The Morning Charge
Do Not Miss the Assignment
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
In this episode of The Morning Charge, Joshua talks about assignments from God, the importance of obedience, and what happens when people keep delaying what God has placed in front of them.
This message focuses on stepping out in faith, refusing to overthink what God has already spoken, and understanding that provision often meets people as they move, not before they move. It also highlights the difference between dreaming and actually acting, and why believers need both rest and forward movement in the right seasons.
This episode is a reminder that God’s plans will move forward. The question is whether believers will say yes and step into what He is asking them to do.

Real Talk. Real Jesus. Real Life.
Welcome to the Morning Charge. This is your moment to slow down, breathe, and get your spirit aligned before stepping into the day ahead. Life moves fast, responsibilities pile up, voices compete for your attention. But before the noise of the world takes over, this is where we come back to what actually matters. This is a place for honest conversations about faith, life, purpose, and everyday battles we all face. No pretending, no religious performance, just the truth. Because following Jesus was never meant to be complicated, it was meant to be real. So whether you're driving to work, you're getting the kids ready, or simply taking a quiet moment for yourself, you're in the right place. This is real talk, real Jesus, real life. This is the morning charge. If you don't step out and do what God has called you to do, he will move the assignment to someone else. Let me say that again. I know that sounds like real harsh, whatever. But if you don't step out and do what God is calling you to do in this season, right here, right now, he will move the assignment. Because God is going to accomplish what he needs to accomplish, and he is looking for those that are saying yes. He's looking for those that are willing to carry out his plans. All right. And he wants to use you and me. That is why we are here. If all salvation was, was just knowing Jesus and getting to meet him at the altar, he would have just taken us right then. There's nothing else left. You found Jesus. Glory to God. Time to go home. But, you know, I got saved at a real young age. I was about seven years old. I was seven when I got saved. And then shortly thereafter, my whole family and I were baptized. So we got saved at a very young age. I'm still here. I'll be 42 this year. So that means God wasn't done with me at seven. Or that would have been it. See, there's a lot more to the story, and we're going to find out what that is this morning. Father, I thank you, Lord, this morning. Lord, that your word is going to come alive in our hearts, God. Lord, don't just let our minds conceive it, but let it be deep-rooted, written upon our hearts, God, so that we can begin to walk it out. We can begin to talk it out, God. Lord, we can share Jesus, Lord, with all of those that are around us, Father. Lord, with our family, God. Lord, with our coworkers, Lord. Father, Lord, Lord, those at the store, Father, when we go, Lord, that there's a boldness that you have placed on the inside of us to be able to speak your truth. And God, I pray, Lord, that your truth would just come forward even this morning. Holy Spirit, I thank you that this is a place where iron sharpens iron. I thank you, Father, for our morning charge family, God. Lord, those that are not afraid, Lord, to lift those up in prayer. Those strong prayer warriors, God, Lord, that we are lifting each other up, God. Lord, and we're seeing transformation take place in the lives of those that you have entrusted us with. And God, we give you all the glory and the honor and the praise right now in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen. Amen and amen. All right. Here we go. We're going to dive into the word this morning. All right, if we don't step out and do what God's called us to do, He's going to move the assignment to someone else. All right, there's going to be moments, there's going to be moments in life when God puts an assignment in front of you, something that He is He is speaking to you, something that He has maybe talked to you about over and over and over and over at this point. There's a thought that keeps coming to your head. Man, I I want to start this business. I want to start that ministry. I want to start, I want to start that volunteer position that I know that you're calling me to do with the local nonprofit. There's a job that maybe he has put on your heart to apply for, and you keep putting it off because you don't feel like you're good enough. And you see, you have all these worries and these doubts and these things. There's so many excuses. No matter what the excuse is, though, what you do next with the assignment that God has put in front of you matters. What you do next matters. Disobedience, if you're being disobedient and you're not doing it, that matters. All right. If you're delaying things, that matters. You think, oh no, that's just me being crazy and thinking all these things. So you're very hesitant. All right. You're being very you just you're going to push it off over here because I can't, I can't do that. I I don't I don't know how that looks. I don't know. You're scared of the unknown. Whatever the excuse is, you continue to push it off. God's