become warriors, they want to help change the world. They became very vocal, they don't care what you think about them a lot of times. Yeah, they'll say their opinion or they'll change their hair color because they're so creative. Not to worry, let them do it and be creative.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I love that. And so, and we are going to get into a lot of ways that we can support our children because to be honest, I think it's very, very common that kids are just naturally connected to spirit. And as we get older, you know, we fall into our beliefs and we kind of lose that. We harden up a little bit here in this physical world. What would what is your knowledge as far as the age of when this does happen with kids?
SPEAKER_02Oh my gosh, we see it. And I remember myself as well. So uh usually it it's it's when they're born. I mean, I infants can actually see, you know, spirits as well.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So up to the age of six, seven is whenever they start wanting to fit in socially, and whenever belief systems start happening and they start seeing different things, they're become self-aware, they're building up their own little personality and making decisions. And um, so about about, I want to say seven is whenever they start.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that's what I've kind of learned as well. And that's why, so I'm currently teaching first grade, and that's why I love this age because they are six going on seven. Um, and so it's interesting. Back when you were teaching, this might be a little tangent. Um, did you ever, were you able to pick up on kids who were maybe more sensitive? I know for me, sometimes it's hard because it's like school is such a crazy place, and you know, I've got such an agenda to do. So I'm a little closed off when I'm in that teaching world. Did you ever have any experiences with children who were either empathic or psychic or relaying messages? Oh, yes.
SPEAKER_02And and just like you, I think that they know who who to choose for the teacher for them to be in your classroom because you understand it. And I know that you like you said, you close off. Sometimes you have to as a teacher because it it can be overwhelming. But yeah, so more than half my class, yes, tell me, tell us, were very sensitive, very psychic, and very hyperactive. And um, I was called the nurturing teacher, so I was able to calm them down whenever they became overly sensitive. So absolutely, and I saw a lot of these symptoms, and many times I would have to use my own energy to calm the classroom down. And you probably know this too. Whenever there was a moon change or a shift in weather, my kids were so sensitive that they the good ones even were bouncing off the walls. But I would have to I treat them not only as a class, but I had to eat treat each child independently uh differently because they were needing so much emotional support and being so so active. And then when I started working with children with autism, each and each one of my children who were diagnosed under the spectrum, they had some sort of psychic ability and intuitiveness about them. And so I really learned how to work with them that way.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah, no, that's amazing. Um, I have not actually worked with a lot of autistic children. We had one student who would push into our classes last year, and I always wanted to spend more time with him because I've heard so much, you know, fascinating research about it. But it was funny, I was walking him outside one time and he was talking to the trees, and I was very in tune with him. And so I, you know, I was listening and I was like trying to learn. And he stopped in front of this tree and he goes, There's a spirit in this tree. He goes, Hello, spirit, and he's talking to the tree. And I'm like, This is the most beautiful thing ever. I want to hang out with you more. But um, that's my one cute story.
SPEAKER_02But see, and you were you were there at the right time to reinforce that for him because you could have, if you were somebody else, you could have said, Oh, you don't see anybody, come on. And you know, then it just shuts him down.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_02And so, yeah, you were perfect.
SPEAKER_00Let's talk about this. Okay, before we get into the support aspect, let's talk a little bit about some of these terms for parents who might not be aware. So we've really just rambled off empath, you know, um, mediumship and psychic work. What is the difference between those terms for people who are kind of learning about this?
SPEAKER_02Oh, absolutely. And I get whenever I used to do readings, I'd have people all the time go, Well, what's the difference? And so I love to give the knowledge out there. So psychic readings, and you know, sometimes people will use cards. People read different ways, and sometimes you don't even need the cards because you're reading, it's a soul-to-soul connection. So, like I would be reading your soul, and people always ask me, you know, questions about, you know, their family, about health, about relationships, about the future events, you know, what decisions they might have to make, and also spiritual. What which direction should I go spiritually? And so you can connect with them, and it's more of an earthbound. It's a it's it's connecting at where they are in life and where they want to go. So it's a soul-to-soul connection. And um, and then mediumship is actually raising, you have to raise your energy, it's almost like an antenna that you're raising your energy and you're connecting with people who have crossed over, you know, loved ones who has passed. And it's almost, I mean, it's channeling, but but mediumship is more for people whenever you're reading and somebody says, I want to connect with my mom. And so that's whenever I go in and I connect in. And it people do mediumship different ways, but for me, I could visualize that it was almost like a movie. Whenever they would tell me something, I could hear their voice, and I could always it was it was like more symbolism. They would give me symbols, and that's where a lot of times the breakdown would happen because I would interpret the symbol differently when what the person could remember. So a lot of times I tell people if you're going in through a mediumship reading, connect in as well with your loved one because you can do that and help the person who's doing the mediumship because y'all are a team working together, getting these memories together. And um, so that's the difference between those two.
