Welcome to the Argue Your Point Podcast. Here are your hosts, Jeff Leitri, and Mason Meet.
SPEAKER_03Alright.
SPEAKER_05All right.
SPEAKER_03So 26.
SPEAKER_0526.
SPEAKER_03We're gonna have a um good podcast here. I'll go through real quick. So we got Nick Spurs game one, two, and three. Reactions. Dylan Larkin trade requests. I'll have my game, the Mason's mic drop.
SPEAKER_04Whoa.
SPEAKER_03Final results and predictions. I'll have the Stanley pup. And then we'll do predictions and winners for the um PGA. And we'll do last week's winner from the game.
SPEAKER_05Yikes, that's a big rundown. Uh should I start off the game?
SPEAKER_03I got rid of like I got rid of like three um things.
SPEAKER_05Should I start off with my lead? My lead in? Sure. Okay, so um last weekend I was fortunate enough to be sent to a conference in Boston, and we had time to catch a ball game. Um so we went to Fenway Park, Kevin and I. And um everyone's Kevin is Kevin is um he works with me, and uh we both do SEO and AI um stuff for for content and for yeah, for for content, for content building, for search and for AI overviews, um, LLMs like ChatGPT, things like that, Cloud.
SPEAKER_03Alright, talk about um the pen.
SPEAKER_05So yeah, yeah. So getting back to so that that's what brought us to Boston. But we were able to, we had time to uh watch a game before kind of before the night before the conference started. So we went to the game and it was it was pretty inexpensive to get in, only forty-five dollars, and it was really cool. You see, you just it's just like a really it's it was built in 1918 and it feels like that. It just it's just like uh takes you back in time. It's the green steel, the chunks of green sh steel is just uh it's just really cool. It's just takes you back, even though I I've never been there before. It I felt like I had been there before.
SPEAKER_03They have a football game there too, yeah.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, yeah, and they have hockey they've had hockey games there.
SPEAKER_03They've Harvard Yale. Yeah, everyone's gonna be.
SPEAKER_05Oh, they play Harvard Yale at Fenway. Really? Um yeah, it was an awesome experience. And uh I put five dollars on the guy on Boston with the short stats, which was Abreu, and I put five bucks on him in Boston to win, and he knocked that Homer in the third inning, and it was just to the left of where we were standing. So, what was really cool, just imagine this. You're in Fenway Park. I I announced that I got five bucks on this guy, hit a home run. You hear the crack of the bat, it's like the rush, the the crowd is like, ah, you could tell the gaps is different between a foul ball and a home run, you know? And the the sun was kind of right in our eye at the point, so it was really kind of hard for me as a spectator, spectator, to track the ball fully, but I could see the ball going about 12-13 rows up to my left, and I was like, boom, that's $35 if Boston finishes this game. And then um they won. Yeah, they won. They won like eight to one, almost blow up, almost a um a shutout. But uh um in the fifth inning was just all kinds of cool different things happening. The double hitting the monster, um just uh just all kinds of action enough to um you know pay the enough entertainment to pay for the ticket by far. I mean, actually, honestly, just walking in was enough for the pay for the ticket, but um that fifth inning was was was really fun. So, yeah, that's my uh Fenway Park. It should be on everyone's bucket list, even if you don't watch baseball. I guarantee you, even if you're not a baseball fan, Fenway Park um, Yankees fans and still won there. No.
SPEAKER_03What you're a Yankees fan and still won there.
SPEAKER_05I'm a Yankees fan, yeah. I moved for the Yankees and um Fenway Park was was awesome. I really liked it.
SPEAKER_03All right, um, let's go on to the NYK.
SPEAKER_05The New York Knicks go we gotta have some Knicks buttons like we had for the C.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Go New York, go New York, go.
SPEAKER_03I'll put that in F. Okay. Maybe I will, maybe I won't, but at that point, it might be over. Who knows? But okay, so let me uh so in game one, the Knicks, they won it 105-95. Okay, wait, hold on.