plan is going to stand. But if you continue to say no to what he has for you, then you're going to miss, you're going to miss the fullness of what God is trying to bring you into. All right. God does not stop being God because somebody refuses to obey. He doesn't just stop being God because somebody said no. All right. He will raise up somebody else who is going to say yes. If you say no over and over and over, and I'm not doing that, and we're not doing that, I'm comfortable with my little life and what I got going on right here, then he will shift that assignment to somebody else who's going to say yes and begin to run with him. All right. So if you don't step out, he'll move the assignment. And I know that sounds very harsh, but that is something he spoke to me a year ago. A lot of you have heard that story, but I'm gonna I'll briefly explain that here in just a few minutes. All right, we have created this, especially in the Western world church, we have created this very soft version of Christianity. All right, and what I mean by that is we have created this very soft version of Christianity where people think they can just continue to sit still. I'm just gonna, I'm just gonna sit still over here. All right. I'm going to uh uh I'm just going to uh just continue to push off those things that that I know I should be doing or I know that I should be stepping into. We've created a Christianity where we where we overthink everything that comes our way. We feel like when God speaks something to us, we have to continue to talk it out, and then, well, if I do it like this, it'll look like this. And if I do it like that, it'll look like that. And then if I and then nothing's ever getting done. Nothing's ever getting done. And see, there's so many people who are that you are tired and you are wore out, then you need to get around people that are going to be able to sharpen you and help hold you up and do all the things that God has called you to do. There is no age, there is no age limits in the kingdom. Whether you're nine or you're 90, there is no age, there is no junior Holy Spirit, and there is no senior citizen holy spirit. It is just one Holy Spirit. Amen. I am a huge believer that everybody needs a Sabbath every week. See, we've made Sabbaths this huge religious thing where it's just like, oh, that was like Jewish custom thing, like, you know, that's not even, if you're even calling it Sabbath, you must be one of those guys way out there. You know what I'm talking about. But he rested on the seventh day. God rested on the seventh day. If you're not taking time to rest, if you are burning the candle at both ends, you're not being very effective for the kingdom. You're tired, you wore out, you got all these things to do. Hello? Take a day every week. Take a 24-hour span every week, and you're like, Josh, I can't do that. You know how much I've got to? You can't afford not to, because what you do is you have to, you have to take time for yourself so that you are able to do what God has called you to do. You are able to do what God has called you to do. So you better be taking that day. Take that 24-hour period off for yourself and enjoy it. Spend time doing the things you love to do. Go for a hike or whatever it is that you enjoy doing. Spend time with your family and your children. Be presently present in their presence and see what happens. Leave the phone on the charger, leave the iPad on the charger, whatever you got to do. Stop bringing distractions into your Sabbath. Rest, get away from some things, and take time for what's important. It'll change your life. I'm just telling you from personal experience. But on the caveat, on the flip side of that, don't spend the other six days just it's not a time to sit still. Yes, take time to rest. We all need that. All right. God designed us. We need to rest. Why do you think we sleep every night? Why do you think you can't just stay at stay up 24 hours a day and just continue trucking? Because our bodies weren't designed to do that. All right. He created us to have a balance in our lives of working and resting and moving and sitting. There's a balance here, and you got to be in it with him to know the balance. Yeah, we cannot sit around and be lazy. Ain't no time to be lazy. This Western world, over here, we have created way too many comforts for our own good. We sit around, we overthink everything, we analyze everything, we refuse to do some things. And then nothing ever gets done. You're just sitting, going through the motions of life. And you think you can do those things and still walk out the fullness of what God has spoken to you about. There's a lot of people who are walking around like, He'll do it, won't he do it? Won't He do it? Yes, he will. Yes, I mean that's actually a song, isn't it? Won't He do it? Yes, he Oh, we just sang that song. And yes, he will do it. He will bring your healing, he will bring your restoration, he will bring your strength, he will bring your courage, he will give you all of those things. But I'm telling you, you've got to be one that begins to step out and walk things out so he can bring it. If you're wondering why you're still feeling the way you're feeling, if you're wondering why things haven't happened the way they were supposed to be happening or the way that you thought they were going to happen, well, sometimes God has a different plan for you. Or it could be that you haven't been doing your part.
