This week on A Little Unhinged, we’re catching everyone up on the whirlwind that has been our life lately.

We share an update on Atlee’s epilepsy journey, including her recent hospital stay in Jackson, what doctors found, and where things stand now.

Then we switch gears and tell the story of how one of us almost got arrested. Yes, seriously. It may not be exactly what you’re thinking, but it’s definitely one of the more unhinged situations we’ve found ourselves in lately.

And of course, we couldn’t end the episode without diving into another “Am I A Little Unhinged?” listener write-in. This week’s submission has us asking: who’s actually the unhinged one here?

As always, thank you for being here and doing life with us. 💙

Tell me your project now, tell me your crowd. I'm not grassing now, I'm processing addressing what you do. Good morning, good evening, good night, whatever time it is, that you're listening. And welcome back to a little unhinged podcast. Hey y'all. Hi. We are so glad that you guys are joining us. How are y'all? We hope that everyone is doing well. Um how was everyone's week? Um our week, let's see. This week, well, this this week's been okay. Um, we had to take Atlee to Um to Jackson. So her neurologist is in Jackson. Um the the children's center. The I'm sorry, the children's hospital in Jackson. Um, that is where her neurologist is that we've seen since she was four years old. Um, we had to go down there. We'd be there Thursday morning at eight. So Atley and I got on the road uh right after five. Because from from my house in Batesville, Jackson is about two and a half hours away. And so we had to do that. Um she so she has to go every few every few years for a 72-hour, like a prolonged EEG where they um have her, they have her hooked up to the electrodes, like on her head, so they're they're monitoring her, um, they're doing her EEG or you know, her brain or whatever for her absent seizures. But they also have constant video, so she's under video, she's under recording too. And um they have to do that like every few years um just to see if she is still having the um, you know, if she still has the abnormal EG, if she still is still having the abnormal brain activity and the seizures off the meds to let us know whether she can start weaning off the meds or if she's, you know, if she still has to stay on the meds. Um, and of course we have to stop her medicine like a couple days before this to get a good reading. And we were supposed to have to stay uh Thursday night, Friday night, and Saturday night, which sucks. It really sucks for Atlie because she can't leave the hospital room at all.

SPEAKER_00

And she has all that on her head and electrodes and wrapped up and the glue and all the things.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, yes, that it takes when they're when they're putting all of that on her. Um, so she has I can't remember how many electrodes are on her head. Um it's a lot. It's you know, they start at the front, um, right here, they have them all across the front. I mean, like, you know, it's monitoring her entire brain, so it's all over the front, and then she has to have two orange. It's very uncomfortable. Um, and then she can't change clothes uh while she has this own. Uh it's oh sorry. Um it's it's you know, she's got a thousand wires coming out of the well when once they wrap her up, they leave room for her hair and all the wires to come out. Um, so she can't change clothes, but then she can't, you know, Chris and I can leave the room or whatever, she can't leave the room, period, for the 72 hours or however long we're there because she's under video too. So it sucks for her. Um, and then she has a little little like fanny pack battery pack and a long enough cord to where she can go to the bathroom or bathe or whatever. Um, but um this mom uh pulled her medicine a day early in the hopes that if they were going to see any abnormal or have, you know, or if she was gonna have any episodes that she would have them early, we we would get to go home.

SPEAKER_00

And as soon as she told me that, when like she called to tell me that Atlee was skin discharged, whatever, um I was like, uh only you that's exactly what you do because that way it's over with, y'all can go home and you're not sitting there a whole weekend. Like well, I mean I I was like, oh, if that if that ain't Brittany.

SPEAKER_02

I only I only pulled it a day early. And it's not just miserable for I mean, it's miserable for Atlie too, because she can't leave the room at all. She's she's literally stuck in the hospital bed the whole time. But um, we actually got to leave um Friday morning because they already could see what they needed to see. She was already having the abnormal brain activity, she had already had um some seizures uh off the meds. So thank goodness. Um Atley was so excited. You know, he just said this is a normal um EEG for Atley. Um, you know, it's it's it's no big deal. This is how hers look, you know. Um, the thing we love about her Dr. Ingram at Batson and Jackson is the best. He's absolutely great. And he actually has the exact same type of seizures Atley does. He's on the exact same medication Atlie's own, um, which is one thing we really like about him. And, you know, so he was like, it's you know, no big deal. She stays on the medicine, and we keep rocking like we're rocking, you know, and we were like, that's fine, no big deal. And um, it actually makes, you know, it may sound crazy to some people, whatever, but it actually makes Chris and I feel better because our big thing was, of course, was she, you know, he wanted to do this this summer because she will be 15 in December. We are we did already get her a car. Um, not that she can drive yet, but um we we we found her once, and buddies of ours had it was a good deal, so we went ahead and got it. But if she was gonna be able to come off the meds, she cannot drive for six months while she's weaning off of them. And I think I want to say it was there's another time period after that she had to wait. But Chris and I, our big thing was we were terrified, like, okay, what happens if what happens if she's off these off the meds, she has a seizure while she's driving. Like, we were terrified of that because when she was eight, I think, seven or eight, um she she was able to come off her meds completely and she was seizure-free without meds for a year. Well, then in fourth grade, they came back terrible. Um so that was our fear. So we actually feel better. I mean, of course, we we wish that she didn't have epilepsy at all, but we feel better about her having to stay on the meds because she's gonna start driving soon, and it just makes us feel better.

