He just kicks ass when it comes to these thriller, fun, ride type of films. And I highly, highly recommend you see this movie in the theater. It did remind me a little bit of Sam Raimi's past movie, Drag Me to Hell, which I don't know if anyone has seen that or not. If you have, you know exactly what I'm talking about.

Office Politics And Character Dynamics

But this movie here basically it takes place on a deserted island. These individuals are on a plane, they work for this company, and Rachel McAdams plays a character who honestly I thought she'd be a little more likable in the beginning of the film because this woman is the grossest, worst person that you could ever think to work with at a place of business. She keeps tuna fish in her desk, she looks like a constant mess all the time, her hair's everywhere, she dresses like she's 97 years old, she tries to insert herself into people's conversations. She is basically the worst type of employee that you would want to work with in a work environment ever. But that doesn't give people the right to treat her the way that they treat her. She apparently has been working at this company for a very, very long time and she's in line for promotion. Dylan O'Brien plays the son of the owner of this company who passes away. So Dylan O'Brien takes the company over and he has his own plans. Now, this company is a massively loaded

Fortune 500 Stakes And Power Shift

company. It is a huge, like Fortune 500 company that Dylan O'Brien, this young guy, comes in and he starts to kind of take over and do things his way. Dylan O'Brien's father wanted to give a promotion to Rachel McAdams' character. And Dylan O'Brien at the beginning of the film does not want to do that. So you start to feel, obviously, for Rachel McAdams and her character because she, like anybody else in this world, has worked hard. She does work hard in this movie. Uh they rely on her to get a lot of things done for this company. One of the things is to put up these reports or create these reports for this company. And this this guy who may be a little bit higher up than her in the business goes to her, looks to her to create these reports, and he basically just says that he does it. You know, he goes into these meetings, he takes her reports, and he says, Hey, you know what? I put these reports together, makes himself look good, total douchebag move. I mean, you could tell he is as soon as he walks on the screen, and you can tell that Dylan O'Brien is as as well. I mean, he's this rich, uppity, probably never had a problem with any type of finances or issues in his life, type of individual is who Dylan O'Brien's character is too. And his best friend works at the company, whom is the individual who takes, you could say, advantage of Rachel McAdams' character by having her do those reports and him kind of taking all of the credit for them. So you do feel for Rachel McAdams in in this movie in the beginning. And there are scenes in this movie where I turn to my wife and I said, I I I don't want to root for this woman. She's disgusting. Like, doesn't give anybody the right to treat her the way that they are treating her, but it kind of reminded me of like Marty Supreme in that way, where I wanted to root for the character who was getting cut off at the knees, you know. Now this does come full circle. It was not like Marty Supreme in the way that I wanted to root for the character and I couldn't, because come the time when they are on the island and they're kind of having to deal with a Lord of the Flies situation, which is another film. If you guys have not seen, it's a film about a bunch of kids whose plane crashes into the ocean and they survive. Some of the kids survive, they have to go onto this island and basically survive. And they fight each other, they there's a hierarchy problem, they can't get along, they actually get to a point where they start to kill each other. That's what happens when survival is a part of what's going on in the film. So in this movie, they want Rachel McAdams to come with them on a trip to China or Japan or some other shit, which is

The Flight, The Storm, The Crash

pretty irrelevant, but they got to fly over the ocean. Over this ocean, there is a storm that's going on and it takes their plane out. Now, I will say this this plane crash in this movie injects fear straight into your veins. There are a couple movies out there that give you a solid, solid plane crash scene. This is one of them, and it is wild. There are fewer worse ways to go than having your plane crash, let alone crash in the ocean. That is just fear times a million. And this movie, like I said, it injects that fear straight into your veins, and it happens pretty quick, so you get the tone, it sets that tone in the movie of what is going to go on. Sam Raimi kills this film from a directing standpoint. Dylan O'Brien and Rachel McGadams are the perfect combo in this movie together. They they play off each other extremely well. I am a huge Dylan O'Brien fan, loved him since the the first Maze Runner movie, which if you haven't seen the Maze Runner, check it out. The first Maze Runner movie is is awesome, awesome. The other ones, they were okay. But the first one, man, that that is a great young adult novel that was turned into a fantastic

