Sometimes faith isn’t tested when things are going well—
it’s tested when you’re tired… worn down… and ready to quit.

In this powerful and honest episode of FaithFinder, we lean into the encouragement found in Epistle to the Galatians 6:9:

"And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."

What do you do when you’ve been faithful… but you’re exhausted?
When you’ve been consistent… but you don’t see results?
When life keeps applying pressure, and your strength feels like it’s running out?

This episode speaks directly to those moments.

Joined by special guest Pastor Jimmy Prather, we have a real and encouraging conversation about persevering in faith when life feels heavy—when responsibilities pile up, challenges don’t let up, and you feel like you’re running on empty.

Together, we unpack:

✨ What it means to stay faithful when you feel worn down
✨ How pressure can either break you or build you
✨ Why weariness is often a sign you’ve been doing the right thing consistently
✨ The danger of quitting right before your breakthrough
✨ How God renews your strength in seasons of exhaustion

Pastor Jimmy Prather shares wisdom and insight on how to remain grounded in God during seasons of pressure, reminding us that perseverance is not about having endless energy—it’s about having enduring faith.

Because the truth is:

You can be faithful and still feel tired.
You can be obedient and still feel overwhelmed.
You can trust God and still need strength.

But Galatians 6:9 gives us a promise—there is a harvest connected to your perseverance. The key is not giving up.

When you feel like stopping… keep going.
When you feel like quitting… lean into God.
When you feel weak… remember that God’s strength is made perfect in your weakness.

If you’ve been experiencing:

• Burnout
• Emotional or spiritual exhaustion
• Pressure from life’s responsibilities
• Discouragement from delayed results
• The urge to quit something God called you to

This episode will encourage you to hold on.

Because your faith is not failing—you’re just in a season that requires endurance.

And what you’re building through perseverance will produce something greater than you can see right now.

Thank you for having me.

SPEAKER_01

Amen. As always, we are going to start off with a word of prayer. Most gracious and heavenly Father, Lord, we thank you, Jesus. We thank you, we thank you, we thank you for your love, your grace, and your mercy. Lord, we thank you for the episode and the lesson on tonight. Heavenly Father, we've all been there, Lord God. Hallelujah, hallelujah. We've all been there when we felt the pressure, Lord, when we felt defeated, Lord Jesus. I'm asking that on tonight, Lord God, you were Pastor Prater's mouth. Hallelujah. Let your words come forward to encourage your people. Hallelujah, Lord Jesus, please forgive us of anything we have said, done, thought, or felt that is unlike you. Continue, Lord Jesus, to check us and to correct us, to chastise us, that we may not sin against you. And even when the pressure is on us, Lord God, even when we're tired, not only in our bodies, but in our spirit, Lord God. Hallelujah, Lord Jesus, help us to remember this episode and what is going to come forth and to keep those tools in our toolbox, Lord, that we may be able to hold on and reignite our fire under pressure, our fire and our faith, Lord Jesus, when we're tired. Hallelujah. Let something be said on tonight, Lord Jesus, to prick someone's heart. Hallelujah. Glory to your name. Let something be said, Lord Jesus, through this episode. Hallelujah. Glory to your name. Hallelujah. Where they come running and say, What must I do to be saved? I don't know the Lord in that in that way, Lord Jesus. Let something be said through this episode. Hallelujah. That draws the backslider back to you. Glory to your name, Jesus. Let something be said. Hallelujah. Oh, glory to your name that gives them the determination and the desire, Lord God, to make sure when you return, Jesus, that you will find great faith in the earth. And Lord, we'll be kept to give you the glory, the honor, and the praise. And it's in Jesus' mighty name that we pray. Amen. Amen and amen. Hallelujah.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord.

SPEAKER_01

Our scripture for tonight comes from Galatians chapter 6, verse 9. And it says, And let us not be weary in well-doing, for in due season we shall reap if we faint not. We shall reap if we faint not. So our focus for tonight is faith when you get worn down or it gets too hard, or faith when you're tired or under pressure. So, Pastor Prather, your people.

