In this episode of The Morning Charge, Joshua talks about the oil of God’s presence, the difference between carrying an anointing and chasing a position, and why private preparation matters.

This message focuses on the contrast between Saul and David, the cost of carrying the oil, and the importance of letting God form character, obedience, and intimacy before stepping into a public assignment. It also highlights the need to stop forcing doors open and instead walk with discernment, humility, and trust in God’s timing.

This episode is a reminder that what God develops in private is what He can trust in public. The goal is not simply to gain a title or a platform, but to carry His presence well.

Welcome to the first time. This is your moment here in the place on the morning. We've reached that. Alright, well, good morning, everyone. Welcome to the morning charges. Everyday battles we all face. Standard time and daylight time depending on your truth. Because following Jesus was never meant to be complicated. Whether you're driving to work, you're getting the winds if people watch when God is real talking about real life. When life isn't going quite the way that we had thought or we had planned, or disappointments and things come our way, or when sicknesses and things come our way, we're here to pray with one another. And we're here to go through the word of God with one another. Iron is sharpening iron right here in this room. And Brandy and I are so very thankful for each and every one of you that jump in here with us every single weekday. Don't forget, if you miss a morning charge, you can find the morning charge podcast anywhere that you find your podcast. Spotify, Apple, doesn't matter, wherever those things are. Tim, good morning, brother. Good to see you. But just look for the morning charge, the little symbol thing you see right there, the little morning charge logo. You can find that. And you can also find the morning charge playlist on Spotify, which includes a lot of the music that I play here every single morning. Go to the link in my BIO on my actual page. If you want to find out more information about Brandy and myself, you want to find out more information about fire and water ministries. If you would like to become a monthly partner with us, or if the Lord lays it on your heart to do something in that nature, to throw something that way. Yeah, TikTok language, y'all. Go to the link in my BIO. We're very thankful for our monthly partners. You guys are the ones that get us where God sends us, which means you go with. In other words, you go with us. Not everybody can pile in the RV and go with us, but you guys help get us to the places where we can take the mission and the gospel of Jesus Christ to people and give people hope and renew, renew strength in their lives, remind them who they are and whose they are. And what you guys do is very important to the mission. And we thank you guys so very much. All right, y'all. Oh, and don't forget, we have a lot of events coming up. All right, we have the Ignite conference coming up in June at Higher Plains Ministries in Aniston. We have Freedom Fest coming up where Brandy and I will be leading worship, some there in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. And we also have another one accord nights coming up in October, at the beginning of October. Don't forget the Lost and Found Cruise coming up in September if cruising is your jam. And also the Warriors Rising conference is coming up towards the middle of October, the 16th and 17th of October. But I mentioned that one specifically because space is limited. So there is a registration link. It is free to register for this event. It's in Oxford, Alabama. Get all the details up there, Warriors Rising. That is a that is a fire and water event that we are doing right here in Oxford. If you would like to be here with us, it's going to be a powerful time in the Lord. All right, and we're already even lining up speakers now to uh be able to come to this thing. So get up there and register and make sure to register everybody who will be coming, including your spouse and your children. All right. Yesterday we we were going through and we were talking about the oil and the dream that the Lord had given me. And so this morning, I was preparing and I was praying and I was going through some of my notes and some different things. Lord, what do I do? And then and then I got on social for a second and I was going to go post something, and and and this post comes up right in front of me from a really near and dear friend of mine talking about somebody I haven't talked to recently, talking about the importance of how to carry the oil and the timing of the oil. And I was like, oh my gosh, were they like in like were they listening? But no, they weren't listening yesterday. And I was like, wow, but their take on it was a little bit different. It was more like guarding the oil. It was it was talking about presence over position, is kind of what they were saying. It's the presence, carrying the presence of the Lord, carrying and guarding the oil that the Lord has put in your life for an appointed time. And if you have been hidden for any length of time, that means that God is guarding the oil and is really strengthening you. So when he brings you out, it is nothing but purity and holiness. And what you bring with you is going to be pure because God has been uh protecting the oil in your