It's last weekend before school goes back in. All right. So I figured we would do a something a little bit different with this episode. Um I posted a Ask Us Anything on Instagram so that our listeners could, you know, ask us some questions that they wanted to know a little bit more about. So I have a list of questions here that people submitted and we'll take turns answering them. How's that sound? Amazing. Perfect. Okay. Um, so I'll ask the question, I'll let you answer, and then I'll answer. Okay. Okay. This one's for both of us. What is something about each other that drives you crazy? How be honest. Like we have to be, I want you to be brutally honest because I'm gonna be brutally honest too.

Okay, so first, how when I like borrow your stuff without asking, you get so mad. But you always take my like stuff without asking. Like it's not just me, girl.

Okay, well, my other one is that I can't even stay out past like 10 because you're like, oh well, you'll have to go to sleep. But we literally have a camera for a reason.

Yeah, but I don't not let you stay out late because like 10 o'clock is a pretty good curfew for you. And I was thinking like 10.30. Okay, but I have to get up at four o'clock in the morning and I'm not gonna be able to sleep until I know that you're home safe. So I can't say, yeah, stay until 10.30, I'll just go to sleep because I know damn well that when I my head hits that pillow, I'm not gonna be able to fall asleep until I know that you're home safely. Because what if I were to go to sleep and then something happened to you? But you always think bat worst case scenario. Like I have to think worst case scenario. Like, no, you don't.

Yeah, I know that. One thing, one more thing that drives me crazy is that you're so stubborn. How am I stubborn? Because because I know you know how to do things, but you just won't do them. Like, or you'll just avoid it. Like what? Like making food. You'll be like, make me something to eat. I'm hungry. Can you make me a grilled cheese? And I'll be like, you know how to make a grilled cheese. I'll be like, Mama, I'm so hungry, and I'll be like, throw chicken fingers in the air fryer. No, I'll just make a peanut butter sandwich. Like so stubborn. This one's for both of us, too. What is your favorite memory together that you both always laugh about? I feel like that part at the end that you both always laugh about, that part is what makes it hard for me to pick something. But one of my favorite memories of us is when I took you to Shindig and I just seen how much fun you were having and like just watching you experience watching you experience a concert like that for your first time.

I love like playing music. As soon as Abby gets in the car, she's like, Can I play a song? That's the first thing she says before she even puts her seatbelt on.

Because I just feel like it's like the right thing to do when you get in the car because I have like the best music taste. But anyway, so after the So after the photo shoot, I was like, Okay, can I play a song? And then I we would just kept singing, like we were just going back and forth, and then we like went um to the look like to the look off, and I was like, Can we go downtown or whatever? And like we just drove around like kind of downtown and we just sang. And we were out for like two hours.

Yeah, what songs were we singing? Like, tell them like the songs that we jammed to while we're out.

And Chris Brown. Chris Brown, yeah. Abby loves Chris Brown because of me. Yeah, we have really good times when we're driving around with the windows down, jamming. Yeah, we need to do that. Yeah, we should do that again. Like today. Why does that memory stand out for you? This is just a follow-up question. Why does that memory stand out to you?

Because it was so fun. Because like we'll both just be like, okay, next, next, like we both just always have a song that we want to play next. And she gets so mad at me when I like, I'm like, okay, no, just let me play my song one more like one more time. And then you're like, no, let me play this song.

Like, well, because I'm like, we should take turns picking a good song that and Abby, like, I'll always play a song that Abby likes to hear, and she'll know all the words and stuff, and then she'll put on this like new generation rap song that I have no idea what it is. And I'm like, when's she gone? When's she gone? But yeah, no, I do love our drives um when we sing and stuff. Anyways, okay. This next question is for you specifically. Oh god, I'm scared. Abby, what is one rule that you think is unfair?

Probably like I can't have more than two friends over or more than one friend over for a sleepover.

Well, that's because Katie and I both work like really strange hours, and I'm always working on the weekend, I always have to be up, and we live in an apartment, so there's not a lot of space, and your room is right on the other side of my walls, and you and your friends are freaking loud at night. So I think one friend sleeping over at a time is fair.

There's definitely more, I just can't think of any. Well, start thinking. Okay, wait.

Um You always say that I'm strict, so like elaborate on that.

Because, bro, like when I get grounded, you just take my phone, but like it's I don't even take your phone anymore. I stopped taking your phone because I know that that doesn't work.

Yeah, phone curve for you. Because it I don't like when you stay up until two in the morning on your phone. I don't stay up till two in the morning.

Sometimes you do. Okay, yeah, sometimes, but it's like I would see if it's a problem if I was sleeping in and like not going to first period like I used to do in grade nine. Remember that when I would just like not go to first period half the time? No, I don't remember that. Yes, you do, because you would text me and be like, Abby, like, what are you doing? Like, why are you late for school? Yeah, and it was because I would sleep in, but like now I still get up, like I literally get up at like seven every morning. So it's like I see if it was a problem if I was staying up to like two and then not getting up, but if I'm still getting up and getting ready for school and being on time, then I know, but it's not good for your body to not get a good sleep.