SPEAKER_00

And her atlas seizures aren't the type where you're you know jerking season, that kind of thing. Like hers are the absence seizures, just where like she's like goes into a blank stare, like out of it. Yeah. Doesn't, you know, she may have a really bad headache, but like she doesn't know, like she can't really move, like, you know, doesn't remember like what's going on, you know, that kind of thing, like an absence seizure. So she was diagnosed at three three. Um we her parents, then you know, us, because we were around all the time, had kind of noticed some, you know, things just like where she would be kind of like her head. Staring off, you know, and kind of like staring off or looking. Because didn't she have one in the pool at um Well that was she had one didn't she have one in the pool one time at like absence at um Sbeth's?

SPEAKER_02

Well she well, but that was the next day. So Gunnar's birthday party was actually the next day after we went to LaBonner that night.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And we noticed them. We counted like 14. We noticed them.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know. So like that kind of thing, when you do have a like a child that has that, like that things like that, like swimming, driving, you know, stuff like that is very scary. So that's why I told um Brittany, and they tend to like come back when girls are and that's what you know, hormonal changes, things like that, bring them back home. But um, I'm just glad that they have found the the right dosage, the right medicine to treat them, to stop them, basically, and you know, all that if she, you know, does have to have it and whatever. But yeah, they didn't originally start out at Bats and they have the neurologist in Mendoza.

SPEAKER_02

And then they found yeah, I don't care what's the one.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, the one there or whatever, and they've been there several years now and have loved him.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, he has been he's been amazing. Um that that was so when she was when she like I said when she was three, she so so she was a thumbsucker. And the the reason we first noticed it is she and she used to have the chronic and the absence seizures. She where the and the chronic was where like she would jerk her head, and that's how we first noticed it. Um, and I'll never forget Tracy and Mike, my in-laws, they had just brought her home, and we were we were outside, out back, under our um our back porch, and she had her little thumb in her, she had her little thumb in her um mouth, and like I know y'all can't, but like her head started shaking back and forth, and I saw it, and I was like, and she was like staring off like she was staring off like no nothing doing. And of course she was too little then for really anybody to you wouldn't you wouldn't know she was having the absence seizure if you didn't know what they were. But with her head shaking back, that's how we know I said, Tracy. I said, have you look at her? I said, have you seen that? And sh what it what scared me into a panic was she was immediately like, yeah, have you called the doctor about that? Like she knew, like she knew something wasn't right, she had been noticing them, and I was like, Okay, so um, of course, the pediatrician, you know, immediately set us up um and uh uh scheduled us an EEG at Laboner. And that's that's one of the other sucky hard parts about it is when something like that first happens, it's you don't get to see a doctor first. So you don't know what's going on. So it was a Friday. We had um an EEG scheduled for like three that afternoon. Um course, she's three years old, you know, and you can only imagine trying to hook up all these electrodes to her head with all the little glue stuff, you know, and she I mean we they we were having to hold her down. She was screaming and hollering. And like we could see her season, because then she then she had the clonic ones too. She didn't have those anymore. Like we could see her season, like shaking her head while they were hooking her up. I was like, oh my god. So they finished, and the little tech that did it, she was like, um, I'll be right back. And Chris and I looked at each other and we just started squalling. We were like, oh my god, what's wrong with our baby? You know. And she comes back in and she was like, Okay, I've talked to the neurologist on call, and he thinks there's something going on. Well, at the time, we still didn't, I mean, we still didn't know, like we still didn't think seizure.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, still didn't have a diagnosis.

SPEAKER_02

No, like we still we didn't have any idea what was happening. Well, I mean, I had good like I had Googled it, and that was everything I had gotten back was saying like petty mall seizures, like, you know, but I still didn't know. We still didn't know. So she comes back in, she's like, the doc the doctor thinks that there's more than just like an absence seizure going on. Y'all gotta go down to the yard. Y'all cannot leave till she's on seizure meds. And we were like, oh my god, you know, we were thinking like brain tumor, what so we were we were there for hours because the it was packed. So they put her, what they they put her on valproic acid at three, which I know people won't know what that is that don't, you know, have kids, but valproic acid is very, very strong. It's a very harsh drug. Um so they put her on that just, you know, to get her have her something. And Gunnar's third birthday was the next day at Miss at Miss Beth's house.

SPEAKER_00

That's my mother-in-law.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Um I know I'm talking like everybody knows who I'm talking about. And of course, you know, they couldn't swim then anyway.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, so we have their little like their little what were those. What are those couple?

SPEAKER_02

And um so much better than the old skills.

SPEAKER_00

God, those things are wonderful.

SPEAKER_02

You could you could just put them in there and not worry about them, just let them go. Yes. But um, and like I said, at the time, you could, you know, you could tell more because of her head, but we counted them in the pool, and she'd had like 13 or 14 that day, and we were like, oh my god, because the medicine hadn't gotten in her system yet. But anyway, so then I had a neurologist call me Monday and kind of tell me more of what was going on. And of course, you know, anytime you have um an abnormal EG or you have epilepsy, and hers is generalized, um, which means the epilepsy, it because some people have local, localized, which means for some whatever reason that it's happening on one side of their brain, left or right.

SPEAKER_00

It's localized to a certain like part of the brain.

