SPEAKER_00

Welcome to the Cashley Show. We are Kevin and Ashley.

SPEAKER_01

Hello.

SPEAKER_00

We started this podcast after recent tragedies to take a break from negativity and discover the good things happening all around us.

SPEAKER_01

Get out of here, negativity.

SPEAKER_00

Today we actually gonna change up the show a little bit. Kevin had some ideas, so we're gonna change things up a little. We're first actually gonna start out with a shout out. So our friend, our friend's son, Taven, is graduating from high school on Friday, so we just want to give a shout-out to Taven.

SPEAKER_01

Way to go, Taven.

SPEAKER_00

Way to graduate. Good luck in college.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it's all downhill from here, buddy.

SPEAKER_00

No, college is good.

SPEAKER_01

No, I peaked in high school too. Don't worry about it, Taven.

unknown

It's fine.

SPEAKER_01

Still lots of life to live. To slow decline.

SPEAKER_00

I feel like high school was not a great time.

SPEAKER_01

That's because you weren't cool in high school.

SPEAKER_00

I was not. I'm not sure if I've ever been cool. All right. Next is we're gonna do a laffy taffy each episode as well. So this is just a little funny jokey thing we're gonna say. Not always like a question. Just like this one's actually just like a funny little thing. All right. Cleaning with children in the house is like brushing your teeth while eating Oreos. Get nothing done.

SPEAKER_01

They just make more of a mess.

SPEAKER_00

They do. Like chasing them around cleaning up after them.

SPEAKER_01

Now it makes you wonder is there Oreo flavored toothpaste?

SPEAKER_00

I feel like the polisher that our kids went our two of our kids went to the dentist today. I feel like they have like a cookies and cream.

SPEAKER_01

Which is Oreo. Our youngest.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah. Our youngest had marshmallow today.

SPEAKER_01

I feel like this is a mixed signal. You have lots of cavities. Would you like Oreo or bubblegum?

SPEAKER_00

The dental hygienist was fun though, and she she picked a flavor and he had a guess what it was.

SPEAKER_01

Seems like it'd be easy to guess, though.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Immediately she put it in his mouth and he was like, marshmallow. She's like, I'll have to do a harder one next time.

SPEAKER_01

There's not gonna be a harder one unless you have like air flavored.

SPEAKER_00

You have like coffee flavored, something he's never had before.

SPEAKER_01

I bet he wouldn't. Yeah, I don't I don't know what he would do if he had coffee flavored something. Um they need to go back to disgusting flavored stuff. Right? Like medicine tastes too good now. I know kids think it's like candy. They're like, uh, I'm not I don't feel so good. I need more of that medicine. It's like it's medicine, it's not a treat or a snack.

SPEAKER_00

Yep. We've had several kids that do that.

SPEAKER_01

Right?

SPEAKER_00

Can I have some of that? What's wrong with you? Nothing? No.

SPEAKER_01

No. Like just disgusting.

SPEAKER_00

What is it like? Cola syrup, coke syrup? I don't want to say coke syrup.

SPEAKER_01

The one I'm thinking of was like black licorice, like Nyquil or something.

SPEAKER_00

My mom's like, it's just like a having a can of coke, but it just hasn't any sugar in it. It was like vomit-inducing, yeah. Nasty.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I've thrown up multiple times having like old school cough medicine. I mean, I guess it probably made me stop coughing because like I threw up and now there's all that business.

SPEAKER_00

It also made me stop taking medicine because it's nasty. You'll still take like that liquid Nyquil and yuck. No, thank you. I'd rather suffer.

SPEAKER_01

I feel like I am suffering from taking that.

SPEAKER_00

I'd rather suffer for a longer period of time than take that nastiness. Alright, next we are going to do a hot take. So this is just something we're gonna talk about, just like a funny little quick little thing to chat about. Yeah. So do you prefer toilet paper over or under?

SPEAKER_01

Over seems weird.

SPEAKER_00

Under my bum is usually where I put like, do you like when you put it on the toilet paper roll holder? Do you like the toilet paper to come over or under?

SPEAKER_01

Over is kind of the only way that it should go.

SPEAKER_00

Well, so my sister's ex-husband was like, You can only do over. Yeah, you can never do under. And I I've never really cared except at night when I'm trying to pee and I'm like, where is the end of the toilet paper? I'm like trying to fill around the stupid thing.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, so is that why you want it when it's under? Because it's already hanging off.

