We kick off Respectful, Your Wrong by explaining why we built a ranking show and why wrestling is the first season. We trade our Attitude Era histories, argue what “Attitude Era” even means across WWF, WCW, and ECW, then put our names on a Top 10 that ends with a wild number one pick.
• why in-person pods feel like real conversation
• the ranking format and why debate is the point
• why wrestling is the first season theme
• WCW roots, family introductions, and first live events
• defining the Attitude Era beyond just WWE
• tape trading culture and discovering regional and Japanese wrestling
• how we watch wrestling now through clips, PLEs, and dirt sheets
• our personal Top 10 picks and the logic behind them
• Chyna’s role in DX and why recognition matters
• Kane’s debut and why presentation sticks
• Mick Foley’s characters and why he elevates everyone
• The Rock, Stone Cold, and Undertaker as era-defining forces
• the Steve Blackman number one reveal and why vibes count
• building a shared “collective” Top 10 and who gets cut

4400 Shelbyville Road come there every Thursday. It’s actually 6 p.m. If you get there at 6 p.m., you can see the pre-show Overdrive that’s being taped for next week on YouTube. $10 general admission.

Welcome And Mic Talk

SPEAKER_07

What's going on, people? Welcome to the first episode of Respectful and Young. I am the board, Mr. Bad.

SPEAKER_06

What's going on, Joe?

SPEAKER_08

This is so weird holding the microphone like this. I just I ain't used to this, so hey, what's up?

SPEAKER_07

You know, I do my podcast on Zoom for the most part. Yeah, yeah. Um I don't know the microphone. I do it probably two, two, three times a year. But I enjoy three-person podcasts. Yes. It gives you more of an actual film, real conversation. Don't be wrong, I love the Zoom. Shout out to Judge Living. You know, with mixed vibes, she lives in South Carolina. So ain't no doing that one in person. Right, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

It's no impersonation with that one.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. Then, you know, from our perspective, with me and Dion, our schedules get kind of hard.

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_07

We can't really record to Annaya, and I don't want to ask him, Hey, don't you ride out to the under end of town to record a podcast?

SPEAKER_08

You know, and I love that we have stuff, you know what I'm saying, now where you could do that kind of stuff. Like with Jersey, you know, living in South Carolina, y'all can still do something, you know, or schedule's not working out with y'all, y'all can still do something. But then when you can, you know, do this kind of thing, yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, now I've been talking about ever since I asked you, yo, can we do this? And you said, Yeah, I've been talking about it. I'm sure shine that I'm on the levels. Because it is like again. I enjoy the in-person five. Yes. So it's like, yeah, to me, I'm busy. Yeah, really. That's what we're talking about. Right. The fact that we're going to do this is like, yeah, well it is.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, it's good.

SPEAKER_07

So uh what you won't tell him what we're gonna do here, or you won't mean to tell him? You're very good at this, man.

SPEAKER_08

So go ahead. He's been doing this for a very long time.

SPEAKER_07

Five years.

SPEAKER_08

Yes.

SPEAKER_07

So the name of the show, like I said, is just respectful in your wrong. Joke at moments. And because he said it sounded like something I would say.

SPEAKER_08

If you go and listen to all the other things that he does, you can't come to me and tell me that does not sound like something he would come back and say.

The Show Name And Format

SPEAKER_07

No, when I read the talk, she was like, Yeah, that sounds like you. Yes, as you as you, that's what you would say. Yes, really sound like I do. Images, and I'll be like, What really sound like it was really a flight game? They'd be like, Yeah, dude. Yeah, I don't know. I just be living, I guess. That's it. Yeah, I'm just living. So, so now respectfully wrong is the name of it. Um, what we're going to do is we're going to rank things. Why? Because people love the debate. So we're gonna come up with our personal rankings, and then we're gonna come up with a ranking collector. So uh and then people like to debate, right? Yes, people love the debate, people love the debate, and I'm hoping once we put our list and stuff out, people will debate us and get us a traction. Yes, because they don't want to argue with us, yes. And then I had the idea of we're doing things, when do a season we're doing seasons and we're new things.

SPEAKER_08

And I feel like the best theme for the first season, if you look around here, it's wrestling for the things that you can't see or you can see in here, yeah, yeah. Don't mind poor old mean gene had a slip up over there one night and I just haven't fixed him.

SPEAKER_07

There's yeah, we're not saying there's wrestling over here, yeah, wrestling over there, at least on things, yeah, right. Yeah, wrestling over there.

SPEAKER_08

Wrestling here, here, right here, here, here. If you go in my closet, by the way, there's a full, like one of those authentic scale wrestling rings on the floor there with the announcer's table and like all that shit set up right next to it.

SPEAKER_07

So, and then there's this fancy, beautiful light up uh that when my son walked in, he's like, What do you say? You collect all of this or something.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, they can collect all of this, yes.

SPEAKER_07

So and my son's asking questions about who these people are. So I was like, the first thing, the first thing that has to be available. It just makes it makes the most sense. Yes, as I continue to look over at all the rest of the stuff.

Why Wrestling Is Season One

SPEAKER_08

So I feel like wrestling is so you know what, man, I gotta ask, dude, that just made me think about this. Like, we haven't really talked about this much, but you told me earlier, well not earlier, rather last night when we're talking about this. Uh you mentioned something about WCW. Like we're talking about these things, you said, Oh, I thought you were gonna diss WCW. Yeah, I'm like, never would do that. You then you told me you were like, I'm a WCW guy. And so that got me wondering, like, how like how did you get into wrestling? You know what I'm saying? Like, what was your introduction into it? Like, what's your I guess your history with it, your background with it?

SPEAKER_07

So wrestling has started with me was my sister. She was a uh uh well, she was a big Goldberg fan, but she watched wrestling before, yeah, but she really got into it with Goldberg. So then she took us, she well, she took, well, me, her, and a couple of our friends, which way uh they had an event that she did at Freak of Hall. And she took four.

SPEAKER_08

By chance, do you remember anything at all about this event?

SPEAKER_07

I want to say Goldberg was there. And I want to say Rick Flair was there.

SPEAKER_08

Was there by chance Rick Flair versus Hulk Hogan in a steel cage match and a barbarian on top of the cage match? It was WCW uncensored, I believe it was 98 at Freedom Hall. Yeah, no, I was there.

SPEAKER_07

But our seats were like I said, insane. Okay, so you know, like that was the entrance. Uh-huh. We sat like right there of that about an apron and stuff. So if you had it, if you went three seats over, you would have been behind and you couldn't see the actual ramp our seats was not the best. But imagine my sister, my sister's in high school. Hey, so she uh she took her Cinnabon money that she was my sister works for two jobs. She took her money. Damn. Yeah. So that's a okay. So we're back.

SPEAKER_08

So we're back.

SPEAKER_07

But yeah, so we're going. I was lying. We gotta start with the attitude burger. Right. Because that's the one everybody talks about. Yes, that's the most popular wrestling era time frame that they're in.

SPEAKER_08

So yeah, I would say attitude era definitely would be because it wasn't just the attitude, you know, like for wrestling overall, the attitude era. Also, we need to think WCW in that frame, too, had so much going on. You know, even though they were on their fucking last legs and dying at that point, still wrestling was at such a boom at that point because there was so much out there. Even had ECW, you know, out there. And yeah, so I guess I guess it's one thing, man. You know, when people don't think about like when you say attitude era, they're always quick to think, you know, like just WWE, because obviously that is attitude era, but I don't know. I think about attitude era more like all of wrestling at that time.