SPEAKER_02

Right. At least uh bless her heart, she's firing on all neuros it's happening on it. Hers is all over the brain. Um, and so of course we had to go for an MRI because anytime you have epilepsy or seizures, of course, that's the first thing they're gonna do is do an MRI to see if there's trauma or tumor, anything like that. Um, and of course, as soon as we get the MRI results back and they call me at work, I'm freaking out because the first thing they say, this is still a laboner, first thing they say is, well, she has a pineal cyst in her brain. I'm like, oh my god, what is that? You know, but it it's nothing. I mean, it it's it's benign, it wasn't causing the seizures. I mean, me or Amber could have one right now and not know it. I mean, there, you know, she was probably born with it. So Atlas is unknown generalized epilepsy. I mean, we don't have anybody in our family that has epilepsy. I mean, we don't we don't know. And that that was the hardest part for me was like not knowing why this is happening. Um, but anyway, the um the valproic acid was horrible on her. Um it caused, it had a it's got a lot of bad side effects. Um it caused really, really bad UTIs because, of course, she's potty trained at this age. And um, I mean, they would have to call me from daycare to come get her because of her UTIs. I mean, I could I could hear her with my mother-in-law screaming in the background to go to the bathroom. She would have blood in her urine all the time. Um, so anyways, um actually a pharmacist friend of mine here in Batesville told me about this doctor, um, Ingram in um Jackson. And it took us, of course, I got all the, you know, I got right on the ball. I got everything from Baptist Center over there. It took us over six months to get in with him, and he's not even taking new patients, I don't think, anymore. Um, but uh he was amazing. And um at Labonor, they they were making us get MRIs every six months, which I mean, don't get me wrong. I mean, I'm not saying that's that that was not a bad thing. Um, but just her veins were always so hard to find. The nurses were blowing her veins out. Um, and I didn't know this at the time, but every three months she had to go get blood work done to check her liver and all that. I had no clue.

SPEAKER_00

The valproic acid.

SPEAKER_02

She was supposed to have been on the medication. I can't remember the name of it, but uh for her liver, because the valproic acid is so hard, she was supposed to have been on another medication with it. If they're uh under the age of four, I think, they have to take another one to protect their liver. Well, anytime we would go for blood work, they were blowing veins out trying to get it. It was horrific. It was horrible. So, uh water break. Sorry, y'all. I did something to drink. Anyway, so as soon as we started seeing him, he was like, uh-uh. He said, There's no sense in that. He said she she needs to be on this other medication with it. So he added that in. And then of course he wanted to do his own MRI there. Well, it was so much less traumatic. Like at Jackson, they give those kids gas to put them to sleep for the MRIs. Like, they ask you what flavor you want. Like the sheep she picked a good bubble gum, they put that gas on them and then they're out. I mean, it was so much less traumatic. Um, and then we um well I'm not laughing at that.

SPEAKER_00

What? I'm thinking about Gunnar having to have uh his uh his a couple months ago.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, oh, oh yeah. I didn't I didn't like Maba, you did not prepare me for this. He mentally wasn't prepared.

SPEAKER_00

And then as long as it took and some headphones wiggled and I mean he was just yeah I think they got started over because he moved and then phones.

SPEAKER_02

I should have got him some headphones because that no well and I yeah, it is a small space, but like for me that noise is just horrible.

SPEAKER_00

Like you're the contact yeah, like a drum just yeah, and it is loud, it is so loud.

SPEAKER_02

Sorry, I keep turning away from my mind.

SPEAKER_00

I had one year years ago for my back in um Charleston. They had the little mobile, and then Gunnar had to have it when we're the elbow, but and they had his arm like sandbagged and stuff, but yeah, he was when he came out, he was not happy. Traumatized, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Traumatized, yeah. Yeah. Um, but uh I don't know what I was gonna say.

SPEAKER_00

Um sorry.

SPEAKER_02

Oh no no no no he so we did have to we we did have to do a long, long one. Whenever we moved to Batson, he wanted to do that um because he wanted his own reading. He wanted to do the prolonged video EEG. So I don't know if you remember, we had to check in on a Monday morning at eight o'clock. And this one was the longest. We didn't get out till Thursday afternoon. We had to do which, but it was good because he was able to see, I think she was, I think by this time she may have been five or something. She he was able to see at that point that she was doing a lot better, and he changed her medicine off to Kepra off of that horrible valproic acid. So she went to that um from the valproic acid, you know, after doing that prolonged one. But um, so yeah, we've had a um, we have had a great, great journey. He has been, he is amazing. He's one of the best. He's amazing. Um, and he always tells Atley, you know, she's you're one of my favorite patients. You're one of, you know, and I'm like, You probably say that to everybody. And he was like, I really don't. He's like, you were just you were so sweet, and I love he always said he he says that he says, I do not have another patient that has all these freckles right here. I love the freckles, you know, and um he is he's I can't I can't say enough good things about him.

SPEAKER_00

Um he is amazing, but and he's very it's relatable since like I said, she said earlier, he has the same type of seizures, he's on the same kind of medicine, he's been on it. long term so any doctor that can relate to what you have going on is is helpful, makes you feel better. Yes. Um with you know course of treatment and plan and all that. Absolutely. Yes. We're glad that she's where she needs to be and know that she needs to stay on it and yes can go on about about her business.

