Welcome to the Cashley Show. We are Kevin and Ashley. We started this podcast after recent tragedies to take a break from negativity and discover the good news and things happening all around us.
SPEAKER_01Nobody could see my finger guns.
SPEAKER_00We're actually gonna go back to the 90s because there's two decades I missed.
SPEAKER_01Was our last one about the 90s or was that two episodes ago?
SPEAKER_00That was the last one was the 90s.
SPEAKER_01Just back-to-back 90s. Yes. Cool. Alright, let's do it.
SPEAKER_00When I started covering the 90s episode, I realized there was too much to fit in one episode. There are so many trends, moments, memories that we're left out. That's why we're doing a follow-up. A second look at the decade that shaped. At least Kevin and I. There's still a lot of nostalgia to share. And I'm excited to revisit the memories I missed before. So this time I'm just gonna list the things. I don't have stuff to talk about with each of them. So just talk about whatever. Alright. First up, we have beanie babies. Forgot this one.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I totally forgot about beanie babies. I don't know if I ever really had any beanie babies.
SPEAKER_00I I think I did. I don't anymore. I don't think.
SPEAKER_01Are they still worth a lot of money? Like for a while, weren't they worth a bunch of money?
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Oh, I actually have a different episode about a beanie baby.
SPEAKER_01You have an entire episode about beanie babies?
SPEAKER_00Uh not an entire one. I think the episode is something like things that are worth a lot of money, but they're useless. And a beanie baby is on the baby. Is one of them. Sure. Okay. So yes, there are some still worth a lot of money, I picked it.
SPEAKER_01And what exactly is a beanie baby? Is it just like a stuffed animal but filled with like beans or rice or something?
SPEAKER_00Like and it has a name on it.
SPEAKER_01Right. Kind of like uh well, like cabbage patch kids or garbage pail kids. Yeah, and they just sell those types of things.
SPEAKER_00So they're just little such animals that come with this little tie tag and it has its name on it, and I think on its butt or something has like a little heart, I want to say. That says like We Heart Butts. I I think I don't I don't know. It's been a long time since I had one of these, so I could be wrong. Okay. Next is the Rachel haircut.
SPEAKER_01I didn't have this.
SPEAKER_00I did. Well, my hair kind of naturally does this, so it's kind of you're naturally a Rachel. Yeah, my hair like at a certain length it naturally just flips out. Oh, okay. The rest of the time it's completely straight. But like this one length that will flip out.
SPEAKER_01Right at the Rachel length?
SPEAKER_00Yes. She did she did like flip out and then the top was a little bit shorter, so it went under. Under and then out. I I remember my sister had this.
SPEAKER_01Not naturally though, right? She had to pay much money for it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Friends, such a good show.
SPEAKER_00That is on the list of shows on this one too.
SPEAKER_01Oh, do you have shows listed?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I have I have a section of shows, snacks. Next is rollerblades.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I guess we'll get to we'll get to the we'll get to friends when we do the top of the rollerblades. I love rollerblading.
SPEAKER_00That was the best.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. My brother, he got me into it more, right? We were more like aggressive inline skating, right? Like we never really did it on like vert like skate ramps, right? Like a half pipe. Yeah. We never really did that, but always tried to do like street skate, like on rails and jumping down stairs and spinning and going down big hills.
SPEAKER_00Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. We thought, or at least I thought it was so cool on my rollerblades.
SPEAKER_00We just stayed in our neighborhood mostly and raced one person on one sidewalk and one on the other side of the street. So we like raced down the rest.
SPEAKER_01You guys were just kids having fun.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01We were California street skaters. Okay.
SPEAKER_00That's funny. Yeah, you guys were more daring than I was. Yeah. I did have braggedy in and Andy. I'm not sure. Maybe that one's more 80s.
SPEAKER_01I want to talk about rollerblades.
SPEAKER_00Oh, sorry. Keep talking about rollerblades.
SPEAKER_01Or inline skates, I guess. Because like I used to do them at like the roller skating rink. Right? Like Clint never wanted to go roller skating on regular roller skates. Like that was lame and dumb.
SPEAKER_00Did you say Clint?
SPEAKER_01Clint?
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01When?
SPEAKER_00When you said I thought you said Clint never wanted to go roller skating.
SPEAKER_01I said I never wanted to go roller skating.
SPEAKER_02I don't know why I heard Clint out of that.