Like you know, but that's only sometimes like I do actually like you need to get a solid at least like seven to eight hours of sleep a night so that your body can go into REM sleep and then you get that rest. Like your your body grows while you're sleeping and like it heals and stuff like that while you're sleeping. So sleep is very important. And sometimes you might be a little bit cranky or irritated during the day, and it's probably because even if you don't feel like you're tired, your body is probably tired because you're not on a good sleep schedule. You know, you feel me? I guess. Okay, so if you could change one thing about my rules, what would it be? Um These are just follow-up questions.

I can stay out later than 10. At least on weekends, like 10:30. That would be reasonable. And like 11 in the summer.

You're pushing it. I don't think. I'm curious, like what other parents give their kids for curfew?

Half my friends don't have a curfew. Half my friends' moms just be like, yeah, you can go to however long, just text me. Yeah, that's crazy. That is crazy. I'm sorry. That's wild. Obviously, not till like 12 or like any later, but like they'll be like, just stay until however and then text me. But my friends don't be staying out till like 12. They'd like at least go home at like 11.

Yeah, that's fair. I wouldn't mind if you were like at the movies or if you were like at a friend's house and you were like, Can you pick me up? If the thing is, it's like I said, I when I work early in the morning, it's or if Katie works, like when Katie does her snow removal. Yeah, she was up at 2 o'clock this morning, left at 2 30, and she was back before I even woke up this morning. So it's just when there's like our schedules are like wonky, it's hard to be like, yeah, I'll pick you up at 11 30 because then I'm my alarm set. Like when you called me the other night at midnight because you had really bad cramps and you wanted me to pick you up, I had my alarm set for 4 a.m. because I had to be at this radio station for five o'clock in the morning. And I was like, there's no way I can come get you right now. Like, yeah. Okay, this one is for you too. Wow, Miss Popular. What can I say? Abby, hang on, let me hold these papers up over here. Abby, if you could design the perfect day for yourself, what would it look like? It would be me and Started from like the morning, like when you wake up in the morning, like the perfect day from the morning till the Okay.

Wake up in the morning, Maddie's right beside me, right? And then and then at the sun, like it's hot. It's so hot out, like 30 degrees. The UV's like 10. And me and Maddie, we get up, we get ready, we go to the beach, we tan, and then we go back home, shower, then we get all ready, we get cute, and then we go out and we go out with our friends and we f it up and play that back one more time.

Maybe like you get up, you know, you're with Katie, whatever, and then you get a Red Bull. You go for a drive, or you go to the gym first, actually. You go to the gym, you work out, you come home, shower, you get all ready, do your makeup, you have another Red Bull. And then, you know, you eat some food, because bro, like without your food, I don't think you'd be happy during the day, bro. No, I'd like to eat. Yeah. What food would I be eating?

It's low-key different every day. Bulldak. Bulldak? Yeah. Low-key, I do love my Bulldak, but it's so hard for me to eat it halfway through the day because as soon as I eat Bulldog, I am ready for a nap. Like so ready for a nap. Okay, and then what?

And Katie's like on her phone, like, and you're just like all into with all your snacks, and you're just like, yes, you're like yelling at the TV, and you're like, you f or just

just like a perfect day, normal day, but like if I were to pick like any to do anything and like money and time wasn't an issue, I would have the weekend off. It would be Friday night. I well, I guess this is like more of like a weekend excursion, but I'm just gonna like start it from the Friday night so that you can kind of paint the picture. So Friday night, Katie and I and you go to an Airbnb somewhere on the South Shore. And like her with the Airbnb spur, like I'm telling you. We wake up at like a good time. It's on the ocean. We look outside, there's a beautiful view out the window. All three of us go for brunch, we have breakfast, and then we go explore a town that we've never been in before. Go to like a thrift store there. If there's like a museum with like any type of history, we go there.

I would love that, but it's just like, bro, like you guys wake up at like the freaking ass crack of dawn. Like, I'm not even joking. Like, before the sun's even up, y'all are up, and I'm like, just I can't do that. That's so fair. Well, if you went to bed before two o'clock in the morning. Okay, listen, I'm not old. I'm not an old person. Like, you know, this girl thinks that seven is late. Like, I'll be like, oh, I'm gonna go out at like seven, you'll be like, but it's literally nighttime. Listen, it is to me, if it's dark outside, it's freaking late. Okay, so what are you gonna do in summer when the sun goes down at literally 9 30? I know me and L were literally just talking about this the other day. She was like, What are you gonna do when it's like light out until 9 30 and you have to work early and you can't go to bed at like 8 o'clock? And I was like, I don't know. Yeah, like I hope you know I'm gonna be outside all summer. I can't wait.

