SPEAKER_01

Welcome to Kanjian Coffee, your bilingual coffee break.

SPEAKER_00

The Tokyo train is so messy, like crazy congested. I see. So in this case, Sugoy means a bad meaning. So this is not good meaning.

SPEAKER_01

Ma uh I went to Tokyo Station recently. Uh Tokyo Ikini Kola itan desi. Ma Tokyo Kitisko you made a show. I know it's really famous, right? Yeah, it's famous.

SPEAKER_00

Why did you go to uh Tokyo Station? Not a Tokyo Ikini Tundasko.

SPEAKER_01

I just used to uh Trans Transition. Transfer. Transfer. Transfer. Nodika it. Transfer. Transfer over the trains to go my friend's house. I see. The looks is really nice, right? Ma British side, I think. British European side, huh? Oh, I'm not sure which style, but yeah, maybe. Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, maybe British style.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, the lines? Lines, yeah. The train lines are there are a lot of. Maybe I'm not good I'm not good at knowledge of the train lines. But I'm not sure.

SPEAKER_00

I see. So my image is uh I think that all almost all lines from Tokyo somehow connect to Tokyo Station.

SPEAKER_01

Also, maybe it's the entrance to go another ma from the another uh prefectures over the Japan. Ah yeah and Kanagawa to ka moto nukono Osaka to gama sa tam Shinkansenga connect to Shirukana. Maybe to connecting with uh Osaka, Kansai area or like a Tohok area. It's everything that Shinkansen or like ma long distance lines come to the Tokyo full first. So Ma no Nagawa Zen. Itan Tokyo Nikunka. So ma nanga suka. What is uh surprising thing is um Monori Kayga suga na mecharu it I worked so wrong in the train uh Tokyo station.

SPEAKER_00

Ah yeah, I think I remember I was there once as well. I took the Shinkansen to Akita, yeah. Oboita and I'm not gonna be a little bit more than a little bit. There are like left and right, there are a lot of lines, right? Lined up.

SPEAKER_01

Modakale Ure notoki wa ta's. I think I woke around 15 minutes. Mutaba Eki ga Niku Nikogura Maybe there is uh enough distance to make one or two stations in the Tokyo station.

SPEAKER_00

Oh really, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Because uh especially center of Tokyo, Kasakura Damon to kaotemachi to ka for example like Sakura Damo Otemachi stations are those areas, like around the Tokyo station. Um it's really close uh between station and each station, you know. Ikukono and Ikino Kuriga, sui mizika in the Tokyo no, Chu Shimbu, Ikika Ipayarika, Suichika in the Kiro and uh so even actually you can walk to the next station stop in the center of Tokyo.

SPEAKER_00

Uh wow, so inside the station you can walk to the next station, that's how big it is. Is that what you're saying?

SPEAKER_01

So it's think about that in the to center of Tokyo, maybe Tokyo station size is enough to make one or two station distance.

SPEAKER_00

Um I have the same uh image of Shinjuku station, not go. Shinjuku te onaji Kakita.

SPEAKER_01

Shinjikua Arunda. Actually, Shinjik has some station. Tata Shinju Shinji Shinju Sanjume, Nichi Shinju. Nichi Shinjiku gochou me. So this thing that's go it by arun. Actually, there is a sum of the stations in the ma Shinjikute Dokuga center. I don't know where point which point is the center of the Shinjiku, but ma anyway, like there are some of the stations accumulated in the spot, right? True don't meet ma naniseo anno ikano etiiga ko Mishiru Iliadato omuna Shinjikute. Msusteru. Mishute no assembled ka accumulated kana kute. Like do ma Tokyo Etiwa Ya Pai deca ishi I don't na lime ma ara cara uh echigasu de hilo kte it's so s wide and also uh even it's big for particle vertical height height, yeah. Ah no Tate animo Hiro India, eh? Shingas and to kazu notore marashi mohaka Trans one of the games are nobody me that's like climbing around. So so so dungeon wall, you know, uh you gotta also there are so many people but especially foreigners there are lots of foreigners actually. They mean uh suitcase they have the carry carry bug or suit case. Because I'm following the navigation application. Uh so they show me which time I need to get next uh train. So no Navia put in, I'm gonna go to the house, I'm not gonna say, I'm gonna go to the next one, not take a side to I know Shiji okay. So then we're gonna go to the same thing. Because I don't know how long to my next train, right? So I expected it's closer, so I saw like ahiganaka, hike, you couldn't find the entry or exit. So and also I have here the Tokyo area is um one of the most busy area for the train really uh transfer. Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. Yeah, isn't Shinjuku the biggest station in the world? Shinjuku wa anno Sekitekini Ichiban Okina ikanaitiska.

SPEAKER_01

Shinjuku Ichibanu, to motuki wakana.

SPEAKER_00

I didn't know that. Shiranata. I'm not sure if it's true, I just heard or maybe the most complicated one, something I heard that Shinjuku is. Biggest or most complicated? One of them. Uh Sokamo, so kamo.