SPEAKER_01I don't know how you heard that either. Yeah. So it was like I had a bat I had my hat on backwards and a shirt, like a button-up shirt that was unbuttoned. So as I was skating fast, like my shirt's like flying behind me like a cape. I was so cool.
SPEAKER_00We did we did go to the roller skating rink. They don't have the one that we used to go to anymore. But yeah, they had like a slow skate where they like turn the lights down.
SPEAKER_01Oh. We're gonna slow things down.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, then you can hold hands with someone and skate around. Aww, who did you hold hands with? I never did. Surprise.
SPEAKER_01Why don't you like love?
SPEAKER_00Next up. The just say no campaign.
SPEAKER_01Was this the drugs, like the red ribbon? Right? Isn't that just say no? Yeah, red ribbon week.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I think this one is supposed to be like the this is this is your brain. This is your brain on drugs. And it's like an egg in a frying pan. The precious moment figurines.
SPEAKER_01I don't remember these. No, you don't. Precious moments?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so there was a girl that I used to work with. I used to work with her and she would watch our daughter sometimes. Uh like when I worked on a Saturday or something, and Kevin was working too.
SPEAKER_01So these are from the 90s? Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_00I just so she her son was I don't know, a teenager at the time, and our daughter was one or two. And he used to call her the precious moment baby.
SPEAKER_01Such a cute baby. She was cute. Now she's an angsty teenager.
SPEAKER_00Next is light bright.
SPEAKER_01I love that. The sound from is this like the where you put the pegs in? Uh-huh. Okay.
SPEAKER_00But like our kids got one. Um one of our kids got one in the last couple of years. But when ours were old, they were like, Do you remember them when they were old? They had this big back where the light could go in and then it had the peg port up front.
SPEAKER_01Not really.
SPEAKER_00It was it was big, and now it's like small.
SPEAKER_01Big generated bunch of heat was like a fire hazard. Children played with it. That's the nineties.
SPEAKER_00The next one is easy bake oven.
SPEAKER_01I never had one of these either, but I know you're talking about. I don't think anyone ever baked me anything out of the street. A lot of this stuff from the 90s our kids had.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01That seems like it's not from the 90s.
SPEAKER_00Well, it was from there and now it's continued. You like the next one? Big wheel.
SPEAKER_01A big wheel? Yeah. Yeah. I wish I had a big wheel for me as an adult.
SPEAKER_00You got our kid. It's a big wheel. I know.
SPEAKER_01Big wheels are awesome.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. The next one is stack point pencils. Do you remember these?
SPEAKER_01Are these ones that have the little white things with like the and you just like push them in on the top and they just lose one?
SPEAKER_00It's dumb. It isn't useless.
SPEAKER_01What a terrible design. I don't know if I ever really used them, but you saying that right now, that's probably why they don't still exist.
SPEAKER_00I feel like they usually have like scented ones too. I I know I had them. I feel like they were scented. Like maybe the top part. I don't know.
SPEAKER_01Why would it be scented?
SPEAKER_00I don't know. Like strawberries or just like fun little smells.
SPEAKER_01Why?
SPEAKER_00I don't know. Because it's fun.
SPEAKER_01But it's pencil. If anything, make it flavored.
SPEAKER_00You can chew on it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, people put pencils in their mouth. They don't put them up their nose.
SPEAKER_00You're writing and you smell it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, then your hand smells like it all the time.
SPEAKER_00The girls wear perfumes and fruity lotions.
SPEAKER_01Because there were those pencils that used to have like glitter and stuff. They'd be all and then it's all over your hands.
SPEAKER_00Next one. Okay. The no fear shirts. Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_01No fear. Yeah. Were these at like JC Penny? Is that where you'd get them?
SPEAKER_00I don't know. The boys used to wear them. I never had one.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I think that was like maybe just before my time. Because I remember my brother and my older my older brother, my oldest brother and sister wearing no fear shirts and like bum equipment.
SPEAKER_00Oh yeah, I forgot about that one. I remember my mom having that.
SPEAKER_01Bum equipment.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01What did B U M stand for? We looked that up. Bum equipment and no fear. Maybe I did have a no fear shirt. And maybe maybe Trent did too, actually. Maybe BUM was more BUM equipment. Was more the my older siblings. And then No Fear was us.
SPEAKER_00The acronym doesn't actually stand for anything.
SPEAKER_01Typical marketing clothing.
SPEAKER_00No, that's not true. The says the clothing line do have stamped with the slogan body utility maintenance.