SPEAKER_00

No, I no. I I usually am okay with it over, except in the we have a bathroom that has the toilet paper in the wall, and it's a very tight fit. And if you don't put it under, then it then it like rips all apart, like separates the the layers and gets all crazy.

SPEAKER_01

Uh I don't know. Yeah. Well I've noticed. I'm usually the one that puts it on though.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. So if you notice, it's always under because I hate it being all crazy. I need the layers to be matching and not off, because it it drives me nuts.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I don't know. Yeah, I mean I choose I say over because then where people are grabbing and touching the toilet paper is also what they're using. Versus like under, you can like push it up so then it rolls out. And so then someone is manhandling your toilet paper that you're gonna use later. Which seems weird.

SPEAKER_00

Well, it's worse when it's a public place.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, right?

SPEAKER_00

When someone When a stranger when you can see that they've held onto it and ripped it.

SPEAKER_01

It's all wadded up and a little bit wet. Just waiting for those. What movie was that? Sea Shells, Sylvester Stallone and uh Sandra Bullock. What is that movie? It also has Wesley Snipes. Sylvester Stallone and Wesley Snipes are like frozen into the future, and so then they go in the future, and they don't have toilet paper anymore. They have like these seven shells or something. And he doesn't know how to use them, but you get tickets if you use swear words, like they have robots everywhere or whatever. And so you get tickets issued to you if you use swear words, so he just has a bunch of swear words and takes all the tickets into the bathroom with him to use his toilet paper.

SPEAKER_00

Demolition Man?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Demolition.

SPEAKER_00

I've never seen that show. 1993.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Yeah. It's a Sylvester Stallone action movie. Oh. So I wouldn't expect you to really see it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I don't know if I've ever seen any of his shows. All right.

SPEAKER_01

So what was our hot take? Toilet paper goes over?

SPEAKER_00

We prefer toilet paper over, except our one bathroom under.

SPEAKER_01

In this house, toilet paper goes over. Okay. Glad we're it's not really a hot take. I don't know. Were we supposed to disagree?

SPEAKER_00

No, you just like give your two cents about whatever topic I tell you.

SPEAKER_01

Quick hot take. Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_00

Sometimes it'll be like random foods or okay. Yeah. You'll see.

SPEAKER_01

All right.

SPEAKER_00

All right. Today's episode is Mutt, Sweat, and Beers, the legendary Redneck Games. So every summer for years, small towns gathered for one-of-a-kind celebration called the Redneck Games. This just have the wife carry? This I think so. This no longer actually takes place. But some of them seem kind of fun. Some of them seem to be a little bit more.

SPEAKER_01

Why doesn't it take take place anymore? What happened to it?

SPEAKER_00

Ah, they just stopped doing it. I don't know. Okay. Mud flew, wild contests took over, and laughter filled the fields. As regular people became legends for a day, instead of fancy sports or strict manners, the focus here was on fun, outrageous activity, and keeping traditions alive with playful spirit. These this started in East Dublin, Georgia in 1996, when locals decided to poke fun at the Atlanta Olympics. Nearly 5,000 people showed up for the first Redneck games, and the event quickly became a hit, full of laughter, cheers, and wild stories. Although the games paused in 2013 due to fewer attendees, they returned in September of 2023 for one last lively round of Redneckin' for Jesus.

SPEAKER_01

Redneckin' for Jesus? Never heard that before.

SPEAKER_00

That was the name that year.

SPEAKER_01

I think I know why attendance might have faltered.

SPEAKER_00

Think you have the magic touch? In this popular event, people flick an unlit or used cigarette as far as they can with using just their fingers. The trick is in the wrist. Tuck the cigarette under your middle finger and thumb or thumb, then snap it with style. Most flicks go 20 to 30 feet. Wow.

SPEAKER_01

And that is quite a bit further than I thought.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's not the furthest, though. Well. Competitors get creative, but any sneaky tricks like adding weights are not allowed. The unofficial distance record is an amazing 60 feet.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it's unofficial though.

SPEAKER_00

Well, none of this is official. It's a redneck game, so they're officially rednecked.

SPEAKER_01

If Jesus is sponsoring it, it's official.