SPEAKER_00And then and as far as an empath as well, can you explain what an empath is? I think that's more common. Yes, all empaths. Let's talk about this.
SPEAKER_02Absolutely, absolutely. So, an empath, yes, you can read energies, but you can also feel different emotions, and it can be, and and that's what drains you. And um, like you said, you can feel somebody across the room or in a car, and you know exactly how you they feel. It's like almost when you cut somebody off in a car and you don't you go, I'm sorry, you can feel all this rage. Yeah, that's definitely how an empath does, and an empath is also very sensitive because of this, because they're trying to deal with their own emotions, and then they have other people's emotions at the same time. But yeah, so an empath is really good at picking up energy and also other people's feelings, yeah, and this energy.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and so now let's imagine a child who's very open to spirit. Um, you know, they're feeling everyone's energy, they might be seeing things which can cross over into both mediumship or psychic abilities. So, what are some ways as parents and educators that we can support all of this?
SPEAKER_02The number one thing I tell parents is listen to your child and listen to them without emotion. Because if you if you are fearful, they are going to pick up the fear of it. If if you listen to them and go, well, how can I help you? And whatever questions you have, let me help you. And and that will help them feel supported. That will help them go, you know what, this is not a freaky woo-woo experience. This is something that's happening to me and it is real. And what can I do about it? So, yeah, so number one thing I always tell the parents is to definitely listen to them. And if the child wants to use art, is a fabulous way to show, just like your art ability, to bring out and say, Well, tell it, show me what you see, show me what you feel. And so that's how it gets started, and it can be a domino effect that way. Now, a lot of parents have a fear of, well, what if it goes against my religion? Yes. You know, and and I tell the parents a lot of times, still listen to your child. Again, do not be fearful, but kind of teach them how to deal with it on their own and know, yes, religion is an important part of our family because that's where the family is. And if they and a lot of times I tell the parents, if you want your child to use their intuitiveness when they get a little bit older, spirit is not gonna say, Oh, this is the last time. Just like what you did, you waited until you got older and made that decision. So I tell the parents, if you want to just tell you know the child that you accept them where they are and you're gonna help them. But we're still going to Sunday school, we're still having our religion, and you can choose when you get older what you want to do spiritually.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And and that's not cutting them off, that's still supporting them. Because if they say, Hey, I see somebody, you just, oh, that's great, that's great. But that's another way to deal with it. But a family unit is so important, and that's something that you do have to factor in to decide how to help your child.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I think that's probably one of the biggest conflicts with intention. Intuitive children and religion. And I think that religion is a beautiful thing, but I think that there's a way that we can intertwine it. And I and I, to be honest, I mean, that's the way I see religion is, you know, we've got angels and guides and supports and whatever terminology you want to use. And I know that that there's different branches of religion too. But I I love what you said is to continue supporting your child. Art is a great thing. We'll talk about that some more in a minute. You know, show me what you what you saw, show me what you felt. But I think fear is the biggest thing that can. Here's the thing with fear. It's like when we're fearful of something, especially when we're teaching children, and then if they if they see this gift that they have as something fearful, from my experience, I believe that's actually going to create more negativity around that child. Because when we are fearful of things, we're constantly thinking about them and then we're projecting more fear, right? And we can get into this. Let's get into this conversation a little bit. You know, when we're talking about manifesting and pulling energy in, your frequency is what's going to be magnified. And so if we're always living in this fear-based mindset of everything, we're now magnifying a lot of that dense energy. And when I say dense energy, no, it doesn't have to be an entity or something. But just, you know, mindsets and negativity around us. And I don't think that's a very um it it's hard to grow as a child if you're living in this negative space and your fear of things. What is your opinion on all of this?
