Some days don't look like the highlight reel. Today I'm recording from my couch, laying sideways, dealing with severe hip pain that's been kicking my ass since December. But guess what? I still showed up.
In this episode I'm talking about what it actually looks like to be a high achieving woman when life throws you a curveball. We're getting into reframing (something I'm currently studying in my NLP masters certification), why 60% done will always beat 100% planned, and how to stop letting perfectionism keep you stuck.
If you're in a messy middle right now, this one's for you. Oh and... stay til the end. There's a little plot twist.
In this episode:
- Why "not perfect" doesn't mean "not productive"
- How to use NLP reframing on your worst days
- The 60% rule for when you can't show up at 100%
- A challenge to do the thing you've been avoiding today

Your next level starts with regulation… and we’re just getting started.
Hey, welcome back to Call Her Coach. Today's gonna be a short one and honestly that's kind of the whole point of this episode So here's what's going on. I've been dealing with really severe hip pain stemming from satans flu that i contracted back in december. Like yall this kind of pain aint no joke, like if I am sitting for more than a few minutes its agonizing....its like literally not happening. And if you know me, you know I love my setup. I love being at my desktop, I love being out on my patio when the weather's nice. Today is gorgeous outside by the way. And instead of any of that, I am horizontal on my couch with a laptop on a portable desk...and...just making it work ya know? This has been my life for the past few days. Now.....is this how normal CEO's operate? Probably not...... Is this ideal? Not so much....... I mean it could be worse? But thats the whole freaking point isnt it? It doesn't have to be perfect to be productive. It just has to happen. Today before I even got to this recording. I did my makeup. I did my hair. I hopped on a meeting a little bit ago. I showed up. And now I'm recording this episode for you. Normally this process takes me hours. The brainstorming, the recording, the editing, the posting. Today? We're keeping it short and we're using some cool AI tools to make it happen because that's called adapting and we love AI...side note....isnt it wild what AI can do these days and its only about 10% to capacity...like blows my mind. Anyways I think as high achieving women, we have this story running in the background that if we can't do it the right way, or its not perfect we shouldn't do it at all. And I wanna challenge that perspective today because that belief is literally keeping you exactly where you're at which is not growing....and if youre not growing youre dying soooo theres that. So this is big sister me...giving you some tough love and a kick in your booty today if you needed it. Fun fact right now by the way....im getting my masters certificate in NLP coaching and last night on our call we were talking about something called reframing. And reframing is just choosing to assign a different meaning to the same situation. Same facts, different story. So the facts today are that I'm in pain and I can't work the way I usually do, how i would ideallly like to be showing up. One frame says"this day is a loss, I'm not operating at my best, I should just try again tomorrow." Another frame says"I'm still in the game. I adjusted. I found a way. the second options gives my shitty little painful circumstance a different meaning, and its a meaning that actually makes today more impressive, not less than. So were choosing to reframe the day. Same exact day. Two completely different experiences based on the story you tell yourself about it. As the high performeing over achieving successful woman that you are, you are going to have seasons that don't look cute. You're gonna have weeks where everything is freaking off. Your bodys off, your energys off, your circumstances suck ass... and the women who win long term are always the ones who learn how to perform in imperfect conditions without beating themselves up about it later. So if you're listening to this and you're in a messy middle right now, whether that's a health thing, a life thing, a business thing, I want you to check the story you're telling yourself about it. Are you calling it failure? Or are you discovering your superpowr of being hella flexible... Cause guess what....you adapted. You're still here. You're listening to a podcast right now about growth and getting better, which means you haven't quit....youre resiliant as fuck...you gotta celebrate that, even if life isnt going how you think it should look now who cares....celebrate it! I want you to think about the one thing on your list today that you've been avoiding because you feel like you can't do it at 100%. And I want you to do the 60% version of it Send the imperfect follow up. Record the messy voice memo. Do the thing at a level that your perfectionism would normally reject. 60% done beats 100% planned every single time. That's it. That's today's episode. Short, sweet, recorded from my couch while I'm laying sideways. And honestly? I'm proud of it. You should be proud of yours too.... Love you guys...see you next week...and hopefully, were back verticle......Ohhhh and by the way... fun little plot twist for ya. I never actually recorded this episode...I found a cool little tool in my podcasting software so I just had AI do it for me using my voice, I still wrote it, I still put in the work, obviously but my podcast mic is upstairs and your girl cannot do all that right now. So I had to figure out another way. And I did. So let me know, could you even tell? Because that right there? That's the whole episode. Adapt, and, freaking overcome and get creative.
