What do you do when you can't see? Stay tuned to my conversation with my guest, Elizabeth Susan Vista-Suarez, Ph.D. who shares her experiences of not being able to see and what helped her through that period of darkness. Susan or Tutti as I fondly call her has an extensive Curriculum Vitae. She is a full professor for the College of Performing and Visual Arts in the internationally distinguished, Silliman University in Dumaguete City, Philippines. She is the founder of "Ating Pamana" (Our Heritage)--a performing group composed of a choir and rondalla. Aside from teaching, she is a speaker, conductor, pianist, accompanist, choral trainer, artistic director, curriculum developer, a visual artist, solo performer, and author. Her works include a children's picture book, "Julia and the Music of the Light," "Susan's Symphony" (a painting), "Practice Before Theory: An Alternative Approach to Piano Pedagogy" and several other published works.