SPEAKER_00

For those who like to show off the world record for the most consecutive flips is 68. All right. Next we have Bobbin for Pig's feet. Get right in there.

SPEAKER_01

That's gross.

SPEAKER_00

Imagine huge huge tubs filled with cold water and raw, slippery pigs' feet.

SPEAKER_01

Is this not a health hazard?

SPEAKER_00

I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Anyways, keep going.

SPEAKER_00

Contestants get 30 seconds to dive in, grab a foot with their teeth, and pull it out. No hands allowed. The clock counts down, the crowd cheers, and the winner is the one who gets the most pig's feet before time is up. The unofficial record is seven feet in 13 seconds.

SPEAKER_01

I thought you had 30 seconds.

SPEAKER_00

Well, they did it in 13.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, because that's it. There's only seven in there. That's as many pigs' feet as you can fit in a Walmart tub.

SPEAKER_00

Yep.

SPEAKER_01

Alright.

SPEAKER_00

A tote filled with water and pig feet at the bottom.

SPEAKER_01

And there's just a bunch of pigs now just wiggling around because I ain't got no legs.

SPEAKER_00

Alright, next is seed spitting.

SPEAKER_01

Just like watermelon. Mm-hmm. Okay. No, maybe we did this as a kid.

SPEAKER_00

Did you guys like it? Back when watermelon had seeds. Yeah. Oh really?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I don't think I ever did that. Watermelon seed spitting. Grab your seeds and get ready to launch. Contestants line up, put a fresh watermelon seed on their tongue, and spit as far as they can. No tools allowed. The best spitters curl their tongues like a funnel. Judges crouch down to measure every inch. The record to beat is an amazing 75 feet two inches set in De Leon, Texas, in 1995.

SPEAKER_01

But this was before the the games then.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's just a record for watermelon seed spitting was before the games.

SPEAKER_01

75 feet is an incredible distance to spit a watermelon seed. Jeez.

SPEAKER_00

Alright, next we have toilet seat throwing. So this is like horseshoes, but you're using a toilet seat instead.

SPEAKER_01

Why?

SPEAKER_00

And the little horseshoe, like the metal pole, is like a plunger. Okay. Instead of horseshoes, you throw plywood toilet seats as a target. You is usually a plunger about 20 feet away. The rules are simple, but the names are funny. If you land a perfect toss, it's called a log jammer. If the seat leans on the stake, it's called a deuce. Throws often reach 40 to 50 feet.

SPEAKER_01

I can spit twice that far.

SPEAKER_00

Throwing a wood toilet seat around. Next one is the mud pit belly flop.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, so it's like this is like high dive. But redneck style. So we got judges that probably judge how good your flop is. Yep.

SPEAKER_00

Contestants get a running start and dive into a huge mud pit, trying to make the biggest and boldest belly flop possible. There are no judges here. The crowd's cheer decides your score. Having a big beer belly helps, sending muddy waves everywhere. The winner gets a unique trophy made from a crushed beer can, along with bragging rights and the envy of everyone watching.

SPEAKER_01

I'm sure.

SPEAKER_00

Oh it's fun. Next one is the big hair contest.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah. Whoa. That that girl got some big hair.

SPEAKER_00

You thought Utah girls had big hair.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that's that's a more than a bump.

SPEAKER_00

This contest is all about wild hair, towering buffants, and rock star mullets that seem to defy gravity and good taste. Contestants use plenty of hairspray, teasing combs, and sometimes wild props as they show off their looks on stage. Both judges and the crowd laugh as the most creative hairstyle wins the crown. Prizes include flashy fake medals, beer can trophies, and a chance to claim the biggest hair in the South. Next one. Yep. Wet t-shirt contest.

SPEAKER_01

This has been around for a long time. You ready? Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Woo-woo!

SPEAKER_01

He really knows how to wear that wet t-shirt.

SPEAKER_00

It's a bigger guy with probably someone else's white tank top on it because it's a bit small.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I imagine this guy won the belly flop mud thing earlier in the day.

SPEAKER_00

And then won the wet t-shirt contest on this one?

SPEAKER_01

Yep. He's he's a champ. He's a redneck Michael Phelps. Just taking home all the medals.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, there's nothing to say about that.

SPEAKER_01

It's just what it is.