SPEAKER_07

Uh okay. Yeah. I see I always strike the WWE like we said, because I guess in my head, I still separate the two. Like, so with me, I think officially we're gonna have to do a WC. Right. We're gonna have to do a WC.

Wrestling Origins And First Events

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, yeah. We're like, I guess, so if I'm sitting there ranking, you know what I'm saying, like attitude era, yeah. I'm only gonna do like WWE wrestlers. But I guess like when I'm thinking of the time frame, you know, and attitude era people describe, you know, oh, the attitude era was so huge, it's like, yeah, it was. Wrestling was at a boom at that point. Like you had attitude era going on, you had WCW's boom going on, or whatever again it was at that point. You had ECW over here, you had so much fucking wrestling at that point. Like, and I know I told you about this, and you like you said you never really were into it, but Japanese wrestling at this point was getting recognition and getting a fucking you know thing. Yeah, tape trading was even going on. I don't know if you ever even heard of that.

SPEAKER_07

You see, I start looking at you like, well, okay, what tape trading, yes, yes, tape trading.

SPEAKER_08

So yes, tape trading is so like man, and that's how I got into the Japanese wrestling was around that time uh IWA Mid-South was going on, and you could only see that though in a very small area, it's like very regional, and we were one of the regions, of course, because it's right here, that you could see it. And I happened to find like online where these people were looking, they're like, hey, we're looking for tapes of you know, this IWA Mid-South shows. If you could possibly record them, you know, and send them, we can do barters back and forth, and it just like opened me up to this fucking huge world out there of people that were at the time trading these VHS tapes of wrestling shows from all around the world. And oh my god, man.

SPEAKER_04

Who was really trading the tapes over there?

SPEAKER_08

Well, I I had I'm talking about boxes that would be the size of this table, maybe this tall, though, and they were stacked full of VHS. Oh, yeah, all around the world. From all around the world, yeah, just different kinds of stuff, man. Insane. That is insane.

Attitude Era Beyond WWF

SPEAKER_07

I didn't know people did that because, you know, I was I was a little pitch squeak back then. That just sounded like I wasn't tipping. Yeah, I was a little pitch squeak. See, Joe is more of the he's the wrestling aficionado of this. I'm just a guy who watched it on TV. I didn't see my first like pay-per-views until YouTube was a day. Because I saw about YouTube, because my mother definitely wasn't paying for that. Definitely. And then by that time frame, my sister had moved to North Carolina and created her own life, so she wasn't paying for them. So yeah, no, I didn't see pay-per-views at the time until I got older.

SPEAKER_08

I um so I was introduced to wrestling, you know what I'm saying, very early on, like 80s. Obviously, there's that age gap between us. So 88, I think it was, was the 88 Survivor series. And it's how fucking hyped I was, man, is uh my parents were gonna get it on pay-per-view. And you know, like this was a thing for us, bro, because this was not something we do. But my parents, like they loved wrestling. Not my dad, but my mom loved wrestling, and so this was something we could all get into like watching. So I was so excited. I remember being in class, and like we were doing this thing, like talking about how happy we were for the holidays, and all I kept talking about was how excited I was to see fucking Survivor series. Like, this was it for me, dude. Fuck Santa Claus, Hulk Hogan and the Ultimate Warrior, bro. That was it. Like that was life for me. So so yeah, and then like that that was like that was the first pay-per-view, and that's probably the last pay-per-view I got until Bash at the Beach 97 or something when uh Dennis Rodman was in the main event. Yeah. And I saw that when I saw like a couple for the NWO around that time. And then my mom, you know, was just like, all right, no, we ain't buying this shit, it's just expensive. So then I had to go get a job so that I could afford it. Yeah, continue my habit of watching these pay-per-views. And that's when I got into the tape trading, because I was like, I just I could just buy it off of somebody else or just trade them a tape, and yeah.

SPEAKER_07

You had to wait till you could afford it on your own band instead of family bands. Yeah, nope, I feel it. I know, I definitely respect it. Yeah. So, but real quick. You currently do you watch currently watch like WWE T not TNA? Well, TNA or uh AEW. I know you go to a lot of the local events or regional events.

SPEAKER_08

I um I follow along with it a lot, and I watch more, I guess, more clips than I would say. Like I watch the whole shows. I do watch some of the shows occasionally, and like when I do, of course, I ain't gonna lie, it'd be usually WWE because AEW shows. I'll catch them on like HBO Max on a replay, but if it's like the live event, you know, they're still costs a little bit too much money for me. I can't watch half the fucking the WWE PLEs anymore now because they're on uh ESPN.$30 a month stop my price range, y'all. I'm poor. Sorry. Oh, oh, look for someone over here telling me how I'm so fancy.

SPEAKER_07

I don't really feel like that's great fancy. But uh so I watch I watch the PLEs, but like the the Rawls and the SmackDowns were like the everyday yeah, I don't really watch. I've never I've I've tried AEW, but I guess because I'm not like religiously into it, I don't I don't get it. Like I'm just gonna be real. I don't I try and I watch the like you said, I watch the clips and stuff. Yeah, and it look it looks good, but when I sit down and try to watch it, I just I don't, but at the same time, I don't watch a lot of SmackDown either. So I watch more clips, I look at the dirt sheets and watch it.

Keeping Up With Wrestling Today

SPEAKER_08

Uh was Saturday night's main event. I do check them out when they have that one. I'll watch that one. Sometimes uh sometimes I'll take my projector down to my buddy's house and we'll just sit there in his backyard and like watch SmackDown or something. But other than that, that's it.

SPEAKER_07

See, that's something that helps that I keep up with it because from our perspective, people we shout out Dion. We predict the wrestling, who's gonna make a prediction. I think that's what we better because we got survivors for this point. Yep, we're gonna do a prediction owned it coming up this week. So it's like I like I said I watch the PLEs, but like every day. I got too much going on. Mondays I gotta watch uh Monday night for live games.

SPEAKER_08

Yes, Friday I got college for like 45 different podcasts that he does, y'all.

SPEAKER_07

This is four.

SPEAKER_08

Four? That's it.

SPEAKER_07

Boy, am I supposed to call a little dude? Yeah, I just like editing stuff. This is four.

SPEAKER_08

Did you did you have more at one point? Did you do any more?

SPEAKER_07

Or was it just like it was different variations of the show?

SPEAKER_08

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_07

So from uh from our perspective sports shows, it used to be called different names, and it was always just sports shows. Oh, okay. And then hold on another thing, I did with my ex, but watching the category. So it was different variations, but it was always the same.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Gotcha.

How The Ranking Works

SPEAKER_07

Let's do it. Should we start off with both our teams? It didn't work our way up like that. Someone can judge each other. Yeah. Some can tell each other we're slack for your role. Yes. Okay, because you're gonna tell me my my first my first one's gonna uh gonna be wrong.

SPEAKER_08

So you can go ahead and tell me you go you start with number one and number ten. Okay, okay.

SPEAKER_07

And then I have a time. It's gonna be judging her, and I'll feel the judgment here. So in ten. This is my personal clarifying.

SPEAKER_03

I have a time between the godfather and the child like you watched the godfather's interviews lately, like, dude is so cool. So cool. How did I not put him on the list?

SPEAKER_08

I just look, Godfather being on the list, not a surprise at all, you know what I'm saying? No shock there whatsoever. I guess for me, it was that you're like, Godfather and Shawn Michaels at 10. So I have an idea of why you would put Shawn Michaels at 10, but I'm curious.

SPEAKER_06

Why Shawn Michaels is at 10?

SPEAKER_08

Why yeah, why Shawn Michaels is just at 10.