SPEAKER_02What?
SPEAKER_01That's that's so dumb.
SPEAKER_00I think the doesn't stand for anything was better.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it was they just had bomb and so it's a backronym. Like they had bomb equipment because that's fun to say. They're like, what does that stand for? Body. Like just making that up on the fly. Hopefully, anyways.
SPEAKER_00Next is the famous overhead projector.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah, that's cool with all the someone's head was always in the wind. Yeah, and clear, clear piece of plastic, like they would draw on and like yeah. What did they do with all those?
SPEAKER_00Probably threw them in the garbage.
SPEAKER_01They're just filling up a landfill somewhere. Yep. Because those things were steel. Steel and glass.
SPEAKER_00Heavy. Yeah. They had a little rolling cart that they were on because they were still.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And where did they store all those? I don't even remember as a kid. They just like showed up.
SPEAKER_00I feel like our teacher had it like in the corner of the classroom. Oh, it was always in there.
SPEAKER_01Maybe it was. As a kid, I just didn't notice or care.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Alright, next up we have snacks. Snacks? Snacks from the 90s.
SPEAKER_01Oh, so I thought you just said snacks. I'm like, snacks are not a 90s thing.
SPEAKER_00Snack time? Snack time came out.
SPEAKER_01The 90s did not invent snacks.
SPEAKER_00We get you some ice cream.
SPEAKER_01Ooh.
SPEAKER_00The first one we have is the cream savers. You remember these? They're like lifesavers, but filled in and then they're fruity. Hold on, I'll show you. I remember the one was like pink and white.
SPEAKER_01Vaguely. Like it was like a strawberry something, and they had like an orange cream and then strawberry cream. Vaguely, right? And they were yeah. Okay. Yeah, I remember those.
SPEAKER_00Apparently you can still get them because that was Walmart's website.
SPEAKER_01Alright. Well thanks, Walmart fruit cream savers.
SPEAKER_00I didn't know that that was a thing anymore.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, they're still around.
SPEAKER_00The next one is something you like pizza rolls.
SPEAKER_01Pizza rolls. I don't know if I would eat a pizza roll now.
SPEAKER_00I always hated those. Really? I thought they were awful.
SPEAKER_01They were just so easy after school. Like you pop them in and like pepperoni is just a pet like it's a hard flavor to mess up. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Right?
SPEAKER_01Like pepperoni's just pepperoni.
SPEAKER_00It overpowers everything else.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, pretty much, right? Once you get past like the liquid magma that would shoot out if you bit into it and burnt your lips and your tongue, they were they were all right.
SPEAKER_00You just have a blister in your mouth.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, right. Pepperoni flavored blister.
SPEAKER_00The next two your son was actually asking for today. Toaster strudels and Pop Tarts.
SPEAKER_01Oh man, toaster strudels. Pop Tarts was like the boring, lame I always like Pop Tarts.
SPEAKER_00Like just cold. Just take it with you.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, sure. Right. But toaster strudels, that's like the next level. Yeah. That's like was it grey poupon? That's like the grey poupon of uh breakfast toaster pastries. And you could just put as much like they needed more icing. They definitely needed to like that little package thing. It's like you'd use two of them, so then your other one wouldn't have any icing. I'm like, that's gross.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's not good.
SPEAKER_01Bread and fruit.
SPEAKER_00The next one is push-pops. Yeah. They're still around. Our kids like them.
SPEAKER_01Did they start out as like flintstone?
SPEAKER_00I don't know.
SPEAKER_01I'm pretty sure they started out as like flintstone. Flintstone push-pops. And then they moved on to other stuff.
SPEAKER_00Are you talking about push-ups? Push-up popsicles or the push-pop suckers?
SPEAKER_01Oh, I yeah, I'm talking about popsicles. You're talking about the candy, the hard candy.
SPEAKER_00So those are push-ups.
SPEAKER_01Okay, yeah. Thanks. My tiny feeble brain was unable to make that connection. You do what now? Oh, that's how you eat them. I just let it melt all over my hands and had to lick it up. Would have done the 90s so different.
SPEAKER_00The next one is the soapies.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, the drinks?
SPEAKER_00Are those still around?
SPEAKER_01Well, I mean, there's like soapy life water. I don't know if they do like the actual soapies from the nineties anymore. Yeah, I used to love those.