SPEAKER_02

Yes. Well you know he told us the story about you know his did not start till he was a senior in high school. So and I he always makes fun of himself saying you know what a nerd he what a nerd he is, what a nerd he was um and this is you know Atlee has explained to me how her seizures feel and we talked about it some more if you can believe it which we didn't it wasn't like we had too long together but we didn't we actually didn't argue we had good talks. I was I was surprised too but he was um his so his school had a quiz bowl team and he was at a quiz bowl tournament and said that he got ready to answer one of the questions and he got ready to hit his buzzer and he said his brain was telling him to hit the buzzer but he could not like he couldn't hit it he couldn't hit it and you know he said he could like he could he he knew that like stuff was going on around him but like he he couldn't he couldn't move yeah he couldn't move he couldn't speak he was just out of it and you are you know for however you know the 60 seconds you know two three four minutes you can't you're un you're actually unconscious you can't it looks like you're daydreaming or you're ignoring but you know finally when he came to he was like I don't know what just happened but you know something's not right and that's that's how Allie you know he told us the story and she was like I know and she you know and she told she talked to me some more about it and you know she's like I can't you know I can't speak I can't speak I can't move and she said I don't know what's going on around me she's like I mean I I know that she she's like she said it's like I'm in this out of uh I'm sorry she said it's like something out of this world like like out of body almost you know and she's like I know stuff's going on around me but I have no idea what's going on and she said that I have no memory of what just happened or what happened leading up to it and well then after like so after she has one like her colonophin is her rescue reset medicine. So after she has one like Amber said she may get a real bad headache or she may have one before leading up to it. But when she has one then she has to go home take her coloni go to sleep and that kind of resets her brain and she's she's good. But um but she hasn't had I mean she's not had one in a over a year. I mean you know she says she's had moments where she felt like she might have you know but not like they used to be so she's do I mean she's not she's doing great I mean we're looking they're controlled. We're yeah they are controlled look we're we are we are not complaining at all we are so thankful because we could be it could be a lot worse so we are very very thankful um and all that but we uh we're glad she got to come on home and she was too because she she was um she was not looking for she was not looking forward to it so but um we had a pretty I don't think anything we had a good week I I I call that a win we had a good week yeah Mama's work is retarded I mean just crazy yeah yeah but yeah where it's just been crazy.

SPEAKER_00

I I felt like when summer got here and I wasn't like running like getting uh getting gunner to school and doing all that and could get started earlier and all that. And I'm so always say that I'm gonna do better with like taking a break during the day actually taking well you know a start early end early you know whatever and then I don't I'll end up sitting there they'll send billion requests or something at the end of the day and I end up working over so it seems like I started early and worked late about every every day. But um anyway I felt like I could get more caught up with summer but no because then I I feel like every no you've been crazy yeah every patient and their mama decides to change insurance or go move out of the service go out of the service area for a long time. All the stuff where they have to be discharged or insurance denials and I'm just like oh my goodness.

SPEAKER_02

Well then not to mention your from Friday personal you know I don't mean like you've had personal stuff going I just mean like having to run oh yeah here and there and then run kids here and there.

SPEAKER_00

My uh other one of my other hats is you know like chauffeur because I don't have anything going on you know so I'm not sitting here trying to work. So anyway having to stop to run gunner to um a friend's house or the golf course or somewhere. Yeah. And then I think I had a I don't think he had anything this appointments this week. I had a a dentist that's yeah appointment.

SPEAKER_02

That's another thing we were talking about. It's like it is nonstop either. Oh for real what have you got to get done tomorrow?

SPEAKER_00

I had a um this is my luck so I had a crown that was just over the like two year marked where it's like warrantied and um I really think that they grinded too much took too much off of it. Is she there?

SPEAKER_02

Oh you think they grinded too much off of it?

SPEAKER_00

I think they took my too much grinded too much down to get my bite right. So then and then like I grind my teeth anyway and I I I'm terrible about sleeping in the night guard. Like I don't do that like I'm supposed to but um anyway so it ended up just getting a hole in it and I went and they couldn't you know they couldn't fix it and need to be replaced but since it didn't have since it had been only two years it was no longer in warranty but it has to be like uh older than five years for insurance to pay again so it was like over a thousand dollars whatever so I waited and then I did something else so now I have to go get that it's like very very back tooth so I have to go get that pulled and then go.

SPEAKER_02

Did I know and maybe I forgot that you grinded your teeth like that?

SPEAKER_00

I didn't start this until adulthood well I haven't always grinded guards but like now I feel like I do it while I work.

SPEAKER_02

Well it's probably stress related.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah I think it is too but I see my since I am grinding my teeth and like I notice like something the way I hold my mouth or my tongue or something while I'm working I don't know anyway like I when they say that you when you get older or when you get 40 or whatever about things falling apart and uh yeah going downhill they're not lying so take that to heart have good insurance on all the things yeah all of the things um so anyway um now like I did not have um braces growing up or anything I do have like I could have used them to um correct in my bottom but it's not like terrible but anyway now my teeth have shift are shifting so they wanted to do um me to get in this line and I was like let me just think about that so anyway I have to go back to my um they're trying to hook you all up yeah and get that extra uh um my little uh my little broke bestie went to the that y'all met earlier in the week went to the movies with his little girlfriend that was sitting beside you in the podcast but I got so tickled because so they had planned this all week but um oh yeah I guess they weren't thinking and you know I didn't even know what they were going to see. I think they were originally supposed to be going to see the Michael Jackson movie. Well they ended up going to see this other movie that was rated R. So because I just if I had taken them like I just had intention zone, you know I was just gonna let them go watch the movie, pick them, you know, pick them up whatever I was going to be you know um helicopter mom and sit with them or anything but um since it was rated R the dad that took Gunnar and his little friend could not drop them off and leave. Like he got this whole like three minute lecture so he had to go to the movie with them and then AK's dad's dad had to go you know with them.