SPEAKER_01

Nanka Shinjukua Adamasa Shinjuku te nakasano Shinjukuto, nishinjikuto, Shinju.

SPEAKER_00

Shinju only. I think Shinjuku only. It's the same. You have to walk 10 minutes to the d to to do the transfer. I think if you if you take the Yamanote lines and you want to transfer to Maronoichi Sen, to the Maronuchi line, I think you have to walk 10 or 15 minutes. You have to go down, underground. I think it was Maruchi. They're like in completely different locations. Zinzinyar. So it's like a city for me.

SPEAKER_01

Like a underground city within ka to garj.

SPEAKER_00

Department store or more like a mall, we say. Mall. Mall. Shopping mall.

SPEAKER_01

There's a that is combined it with mall, right? Yeah. Even underground. So exactly.

SPEAKER_00

So it's so confusing, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I saw like a this direction, but and after I entered, I realized like this is in the mode and there is a like hood code and the or uh apparent shops.

SPEAKER_00

Exactly, yeah. It's kind of mixed, so it feels like it's it's like its own city. Bastamina to be a good thing.

SPEAKER_01

Because uh if you reach to that area, maybe you cannot pass over, you know.

SPEAKER_00

You cannot you can across there, you can see. Oh destination.

SPEAKER_01

Destination place. Uh but in the Google mark show you like it's a minimum distance, but actually you need to walk around of the rotary. Yes, yes. Okay. Nakasano each gala data atonia and mokticini sugani stuck them all, time in a to site mosa. Ah, so that's what I'm saying. There is a big transaction, right?

SPEAKER_00

Transaction? Yeah, transaction. Transaction is I pay money and you give me something. Ah, crossing.

SPEAKER_01

Ah, crossing.

SPEAKER_00

Ah, crossing.

SPEAKER_01

But they can there is a big crossing, right?

SPEAKER_00

So we need confusing. But I think the craziest point Ichibanya by Pointoa Bakalimaska. Do you know what I'm referring to? Of the Shinjuku? Of Shinjuku station, yeah. It is the construction. Ah there is always construction. So it changes. It changes. It's a Mokamate. It's a Koji Dakara.

SPEAKER_01

Koji Chiwa construction. Uh Koji Chu. During construction, Koji Chu Dukara. Kojud. Kojichu.

SPEAKER_00

Kojigarika. Zuto Koji Chu the Sun. It's oh it's been since I came to Japan, it is construction. I mean. Same with Shibuya.

SPEAKER_01

Uh central area of the society, it takes so long time to do any construction, right? Exactly. So the the uh tocaino koji ni sugo ji can kakite.

SPEAKER_00

And the entry and the exits, they change as well. So it's already basic like it's already basically confusing. So the idioto, digitai, it's makarika. It's makavario, it's a magile, it's nande, it's the infinity castle from Demon's Lair. Muganjo, Kimitune, within a kanjiga.

SPEAKER_01

Nan hold on Tashkani, Shikamano, Madanjo Nakanje Arione Taskani. Hmm Nankane Ano Koji Sono Hazimarito Haya in the Kiro Nak Kozi O Koyote no Basote Nanka. Lanka Koziote Naka if the priest set it as a uh project of the construction. It takes so long time, but uh after uh they started construction uh actually it quickly finished to build or something. But uh nanga maybe they need they doing the configuration or like they need to uh check in some of the ground or something and it's so taking time. I see.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I think also Shibuya is the same, right? Shibuya mo unaji desione, I know Zuto Nanake Masuita. Koji Chu the Sione, Koji Chucky.

SPEAKER_01

Shibuya Amarika, I don't go Shibia actually.

SPEAKER_00

Since two years at least now.

SPEAKER_01

So Naga I'm Nakanika Sono Tabu Sono eki no Nakano Yukato Kaga Ano Kanakiro, Sodega Mo Sono Sodega Sono Siria Toka ano Toka no Ikekanjas. Maybe the floor of the stations are not completed, but uh I feel that's how it is already because I'm already get used to seeing those constructing floor or like a building structures in the station.

SPEAKER_00

So yeah, exactly. It's already normal. It feels like it's just normal, but it's actually under construction for the tsuni I don't know, me do Mada I know what the nine is when you get used to Tokyo uh congesting congestion uh it's uh Tokyo no so no mitoka, so you can't wow that's a good question. Uh maybe after I think half a year or something, or a few months maybe uh Tabum Hanto Shiko Kana no shinekido. I think in the beginning it was a big like shock and kind of stressful to navigate. Uh Nantio Presa Hitoosigite Ano. How can I say But now I think you really after living in Tokyo for maybe a year or so or some time, I think you you get used to it and you know how to navigate and walk big masses of people. Like you know how to dodge, you know how to I don't know, position your body and yeah, it's like you become a ninja kinda. I mean not a ninja but it's like it's really a skill. Nanka n Tokyo mm tabu Michin Guraini sin dite ano nantibaino manabu nanka manabu kotoga takirutomo anosano Ano Hituga Sugui Pason yeah Mawarukoto tekiru na Maru Ma Nantiba. How can I say navigate in Navigato ano navigate know how to walk Mitaina Ah so I kata chicago?