SPEAKER_02Oh, I love it. Absolutely. Yes and yes and yes. Because I was that child. I was that child because I grew up in a very conservative uh town. Very, you know, we had three universities that were Christian, you know, sectors. Yeah. And so very in an Air Force town on top of that. So very, very, you know, very strict in that area. And um, yes, and so I became fearful of it, just like my friend said, don't open that door. And when I was younger, my mom would even say, you know, that's the devil coming in. That's the devil coming in.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And so that's a and so I really, you know, even growing up, as I got older and when I decided to go into spiritual work, I still had that belief system in the back of my head, you know, like the devil sitting on my shoulder saying, Don't do it, don't do it. But but I finally got through that. And it is, it's a lot of work to get through it. And so if we can teach a child not to be fearful that they are in control of what happens and they won't have what I had to go through. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Not so much. So um, you know, we went to church every once in a while because that's what we thought we were supposed to do. My mom was like an artist hippie. My my dad, he's just kind of neutral. Uh, he was a big forester, so he was a big woodsman guy. And so that's how, you know, I got my love of both nature and art, which is, I think, a beautiful combination um to get into spirituality. But yeah, we we really didn't have to face much of that. And, you know, when I was young, like I didn't really even think about some of this stuff. My biggest thing was I was afraid at night. And um, and when I would, it was funny because so now in my in my age, you know, I've I've I'm a teacher. I I spent 10 years in the ghost tour business here in St. Augustine. It's the oldest town, there's lots of history. And it really wasn't until I would say I got into the ghost tour business that I started to think about this stuff. And I started remembering all of these experiences as a child that I would go through. You know, when I would run to my parents' bedroom in the middle of the night, I knew, okay, there's someone over here by the couch, there's someone over here in the laundry room. Um, and to be honest, they were probably like ancestors or someone in the house, right? But I I never really thought about those experiences until I got older. Again, it was just all sports. It was like sports, sports, sports every weekend, you know, that we were that family, me and my brother. And so I think that kept us pretty grounded, which as I was mentioning was part of my purpose at that time in my life. And then as I got older, I'm totally supposed to be reintroduced to all of this. So um, but we were talking about what were we talking about? The um oh, having to deal with having to deal with um, you know, negativity with it. Yeah, I I really I did not have to go through um those negative beliefs, which I think has helped me because something that I have, I would say, an easy time doing is connecting with spirit guides and angels. And I'm still learning, uh, but I just I'm very drawn to it. And I think because I didn't have to go through a lot of those negative belief systems, I think I'm kind of just vibrating on that frequency that the angels and guides live on. Um, and I think that that's something I am supposed to work with. And so, yeah, I I think, you know, as parents, if we are able to support our children, and this doesn't even have to be about spirituality, I mean, with anything that our kids want to do, whether it be a sport or a hobby, um, I think the more that we can support them, I think they're gonna find themselves faster and they're gonna find the right way easier. And I think it's just gonna really help them blossom into who they're meant to be. But when we come in with these fear-based beliefs, which is valid, right? You know, when we're scared, we we want to protect ourselves and our little ones, I think um it can do a lot more harm than good. What are your thoughts on that?
SPEAKER_02Oh, absolutely, and I intend to agree. And and again, I think they need to know the knowledge. Yeah, you know, if you're afraid of it, get find the knowledge because that's what what really helped me is understanding it better and knowing how to work with it. And that that really helped me not be so fearful whenever I started feeling, and it's so interesting because now I I don't feel it as strong. They don't have to get my attention like they used to. And so now, whenever I connect in, I connect in whenever I need to or whenever I'm with a client. And and and I know that they're there still, but I think there for a while they try to get your attention saying, you know what, go with the flow. Don't, you know, have faith, it's all going to work out. Um, we're human, we're gonna be fearful in the beginning. But I think the more knowledge and power that you have, you'll accept it much more.
SPEAKER_00And I also think there's something to be said about holding a positive mindset and perspective. And I feel like that word positive, you know, that's kind of kind of gotten washed over over the years. But when we talk about working with our shadows, and shadows can be things that we're fearful of. They can be things that we refuse to look at within ourselves, and this is now talking for our parents here. You know, if we refuse to look at those things that we're fearful of, they're gonna have a hold on us. But if we can look at these things that we might be fearful of, I think it kind of uh dis dismantles the fear itself. When we look at fear, what is there to really be fearful of? And I think these questions are things that we should all be asking ourselves as we continue on on our journey of life. And especially parents being able to work with their own shadows and their own fear, I think that is going to allow your child to not either to not have to do so or to be able to look at theirs as they're going older as well. So that's just something I wanted to say. Um, you know, a strong mindset is your protection.