SPEAKER_06

Why he's just at 10?

SPEAKER_07

Because I feel like this is a very combat answer. For me personally, all the people above him I followed more religiously.

SPEAKER_04

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

It's not because of the screwdriver. Uh-huh. I know a lot of people assume just that, but it's not because of the screwdriver's done like it. That wasn't even what I was thinking. No, that wasn't even it. I don't know. I have everybody else above him up to feel like I like more. Not that I don't like I like it's just me. I'm auditioning. Uh when is it the roofless aggression? The one after the Addison? Yeah. When Sean Michael takes out a little older and he will go away and come back because of injuries and stuff. Just him and Triple H doing the DX. Yes. And then he had that match with Undertaker, I guess. Nah, that might be a PG error. I don't know. The error was just kind of, you know.

SPEAKER_08

That was the PG era, yes. Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

That was the more mockery for Shawn Michaels.

SPEAKER_08

I was thinking more like because for me, like Shawn Michaels, he was there at the start of the Attitude Era. Like he helped, you know what I'm saying, kind of like kick that door in. But then his back was fucked and he was out.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

So he wasn't really around for the Attitude Era. I mean, he deserves recognition, of course, for being there and getting it started. But yeah, I get it.

SPEAKER_07

Shawn Michaels is too important of a finger to not be excluded. But I also feel like uh I could put him higher. So that's why I use it.

SPEAKER_01

I get it.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, that's why Godfathers and Sean Michaels. I'm gonna try not to do a bunch of times and redo this. But this is the one time I was like, I got the time.

Number 10 Picks And Chyna

SPEAKER_08

So number 10 for me. I'm probably gonna have to go with China. I feel like you know, she was somebody that played her part in the attitude era very well.

SPEAKER_07

But I don't know, I just don't know how big like she was big into it, but you you look like you wanna you guys I feel disappointed in myself that I didn't think China Oh China, I was like, Oh yeah, I dropped up egg on that. Oh, that means Sean Michael's in the car followed the wood that made the places. So I really would I really would have got your social media show.

SPEAKER_03

Didn't anybody put on no guy? HBK. Oh yeah. Sorry at all.

SPEAKER_08

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_07

No, yeah, I feel bad because I didn't put you down.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

No, I shout outs. You know, she did her thing, man. She definitely played her part in DX. You know, I don't feel like she because of everything that happened after her exit from WWE and the way, unfortunately, that her life panned out afterwards. It's kind of like she doesn't now they're just finally starting to get back to the point of recognizing her contributions to that era. So that's good. Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

You're right. China, China definitely deserves more credit. Yeah. Like you said, they did they get to it now, but yeah. They said that after ten years.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_07

You know what I mean? All right. So not gonna ask for me.

SPEAKER_00

It's Kane. The big red machine. You know, see the power.

SPEAKER_07

I was gonna say the final entry, the fire road that goes along the cane. That's also what helped make Kane so cool. The power road.

SPEAKER_08

I don't were you at the storyline were you into uh like WWE or WWF, I guess, at that time, like when he debuted?

SPEAKER_07

I was more so that yeah. Yeah, but yes, that was a little bit.

SPEAKER_08

So did you see the uh the debut?

SPEAKER_07

I saw it on YouTube. Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah. Oh my gosh. Holy crap. That was right, that was right before I ended up getting a job just so I could get pay per views because and and The thing is, like, I was so desperate to see that pay-per-view that I was going around everywhere around me trying to find a job just so I could get a fucking paycheck. I'm like, bro, I was like a crackhead at the time, y'all. You don't understand. Like, I'm really out there like, I just need$30.

SPEAKER_03

You don't understand. Shawn Michaels is gonna be in a cage.

SPEAKER_08

Like, it was bad out here, you know what I'm saying? What the fuck is wrong with me? But uh, yeah. I I so I ended up getting the video off of uh one of the tape turning things, and just watching that man was just like, oh my god. Kane's introduction was everything, yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Yes, and then Kane, and he's a mayor now, which is crazy. This would be oh, I'm thinking of the who cane because I get it, they all have real like personalities outside of wrestling. But look at him now being mayors like he was like this big scary person.

SPEAKER_08

So have you seen all the uh the former gimmicks prior to Kane, right? Have you seen any of that? You ever looked into it?

SPEAKER_07

I feel like I could I know he had former gimmicks, but off the top of my head I can't remember.

SPEAKER_08

Uh Isaac Yankum D DDS, uh the fake diesel. I don't remember Diesel D.

SPEAKER_07

Yes, yeah.

SPEAKER_08

I can't remember any other ones. I know he's had other ones, but yeah, he's mainly known for fake diesel and for Isaac Yankum. And he just like he was at the end, you know, it was just like, I'm about to be done. This is about to call it a rap on my career, and just happened to luckily fall into the lap Kane.

SPEAKER_07

That motherfucker played that and transformed himself throughout the later years into different versions of Kane.

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_07

I remember the first time I seen Kane without the mask, and they did the uh phase like it was really burnt. I said, uh they played this team. Kane was this big scary thing.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah. I was so worried whenever you know I'm saying they took the mask off of him, they did all that stuff. I was like, Great, y'all killed it. You know what I'm saying? But but shout out to him because he he was able to take that and still carry that character on, and yeah, he still did the damn thing with it.

Kane Owen Hart And Tag Teams

SPEAKER_07

I was gonna say he still he still made it work, yeah. He still did, and yet like you say, that's a compliment to him, yes. But yeah, the mine of the last time.

SPEAKER_08

Mine is gonna be Owen Hart. Yeah, Owen Hart, man. He Blue Blazer, Owen Hart, all that different stuff, man. So damn good, so damn talented, and too damn soon, man. Too damn soon.

SPEAKER_07

RB to a legendary. Yes, I guess it doesn't okay for my number egg. I mean I feel like this was the they came in at the tail end of the attitude.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, they were there.

SPEAKER_07

Jeff right now. Oh yes. Oh yes, and I wanted to I wanted to put all three of the tag teams on the same one, but I chose not to. Because when I think of Team Extreme, not Jeff or because you know Jeff had Jeff had his own solo career. Well, Matt D too. Yeah, because I hit I would say Matt was an ECW Jack 1.1 together.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

But uh I wanted to put Team Extreme and Andrew Christian the all on the same line. Because when I think of one, I automatically think of the oh yeah. So I mean I think I was like, all right, I'm gonna do for her and just give this line to Team Extreme. Jeff when they first came out and they had later they're so cool. And yeah, and even Jeff now still get well man too give this aura of like we cool as hell, like RBD.

SPEAKER_01

They want mad RBD, man.

SPEAKER_07

You know black dudes moving up in the West Ends. It's something white dudes you can hang out with. That's what even they gonna do their own thing, they're in their own vibe. Uh-huh. They ain't trying to be, you know, one people say are been like us. They just doing their own thing. Yeah, so cool.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, so yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_08

They just they're there, they just exist. Yes. Rob and damn.

SPEAKER_03

Well, look where I grew up at. You know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_07

You know, kind of like them, but the Hardy Boys is smoke kind of like yes, they so fucking chill.

SPEAKER_08

I love I collected the figures. Go figure, be surprised, look around here. Um, but so when their first figures dropped, man, there was so much hype surrounding those things. And I still sit here and I can picture like it was red shirt and like the black pants on the figures, and just going to Toys R S, KB Toys, and everywhere else. I could trying to find these damn things, and it sold out everywhere. KB Toys, yeah, duh.

unknown

Okay, sorry.