life. Amen. Protecting the oil in your life. So listen, I started searching out some more scriptures and deep diving in 1 Samuel this morning. And so that's kind of where I want to go because God is obviously on this. He's giving me a dream about it. He's speaking to other people about the oil right now and the ways that you carry the oil. And so I kind of want to go through another aspect of that. And then Monday morning, we'll, of course, we'll jump into, well, hopefully we'll jump in a different direction. We'll see. I don't know. Amanda, good morning to you. Paul, good morning to you. Excited to share that God has you halfway to 60. That's right. He is doing 60 bags in 60 days for his 60th birthday, which we will be celebrating. You have to put the date down there again because I'm, you know how I am with dates. I do good to keep my own dates. But you're halfway, so you've hit the 30 mark. And I'm telling you, you will not be disappointed, my friends. No, he hasn't paid me anything to say this. So yeah, you're on your way. June the 4th, okay, is the half. And you're halfway. June the 4th, you will be 60. We'll celebrate your birthday here on the morning charge, of course. And but look, you won't be disappointed. This is not just, you know, just any other coffee, okay? It's actually good quality what he is doing. And you will not be disappointed. Try that cowboy blend if you get a chance. Nice and smooth, not oily, no heartburn over this way. So we love you, brother. Hey, I'm all about supporting kingdom businesses, y'all. I will do it all day long. Sassa Girl, thanks for your heart. Me, thanks for jumping in. You'll be oh, look, there's somebody else in here this morning. You will be 60 on June the 21st. So the sixth month of the year, lots of 60s going on. No, no, no. We're not going there with the sixes. Everybody, calm down. I'm just saying. And you feel 25. Praise God. That's it. I'll be 42 in July. I still feel like I'm 18, y'all. So you know what? You're they say you're as you're as young as you feel. All right. The years keep clicking by. I'm hanging on to my youth as long as I possibly can. Lord willing. Amen. Jesus says, King, thank you for your heart. Me jumping in this morning. Good morning, everyone. If I haven't said hello to you. All right. I say, let's pray and let's get starting on this word this morning. Just kind of see where God takes us through the word this morning. Let's deep dive again on the oil because God is obviously, He is, He's, he's, He's burning here. Amen. June, Apostle, yours is June the 7th, 60th. A lot of June birthdays. Twist, little sisters, 30. On May the 20th, you still feel like you're 20. There you go. Hang on to it, my friend. Hang on to it. Cowboy coffee arrived yesterday, and it smells amazing. Can't wait to try it. There you go, Mike. I'm telling you, you won't be disappointed. It tastes just as good as it smells. Amen. Tim, every day is my birthday. Well, praise God. That's true. All right, Tim has a good point there. We are renewed. His mercies are new every morning. So we should get up and be reborn in the Lord every single morning. You got a good point there, Tim. All right. Let's pray. Let's jump into the word. See what God has to say. Father, I thank you. Lord, I thank you so much for our morning charge family. Lord, I thank you so much for your word. Lord, let this word just come alive in our hearts, come alive in our lives, God. Lord, let it bring transformation. God, transformative power to us today. Father, I pray, Lord, that you would come and you would peel off yet another layer of the onion of life in our lives today, God, as you continue to work your way down to the heart, God. Lord, to get to get us in a place, Lord, where we're following you, we're hearing you. Father, that you're pushing us past all the all the questions of our mind and the thoughts that we have and the plans that we have, God, Lord, press us past all of that today. And may we be fully in tune with you. Lord, everything we say, everything we do, may it be good and pleasing to you, God, and we give you honor, we give you glory, we give you praise right now in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen. Amen, y'all. Alright, yesterday. Yesterday we talked about the oil and the dream that I had and how a lot of people just a lot of people may not understand what it is that you're carrying in your life, your anointings, your callings, your giftings, the things that God has placed in your life. And God is taking so many people to a new level right now that that you're beginning to stir the waters and you're beginning to disturb the flow of man. But you're really getting into the river of the Lord. You're really understanding who you are and whose you are. You're understanding how to walk this journey out with God, and you're disturbing some things. Remember the dream I had. I had brought the oil. I had a very similar setup as what was going on in this place. But the biggest part of the dream was I brought oil over and I filled this lady's cup up. And she looked almost like, what is this? And I asked, What was in there? She said it was a very uh it was a very uh expensive medicine, all right, a man-made substance that was uh keeping her daughter alive and it had it had run out. Well, I brought the oil and I poured it in and she was almost like, What am I gonna do with that? See, a lot of people have relied on man, they've relied on the thinking