The first note of a great wrestling theme song is basically a time machine. One second you’re on the couch, the next you’re back in an arena hearing a crowd surge because the intro told everyone exactly who’s coming through the curtain. We put that feeling to the test by ranking our favorite wrestling theme songs and entrance music, from classic WWE anthems to modern staples, and we get real about why certain themes never miss.

We hit everything from Hulk Hogan’s “Real American” nostalgia to R-Truth turning “What’s Up” into a live singalong, plus Chris Jericho’s “Break The Walls Down” versus “Judas” and how a single opening cue can rewrite a whole list. We also talk about the difference between a custom-made theme and a licensed track, including CM Punk’s “Cult of Personality” and the ethics and economics of royalties, re-records, and making sure artists get paid.

Then we zoom out into the bigger stuff: why John Cena’s “The Time Is Now” worked as a moment in pop culture, how the Eminem era changed what audiences were ready to accept, and why booking can waste momentum even when a wrestler’s entrance music is fire. We close with the themes that feel like final bosses, including NWO energy, Three 6 Mafia with Mark Henry, and why Edge “Metalingus” still hits like a main event.

If you’ve ever argued about the best WWE entrance music, you’ll have opinions on this one. Subscribe, share it with a wrestling fan, and leave a review with your all-time number one theme song.

Welcome And Theme Song Rules

SPEAKER_00

Hey, what do it is? Welcome to another episode of Respectfully You're Wrong. You know what I'm saying? It's your boy, Mr. Bell. AKA say your name up on the pie. Mana put you to my it's just me, Oos. It's just me, Oos.

SPEAKER_03

Day one is and on that note, we're doing theme songs today.

SPEAKER_00

Did any of those people or adjacent make your list?

SPEAKER_01

No.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, cool.

SPEAKER_03

You? No. Okay. I know I kind of felt bad as soon as I said it's just me, so I thought I ain't even include them in I'd like the if I like the Uso stand. I do.

SPEAKER_00

I do. I do like it's not really music. Well, it's music, obviously. But it's no words to it. Woman's intro now. I like it. Because I feel like it fits him.

SPEAKER_03

I need to go and check it out. I don't feel like I've really paid it much attention to the time that I can do it.

SPEAKER_00

You should check it out. I feel like it fits him. Not necessarily because I like the song, but because of it fits.

SPEAKER_03

There's somebody, yeah. There's one that uh did not make my list.

SPEAKER_00

I like somebody did make my list. Oh, I like that quick.

SPEAKER_03

Dang.

SPEAKER_00

Memory.

SPEAKER_03

Cold blooded.

SPEAKER_00

Memory. Yeah, oh, you have kids and stuff, you know what I'm saying? Yeah, they make you forget stuff. But anyways, yeah. We won't start off with it.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah, sure.

SPEAKER_03

God, I could only imagine if I did. I'm so proud of myself this time. I actually saved my list. I don't know if y'all realize it or not, but that is that's truly a feat for me because most of the time I was just like, I I kind of remember it.

SPEAKER_00

I always write, I have so most of that we do, I write my list down. Majority of the time, I have my one, and I end up, I have my 10. Because I always think, okay, I'd like to.

SPEAKER_03

You have the starting point, the ending point.

SPEAKER_00

My 10 is always like it's really my honorable. I start with my 10 is my honorable mention.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And then I build upon that. So it's really, it it's never been broke, it's never been beaten down the honorable mention, though. It's always been 10. So I always thought I always have one of 10.

SPEAKER_03

Do you have a few honorable mentions uh this time around?

SPEAKER_00

Yes, I actually do. Okay.

SPEAKER_03

Of CM Funk. He just threw his out there. Like, yes, I do. Actually, you know what? Since he did his honor, I'm gonna go ahead and say, because mine isn't really a theme song for a wrestler. Mine is uh the WrestleMania theme song from back in the days. Like I'm talking old school, like there was no words to it or nothing. It was just the music, and it was just because it was WrestleMania. So when you heard it, you instantly recognized big moment, and you're like, oh yeah, you know, just I didn't think of that. Yeah, okay.

Picks 10 Through 8 Begin

SPEAKER_03

Okay, you know, all right, number 10, Hulk Hogan, real American. I am an 80s baby, and that music, hmm, when it hits, brother, when it comes crashing down and it hurts inside. Oh yeah. Okay, just don't ever go and watch the music video. I don't recommend that. There's a music video. Yeah. I did not know that. It's it's Hogan playing a guitar in front of a mountain and an American flag and just all kinds of uh hmm. Yeah. Oh yeah, uh, another fun fact. Did you know that that wasn't actually his music at first? Really? Yeah, it was meant for another wrestler, and another wrestler, in fact, before him, used it a couple times, but that guy just didn't go anywhere.

SPEAKER_00

I think I remember hearing that. Yeah. When because you know they do the stuff after Hogan passed or whatnot. I think I I do remember hearing that. Yeah, don't ask me to wrestle, but I do remember hearing that.