SPEAKER_02And you know what's interesting is the parents go through a lot of healing and ancestral healing of what's been passed down. Um, they might find out that they are also intuitive. Yeah. Also a medium.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And who knows where that may lead.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's a beautiful gift. What do you think is like what do you think is a benefit, the benefit of living a spiritual lifestyle? How can this help us?
SPEAKER_02Oh my gosh, because you get to know who you truly are. And once you find out who you truly are, you accept yourself more and you don't look at more earthly problems, you don't look at what other people are doing, your heart chakra opens up more and you find your own love of who and you remember who you are because when we come to this earth, we actually forget who we are for a purpose. And because we've got so many lessons to learn on earth, and but as we open up our heart chakra, we remember who we truly are spiritually.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I love that. Yeah, I think that's very important. I do want to talk back about boundaries for a minute. Um, you know, we were talking about protecting ourselves, whether it be mindset or our children when they're afraid at night, or just waking up in the day and going to school. How important are boundaries? What does that even mean? And what can kids do and parents do to help support their children with this?
SPEAKER_02Boundaries are very important because children, like you said, have all this energy and they're like an antenna in the lighthouse, and spirits will find them because they have so much energy. And just like I was explaining the story of whenever I was watching a movie and a spirit came in, yes, that was not the time to talk to me. Okay, so so yeah, so so children um need to also put up boundaries and parents too, because that is their house. So if a child is trying to sleep at night, it is always good for the child to say, you know what? I am not here to play right now. If you want to play, it's during the day. Right now, I need to go to sleep. So you're setting those boundaries, you're letting spirit know when they can come out and play and talk to you. And um so clearing out the room is something that you can do to set boundaries. And you can do, and parents can do this with sage, they can do it with just all different meats with crystals, uh, with spray. And and as the child is spraying the room with with the clearing spray, and I always tell parents to get a little bottle so that they can do this. They say, right now, I don't want to play, I need some sleep. And they can also do that at school. So whenever they're feeling other people's feelings, what they can do is set a boundary for themselves, like pretend like they're in an astronaut suit and they're not feeling anybody's feelings at that time. And they're just saying, no, I only want to feel my myself. So, um, so yes. So just like parents have to set rules and boundaries for their child, the child and parent need to set boundaries for spirit.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I love that. The power of speech. Let's talk a little bit about that. Um, you know, we see it in prayer. Is it really that simple to just proclaim this is my space, you're not coming in? Can you talk a little bit about that? Yes. And maybe how confidence plays a role in that.
SPEAKER_02Oh my goodness, because that brings you power. It grounds the child. So if the and it's really important too for the parent to be a part of it whenever they're setting a routine with their child, whenever they're saying prayers. Prayers and affirmations are the most powerful, powerful thing you can do whenever you're making boundaries or anything with the universe, because you're sending out, you're almost manifesting it, you're setting out with your word, you're using frequency, and you're you're feeling very, very powerful. And that's where the Bible can come in. Because you know, people that are have so much faith and they hold the Bible, that just brings out some type of energy, you know, that is so powerful. It's almost like when you go to church and you're seeing, hearing people sing and they're singing, and you're feeling that energy just radiate. There's nothing more powerful. That's basically the same thing you're doing whenever you pray with a child and you're doing an affirmation because that gives them the power. The spirit does not have power over you. You have your own power to be in control. If you do not want your intuitiveness, if you my minister, I actually went to my minister and I said, I don't know what to do. I feel like I'm hearing voices, I'm going crazy. And my minister said, pray. Tell them that you are not ready. Tell them that you don't want any connection right now. And I did, and they left me alone. So you are the powerhouse of how you want your spiritual journey to go. If it goes too fast, say, wait a minute, I need to go back.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And they will until you are ready. Until you're ready. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Ask and you shall receive. Yes. Um, and I love also as we speak, being able, I think this is great to teach children to feel what you're asking for. So I actually I think about this often. When I was younger, I would pray every night. Um, and I remember it it must have been like a download or my spirit guide was there or whatever. But I remember very vividly knowing if I pray, like for example, when I'm tired, and it was kind of like I didn't have a lot of energy in it, I would just kind of go through the words, you know. I remember my spirit teaching myself, I can't under, I can't explain it. It was in the knowing saying, like, Stacy, if you like that's fine, okay, say your prayers because you're tired. But if you can actually embody what you're saying and feel it and project it as you say it, that's when it really can be powerful and make a difference. That's when I'm exuding that energy of the prayer. And I remember learning this from my spirit team as a young child, and it's something that I always carried with me. It brings you peace.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it really does. And like you said, you you start to feel the um angelic, you know, your spirit, God, spirit coming in. And it's very interesting because right now I am actually getting um what I call little nudges. It's like a little electricity going through my head. Yes, meaning that this is an important topic to talk about. So it's almost like your higher self, God divine, is talking. Yes, and that's what you start feeling. And you're going, oh my gosh, I love these nudges. Yes.