SPEAKER_05Before you get into all the technical breakdown, I just want to say game one. I was in I was in Boston. Um, I watched the end of it. I didn't watch the biggest. Game two, I was also in Boston. I watched a lot of it, but I was also hanging out and talking to Kevin and in the TV. I had to keep on pressing this button to watch it.
SPEAKER_03Oh, all right.
SPEAKER_05Game three, I watched it at home with you. Go ahead.
SPEAKER_03All right. So now Nick said a 14 point second half deficit to erase to defeat the Spurs, 105-95. Now, Brunson has 30 points during 13 the fourth quarter. His a game thing jumper, 30 seconds. Do you think Brunson is the biggest factor in this series so far?
SPEAKER_05Well, um, he's one. Uh I don't know.
SPEAKER_03Just come on. Any answer.
SPEAKER_05No.
SPEAKER_03No. Okay. Now they had the 11-0 run for the Knicks. They had home now, they have home court advantage. Basically, basically turned the game from San Antonio pumping. They had like the thing where they had all the shirts and all the collars to now it's just like next.
SPEAKER_05It was weird at first.
SPEAKER_03It was all you could only hear Knicks fans. That was it.
SPEAKER_05Mm-hmm. Yeah, I mean, that's how it typically is. This was ratchet up a little bit louder. And we've seen, you know, games in Philadelphia that were mostly Knicks fans chant, you know, that was rooting for the Knicks.
SPEAKER_03The Knicks in the uh last game in Philadelphia when they're up 3-0, it was like 60% Knicks fans.
SPEAKER_05Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_03I mean, it probably would be less if it was like all the way in the other side of the country, but since it was close, probably like, I don't know, seven hour, eight-hour drive. No, that'd be like 10 hours, actually. Yeah, it's I don't know. But it's in the middle. Cat had 18 points, 12 rebounds. Well, OG had 17 points. Now they in that game they had a 12 game playoff win streak to 13 NBA history to win 12 second posting postseason game the single season. The first team to ever beat San Antonio, game one NBA finals. They were three and Josh Hart had 15 rebounds.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, those guys. That's crazy. And how many did he was that a game where he didn't have I think he had like two points. Okay, you don't have that in front of you. Yeah, he had 15 rebounds. Um yeah, which just shows you know it's not always the points. It's not there's there's a whole bunch of stats you lose.
SPEAKER_03It's a team score, it's not like a player, it's not like the Knicks don't have like one star that outshines the rest of it. Like you can make it argument for Brunson, but every player has their own job. Yep. See, Bridges is a decent three-point shooter. Cat, great rebounds. Josh Hart, he's like the literal, he's like the um soul of the team, basically. The heart of the team. Rebounds of the OG are their best defender, he's second team all defense.
SPEAKER_05And Hart in game three.
SPEAKER_03And Shaman, six man, he's just played great in that game. Yeah. The bench was electric.
SPEAKER_05Hart was dropping the threes in game three.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Alright, now we're gonna move on to game two. Don't even click the button anymore. There's like a little button. It says, Yeah, so that was just game one.
SPEAKER_05Now we're talking game two.
SPEAKER_03So this is so this game was crazy.
SPEAKER_05Now game two in San Antonio.
SPEAKER_03Brunson had 20 points. He had the go-head three point with 9.5 seconds remaining. And basically what happened was at the final seconds, it was Spurs ball. He passed it to Deer and Fox, hit Fox's uh back, or it was Castle Fox, went into Brunson's hands, and Victor Bumadama followed him out. Nick's got two free throws. I think they made the first one, then he missed the second one to waste time. Don't work. 7.5 seconds left. Okay. You're thinking here they have a great team. This could be one and one going to MSG. But they I think they do a little passing. Victor Ramadan, he's open. He's not like wide open, but it doesn't get blocked. It goes up, hits the back of the um rim. I thought I was gonna do the thing where the Halberton, who would go like all the way up and fall, but it hit it and it went out. It went into the guy's hands, he shot it, but time was up. And that was a game. That was game two.
SPEAKER_05Game two.