SPEAKER_00

You know what that is. Next one, armpit serenade. Look at this little boy. Got a microphone right up to his armpit. Playing a song. Step right up and get ready for an armpit symphony. Contestants take the mic, pump their arms, and make the loudest and funniest armpit noises they can. Each act is a comedy contest, and the winner is the one who gets the most cheers and laughs from the crowd. Next one. Bug zapping by spitball.

SPEAKER_01

I don't understand.

SPEAKER_00

So hold on. Ready, aim zap. In this contest, competitors carefully aim and shoot soggy spitballs, either with a straw or by mouth, into a live bug zapper. When the spitball hits, it makes the crackling zap and sparks fly, which the crowd loves. The best shooters win a trophy topped with crushed bud light can and a title of spitball sharp shooter of the day.

SPEAKER_01

How do you win?

SPEAKER_00

You have to get the most spitballs in this bug zapper.

SPEAKER_01

This doesn't seem difficult.

SPEAKER_00

You have to make it through the tiny squares. Seems hard.

SPEAKER_01

Oh. So if it But aren't the tiny squares what zap it?

SPEAKER_00

I thought it was the light inside the tiny square, that blue light inside.

SPEAKER_01

Oh. Okay. I don't know. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You're probably right. Okay. So you gotta make it in there, then it hits it and zaps and okay. Alrighty.

SPEAKER_00

I wonder if it's done outside because it'd be kind of smoky with burning paper. Next one is dumpster diving. Dumpster diving is taken to a whole to a new level at these games. Brave contestants jump into a muddy dumpster diving.

SPEAKER_01

Everything's gotta be muddy on the redneck.

SPEAKER_00

Yep. Full of strange items like fake feet, pigs' feet, dead fish, beer cans, soggy boxes, and all sorts of junk. With almost no visibility, they grab as many items as they can, using only their hands or teeth. Racing against the clock. Winning and getting filthy means you have the fastest hands and the strongest stomach around. That would seem like it would be slippery and someone's gonna get hurt.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, which is why redneck games ended. Yeah, maybe.

SPEAKER_00

I couldn't find any pictures of this one.

SPEAKER_01

Huh. Yeah. Do you think they use like a so is it a real dumpster? Like a one of those big dumpsters, like a the truck comes with the two arms and picks up over the front?

SPEAKER_00

That's what I was envisioning, but I guess the bobbin for apples was in a tote, so I don't know. I don't really know.

SPEAKER_01

Dumpster can be a pretty loose term.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. The next one is hubcap hurling. The wife Carrie might not be on this.

SPEAKER_01

That's okay. I know about it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Why throw a frisbee when you can toss a real car hubcap? Contestants wind up and launch these metal discs across the field, trying to see how far they can go. There's no official records, just the excitement of the throw. The sound of metal and the cheers as hubcaps fly through the air like silver UFOs. Looks like a seems like it'd be hard.

SPEAKER_01

Like a athlete is what I think of when I see him. That guy thrown there. Just athlete. It's all that comes to mind.

SPEAKER_00

He's just got his camo shorts on, no shirt and a hat, and he is ready to throw that hubcap.

SPEAKER_01

Looks like he's been throwing for about 50 years.

SPEAKER_00

Since 2006, the Minto Canadian Redneck Games have turned the small town of Minto, Ontario, into a lively place full of wild fun. Every year, locals and visitors join a series of quirky events, such as the mud slip and slide. Get ready for a wild ride. Organizers lay out a huge tarp down a grassy hill, holding it in place with logs and dirt. They pour water down from the garden hose and they add dish soap to make it extra slippery. This sounds like our house.

SPEAKER_01

Yep. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Contestants throw themselves headfirst, spinning and sliding as fast as they can. At the bottom, a muddy pit awaits, promising a messy landing and lots of laughs from the crowd.

SPEAKER_01

We don't have a mud pit at the bottom. We have a tarp filled with some water. Yes. Kids kids seem to enjoy it. They love it.

SPEAKER_00

The neighbor kids come over. We do use soap as well.

SPEAKER_01

Gotta be careful of soap because you know get it in your eyes.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Next one is the mud pit tug-a-war.

SPEAKER_01

See, mud's everything.