SPEAKER_01The kingdom of God works a little bit differently.
SPEAKER_00The blessings of God follow those who are moving with Him. The blessings of God, why do you think they followed a cloud by day and a fire by night? If they hadn't done that, they were following the Lord and the blessings of the Lord went with them. All right. The blessings of God don't follow those that are just sitting around talking all day. You know, there's a difference between uh uh uh what dreamers and visionaries. All right, there's two types of people dreamers and visionaries. Dreamers, they sit around and dream up everything they wish they had or they wish they were doing, or the business they had, or the ministry they had started, or the thing they'd stepped out and done, or the or or this, that, and the other. And they dream about it, they think about it, they overanalyze it, they go to bed, and they get up the next day and don't do anything about it. A visionary, a visionary sees what God has dropped in their spirit, they understand it, they Habakkuk 2 and 2 it where they write it down on tablets and write the vision out and make it plain so whoever should uh read it will run with it, and then they understand Habakkuk 4 or 2 and 3, sorry, where everything has a time and a season under heaven, but they ain't just gonna sit around and wait. See, a lot of people take that one for, well, everything has a time and a season. I'm just gonna sit here. Maybe my time will be, well, whenever God makes it happen. Well, maybe you take the first step, and then as you continue to step. See, the Lord spoke to us. We're down on the Gulf Coast. I'm living my comfortable life on the Gulf Coast. And God says, go to Northeast Alabama. Okay. Well, what then? Well, he says, Well, when you get there, then I'll give you next steps. Well, we tried overanalyzing it, we tried thinking about it, we tried, well, what that and that and the other, and this maybe maybe it's this, maybe it's that, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. So we're sitting there trying to overanalyze it, we're getting everybody else involved, trying to overanalyze it. And then when we got here where we are now in Northeast Alabama, where he told us to go, then he gave me next steps. And I'm like, when are we going to learn to listen to the Lord? That's a recent story for us, by the way. All right, once again, I'm not a superhuman. I'm walking this thing out just like everybody else. I can only tell you and teach you about the things that I have been through. And God is still taking me through processes. We are never, ever, ever arrived. We have never, never arrived to that point where I got it all figured out. Let's go. No, no, no. We're figuring this thing out as we go. All right. Moses was figuring things out as he went and carrying the people to the promised land. Abraham had to figure things out with the Lord as he went. See, that's the key. As he went, as they went. It wasn't they sat and came up with this plan, and if it wasn't perfect, they weren't going to do it. Or if it didn't work out this way, well, I'm done with that. You know, sometimes it takes five or six times to stand up and arise and try something again and try something again. Don't ever fail once and be like, well, that wasn't it. We're moving on. Well, if God said it, see, now it's different if you said it, but now if God said it, if God spoke it to you, then you better continue walking in the way because he's got something for you. But the blessings of God are not following those that are sitting around talking or sitting around thinking all day, or the ones that are sitting around posting nice little quotes and things. The blessings of God don't follow those that are waiting around for everything to feel safe before they do anything. Ooh, I'm gonna make sure that's it's gonna be safe to do that. See, I had a lot of people give me advice like that. Ooh, don't do that because you don't have a this and you don't have of that. And I don't think you should, and I don't think that now I believe don't do anything, everything just willy-nilly. But if you're doing things with the Lord, there's strategic steps that you're going to take. Okay. Safe. What's that? That's what my wife said. Yeah, our advice to others sometimes is ours too. And that and that's true. And look, and and sometimes we give advice to people based off of the veils that we have worn over our face, the the the disappointments, uh, the worries, the doubts, the fears, all the things that we have. Well, I can tell you that didn't work out real well for me. I mean, you can discourage somebody quick. We don't need to be discouraging people. All right, but stop waiting for everything to feel safe. The blessings of God follow movement, follows obedience, follows faith in him and what he has said, and follows action. If you are moving and taking action and you're being obedient and stepping out in faith, the blessings of God follow those movements. If you want to know the secret key, that's the secret recipe to walking out this life, that's the way you've got to move. Faith, have