SPEAKER_00

Amen. Amen. Um, you picked a good uh theme. Uh definitely in the time that we are in now. You took you picked a very good theme. Um, I'm excited about the podcast, not because I'm on it, but even to know uh that what you have going on is going to reach people because when you bring up these topics, these are topics that get brought up only in seminars, where people gotta register. They only get brought up uh uh in certain you know uh uh conversations that may have you, but you have it where everybody will be able to uh get this information and be encouraged for free. Amen. They all they have to do is come in, amen, and and and and and tap in uh uh uh to what it is that you are doing, which is this is ministry. And so I'm glad you brought this up because um Galatians 6 and 9 is uh is is is when Paul is talking to them, he's letting them know that even though we are dealing with the uh uh the whole I'm doing the work of the Lord, I'm doing the work of the Lord, we might not always see immediate results. Uh a lot of times, or we might not see not only immediate results even in the spirit realm, but sometimes even in the tangible. Uh uh, we don't see anything that, okay, God, I'm doing this, I'm doing this, I'm doing this, I'm doing this. Now, when he said be not weary and well doing, he's telling the church at then as it as as he as well as he's telling the church now. He's letting us know that keep doing the work of the Lord. He wasn't just saying doing something good. He when he said be not weary and well doing, he's talking about continuing in the faith. He's talking about continuing trusting God, he's talking about continuing ministering to people and witnessing and continuing yourself, amen, uh uh uh uh in the um in the Holy Ghost, amen, and continuing yourself in the faith that it is that you need. And the issue we run into a lot of times, I find ourselves um seeing that a lot of people are not able to continue simply because they don't know where the results come from. When you know where the results come from, you can continue. Um, a lot of times that's what that's the that's one of the biggest issues because they don't know really where the results come from. When you don't have faith, we walk by faith and not by sight. So a lot of times people think the results is gonna come from their job, the results is gonna come from those that they talk to, the results is gonna come from their family, and they don't realize they know no your family is the process, but the results come from God. It's like taking a test in school. When you take a test in school, amen, you're not taking a test for your friends, you're taking the test, amen, from for those who hold the results. So when you're taking a test, amen, the test is the process, amen. But passing it, amen, is the uh uh is the results that you're going to get in the end. And everybody learns on different levels. So, what I mean by that, everybody grows their faith on different levels, amen. Sometimes people do have to go through the storm uh uh once, twice, maybe three times before they get it. But when they get it, oh, you got to keep on going. You have to know that I will not be weary in well doing because I know I'm doing the right thing. For we have to walk by faith and not by sight. And when you do those things, you have to understand that people look at you crazy because you're saying that I trust God, but I'm tired. I'm trusting God, but I'm weary, I'm trusting God. And I know that the question has been uh uh uh posed here where uh how do we do these things when we are tired? How do we do these things? How do we find faith when we are weary? Well, the question is how bad do we want it? That's what it boils down to. How bad do we want it? Because when you want something bad, I don't care how tired you are, it's like, but I got to get to it, I have to get it done. When we worked on our church and our ceiling fell in, and that wasn't supposed to be a part of the process, but during the process of remodeling the church, where I had faith that we was going to get it done, but sometimes during the uh uh your faith process, amen, there's something else that takes place, and that's the issue we run into. So, what do I do? But I wanted the church to be done so bad that even though my knee was messed up, even though I messed up my ankle and my foot got swollen, I kept going because I wanted it done so bad. So the thing is, it has to be how bad do you want it? How bad do you want this? Do you understand who hold the results? How bad do you want to pass this grade? How bad do you want you when you really want to pass, you'll go to summer school, you'll go to night school because I want to graduate. And you have to be at a place where you want it so bad. He was letting them know here uh in Galatians. He was letting them know, hey, listen, you got to see God, you got to continue to go to see God, to please God. No, everybody is not going to be there. Everybody's not going to give you a pat on the back. No, you're not going to see the immediate results. Amen. Whether it be the thank you from the people or whether it be God favoring you, but knowing who the results come from, just know the results are coming in. Because why? He will never, he will never fill us. He will never fill us. When you go to the hospital and you want to know what's going on with you, they let you know. We'll let you know when the results come in. But because you know where you at, this is a professional place of business. This is a place where they have gone to school and had a career to do this. I trust them. Amen. And they're going to call me and give me the results. I would have never gone to the hospital if I know they couldn't give me results.

unknown

Right.