SPEAKER_08

That's all right, man. I just aged myself like a son of a bitch.

SPEAKER_06

I remember it too.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, you do it. Yeah, hey. But I was like, I heard that it's so low.

SPEAKER_08

KB Toys.

SPEAKER_07

Stores that are closed.

SPEAKER_08

Children's Palace. I see you, boy.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_08

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

I got Team Extreme at number eight.

SPEAKER_08

You got Team Extreme at number eight.

SPEAKER_00

Alright, so Team Extreme number eight. I think Team I'm sorry, I had to think about it sometimes, but I'm gonna go. I'm not gonna make the channel.

SPEAKER_08

Brood. I'm gonna have to yeah, because you just did tag team, so I'm gonna have to do the whole thing. Yeah, brood, edge, Christian, and gangrill. Yeah. It wasn't around long enough though. No, that intro was so cool. Yes.

SPEAKER_07

It was good. I guess it might be because that bottom would be that was a little scary.

SPEAKER_08

It was coming up with the fire and everything, that music hit and ding dun dun dun dun. It had some kind of industrial techno-ish kind of vibe to it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I like that.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

I didn't even think I thought about educated, but I didn't even think about me, the entire faction.

SPEAKER_08

I can't remember what it was that I seen. I think it was actually something AEW did, and uh it was paying homage to um to the brood, yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Because uh well, Adam Carpenter and AEW, yeah, and you Christians, yeah. They both are uh AEW now. Yeah, so they brought they brought Gangrill in there.

SPEAKER_08

Gabriel Gabriel's saying, but that's what happens when Gangrill finds the Lord. It's gonna come up from the bottom of the ring leg or whatever, dude. Hold up the Bible. Ecclesiast 1344 says, I shall look that ass.

SPEAKER_07

Oh sign us. Yeah when they did Brother Dion. Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Brother Dion, hold on.

SPEAKER_07

Oh, was it Brother Dion? No, Brother Dion. Deacon.

SPEAKER_08

The Deacon, the Deacon. Yeah, uh Dion. Yeah, yeah. Sorry. Yeah, uh Batista. Yeah, that was when he came in. That was his introduction and then yes.

Mick Foley Love And OVW Plug

SPEAKER_07

They got rid of that too fast. Yeah. He was over, but I guess he didn't. Oh, I guess it didn't get over fast enough. All right, so uh what do we get to?

SPEAKER_00

Number seven. My number seven is McFarlane. Okay, I saw a face. Okay.

SPEAKER_08

I'm curious. Go ahead. I mean, you're gonna I can't wait to see your face when I say number one because first off, it's not gonna be anybody's number one whatsoever. But oh my god, whatever. You don't sorry my foot.

SPEAKER_04

You guys don't you feel like you're supposed too well? Huh? You feel like you fall too well.

SPEAKER_08

I can't say that without knowing what else you've got ahead. You know, I can say that he's definitely higher up for me.

SPEAKER_07

I was gonna say the way you made a face was like you got that wrong.

SPEAKER_08

It's shocking, that's for sure. Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

It's so many people with attitude of somebody. I know I know somebody's gonna get left off, somebody gonna get forgas. Yes, somebody's gonna get it's a lot of people, yeah.

SPEAKER_08

But I feel like you can sit here and do this top 25, and by the time you get done, there's gonna be at least 10, 20, 30 motherfuckers who will be like, you forgot that and you forgot how the hell did you forget?

SPEAKER_07

And it's just like because there's so many. Yeah, no, now I did look at so I looked at WTW, uh, they did a WWE did their own ranking of the Maps and McFall. I won't McFall was like lord on nerves. I won't say he was like nine. And I had him to seven. I'm pretty sure.

SPEAKER_04

No, god damn. I won't I had to say I had it up just in case.

SPEAKER_07

I had team, they had, I'm looking at it, they had team with streaming at 14, and I can't think a lot.

SPEAKER_00

See, they had Kane in I don't know he was on earth because I thought that was from fashion.

SPEAKER_07

Oh, they got him before. Sorry, they got him by. I knew it was something different. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I knew it was something different from bad old or higher. Yeah, they got him before.

SPEAKER_08

You know, at least he got him on the list. He got him on the list.

SPEAKER_07

I pushed my micros on earth for so I wouldn't have a bunch of.

SPEAKER_08

My man said, fuck you, Sean.

SPEAKER_07

He told Sean, suck it. Progressive or I mean I progressive early. Roof was like brushing the roof was a group, yes. If we did that one, I think I would have shot on it. I think probably not. I'm lying.

unknown

I'm lying.

SPEAKER_00

I probably wouldn't.

SPEAKER_08

Hi there.

SPEAKER_07

I'm gonna have to figure that out.

SPEAKER_08

Oh so this is uh by the way, folks, but if you watching this, this is a prototype. This is like a beta version. It's think of it like an app, you know what I'm saying? We soft launch some type of shit. We're gonna figure this out, don't worry. Yeah. Oh, yeah, my bad. The OVW promo, I was just saying. 4,400 Shelby Will Road come there every Thursday. It's actually 6 p.m. I'm kind of glad that stopped because I said 7 p.m. That's when so that's when the show itself starts. But if you get there at 6 p.m., you can see the pre-show overdrive that's being taped for like next week on YouTube.$10 general admission. It's fucking awesome time. I love it. I go there try I try to go there at least once a month, you know.

SPEAKER_06

I'm not gonna go over one time.

SPEAKER_08

Bro, it's a blast. Yeah. Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_07

I'm gonna uh I had McMullick. I'm booming. I'm gonna phone, bro. I'll check it out. What's your Shawn Michaels? Okay, yes, make me look like a Jack Hans. Thank you. Why'd you get Shawn Michaels?

Shawn Michaels And Jericho Case

SPEAKER_08

I got Shawn Michaels a seven man, mainly because you know, like we talked about before, his his time in the Attitude Era was not it was not as much as everybody else. Like he was there at the start of it, he helped kick it off, you know, SummerSlam. For me, for me, like the Attitude Era, I guess uh I don't know, I guess it's a kind of like a debated topic. A lot of people say, you know, attitude era, when did it really start? You know, you can go like you can say WrestleMania 13, Austin versus Brett with Shermack as the referee, you know, when uh Austin was bleeding and all that kind of crap. I look at SummerSlam 97 with was it Brett Hart versus Undertaker, and Shawn Michaels was the referee. And Sean went, I think Sean went to hit he went to hit Brett with the chair, and he fucked up and he hit Undertaker. Yeah, he hit Undertaker with the chair. And so then Undertaker lost the title to Brett, and so that set off this feud between Undertaker and Sean, and that cat that's where uh bad blood, Hell and Cell, you know, Kane comes in and everything. So I feel like he was he'd done enough to earn uh a decent spot on there, you know what I'm saying? But I'm damn sure I'm sorry, Sean. You're not gonna be top five, top three, none of that you're just you played your part, and you played your part well, but then my man unfortunately had to land on that casket wrong in that casket match, and yeah, be real, didn't it? It did definitely did. It fucked it up.

SPEAKER_07

I got a new team, you got a message. My number six. Yep. I feel like I'm gonna be judged.

SPEAKER_08

You keep saying that, man, but I'm gonna tell you, you are never gonna get judged as hard as I am for my number one.

SPEAKER_07

Okay, well, okay. I know I don't have a good explanation. I just like Christian. I know he knows that you don't want the way to get out in the house.

SPEAKER_04

But I feel like he had a founding standing in the MT.