Washed Ashore And Clashing Egos

film. Back to Send Help. So the plane crashes, and it is a hell of a scene. They they wash up on shore, and as you can imagine, Rachel McAdams and Dylan O'Brien, they do not get along at all because she was going to be getting passed up on for this vice president role at the company that she was at. So she already feels that Dylan O'Brien is a piece of shit, which to be honest with you, you get that right away from the way Dylan O'Brien acts, the way he treats people. You can tell he is a spoiled brat, is exactly what he is. He's a bit injured in this plane crash, which you would expect from the type of crash that occurred. Everybody else on the plane is gone. They died. There's only Rachel McGadham's and Dylan O'Brien's character washed up on shore together. Now, this movie gets to the point really quick, but it is also very, very funny.

Survivor Obsession Becomes Real Survival

There is a ton of comedy in this movie. Rachel McAdams' character is one of the weirdest women you will ever meet. She is a survivor, how do you say the show survivor? She is addicted to it. She has these videos online about how she wants to be on the show. She is a very smart, smart woman. Not necessarily the greatest with individuals or people, super, super awkward, but in the situation that she's put in in this movie, she she thrives because she has wanted to be on Survivor her whole life. So she gets to basically act out in real life what she's wanted to do in Survivor on the show this whole time while she's putting in all these audition tapes. It actually happens to her in real life. And she gets to thrive in an environment that she has kind of wanted to be in. I'm sure she didn't want the plane crash to happen, but from what you gather from her character, she's always wanted to be like a part of the Survivor show and be on an island and have to survive off of whether it's the plants or hunting, building your own shelter. So she is doing all of this while Dylan O'Brien is kind of healing up because he's beat up, he's got a huge leg issue. She actually takes care of him. You start to see the relationship that can happen when two people are stranded on an island, and that is where their chemistry comes into play as well.

Blood, Boar, Rat: Raimi-Style Thrills

Now, it doesn't go the way you would think. These two don't necessarily get along at all. However, they do start to form a relationship throughout the movie. There are a couple scenes that will just make your jaw hit the ground. There's one scene with a boar that is badass. Awesome scene. Reminded me of many scenes in Sam Raimi's movies. It's a graphic film. There's lots of blood, but it's not like gore blood on human type stuff. That's not what this movie is. This is not a horror movie. They're not necessarily killing a bunch of people or doing anything like that. It's a survival thriller, is the way that I would put it. There is also a scene with a rat that you have to see to believe. There is a scene with a rat in this movie that will make your eyes wide when you are watching it. And that's what I go to the movies for, man. This movie was a plus and more. The action, the comedy, the chemistry, the script, the directing, everything about this film was a plus. And it's hard to get people to go to the theater these days, uh, especially in January and February. Usually

Theater Verdict And Release Timing

January and February are months where the film industry, they really don't give a shit about the movies. It's kind of like a movie, the movie months where they just kind of put out the garbage. And this year, for January and even February, there are multiple movies coming out in the month of February that I will be going to see in the theater, which is a rare, rare thing. Like I said, these months of January and February, they're usually just made for the scraps that studios have. And they they kind of need to find a release date for these movies. But for for 2026, actually, the whole year of 2026 is looking so much more promising than anything we got in 2025. But I highly, highly recommend going to see the movie Send Help because it is everything an individual could want in the film. Uh, usually when I'm going to the movies, there are times when my wife might not want to go see the movie that I want to go see. Thankfully, she's super receptive. She goes, she sits next to me. She may not enjoy it nearly as much as I do, but she goes. She loved this movie. This, if I could get a top 10 movies from my wife at the end of the year, I guarantee you, no matter what comes out for the rest of the year, this would be in her top three, most likely. She had a ton of fun in the theater. I had a ton of fun in the theater, everyone had a ton of fun in the theater, lots of laughs, lots of gasps. It was everything you want in a theater movie. I'm actually kind of disappointed that it came out in the month of January. I'll say slash February. I mean, it came out the last weekend in January, because even though the weather here, especially in the Midwest in areas, is bad and it's cold and it's the perfect time to go to the movie theater and see movies, people just don't go to the movie theater. Even though this movie had some pretty good marketing, it just didn't have the, in what my opinion is, the right marketing in order to get it out there for how good of a movie this really is. So if you get some time, if you can go to the theater, if you're looking for a movie to watch, highly, highly recommend send help, go see it. You will have a blast. occurred. We all saw what happened on last Friday when Michigan beat Michigan State at the Breslin. I personally did not see that coming at all. I thought for sure Michigan State would take care of business on their hardwood and Michigan would walk away with an L in that game. I was extremely, extremely surprised at how well Michigan came out, especially in that first half. Dusty May had that team ready to play. And on the other side, Tom Izzo just flat out did not have his team ready. I don't know what necessarily occurred on the side of Michigan State, but what I do know is when you play Michigan, they are going to make you change your game plan that you have in practice pretty much a hundred percent. Length, Shooting, And Depth Disparity

