✨ Beyond Belief ✨
Faith isn’t a finish line.
It’s not a trophy you polish and place on a shelf.
It’s not a box you tick on a Sunday morning and forget by Monday.
Faith is movement.
It’s the road under your feet.
The wrestle in your chest.
The questions that wake you up at 2 a.m. and refuse to be silenced.
It’s the doubt that sharpens you.
The wonder that pulls you deeper.
The holy tension between what you’ve been told… and what you’re discovering for yourself.
Here, we wander the wild corners of Christianity.
We tear into the ancient stories — not to tame them, but to let them speak.
We wrestle with mystery.
We confront comfortable clichés.
We look again at a God who refuses to stay small.
Because maybe faith was never meant to be safe.
Maybe it was meant to be alive.
This is not about arriving.
It’s about becoming.
Welcome to Beyond Belief.

Welcome to Beyond Belief, where ordinary lives intersect with the extraordinary presence of God. Today, we explore what it looks like to live a life that experiences God, to become aware of his presence and aligned with his will daily. This is episode 9: Living a Life That Experiences God, awareness, and alignment. Have you ever gone through a day without sensing God's presence? Or maybe you know he's near, but life pulls you in so many directions that awareness fades. God isn't distant, he's active, present, and inviting us to notice him. Awareness is the first step, alignment the second. Together, they transform ordinary life into a life that experiences God daily. A lighthouse doesn't move, yet its light shines for ships in need. The keeper watches, adjusts, and aligns the light to ensure every ship sees the path. So it is with us. Staying aware and aligned allows God's presence to shine through our lives. To experience God, you must first see him at work and then align with it. I remember a time when life felt chaotic. I prayed, I read scripture, I attended church, but I didn't sense God's presence. It was confusing because I was doing all the right things. But my days still felt spiritually dry. Then I realized something. I was busy, distracted, misaligned. God wasn't absent. My awareness was clouded. One afternoon, I was rushing through my day. My phone kept buzzing, emails were piling up, my mind was already thinking about the next thing. Then something unexpected happened. I felt a quiet nudge in my spirit to call someone I hadn't spoken to in months. It seemed random. I almost ignored it. After all, I was busy. And there was nothing urgent about that call anyway. But the nudge stayed with me. So I stopped, picked up the phone, and made the call. When the person answered, their voice cracked. They told me they were in the middle of one of the hardest days in their life. They had been praying, asking God if anyone cared. And then the phone rang. In that moment, I realized something powerful. God had been working the entire time. The only thing that changed was my awareness and my alignment. Once I began daily pausing, noticing God's movements and adjusting my steps to align with his leading, life changed. Simple moments became sacred. Decisions became guided. My ordinary day was now extraordinary. In Proverbs 3, verse 5 to 6, we read, Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your path straight. A compass points north. A traveler who follows it will reach the destination, even when the path seems uncertain. Awareness of God is like seeing the compass, and alignment is like choosing to follow it. Many of us want to experience God, but struggle to notice his movement. We feel busy, distracted, and overwhelmed. Yet awareness is available to everyone. We see it in ordinary life. The word in a sermon that hits your heart. The stranger who shows up at the right time. The quiet reassurance in a prayer. Awareness is noticing God's fingerprints. Alignment is stepping into obedience. Think of an early morning walk. The world is quiet. Birds sing, dew sparkles on leaves. You notice things you miss during the rush of the day. That's awareness. Now, align your pace with what you see. Adjust where necessary. That's alignment. Awareness without alignment is observation. Alignment without awareness is aimless action. Together, they create a life that experiences God. Romans 12, verse 2 reminds us: Do not conform to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Awareness begins with noticing what God is doing. Alignment is responding to it faithfully. Transformation occurs when awareness meets action. God is inviting you into a partnership, not passive observation. Elijah stood on the mountain, waiting for God. Suddenly the wind begins to roar. It tore through the mountains, shattered rocks, and howled through the valley. But God was not in the wind. Then the ground began to shake. The earth trembled beneath Elijah's feet. Stones rattled, cliffs cracked. But God was not in the earthquake. Then flames burst across the rocks, fire flashed through the air, heat radiated across the mountain. But God was not in the fire. And then came a whisper, a gentle, quiet voice. And Elijah covered his face, because he knew God was there. God moves where eyes are open and hearts are willing. Imagine a man walking through his day, errands, emails, meetings. Suddenly a simple act, a word of encouragement, a timely smile, a phone call feels divinely orchestrated. He notices, pauses, acts. That small alignment opens the door for God to do extraordinary things: healing, reconciliation, provision. Awareness transforms ordinary moments into divine appointments. So, how can you cultivate awareness and alignment during your week? First, pause daily for intentional prayer and reflection. Secondly, ask God to show you where He is working around you. And lastly, step into obedience and align your life with His movement. One simple act, paying attention to a need, responding in faith, can set off a chain of blessings and miraculous opportunities. In Colossians 3, verse 17, we read this and whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. A life aligned with God's movement is a life that experiences him daily. Imagine living every day, noticing God's movements, aligning with them and participating in his work. Your ordinary life becomes a canvas for extraordinary encounters with God. Awareness and alignment unlock the fullness of God's presence, transforming every mundane moment into sacred opportunity. Here are three questions for you for this episode. Where am I blind to God's movement in my life? How can I align my daily actions with his guidance? And what one step of obedience will open me to experience God this week? Pray this prayer. Lord, open my eyes to your movement, align my steps with your purposes so I can experience your presence fully. And now, may you notice God's fingerprints in every moment. May you pause long enough to hear his whisper. May your steps align with his purpose and may your ordinary days overflow with his extraordinary presence. Thank you for listening to Beyond Belief. Share this episode with someone who wants to experience God in every moment. Remember, awareness plus alignment equals a life that experiences God. God bless.