SPEAKER_08

Oh yeah. Gave his the countdown to him coming in to WWF at that, you know, was just that clock that they kept showing, you know what I'm saying? And then like when it finally hit zero, and that music finally break the walls down, and then boom, you see that fucking silhouette of him just standing with his arms out.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

I like the presentation of pretty jerk. Yes. It's also like I always like Chris Jericho's thieves. Uh-huh. So, of course, worth the while, then I think he hadn't even went to AEW. It was a song where the ES would listen to it for y'all just saying the song, they all chance to like go to the album. So, yeah, that might have played a little bit up, but you know he'd got nothing to do with that too. Just a fan of Chris Jericho. That ain't nothing. Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, exactly. No, I get it. No, I get that. Yes.

SPEAKER_07

So I'm going, I'm going with Chris Jericho 6.

SPEAKER_08

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

I'm not.

The Radicals And Art Vs Artist

SPEAKER_08

Chris Jericho's not gonna be in. For me, and I I got these three guys. God damn it, Joe. God damn it, Joe. Anything else in the fuck up? I don't want to say one person's name. So instead, I'm just gonna name a group. Because to like you talking about Chris Jericho and his his introduction and and like we talked about just that build-up and things. The radicals.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's not expecting that.

SPEAKER_08

They their arrival, you know, the leaving of WCW was was huge. Their arrival into WWF was so huge. Just seeing seeing all of them sitting there was like crazy at the time. It's like, holy shit, like this is big, you know, like like these dudes, because they weren't getting the opportunities. Well, one person was getting the opportunities in WCW prior to leaving. Uh I just can't say his name, dog. I'm sorry. I just don't want to.

SPEAKER_03

Why don't you all say his name?

SPEAKER_08

Oh, geez, I wonder why I don't want to say his name.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, cool.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah. So CB had uh yeah, like, you know. I I wanted to include, I was like, I want to include him because look, dude, it's hard. This is a whole nother fucking conversation that you could have on a whole different discussion, nowhere near rankings, about separating a person from their artistry and their artwork and how you can, you know what I'm saying, like appreciate their artwork still moving forward knowing the kind of respectfully piece of shit they are. Yeah, so it's like yeah, but I had to include him on the list, man, because you know, he is so impactful in that era.

SPEAKER_07

So I agree. When he so whenever I do music, this one shit, we're gonna get to music more stuff.

SPEAKER_08

I was just thinking about R.

unknown

Kelly.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, that's who I was just thinking about, dude.

SPEAKER_07

I separate what R. Kelly person is from what R. Kelly the music is. So yeah, I feel like if I could do that with R. Kelly, I could do that in this. Exactly.

SPEAKER_08

I can't well, you're never gonna tell me I can't listen to ignition. I'm sorry, y'all. You can't tell me not to listen to ignition. I have a problem listening to download. Personal reasons. That's just a little creepy now. But ignition, dog, I can fuck with some ignition all day long.

SPEAKER_05

So female booty is probably my favorite person.

SPEAKER_07

And I know he has a thousand buzz, but he has a hundred more. That doesn't surprise me for you. For you, for you, that doesn't surprise me at all. I'm going all the way to the house. Just because we have a story quite for the house.

SPEAKER_08

Obviously, like ignition favorite song. Second favorite song, though, if we're gonna have to sit here and say this, it's gotta be uh uh uh it's it's a serious detractor clock. It's only because of that one line where the motherfucker goes, oh my god, don't dude, it's what the fuck anyway. Okay, we go down a five at all as a different one.

SPEAKER_07

That's a whole other ranking. You want to wrestling? Yep, we'll get to that. Yep, we definitely don't get to that. All right, cool. My number five, my number five and four kind of go together, but I'm just gonna say the new age out loss. Ooh, okay, yes. And if you if you did, you could guess what my four is. Yes, not based on what my five is. So I'm just gonna go ahead and say that my four is triple H. Yes, I left out X Pac. You made me feel bad. Well, you just was talking about uh you you won't leave certain, you won't uh somebody's getting attention, and you won't leave out people. I was like, damn, I left off X Pac in China, but I didn't get the message out loud in triple H upon this list.

SPEAKER_08

Well, okay, so I have a confession to make, man, and this is gonna sound really shitty of me, okay? I am I'm a fan of X Pac. I love X Pac. I could not sit here and tell you one X Pac match.

SPEAKER_06

I just don't and it's that's what I'm saying.

New Age Outlaws X Pac Debate

SPEAKER_08

Like, and I know these things, like, and I've I've watched, I remember. Watching him and Larry Zabisco at Halloween Havoc. That is probably the only genuine match that I can think of that I've watched of him. I don't know. Like, and it's not to take anything away from him because I do, I think the motherfucker's awesome. I think he's he's like just like what you described, like Rob being damned the hardy's dude so chill, so awesome. Just he's like one of those people you just be like, that's him. Yeah, completely. Yeah, exactly. But like if you were to sit here and be like, hey man, what's your favorite X-Pac match? I'm really just gonna sit there and be like, all right, I know of two matches, him and Razor Ramon, obviously. Everybody, if you know this one. And then, like I said, Larry Zabisco. And I think in that match, Larry Zabisco like put him in some kind of hold and fucked his neck up. Don't quote me on that. But yeah, that's that's it. I know of him on wrestling. I know him more like with interviews and like just being a presence.

SPEAKER_07

But as far as actual matches, yeah, dog. But so new age outlaws to me, I'm not gonna lie, it ain't about their matches, it's about the aesthetics, it's about what they presented. I love Rob. Yeah, I would wish I could do what Roadog does. And he does it so smooth. And then all Billy Gunga did is say like a lion. Yeah, good to go. So, yeah, no, I love Rogell. I feel like I know the matches they had and the talent they they possessed as the team, but to me, it was it was all in comfortable. They were over walking down then.

SPEAKER_08

Can you imagine like you've been in that company, you know what I'm saying, for as long as like them dudes were at that time, and you were just getting like shit gimmick after shit gimmick and stuff, and then one day they just come up to you and they're like, Alright, man, so what would you say to these people if you got out in front of them and you sitting there like uh oh you didn't know? Your ass better call somebody and boom.

SPEAKER_07

That's it. You fucking paid, and then you still selling that signings and all that.

SPEAKER_08

But yeah, I'm saying 30 years later, you can still walk into a convention and make bank just by sitting there fucking signing that on a you didn't know.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, no, a little bit of uh new agile always in their form was triple H. Okay.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, that you mean the go off a little bit. No, you good, probably. Hey, they really do.

SPEAKER_08

They really do. Um, number five for me, while I'm sitting there talking. Xbox. I know, right? That's it, yes. Again, I don't know him for wrestling, but I know him for his presence, and I know him, I know how significant that moment was the WrestleMania 14. So, you know, you have Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold, you have Mike Tyson in there, you have the huge fucking twists and all the shit go down, and that's when WWF really finally fucking was gonna beat WCW, and that next night on Raw is when they did end up finally beating WCW in the ratings after 83 weeks. And one of the things that to me personally I felt like really fucking helped do that was X-Pac debuted that night. Yeah, and he came out there, and just his like just his interview, man, he said, you know, something about uh Eric Bischoff, you know, you put that in your pipe and smoke it or some shit, and it was just yeah, man, like my man's here, and you won't know that I'm over here. Yeah, yeah, exactly. Like y'all fired me over a letter or some shit. All right, well, fuck you, I'm over here now. So yep. So you so yeah, so I didn't triple legs.

SPEAKER_07

What was your call?

SPEAKER_08

Number four for me, Mr. McFoley.

SPEAKER_07

Yes, go ahead and set this.