SPEAKER_03

It might have been a tag team. I can't remember that one either, but yeah.

SPEAKER_00

No, I remember I remember that now. Okay, Hogan. All right, my number 10. R Truth, what's up? The reason it's 10 for me is because he performed it live every time. Like, honestly, like in this, I have listened to R Truth music, not this new project. And everybody says this new project is supposed to be really good, so I'm gonna check it out at some point. But I've listened, yeah. He actually rapped yeah, that wasn't actually him rapping, so that's the only reason it's 10.

SPEAKER_03

If he actually went there and did what he knows, yeah, I was gonna say that's just uh he he probably went in there and rapped, and then somebody listened to it and was like, That's nice. Now we have a PG audience. So if you could please go back in there and try to remember the audience that you're speaking to, and he was like, Okay, yeah, yeah. I I think when he went in there, Ron Killings probably did the song, and then they were like, No, we need our truth.

SPEAKER_00

We need, yeah, yeah, we need our truth to do this song. So if it was his actual rapping ability and he did it every time, it would be higher. But because he did it live every time, I'm good with our truth. So, yes. What's uh what was his name in TNA? Was it too quick? Am I making it up? No, too quick was somebody else.

SPEAKER_01

What was his name in TNA? I wanna see was he he wasn't K quick, was he? I think he was K quick.

SPEAKER_04

Is he K quick?

SPEAKER_00

Yes, I'm I think you're right. He was K quick. See, I said too quick. See, I do look in TNA. Come on, come on. Why is he not popping up for me as easy? Okay, you go to number nine and I'll uh number nine.

Jericho Changes The Whole List

SPEAKER_03

Chris Jericho. Break the walls down. I'm not the biggest Jericho now. I feel like, you know, he may he needs to go on the retirement run. He does. I don't even think he's supposed to be. Yeah, he's supposed to be, but he was also, you know, rumored to be showing up to Raw and all these other things. Who knows, really? But still, when that music hits, yeah. And maybe it's not even the whole music, it's just that beginning, you know what I'm saying? Just that like build up, but I'm glad you said that.

SPEAKER_00

Because now I gotta change my list. I gotta change my list because you just made me think of something. It is not, you said break the walls down. I'm gonna replace my number nine with this. It's actually Chris Jericho's theme, the fuzzy song that he uses in AEW. Oh yes. I love that dang song. I love that dangerous song. I'm glad you said this. Yes, my no, I gotta ooh, what is the name of the song? Because, yes, so let me say this. My original number nine was Trish Stratish. Um, look him performed it. I got it right here in front of me. Time to rock. Time to rock and roll. I think it's number nine because of Look Him performed it, and it's also Trish Stratus coming out to it. You know what I'm saying? We just gonna leave that as that.

SPEAKER_03

But you remember back when they were doing like they had the uh the hip-hop album with like every every uh Mark Henry had three six doing his. I'm aware, yes.

SPEAKER_00

You're foreshadowing a little bit.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, I'm aware. My bad.

SPEAKER_02

No, it's all good.

SPEAKER_03

I didn't watch wrestling that much during that period. That was like my only hiatus I really took. So I don't feel like you're gonna find much, if anything, from that period on my list. But I do remember specifically being like, we got Mark Henry, we got three, six mafias. Like, but then again, you know, they won uh what Academy Awards.

SPEAKER_00

They did. Yeah, they did Judas. That's the name of Chris Jericho's song. I was gonna, and yes, R Truff was K Quick. It was K Crush. K Crush? And then K Quick. Okay, so yes, but yes, Judas. I love that song. So yeah, my number nine is Chris Jericho Judas. So we both have Chris Jericho. Yeah. Shout out to Trisha Edison Look in. But I I'm sorry, I had to, you know, move y'all off the list. My apologies.

SPEAKER_01

So my number eight is CM Punk, Cult of Personality.

SPEAKER_00

See, that was my honorable mention.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. And I kind of struggled, you know what I'm saying? Like I didn't, I like the song, but also I feel like because it was a song first, not a theme song, like, you know, I'm saying, made specifically for him. That's kind of where I struggle with being like, okay, is this a like, yeah, it's a theme song, but it's a theme song because he was like, hey, that song's great.

SPEAKER_00

And it also made it was my honorable mention, and I was almost, almost made my list because everything he does to make sure those people, those that group that Ben gets paid. Yes. He goes out of his way and he does stuff. Like I think they re-recorded. They did so he could use it.

SPEAKER_03

That he could use in uh WWE.

SPEAKER_00

So he wants to make sure, hey, I love this song. I'm never gonna steal from you all. So y'all re-record it so I can make sure y'all can pay.

SPEAKER_03

I feel like, and I don't know if this is right, I feel like they weren't getting paid royalties off of the version that he was using. Like somebody else owns the masters for the version. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, and that's what it was. That's why he was like, wait a minute, you guys should be getting paid, you know. Let's go for that Taylor Swift, you know, kind of thing, and just make your own song again. And now they get paid off of it. So yeah, no. Yeah, that's dope.

