Through seasons of caregiving, uncertainty, and long stretches of waiting, I began to see that trust is not proven in quick answers, but in steady surrender. In this episode, we reflect on how God strengthens us in the pause and invites us to trust Him more deeply.
What you’ll hear in this week’s episode
•How pauses and waiting can test our trust in God.
•How waiting draws us closer to God.
Verse of the Week
"But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint." Isaiah 40:31 (ESV)

Waiting stretches us delays, challenges, and silence can test what we truly believe about God. In this episode, we explore how the pause refines our trust, not by removing uncertainty, but by deepening our reliance on God's character. Trust grows not in movement. But in surrender. Welcome to Digging Deep for Treasures podcast. This is Cecile Valoria, a Christian author. And a retired teacher. This podcast is to encourage women to grow in their faith and harness the power of the Holy Spirit as we unearth scriptural truths so that we can live a peace filled life in our fear prone world. So now sit back, relax, and lets dig deep for treasures in his word. Like pulling a rubber band waiting stretches us. Delays challenge us, and silence can test what we truly believe about God. Waiting on the Lord is not passive. Quiet endurance often expresses itself. I took care of my brother remotely for two years. I answered calls at two in the morning and unexpected moments throughout the day. Whether I was at home or away with family. Every Saturday for six months before I began caring for my dad full time, my husband and I drove a six hour round trip just to be with my brother. I made myself available for doctor's calls. For procedures, for decisions that needed to be made. I lived in a constant state of readiness. From the very beginning, my brother's condition was serious. The future felt uncertain and waiting had become part of my daily life. Waiting for updates, waiting for improvement, waiting for strength, I didn't always feel I had. It was in that season that I understood what it truly means to wait on the Lord. It wasn't easy. Waiting rarely is. We tap our fingers while waiting for the light to turn green. We mutter under our breath when the grocery line is too long. We interrupt others sentences when they take too long to say what they mean. Waiting positions us in the space between what is and what will be. And that space can feel long and uncertain. But in my waiting, I noticed God's constant presence. He encouraged me, He comforted me. He reminded me I was not carrying this alone. Isaiah 40 31 tells us,"but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles. They shall run and not be weary. They shall walk and not faint." In my struggle, He strengthened me. In my uncertainty, He gave me peace. He reassured me that even when I did not know what was ahead he did and he was already there. If you are in a season of waiting right now, waiting for clarity. Waiting for healing, waiting for answers. Bring that waiting to him. Trust his timing. Trust his presence because the same God who calls you to wait is the one who renews your strength. Until next time, keep digging deep and remember, God's truth is always waiting to be uncovered. Thank you for joining me today on this episode of Digging Deep for Treasures.