SPEAKER_00

Mud's fun. This is not your usual tug-a-war. A thick rope stretches across a muddy water and teams line up. Sometimes it's people, other times it's trucks or ATVs chained together. As muscles strain and engines roar, the contestants begin. The losing side slips and splashes into the mud, cheered on by the crowd. For the vehicles, it's tire spinning, mud slinging contest to see who can pull the other into the muck first.

SPEAKER_01

That'd be kind of fun to see. Yeah. Like ATVs and trucks and stuff.

SPEAKER_00

Next one is mud pit volleyball.

SPEAKER_01

They just were like, what what else can we do in the mud? Yeah. We have a lot of mud here. We else you guys want what else y'all want to do?

SPEAKER_00

So basically it's volleyball in the mud.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Volleyball in the sand is tough enough. You can't, it's so hard to jump in the sand. I can't imagine no one's jumping in the mud.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So not a lot of spikes going on in the unless they lower that net.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Or it's not really that muddy, just a little bit muddy.

SPEAKER_01

Or I wonder what the net's even made out of. What a redneck volleyball mud pit, mud pit volleyball net is made out of. Like the old the I imagine like the what are the six-pack rings? Just like I was thinking crochet. Crochet. Nice.

SPEAKER_00

All right, as the sun sets and the last muddy winner takes home their unique trophy. One thing is clear the rednet games are more than just an odd contest. They celebrate community humor and the fun of letting go. For everyone involved, it's not about winning or losing, but about making memories that last long after the mud is gone. Alright, so next up.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so I think I think we need more stuff like this. Like just like fun stuff. People are just going and doing things. Like it's not necessarily organized, right? They're not getting real trophies or money. There's not right. It's not this big, like structured thing. It's just this like fun event where people go and just have fun.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, like communities get together and just have fun.

SPEAKER_01

Right? Like they used to have like block parties and stuff, right? Like was in San Lot. Right? They have like that big block party where the kids all the boys all go play baseball under the fireworks.

SPEAKER_00

Here in Utah?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that was here in Utah. Yeah. We need community stuff again.

SPEAKER_00

Yep, that's true. Bring us closer together.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Alright. The last thing we're gonna do is a little game. So Kevin's gonna choose What kind of trophy do I win?

SPEAKER_01

Is it a smash beer can?

SPEAKER_00

No, you can have a smash soda can.

SPEAKER_01

Pass.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, sorry. You win nothing.

SPEAKER_01

This game sucks.

SPEAKER_00

Alright. You get the joy of hanging out with me and doing a fun game. Oh, I love it. So what do you choose?

SPEAKER_01

I don't what are my options?

SPEAKER_00

I sent you a list.

SPEAKER_01

I feel rude looking at my phone when we're doing a podcast.

SPEAKER_00

No, nobody knows.

SPEAKER_01

You do.

SPEAKER_00

I looked at my phone to look something up for you.

SPEAKER_01

Alright, so what do we got here? Brain teasers, logic, trivia, riddle. What is this? Rebus?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, rebus? I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

What is that?

SPEAKER_00

You'll see if you choose it.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, that's intriguing already. Tongue twisters or lateral puzzle?

SPEAKER_00

Lateral thinking puzzle.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know what that is either.

SPEAKER_00

Well, choose one. Find out.

SPEAKER_01

You just choose one. Give it. Send it to me. Here we go. Whatever you're wanting to hit me with.

SPEAKER_00

So we'll do a brain teaser. A man pushes his car to a hotel and tells the owner he's bankrupt. Why?

SPEAKER_01

A man pushes his car. Read it again. You read it to me.

SPEAKER_00

A man pushes his car to a hotel and tells the owner he's bankrupt. Why?

SPEAKER_01

Because he's a lawyer and he was going to the hotel to tell him that, anyways, his car just happened to break down.

SPEAKER_00

Nope. One other guess.

SPEAKER_01

Read it to me again.

SPEAKER_00

A man pushes his car to a hotel and tells the owner he's bankrupt. You're thinking too literal.

SPEAKER_01

A man pushes his car and tells the owner he's bankrupt. So he's telling himself?

SPEAKER_00

No.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. I guess I guess I have been stumped.

SPEAKER_00

He's playing Monopoly. A man pushes his car to a hotel and tells the owner he's bankrupt.

SPEAKER_01

This is one of those pronoun things. Okay. Because he tells the owner that he's bankrupt. Yeah. So the owner, he's telling the owner that the owner is bankrupt, is how I hear that.

