Hello everyone, I hope you've had a beautiful week. In today's episode, we're going to be discussing whether your thoughts affect your karma, whether positive thoughts create positive karma, or whether negative thoughts create negative karma. In actuality, I'm going to explain to you the inherent issue with the concept of karma and how perspective is what's actually affecting you. When you have something come your way that you perceive as negative, doesn't mean that it's a universal truth, since duality is simply a construct of the ego. You cannot have a negatively denoted thing happen to you unless there is a positively denoted thing that is the opposite. Not to mention, that perceived negative thing can ultimately turn into a positively perceived notion. For example, let's say that you're house hunting and you find your dream house. You put in an offer and it's rejected due to a higher offer from another buyer. You believe that you're never going to find another house as perfect, but alas, a month later you find one even better. You put an offer in on that house and your offer is rejected. You still have a fairly positive outlook. Well, this happened before and I found an even better house. So the universe is on my side and I'll find another better house. But lo and behold, the third house you find and put an offer in for is again rejected and sells for only $10,000 more than you bid. You begin to wonder if the higher self is on your side or if you instead have bad karma that's not allowing you to move forward in this area of your 3D life. No other house comes on the market that you like. You sit in your old apartment for three months complaining to your partner that you just want to be able to find a house that you'll both be happy in and for someone to actually accept your offer. You must have bad karma because in the past three months, not only have you not had any offers accepted on the houses that you wanted or been able to find another house that you like, but you also have had debt pile up. And now your ability to purchase a house in the same price range as before is not available. What is going on? What did you do to attract this negative karma? Nothing. Because six months later the housing market crashes and you're able to purchase a house for two-thirds of the price than the ones that you put in offers on before, giving you the ability to both pay off your debt and move into a house that you love. Your perspective changed over and over again in this story, but you ended up with everything working in your favor. Remember that the higher self is leading you in certain things regarding divine timing. If you don't get the house you want, it's because you're not meant to have it. If you get a divorce, it's because you're no longer growing and learning within your marriage. If someone close to you dies, it's because there are lessons there that you are meant to learn. If something negatively perceived occurs, it's because you're looking at it through a negative lens. This doesn't mean you should flip the script and utilize toxic positivity with everything. But it is important for me to remind you that when the ego is attached to things that leave or aren't gained, the ego has a propensity to make everything surrounding seem negative as well. When you remember that everything is fleeting, including emotions, and it's safe to submit to the higher self because it always has your back, you won't be as attached to things and therefore won't view them as positive or negative when they occur. There are two things that can occur when you hold on to the belief that karma exists and runs your life. The first is that you will utilize it as a spiritual bypassing mechanism. Meaning, if something happens that you perceive as negative, you'll say, oh, it's bad karma, and not do the work to heal or change the perspective. That we don't generally talk about good karma should be a sort of proof to this statement, because we rarely say things such as, oh, I nailed that interview because I have good karma. Instead, we did well in the interview because we prepared for it or we have enough experience to do well in an interview. So when we throw around terms such as, I didn't get the job because I have bad karma, karma in itself is being utilized as spiritual bypassing. There's nothing you can do about it, it just is. The second thing that occurs when you hold on to the belief that karma exists and runs your life is that you become paranoid about your own thoughts. It's akin to worrying that you're going to manifest negatively perceived things if you think something negative. Your thoughts are just thoughts. You cannot manifest with thoughts and you do not create karma with thoughts. This is a very religious ideation. And if you're glued to this idea that your thoughts create karma or manifest things, you're instead going to create a habit within the brain that becomes obsessive-compulsive regarding your own thoughts. In the end, karma is a perspective based on dualistic principles created by the ego. What is negative to your ego and viewed as karma may not be negative to another ego, so to chalk it up to karma is simply showcasing the falsity in duality. Until next week, all of my best and highest vibrations to you.