of man for men to think for them, uh, so they're not thinking for themselves. All different aspects of this dream come to my mind when I'm looking at this. So when the real pure oil of the Lord begins to pour out, some people just have no idea what to do with it. It's foreign to them. They don't know what to do, and they want something they can grab a hold of, something they can contain. Well, when God begins to pour out the oil, you can't contain it. It's everywhere. We talked about this yesterday, just pours out everywhere. You cannot do anything, you can't stop it where it wants to go, it's gonna go. So then this morning, I opened social and boom, there's a post from a really good friend of mine who is talking about guarding the oil. Guard the oil of what God and they and she began to just break it. And I was like, oh my goodness gracious, like you listen to my lives. No, she didn't even know about this. She didn't know anything I talked about yesterday, didn't know anything about the dream. This is what the Lord showed her. So obviously, God is on this. So you know what happens to me when God is breathing on something, I don't leave it so easily. So now part two is gonna come to you this morning because I want to make sure we get this. I want to make sure I get this. Lord, what are you saying? Lord, I want to understand the hour because I don't want to go around the mountains of my life that I have always gone around. I don't want to continue to go around that mountain. I want to do what they did in the word, and the Lord said, Hey, it's time to turn and go north now. In other words, I want to take you this way. Stop going around in circles and let's hit the path of the Lord, which means we're making progress and we're going somewhere. It's not necessarily about the destination, but it's about the journey. And if you're like me, I don't want to go around the same old mountains I've been around. I don't want to go around again to try to relearn lessons that I should have learned the first, second, fifth time that I went through it. God, it's time to turn and go another way. I want to get what you've got right now in this season. I want to hear your voice for what you're saying right now. I want to be present with you in the moment, being in the secret place with him in the moment, so I'm understanding what's going on with my life, what is going on with the things that I'm facing. You know, if we just gave him the time of day like we should. You know what? It's funny. Time is his. Our life is his. Everything we have is his. So we need to give him his time. We need to give him the time that he deserves. Because he's a good, good father. So let's continue on the oil conversation this morning. So we talked about carrying the oil yesterday, all right, even when others don't understand it. But today, going a little bit deeper. Okay, because there's there's a there's a danger in this hour. And there's gonna be a lot that are going to, they're gonna mistreat the oil that is pouring out, and there's gonna be a lot who are not going to understand the oil and they're gonna stop the flow. Like, quick, quick, quick. We're gonna cut this off and we're gonna stop it. All right, we don't want to be on either side of the ditch. I want to be right here in the middle of the road. Okay? But there's a danger in this hour because there's a lot of people who are chasing positions or chasing a certain position without carrying the presence of the Lord, without carrying the oil. See, there's a lot of people who say, Man, I wish I could, or oh, I wish. Have you ever been in a meeting? And I'm guilty too. Hello. We're we're we're we're we're where somebody comes in and they're that type of they're that type of minister where they're ministering the word, and then all of a sudden they're calling out numbers, and it's somebody's phone number that's in the room, and then they're speaking a prophetic word over that person or an address, or, you know, I see you sitting in a yellow chair by a window, and they have a yellow chair by their window, and God really starts using this person to call out situations and bring hope back to people. And you're like, boy, you know, I wish that'd be so great. I'd love to have that. We have to be careful when we say things like that. Man, I wish I could. Are you sure? Because I didn't, I don't see the cost that goes behind what that person is pouring out. You don't see the cost that goes with the outpouring of what that person is willing to outpour in front of people. You don't see the cost of what is going on to sustain them when they're not in front of people. See, there's a cost that goes along with that. Are you willing to stay on your face before the Lord for the time that it's going to take to be able to hear his voice so intently so that when you are ministering, the Lord begins to say, that's the lady I was talking about, that's the gentleman I was talking about, that's the kid I was talking about to you in your time. Because guess what? They got to spend some extended time before the Lord for him to begin to speak to people that they're going to be ministering to. That's not a we here for a couple of minutes with a little quick prayer and we're on about our day. That's a I'm gonna go and I'm gonna tarry with the Lord for a little while, and there's gonna be a cost to that because I'm not gonna be able to do this, that, or the other today because I got to get away. I