SPEAKER_00No, it's almost a reinforcement. Let's talk about the nudges. When I get my nudges, um, I and and there's so many things I want to talk about. Um, I get I get the chills, you know, going through, and I've now made it be a thing. So this is something important to talk about. Like I've put an intention, Spirit, when I get those goosebumps, that's my confirmation from you. Or, like you said, this is something important to talk about. Or when I start talking um about some of these topics, I get excited. I can feel my energy raise a little. Um, and then I'll get like a little tremble in my jaw. These are certain nudges that I have when I know I'm connected, I should say. Um let's talk, I want to talk about the clairs a little bit. What are some ways that kids might perceive energy or feel energy? And how does it work for you? I know that you and I have kind of talked about it. So you you're a feeler, but let's go through the clairs and then as we go through them, maybe share which ones you're more strong.
SPEAKER_02Well, and it's very, very interesting because it changes. Okay. So spirit can change. All right. So um, your very first one, and that and I've got a cheat sheet because I usually just say knowing. I don't say the clairs, but it's called, you know, different clairs, but I want to be more specific. So clericognizance is when knowing. This is usually the first clear that everybody has, okay, is the knowing, like what we were talking about.
SPEAKER_00Oh, go ahead. And real quick, I just want to say clears for everyone listening. If you're not familiar, these are our energetic senses. So we have the five senses. I can see, hear, feel, touch, taste you, but then we also have energetic senses. So that's what we're going through now. Okay, so continue. I can tell you're an educator to teach everything.
SPEAKER_02I think it's great. That's great because that way it really helps them. Yeah. Okay. Um, so clair sentience is where we have the feeling, okay, that we know not only know, but we can feel things around us. Okay. Now I love this clairvoyant is when you have vision, and it's usually in your third eye. And this is where I'm really strong, the strongest right now, is you start seeing symbols and you're going, what was that? It's almost like a movie playing in your head, and it and they repeat, believe it or not. And you really need to write all that down. Yes. Clear audiences when you hear it, okay. When you hear things like dear medium shift, whenever I'm talking to somebody, I can actually hear it, or some people can hear different sounds, like symbol, uh, like uh instruments. So it's so different for everybody. Clara scent scent is smelling, okay. Like you start smelling that smoke, like you had a grandfather who smoked a cigar, and you can smell a cigar smoke. A lot of people don't have it, it kind of develops through time, or you have it very strong. Uh, clarigustance is taste. A lot of mediums can, if somebody dies or uh gets shot, they can taste like gunpowder in their in their mouth. Yeah, and okay, so then claritangency is when you can touch something. This is where my weak point is. Some people can put old objects into their hand and they start knowing something about the person who owned this object. Or they go like your ghost tour, okay, like your ghost tour. If you could they can go into a building, touch the wall, and they can see visions or or get knowledge about the the building. Yes, and then clear empathy, and we've already talked about that, is where you you start feeling other people's feelings, sensations, and and a lot of times when when people bring a loved one over and when somebody has died, they can actually, or they are let's put it this way, if they're in hospice and they can feel them dying, they can they can sense and they can feel what they're feeling. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00When you were younger, what did it look like for you? Has that changed?