SPEAKER_00

We have to get closer to God. That's why He's letting them know be not weary in well-doing, simply because when we get weary, amen, we get worn down, and before you know it, we want to give up because we're saying ourselves, what's going to happen next? It's not about what's going to happen next, it's about who holds next. Not what's going to happen next. But who holds the next is the issue. I mean, it's the question that we have to uh ask, and it's the thing that we must know, amen. Who holds the next? Who has it? The person that holds the next is the person that's holding it now. You just ain't found out yet. That's all that is. So not only do we hold the next, amen, he's holding it now, amen. But he has not given it to you yet. Amen. So what we have to find ourselves and position ourselves in a place where when we focus on God, when we focus on God, we cannot put our focus on other things when we're focusing on God. Yes, we have life we have to focus on, we have careers we have to focus on. But that moment of focusing on God is a moment of God, I'm going to focus on you forever. That means why? When I get in tune is what I'm saying with God. All right. I'm never going to get out of tune with God. My getting in tune might be I get a little weak. All right. I get a little weak. I'm a bass player. I'm not a real bass player, but I'm a bass player. So let me say this: when I play the bass, I have a thing what they call a tuner. Because sometimes, because of the weather, it depends on the weather in the church. It became it depends on the moisture. And actually, it takes the bass out of tune. It's not that somebody came and messed with the tuning pegs. So every Sunday, every Wednesday, when I come to church, the bass instrument, not the keyboard, not the organ, not the drums, but the bass, I have to go to and I have to turn on the tuner to make sure that it didn't get out of tune because of the weather, because of the condition, because I have to make sure that I get back in tune. But because I have a tuner, it lets me know, and it's a meter on this tuner, and this tuner does like this. And it lets me know when it goes down backwards, that means it's flat. When it goes above it, that means it's sharp. But it's not supposed to go above it, and it's not supposed to go uh uh under it, it's supposed to go directly in the middle, and when it goes directly in the middle, it's not a yellow signal, it's not a red signal. The yellow signal means flat, the red means I'm too sharp. But when you go right in the middle, it's a green signal. Green means go. God said, when you get in alignment with me, everything that I have for you, don't get weary, you get to go. Don't get weary of everything that I have for you, you're gonna take off. I promise you. When you line up, I'm giving you the green light. When you line up, I'm giving you the green light with your finances. I'm giving you the green light with your business, I'm giving you the green light with your faith. I'm giving you the green light to step out there and say, I'm gonna do this. I know everybody's gonna look at me crazy. I know they're gonna say what is wrong with them, but I'm doing it anyway. Why? Because I got the green light to go. And when you have the green light to go, yeah, I mean you are in alignment with God. Okay? So you have to make sure that even when you do get out of tune, you find your tuning and you get back in tune. When you get out of tune, you find your tuner and you must get back in tune. You must he give you the equipment to get back in tune. What is the equipment? Our faith. Our faith is our equipment. And we didn't the the strings are still there. Huh. The equipment is still there, the tuning pegs is still there. You understand what I'm saying? The base guitar, the neck, is still there. All of the things that I need, it just got out of tune. I did not destroy the equipment, it did not, I did not lose the equipment. All it did was get out of tune. I did not lose my faith, I did not destroy my faith, it just got out of tune. So all I have to do is find out, Lord, how do I get back in tune with you? Because I can't get back in tune with faith when I don't get back in tune with you first. I have to get back in tune with you. And then, God, you begin to strengthen me to begin back in tune with my faith. Being not weary and well doing, you are on the right track. Whoever's listening to this at this moment, you are on the right track. You just got out of tune. But God said, I've given you the equipment. You didn't lose your equipment, you did not lose your equipment, it just got out of tune. That's all it is. And God is saying the same thing that I spoke to Paul to encourage the Galatian church. It's the same thing I've said to the church now. Be not weary and well doing, you're doing a good thing, even when you don't see the results, you're doing, you are, you are doing a wonder, wonderful