Michigan. Michigan has massive length, size. They shoot the ball incredibly well, multiple players. They have seven to nine players that can go out there and shoot the ball. And it's hard to guard a team, it's hard to beat a team that is that deep. Michigan State is not that deep. Michigan State has Jeremy Fears out there scoring now, which is about 25 to 35 points a game almost, which is legit. I mean, the kid is an absolute baller. I was hoping that he wouldn't do that to us, but he did. He scored a ton of points. But the thing is nobody else did. I mean, they couldn't hit a shot to save their lives. And of course, we have a lot of drama after this game regarding the coaches, regarding the players. One thing that cannot be brought up in this at all is the officiating. You are going in every single college basketball game, you are going to miss calls on both sides. Sometimes those calls are going to favor another team. However, in this game, Michigan State shot more free throws than Michigan did. They also missed more free throws. They also missed more three-pointers. They could not shoot at all in this game. Michigan's length was giving them massive problems. And if you're gonna be a Spartan fan and you're gonna say the length had nothing to do with it or that they were just missing shots, go put that shit in a dumpster somewhere. Okay? You guys lost because Michigan is a better team. You may not want to hear that, but they are the better basketball team this year. And I don't need Tom Izzo up on the podium whining and complaining about officiating when you just got your ass handed to you. Not only did you get your ass handed to you, especially in the first half, you actually came back. You came back and actually led in that game. You led in that game halfway through the second half and gave that lead up. And the reason you gave that lead up is because of Michigan's shooting. They have people who can hit their shots, okay? And Michigan State is relying solely on people like Jeremy Fierce to go out there and score. You have a couple other players that kind of contribute here and there, but you do not have the depth you need. I think Michigan kind of exposed that because before Michigan State played Michigan, I thought that they were going to be a very, very dangerous, deep into March type of team. I'm starting to kind of pull back from that. I don't want to necessarily say that that's the case right now, because yes, maybe what happened with Michigan is an anomaly. Maybe Michigan State, like I'll say it for the Spartan fans that are out there. Maybe what you guys are saying is true. Michigan had nothing to do with it. Nothing that Michigan did was the reason that Michigan State lost that game. Michigan State lost the game simply because they had a bad game, because they ran out of time, right? So I will

say there's a chance. Now they have a chance to redeem themselves against Illinois coming up here very soon. That is a huge, huge game. I want to say they have to play Minnesota first, so they kind of have a chance to have a get right game, which is nice to have. I mean, you sure as heck don't want to have to play kind of like what Michigan did, which was Nebraska and then Michigan State right after, which is crazy impressive to beat a team like Nebraska and then to go on the road and beat a team like Michigan State, two top 10 wins within four days for the University of Michigan. That is that is big leagues right there. That is preparation, that is being ready, that is flat out national championship basketball, is what that is. However, let me tell you, man, Michigan could be peaking at the wrong time. They were they were peaking earlier in the year, and then they could be peaking now, as as fans of of Michigan will tell you, they want to be peaking at the correct time. Right now, it's cool to be winning, but at the same time, you need to be winning at the end of February and going into March. That's when you need to be winning. Now, I also said this game did not mean much, and I'm sticking with it. Is it is it cool for the fans, like I said in the my last podcast, is it cool for the fans to be able to talk about, have some bragging rights, talk to their friends, rasm a little bit, be annoying, you know, all that bullshit. Foul-Baiting, Dirty Plays, And Receipts

