Maintaining Peace as You Grow

Welcome back to Rooster Restoration, Faith, Family, and Healing with Marie. In the last episode, we talked about discernment and learning to trust what God has shown you as you continue to grow. But today we are stepping into something just as important. Because growth is one thing, but maintaining it is another. Isaiah twenty six verse three says, You will keep in perfect peace those whose mind are steadfast because they trust in you. Many people experience growth but struggle to maintain it. They heal, they gain clarity, they begin to change, but then life happens. Old patterns try to return, old thoughts resurface, old environments pull at them, and suddenly they feel like they're slipping back. Sometimes maintaining growth feels harder than reaching it. Because now you're aware. You notice when something feels off. You recognize when your peace is disturbed. You feel the difference. And that awareness can feel overwhelming because you're no longer comfortable with what you used to tolerate. Maintaining your peace looks like being intentional with your time, being mindful of your environment, being aware of what you allow into your space. It looks like choosing rest when you feel overwhelmed, stepping back when something feels misaligned, and not forcing yourself to stay in situations that disrupt your peace. Growth is not just about change, it's about consistency, it's about choosing differently over and over again, even when it's inconvenient, even when it's uncomfortable, because the version of you that is becoming whole does not move the same way anymore. Peace is not something you chase, it's something God gives when you stay aligned with Him through prayer, through stillness, through trust. And when you begin to feel unsettled, that's not always something to ignore. Sometimes it's a signal, a reminder to pause, to reflect, to realign. You don't have to go back, you don't have to return to what you've outgrown. You've come too far to move backwards. And even if you feel like you've taken a step back, remember this: growth is not erased, it's still in you. Ask yourself what helps me stay grounded, and then ask, what tends to pull me out of that place? And finally, what can I do to protect my peace moving forward? Staying grounded is a daily choice. It's not something you do once and never revisit. It's something you practice, something you protect, something you grow into. And as you continue this journey, remember you are not who you were. You are growing, you are changing, you are becoming whole. Let us close with a prayer. Heavenly Father, help us to remain grounded even as we grow. Give us the wisdom to protect our peace and the strength to stay aligned with you. Guide our thoughts, our decisions, and our steps in Jesus' name. Amen. Thank you for joining me on Roots to Restoration, Faith, Family, and Healing with Marie. Be blessed and continue growing in faith, healing, and restoration one season at a time.