work. You're you're doing what God has called you doing. God said, I've given you a Nehemiah spirit, and through your faith, through faith, I have given you a Nehemiah spirit. Stay up on the wall, do not come down. Have the faith to stand on the wall. Even when people try to waver your job's wife tried to waver him, and he said, Listen, woman, you sound crazy. You don't even sound like my wife. Because yet it's still I'm sick. Yet it's still I'm weary, I'm worn, my I'm physically sick, spiritually sick, and yet it's still am I giving up on God. Though you slay me, yet will I trust you. So we have to put ourselves in a place that we are talking to God more and more and more, even when we don't understand why we are saying or we don't understand the words that are uttering out of our mouths, but we are talking to him more. And then once we talk to him, prayer, we have to remember, in order to uh uh uh uh to continue to be strong in what it is that we do concerning our faith, we have to have a prayer life. And prayer is not a one-sided conversation. So you can't say I pray for an hour and you talk to God the whole time, you vented for an hour, you didn't pray because prayer is a conversation that means it's between you and God. So if I plan on praying for an hour, 30 minutes I need to pray, 30 minutes I need to be quiet and listen to what God got to say back to me. He heard me for 30 minutes, now I gotta hear him for 30 minutes. Now I need to hear him, amen. It don't take him 30 minutes to speak. You can you can pray for nine, you can pray for uh 55 minutes, the next five minutes of that hour. God said, I'll answer everything and do it. I won't just answer you, but I'll I'll I'll do it right before your eyes. So if I could say anything to someone uh concerning this, I would say seriously, what he spoke to the church then, he is speaking now. We are in a time where people are getting weary, doing the right thing, and they're changing up, they're changing up uh uh uh how they are, they're changing up uh what they stand for, they're changing up uh uh on trusting God themselves. They're going to other gods, they're going to other things and other religions beyond Christianity, and they tell you that we don't have to do these things. Be not weary, church, in well doing. Be not weary because if he was speaking to the Galatian church, then he's speaking to the church now. So don't let nobody tell you the church is not important. Don't lose your faith. Keep showing up, don't lose your faith, keep going, don't lose your faith, keep going. Just find out how do I retone it. How do I retone it? I'm gonna give you something real brief. On a guitar. If you go to your second friend, your second friend has to dodge on it. You can if you get that one, that first string tune, you can tune the rest of your bass without having to tune it. So on a six string, your last string will be a C. On a four string, your last string will be a uh G. And on a five string, it will be a G. What happens is, if you get that, all you have to do is hit that string. The next string above that, you hit that. And it's supposed to be the same tune as that string. And so you can tune it from there just off that one string. What do you say? I might have lost my faith in my marriage, I might have lost my faith in my finances, I might have, but if I could just get one back in tune, I'll tune the rest of them. If I could just get my marriage back in tune, if I could just get my finances back in tune, if I could just get my belief in God back in tune, everything else will line up. Everything else will line up. So if you could just get one, if I can give you, if I can just one, I will say your faith in God. Seek ye first the kingdom of heaven. If you can get that one first, all of the other things will be added unto you. It'll fall right in place. It'll fall right in place, okay? Alright, so God bless you. I hope I help someone on today. I hope I bless you. You don't want to lose because you're not seeing immediate results. But if you realize who holds the results and where the results are coming from, you know that the results are coming in. When we want to find out who our father is on the Mari show, if I can use that, what do we do? We put we we take a blood test, my God. And they're gonna let you know. They said the results are in. The results are in. Okay? God hold your results. Your results, God, trust me, if you don't see it now, just know that God has the results and they are in. You just haven't got them yet. It does not, when they tell them you are the father, just because they just now telling him that did not make a difference that he was the father. He just hadn't found out yet. The results was in, they just ain't found out yet. Please do not think, because you ain't found out yet, you ain't seen it yet, that the results that you're looking for is not in. Because they are. God bless you.