SPEAKER_00I don't remember what flavor I like. Do you remember flavor?
SPEAKER_01I don't. Like a dragon fruit one, I want to say.
SPEAKER_00That sounds something like something you'd like.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00The next one and Snapple. Oh yeah, I didn't know.
SPEAKER_01Snapple and Soby. Yeah, Snapple always had like the when the lid would pop off and like they had like little sayings on the lids or whatever, right? Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Oh Snapple was I remember Snapple.
SPEAKER_01I used to like those.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. The next one is Kid Cuisine. You remember those?
SPEAKER_01Is this just like frozen dinner?
SPEAKER_00But for kids. Yeah, so not something I got. No, yeah. So it had like when I saw this today, there was a picture and it had the macaroni and then it had a brownie in it. The brownie had leaked over into the macaroni kind of.
SPEAKER_01Chocolate mac and cheese.
SPEAKER_00I know I used to buy these for my nephew when he was little. I don't I didn't get them when I was to be the fun aunt? Yeah. Okay. Because my sister wouldn't buy them for him.
SPEAKER_01So you wouldn't do it for your own kids though.
SPEAKER_00No. Now I wouldn't know. Because I don't I realize that it's terrible for you, and I'm sorry that I fed that to you. Nephew.
SPEAKER_01That's why he is the way he is.
SPEAKER_00It's all my fault. Next one is bagel bites.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah. This is like kind of like pizza, sort of pizza rolls or whatever, but just in a different pizza's on a bagel. You can have pizza anytime. Pizza bagel bites. Get him in your groceries freezer. Marketing works, everybody. 30 years ago. Still remember the commercial.
SPEAKER_00That's funny. The last one is warheads.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah, sour candies. Yeah. Warheads and tearjerkers. They don't make them like that anymore. Like they still have warheads, but they're weak.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Probably they were brutal.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I remember as a kid, like my mouth like falling off.
SPEAKER_00My my jaw clenches when I know something sour is coming. Just from those. Yeah, because I can't even handle it anymore.
SPEAKER_01I remember doing it like we went to Idaho Grocery, I think I've told you this before, to get like candy at the old timey store for for a nickel. And uh yeah, we'd get tear jerkers and we would see how many we could put in our mouth at the same time. So we're having like four or five tear jerkers, and it's just like our mouths are like numb and it's just like drooling everywhere. And I had these sores on my tongue for probably a week.
SPEAKER_00I'm sure you can.
SPEAKER_01Like the sour had just like burned.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And now I can't taste anything.
SPEAKER_00That's probably what happened to your tongue.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, probably.
SPEAKER_00Don't do that, kids.
SPEAKER_01Some people lose it from smoking, others lose it from one day of sour. Yeah, one day of tear jerkers.
SPEAKER_00Alright, next up is the slang from the 90s. First up is sick.
SPEAKER_01That's sick. They still use that, right?
SPEAKER_00I don't know.
SPEAKER_01I feel like I hear that.
SPEAKER_00Sick. The next is dope. All that and a bag of chips.
SPEAKER_01Nobody really used that. That's like the what's that one from the episode? She's all that. Or she ate and left no crumbs or something like that. What was that one?
SPEAKER_00Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_01That's just a ridiculous one.
SPEAKER_00Uh the next one is tight.
SPEAKER_01Tight? I think I use tight.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I don't know if I could ever really take myself seriously though when I said it. Like I was saying it to try and be cool and like fit in. But I was always like, that this is kind of dumb. This is not tight.
SPEAKER_00The next one is Word.
SPEAKER_01Word to your mother.
SPEAKER_00And then Awesome and Cool, which have just been around forever.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And then Off the Chain.
SPEAKER_01Off the Chain. I remember that.
SPEAKER_00And last one. Talk to the Hand.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah. I forgot about that. Talk to the Hand, because the face ain't listening.
SPEAKER_00Doesn't understand or don't understand or something. I don't know. Alright. TV shows. We have friends. Boy. Oh, you want to do that friends?
SPEAKER_01You can't just list them all.
SPEAKER_00Sorry.
unknownSorry.
SPEAKER_01You can just run through them and not talk about them.
SPEAKER_00Friends.
unknownOh, friends.
SPEAKER_01So when that show was I vaguely remember, like they wanted to call it like friends like these or like friends, these friends, or something like that. I'm glad that they didn't. Yeah. Friends. Yeah. And I heard that like it was supposed to be Monica and Joey and Rachel and Ross. And like Chandler and Phoebe were just side characters that were like kind of helping and supporting. Like that was the original plan and idea.