did take a bit of a turn though, after the game was kind of dissected by other individuals, and they started to say that Jeremy Fierce was being a bit dirty in the game, and you can see in in multiple, multiple videos, he he was making some pretty shady plays. You don't want to be that type of individual when it comes to basketball. We all as college basketball fans, if you are one, remember Grayson Allen. The guy, he's in the pros right now, but the guy it was an absolute scumbag. Nobody liked him. You don't do not want to be on the same tier as Grayson Allen, and you're gonna have players who bait fouls. That that's basketball is all about the fouls. And Jeremy Fears is a pro at baiting the fouls. He he stops in front of players as he's running up to court, so they run into his back. However, I'll say Michigan had the had the same baiting foul when Will Cheddar shot up that three towards the end of the game and and jumped to his right as he was shooting that three-pointer, and he got the foul call. I don't agree with it one bit. To me, that's cheap, bullshit fouls. But it's foul baiting, it's a part of the game. There's nothing that's ever going to take it out of there. So even Jeremy Fears, the way that he plays, you better get used to it because the refs are gonna call those fouls most likely. However, there were times where Jeremy Fears made some plays that were a little bit sketchy. And when he kicked his foot out trying to trip Yaks, whom of which is is is injured? Yaks is still not 100%. He has a calf injury, and he clearly sticks his foot out running down the court and tries to trip Yaks, which just is is a it's a shady play. Then there's a scrum right above the three-point line with two Michigan players where he literally wraps his arm around the Michigan player's

leg and pulls it out from underneath him. So look, as Michigan and Michigan State fans go, you are never going to have each other agree about stuff. I did speak to a family member of mine who is a Michigan State grad. He is a basketball wizard, he knows the sport up and down, college and pro. And I needed to speak to him because I I needed a I needed an opinion from an individual who isn't necessarily on the same side as me. Being a Michigan fan here, I I try to separate myself from being any part of the arrogant Michigan fan aura that's out there. I I I want to be as straightforward, as honest as I can with my team that I root for or any of the other teams that are out there, whether they're rivals or not. So to have an opinion from an individual who is on the other side was important to me. I reached out to him after the game. I said, I am I'm reaching out to you, not not to take any jabs, because that's just not the way I am. I'm reaching out to you because your opinion is important to me. And he said, he said that flat out, Michigan didn't Michigan State didn't play well. You know, I mean they got their ass kicked in in the first half of the game. And when you bury yourself into a hole that deep, how are you supposed to dig yourself out of it? And he did say, you know, the the hook and hold penalty that happened, it it's kind of hard to dissect. People on Michigan State will say that it was was cheap bullshit, and the people on Michigan. Michigan will say it was the right call, but it was a big, big play and a big call because it was a five-point swing. You know, Michigan State was gonna have that ball. And instead, it ended up being a technical foul. That that was a big part in that game, especially in the first half, which which got them into that hole. But he was straightforward with me. And he said it's Michigan is the better team right now. And I think that's all fans want to hear when they speak to other fans when it is the truth. That's all they want to hear. All they want to hear is the other side because I will be happy, whether it's football, basketball, hockey, baseball. I don't care what the sport is. If my squad, the team that I root for, is either playing dirty, not playing well, their coaches and asshat. I don't care the situation. I will call them out in a heartbeat. In a heartbeat. And a lot