SPEAKER_00

No.

SPEAKER_01

But he's telling the owner, right? Like I didn't make up the English language and misinterpretation. It's because I I don't know. I think he is the I don't know what you'd call it, subject. And so when you say he's he tells the owner that he's bankrupt, he never switches context.

SPEAKER_00

And I couldn't have corrected that because I haven't played Monopoly in so long that I don't know who which person is.

SPEAKER_01

No, it was it was good. I was definitely stumped. I was trying to I think you were right. I was trying too hard with like wordplay and different stuff like that. Like a man rides in his horse, rides in on Wednesday, leaves on whatever, and like it's because his horse's name Wednesday, right? That's what I was thinking, was like some sort of wordplay. So it got in my head.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, do you have anything else?

SPEAKER_01

I think what is your favorite TV show, would you say?

SPEAKER_00

Ever? Or just right now?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, sure, whatever. What's what's the TV show you like?

SPEAKER_00

Right now, we just finished watching four seasons. Is there more to that name?

SPEAKER_01

I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

The four seasons on Netflix. Yeah. I really liked that. What about you?

SPEAKER_01

So I was mostly asking you because this was like a show that you like, and then we'll see if there's trivia questions to you about the show.

SPEAKER_00

See if I could get them.

SPEAKER_01

So this show might be too new to have trivia stuff about it. But we'll see. We'll see what we can come back with.

SPEAKER_00

I'm not even sure I can remember their names.

SPEAKER_01

So four seasons. I guess I'm just gonna have to like just kind of pull stuff out. Uh because there's all sorts of different stuff. Who wrote and directed it? Like that's not I want I have no idea. Yeah. And this is also yeah, so I mean this isn't I guess because it was a movie and then adapted into a TV show and then now adapted into another TV show. Oh. There's just lots of like stuff out there.

SPEAKER_00

I didn't know that that had happened.

SPEAKER_01

That should have been one of the questions, I guess.

SPEAKER_00

Yep, because I would have said no.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Just name the couples.

SPEAKER_00

I remember Jack.

SPEAKER_01

That's it?

SPEAKER_00

Yep. I don't even know who Jack is. I just remember the name Jack.

SPEAKER_01

And this is your favorite TV show. Yep. And you know the name of one character out of seven and you can't even seven?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I like the the the butt guy and the Italian guy. They're pretty funny.

SPEAKER_01

They're your favorite couple?

SPEAKER_00

They're my favorite people on there because they're funny.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I wouldn't say couple, because I don't that's really only one other couple. Yeah. But favorite people, those two.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Also, I don't think they're a very good couple. Well, like their marriage is not great. Yeah. True. Right, but them together is pretty funny.

SPEAKER_00

But like individually, I think they're hilarious. Yeah. The black guy's definitely the funniest ever. So who's Jack?

SPEAKER_01

Jack is Jack. I don't understand your question. What do you mean who's Jack?

SPEAKER_00

Which which character is Jack?

SPEAKER_01

Jack is Jack.

SPEAKER_00

But like, what's their real name in real life?

SPEAKER_01

Oh, Will Forte.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, he's married to Tina Faye, but I don't remember her name in the show.

SPEAKER_00

It's not just me. It's hard to remember characters' names. Like like friends. I can remember all their names because that was like ingrained into my mind.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it was like 10 years of it. Yeah, so there's not really You could do friends.

SPEAKER_00

How about that?

SPEAKER_01

Just do friends trivia?

SPEAKER_00

I might know some of that. Maybe.

SPEAKER_01

Now I want to I want to see what what I can remember and ask you questions.

SPEAKER_00

We've been watching it on HBO, just random episodes.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, not friends, fourth season. I was gonna see what I can what's the name of the lady. Don't know. That's true. You won't even you don't know the names of the characters in this show. How many kids do I get Jack?

SPEAKER_00

They have one daughter, and the other couple has one daughter.

SPEAKER_01

Also was wondering. Okay. Um Steve Carell. Yeah, I mean I want to ask you stuff like what's the name of like the dog?

SPEAKER_00

No idea.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, right? So like none of these would all right.

SPEAKER_00

Names are never my thing. This is what happens.

