Hello everyone, I hope you've had a beautiful week. In today's episode, we're going to talk about why you've experienced a change in your personality after undergoing an ego degradation. This can be not only scary but hard to navigate through. After all, you've just finished healing all of this deeply rooted stuff, and now you can't seem to get back to who you believed yourself to be. So let's talk about why this is happening and what you can do to move forward from here. When you have an ego degradation, it breaks down the fabric of what the ego thinks it knows and pulls back the curtain to show what's really there. This is why we have symptoms such as dissociation, premonitions, not understanding words anymore, feeling misunderstood by everyone, unwelcome memories of unhealed traumas, beginning to see the falsity and duality, pointlessness, and the plethora of other things that can and do happen. In our everyday lives, the ego creates our perceived reality. So for the ego to understand this, I'm going to give the egoic opposites of what the ego creates and how these ego degradation symptoms challenge that. The ego creates a sense of materialization, which is why we dissociate. The ego creates belief that only what it can experience with its senses are real, which is why we have premonitions. The ego creates sublimation tactics and trauma responses, which is why we have unwelcome memories of unhealed trauma. The ego obviously creates duality via thoughts, concepts, words, etc. And this is why we begin to see the falsity in duality. And the ego searches nonstop for a point to everything, which is why we experience pointlessness. Though I'm explaining these symptoms as opposite of what the ego is, that doesn't mean they're dualistic concepts. It means that when you have an ego degradation, all of the things that the ego has created and attempts to create is shown as perception. It's not about saying the opposite of duality is one, but instead, duality is a concept that is perceived by the ego because there is only one, which is the true you, creating many perceived others who are also one, but their egos create what they believe to be many. It's seeing the big picture, it's looking at things from a macro perspective. So with this, we can now understand that whatever personality your ego has created for you, such as female, emotionally strong and likes to bake, male intelligent and likes to play video games, non-binary, caring and likes to jog, these things aren't real. They're preferences, they're programmed beliefs, they're identifications with the body. You are not your personality, nor your body, nor where you come from, nor your traumas, nor your victories, nor your intelligence, nor your family. You are me and I am you. You are them and they are you. You are it and it is you. You are all. It's the ego that makes you think you're different, or alone, or special, or separate. Now that you've come out of your ego degradation, your ego is perceiving itself as different. Your friends say that they don't like who you are anymore. Your family tries to guilt trip you. Your parents don't recognize you. People keep telling you how you used to be and asking, why aren't you that way anymore? And you truly have no idea. You've just gone through something terrifying and now you don't recognize yourself. But be careful here, because when the ego doesn't like itself, it begins to hate itself. Your ego has changed because it has been shown that it's not real, it's not in control, it's not the ruling force of everything, and your personality has changed because it was a house built on sand. Who your ego is now is not who you are, and you finally know that. But with that comes an undercurrent of fear, because what happens if you go through another ego degradation and your ego changes again? The more severe your ego degradation is, however, the less your personality will change moving forward, even throughout other smaller ego degradations. Instead, you will see new things, learn new things, realize new things, and understand what's happening. The more you resist your ego's new personality, the more you will struggle. If you no longer see the point in baking cookies for your family on Sunday afternoons, then accept that. If you no longer like your job, that's okay. Maybe it's time for a change. And if you no longer can tolerate everyone dumping their problems on you, then honor that. You have done nothing wrong. In fact, in egoic terminology, you have done everything right. You have gone through an ego degradation, you have come out on the other side being different and seeing things in a different perspective, and now other people are simply pissed off that you're not what they expect or think they know you to be. Don't get me wrong, it's difficult to be close to someone only to have them be a completely different person upon waking the next day. But at some point, these same egos will also have to grow and change, and they'll be faced with the exact same things. You have gone through an ego degradation, and now your personality is different. That's it. You also now get to reprogram your ego and your personality the way you want them to be. The more you fight against it, the harder it will be for you, and the more trauma responses you'll acquire. You have just fought a war with yourself, and your city may not look the same as it did before the war, but now you can plant some flowers and watch how beautiful they become. You've got this and you're doing great. Until next week, all of my best and highest vibrations to you.