SPEAKER_00

That's why he was my honorable mention because of what he does to make sure they get paid. Yeah, as well as it is a good song. So yeah, that's why I was my honorable mention. I almost made my list. So yeah, no, I respect it.

SPEAKER_01

Heck yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I respect it. All right, cool. My number eight is John Cena at the time is down. It's cheesy. Yes, I know. And maybe it's because I'm called up because he he retired recently. Maybe I'm caught up in the moment, and it's also in the same vein as he actually he performed this. And that's the same thing. That's why I like our truth. Is our truth did it every every time. This is John Cena actually rapping, so that's why it had to make my list, and I put it in the number eight.

SPEAKER_03

Isn't it crazy that he made a platinum rap album? Not if you made only one album and then he just went away.

SPEAKER_00

If you think about it though, let's be very blunt and real here.

SPEAKER_03

Now go ahead.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, because I yeah, it's not surprising that he made a platinum album because for one, the impact that WWE has.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, and the kids love him. The kids love him, yes, and he's also a Caucasian. Yes, yes.

SPEAKER_00

I always tell when we have like greatest rapper of all time conversations, I always put the asterisk next to him as far as because we I include album says, and I feel like that should be included, but I always put the asterisk next to him because simple fact him does have not trying to be me.

SPEAKER_03

No, no, but you know, and the cool part is at an advantage. Yeah, I love how he even he even acknowledges it, you know. Like you have fans of his, and I know we're going off on brand here, but you have fans of his that don't want to acknowledge it, but then you have him in his songs talking about let's do the math. If I was black, I would have sold half. I didn't have to graduate high school to know that. It's like, come on, man. He knows why is anybody else putting up an argument?

SPEAKER_00

Because a lot of people, that's what they want to run to, because that's one of their better. There's the they feel like that's their like uh trump card of saying, hey, he sold more albums than everybody. Why don't you assume that he's actually great at rapping? It's the core, you know what I mean? Because that's what he do. Yeah, so that's me. But yeah, but um, my number eight. Shout out to Johnson, Jordan Sue. Not though the nomics, the time is now super slam.

SPEAKER_03

Um, number, we're on

Kane’s Intro And Hip-Hop Picks

SPEAKER_03

seven, right? Yeah, you also cane. I don't know what the name of that song is, and I was not expecting Kane.

SPEAKER_00

Why Kane?

SPEAKER_03

That intro part, you know what I'm saying? Like, so okay, makes sense. I don't know, I don't know if you were watching wrestling back then, but when uh the original Hell in the Cell when he debuted, I seen it. You seen it. I wasn't watching. I was seeing it, yes. That music when that hit and it all went dim, like just whole lights went out and everything. You just heard you know, the beginning of it, and then uh fucking like the drum kicks in and oh my god, man. So intense. Just the oh tingles.

SPEAKER_00

When you said it, like when you think of because it's somebody on my list because of the beginning, it does make sense. What you said, okay. I wasn't expecting now. I am interested to see what else is on your list because of the cake. So, yeah, but nah, I was like, yeah, well, okay. All right, my number seven. You're gonna tell from my list it has a very lot of hip hop influence. So, my number seven is MVP. I'm coming by Sip the Shockle.

SPEAKER_03

I'm sorry, y'all. I got silk the shocker. Yeah, I did that. How many conversations have we had about Silk the Shocker?

SPEAKER_02

A lot, actually. The first time we recorded your house, we did a whole pot about No Limit versus Cash Money.

SPEAKER_03

I always say I love Silk, man. Like Silk the Shocker's album, The Shocker. Oh my god, man, freaking amazing. But I have this uh, I guess I'm gonna say debate. Yeah, that's the word I'm looking for. I have a debate over how good of a rapper Silk is. To me, I think he's amazing. A lot of people will say he couldn't stay on beat to save his life. He could. There are a few songs where you can point that out very it's not like his whole discography.

SPEAKER_02

We're talking about three songs. Okay, three albums. They put out he put out like 20 something albums. He was on beat. Wait, 20 times? Like and that ain't even counting all the time.

SPEAKER_03

That's better than Blueface has ever done.

SPEAKER_00

Blueface don't have that amount of music. Why is he famous? I do not okay. I'm sorry. I was really about to go on the tangent. I didn't mean to.

SPEAKER_03

I'm sorry. I didn't realize I was about to bring that out of here.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, because I always say, I'm gonna say this and I'm gonna say it real quick. The only reason Blueface is fighting this is because Cardi B got on his remix. Thatiana. Only reason he's fighting.

SPEAKER_03

I can't argue against that, yeah, because the first time I heard Thatiana, I was like, what are y'all doing here? This is what this is it? Okay. If it was not for I'm sorry, go ahead.

SPEAKER_00

Go ahead. But go ahead back to your soccer conversation because he he did do the theme song, and he was on beat for this, for the most part. For the most part, it's he he just rapped at a different uh he rapped on a different beat than the beat that he was actually supposed to be rapping on all the times on every song. Did they just so you were an engineer and a producer? So did they take his verses from other songs and put on so and that's why he was on?