SPEAKER_01

This is what happens when you try and come up with trivia on the spot. Yeah. Things are this is not going well.

SPEAKER_00

No, well, like I'm terrible with names anyways. Like if I can't relate someone's name to someone else that I know, I can't remember that person's name. Five minutes after I met him. It's gone. I'm like, I don't even know your name. I give our kids a hard time because uh our daughter was, oh, this girl's my friend. I'm like, what's her name? I don't know. Is she really your friend then?

SPEAKER_01

That's true.

SPEAKER_00

But she's like me and can't remember names.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. We watched this episode just the other day. So you should get this one. When when Phoebe is pregnant with her brother for her with her brother. When Phoebe is pregnant for her brother, how many kids does she carry?

SPEAKER_00

It's three or four. No, four or five. Three to five. Three to five. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. I want to say it's three.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it's it's triplets. What else we got here?

SPEAKER_00

And she she walks like she's not pregnant at all.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, right. Who does Ross marry in Las Vegas?

SPEAKER_00

Rachel. Right. Because he married Emily kind of in England. The first wife. I don't I don't know. He was already married to her when it started, right?

SPEAKER_01

Oh yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So I assume she's he's not getting married in Vegas. So I would guess Rachel.

SPEAKER_01

Yep, it's Rachel.

SPEAKER_00

Don't remember that episode.

SPEAKER_01

Where did Chandler and Ross meet?

SPEAKER_00

College?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Pretty sure. I have to like answer this. It's not a question, and like here's the answer. I have to actually answer this, and then it tells me if I'm right or wrong.

SPEAKER_00

No, I hate those. I got out of them when I found those for my stuff. Like, I don't want to do that.

SPEAKER_01

What's what's Rachel's last name?

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I don't remember.

SPEAKER_01

It's a color.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

There's only so many colors that are last names. Like purple's not one, orange isn't one.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know. I'm thinking like Auburn Maroon. I don't know. Rachel Maroon? I know. Nothing makes sense. Brown, white, green, black.

SPEAKER_01

There you go. Yep, like it's green. But yes, those those were all colors that are last names. Maroon. Fuchsha.

SPEAKER_00

Rachel Fuchsia. Auburn would be a last name.

SPEAKER_01

Is that a last name? I guess it could be. I don't know anyone but the me either. I've never heard it. But Rachel Auburn. Sounds kind of weird.

SPEAKER_00

I didn't know it was green. I went too far, not basic colors.

SPEAKER_01

You were like me.

SPEAKER_00

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_01

Ooh, what's Phoebe's sister's name? Her twin.

SPEAKER_00

I don't remember. I'm terrible with names, I tell you.

SPEAKER_01

It's the name of a Disney witch from the 80s. Or nineties. No, maybe it was late 80s. I don't know. But when we were kids.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

Ursula.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, right. I was thinking a devil name, but not a gorilla. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Oh. How many babies are born on the run of the show?

SPEAKER_00

So Phoebe has three. Rachel has one. Nobody else has any. So just four?

SPEAKER_01

I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

I'm trying to type it in and it's because Monica and Chandler never have a kid. I feel like she was trying and didn't get pregnant.

SPEAKER_01

Don't they have twins at the end? When they buy the house? I'm pretty sure they do.

SPEAKER_00

I don't remember that. I think you've rewatched the series and I have not. So I don't know. I haven't seen it since the early 2000s.

SPEAKER_01

The quiz on my phone has stopped working.

SPEAKER_00

Oh.

SPEAKER_01

So seven. They're counting Ross's son Ben. I thought he was already born when the show started.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, because mine says three.

SPEAKER_01

Yours is super bad.

SPEAKER_00

Ben. It says Ben, Emma, Emma Geller Green, and the twins, Jack and Erica. But also That's not three.

SPEAKER_01

Yes. Yours says three, but then lists four.

SPEAKER_00

Well, because it lists Ben, but he wasn't actually born on there. So Emma and then the twins, Jack and Erica being. But also Phoebe had three kids. So barely six.

SPEAKER_01

Yep. I would say six. Okay. Well, again, my my impromptu show trivia didn't go quite as planned.

SPEAKER_00

It was fun. Remember, even a small act of kindness can be someone's beacon in their darkest moment. Choose kindness every day. Reach out to someone today. You have the power to change a life. Be the signal of hope this world needs.