SPEAKER_00That's not how it worked out.
SPEAKER_01Nope. Mostly.
SPEAKER_00Rachel and Ross off and on. That was a good show.
SPEAKER_01It was so fun. Yeah. The only thing about that show, and it is very 90s, is like it's uh just a bunch of white people. Yeah. A bunch of straight white people. Right. Like I don't know. Just not very inclusive. Yeah. It's still a very funny show, though. That's a good show. I love that show.
SPEAKER_00Next one is Boy Meets World.
SPEAKER_01Oh, Tapanga.
SPEAKER_00Kevin. Okay, crazy.
SPEAKER_01No. That's like every you I don't know how you would find this out, but go talk to boys from the 90s and ask them what they thought about Tapanga.
SPEAKER_00The next one is Blossom.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, she was also in Big Bang. She was like, I like her. I don't remember her name. I just lost it. It's a little bit different name, right?
unknownCrap. What is her name?
SPEAKER_01And I never really watched Blossom all that much. Because I was a boy and that show was uh led by a girl. I wasn't allowed.
SPEAKER_00Very sexist of you.
SPEAKER_01Uh sorry. Ten year old me was kind of a jerk. Sort of like a bee.
SPEAKER_00Mayhem?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, May Mayum Beckham.
SPEAKER_00Baelick?
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00It was good. Alright, next we have Dusty.
SPEAKER_01What do you remember about that though? Did you used to watch it?
SPEAKER_00Joey, her brother.
SPEAKER_01Oh.
SPEAKER_00Whoa. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Maybe I did watch that show more than I thought, because I remembered Joey quite a bit.
SPEAKER_00He was in another show too. What other show was he in?
SPEAKER_01Oh. Maybe that's what I remember him from.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I don't know.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_00Anyways. Dawson's Creek. I actually never watched this show.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I never watched it either.
SPEAKER_00But everyone loved him.
SPEAKER_01I want to say Trent watched it. We'll see if he calls me or texts me again.
SPEAKER_00No, I didn't.
SPEAKER_01This is how emergency services work. And I did not watch. Maybe he watched One Tree Hill. Maybe that's what it was. He watched one of those like teenage soap opera shows. I know he did. I know you did, Trent. The next one is Sabrina the Teenage, which is Vitamin C, that girl who sings that song, graduation song, We Will Still Be Friends for right? She was on that show for a little while.
SPEAKER_00Oh really? Yeah. I don't remember that. Is she one of her friends?
SPEAKER_01I I think so. Yeah. She was just on for a short time. Like when her song blew up and everything, so she was big and popular. She was on a couple TV shows and different things.
SPEAKER_00Next is Moesha.
SPEAKER_01Moesha. Who Brandy. Brandy. Okay. Yeah, I was trying to remember. Gabrielle Union? Is that her name? She's married to Dwayne Wade. Yeah, Gabriel Union. I get those two confused. Because they both had like music and acting careers, right?
SPEAKER_00Did Gabrielle sing? She had a Brandy had a little thing with Monica.
SPEAKER_01Oh maybe that's what I'm thinking.
SPEAKER_00They did that the boy is mine song.
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay. Yeah, that's what I'm thinking of.
SPEAKER_00Alright, next is Buffy. I never watched this one either.
SPEAKER_01I think they just did a reboot of this. But I don't think it made it.
SPEAKER_00I thought they were not gonna do it. Did it get canceled? They were going to, but yeah, but then cancelled before.
SPEAKER_01Sarah Michelle Geller? Yeah. Right.
SPEAKER_00I think 90210 also. Never watched this show.
SPEAKER_01Never? This was like m this was because I was the youngest of my family, right? Like my siblings, my older siblings, right? They were all like I think super into this show.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Maybe my memories, like like this and what there was like Party of Five and like Melrose Place. Those were all like the the cool shows that like the older teenagers watched.
SPEAKER_00So I don't know if my sister watched any of them.
SPEAKER_01She's not that much older than you though. Whereas like my my siblings are like five plus years older than me. Like I remember Perry? Luke Perry. Is that his name?
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Was like the bad boy.
SPEAKER_00Alright. Next is Fresh Prince.