SPEAKER_02

AK's dad probably would have stayed anyway.

SPEAKER_00

Shout out to you Aaron Yeah so anyway um the movie was crazy um Gunnar was like it was nuts so Gunnar said something about like the girl gets like a con like a concrete cinder block and like in the car kills her boyfriend or something I was like I say I wouldn't have been a helicopter mom but I did stay last year me and um me and his friend's mom both stayed and um we just didn't sit with them. So I guess I um may have stayed I don't know.

SPEAKER_02

Oh Erica's right behind them.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah I know um but anyway he said the movie was crazy so Jamie took the boys and he was like we ain't gonna we ain't watching no more movies we ain't going back to the movies but they just can come over here and shovel some cows.

SPEAKER_02

Yep yep there we go they can come out to the country they can come out to the country.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah that's right no I mean not say it's any you know anything wrong with just sitting with each other no like I I you know wouldn't have just sat with them or anything but um because I I trust that they're not gonna you know get too much I'm just making sure that our little battery over here don't die. I know but we so we had a I guess pretty uneventful week.

SPEAKER_02

Oh I enjoy I enjoy Friday night so much my my peoples um when I say my peoples you know I'm talking about my little square um amber and and gunner uh and Brett um me and Chris and Atle we got in the jeep and rode around for a little bit and um then we met my bestie sister on the road Amber so I got in with her and so um we got to have a little we got to have a good little ride around girl talk sesh and then we went to meet um Jamie and Deacon and and pick Gunner up and then we got to have a little sesh little talk sesh with our little best friend back there in the backseat and then we all went to my house and I made rotel and we hadn't been up w we were we sat up at at my house and talked and and fooled around till midnight. Yeah that that's that was we haven't been up that late in a long time. But I enjoyed it so much I love when my little people are with me.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah I have uh I it had like I said been a been a work week and some other things so I've had a whole little moment so my favorite like if that happens you know I live in town now and I'm not a not a OG town girl supposed to anybody I have to get um out of town to the country but my favorite is to go out out there and see um the sunset and all and just ride so anyway well it's so crazy because I talked about them on in the most random and I well I had literally just text you and asked what what you were doing because I remember I was like I I was gone yeah I said I we're riding out here where are you and you were literally out there too because I don't know you know we got ESPN and I knew like I just knew something was you know so and I was like what are you doing? And then we literally because actually Atley I didn't even um I didn't even see you and Atley was like what the crap she's like that's Miss Amber that's her old myth tag and I was like I knew I knew and so I was like girl you better mm mm you better turn on around turn on around so somebody like I right after I passed y'all I was getting ready to turn around and this uh um vehicle come up to the stop sign and almost didn't stop and I was like okay run me over so I had to go a little further and get out of their way and turn around come back meet y'all but yeah I'm not looking forward to this um but this past week was like month in for um them trying to get all those billing requests and charts out so yeah that week's always worse but it's still piled up I still have some I didn't do at the end of the day Friday but um they'll be there and then tomorrow'll be crazy. I gotta um that appointment and then go um I guess I'm gonna go check Gunnar out for a little bit.

SPEAKER_02

Oh tomorrow yeah y'all tomorrow is Gunner's first golf tournament.

SPEAKER_00

I'm so excited Yes he has um and this first little whatever junior league or whatever um they are in has the first like well I think it's his second one but of the summer but it'll this will be his first one to um play in. So where are some of my friends are giving him a ride up there um because they're very much you know I'm rolling in on two wheels like late um everywhere I go and they're more like um if you're early you're on time. That's how Chris is yeah um he I think Chan has like a 920 tea time with his group it's three kids per group and he has so it's two other boys in his group and then Gunnar is in a different group with two guys and he has a um different hole but like a 950 start time. So anyway they're picking him up at 730. It's in San Tobio Okay So at the country club okay yeah so I um uh I think the boys both did uh Britney and us like not just Britney but Channy's mom like the same way um because they were kind of like are you coming? Are you gonna be there? And I'm like well you know I have to work and then I have to go get this tooth and all that and he's like oh I didn't know that. He's like you're not gonna be there for my first and I was like I know it's so it's the weekend so you know I was like I can't I can't like I may could call and reschedule you know this but I was like at least I'll if he goes at 730 with them I can wait work a little bit and then you know go up there while he gets started and see yeah a little bit and then at least um get back for that dentist appointment and let him um catch a ride back home and then I'll try have to work late into the night tomorrow.

SPEAKER_02

It's so I know.