SPEAKER_08

I know me cats and you know, I know dude look, I know yeah, he had such a presence throughout the whole span in so many different characters, too. You know what I'm saying? Dude, love was there. You had you had fucking mankind, you cactus Jack showed up, you know, even with uh um uh chainsaw Charlie. That's thank you. Chainsaw Charlie and Cactus Jack when they was doing their uh thing against the New Age Outlaws, yeah, yeah. So he stayed consistently involved one way, and he it wasn't just consistent, but he was raising and elevating himself up each and every time until until there was no denying him, like there's no denying McFole, you know, like that's like I think it's he got a bunch of different things, but it wasn't because they failed. No, he was just having fun with it, yes, I'd like, you know, so what I would like to find out too, and I'm I'm sure it's got me on the air somewhere. Did this motherfucker get a different paycheck for like every because you know, like there were times where he would be in the fucking uh Royal Rumble as every different wrestler? So I want to know, did my man collect on Dude Love, Mankind, and Cactus Jack? Or was this just like a hey you you bought a package deal?

SPEAKER_07

Right, you might have got a couple extra extra dollars, yeah.

SPEAKER_08

But I don't I don't see me giving him more than yeah, I know that's what I'm saying. I'm like it's McMahon. So he's not getting double paid, but yeah, he had the phone. Yeah, you know what? Hey, you know, and another reason that you I know that's been talked about way too many times, man. Hell in a cell. Yeah.

Stone Cold Undertaker Rock Top

SPEAKER_07

I was about to go down the tangent, but I ain't gonna go down the tangent. My number three. I know it's gonna be most people's number one.

SPEAKER_00

I got stone called.

SPEAKER_07

I know Stone Cold is gonna be most people's number one, and I understand why. So even when we come back to our doing good rankings, we gotta put them higher, cool. But for me personally, I'm not this is not to take away the greatness of Stone Cold, but the other two, the two people out that I got hired for their roles and their characters so well for so cool in the things they was able to do with their characters, and I gotta put Stone Cold three, and I understand the attitude, I know we're ranking based off of the attitude era, but the presence that the other two had and the skills that the other two had, again, I'll take away from Stone Cold because then brain bring Stone Cold's great and the on the mic, Stone Cold's great, and he led. Hell, he's in a ruthless aggression era at the beginning, too, and he will be he will still be ranked in his highest. That's why ruthless aggression is so hard to be good. You got this era and you got all new people, and like you said, you get the influx of ECW AWCW.

SPEAKER_00

But yeah, I guess I'll talk about the I do too.

SPEAKER_08

Okay, that's yeah, that's why I'm just like I appreciate you having him there too, because my number I'm not even gonna talk about number one. Uh I don't know who you got. My number two, I definitely got is probably one of your number one or number two. So But yeah, Stone Cold, you can't fucking you can't even think of attitude era without him. Yeah, because when you think of the word attitude, what pops up in your head? Stone Cold, Austin 316.

SPEAKER_07

I understand the error is based off here. Yes, like I get it, yeah, 100% the attitude error is based off Stone Cold.

SPEAKER_08

But okay, and I'm I'm gonna have to he suffered not to the same degree as Shawn Michaels with the injuries where Sean was just completely fucking out of the picture, but he had enough issues to where he wasn't able to be as much of a presence as I'm sure he would have even wanted to, you know what I mean? Like you know, time away. Yeah, time away. And then I don't know if it was ruthless aggression era by this point or not, but I know he started to have some issues like outside of the ring, you know, with like personal things that were kind of impending him being able to be as present there as much as he wanted to. Whatever.

SPEAKER_07

Let us don't go to understand why he why everybody else would have so like I said, uh the WWE has him at one. I understand. Yeah, from my personal perspective, I don't have them at one, I have him at the my number two is the undertaker. Just gonna go straight to it. Like yeah, my number two is the undertaker.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

There's nobody in WWE getting shooting that by the third role back then. That man at least and I again I know we're ringing them based on the error, but Undertaker! That was the beginning of what they understand what he is, man.

SPEAKER_08

Dude, Undertaker is like played that fucking character so good that yeah, so he protected that character and played it so well that now after he finally like stepped away from it, you know what I'm saying, and retired the character and everything, people were like, Holy shit, this son bitch has the accent. It's like, yeah, my man is like from Texas, he has the country, you know what I'm saying, like a southern draw. You just never knew it because of how good he played that character. He was dedicated to being that he he was one of them guys that grew up so old school he was like, Oh, I'm the dead man, oh I'm this. Okay, that's well, that's who the fuck I am. It doesn't matter if I'm at work, if I'm off, I am the dead man. I am this guy. Paul, they said uh Paul Barrett was the same way.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_08

A lot of them old school dudes, man, they were the same type of characters, and they turn and they show them they show them what wrestling in wrestlers and splits. Yeah. So this kind of gonna be like on this, but like off subject. You know who really lucked out with that kind of mentality though? Motherfucking million dollar man.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, that's what's kind of hurting their hands. Yeah, too. But yeah, yeah, he did, he did he up he'll outside the way is where it is.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, they said uh Vince was so like dedicated to him playing that character that Vince would be like, anywhere you go, you have to pay with hundred dollar bills because you're the million-dollar man, so I can't have you out here trying to pay for a meal with the fucking five-dollar bills, you know, or tens and ones and shit like that. You're you're the million-dollar man, bro. We gotta keep you up on this character, yeah. So Vince was lining this dude up with just hundred dollar bills to keep this image and this character up. It's like, bro, can you imagine? Bro, like your job, okay. We're gonna pay you, but we're also gonna make sure that you understand your job is to look rich. Well, how can I do that? Oh, we'll keep giving you money to make you look rich. Oh.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, not only am I gonna give you a steady income for a you also are giving me look making you're making me look more solid than me. That's I don't want to be fucking I know, man.

SPEAKER_08

We're now we're salivating thinking about that guy. Bro, right.

SPEAKER_07

Oh definitely, yes.

SPEAKER_08

All right, so you got undertake for number two. Yes, I have the rock. Okay, yes.

SPEAKER_07

Okay, I guess we're gonna get a lot more.

SPEAKER_08

No, you can't. You really can't wait to hear my number one. Oh god. Uh yeah. I don't really feel like there needs any explanation for why you wouldn't put I guess the real explanation is why is the rock number two and not number one?

SPEAKER_07

Because he's my number one.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, yeah. I was gonna say, because I already knew if if the rock wasn't number two for you, he was number one. He's number one, yes. So I love the rock. How can you not? My man just there's a show named after this dude for Mark's sake. When did we come up with SmackDown? Come on now. I don't I don't even feel like I need to say anything more than yeah, dude has a show named after him because he was such a damn, even now to this day, like the reinvention that he does, like uh uh the final boss character.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_08

You know, I thought like, how like how is he gonna be able to do anything more? Like, how can he do anything differently? And then the sonbish comes up with this final boss character, and I'm like, you know what? Fuck you for being so good. Like, damn. The Rock is just top tier, but I can't really say top tier because obviously I have somebody above him.

SPEAKER_07

So I got him the number one. It's crazy. You brought up the final boss, and I I think back to that WrestleMania, that WrestleMania event where he came out trying to, you know, be on Rome and say, uh-huh. The person who came and stopped him from doing that was my number two, which was the other state. Yeah, but it goes back to my point of them two long the look the longevity of them two and still be able to create and work and do their characters for that long.

SPEAKER_08

The fucking that moment, too. Like all of those people, yeah, them lights went off, and then Undertaker being in there. And the cool part was was like he didn't even have to show up as like the dead man character, you know what I'm saying? He was just there as as Mark Callaway, he was the American badass, yeah. The American badass, yeah, exactly.