SPEAKER_01Yes. I loved this show. Such a good show. Good job, Will Smith. Yeah. Yeah. So fun and just like lighthearted and fun and had a good message and just everything about it was so well done. So funny yeah I still I still will watch this show from time to time. Yeah and like I every episode I feel like I remember like I don't feel like there's ever anything new. Oh really?
SPEAKER_00Yeah that I ever should be the next rewatch series.
SPEAKER_01Oh for us to go rewatch it. Yeah they remade this one too didn't they? But it's like I think they remade it but it's just like a drama. Oh now it's not it's not a comedy. Drama it's not a hard comedy in the first few seasons right was like very late 80s early 90s where him and his his DJ Jazzy Jeff yeah yeah like just their like those super bright colors with all like the designs and stuff. Yeah very like 80 late 80s early 90s and then they then they got with it.
SPEAKER_00Yep then they changed the next is home improvement. Yeah Tim the tool man Taylor I loved Jonathan Taylor Thomas JTT mm yeah that show was super funny too we went somewhere in Salt Lake and I got an autograph picture of him.
SPEAKER_01Oh lucky guess what I don't know where it is yeah like like all of your stuff all of your cool stuff from when you were a kid is just like gone.
SPEAKER_00I don't know. But the next one is Sister Sister I always love this show.
SPEAKER_01Yeah what are their names the twins?
SPEAKER_00Tia Tia and Tiara Tia and Tamara Tamara not Tiara Tamara and I was like the nerdy boy next door Marquise Houston he was a singer and I always thought it was cute when I was like why do you guys just like him? Just wasted on the boy next door all right next is we'll go down here to Goof Troop Goof Troop from the Disney Channel?
SPEAKER_01Yeah that goof troop and like a goofy movie loves those I absolutely love that movie a goofy movie yeah goof troop is a great little TV show but a goofy movie I didn't remember Goof Troop until I saw a picture of it. I was like oh yeah oh yeah they made a TV show yeah yeah goofy movie is in my top ten movies yeah our kids have seen it many times it is just from start to finish just a masterpiece I love it if you haven't seen it go watch a goofy movie next one is Tails Oh now I want to talk about goofy movie right because he's like he's in high school wants to be cool and like be a part of everything lots of good songs yeah back when they had a just a ton of good songs. I mean I guess Disney movies still have some good songs but these are just yeah just like and all around like animation back before everything was computer like kind of right on the end of of animation. Yeah super fun super fun well done and the the guy Maximilian he's voiced by in full house you have like the oldest daughter DJ and then her boyfriend I forget his name Steve and then it was like Steve's best friend I forget this guy's name. Anyways a little bit of a going way back yeah there the next last one is Tailspin yeah I do remember tailspin with uh baloo yeah right it was like from the jungle book but now they're all like anamorphic characters flying planes and stuff yeah I had toys of these that I would fly around probably from McDonald's tailspin trying to remember how the song goes I don't remember the tail I keep the duck tails theme keeps coming into my head as I'm trying to do this. I almost said ooh yeah because well there's something like that when they're like whooshin'by yeah tailspin all right moving into movies 90s movies first one is clueless okay yeah I love this movie yeah uh Alicia Silverstone and then the girl who died right yeah Brittany Brittany Murphy yeah and it has uh the guy from Scrubs Turk Turkleton is what I always call him Turk Turkleton you think my name is Turk Turkleton Scrubs was funny all right the next one you love Sandlot oh yeah yeah David and I used to watch this all the time yeah I was like and I was the 90s movie yeah I wasn't even like I don't think I played a single season of T ball or baseball. Yeah I don't I didn't watch any baseball didn't care for baseball at all but the sandlot when it came to the sandlot I was your biggest baseball fan there ever was yeah Benny the Jet Rodriguez name who got the lifeguard to kiss him and married her the big yeah at the end I loved how those movies were like that there's like The Sandlot Stand by Me like where like the story goes and then you get like the narration over the ending where like it tells you like where everyone ended up next one is Titanic. Oh that movie was huge so big yeah the the and it was like what three hours long I think I saw long I think I saw Titanic and I was what probably like a 15 year old boy I think I saw Titanic three times three or four times. Oh really? Yeah like I I think I went once with my girlfriend of course I was obligated to and then I was like I want to see this again and yeah I think I watched it three times.
SPEAKER_00Oh really?
SPEAKER_01Yeah at like at the movie theater.
SPEAKER_00And the next one you also like.
SPEAKER_01Well was there like a what was your favorite part of Titanic? What's the that you remember? We were like this is amazing.