SPEAKER_03

I think he was I think the time signature is what he's like, he's trying to go this like different time signature than you know, like instead of he's just sitting there like it he's just on a whole different I love you, Silk.

SPEAKER_00

It's not my only no limit entry, by the way. A little more foreshadowing.

SPEAKER_04

Ooh!

SPEAKER_03

Oh man, that one wasn't a theme song, otherwise I include it. I'm gonna do another honorable mention why he says that Hootie Who by Tru. Because they did use that on Nitro a couple times during that uh whole rap versus country thing going on there. Yeah. The Nolan Soldiers and the uh West West uh Texas Rednecks. There it is.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, but yeah, no, not my only no limit. But yeah, so you know what I'm saying? He made the list. Shout out to MVP. I'm so proud.

SPEAKER_03

When we get done with this, I do have another uh idea for discussion that's not on this podcast, you know. Okay, yeah. Um, okay, number Did you already do your number? Yeah, you did. You just said I just said silk the shocker. Number six, John Cena. I didn't want to go too high with John Cena, but I didn't want to go too low with him. Kind of wanted to keep him somewhere in the middle. I like the music, uh the rapping part I can almost do without really. So the horn.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. So we're talking about the time is now, right? Okay. Not thugonomics. Okay, cool.

SPEAKER_03

I don't even know if I remember thuggonomics. Oh, yeah, I remember thugonomics. That was like when he first started. Yes, when he first came out.

SPEAKER_00

When he first came out and started rapping.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, no. I was not a Cena fan when he started rapping. When he was coming out there wearing the jerseys, the Mitchell and Ness jerseys and rapping. I uh no. I was like, what in what are we doing here? Did we have to do this?

SPEAKER_00

Ram a question.

SPEAKER_01

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_00

Because let's talking about it. We talked about Eminem earlier. Do you think Eminem being so big in pop culture helped John Cena get over? Absolutely. Okay. I never thought about this until we had this conversation.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, yeah. No, absolutely. I feel like because, you know, I'm saying the white rapper thing, and then you know, right around that time, it was Eminem, and then there was like a whole kind of movement of like, you know, white people going into rap music, and like you're saying, white America was just like, finally, I got something for little Kyle here to listen to. Come here, Tucker.

SPEAKER_01

Look, I mean, that's the truth.

SPEAKER_00

Ebbene was probably not the best person.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, he was not, no, but that and that's the funniest thing. Like, you know, yeah, they were just like, oh my god, this blonde-haired, blue-eyed white kid. I can let my kid listen to it. And they didn't realize, man, this dude's about to be worse than letting your kid listen to a two short album. You should go check out a two-shum if you don't understand that reference.

SPEAKER_02

You think damn, I think Eminem Bra is worse than two short.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, you ever heard Song Kim? Yeah. Oh, come on now, Donald. It gets much worse than that.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, you I okay, cool.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, no.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, cool, cool, cool. Yeah, but I never thought about it until now that the success of Eminem helped push John Cena at that time and helped that character build upon what he was. Oh, yeah. So yeah, no. So yeah, it makes sense. Okay, cool. Uh, that was number six, right? Okay, cool.

Batista Energy And Entrance Memories

SPEAKER_00

This is my first uh well, no, I did uh Judas, so this is gonna be my second non-hip hop um song. Batista, I'll walk along.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Remember we saw I said the entrance, Johnson, oh no, John Cena. Batista coming out doing the oh yeah. With some uh somebody uh I seen somebody do anything with it, and I was like, um, I don't know if this is the place for that, man. But if y'all into that, do y'all think? I I don't know if the person, you know, I'm in the marriage gonna be okay with me coming out here with the Batista situation.

SPEAKER_03

I would I would hope that there was like a big discussion amongst more than just even bride and groom, because you know, you got family there and they're gonna be sitting there like looking over, you marrying this dude. But you know it's the crazy though?

SPEAKER_00

What's that? If she's cool with it, I really don't care if you're doing that's what I'm saying. But I understand your point because everybody's because then she has to answer to this. And then depending on your relationship with your family, they're looking at you like, come on, bro, what are we doing? So now I get that. But I mean, I'm gonna be like, well, she said it was okay. That's right. Not saying I'm gonna do it because it's not really something I'm gonna do.

SPEAKER_03

But yeah, get married again. I'm probably gonna have to do something like that. Maybe I'll do the cane entrance.

SPEAKER_02

What?

SPEAKER_03

I don't know. Just like you just said, you know, I wanna the family's gonna be looking over like, really? Yeah. And she's gonna be sitting there like, I mean, I'm gonna be smelling.