SPEAKER_03Now Spurs had a 14 point four-score deficit. And they actually had a 104102 lead for Nick's code out. I think they had like a oh like a three-pointer or two-pointer or something. Yeah, I think. Yeah, so that game, Cat had 21 points, 13 rebounds. Webinyama, 29. They had the second largest playoff winning streak, 13 games. Nick's had two O series late. What are your thoughts on the game two? Like the end, any part of it.
SPEAKER_05Well, game two, um, I played a little putt-putt at putt shape. Well, this is what this is my thoughts on the game. So I didn't um so yeah, I had a good round of putt-putt. I I beat the three others that was in my first time. No, so so so the game um it came down to the wire. I wasn't um as attuned to it as I was game three because, like I said, I was out doing other things, and then I caught it at the end. Um it was a wire-to-wire game, and it kind of just um it it ended on that one uh play where um where Brunson um knocked it back in, it sent to inbounds, and then Webyama, I think he did have one last shot and he missed, and that's how it game ended. So yeah, it was a hard fought game. It's one of those games, you know, Webbyama makes that basket. San Antonio could have won. That's that's what's so cool about uh basketball is you know, these games they're hard fought. When when the game is over, you you look at you know, you look back, but during the game, it's like this game can go any direction. Either team can win this game. It's a good series. Yeah, it is.
SPEAKER_03I mean, you I mean at the beginning of the MB season, you saw it either OKC or like some other power from power from the West. But now the Knicks, they were a good uh regular season team, they weren't the greatest. And then they turned to the beast in the playoffs that you had. They they sweeped two straight teams, sweeped the team that beat the two seed, and then sweep the team that beat the one seed.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_03So that says something.
SPEAKER_05But um so going back, you know, to game two is when that game was over, it's like, man, New York is up 2-0 in the NBA finals, and they're going back to New York for the first NBA Finals game since 1999, I think.
SPEAKER_03And they haven't won it since I don't think it was 1999. Jeremy Lynn?
SPEAKER_05That's the last time they were in the NBA Finals was 1999. So yeah. No, no, we were in the playoffs last year. But um so um s the the hype was crazy. I was kind of thinking they might lose game three just because it seems um I don't know, it's just the hype is so big. I know I know the I know the yeah what we need. Oh yeah, okay, yeah, let's let's move on to game three. All right, so game three comes around.
SPEAKER_03So the three Celebrity Row Spurs defeated the Knicks 115 to 111 at MSG to cut the series like 2-1. Now, Vam Yama they were played a physical game, but this is the why we have Mike Brown because this is why he can switch things up instantly. Like that. You snap nice good changes, you snap for me like that. Okay, so I think we're gonna make changes, but overall that game was San Antonio's gonna make changes too. Knicks New York had their first loss in 46 days.
SPEAKER_05So it's you know, like before last week I was telling you you asked me if I knew, you know, a bunch of guys from San Antonio. I was like, no, but I'm gonna learn some.
SPEAKER_03Um you know some guys now. Can you name five players?
SPEAKER_05Oh, don't don't put me on spot like that.
SPEAKER_03Well, can you? I'm just wondering.
SPEAKER_05No, I can't name five players, but um I can name a few and I and I recognize a few and I and I kind of started to understand their the type of play in game three that came out really physical. Um was that guy, Castle? Yeah Castle, man, he had to get 18 points in the first half. He was insane, he was on fire. It's like ever sometimes you when you watch playoff basketball, you just you see some guy just go lights out. It's like it's like you can't stop him. And if and if you if you try to intimidate him, a lot of times him or this person a person when you try to intimidate them, they just play harder and better. Yeah, get more fun. And that was Castle's game for sure. That that he had an amazing start.
SPEAKER_03He had 23 points.
SPEAKER_05He ended up with 23?
SPEAKER_03He had crucial, he had a crucial three-pointer. The Spurs avoided the 3-0 deficit.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_03But let me show you the stats.
SPEAKER_05But the start, the start was key, man. They they started really well.