SPEAKER_01

Okay, you still know Yoke Kataka. How do you dodge?

SPEAKER_00

Ah Yokikata Yokikata be mastakam.

SPEAKER_01

How to Yokeri Hoho Ho Ho. How is a mana to mana to go way to Dodge, right? To pass or to Doge, yeah. Oh, I see. I don't know which do you think is harder to go like the place you haven't been and for two navigation and need to go any place in in the country which you have never been in Europe or in Tokyo?

SPEAKER_00

Oh that's a good question.

SPEAKER_01

Because in Europe maybe uh maybe less congestion and uh maybe less uh more English information, right? But in Tokyo there is more people and there's more lines congesting, but hue in information but more uh navigation application is better, right? In Tokyo. Yeah, first of all that and actually I think it's it would be a tahenda to Europa no, it takotonai kun ide Ano Norikaito Kasiru Ekide Norika Sirino to Ato Nihonde Nihono Tokyo De Ano Norika Osirino de Dochiga Tahenda Tonaska.

SPEAKER_00

Tavu Europa noga tai hendo. Oh Ano I think it is more difficult for me in Europe. Why? Nazila ano Japan has a system and at least the signs are the same everywhere. Yellow is for exits, for example. Kinoa, ano, deguchi no sign. And the lines themselves have the colour. Taka nata Yamano is green, for example. So I just check for the Yamanote ring, the symbol. So no, Yamanote no Marku or Chexuriva, it's easy to find the way. Because Europe, there is no unified system. Naka Tomo, naka minna chigao. It's everywhere is different. Different train styles, different train station styles, taka dokudemo chigao, no, ik toka ano, dencha no tatoga naka Norikata.

SPEAKER_01

Norika. Norikaikata Norika Norikaika. Transfer.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, like how to transfer, the way to transfer or Norika no shikata. Norikaino shikata mo chigao dashi and Also the architecture is different in Europe everywhere. Like so I think it's more difficult to navigate in Europe than in in Japan.

SPEAKER_01

Demo Nihonda to Jikando in Kirukara Ano Dotika. Because I saw like in Japan there is more lines and more complicated information in the station. But in Europe maybe there is less lines or more less people in that one station, I mean but in opposite uh maybe Japan follows in time each train, so maybe you can easily to get the train, but maybe in Europe maybe you ha you cannot get the train in the time. So uh but I was w wondering which is more difficult and uh easier. I see.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah we by the way we say on time. On time trains are on time. Ah train on time. Jikandori on time, yeah. Of course in Japan the trains are always 99% on time. So done. So mm nihunde wa nandake jikandori. Jikandori. Jikandori. Aru. Jikandori te nic. Jikandori. Kosi. Kosi na adjective. Okay. Adjectives. So arun de sione. Jikandori dakalate. It's uh there are usually I mean usually I can speak for maybe German regions, uh kind of Central European trains are yeah, delayed most of the time. It's the application is also not updating as uh frequently or as exactly as in Japan with Google Maps. So maybe it shows a delay. Tabun Naga Okur de anoite no nante veno mention ga dicuo com she naikido Sonani mm kampegija naito. It's not perfect, so usually mm.

SPEAKER_01

Yoruba Norika also doogle map what's gonna. So tomorrow uh do you use the Google Maps when you search the navigation or transfer or you have any other specific application?

SPEAKER_00

To be honest, I have been in Japan for so long that I don't know what people are using now, but I think every country has their own application. Ah their own kind of Google Maps. I see, I see. How can I say and kuni tekini? Kunitekini kuni gotoni. Each country, right? Kunigotoni. Ah. Kunigotoni mina chigao applicado kamo. Mmm masoka ne? Takara mmm. Google Maps Motska is so coming. I think you can use Google Maps too though, I'm not sure.

SPEAKER_01

In Japan, maybe it's a famous one, it's a Navi time or like Yahoo Nodikai application. But Google Map on Takai Takai. I don't know why, but uh Google Maps sometimes like me uh higher a cost route.

SPEAKER_00

I think you can filter fastest or cheapest.

SPEAKER_01

There is a route for walking to nanka. It's all in one solution. There is a different lines, but the stations are really closed, so sometimes Google Maps or like an application recommend me to walk from the station to next station. Oh really? Oh yeah, true, I didn't know. So you took if I using only uh uh transfer application, I don't know how to go to next station because it's outside of the station. But if it's Google map, they uh navigate me. So they wait.

SPEAKER_00

So this is Google Map, Ya Pari Cycle, isn't it? After all, Google Map is the best, even though it has some. And do you use a different one? Do you use what do I? Good. Thank you so much for tuning in and see you in the next episode.