SPEAKER_02

I'm gonna be laughing like I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

I'm probably gonna fall out. I'm just wherever we're at, I'm gonna fall out. I'm okay. So you know, don't nobody have to worry. I'm just gonna be a laughter that much. So yeah, but no, but I walk along here. The entrance and then the the title of the song along I walk along with so many characteristics of my life. So yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Is that I'm trying to remember. Is that a God Smack song? I feel like I'm gonna have to look that up sometime, but I'm pretty sure, yeah. It's number five. Rick Flair. I knew this was gonna be on the list. It has to be. I can't put it too high up on the list because again, it wasn't it's not really his, you know, it's a freaking theme song for saliva. Okay, there's a lot of things. Thank you. Yeah, God's magnet standalone. That's where I get a confused. Um, but yeah, like when you hear dun dun dun dun dun, you know, that whole thing, you just know. And then doom doom doom doom doom doom doom doom like it's a big deal. And Rick Flair is gonna come out there strutting, and hopefully he doesn't have a heart attack on his way down to the ring. Hopefully he makes it to the ring. Hopefully he ain't skipping out on a bar tab. That's neither here nor there. But anyway, we love you, Rick.

SPEAKER_01

Don't wrestle again. Don't do it. For the sake of everybody. Everyone. Do not wrestle again. No, please. No. Stop drinking, too.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, we've seen that cameo, bro. Well, you know, honestly. Okay. Well, did you see that cameo? Because I just lied. I have not seen the cameo yet.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, so here's my thing. Once a I'm not trying to call Rick Florida Oak, but what I'm about to say is saying Rick Florida's oh, once you get to a certain age, you should be able to do what you want to do.

SPEAKER_01

As long as within reason.

SPEAKER_03

As long as it's not affecting anyone else, I guess. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

If he if he wanna drink at home in his mansion, oh yeah, or have somebody, you know, go with him out and be his personal driver.

SPEAKER_00

Right. I'm I think he should be okay to do that. Of course, I'm in, I'm sure I'm in a minority with that. It's funny, I said minority. But I I'm sure I am because a lot of people's gonna be like, well, you get that, oh, you gotta take extra precautions and all that. But I get it, and y'all probably right.

SPEAKER_03

But if you make it that far, he got that Rick Flair drip.

SPEAKER_00

Go woo on the you know, so yes, I think he should be, but I could be wrong. Yeah, I could be wrong. Is it my turn? Oh, it's my turn because you just did.

Solo Sikoa And WWE Booking Rant

SPEAKER_00

So I said that I had a bloodline member.

SPEAKER_04

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_00

You probably don't know this theme. Solo Secor. Yeah. I don't know the theme though. But you know who I'm talking about.

SPEAKER_03

But I know solo.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. The theme music is real good. I love the theme music. I think it's very underrated as far as people that's actually wrestling right now. Cool. I said I had to say, and I knew I was gonna go on this tangent when I put him down on this list. Because I say it on from our perspective, shout out to my boy Deion. I say this on all the time when we talk about if Solo comes up at all, I say this all the time. Y'all had him beat John Cena sometime last year and did absolutely nothing with it. And then John Cena came back and was on a room retirement too, and y'all didn't even put him in that neither. So, y'all liked it or John Cena lost.

SPEAKER_03

Bro, I feel like they they dropped the ball with solo so bad. Yeah. Like they had him built up, you know what I'm saying? Like he was he was a dominant heel. Like he was. You looked at him and you're like, that's a threat. Yes, you know, uh uh Jacob, you know, Patu, when he came in there, they dropping the ball with him now, too. Imagine he's hurt now, but uh yeah, he just had dental surgery. Yeah, he's supposed to be coming back, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, so but they dropped the ball with so John Cena took law. I've been saying this, I've been saying this, especially this year. I also said it last year. John Cena can't take wasted losses. He took a wasted loss because simple fact they didn't do nothing with Solo. And like you said, when Solo debuted, he was and when he was on NXT, he was a force. And then he got he got to the main roster, he was a force. And then it's like once he got away from his brother's enrollment, yeah, they built him up to be like a leader of a crew, but without the force.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And he just doing all the talking. Like, no, he should be the leader that also backs it up as well. I feel like they're wasting the potential of what Solo has. And I feel like I don't think it's too late, but if they don't fix it fast, it will be too late. There's no reason why Solo shouldn't be contending for a championship.

SPEAKER_03

Solo should be, you know, like they're building up the vision right now so much. That is and then Rollins, you know what I'm saying, goes out. You need some like high profile character that can come around there and still look like in a threat. Solo. Solo. But no, you mother gave us Austin Theory.

SPEAKER_00

So he didn't see that. He's all good. I know. It's all good. But they wasted Austin third, too. That's a whole nother conversation.

SPEAKER_03

They did.

SPEAKER_00

And I also think Bronson Reed is better than Braun Breaker. Go ahead with your you brought up the vision. So I you know, we we only talk about wrestling on our PLEs. So I just wanted the opportunity to get that out because I haven't had the opportunity. So you go ahead.

SPEAKER_03

Bronn's just, you know, he's he's we know who's his father is. I was gonna say he's a stainer, so the name carries more.

SPEAKER_00

And I'm not saying that I'm not saying Braun Burker's not good.