SPEAKER_03Now, Webinama, 32 points, eight rebound fixes, Brunson at 32, OG at 28, Castle at 23, Kat had 11 points. Now the playoff winning three and 13 games, two only. Now uh we're gonna go into game four, which is tonight at 8.30. Now Jeremy Lynn said the Knicks playoff games at MSG are so like crazy that whenever he played, you had to look down to make sure like it wasn't gonna fall. Well, like the entire arena wasn't gonna collapse. That's how crazy he was. That's how crazy. I think it's gonna be crazy tonight.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, it's uh it's another game four in MSG. You know, a lot of people are saying Nixon 6, well no watch party tonight. There's watch parties all over.
SPEAKER_03Well, yeah, there's no watch party in the arena.
SPEAKER_05But there was one at Central Park.
SPEAKER_03I don't think they do that anymore.
SPEAKER_05They it was in the last game.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, they didn't do that. This you're not gonna do it this game.
SPEAKER_05Why would they do it in game three and not in game four?
SPEAKER_03Because they had like people arrested. Or let's not talk about that.
SPEAKER_05Okay, you said that last time though. Yeah, I mean there's gonna be arrests. Can we just what?
SPEAKER_03You just move on.
SPEAKER_05Um Yeah, so uh we're still talking about game three, right?
SPEAKER_03No, four.
SPEAKER_05We're talking about four.
SPEAKER_03But what's the next response will win MSG results?
SPEAKER_05Um tonight. You know, I don't know. I don't know what to expect. Expect a similar game. You know, a hard fuck game, it's gonna um a lot of times it feels like you know it basketball so much momentum shifts. Um sometimes a team will start out with a really good momentum shift and the other team will be trying to play catch up. And then and then and then it just shifts. You know, momentum shifts. Um that's how I see the game a lot.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_05A lot of times then and then when you're Monday m Monday morning quarterbacking, um you're like like, well, the difference of the game is um three point percentage or field goal percentage, you know, things like that. Um and a lot of times that does play a huge role. Like if if if they if both teams go for fifteen three pointers, um one team gets ten, one team gets five, you know, the big difference are yeah.
SPEAKER_03So um I'm gonna do a little prediction here. I think it's gonna be one fifteen, one oh nine next final.
SPEAKER_05115, 109, next.
SPEAKER_03I think it's gonna be a close pick. I think it's gonna be a physical game. I think K's gonna get the ball a bit more.
SPEAKER_05I think it's gonna be 113, 112 next.
SPEAKER_03Overtime or normal or just regulation.
SPEAKER_05Regulation.
SPEAKER_03Alright. Now we're gonna move on to another segment for the first time ever. Okay, now what happened there?
SPEAKER_05Do it again.
SPEAKER_03There we go. Dylan Larkin trade request. Now Dylan Larkin officially requested trade from Red Wings. Now he is officially requested every 11th season in Detroit. Detroit's on a 10-year playoff drought. Now, Lorkin submitted three a three team preferred destination list the Golden Knights, the Wild, and the Panthers. Do you think that if Dylan Larkin goes to any of those teams, think they will immediately boost their odds of winning it, or you think it won't help it a lot?
SPEAKER_05Well, I mean, it depends on what they give up, but yeah, most likely you're adding a um player like Dylan Larkin, you're gonna get better. Can you uh can you make it you know the button that makes um makes that dark voice?
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Can you do that for me for a second?
SPEAKER_02I am doing I wanna trade. Get me out of here.
SPEAKER_05That's that's probably what it sounded like to the to the GM um when he heard that. So random.
SPEAKER_03It's funny. So the 29-year-old has a no has a full no train no trade clause, it's five years remaining on his eight-year 69.6 million dollar contract.
SPEAKER_05Wow, really? I okay, that's interesting. Five years remaining on his eight-year contract?
SPEAKER_03Yep, 8.7 million AAV. Now, Detroit tenure playoff drought appears to be a major factor behind his trade request. Now, Larkin had a good season, 34 goals, 67 points, and 74 games, and a new career high in goals. Now, will Redmitt Red Wings you think they're gonna make a trade like immediately?