SPEAKER_00

Anyway, so I'm gonna try to get there for a part of it. But um the carts are limited so it said you know to be repaired to walk it and bring an umbrella and a um water jug or whatever. So he'll be carrying he was hooking his harness like harness thing back on his golf bag so he can carry it on his oh yeah yeah so that's what I was saying it's 18 it is 18 whole okay yeah that's what I was saying earlier in the week something kids how many 80 something I guess between all the age groups oh is it different schools no different ages but this is not a school related uh oh that's right that's right that's right they don't start until yeah well those don't start until later so you know at least not at least not gonna play she says she's not says she's not doing it she says she's not good enough and that she I'm like Atlee I already like I already talked to like I talked to Coach Culp like I mean I told him at graduation I'm like you know she needs a lot of work and he was like I know I know I'm all you know we're gonna get her there she says she's not doing it so well she's um doing her two softball teams then that's I mean it is a lot of you don't want it to it is a lot you know they say some people like it'll mess with their swing and things like that so some lessons her hitting coach did kind of say something about that it it lessened you know sh she didn't I mean she didn't she wasn't negative about it or anything you know she just she just was like I don't know how people do both you know the s with the swings and stuff but I mean she didn't care you know but Atley just said she just said she didn't think she wanted to she just wanted to do softball so you know it is what it is but she may find something else that she wants to do once they get going with um school because there is some so many different things you know too but not that not that top ball does not be her easy enough oh my gosh yeah I know especially this this summer like I'm telling you I think Chris is wrong and Atlie says he is too I was trying to find the schedule because they have um so they have summer summer games this year and I said Chris I said I don't think they've ever done that and he said yes he said yes they have he said because they um they did them last year he said because I had to go work and like cook during some of them I said I think you're thinking about like end of the year maybe playoff games or something because Aaliy said like Aaliyah was like no aliy said they've never done this before I said I don't think I don't think they have either like summer like summer ball softball games I don't remember for y'all or look going and watch Emery no I'm telling you I don't think they look look at all those they've never done that I'm telling you Chris Christmas got to be he's got to be mistaken those are all summer so yeah so I mean like I don't I don't you know a lot going on this summer okay I have to put y'all own to one of my favorite places and it's the honeybee coffee cupboard.

SPEAKER_02

I'm there literally every morning it's part of my routine at this point latte and egg bites in hand before I can function. The coffee is amazing the atmosphere is so welcoming and it's just one of those local spots that you end up loving real quick and listen if you haven't tried their cupcakes of the week yet what are you even doing with your lie they switch flavors and they are dangerously good. They have several different breakfast options to choose from and I use the online ordering and order ahead every morning so my order is ready when I get there. So whether you're local or not stop by Honeybee coffee cupboard grab your coffee try a cupcake and the breakfast and tell them I sent you um so yeah and then well I get I mean and I'm I'm guessing that that they have to go to all these we'll you know we'll have to find out but um but yeah it's it's she's gonna be busy it's a lot um what else was I gonna tell you um oh I haven't um we we haven't been on here we haven't been on here um well I was on here it well it had happened when I was on here with the kids but we didn't talk about it I I we have not talked about it on the podcast yet um so I thought I would fill everyone in today on me almost getting arrested at the dang roses in Clarksdale yeah thought I was gonna have to um call one of the guys at work to come bail me out of the Kahoma County jail y'all I mean I'm I'm telling y'all I'm still mad about this I won't go back in there and I and me y'all know me and Amber love some roses. Well I was in there two weeks ago and my little um which I have I actually ordered me a good one from Amazon this time but my little phone my little phone holder that sticks to the windshield I had gotten one year ago forever ago it from roses I mean it has served his purpose it was like seven seven dollars and it had broken not mad about it well so I'd gotten one the night before at the Banked Full Roses um and it broke whatever they're cheap so I was looking for a couple of other things um you know we had gotten at least a car and she wanted um some certain things to go in there and she ended up loving the little tree scents the you know y'all know the little trees um what am I air fresheners so she ended up loving the Bayside Breeze that I use it smells so good by the way y'all should y'all should get y'all some so I was looking to see if they had any more in there I was looking for something else specific for her car. So anyway I grabbed another one of those little phone holders that um like the one I had gotten in there. Well I I mean I had it in my hand I was walking around the store with it looking for my other things and I guess she's the manager she saw me in the back of the store with it and I mean my purse yes looks like a suitcase but okay well and it was opened. I didn't realize at the time it was open like it wasn't messed up or anything just you know those little like the little pieces the little plastic pieces that you have to like you know remove to open the whole box it was just that like I I didn't notice it at first it wasn't messed up or anything so no big deal. Anyway so I had it in my hand I was walking around the store looking for some other stuff you know you know sometimes we just we may just be looking for 20 minutes so I go up there to check out and I noticed it was open. So I asked the lady that checked me out I said this is open I said and I think it's just like the one that I got and the one I got last night was broken. I said can I open this up and see in it first she was like uh I'm like I I know you ain't gonna tell me no so she asked the manager and she was like I mean yeah if it's open she said that's the one you've been walking around the store with the whole time I looked at her and I said what you think I'm gonna do you you you must have thought I was gonna steal this $8 piece of anyway I I was a little a little upset sh no she said no girl no I didn't think you was gonna steal that okay so I check out I went ahead and bought it because at that by that point I was I was gonna buy it anyway just to prove a prove a point yeah so anyway I check out I'm walking out of the store with my bag and my receipt like I'm literally I opened the door to go outside two cops are walking in as I'm walking out and the cop says hey ma'am what's your name I said Brittany what's yours he said ma'am I need you to step back inside the store I said okay which I honestly like I mean I was kind of scared because it is Clark's jail like I thought somebody might be on the loose outside like I wasn't thinking me I said okay uh what's wrong ma'am I just need you to step back inside the store so I get back in there and he looks over at the l at the I guess she was the man he looks over at the lady and I'm telling you she was hoping that I was gonna be gone by the time they got there because her the look on her face was like oh shit and he she said oh she said we're all good here what's y'all it's like what what what y'all doing you know like surprised they were there and so why did he ask your name?

SPEAKER_00

Because it wasn't like she was gonna know your name. So I wonder I I wonder if they saw your I don't know I w I wonder if if there was something else why they asked your name.