SPEAKER_01

Amen. Amen. That part right there. Just I think that if we get truly get an understanding that, like you said, who holds our next. The same who holds our now, that is vitally important. I think we lose focus, and that gets out of our uh mindset of who holds our next. I'm not worried about what I can physically see right now, what I'm enduring right now. Yes, I'm I'm under the pressure, yes, I'm tired. But that shouldn't deter me because I know for a fact who holds my neck.

SPEAKER_00

Absolutely.

SPEAKER_01

All good things come from the Lord. All not some, not most, but all. And then when you said if that that that oh fine-tuning, if I can just get one thing back in alignment, my faith in the Lord back in alignment, everything else will fall into place. That was powerful.

SPEAKER_00

Amen.

SPEAKER_01

That was powerful, amen. Amen. So um this week, like we something that I added for season two, and I love it, I love it, is a faith challenge for the week. So this week's faith challenge is to be intentional about the fourth commandment. We kind of didn't touch on that, but just briefly, the fourth commandment says, remember the Sabbath and keep it holy. And we know that the Sabbath is that time where we take rest. We know God created the heavens and the earth in six days, and on that seventh day he rested. Um, and this is just my passion and my belief. I believe some of the weariness and the tiredness we have, and there's nothing wrong with going, going, going, but we're forgetting that fourth commandment to remember the Sabbath and keep it holy. There is supposed to be that time of rest. And in that time, when you are rested, I want you to take a moment and recognize the struggles that have shaped your faith into maturity. Because it's when I this is my again, personal opinion. I've found that it's during those hard times when I held on, I kept holding on to faith, I kept my focus, no matter how many how many hard times, but it's in those times that after glory, hallelujah, on the other side, I can see that the growth in my faith. So I want you to do that over this week. Find a day, find time to rest. And in that rest, take a moment. And just look back over your life to those past struggles or challenges that you have and see how it shaped your faith and how you were it matured and growed after you got through that struggle. So that's what our faith challenges for uh this week is to remember the Sabbath, keep it holy, and then take a moment and look back over your struggles that shaped your faith and see how you grew in that um in your faith and in your walk with Christ. So, Pastor, I'm going to give you this. Um, so just who who may not know, Pastor Prater. Um it, you can, and I will give him a space and opportunity to uh to get for him to let us know how we can support him, but something that he does often, and and I love it in just what was it last week or week before last, you did the Who Wants to Give Your Life Uh to Christ faith challenge, our challenge. Um, and that's something that he posts on Facebook regularly. I would I wouldn't dare to say three, four, five times a week, who wants to give your life to Christ. So, Pastor, I'm gonna open up this time for you to do our virtual altar call.

SPEAKER_00

Amen. Amen. So, who wants to give their life to Christ? This is the time where you can say, Hey, listen, um, I I heard what you all talked about, and I know to live for God, it takes faith. I don't even know what I'm doing, but today is the day that I want to step out on faith so that I can get in faith. This is your time now that you want to say, Hey, God, it's me. I don't know. The best time to give our life to Christ is when we don't know what to do, not when we think that we're ready. The best time to give our life to Christ is when we are sick, not when we are healed. The best time to go to the hospital is when something is wrong with us. So if that's you, let us know on here. Please leave a comment. Let us know that it's me. I want to give my life to Christ. If you want to rededicate your life to Christ, for he said, I am married to the backsliders. This is not a time of embarrassment for people to look at you and say, Oh my god, you left God. No, this is a time of embracement. Embrace the grace, embrace the mercy that God has given us to come back to him. For he's married to the backsliders. He's married to the backsliders simply because he never broken his vows when we gave our life to him. We broke the vows. He stayed married to us. We divorced him. But this is your time to embrace the grace. Embrace the grace that was sent, that was, that was given to you, that was left here for you. Amen. Embrace the grace. So if you want to give your life to Christ, or if you want to rededicate your life to Christ, please, please leave a comment. Leave a comment. If you need a church home, you let let us know on there. Amen. We will pray that God will send you to where you need to be. God will send you to where you need to be. And we welcome you to Liberty if you want to come. We welcome you to Liberty, Christian Church of the Apostolic Faith here in Alton. But we want to tell you, most importantly, God is the author and the finisher of our faith. He's the Alpha and the Omega, He's the beginning and the end. He will never leave us nor forsake us, He will always be there. Just step out on faith and give your life to Him. Watch Him change. I'm an ex-alcoholic, trust me. Watch Him change your life. God bless you.

SPEAKER_01

Amen. If you want to go ahead and do our closing prayer, amen.

SPEAKER_00

Amen. We want to say thank you, Evangelist Anderson. Thank you for allowing us to share this moment with you on your platform. On your platform, keep going. Be not weary because you're doing well. Heavenly Father, Lord, we first ask you to forgive us for anything that we have said, done, or thought that was not like you. Lord, as we leave from this platform, but never from your presence, Lord, we hope that something was said that would draw someone to you to say, Listen, it's me. I need God. My faith has gotten weary. My faith has gotten shaken. I've gotten out of tune, and I thought that because I was out of tune and I needed to get rid of the equipment. Lord, we're asking you, oh God, to show them, oh God, who you are. Show them, oh God, that you can get them back in tune with you, oh God. Show them that you can get them back in alignment with you, oh God. Lord, we're asking you to touch our evangelists right now, Evangelist Tamara Anderson. Lord, we're asking you, oh God, to increase our podcast, oh God. Lord, let it, oh God, grow like never before. We appreciate you right now, oh God. We're giving you thanks, oh God, for the results of this podcast. We have not seen it yet, but you hold the results. We know they are in. In the mighty name of Jesus, we thank you. We give you all the glory and all the honor in Jesus' name. We pray. Amen and amen.

SPEAKER_01

Amen, amen, and amen. So how Pastor Jimmy Prather, how can we support you?

Thank you for traveling with me today on Faith Finder. Every mile we take together strengthens our faith, sharpens our vision, and reminds us that God is guiding the road beneath our feet. If this episode encourages you, make sure to follow the podcast, leave a review, and share with someone who's on their own faith journey.