SPEAKER_02You mentioned oh, it's changed quite a bit. Yeah, so I really had the feeling, okay, because I could feel I was very much of an empath. I had the knowing as well. Uh the visions and the hearing came whenever I was in my 20s. And I think as I began to work more with spirit and with mediumship, that really got stronger.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And now since I'm channeling, all of that comes together.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I um I would say I would be, I was a feeler when I was younger. And I I say I'm pretty similar now that I'm working with it. Um, also, something I didn't mention too. Um, when you were explaining children who are sensitive and you talked a little bit about dream work, that was something that was really big for me. I love the dream space. I actually teach classes now, if you guys are interested. Hop over to my website. Um, and I I would love to start working with kids more in this. It'll develop one day. But, you know, the dream space, I think it was because I was an artist, I would draw and paint. My dreams still to this day were so vivid. I mean, I can tell you dreams I've had when I was three, still now today. I could tell you all of them. Um, and so it's interesting learning to interpret those dreams is very similar to how mediums would speak to spirits in these days. You know, you would see things that they're very symbolic. And I think that that's important when we're learning to speak to spirit, is that we have to understand the symbolism behind it. Um, let's get into art a little bit more. So you had mentioned a really great way for kids to advocate all of these feelings and things that they might be seeing is through art. And your book, you have a book that you've written, Spiritual Nurturing for Intuitive Children. You have some really fun little worksheet in the back. Can you talk a little bit about art as far as um maybe some different activities? Did you ever use art in the classroom with oh, all the time. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I did. I was one teacher that really I love to see, because I love to see their creativity from a child's point of view because they were so fresh.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And um, and I think it's important for a child to do art at a young age because for me, you know, they'd always go, oh, that's not really good.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And so, yeah, so I didn't as an adult dive into it. But even, I mean, the youngest child can draw whatever they see. And again, it gives them that authority and they're sharing something with you. And you can, you know, and you can write for them if they're not able to write, but get that those paints out and crayons or whatever, and get them to draw and really look at what colors that they choose because colors are so important, and like what you were saying, the symbols. And you can also make it into, you know, they can make a newscast of what they what they drew and talk about it on camera so that they have it later. You know, you may lose the picture, but you'll always have that. Um, but um, and they can make puppets a Well, so that's a piece of art and show the conversation of what um their imaginary friend showed. Some people some children can see auras around people. So you can give them a sheet of a per of a person and with lines around it and say, okay, show me what color colors that you see around this person. And some children can also see medical problems or like dark holes or whatever in somebody's aura. And they can pinpoint that by marking an X, which is so fascinating. They may say, I see colors, but all of a sudden I see something dark. That's actually something medical that they're seeing. I love that. Yeah. So they can also also do that. Now, as they get older, and I love doing this with adults, um, is you you have all your paint color tubes out, and you hover over whatever color that you want to start out with, your base, okay? And you pick one just out of curiosity, you know, pick pick one, and then you put a little dot on a canvas and move it around and really connect in with spirit. Even children middle school and high school can do this, even elementary. I can see doing this, and and then see, well, what is spirit trying to show me? And see what picture you can make out of it. It may be abstract and you may use different colors, but really get it connected with spirit. See if you can get those chills that you have, and and and that way and get a symbol or a message from it. And it's very interesting. I did that, I drew my first uh Indian, Native American Indian, and I think it was a spirit guide that came out, so you just never know. Um so so just art in itself and decide what colors, um, they can also uh draw a lot of times they'll draw somebody from out of this world, yeah, you know, a star seed, or you know, and so don't be shocked when they do. Yeah. So those are some of the things that they can do.
SPEAKER_00What do you think is the connection between creativity and our and and and spirit? Like what between imagination and creativity. Let's talk a little bit about the dynamic of this because I think it's so important.
SPEAKER_02It's a hundred percent spiritual.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So, yes. So whenever you're creating, and a lot of times, you know, I love whenever we say, oh, that's not your imaginary friend, that that's something in your imagination. And I'm going, well, it could be. But but spiritual is 100% imaginative, it's a hundred percent creative, because on the other end, you have logic, and logic is more of the masculine energy when people are nitpicking things or trying to say, like your ghost horses, going, oh, I know that something scientifically happened, even science is beginning to break down. Crossover. Yeah, yeah, it's a crossover. But a lot of people have that logic mind, and it's the ego that's coming into play. And the ego tries to protect us, tries to make sense of everything. But if you put the ego aside and say, you know what, I'm gonna look at my imagination, I want to run with it because faith, what is faith? Yes, faith is letting go, faith is imaginative, is really trusting something that you cannot see. And so that's where the difference is. And my first spiritual teacher, she said, when you're doing mediumship, she said, your logic, and it is your logic mind gets in the way, and you can't not connect with with a loved one. So what you do is whatever comes to mind, whatever vision you have, just go with it. That's why you need to practice and do first with somebody that you can that won't put you down, will go with it and go, you know what? Oh, I don't that doesn't make any sense, but it may make sense this way, so that you can figure out how to work with it and putting your ego on the side. And meditation can help with that. And children, children don't have a problem with it, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Right, because they're not in their mindsets or beliefs yet.