SPEAKER_00Where he gave her the raft they were on and the door yeah he's like never forget me.
SPEAKER_01Yeah never what doesn't he say something like never let go and then she pushes him down in the water. Does she Goodbye You're dragging the raft down and it's cold Yeah I think they like that movie won so many awards. I'm remembering now the the sound of everything freezing that scene that you were just talking about because I remember in the movie theater like people were so into this movie that like it's just like dead quiet. And so you could hear all this stuff happening right and like yeah they're she's on the door and he's like in the water and like you can hear like like ice like forming as they're talking. So I think they won like like even sound like was SFX sound effects yeah sound effects awards and like all sorts of stuff.
SPEAKER_00Yeah sure just not better than a goofy movie but it comes close all right two more on here two more movies and then we'll do songs and songs is it okay the next one is also one of your favorites the Lion King yeah JTT also did a good job here. Yeah yeah Lion King the Heartbreaker yeah I'm pr I like I I I cried yeah at that scene when the dad dies yeah okay spoiler alert hello who hasn't seen the Lion King there's gonna whole generations haven't yeah it came out in like ninety five well people that are listening to us probably have heard it that also had a lot of good songs in it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah uh we're good one the last one is Dumb and Dumber. Yeah I also saw this one a couple times many times this was probably a little early for me. I think this was in the early nineties so like I I don't think I could go to it I don't know if I saw this in the movie theater.
SPEAKER_00I don't think I saw it in the movie theater either.
SPEAKER_01But I watched it on TBS a lot.
SPEAKER_00I don't know where I watched it but I watched probably TBS but I love bathroom humor and so this scene's like my show. Yeah especially the scene where hilarious where Lloyd you can't give it away I would guess more people haven't seen this than I can it's hilarious you should watch it so many quotable that movie's very quota dumb and dumber yeah so many quotable scenes you have two pairs of gloves yeah Harry we're in the Rockies he's freezing all right songs I have a list here so we'll try to cut some of it off can I guess some or just say some what's that country song Don't Take the Girls Country Songs.
SPEAKER_01Oh I remember that song being huge I didn't even think to do country songs what's wrong with that why would you not? Country song country is music too Ashley I love country music doesn't sound like it what else you got oop there it is I remember that being played like just people blasting it. I don't have that one on here oh do you remember that song though? Yeah it is that's like all it ever said too I don't even know the words of that song other than that. I have no idea I mean all the in the like when did InSync come about? Were they late nineties early 2000s?
SPEAKER_00They were in the nineties I don't think I have any of them on here either. Yeah like I remember them on TRL and so like that would have been when I was a little bit older so it would have been well I know I went in high school to their concert okay so it's like late nineties. They have to be in the nineties.
SPEAKER_01How old is Justin Timberly started in ninety five I guess forty five sport in eighty one and so he was dancing and singing in ninety five he would have fourteen yeah he was young I need to go back and look at this because I don't remember him being a such a little boy. Yeah all right Nirvana smells like teen spirits yeah I think Nirvana would have been like they were they were very big but yeah it would have been just like Beatles. Yeah big maybe not quite as big as the Beatles but like yeah huge if if that hadn't have happened. Yeah next is Blackstreet oh yeah no diggity no doubt play on play out then notorious B I G with Mace and Puff Daddy Mo Money Mo Blooms yeah that was that the album or just the song because that album they put out was it get no like I want to say I almost said get rich or die trying but that's 50 had to do with like they were like dressing old timers like I think it it might have been the album name and the song yeah that was a really good really good album you gotta separate the artist from the art yeah because one of the people who's on there TLC no scrubs want no scrubs scrubs and then who made the there was a guy group who made like what do you call that like a kickback to that song called No Pigeons? I don't know that's funny. Have you never heard that song?
SPEAKER_00You should look it up the next one is Aaliyah Are You That Somebody So I know the singer I don't know if I know that song we can also play it later.
SPEAKER_01Did she die in a plane crash? Yeah okay she also was gonna be really big yeah Cermix La Baby Gap back was that nineties are you sure that wasn't in the 80s?

SPEAKER_01Didn't they play that at baseball games all the time?
SPEAKER_00They played it everywhere. Even I was somewhere the other day and the kids at the school were doing it. They know the Macarena Stop it yeah just let them have fun actually I've had enough the Macarena Alright that is it do you have anything else you want to add?