SPEAKER_05Uh they're they're probably gonna make it before July 1st. Can you can you get put my voice back on the um thing? I want to before you before you press a button, you know, I don't understand why Ryan O'Reilly, when he was in Buffalo, why he didn't just say can I have a trade request? Instead, he said something like this.
SPEAKER_02I've lost the love of hockey. Hockey just isn't found in Buffalo anymore.
SPEAKER_03Wait, you want to do it again real quick? No.
SPEAKER_05This is all spontaneous. No, yeah, that's what Ryan O'Reilly said. He was something like, oh, we don't play Hacky anymore. I'm not having fun.
SPEAKER_03Okay, okay, we're gonna stop messing with that now. Now, um, where Shalar can go? If you could pick any team that NHL that he would want to go, where do you think would be the best spot for him to win the Stanley Cups?
SPEAKER_05Well, obvious, you know, I mean, someone who is in the third year of their eighth-year contract, and they're one of the, you know, uh a captain type of player, one of the best players in the team, you're gonna want to go to a contender.
SPEAKER_03Not gonna go like Florida or something, like a rebuilding.
SPEAKER_05Even though Florida missed the playoffs, they're gonna bounce back. They had a lot of injuries last year. Florida's still a Stanley Cup contender. Obviously, the Golden Knights, they're they're becoming like the villains.
SPEAKER_03They came in like five years ago and merely might win two Stanley Cups.
SPEAKER_05They all they do is trade. Trade, trade, trade, trade, trade, trade, trade.
SPEAKER_03I know I like them.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I mean, it there's something to respect about you know achieving results through different, you know, standard traditional ways, not through development by just trading. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03But um All right, well, let's do um a little game. So this game's called my mic drop. Well, it's mason made drop. We're at the 20 minutes. Now here are the rules. There'll be there'll be a 60 second timer here, and you as a co-host can either defend my hot take or attack it, retaliate, say, no, that's not right. This is better.
SPEAKER_05Okay, so okay, we got to.
SPEAKER_03So first we have to.
SPEAKER_05Can we get some background music for the game?
SPEAKER_03Well, before we do that, we have to have the.
SPEAKER_05Oh, we got a new song.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, we got song forever. Hit it.
SPEAKER_0060 seconds on the clock, make this ready, let it run, get the ball and play your fight, go make the buffalo, nothing, must have been here we go! P deals the nice, I like it.
SPEAKER_03This is AP, it's supposed to be a YP.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, argue point.
SPEAKER_03Alright, P deals the show. I'll have a timer here. I'll say my hot take. Um, that's pretty good then. I have to write down I guess 50 seconds. I'll save the take. I have I have 50 seconds, I'll save the take. And then if you want to, and if you want to defend or tack it, then you also get 50 seconds. Right. Let's start in 3, 2, 1. Now, my hot take here is that the New York Knicks don't live up to the playoff height in MSG yet. Now, right now, the Knicks haven't been like don't have expectations in these last two games. The last one game in MSG. I think with the Knicks a bounce back game, this MSG would be rocking. I think it would be one of the craziest arenas in the entire season. Like in the entire season. I think it'll be the loudest it's been.
SPEAKER_05I think well, okay, it's my turn.
SPEAKER_03No, no, no, I saw thirty seconds. I think that uh I think right now if the Knicks just play if they come out rocking, like if they just if they have a good first quarter, good first half. Necessarily, all they have to do is hit a bunch of threes, the crowd ruled up. It could be New York game easily. And let's say if next team's 3-1 lead, it'll be crazy. Right, who wants to attack?
SPEAKER_05No, so so my my rebuttal to that is that already happened Monday night. It already was as loud as it can be, all the hype. That that we already lived that it probably will be the same. Um, especially, well, yeah, I mean, if we were trailing by 15 points, the whole game is not gonna be rocking, but um, but we were leading in game three. It was a close game. It wasn't like we were never leading. Um, so I felt like it already matched that hype. It was already super loud. There was um Eli Meaning there. There was who who's okay? Who's your favorite celebrity on Celebrity Row that or that was on TV? I can't think. Um, but yeah, so that that's my rebuttal. It was already there. Um yeah, that's it. All right, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Alright. Next time we'll do a different uh hot take. I got I got a lot of songs. We got um some more next time, but so it's um talking about a um we're talking about um sorry NHL finals game I think it's game three. Yeah, game three. So I won't tell you the end of the game, but we'll start off first period, no goals have been scored. 20 minutes, no goals. Okay. Second period, 1026, Vegas 1-0. Thomas Hurdle power play goal.