SPEAKER_02Exactly. Their ego's not quite there, and they're very impulsive. Yeah, and and so, which I absolutely love. So, yeah, but but adults can harm that too at the same time.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, trust has been the biggest thing for me in my development. I remember, um, I talked about this on my other channel, but when I was first uh diving into all of this, and and I really was working on my intuition to help me live a more balanced life, to help me, you know, it's like a natural way that we can tap in and receive love and guidance and all of this stuff. And um, my my mind would always get in the way. Oh, you didn't really think that. And so I made this pact with myself and I said, you know what? For two weeks, I think I heard it on a podcast or something, I said, for two weeks, I am going to trust everything that I see, since, hear, feel. And I stuck by it and it was hard. But since then, I feel like I am so much more open. I receive so much more guidance and wisdom. And okay, let's play it out. Let's play out um, oh, you that you didn't really see something or that you did make it up. Well, when you continue to play out that thought, okay, but you are now still receiving beautiful guidance, information, help, whether it be from your imagination or from an angel or loved one or guide, it doesn't really matter. So let's go ahead and trust it and receive the beautiful message and receive the um, you know, the healing that we're getting and guidance. And so that was really what helped me was just that little shift to be able to tap in and receive. Because I think I agree with you. We block ourselves from receiving. And whether it be fear or logic, you know, these things are going to stifle us from being able to use a gift that I believe we all are in tune with. It's just more of a choice and an awareness, I think.
SPEAKER_02I love that. And whenever I was talking about the masculine, kind of backing up as a teacher. Yeah. So you have the masculine energy and you have female energy. And the masculine energy is very logical, it is more of a form base, you know, a box. Yeah. Let's just put it that way. And or our body is is, you know, um male energy because it's a form. And then our spirit, our soul is the imaginative, so it's more fluid and that and energetically. And so to have, you know, spirit in a human body, you have to have both male and female energy.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and I think that's a great point to bring up. You know, when I was first learning about all of this, you hear masculine energy and feminine energy, and it's very common that we think it's male and female, but we need both. It has nothing to do with male or female. It you're right, it's the creative right brain, and then it's the logical left brain. And we do need both. You know, we're living in this physical world. We need logic, we need organization, we need structure, but we also need the fluidity to move through it and to be able to receive, like we said. So, yeah, I love that. I think it's all so important. Um, how can we help our kids who so let's talk about like the hyperactive child. What are some things we can do to help them ground and focus a little bit? One thing I love that you were, we were starting to get into is you were talking, we were talking about boundaries and protection. And I love the astronaut suit because that's a visualization we can do. What are some ways that we can ground um these children who may have a lot of that energy? What are some things we can do to help them?
SPEAKER_02To really help ground. And I, oh my goodness, hyperactive children. Yeah, and you've got to see what works. So I don't uh the tools that we're going to tell you, don't get frustrated if it does not work for your child. You know, you've got to find out what really works. So I only I love breathing because whenever you know the child is getting in this energy and they don't know how to ground themselves, breathing really brings down the energy so that they can anchor themselves. And so there's different breathing exercises you can do. And I love the Hoberman's sphere. Okay, the Hoberman Sphere you can get at Michaels, you can get it at Amazon, and it's very kids just love it. And sometimes they'll do this, you know, they'll play with it, which is fine. But really, it's like a visual breathing exercise. So you put the sphere in your hands and you go, okay, when you're breathing in, you're opening it up because the sphere is getting bigger. And then you hold your breath for four, and you can count with them one, two, three, four, and then go down. So it's a visual way that they can see it go open and close, and they're concentrating on it, and it's very visual, it's very colorful, and they learn how to do it themselves. You eventually take away and you practice it, but make it into a game, anything that you do. Um, and also um, I love the energy ball, also brings them down and grounds them. So you say, okay, you've got like a basketball in your hand. It's energy, and you're we're going to put all this energy and color into the world. What color do we want? We want red. Okay. So let's let's make it into a ball. You have a red energy ball. Now put it near your heart, take a deep breath and send it out to the universe. So that kind of helps them ground and know how to work with their energy and get rid of some of that energy, make it into an energy ball and let others have part of what they have. Um, meditation is good, so it's almost like we used to say timeout should be the age of when you decide on the minutes. So if they're six, they can do meditation for six minutes and they're again breathing, and mom needs to do it with them. And and mom may also need to put her hand on their back to have some type of grounding for them to help ground them, but it really clears their mind. And um also with in not incense, but sprays. Um, um, I'm trying to think, it's not indigo. There, there's different sprays that lavender lavender, yes. Thank you. Um, you can spray, even teachers can spray lavender on the desk, and it will help calm because it's the the sensory. Um, and just again, breathing exercises to help calm them. To ground them, get their socks off, have them walk around on grass, natural grass and dirt. They can get dirty, and that's really grounding themselves. That's it there. I know there is an earthling, I think is the name of it. Is what they're doing is a technique is walking around, moving. I love the name, but the let them move behind you. Yes, a lot of movement. They need their movement, they need their boundaries, but really setting a timer for different things will help also ground them on different activities. Um, but again, they will find their way and they will show you what they truly need, but you have to listen um to help anchor them.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I think that's the best piece of advice for parents and educators is listen to the kid, let them lead, because to be honest, they're the ones who are probably very connected right now at their young age, you know. Absolutely. And our systems, we know what to do. Um, another thing I thought I wanted to touch that was so important was you were talking about parents doing this kind of stuff with our kids. Can we just briefly mention talk talk about this real quick again? What are the benefits of parents doing this with our children?
