You Can't Fix the People You Love

For most of my life, I’ve identified as the strong one. The ambitious one. The one who sees potential everywhere.
But recently, I’ve had to gently confront something uncomfortable — sometimes helping isn’t just love… sometimes it’s control.
In this episode, I’m sharing what I’ve been learning about the fixer identity, especially within my family. We’re talking about:
• The pressure of being “the strong one”
• Why growth can feel lonely
• How helping can quietly turn into controlling
• Letting go of responsibility for other people’s evolution
• Holding boundaries without managing everyone around you
This isn’t about blaming anyone. It’s about taking responsibility for the role I’ve played and learning how to love deeply without trying to fix.
If you’re the ambitious one in your family… this episode is for you.
As always, we’ll close with journal prompts to help you reflect and grow.
Keep thriving on the journey 🤍