SPEAKER_05This is yesterday's game, last night's game.
SPEAKER_03This is like two games ago.
SPEAKER_05Game one?
SPEAKER_03Yep, no game three. Then 1042, Vegas, 2-0, Mitch Martyr. Then four 1432, Vegas, three nothing, Mitch Martyr. Then 1652, Vegas, Golden Knight, 4-0, Mitch Martyr, then the period ends. Now imagine if you're thinking this here. So you're if you're just thinking like, okay, um you're up right now. You are up um 4-0. 4-0 at the start of the third. What or what do you would be your thoughts as a team that's up?
SPEAKER_05Um well that you you you wanna tell yourself, put your gas on the pedal, but you might naturally, collectively want to preserve that lead and just put try to play a tight defensive game.
SPEAKER_03Alright, so we're gonna go superior. 7-0 three, Jordan Martinhook makes the game 4-1 for Carolina. 729, Taylor Hall make the game 4-2. Okay, so now you're only up by two goals, so defendable lead. Then only about 12 seconds later, Jordan Stahl. He took three goals right here. And let's see, 39 seconds. Three goals 39 seconds.
SPEAKER_04Really?
SPEAKER_03And all the way into 18 minutes, Andre Seventhinov and power play tie the game four to four. We go into overtime. It was a gr it was a good overtime, but no goals scored. Now we're going double overtime. Vegas loses a 4-0 lead. You're now you're going double overtime at 5 38. She uh Theodore gets the game winner. Shea. Shea Theodore gets the game winner. What are your thoughts on that entire game? All the goals and everything.
SPEAKER_05First of all, I like how you broke that down. Um we we can do a little more to that. How you just how you just did. I'm sorry for my subject. Uh what are my thoughts on it? Yeah, um, yeah, it was a good game. Um, and it's too bad. I mean, if I was a Carolina fan, I would hate that game. Yeah. Because it's it was like an almost game. You know, like they tied it up, they got it overtime. They played a full 20 minutes of overtime. I'm sure they had chances. Um that's kind of like the Buffalo game. It's like we had the the the elimination game, the game that we were eliminated in for the Sabres.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Um we had chances to win that game. We had shots on goal, you know what I mean? We had chances, they were there, we just didn't finish it. Um, so that's that's overtime. Overtime is about one shot. One shot.
SPEAKER_03No, but um series is tied 2-2. It's 5-3.
SPEAKER_05Well, why don't you run down I'm not gonna run that down.
SPEAKER_03I didn't uh I didn't do it.
SPEAKER_05You didn't have a plan, okay.
SPEAKER_03Well maybe now we're going to the best subject we've ever had. So everyone knows.
SPEAKER_05Everyone knows everybody knows your name.
SPEAKER_03No, everybody knows the Stanley Cup, but do you know the Stanley pup? I took all 32 Stanley pups, I put their names, I got rid of some that I didn't like, and we're gonna go over the ones I do like that are just like kind of cool. So this is a rank from 32 with the worst voted. 31 and number one.
SPEAKER_05Wait, wait, what do we I'm gonna talk about the pups?
SPEAKER_03So I'm gonna just give you an example. Number 32, Cal McCollor for Clo Colorado.
SPEAKER_05Okay, it's a cal McCarr. It's like kind of like that. Pop names, okay.
SPEAKER_03And then we got 28, these number 28, like 28 being the worst, 32 being worst, number one being the best. I got rid of most of them. Yeah, okay. Because I don't want to go for 32 dogs. No, 28. This one's a funny one. Linus Obark.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_03Then we got 24. This is the Buffalo Sabres. We got Owen Bowauer.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_0319. Artemis Powenen.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_0317. Brad Marshound.