SPEAKER_02

Why what do you that I hadn't posted that until until later on so they didn't see that. I don't know that I that's crazy why they would ask your name that's you know that's the first thing yeah yeah that's the first thing they asked but that I mean they made me they wouldn't let me leave until she said that everything was okay and so anyway when he's whenever he said whenever she looked at him whenever they you know whenever she said we're all good here or whatever and he said okay ma'am you're that those were his words well okay ma'am you're free to go huh I turned around I looked at her I said I can assure you I make plenty of money to um what what did I say I said I make plenty of money I was just pissed you know I wasn't trying to sound whatever but I was pissed I said I make plenty of money to buy what I need to buy in this store and I said you y'all have a nice day thank you or something I can't even remember what I said but I I was so mad and um so anyway so then I I forgot to tell you this so anyway I made a video about it I was going off I posted it on TikTok and Facebook but I did have um somebody comment it was Miss Vicky Reynolds um she did comment and she like she was upset she said Brittany she said that is racial profile I didn't even think about that really is she said Brittany that is racial profiling that is wrong she said you need to call the corporate main office and did and you know which I didn't but she was like uh uh that's exactly what she was doing and she said that is not right I was like you know what I that really is there really is I should that's exactly what I should have told her is because I'm white ever when Brett did that that's that's all I can think about because I'm white but anyway so that's um that's what's been going on um besides Attlee in my life oh and then of course the lady troll that was making fun of my big sunglasses which it did I mean it's like stuff like that it's just doesn't bother me but I just thought it was funny. I didn't comment back but I should have I should have you know what I should have done you know those glasses that the kids had the little jokester glasses I should have put those on and posted to reply to her comment you should have asked her what was her address you would send her a pair that's right that's what I should have done yes that's exactly what I should have done oh my gosh but um you gonna have to um you're gonna have to talk night next while I uh get a drink.

SPEAKER_00

Okay um oh sorry I was thirsty well guys um I actually had a I actually hide something that I that I think's really good that I wanted to talk about today but um you know sometimes we get on here and we just start talking about whatever and we just change our whole um subject so we'll get we'll get to this one at um you know at another time because I do think that it's really good um oh she told me to talk that's why I was like are you gonna hand me the paper or will you want me to talk about it when so I think oh she texted me about her incident at Roses before she posted it on Facebook and I'm like which nothing ever surprises me with with her and um when just saying talking about Atle's EG all the video stuff I'm like oh my god I hope they have the video exclusively on Atley and not not are they listening to you because it's no telling what what you had going on in that um in that room while you were multitasking she'd have made a desk out of the couch cushions in the hospital room. I sure did but yeah you I never know what's um she's done or what's about to no nothing when she texts me. I have to kind of look like you know you'll get a a notification and so I kind of have to glance so if I'm working or something just so I can see like you know if it's Brittany just some normal chit chat or if it's something like oh my gosh you know like this just you know I have to see if it's what level of alert and how how quick I need to read the message.

SPEAKER_02

Well that's an that's a whole nother thing you talking about so I I really don't I really don't like and I I know I've been doing it lately but I mean I'll just I'll just come out and be honest. I don't really like posting on that stuff on social media but my friend Hannah that you know she's she does all the TikToks and the Facebooks and all that and she makes extra money doing it so she's been you know she's been telling me like what to do and she's like you need to do this I mean you can make extra money and so that's that's why I have been doing it lately because I mean if I can make some extra money where I can make it and I you like and I'm all for that.

SPEAKER_00

With some some things you just have to be um careful so I guess I can't do it uh as freely with my job and things like that. Um or I'd have to be I have to be careful. But anyway yes I I'm all for all for you making uh any extra money. But some of the stuff like and I'll have to fill you in once we get off the podcast um some of the things like I've noticed in other people you have to be cautious even if you're hands free about video and while you're moving. Oh yeah I know people and people are gonna talk well no matter what I do but um and then um you know just be careful what you share but like yeah your your Raw's Raw stuff and and all the things like that that's that's great. But I am also not like I will I'm gonna show some of the things but then like I feel like some things like some honey holes you don't share because you were doing it for a while but then you kind of stopped. Well my phone well my phone messed up yeah I just didn't just driving. But I don't have my thing out so I can do it again on once I find time.

SPEAKER_02

But um that's another thing but go ahead.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah I do have to get a new phone but I did take that um privacy screen thing off because it messed when I'm gonna put it on there it covered my camera so the forward facing I had to stop my TikToks for a while. But um and then I've just gotten gotten the honey what? That's like where you catch fish like your honey hole. Oh oh sorry you can't tell where you catch all your fish because then everybody else goes and gets catches your fish and you won't catch any I do gatekeep on some things. So what are you supposed to do I don't tell like you tell you you go tell where you get all your discounts and bargain stuff and then you it's not gonna be there because everybody else is going to go get it. Well then you don't have anything to make videos about that's what I'm saying you gotta find your niche or so or whatever but like some things like I d that's some things I don't share.