SPEAKER_07

Man, and this is what he is, yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, and you just fucking knew you're like yeah, it's fucking great. Loved it.

SPEAKER_07

The other thing, the thing I would I would point to for one The Rock is like you said, The Rock, the star. It was created then, but he was always ready. He was always the dude probably the best older mic.

SPEAKER_08

His they wanted like, you know what I'm saying? Like when you watch his you know I'm saying debut and shit, they were wanting him, it's the same thing they do with fucking Roman Reigns, man. Like, you would have thought they would have learned from their mistakes with rock, but they wanted him to be this like good guy, wholesome, everybody love character, you know what I'm saying? They're trying to shove him down your throat so much as this person that was not him that people fucking could not stand this dude. Like, you go back and look at Rocky Maya Villa's debut, and you're just like, what is this shit? Get this out of my face. But you know what I'm saying? Yeah, then they finally like allowed him to start expressing himself and become more, you know what I'm saying, like allow his own persona to bleed over into the character. And when they did that and it started working out, that's when you know they're just like, oh bro, how about it? And he exactly like, here, do your thing. And I remember um uh WrestleMania 14. Again, this is where a lot of that stuff started at him, his uh interview with it was somebody I can't think of her name now, but it was an interview with a woman that was tied into uh the Bill Clinton stuff at the time. God, you see, you know what I'm talking about, right? Yeah, and that's where he said, that's where he fucking first said, like, if you smell what the rock is cooking, and he starts saying like some of these fucking catchphrases, and people just that dude right there, that's him, that's a star.

SPEAKER_07

Oh no, he's a child too.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, my man just it. I'm sorry, what is your name? Well man, it doesn't matter what you was like the disrespect, nobody was doing that. How in the world did nobody think of doing that kind of stuff for him, dude? Yeah, genius.

SPEAKER_07

Well, that's because yeah, but that's all about it that's yeah, that's a different one.

SPEAKER_08

So um I'll be right back before I say my number one because I just need to be prepared. So hold on.

SPEAKER_07

Okay, I think the we've been bidding for this for the entire episode. At this point, I don't even know if we should rank like a collective top 10 because I we don't have to talk about this no more. Because Joe has a very mysterious number one.

SPEAKER_08

It's you know, so it's not mysterious.

SPEAKER_07

It's not mysterious. I feel like it's mysterious because we've been bending towards it for the whole party. You kept saying I don't know who uh I have a number one that nobody else is going to have.

SPEAKER_08

Nobody, so it's going to have this and another one.

SPEAKER_07

So yeah. Wait.

SPEAKER_08

Ladies and gentlemen, number one is and always will be Steve Blackman.

SPEAKER_00

Steve Blackman.

SPEAKER_08

If you don't know the lethal weapon, you just need to go and look him up.

SPEAKER_06

That's not who else is right there.

SPEAKER_08

That is not who anybody would ever expect. You don't look at you don't look at Steve Blackman and think to yourself that's somebody's number one, that's somebody's favorite wrestler. But guess what? My bucket list goal. I want to fucking meet this man. If you like, I'm sitting here, let me tell you this. There's a square circle expo that goes on up in Indianapolis in March every year. Went to it last year. Fucking amazing. I'm watching it this year, like as they do their announcements. And if some bitches announce this blackman's there, it's on. It's on. I'm going. I mean, I'm gonna be there, but if he's there, oh man. Life goal right there. Have you ever like read any of the stories about him? Like, this motherfucker was like, so I fucking just fell in love with the the idea that this dude, he's just so I don't want to say no gimmick because obviously he had a gimmick, you know, which was just being this like karate badass kick, but that was just really him. And he just came out kind of looking so nonchalant and like just I guess casual, you know what I'm saying? Like, hey, I'm gonna come down to this ring, I'm gonna fucking kick your ass, and then I'm gonna leave out of here and I'm gonna drive home, you know what I'm saying, tuck my kids in at night, and yeah, I got I got a job in the morning to go do, and then I'm gonna come back out here tomorrow night and you know I'll kick somebody else's ass. It's just like he was that guy to me. I don't know. Yeah, it really was. He just seemed so that we just like we've been talking about this whole time, like those nonchalant, casual, chill people. I was like, so I guess the blackman dog. That guy's and then like watching as like head cheese without snow, you know. He had like he had some character to him. It was the funniest fucking shit. Like, my man was so not funny, but funny in a way. I don't know how to describe it, man. But but yeah, then like flashboard years later, and I'm watching all these different interviews, and I'm seeing all these people talking about they're like, no, you don't understand. Like the most badass person backstage, Steve Blackman. They're like, Steve Blackman would be whooping some ass on people.

SPEAKER_07

I remember that.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, I think it was fucking like JBL or something like that. They're like, JBL was fucking with him, and he just like Knocked his ass out. It's like, yeah, Steve's my guy. Steve's my guy. And now I see uh and now I see they're about to release a new figure of him, and they just like posted his uh old Titan Tron theme on the WWE page. Yeah, they really got my hopes up that he'll be at the Royal Rumble or anything.

SPEAKER_05

So I was not expecting Steve Blackman.

SPEAKER_08

I know. Nobody was never expected.

SPEAKER_07

I was not expected Steve Blackman.

SPEAKER_08

Nobody would.

SPEAKER_07

I don't know why I don't think it's Sergeant Slaughter or somebody. I don't know. And I was like, I don't know why I got Steve Blackman.

SPEAKER_08

You know, um, I'm I'm sure you know this name, Chris Van Below, I think is how you pronounce it. Yeah, so he just recently did one not too long ago with Steve Blackman. Man, you should have seen me running around. I'm like a little schoolgirl or some shit.

SPEAKER_03

Like, oh my god, guys, guess what?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, Steve Blackman.

Building The Shared Top 10

SPEAKER_03

Okay, Steve Blackman. Must not expect this.

SPEAKER_07

Oh. Okay. Cool. All right, so collectively, we had to do a top two. I feel like we have to put Steve Blackman on there.

SPEAKER_08

Look, if you don't want to put him on the whole list, I completely understand.

SPEAKER_07

Well, I got Godfather on that. So you know. Yeah, okay. So I don't have, you know, but we but him for him to be your number one, did we not rank him at all?

SPEAKER_08

So we I think in fairness we can put him at probably 10 as a tie with Godfather. What do you think?

SPEAKER_07

Well, let me should put him at 10.

SPEAKER_08

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

Because I don't think my Godfather's gonna make the least. You don't think Godfather's gonna make the no. So let's put Steve Blackman in a team. What do we put in that? And the reason I said I don't think we put Godfather is because I think we gotta put China. Yeah. So I will put China in that. Steve Blackman and T and eight.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_08

Do we put Shawn Michaels at eight?

SPEAKER_07

Well, because I got him at 10 and you got him at 7.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah. They say it's like he has to be he has to be there.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, I was gonna say, I just don't feel like he goes much higher.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. Shawn Michaels is at eight. So they go to seven.

SPEAKER_08

There are some people who would be so pissed off here. This just debate on like putting in between seven and eight.

SPEAKER_07

I got Shawn Michaels. The fact that we get we got him so low, ball like so. Sorry. The WWE, I I know he wasn't in the top five. He was because they he was number six. They got they had a five.

SPEAKER_08

Shoes are those. I'm sorry, this is completely off. What shoes are those?

SPEAKER_07

Those these are stretches.