got to go spend some time with him. I got to be like Jesus and go spend some time out here alone with God so I can hear his voice. There's a cost that comes to that, and we have to be careful. And there's a lot of people who want to get themselves into a position to where they can begin to look and talk and sound, and while it just like something like that. But guess what? Man can only sustain that for a certain amount of time before it becomes evidently clear that the Lord was not the one sustaining that. Because that person done fell away, that person got burnt out, they're on to this, that, and the other, and they look like a huge, big old scattered mess instead of carrying out the vision, running with the vision. God is who sustains you for the vision. He is your sustenance, he is your strength, he is your shield. And if you're not denying yourself, picking up your cross, following him daily, putting on your armor, then guess what? The day is going to have its way with you. The enemy is going to have his way with you. You've got to make sure you're girded up and you're ready. There's a cost that comes to carrying the oil. And I've been thinking a lot about Saul and David. All right, this is a story that a lot of us know. Maybe some of you don't really know the story of Saul and David, but the Lord began to show me something real clear this morning that Saul, Saul had the position. Saul had the position, but David was the one who was carrying the oil, the little shepherd boy. One sitting over here on the throne had the crown on his head, but the other one, the other one had presence, the presence of the Lord in his life. And I want to say this to you the crown, the crown on somebody's head means nothing if there is no presence. The crown of somebody in a high, haughty position means absolutely nothing if the presence of the Lord is not there. And we see this in 1 Samuel. We see this. All right. Saul, Saul, he started, he started with the oil, he did, but he was not one that guarded the oil of the Lord very well. All right, we see this. 1 Samuel 15, 22 and 23. Let's just dive in and let's just see what God wants to say this morning. So Samuel said, has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed that the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft. Little warning here. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is and is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, he has also rejected you from being king. Okay, so Saul, Saul had the kingy title here. Saul had authority. Saul was the one sitting high and mighty here, in this, in this place. But Saul had the he had the title. He was he was the one in authority in the land, in the place, but but something was happening to Paul, to Saul. Sorry. Saul, he began to compromise. He began to he began to justify his disobedience. Saul started having the fear of people more than he had the fear of God. And then eventually we see in 1 Samuel over in the next chapter in 16, starting in verse 14, now the spirit of the Lord left Saul. Roro. Let me tell you something. You start doing things your own way, you start compromising, you start doing this and that. The hand will lift. The spirit of the Lord left Saul, and an evil spirit from the Lord terrified him. Saul's servant said to him, Behold, now an evil spirit from God is terrifying you. May our Lord now command your servants who are before you, have them search for a man who is a skillful musician on the harp, and it shall come about wherever the evil spirit from God is upon you, that he shall play the harp with his hand, and you will become well. So Saul said to his servants, Now select for me a man who can play well and bring him to me. Then one of the young men responded and said, Hey, behold, I have seen a son of Jesse, the Bethlehemite, who is a skillful musician, a valiant, mighty man, a warrior, skillful in speech, he's a handsome man, and the Lord is with him. So Saul sent his messengers to Jesse to say, Send me your son David, who is with the flock. And what what went on to go here is that David came in, he played his harp for Saul, and the spirits would leave, and Saul would feel well. But as soon as David would stop playing, it would return. See, we're already beginning to see the anointing that David, the pure oil that David carried upon his life in those moments would drive it, would drive those spirits out. But as soon as he would stop, they would come back. Alright. But the position of Paul remained here. But the presence of the Lord has left due to the compromising in things. Okay. When the spirit of the Lord leaves, something else can enter. But David had the power of the Lord on the inside of him. He carried the true oil. That's this is this is what we should be getting from this. And when he would begin to play, the Spirit had to leave because he is one that carried the Spirit of the Lord with him. Because if you look, we gotta go back a little bit. Let's go, let's go back for just a moment to verse 13. In 1 Samuel 16 and 13, because that's where I'm going next. See, David was anointed. Before he was appointed. Amen. We are in First Samuel. I'm in quite a few places this morning, but we're in verse 16 right now. Okay. The Spirit of the Lord came upon David. So what we see in 1 Samuel 16 and 13, so Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers. We mentioned this yesterday. And the spirit of the Lord rushed upon David from