SPEAKER_03Yeah. 16. This is a funny one. Colef Paulfield. That's Cole Caulfield. And then we've got 12, we got Seth Arfith, Carolina. Eight, we got Jack Eichowell.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_03Number six, we got Logan Chompson.
SPEAKER_05Sweet Sweeboo Jack Eichel on the podcast whenever we hear his name.
SPEAKER_03We got Logan Chompson for Carolina. Number five, Matthew Schaeferry. The Schife. Shayfurry. Schaifurry. Number four, Macklin Saloini. Number three, Jason Slobertson.
SPEAKER_05Nice.
SPEAKER_03Number one, Ziv Boopum.
SPEAKER_05Hold on, let me get a. See Boobum?
SPEAKER_03Zeeve Boopum.
SPEAKER_05Whose name is that from?
SPEAKER_03From Canucks Defense and Zev Booyum.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_03This is boop. Alright. Um now we're gonna go to the A the PG of predictions.
SPEAKER_0526 minute we got here?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, 28 minute.
SPEAKER_0528.
SPEAKER_03Alright, so this so I'm gonna take over. So I have the results from last week. And I don't have like not like the PG winner, but our predictions. I have all the totals added up. Now if they were cut, I just did where they were when they were cut. So do you want to go first? Or should I go first? I think I'll have you go first. Number one, you took Matt Fitzpatrick at your favorite. He was tied 36th. It was plus four.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_03Number two, you did Josh and Thomas. He was tied 19, 2 under. And then you had a great pick, a long shot. Eric Cole, eighth place. He got seven under.
SPEAKER_05Top ten. So mine were mine were exact opposite, weren't they? Huh? Can you read those numbers again? 33, the number the the place? Yeah, the places.
SPEAKER_03Tie 36, tie 19, 8.
SPEAKER_0536, 18, 19. 36, 19, and 8. That's crazy.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, you want the opposite. I went the opposite from favorite middle. I have a chance here to win it. Now I picked favorite Cameron Young, tied 46, plus 8. Then I took McIntyre, cut plus seven. Then my long shot took Alex Patrick, eight under, finished with seven over and finished with five under.
SPEAKER_05You're the winner this week's and it's and my um both of our um both of our picks that were closest to winning that had the lowest rounds were our long shots. Yeah. Alex Fitzpatrick and Eric Cole. I seen that I seen Alex Fitzpatrick was doing really well. And it I I seen that he was doing better than Matt Matt, his brother Matt. Um he's impressive, man. I I really, really hope he uh gets a win soon. I don't know if it's be this season or next season. Um but I feel like he uh I I feel like he's got that potential. He's got that game now. He's definitely got a ton of confidence. It's amazing what some confidence can do for you.
SPEAKER_03Alright, I added my guy or my uh sheet on the uh the PGA wall of shame.
SPEAKER_05You know, I was hitting him really good at the range yesterday. All right, right rotating my shooting.
SPEAKER_03You'll be on the wall of fame soon. I'll put you up there later. Okay.
SPEAKER_05Now we have the actual predictions. Everybody's gonna know my name.
SPEAKER_03Now we have the actual predictions now.
SPEAKER_05Alright, what we what do we got this week?
SPEAKER_03We have the um car cat? No, I think it's the RBC.
SPEAKER_05It can't be. Oh yeah, yeah, RBC Canadian. Yep.
SPEAKER_03Yep. So um I'm gonna give you the sheet.
SPEAKER_05Taylor um Nick Taylor.
SPEAKER_03I'm giving you this. You write down the episode, J. And you don't write down anything for place. And it's for me. Right? You don't write down anything on place. That is what I do.
SPEAKER_05Can I have a pen, please?
