The Morning Charge

Sealed in Christ: Prayer, Devotion, and a Call to Maturity

Joshua Hommes Season 1 Episode 9

In this final episode of our 1 Corinthians series, we walk through Chapter 16, a powerful and practical close to Paul’s letter and to our time in this book. After addressing doctrine, correction, maturity, love, spiritual gifts, and resurrection hope, Paul ends with a clear call to live out what we’ve learned.

This chapter brings everything together: faithful generosity, honoring spiritual leadership, standing firm in the faith, walking in courage, and letting everything we do be done in love. Paul reminds the church that open doors often come with opposition, that maturity shows up in everyday obedience, and that devotion to Christ is non-negotiable.

In this episode, we also take time to pray through the corporate decrees based on the entire book of 1 Corinthians, sealing the journey not with information, but with commitment. These prayers are a declaration to follow Christ fully, to live set apart, to stand firm in truth, and to finish the race strong.

This is not just the end of a study, it’s a sending. A charge to live generously, love deeply, stand courageously, and walk faithfully with Jesus from this day forward.