that day forward. And Samuel set out and went to Ramah. Okay. But what we see here, the Spirit of the Lord rushed upon David from that day forward. So what we are seeing through the depiction of this story is we see the Spirit of the Lord come upon David, but the Spirit of the Lord left Saul. So you're seeing one that is young, a young shepherd boy, but yet pure at heart, pure in his motives, pure in everything, the spirit of the Lord came upon him. And what's interesting, Samuel took the oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers, and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David. But yet the very next chapter we're seeing the Spirit of the Lord had left Saul. See, when you allow compromise and things to creep in, when you're when you're when you're justifying disobedience and you're not doing what God is telling you to do, when you have the fear of man more than you have the fear of God, things begin to lift. And you're allowing the enemy to be able to creep into your life. You're leaving open doors to your life. David was one that was hidden. All right, because this right here, this is happening when he's still very young. So the Lord has him hidden, but yet he has him anointed for an appointed time. David was overlooked because he was the youngest. He was kind of the runt of the group. Okay. He was the one out tending the sheep. David was not chosen by man. David was chosen by God, was chosen by God himself. David was one that had the oil. He was anointed. The Spirit of the Lord came upon him. He carried the presence of the Lord, and he was and he had a heart after God. He had a heart after God. God had anointed him in the midst of him being hidden. See, the Lord came in because David was one that allowed the Lord to have the processes he needed. Joey, thanks for the sheep. Had the processes happening at such an early age. And because God prepares things in private, just like he did with David, God will then reveal things in public. I want you that to soak in because there's a twofold thing here. If you allow God to prepare you in private, that will be revealed in public. If you have not spent time with the Lord and there is no fruit hanging on your tree, but you're trying to self-produce a whole lot of man-made things, that too shall be revealed in public at some point. I don't say those things to condemn anybody, but I say those things to convict our hearts, I'm including me here, convict our hearts to check ourselves every day and say, Lord, is there anything in here that needs to go? Am I doing anything upon my own strength? Am I doing anything upon my own building and doing and going? Or am I listening to you and doing what you are saying to do? Yeah, Sean, we got to have self-reflection every day. We have to analyze ourselves every day. And we have to remember, Joe, you said something very key. We got to remember that Jesus Christ is King. Jesus Christ is, he is, he is Lord and He is King. We got to keep him in his rightful place in our lives. And if we put him in that rightful place in our lives where he is king, then we are walking out lives the way that he has designed us to. Amen. Landon, what is up? It's a good day to have a good day. What's up, buddy? Good to see you, man. Thanks for jumping in. I'm just here sharing the truth. Amen. You know how it goes. Real talk, real Jesus, real life. But it's good to see you, man. Love you, dude. But what you're allowing God to prepare in you in private or do in you in private, that is what he will begin to reveal in public. To be able to step out and do things in the public place is going to cost you something in the private place. I'm gonna say that one more time. What you allow God to do with you in the private place is what God will allow you to go out and do in the public place. There's a cost that comes with it. The cost is spending time with Him, giving Him your full undivided attention. Before I do this with you guys in the mornings, before I I pray and seek the Lord with my spouse and with my children, I first must have time with just Him and me. That is where things begin. I have to have time, one-on-one time with the Lord, and it cost me time. But I'm willing to pay that price. I'm willing to pay that price to spend time with the Lord because I cannot be effective here. I cannot be effective to Brandy. I cannot be effective to my children. I cannot be effective to the ministry places that God has called me. I cannot be effective in the businesses that he has allowed us to have. I cannot be effective in my community to anybody else unless I have first spent time with him and allowed him to pour the oil over me to sustain me for the day. And then meet him again in the morning to pour out the oil again to sustain me for the day. To meet him again the next day. This does not go based upon how I feel. Well, I I don't I don't feel like sitting and listening to the Lord and talking with him today. No. I know that if I am going to be any bit of effective anywhere else today, I have got to go spend time with him. This has been the theme of our talks over the last like weeks. Heather, thanks for the coffee this morning, friend. This has been our theme for weeks. What are all the messages God's been giving me? What does it all boil down to? Find yourself in the secrets, but the secret place, spend time with him. Find yourself in the secret place, spend time with him. Everything goes back to find yourself