SPEAKER_03I will.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_03Because last time you put down the place. So 26th, put your first initial. And now I get the first row of a pick because I looked at the thing last week and you got first. But you don't so you get the uh loop snake. Okay. Now, uh, I'm gonna show you the field because you don't have a thing. Alright, so I'm looking to I'm looking at the field here. You got Fitzpatrick, number one at plus 13 is out at plus 1300. Yeah, Fitzpatrick, Sam Burns, Morakawa, and then the rest of the guys to go down. I was actually reading online, you know. I did the reading. I saw this Christopher Wrighton guy with a pick from golf channel. So I'm picking him. I'm picking Kay Wrighton.
SPEAKER_05He won a few weeks ago.
SPEAKER_03Yeah?
SPEAKER_05Yeah. I think he won his first tournament ever a few weeks ago. Maiden his maiden victory. Is this updated? This isn't a why is it so small? I don't know. It's not a uh signature event.
SPEAKER_03I I got it from online, yeah, so it's not small.
SPEAKER_05Alright. Um either way. You know what? Um, I'm gonna go with Kepka. Kepka?
SPEAKER_03All right, write that down. Like with music.
SPEAKER_05Brooks Kepka. I don't know if I put your up your. I don't know if I really believe Brooks Kepka will win. Um, I think you can have a couple good rounds, but anyways, go ahead. Your turn. I'm sticking with it.
SPEAKER_03No, it's snake. So you go.
SPEAKER_05Well then I gotta take the guy who's created the new logo that the RG the um R the RBC right to RBC.
SPEAKER_03RBC, yeah.
SPEAKER_05The RBC classic is from that 80-foot-yard eagle putt. I'm going with none other than Nick Taylor.
SPEAKER_03Nick Taylor. Alright, that's a good pick there. That was a good one. Right, Taylor is off the board. Now I'm looking so Eric Cole's on there. I picked him last time. He had like plus eight. Lowry, that could be one I take here. The Heath horror board, Fino, maybe. But I think I'm gonna go with some I don't know too much about. But I think I'm gonna do that's we don't know. I think I'm gonna do um I'm gonna do Shane Lowry.
SPEAKER_05Shane Lowry, not a bad pick. You got your new clubs in the mail, should be here tomorrow.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I got my accessories coming right now.
SPEAKER_05Sweet.
SPEAKER_03Probably delivered. Oh, yeah, delivered right now. All right, um, long shot.
SPEAKER_05Long shot. Can you can I see the board again? Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Oh, I'm up.
SPEAKER_05Oh okay.
SPEAKER_03Corey Connors Hughes is up there.
SPEAKER_05Cory, both those guys are Canadian.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Hughes, they're both Q's, Corey Connors and my Q's are both Canadian. I mean uh McKenzie Hughes.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Uh I'm not seeing tongue, guys, but I think I'm gonna go with Max Homa.
SPEAKER_05Homa? Oh man, he who knows? He just fired his caddy for the fourth time or something like that.
SPEAKER_03Oh, well, I believe you'll have a okay.
SPEAKER_05Where do you go and put it in here? The last time I picked uh Mackenzie Hughes, he missed the cup, but you know what? That was last time. Let's take McKenzie Hughes. One time I did. I did. Oh, okay. I picked him at uh because he's a member at um Quill Hollow. Yeah. Yeah, and he didn't do good at all.
SPEAKER_03I have like a tiny little um folder because I lost the thing like five times. Right?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, some pretty decent long shots there, too.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Alright. Um that would be it. That's all the content. A little bit of a short one today. Yeah, I'm sorry, but uh I couldn't pump everything up. Next week we'll have more content. Apologize.
SPEAKER_05But what's going on with the Buffalo Bills? Any uh any updates? I think mandatory mini camp was today. I think everyone showed. I s I heard James Cook was limited, but he was there. Um no holdouts this year.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that's good. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05James Cook. We'll talk we'll talk a little more Buffalo Bills next week.
SPEAKER_03And we get more if we get more news, really.
SPEAKER_05Oh, there's stuff going on. I mean, it's definitely um I mean OTAs that they started, so so there's stuff to report.
SPEAKER_03It's not like not like breaking news traded or no.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, but uh well, I mean there was a couple a couple days ago. We had we talked about Miles Garrett and just Jefferson Trade.
