I would love to hear from you! Send me a text.

this quick and hilarious 4-minute bonus episode, I’m joined by my favorite 5th grader, Maddie Jo, for a rapid-fire round of Would You Rather – 5th Grade Edition.

We’re talking school lunches vs. recess, group projects vs. solo work, fashion trends, friendships, and the very serious life decisions only a 5th grader can make. Maddie answers with confidence, sass, and just enough wisdom to remind us that growing up doesn’t mean losing your spark.

It’s light, it’s fun, and it’s a sweet little snapshot of this season of life — because these are the moments that become the memories.

Let's start this episode with one goal. Make your day better than it was five minutes ago. This is Champaign Smiles and Magical Miles, and I'm your host, Stephanie Parks. If you're new here, welcome. I'm really glad you're here. If you're returning, welcome home. Whether you're a runner, a Disney adult, a busy parent, a dream chaser, or someone just craving a little more intention in your life, you're in the right place. And this is not a Matty Joe takeover. This is fifth grade edition of Would You Rather? Matty Joe! Come on over. Are you ready for this? Sure. What are you doing?

SPEAKER_01

I'm playing with the foot.

SPEAKER_00

Of course you are. Have a seat. I have some questions for you. I feel like Mr. Rogers with my sweater. All right. Have you ever played Would You Rather? Yeah. All right, let's go. We're gonna do speed round. Okay. Fifth grade edition. Would you rather? Would you rather wear a uniform backwards all day or give a presentation with no notes? Backwards all day. Honestly, same. Sit next to the loudest boy in class or take a surprise math test. Surprise math test. You would rather say that says a lot. Boys are annoying. Would you rather have slime explode in your backpack or drop your lunch tray in the cafeteria? Drop my lunch tray.

SPEAKER_01

That's a bold choice. That slime is never gonna get out. And I've already jumped my dropped my lunch many times.

SPEAKER_00

It's just one of the I would draw. How many kids drop a lunch tray every day? It's so much. Teachers are like, what are you doing? Why do you keep dropping lunch trays? Because we're fifth graders. Who's fifth graders? It happened. But slime in a backpack, it's devastating. You're never gonna eat a house thing. Would you rather be a teacher for a day or a principal for a day? A principal for a day.

SPEAKER_01

I'm gonna make all the decisions. What's the first rule you would make? All recess, all day recess.

SPEAKER_00

Duck. Of course you would. Would you rather have to answer every single question in class or never raise your hand for the whole week? Never raise my hand.

SPEAKER_01

I knew it. Because I feel like if I don't know the question, it'd just be weird. It'd be awkward.

SPEAKER_00

Because I'd be like uh Would you rather be late to school with messy hair or forget your homework at home? Forget my homework. Obviously. Relatable. Would you rather sit by yourself at lunch or sit with a teacher? Sit with a teacher.

SPEAKER_01

That's actually kind of iconic. A hard one. Oh, snow TV. Because I don't like doing homework. It's not very responsible. But if I don't have money TV.

SPEAKER_00

Then you'll probably do your homework. Yeah. There's the punchline. Would you rather have your mom volunteer at school or your mom pick you up with blasting music? Blasting music.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that's my girl. Wait. Wait, I already do that.

SPEAKER_00

Would you rather be known as the funniest kid or the smartest kid? The smartest kid. Oh nice. Because you're already. I'll be like funny and smart. Boom. Bonus speed round. I told you this is gonna be fast. Quick answers only. Recess or PE? Recess. Why do it take so long? Pizza or chicken nuggets? Pizza. Math or reading?

SPEAKER_01

Reading.

SPEAKER_00

Slime or stuffed animals?

SPEAKER_01

Slime.

SPEAKER_00

No more stuffed animals for you. What? La boo-boo or jelly cat?

SPEAKER_01

Jelly cat.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I think we're done here. Thank you for playing along. One more thing.

SPEAKER_01

This is this is snow slime. This is cloud slime. Really? This is clear slime. I'm not sure. This is my gold slime. It's it's not sellable. It's just my slime.

SPEAKER_00

I really hope this was fun for you. We are having so much fun. Hey Joe, what are we cheersing to this time? To us. Love you, hugs, kisses. It's mommy dogger time. Cheers.