in the secret place, spending time with him. That's what everything goes back to. You want the oil in your life? Go spend time with him. You want clarity about what it is he's asking of you right now, go spend time with him. You want your situations to change, your marriage to come back together, your children to come back home because they're prodigals out running around, go spend time in the secret place. You got this disease or your or your your your your your neighbor or whoever you have this diagnosis from the Father and you're wondering where healing's going to come from, find yourself in the secret place. Find yourself spending time with God so that He can do in your life what needs to be done in your life. You're tired of living broke, busted, and disgusted? Find yourself in the secret place. There is no other go find go spend time with Jesus. There is no other answer. I don't have a million steps for you. Yes, I mean, I could give you steps on stewarding your finances better. I could give you steps on, well, if you have this, you might want to take these supplements and it helps with that and it does this and pray. I mean, I we could sit here with all kinds of step-by-step programs, but honestly, what everything boils back to is find yourself in the presence of Jesus, and then things will begin to turn around. And yes, Paul, it needs to be intentional. You intentionally need to spend time with Jesus today and tomorrow and forever and for always. And then spend time with him all day because he is the one that will carry you through the day. He is the one that should be helping you put your schedule together. One interesting note, too, that we see about David as I was studying this morning is over in chapter 24, 1 Samuel 24. We see where David had many opportunities to take the throne early. He could have taken the throne early. He was in a place where he could have Saul right on out of here and stepped right on in. And he instantly recognized someone had touched the. I mean, if somebody touched the hem of my shirt, I probably not gonna really notice. I might. But all she did the hem. And he turned around. Was able to heal that lady right then and there. That's the kind of Jesus we serve. And it's all about presence. Are you willing to go deeper so that he can lift you higher? Because you gotta go deeper if you want to go higher. Come on. But David had a lot of opportunities to take the throne early. I mean, I was reading this morning in chapter 1 Samuel chapter 24, and this is the whole place where David, I mean, David spares Saul here. And if you look at verse eight, David also arose afterward, went out of the cave, and called out to Saul, saying, My Lord the King. And then Saul looked behind him, and David stooped with his face to the earth and bowed down. And David said to Saul, David said to Saul, Why do you listen to the words of men who say, Indeed, David seeks your harm? Look, this day your eyes have seen that the Lord delivered you today into my hand in the cave, and someone urged me to unalive you, but my eyes spared you, and I said, I will not stretch out my hand against my Lord, for he is the Lord's anointed. He spared him. David knew it wasn't time, and that was not the way. Once again, when you are one that carries the oil of the Lord, you're gonna know the timing on things, you're gonna sense God's leading, you're gonna know what to do and when to do it, and he knew that was not the way. But he had the chance. He said, You're here, and I could have done this. But I'm not. I'm not. Let the Lord judge between you and me, and let the Lord avenge me on you. But my hand shall not be against you. That was verse 12. David could have forced his way on in there. David could have he could have done it. He could have justified it. He's a sorry man, and we we couldn't let this continue to go on in the land, so I just I just took care of it. Oh yeah, it could have been very easily justified. David could have taken the throne right then and there, but he did not. Why? Because David understood something very, very important. If you have to force it, it's not God. If you have to force it and go ahead and do it wrongly, see, David had he had discernment. He knew that was not right. But if you got to force something and take it into your own hands, that's not the Lord. Don't ever take on something that it's not yours to take on, because it will always go bad for you. And while he could have justified this and he could have made it happen, it would not have been blessed the way God wanted to bless it when David was able to step into that place. What are you carrying right now that God has entrusted you with? And you've been trying to force some things, you've been trying to do some things, you've been trying to kick some doors down. You don't want it that way. You don't want it that way. You might say, this is what God promised, and that is wonderful, and that is great. And I'm all about one of stepping in. Okay? Say, say, yeah, if we try to force, yeah, same with people. If we try to force them, that's not the way that God. CC, we've got to, you can invite people to church and you can invite people to meetings, and you can, you can, you can say, hey, can I pray with you? I mean, but it, but you're doing it in a permission base. If they say no, then you just respect that and say, well, you know what? I'll be praying for you. Love you. Leave it alone. And then you go pray for