SPEAKER_02

But yes your your things are yeah those are good anyway sorry guys um but no what I was what I was gonna say was though so Facebook Facebook TikTok is TikTok is fine but Facebook won't let me um receive any payouts I'm still fighting with them you know I told you that because of my Facebook account being hacked in 2021 they have restricted my profile and so I said okay well then I'll just go make another Facebook page wrong it's still controlled by me so it doesn't matter so I'm very frustrated with that right now like that was something I mean you remember I told you I was on the dead gum phone with Facebook. Facebook done called me about it because I was going back and forth with them on the messenger or whatever. Um but then I got had to talk to like the the payout people and all and I'm still going back and forth with them. But um so I was like well if I if I'm not gonna get paid then I'm I'm not posting these videos because I don't really like to anyway but then when I talked to the other the payout people they were like no don't stop posting because we're trying to unlock your account and then you know if we get this resolved then you know you could get payout for all the so I don't know this crap's too and then it's like you said too like I don't see how because you know I may record something but then finding the time like to post it to you know that I mean that that's to me that's a lot is you know recording all this stuff because it takes a minute to post it to TikTok and then to Facebook and if you have to edit anything. Yeah right right so anyways I'm trying it don't love it I mean I don't that's the thing is like I don't really have anything to rec to record or talk about if I don't talk about going into Ross's or going into wherever I mean like when you were posting your stuff about like what you know you got this whatever it may be like this candle or whatever. Um I mean you had to tell where you got it.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. Well that candle was garbage so but I did I did come back in and say about that. Yeah. Yeah. Because they were th those had gone like viral on um oh really top that scent and talk about that but no I forgot you said it wasn't that good.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

It smelled good when you open the door but it's not anything you can smell or the last in your house.

SPEAKER_02

When you burn it yeah well um I do love my I had to go to Bath Body Works the other day and I do love my white gardenias. Like I have to keep them in stock because I burn them up so much. They are so good. Um that's another thing y'all I did I did do a video about that and I don't buy them unless they're on sale but they were um they're usually $25 and they rolled stuff for $15 at Bath Body Works the white gardenias they are my absolute favorite. Like I I don't even you know I love a volcano I love the blue volcano and I still have a couple of those in my house but I don't even burn those like I'll burn my white gardenias. I love them so much and then I love the laundry detergent. I know it's expensive for a laundry detergent even on sale because I mean I look I get the huge um value thing of um I think it's up and up brand I ordered from Target and I mean I get a huge thing of that for like $9.99 so I mean yeah you know I know it's a little and it was on sale too um I think they were like get uh two for thirty which is expensive I know but it smells so good oh it smells so that's what Tracy commented on it and she's uh I I I now I'm I'm glad I know that I know she uses that. She said the fresh cut lilacs was her favorite too.

SPEAKER_00

So I can that'll be something I can um well I did no no shopping other than going to um I bought some things at the I got stuck in the warehouse today when the it started pouring so I was like around so because I couldn't get I got to the car today yeah so I bought a couple things in there and then um we had to have some grocery stuff but I didn't deliver order I did not go to the store so well I didn't get um I didn't get anything in Raw's the other day when I went I just went to um see what they had but um I like to keep my I don't know if you watch that video I like to keep at least uh like you know four to six candles in the house because I have let's say I have one one two three I have four spots where I keep the candles permanently and when I'm home I keep the candles lit I may have all four of them lit so if they run out I gotta be able to replace them and so um that's the only that's the only thing I got was the candles and the laundry detergent but um I should have I need some more wallflowers I use those too I should have got some more until Friday no one of those days for like $395 maybe yesterday but I didn't even look I should have looked I just saw it online what else did we need to talk about we had a we had a lot of updates to share today um but anyway I'm glad that uh I'm glad that um it took up the whole time we're all we're almost out of time um oh and we did get um we did get some messages um about I keep saying um I'm sorry because I keep forgetting what I'm saying but we did get some messages I know Amber did too about the kids podcast last week um we got some messages about that and um that it was good and you know that they enjoyed the kids and you know like you know well y'all's kids are sweet and um I can't remember what Amber said um but yeah what we yeah it was saying kind of the same thing maybe or yeah I touch on that about um about Gunnar being sweet yeah he is raised raised a good kid yes he is a sweetheart he he is he is a sweetheart and I've we do have um uh we do have an ALU write in this week um this one I have to do like uh a L U and I was like a little unhinged a little unhinged like what is she talking about that's what no Chris does the same thing too even when I like if I text him he's like uh what's ALU I'm like a little unhinged it's just it's just quicker than saying the whole thing yeah um this one's funny okay uh my husband and I have been married for 12 years every time he leaves the house I check his location not because I think he's cheating or anything because I genuinely like to know where he is if he's if he stops somewhere unexpected I'll text and ask what he's doing kidnosy is that what you said uh oh yeah okay keep going oh if he turns his location off wait I have a comment about that if he turns his location off I immediately assume he has been kidnapped he says that it's really weird and that grown adults don't need to know each other's whereabouts 247 I say that it is called being married and concerned so am I a little unhinged okay yes uh sorry um yeah you yeah that's unhinged first every time you leave the house you're gonna go look and see where he's at and track him the whole time that is no she needs a lie no I I don't have that's a little psychotic that I don't have time for that I I mean I'm not I'm not looking at anybody's location like that I mean my you know not even my 14 year old kid like if I if I need to pull like if I I mean if I need to see you know if she's home like you know if if it's in the afternoon and I'm trying to see okay if I'm trying to like plan you know or something and I need to see okay did she go home or did she go with her dad or did she go with her grandmother I'll look and see but like heck no yeah you were a little unhinged and I but I will I will say this too for him uh why is he turning his location off I will say that for him I don't know why he's turning this location off that's weird but and then when he stops you're gonna text him girl what's wrong with you do you have a job boo boo uh uh yeah that's that's crazy no no yeah I I was getting yeah I was looking at you to get your your thoughts um yeah no yeah a little that's a