SPEAKER_03

They're careful with Braun, though, man. Have you seen how many times he's like dang near just screwed himself up, landing on neck, all kinds of stuff, man?

SPEAKER_00

You're right. But Braun Breaker, they were not Braun Burker, Bronson Reed. Y'all wasted him too, because simple fact y'all had him beat Roman twice. Y'all built Roman as this unstoppable force. He done beat Roman twice. It's gonna get to the same thing. Roman Reigns ain't here all the time. Roman Reigns can't be having wasted losses. If he's gonna lose to uh Bronson Reed, y'all better make sure y'all book Bronson Reed.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, okay. You gotta build up the future talents.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, my bet. It's your turn.

SPEAKER_01

I went on a whole tangent. I'm sorry, y'all. I mean, I kind of egged it along with something.

SPEAKER_03

Number four.

NWO Legacy And Three 6 Mafia

SPEAKER_03

NWO.

SPEAKER_01

That's a great selection. It is. It's uh iconic.

SPEAKER_03

I feel like and it's crazy to think, you know, Hogan is more uh at this point, I feel like Hogan is more associated and known with that NWO theme than even the real American theme. That's an excellent point. I also think it's because, you know, the real American theme is tied to the Hulk Hogan that people don't necessarily really like as much. But they loved the bad guy Hogan. Like that was that was our guy right there, you know.

SPEAKER_00

Because it was cool.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Him, oh man. That was it was NWO was cool.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

It was it was cool. Uh so my next one again hip hop in. You already mentioned it. Mark Henry, someone is gonna get you all there.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, yes. Ah anytime even three six makes a sign. I was gonna race hey, yes, give me your guys.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, your guys. So yeah, Paul. Yes, no. I had to go with you. Oh gosh, yeah. So yeah, now uh Mark Mark Henry does this. Mark Henry, Mark Henry, the walk too.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah, coming out to the song.

SPEAKER_03

Dude, Mark Henry was like he was what they should be doing with Bronson Reed.

SPEAKER_00

I was do you I also think Mark Henry should have had more title runs.

SPEAKER_03

Oh yeah. No, he definitely should have.

SPEAKER_00

So that's why, but you're right. That's what they should have done. I know I know he had a week go ahead.

SPEAKER_03

I'm sorry.

SPEAKER_00

I was gonna say, I know he had a world, he did have, if I remember right, he had an ECW run.

SPEAKER_03

He had one, and then he he had a world title run.

SPEAKER_00

But then I don't I want to say that was it. I don't feel like he was he challenged him. Yeah, but um, if I remember correctly, you know more wrestling than me, so if I got it wrong, sorry.

SPEAKER_03

I'll have to go on that one.

SPEAKER_00

If we got it wrong, I'm sorry. But I was I know he got one WW, one because him and John Cena went back and forth because he faked a retirement, which was a great storyline. Yes, and then he had the ECW run before the ECW title run before that. Yeah, ECW title runs was always the it was like the mid card to the heavyweight. If you remember that when they had them three brands, it was like smart held the ECW title at that point, man.

SPEAKER_01

It was like you need to be a champion, and you probably look better than a mid-card. Uh-huh. So we give you this ECW run.

SPEAKER_03

Right, right. Like, we ain't gonna give you the U.S. heavyweight title. Don't worry, we know you're a bigger deal than that. What do you got for me? This one. Yes, yes. It's like it's like looking at your kid and being like, don't worry, we're not going to Kmart today. And then taking them to Walmart. Is it not Kmart? Sure. It ain't Target though.

SPEAKER_02

It ain't only people go, people of certain generations gonna know what Kmart is.

SPEAKER_00

That's why I grew up shout out. I grew up in Kmart. You know what I'm saying? Shout out to Bill, shout out to Lila, Mr. Bray Glenn.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, no, but yeah, I grew up in Kmart. I miss it sometimes. Yes, so yeah. All right, Mark Henry. Number three.

SPEAKER_03

I swear the more I read my number three, the more I just don't even know if I really believe that it's my number three, but I wrote it down, so Stone Cold.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. So why do you not believe that's your number three?

SPEAKER_03

Because the more I hear the song in my head, it just doesn't like the first time I thought about it, and I was like, oh yeah, Stone Cold. And I heard that glass break in my head, and I was just like, oh yes. But then I keep on like kind of rewinding it in my head, and like after the glass breaks, you know, like and I'm just like, was I really pushing your number three being pie?

SPEAKER_02

I know. Is it the glass breaking why it's number three? Probably, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Which so I'm not judging you because I thought about it and I asked myself, is it the song or is it the glass breaking?

SPEAKER_03

And then him coming because he came out like they even had like sometimes, you know what I'm saying, where like they would have the uh that breakaway glass or whatever, you know what I'm saying? The glass would break and that stuff would fall, and he just walked through there, and it's yeah, it's like that right there.

SPEAKER_00

But once that music kicked in, I was just like so it's the glass barking in his poor. I can see why, because it almost made my list. So I understand it.