them because the Holy Spirit can come and meet them in places that you cannot walk into. We are only change agents. We bring the kingdom and we're change agents in a sense of I'm gonna lead you to the one that can heal you. I'm gonna lead you to the one that can save you. I can lead you to the one that can that can give you joy and strength and sustain you. But I cannot be your savior. I cannot be your healer. I am not your source of strength. Okay? I don't mind having conversations with people. I don't mind talking with people and encouraging them in situations, but you cannot call me 10 times a day, every day, and come at me as if I'm your source of strength. I am not. And see, I've I've had people in the past get they get frustrated with me because I sit them back here. Yeah, yeah, I know the word and that, but what do I do here? I can't tell you what to do. But I can tell you to get into the presence of the one that can direct you, that can tell you what to do, that can give you the blueprints for your life. And the only reason I can't he's done that for me. I would not send you to a place that I've never been. The secret place is somewhere I've been, and somewhere that the Lord is able to speak to me. I mean, that's why I talk about this every day. Get you a journal of some kind. If the Lord is speaking and you are not writing down what he is saying or what he's showing you in the word or what he has shown you throughout the day, I mean, he speaks to us in many different ways. You're not being effective. I enjoy being able to go back, and I've my handwriting is not the best, but I enjoy being able to go back and say, you know what, when he was speaking to me the other day, I put the date and what I feel like the Lord is speaking for that day. Or what he's showing me in his word, different scriptures and different things. I mean, he's given me strategies for the regions that we're in. Some of us plant the seed, some of us plant the seed, some help to nourish the seed, but God is the one that grows the seed. He brings the sunshine and the rain, and he causes that seed to grow. We have to plant seeds. We have to take the weeds up around it, make sure it's all good. But he brings the sun and the rain. It's a process together. It's a togetherness with the Lord. But I go back through here and I look, you know, about the oak tree seed that we've talked about. I have a strategy right here about different things that he's calling us to right now that I begin to write down. I begin to talk about Acts 19 and how that was a turning point. When we were going through that, I wrote down what the Lord was even showing me, aside from the notes that I had written down. You gotta have something that you can document what God is saying and then pray over it. Take it, take it every day and look at it, thumb through it, spend a few moments seeing what God is saying. It's so very important. It's so very important. And wait on his timing. Step with him, but don't misstep. And if you're seeking him with your whole heart and you're following after him, and your heart is pure before him, you're not gonna misstep. Just be in it with him every single day. And you know, honoring the process, David chose the process over vying for a position. See, there's something else in this, in this story, too. You know, in Psalms 105 it says, until the time that his word came to pass. See, there's a very important thing. Until the time that his word came to pass, that means that there is a time and a season for everything under heaven. All right, that's in scripture too. But there's a time when his word shall come to pass. David knew there was a process to get to get to be king. And he wasn't vying for that position. He was going through the process that the Lord had set him in. See, the cave was a part of the process. The wilderness for David was a part of the process. The waiting on the Lord was a part of the process, but God was forming him before releasing him to take the throne. God had things for him to learn each step of the way in every season of his life. The Lord had something for him to glean from to learn. Could it be that you're in a season right now where God has you to where you're learning something, and there's something you need to learn before you can take the next step? What is it that God needs you to learn in the season you're in before he takes you into the next one? What are we doing in the wilderness? What are you doing when you feel like you're out here in left field? God, what should I be learning? What should I be doing? What are you teaching me right now? God, I want to glean from everything that you have for me right now because I know it's going to equip me to be able to take the seat you've asked me to sit in, to take the position that you're asking me to get into. Amen. Amen. That's today's morning charge. Before you move on with your day, take a moment and let what you've heard settle into your heart. Faith isn't just something we talk about, it's something we live out in the ordinary moments of everyday life. Wherever today takes you, remember this. You don't walk into it alone. God is already ahead of you, working in ways you may not even see yet. Stand firm, walk in wisdom, lead with love, and don't forget who you belong to. Until next time, keep your heart anchored, keep your faith strong, and keep living out real talk, real Jesus, real life. We'll see you on the next morning charge.