of that leads into what I'm getting into next, which is how the media drums up all this drama for this Michigan and Michigan State game. I feel the questions that were asked towards the end of this game were asked it specifically just to cause some shit between Dusty May and Tom Izzo. And that is exactly what is occurring right now. Because right now, Tom Izzo and Dusty May, they hate each other. You can just tell. I don't know how deep the hatred runs, really, but Tom Izzo, I'm pretty sure doesn't have too much respect for Dusty May. I feel Tom Izzo has a grudge against him in the way that Dusty May coaches in the NIL and transfer portal era. I am a hundred percent sure that Tom Izzo hates the fact that Dusty May takes a hundred and ten percent advantage of the transfer portal. I mean, that's what Michigan's team is this year. They are a lot of transfer portal players. But let me tell you this, you better get your ass on board with where college athletics is right now, or you will be buried in the dirt. So Tom Izzo better start taking advantage of the transfer portal better because if you would have got somebody in the transfer portal, you would be in a much better position right now. But instead, he's gonna sit there and kind of have these sour grapes towards Dusty May, who is taking advantage of the transfer portal until they decide to get their arms, legs, whatever they can wrapped around this and fix it. This is the way it is, it's the way it's gonna be. And if your coach or your team is not going to get in the ball game of the transfer portal, that you're gonna be in the dirt. Everybody needs to understand Michigan isn't doing anything illegal. You can sit here and say Dusty May is tampering or doing this. All that is is noise. It's literal noise because nobody has any proof of anything, of any tampering. As a matter of fact, if there is tampering going on, every single coach in college basketball, football, it doesn't matter. They're all big sports, they're all tampering, they're all trying to get the best players. Nothing matters other than winning. And if you're gonna be a sports fan in this day and age, you better check your righteousness at the door.

Can Izzo Adapt

We're not saving the manatees here, folks. Okay? Until Izzo decides to change his ways, Michigan State, their fans, their teams, they're gonna be frustrated. Because this guy needs to start getting in the transfer portal and taking advantage of it, like every other coach is. Listen, you could sit here and say that that Tom Izzo is the best coach you've ever seen. Which we all know that he's a hell of a coach. But the truth is lately, Tom Izzo hasn't been shit. Okay? He's only got one national championship, and until he gets the second one, you guys can argue whether he's even a Hall of Famer or not. In my eyes, until you get the second Natty, what, just because you you coached a long time and got to some Final Fours and but you always lose. Like getting to the Final Four is awesome. It's great, but after a while, you have to win the damn thing. You know, you can't consistently like Michigan hockey, Michigan hockey constantly gets to the frozen four. I can't tell you how many times I've been watching Michigan hockey in the frozen four, and then they always get smoked by some team like Denver or North Dakota, Boston College or some shit. And it's frustrating as hell. And I'm the first person to bury that hockey team because I'm tired of making it to the frozen four. I want to win the national championship. I don't care about making it to Final Fours or Frozen Fours. Is it fun to have your teams go that deep? Sure, you get to continue to watch them. But you want to know what's funner? Watching your team win championships. That's what's fun. I was lucky enough to witness one in football. And let me tell you, it is a feeling like no other. It changed me as a fan. I don't care. I'll say it every single time. You can say whatever the hell you want about Michigan's championship in football. You can call them cheaters, you can say this or that. I don't care. What I'll tell you is the coaching staff that coached that team, well, three of them are NFL coaches right now. Until you start to grasp and realize the talent that Michigan had on the sidelines for those coaches who are now NFL coaches, that is why they won the championships. Okay. Had nothing to do with the plays or anything else like that. Michigan was the better team. And everyone out there who may be listening to this who hates Michigan might have to take their medicine and accept that. Okay? That's just the way that it is. Again, this Dusty May deal with Tom Izzo is is turning into something that is pretty wild. We have Dusty May basically calling out Jeremy Fierce, saying that there were multiple times that he felt there were dangerous plays that went down. And then you have Tom Izzo say that he doesn't really care about what Dusty May says. Well, obviously he does care. Because, dude, Tom Izzo is sour as hell right now over this game. And he should be. It's good that it's this sour for him because it's going to eat at him, especially when it comes to the final game of the season. Michigan, Michigan State play last game of the season. It'll be senior day for the University of Michigan, and the Spartans are going to be gunning to ruin senior day and the final game of the season for the University of Michigan at Chrysler Arena. Michigan State will be ready for that game after what occurred this past Friday on their home court. They are going to want to demolish Michigan. Izzo is going to want to demolish Dusty May's team. The hatred between Dusty May and Tom Izzo, it's there. I don't need it to get to a wild level, though. I think we all witnessed what occurred in in the football rivalry. I I don't need that toxicity going on in these sports. Look, I don't want my team, my coach, I I don't need them to hate their rival. Hate is an extremely strong word here, okay?