SPEAKER_03

I think if I was really gonna go with it, I'd probably have to do Vince's No Chance in Hell. That's a good one. Yeah, that's a good one. Because that one was always that kind of always got me, you know.

SPEAKER_00

Because it's not what you get. So yeah, nah, I respect it. All right, cool. Mob number three, Randy Orton voices.

SPEAKER_03

I was walking the dogs earlier, and I was sitting there trying to come up with my list, and the first thing I started doing was going, and then I get home and I make my list out, and you know what I don't put on there? Randy Orton. Randy Orton. I am disappointed in me right now, man. I don't love that song.

SPEAKER_00

That song is yes, yeah. No, it I know he had other themes, um, but I'm glad he don't.

SPEAKER_03

He ain't got no other themes.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. Okay, cool. We'll do that then.

SPEAKER_03

Um everybody rewriting history these days, we're gonna do it too.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, cool. I won't say nothing else then. My number three is Radio or Voices. So, yes. I also thought about Evolutions thing.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I thought about it. It didn't make my list, didn't make my list. It's another one that honorable mentioned, but I don't think it this might be on your list, so I don't wanna say it.

SPEAKER_03

I wonder if it's gonna be the same thing I'm thinking of an honorable mention to. Probably is number two, Cody Rhodes.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, okay, yeah. Can I tell you the reason why Cody's didn't make my list, because it's the same thing with the breaking glass, it's really just when for me. For me, when everybody does the, you know what I mean? The um now I can't think of it. That's why. But not knocking your list, it's your list. Not even gonna say respectfully wrong her. I kinda did. In a roundabout way. I kinda did, but yeah, no, I no, no, no, you can't rock with this one, he just ain't with it.

SPEAKER_03

No, no, this is dope that so it was between that one and edge. Uh Metalingus. Yeah, that one. Both of those two kind of like are on par together. I take that back. Metalinguis might be a little bit more because I do listen to that one in the car because it's you know, but also it's an actual song, so you know, ask her. Okay, okay.

SPEAKER_00

So yeah, I'll okay. So we we we're gonna say CM oh not see him, uh, Carly Rhodes.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

With a slide up slider edge.

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, cool. Yes, okay, cool. I need to look at the list because I know my number one, too. My number two is NWO Wolfback. No I one of the Wolfback. Because we have to talk about what this we have talked about, but also, you know who performed that song? Dead Press?

SPEAKER_03

No, no, but I know that's kind of what the song. Like, do you remember the Dead Press song that it sounds like? No, you're gonna have to show you gonna have to play that for me. Okay, okay.

SPEAKER_00

Remember, I said there was another No Limit mention?

SPEAKER_01

It was a No Limit song, wasn't it? Yeah, it's a C Murder song.

SPEAKER_00

C Murder in Thank you, thank you. C Murder in uh Beat Down Clan. Yes, yes.

SPEAKER_03

I had forgotten that was C Murder. Yep, yeah, that's why it is. I'd heard that like one time in passing, and I was like, oh, that's C Murder.

SPEAKER_00

But it always C Miller, sorry. We Oh my bad. It's my fault. Change man, my bad. No disrespect. C. Miller.

SPEAKER_03

Your name was C Murder when you made that song. That's why I'm gonna. So that's what we go with? Yeah, you see Murder back then.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, cool. Yeah, no, but yeah, that is my number two. Yes. NWO Wolfpack.

unknown

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

I did love that when it came out. You know me. I love I love the NWO Wolfpack. Plus the colors are red and black. Oh yeah. It's just it's Steam is red and black. Flyer, go ahead.

SPEAKER_03

I ran out straight to Hot Topic and bought an NWO Wolfpack shirt as soon as I seen it in that window.

SPEAKER_00

At some point, so I'm gonna be on this pod at an NWO Wolfpack t-shirt. Yes. At some point, so yes.

SPEAKER_03

I'm surprised I ain't never worn a wrestling shirt on this pod yet. I have tons of inventory, so kind of so good.

SPEAKER_02

I don't know where to go with that. I guess when y'all do a wrestling theme, you probably could have worn a shirt, but I could have had it's all good.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I actually had one on earlier, but the dog's got too much hair on it, it was dirty as the whole thing. I was like, I'll just take this off.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, yeah. Number

Number One Themes And Final Rankings

SPEAKER_00

one. Hold on, real quick. What if you did the whole next series in our wrestling shirts?

SPEAKER_03

Oh, I'm dude. I'm telling you, you have no idea how many I've got in there. Now, a lot of them, I'll say, are independent wrestlers. So, you know, you know me, I love to support them. There you go. Yes, independent man, you gotta support them dudes. They ain't got them big contracts. They're trying to get them big contracts, so you know, try to always help them out. Uh Omega, he was a dude over in Jeffersonville. Do you know, do you know Bill? The wrestling school? No, this is a wrestler. Oh no. Oh, okay. Because he's always out and about over in Jeff, man. So I didn't know, man. No, no. Yeah, he's real. I had me to the real dope, dude, man. Real awesome.

