Welcome to Christians Off Script, a podcast by Jonah and Ashley Wesely. We are a married couple in our 30s who are learning to follow Jesus authentically and share both the difficulty and fruitfulness of Christian living today. Our story is simple and honest; we want a life rooted in Christ, filled with grace, repentance, joy, truth, and a steady pursuit of God. On Christians Off Script, we talk about marriage, scripture, spiritual growth, calling, work, church, and the challenges we experience when things do not go according to plan, where faith gets REAL. Although we, as Christians, do not claim perfection and tend to go off script, we are committed to growing, learning, and following Jesus together with each other and our listeners. Our goal is not to impress anyone, but to encourage, challenge, and remind you that following Jesus daily is worth EVERYTHING. Episode 1! We're Starting A Podcast!
In the first episode of Christians Off Script, we (Ashley and Jonah) share why we wanted to start this podcast. We discuss our backstory, how Jesus has done significant work in our lives, and how the Lord inspired us to begin this journey. We also talk about future ideas for the podcast and reflect on the verse Micah 6:8. Thank you to everyone who listens to this first episode, and we look forward to sharing more content in the future.