Rivalry Respect

I don't need them to hate the other individuals. I need them to hate losing. That's what I need them to hate. I need them to hate losing. And I need them to respect their rival and want to beat them. Hell, I want them to want to beat the shit out of them competitively. But I don't need this toxic hatred that, in my opinion, the media is really, really gunning for when it comes to these relationships between these teams and these coaches, and not just Michigan and Michigan State. It goes for any of the teams and any of the sports that are rivals. They need and they want these wild stories or the drama that is just thicker than blood, so they can jump on board and make it the biggest thing in the world and blow it up into something that it isn't. And to be honest with you, that's kind of, in my opinion, what's going on with Dusty May and Tom Izzo. Yes, Dusty made some comments where he probably should have just kept his damn mouth shut, but he didn't. He decided to open his mouth, and that genie is already out of the bottle, so now it needs to be addressed, especially by the media.

And the people need to talk about it. The media is going to jump all over it, and it's going to make both of them probably look like a bunch of clowns. You want your team to be at the forefront. You don't want some stupid plays to be brought up because you feel something was going on in the background of that game. And again, yes, it's on video. I I get it, I get it. It's a it's a big deal, but the anticipation of the Super Bowl, there is no hype for this Super Bowl whatsoever. It is it is a graveyard when it comes to the Super Bowl hype. I barely see anything on television. I'm I'm not seeing anything even in the media, to be honest with you, when it comes to the Super Bowl. Now, you know I'm still gonna make the picks.

Picks & Props: Ice Baths, Anthems, And Tears

So here they are, the picks for this year's Super Bowl Seattle Seahawks versus New England Patriots. The Seahawks are favored by four and a half points right now. Listen, if if you're telling me that you're gonna give me four and a half points to any team, to any team in the Super Bowl, I'm taking the points. You're gonna give me anything over three, I'm taking it. So I'm taking the New England Patriots plus four and a half points. I do think the Seattle Seahawks win the game, but there's no way I'm not taking the Patriots plus four and a half points. The over-under is around 45.5, 46.5, depending on what site you're on or looking at. I'm also taking the over. I think both of these quarterbacks throw the ball all over the field. They do have good running games, but I think the coaches are gonna open up this game pretty wide when it comes to the wide receivers that they do have and how talented their quarterbacks are. I see both of these quarterbacks throwing for over 250 yards each in this game. And I also see the the overhitting. So I would take over 45, even 46 and a half in the game, and I will take the New England Patriots plus four and a half. Now, you have the Gatorade colors. I mean, look here, you got orange, yellow, lime, green, blue, purple, red, all these colors you can bet on in the game for what color Gatorade is gonna get poured on the coach. I am gonna go total left field right here, because right now you can get clear water. Just ice and water for plus 1100 in the sports books. Give me that value all day long. I'm putting my money on the clear. I'm putting my money on the clear all day. Throw some loot down on water being poured on the coach, and just watch the money come in, baby. And then you have the national anthem. So this is it's at 119 and a half seconds, which is basically just under two minutes. So this can go either way. I mean, sometimes you got some diva up there singing the national anthem, and they're they're stringing out the notes, and it takes them two and a half minutes to finish. I want to say Charlie Pooth is doing the national anthem this year. He doesn't strike me as an individual who will necessarily drag these notes out. I would go with the under two minutes when it comes to the national anthem when it comes to Charlie singing it. Good old Charlie, bring me that money. You can also bet on if there will be someone crying during the national anthem. Yes, that's right. You can bet if a player or coach sheds a tear during the national anthem. No is at plus 184 right now. So that means somebody's gonna be crying. I'm sure it's emotional, but if it's a player, I mean they're probably thinking about the fact that they're probably gonna get a Super Bowl bonus, and their baby mama's gonna take like half of it for the six children that they have with her or something. That's probably why they're shedding a tear. That would make anybody emotional. Those are my picks for this year's Super Bowl. Patriots plus four and a half, the over. Take that water.