SPEAKER_02Uh, the number one thing is really feeling the love and the caring and the connection is so important. Because if a child goes, oh, I mean, a parent goes, oh, go meditate for five minutes, you know, it's not really supporting them. You need to be with them because anything spiritual is so important to go through with somebody. And you grow so much as a family. And I know growing up, I heard, well, well, families that go to church together will stay together. Yeah. And it's almost basically the same thing. Or when a mom or dad does homework with a child, you are supporting them. And and just, and like you said, you find out what they really love and you support them. But it's very, very important to be able to go through this process with them. And you will grow as much. You may start feeling things, and you might start experiencing things that you want to develop. And I think it would be important for you to tell this to your child as well of what you're experiencing.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And then you guys can have that dialogue together and grow together. Um, I love that. And I think it's important, you know, if families do have a religious background, bring that into it. You know, find a way that they can work together. Because at the end of the day, I think everything does work together. And I think the way we see things and the terminology that we use, you know, make it unique to you, make it fit your family. I think that's important. Um, so yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. So yeah, with the Bible and everything, a lot of the terminology, a lot of the things that we look at are very spiritual. We just change, you know, you'll have two different philosophies that you're talking about, and you're talking about the same things because they're saying different words. Yes. So, you know, so that yeah, so you got to look at it from different perspectives and you can weave it in. Yeah. Absolutely. Absolutely. I love that.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I agree. All right, Miss Michelle. Well, is there anything else that you think would be important to talk about that maybe we missed, or uh anything else that you didn't get to that you want to bring up for parents or educated?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so the one thing that um that parents do, and which I'm I'm I understand this completely, is when you know your child is intuitive and is receiving messages from angels, you want more. You know, you want your child to really develop it. But allow again your child to take charge. If they don't want to continue, they want to be a normal child. And when I say normal, I don't think there is normacy. But if they want to be with their friends, instead of doing something spiritual, allow them because that is spiritual for them. But but don't take it and try to develop something. Your child needs to take the front seat for that and just accept them for who they are. If they're not intuitive, they're you know, they they will use it later if they want to. And if they are not intuitive, it's okay. You know, you can show them the way they can be their own person. And um, that's the truth of who they truly are. Because when they find out who they truly are is when the knowledge starts coming in.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Everybody has a special gift, and we all have to find what that is, and everybody's differences are what makes the world go around.
SPEAKER_02Absolutely.
SPEAKER_00Yes. All right, Michelle. Well, share with us real quick what are you doing these days? Do you have services, classes? Are you writing any more books? What is your life looking like right now?
SPEAKER_02Um, right now I am spirit is actually it's so interesting that we we talk about spirit changing things and developing us for service. And so right now I am being reset. So I'm not offering any services until I think it'll probably early of next year. So I'm like, you know, and I'm not writing a book because I want what comes next to be really aligned with what needs to be done here on earth right now with energy work. So and I think that's where it's leading is more energy work. Um, and so that's what I'm doing, and I'm meditating and I'm praying and I'm, you know, doing all reaching out with spirituality and I'm spending time with my family until I get that little nudge to carry on, to move on.
SPEAKER_00I love that. That's important, the sacred pause, right? Yes. I struggle with that because I'm always going, going, going. And yeah, you know, I tell myself, okay, it's time to slow down. It's it's okay to have large breaks where you're not doing anything and our systems are healing and we're receiving again. And so I think that's a beautiful place to be.
SPEAKER_02Absolutely. Absolutely. Well, thank you so much for allowing me to have this conversation with you.