SPEAKER_08

Man, those look nice. Are they comfortable? As they look.

SPEAKER_07

Yes. Okay. Okay. Yes. I'm old man now. I wear sketchers. I wear I got my regular shoes and then my work shoes. And they all sketchers.

SPEAKER_08

As soon as I get my damn surgery, I'm about to have me appear some shit like that.

SPEAKER_07

Somebody asked me the other day, uh, how comfortable I be. I said they're real comfortable. I'm fat and I got flat feet.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah. I need you, flat feet? Yeah. I'm surprised you ain't never had to deal with this.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, I I'm just gonna say that's fine. So that's it. Um, cool. Uh like this, we had them at six. Yeah. So us wouldn't have been at Saturday. That ain't crazy. The actual company got him at six. Okay, cool. So now I told you they had McMahon, neither Miss McMahon, neither one of us can be honest.

SPEAKER_00

You know what? How did we also have Shane?

SPEAKER_07

I think Shane was like Yeah, I don't know.

SPEAKER_08

Like I can understand Levi Shane. I can understand Levi Shane out of the list. I am kind of surprised at neither one of us now that you know now that you bring it up, like how do we not, and I guess because I was thinking of wrestlers.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, but he wrestled enough, and so do we do we put somebody on our on our official top 10? Then neither one of us. God damn, yeah, I get but where do we put him at? Did we put a market where we had a seven, or do you need to go higher? So the question is okay, let me do it like this. Would you put Mr. McMahon above the rock? No. Would you put him on the stone cover?

SPEAKER_00

No. Would you put him above the Undertaker? You take it? I don't think I'll put him above the Under.

SPEAKER_07

I don't know about I don't think I'll Okay, would you put him above McPhone?

SPEAKER_08

Okay, okay, so here's here's my problem, okay? I gotta be honest with you. It's about the Undertaker.

SPEAKER_04

Okay.

SPEAKER_08

Okay. American badass Undertaker.

SPEAKER_01

No. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

He says Attitude era. I know, right?

SPEAKER_08

So I know. I feel like that was kind of that was, yeah, I'm saying that was kind of lowered towards the end of the attitude era. Yeah, so I don't think I would put him above attitude era undertake, no. I would probably have to put him like five or six, though.

SPEAKER_07

So you think okay, you think he's above Kane?

SPEAKER_08

Yes, I do think he's above Kane.

SPEAKER_07

So do we put Kane at seven?

SPEAKER_00

Probably so, yeah. Okay, so when we put Kane at seven, okay. Yeah. So Kane is seven.

SPEAKER_08

I'm just gonna go ahead and say real quick, man, I don't think X Pac, unfortunately, will be making this list.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, and I don't think Martin.

SPEAKER_08

I don't think so. My team is true. Yeah, uh Blue is not going on this one. So sorry.

SPEAKER_07

Trying to think. So if we got, let's just say, not in order yet, but we got Rock Upper, Undertaker, Nick Foley, Triple H and Nick Mad.

SPEAKER_01

Uh uh.

SPEAKER_07

Those are the top five in whatever order.

SPEAKER_01

Right. Right. Right.

SPEAKER_07

The question is, who would slide in at the six five? I mean, we could do a cocktail. Triple H? Will you be in a five? Is he the five? Rock, Foley, McMahon, yeah, triple H would be in that.

SPEAKER_08

What about Stone Cold?

SPEAKER_07

Oh shit. So it is Triple H. Triple H would be six.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Okay.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah. I think Triple H would be. I mean, but it would kind of be like he could really just Triple H Stone Cold.

SPEAKER_07

Big Man. See, you're higher on Foley than I either. So maybe we should throw it like this. Who's our number one? The Rock.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, yeah. No, we we both look. If I'm separating out, like, you know, say my bias and my my love and appreciation for Steve Blackman, yeah.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_08

The Rock's number one. There's no doubt about this.

SPEAKER_07

Rock is one, so we need to put it to the Undertaker, or we feel like it's somebody else. How would man take the back seat? Because you said both. And we push undertaker in.

SPEAKER_08

Honestly, man, if I'm gonna go number two on the Attitude Era win, it would probably be Stone Cold.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. Makes sense because the error is so that we put Stone Cold at two, then we go to three. That's where you get stopping. Or do we put Undertang? Or put four? Bro, I almost say it and none of it.

SPEAKER_08

I almost feel like you have to slide McMahon in right there. Like just those three right there. Without those three ingredients, you don't get the same. You do not get the attitude era as it was. Without Stone Cold and McMahon together.

SPEAKER_07

You don't get it.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. So McMahon 3. So question is four. Undertaker phobia. I will let you because you the following guy here. If you want to put him at four, I understand.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Undertake that four, four, five.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

There we go. We got our list.

SPEAKER_08

Yes.

SPEAKER_07

Rock is one.

SPEAKER_08

Probably should have wrote this down because Rock one, Stone Cold two, McMahon three. We got Undertaker at four. Foley at five. Triple H at six. Number seven is Shawn Michaels. Shawn Michaels.

SPEAKER_07

See, this is where we should write down.

SPEAKER_08

This is where we should write things down.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, because I feel like we just forgot somebody that quick. I know Steve Blackman is team.

SPEAKER_08

Yep. Yep. And we got China and we got.

SPEAKER_07

See, we should have written this stuff down. It's a pen factor in front of both people.

SPEAKER_08

I know, right? We both literally got Pim on mine. It's probably on the floor or some shit something right now. But yeah.

SPEAKER_07

And we just said it. Kane. Kane, yeah. That's what it was.

SPEAKER_08

Yep.

SPEAKER_07

It's right here in front of me. If I look down, I have some eight. Kane. That was one of cool. So, Rock 1, Stone Colour 2, Nick Man 3, Under Tackle was 4, Father was 5, Triple H was 6. Shawn Michaels. Well, Sean Michaels was seven. And then in that one we put Channel. And A, and they paint in there. Yes. Steve Black. Yes. Yeah, yeah, we changed it. Okay, cool. Hell yeah. Yes. Like this. It's our first episode. It's the main version. Give us the time.

SPEAKER_08

We're gonna make a wait until you see the next one. I'm already over here thinking in my head like a different shit. All right. So I was really about to say I'm a tweaker. But I was like, you know what, Joe? That is not the sentence no more, dog. You can't say that. That is not a that's a bad phrase.

SPEAKER_07

I was gonna say that's a that's totally different meaning. Yeah, that's yeah, fuck.

SPEAKER_03

Totally different.

SPEAKER_07

You was making fun of sentence.

SPEAKER_08

I was highlighting them and bringing attention to the fact that you have you have curated. Yeah, that's such a fancy word. Curated.

SPEAKER_07

The music producer idiot. Right, right. So when I think of creation, I think of a music producer. So that's very much me.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, so he's got like a really fancy tagline, and I'm I'm sitting here trying to think of like, you know, like what I can use. And you so what I used to tell people is my name is Joe Smith, bitch, kiss my ass. I so my problem is with that, is I said that so many times. One day I said it to this like 50-something-year-old woman, and she said, Well, sweetheart, present it, and I will. And I really thought she wasn't going to, dog. So I pulled down my pants. And this woman kissed my ass. And so I never said it anymore after that.

SPEAKER_06

So you told me that last time. Yeah. But then I went home and told my girl, they did have to have life for the game because we all just fancy the funniest thing. But again, what's wrong with it?

SPEAKER_08

Ain't nothing wrong with it, I guess. Yeah, it's the best I got, you know, it's tried and true. Yeah, hey, if you don't like it. Respectfully. You're wrong.