SPEAKER_02

Is that wrestling school still in J?

SPEAKER_03

Yes, Grindhouse. Number one. The four horsemen.

SPEAKER_00

You ever heard it? Yeah. And I'm disappointed in myself. I didn't know he was gonna that was gonna be on your list. I knew Reclare was gonna be there. And I figured Hogan was gonna be there. I'm disappointed in myself not knowing you gotta. My apologies.

SPEAKER_03

That dude that that there's something about, you know, I'm saying, just the dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun. It's oh god. The melody of it, the simplicity, the way it just kind of starts off, you know, like you got that sound effect of like the horses, and it I don't know, it combines everything that I love in like music, you know, so much.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, I should have known better that that would be your number one. Yeah, my apologies to you. Okay, ready for my number one? Yeah, you even have a thought of who it might be.

SPEAKER_02

No, okay, cool.

SPEAKER_00

It's actually not hip-hop related at all.

SPEAKER_03

No, I haven't. I am curious now.

SPEAKER_00

You actually just said it.

SPEAKER_04

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

You know, I ain't the biggest like rock guy, but it the music, the words is good. The music is good. And then what also helps is you think you know me.

SPEAKER_01

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_00

That he starts it with that and then he comes out. I can't say the name of the song. So I didn't write that down because I didn't like know how to pronounce it or whatever, and I wasn't gonna butcher it. So I was just gonna say, if you think you know me, Edge. And then yeah, hopefully y'all know the rest because you said it. Metalingus. Yeah, cool. I'm not even gonna try. Metalingus. You did it! Yeah, I yeah, okay, cool. Luck and prayer. So that is that's my number one because it has all I feel like it has all the elements of a great dance song, and it also has the great entrance and all that to go along with it, and also a great wrestler to go along with it as well. Shout out to uh Adam Copeland or Edge, whatever you want to call him. Um, so yeah, that's my number one, itch.

SPEAKER_03

That song, like I didn't even realize it was a uh song that wasn't, you know, just his theme until I had a um I got a rock playlist, go figure, and I was listening to it one day, and the song comes on, and it's just like playing for a little bit, and then I hear a part of it and I was like, wait a minute, that's that's Edge. I started over again, and I was just like, Oh god, yes. And I realized what the name of it was, and uh Just listen to it so much after that.

SPEAKER_00

That song is amazing. I love that song. Yeah. I always love the intro and all that. So yeah, that's my number one. Yes. We should do a top 10 rock songs. And the match is going to be very generic. And then once we do the ranking, we'll just go with what you whatever you say. Because it ain't like I know. I'm just going to give you my two favorite rock songs. I don't know. You know what I'm saying? I don't feel like I should have a voice in that matter. Alright, cool.

SPEAKER_01

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

Our top, our top 10, unbiased. With 10, I feel like being biased a little bit. Let's be real. Our 10 was a little bit biased. Yeah, probably is, yeah. Okay, cool. Our number 10, NWO Wolfpack. We did flirt with Mark Henry, but we're going NWO Wolf, NWO Wolfpack. Um, nine, break the walls, Chris Jericho's theme. Our truth, because he performed it live every time. Every time. Still does. Yeah. They also wasted him, but I ain't got time to go into that.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, we don't got time to go back to that.

SPEAKER_00

Because they did all the okay. Oh John Cena, the time is now. Next, no chance in hell. By Vincent uh for Vincent Mill. I was gonna say by Vincent Male, like he actually was in uh Rick Flair is number five. Number four, Batista, I'll walk alone. Three, NWO, which is you know the black and white. And then number two, Randy Orton's voices. And number one, Edge.

SPEAKER_03

Uh the Natalingus. Yeah, what he said. Now, watch, man. I'm probably even saying it wrong. Somebody's gonna be like, My God, these fucking idiots.

SPEAKER_00

You got it closer than I ever will.

SPEAKER_03

I feel like we did a good list here. Oh man, I feel like we did a great list. I feel like we always do a great list. Yes. So I give us 10 out of 10 every time. Yeah, because we're we're probably biased about that.

SPEAKER_00

So just a little bit, but it's the truth. It's okay to be biased when it's the truth. Our truth.

SPEAKER_02

You see what I did there. I see what you did there.

SPEAKER_03

I can't stand myself.

SPEAKER_00

All

Quick Sign-Off And Next Ideas

SPEAKER_00

right, cool. It's your boy, Mr. Bear, aka K Say your name up on the spot. Mine up with you tomorrow.

SPEAKER_03

And it's me, Joe. And I don't have anything that catchy and that fast yet. But if you give me some time, I probably still won't.

SPEAKER_00

I have gone through so many.

SPEAKER_01

Have you?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I have gone through so many. Yeah, you know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_03

I gotta work on it.

SPEAKER_00

It's all good. But yeah, they got to listen to another episode of Respectfully.

SPEAKER_03

You're wrong.

SPEAKER_00

I like what we did there. I do too.