Okay, it says, Jess, do you ever worry about your relationship changing as Abby gets older? No, I think it will get better. I do worry about it. I think so. What I worry about is I worry that you're not gonna want to spend as much time with me whenever you do move out. I worry that I am gonna be like a helicopter mom still, and you're gonna be like, mom, I'm like a grown woman now. You need to Yeah, like, well, I'll I'm still gonna share my location with you. I know, but I'm just worried that like we just won't be as close because you'll be always doing other things, which is fair. That happens. Like when I go to the club, you're gonna be in the club with me. I'm dead. Can you listen? You can pay me to go to the club right now. However, I am like just new in my sobriety. I think once I get Well, you don't have to just get a Red Bull when you're good. Yeah. It's just like picturing me in the club with all these young Oh, that stresses me out. But you could literally Yeah. And then it says, What scares you about it? And I just worry that I worry so much about you being safe and like making right choices that I'm gonna be like always asking you stuff and you're gonna get annoyed with me. I'm gonna be blowing you up and getting on your nerves, or like you're gonna do something that I'm not gonna like and it's gonna frustrate me, and then or like you're gonna date a guy that I'm not gonna like, and I'm gonna be like, Abby, he's not good enough for you, and then you're gonna be like too bad. Well, yeah. I know, but all those little things can eventually cause distance between us, you know, and eventually you're gonna move out, and I don't like the thought of you moving out, but that makes me sad. And then the follow-up question is, Abby, do you think it will change?

Well, obviously, some things are gonna change, but not everything. Because like I'm still gonna like make you come out with me and my friends.

Like that is my goal. I am. I don't like thinking about you being in the big city. And if I don't become a psychologist, I'm gonna be a writer. That's my backup. That's a good goal. Because that's I'm really good at writing. You are really good at writing.

Hopefully in New York, writing or being a psychologist, or with Maddie again. And what about me?

Well, maybe I'll move to New York with you. Yeah, I'm moving into New York. Maybe this podcast will take off and turn into something, and we can both move to New York and pursue amazing careers. I just want to live in New York so bad, man. Um, so for me, in five years from now, I see myself hopefully doing social media more permanently, and I'm hoping by then I have like a more full-time job on the radio. That way I don't have to work 35 jobs because right now I feel like I have so many jobs, and then I'm doing my social media on the side. So realistically, five years from now, I would like to just be doing, I still want to be doing this podcast. I'm hoping that this podcast takes us places where we can continue to do this for a while. And yeah, hopefully I have like a full-time radio job by then. I think you will. And 10 years from now, I will be gosh, I'll be 42. That's odd. Bro, get a load of this one. Am I right? So by 42, I want to be like in my own home, be well established.

I'm still doing the social media and stuff. Like, I that is my passion, and that's what I love doing. I love doing this podcast with you. I love being on the radio. I love creating content for myself and other people. And if I can be in some sort of like media space, whether it's radio or like film and video production of some sort, like that would be so cool if I could get like some sort of behind the scenes for like a TV or movie or something like that. Yeah, that would be super fun.

I hope literally exactly everything you just said. Like, yeah, you have more of a full-time job on the radio, you're doing social media like more full-time. Yeah. You could even be a producer. Like, I think that would be sick.

I think you can be good at that. I think so too. I would love that. And same with me with you. I hope that you are able to follow your dreams and go to and you know, maybe even become a writer one day. Because you could write your own, like you could write a book on the side while you're doing your psychology, right? Like that's a thing you can do as like a hobby. Another follow-up question to that one. If the things that I said that I want for myself, if those happened, would that make you proud? Yes, obviously. Yeah. I think I would be proud of you too. What kind of question? Okay, so those are all the questions that people have asked us. And I think this was really fun. There's also two little segments that I'm gonna throw into each episode. I've heard these on other people's podcasts, and also when I was doing a little bit of like podcast research, I came across these segments that are good to do and they're fun. So moving forward at the end of every episode, we're gonna do these little things where we're gonna call it the sleigh and the struggle of the week. So the sleigh of the week would be like something good that happened. Wow. The struggle of the week is like something that you're like, that was not fun or not good. What was your sleigh of the week? No, let's start with struggle. What was your struggle of the week?

Probably, probably not seeing Maddie as much as I normally would. I thought you were gonna say starting period. I was gonna say that, but that was just like two days ago. So not really. But like, yeah, not seeing Maddie. We only spend like two nights with each other. Only that's actually insane. No, like that's actually insane.

Okay, what was your sleigh of the week, your favorite part of the last week? Probably going downtown. Yeah. That was fun. Yeah, yeah. What'd you guys do? You went to McDonald's.

My first sleigh of the week is that I have been feeling a lot more confident on the radio the last like week and a half. Re-oclock it. Because I've been getting like coaching. And another one is um that Taylor Frankie Paul reposted my TikTok. Oh, yeah, that was so fire. Of the Mormon Wives show. That's probably my other week. Yeah. You're doing it. I'm gonna ask you like hot or not. Okay. And you're gonna say Bro, what the hell are these names? They're just fun. They're whatever. It is what it is. Okay. So, hot or not questions of the week. Matching Ofits with your friends andor partner. Hot or not. Hot? Are you actually serious? Me and Maddie thrive to match. Okay, perfect. I like I I would say hot too. Um, being friends with your ex, hot or not. Okay.