a good day, my friend. I know you gotta go do what you gotta go do. Thanks for jumping in. So let's let's look at some key principles based upon this this morning. God gives assignments. God gives assignments. Roy and Vanessa, good morning. Freebird, good morning, David, good morning. Good morning, everyone who is jumping in. Miss Boomaloom, good morning to you. Thank you for that. Heart me jumping in this morning. Welcome in, y'all. But God gives us assignments, but we are the ones that have to respond to what he said. God speaks, he prompts you to do something, God begins to deal with your heart in the matter of it, and then God begins to open doors. God puts something right in front of you. He does all of these things. Then after he speaks, though, and after he does those things, there comes this moment when you have to move. There comes a moment in your life when you have to step out and you have to move. Faith is not just hearing from God, faith is moving on what God has spoken. And you have to arise and you have to do that. James 2 and 17. James 2 and 17 says, faith by itself, if it does not have works, it is unalive. It has no life to it. You can say all day long that you believe God. You can say all day long that you trust Him. You can stand here or sit here and say all day long that you are, I'm waiting on the Lord. Oh, I'm waiting on the Lord. I'm gonna wait. You can turn that song on repeat. I'm gonna wait on you. I'm gonna wait on you. You can play that all day long. But at some point, your movement has to prove your belief in what he has said. Because real faith comes when you move. Real faith comes to you when you're when you're moving. Okay. Let's look at this. If you refuse to move, God can and he will raise up someone else. I I'm I wish there was another way for me to put this. I wish there was a less harsh way for me to put this. But I'm telling you, God's will is bigger than your yes. What he needs done is bigger than your yes, but your yes determines whether or not you get to be a part of it. All right, this is one of the hardest truths to talk about. You know, we think, well, if God's called me, well, then he'll just, you know, he'll just keep waiting. You know, if he's called me to it, he's he's a, you know, he now he is a gentleman to a point. He is not gonna shove you or push you into anything. He's a gentleman in that regard, but he's not a gentleman enough where he's just gonna stand over in the corner and continue to wait because you are the solution to a problem somewhere. And he's like, You're gonna determine how long or short this takes. All right. And if you prolong this thing, you're gonna miss that season. All right. There's time, God is gonna give you a window of time to step in. He's gonna be gracious in the process, all right. He's gonna give you a moment to gather yourself, all right, and there's times that God will put an assignment in your hand that expects obedience. And if you keep playing around with it and you keep talking about it, you're delaying it, you're making excuses as to why you can't do it, or you just you set it down and you run away from it, or heaven forbid, we over-spiritualize everything that's with it and their fear that goes with it. Well, well, guess what? You're gonna find that what God has placed in your hands is now gonna be flourishing in somebody else's. How do we know God has called us to do? How do you know that God has called you to do something? He has spoken it to you in your prayer and prayer personal time with him. He has showed you places in the word where you currently are and where you're walking life out right now. And somebody, the Lord will speak something to you. I mean, there's so many different ways how you can hear his voice. But but one of the things is he'll begin to speak things to you, and then all of a sudden somebody will be like, you know what, I was praying for you. And have you ever thought about starting a this, that, or the other? Have you ever thought about, and you're like, my gosh, the God has been dealing with me about that. That is a confirmation now by what God has said. And the closer you walk with the Lord, the better you hear his voice. Miss Boomaloom, thank you for all of those. Joshua speaks this morning. TT does some crazy things this morning. I appreciate that. But here's and you often overthink things. Okay, Jessica, you said and that's the thing the closer you walk with him, the better you hear his voice. All right. And then the more you walk with him and the more you trust him, the less overthinking you do about things, and the more you just take action and do these things. Okay. There's different keys here. But the closer you walk with him, the better you hear from him, the more you step out in faith, the more he entrusts with you to do. All right, it doesn't get easy. The task then get they continue to get a little more complex every time. But if you're trusting God, if you're if you're believing God for big things, you're gonna have to start with little things and move your way up. Because he's got to make sure that you're gonna, are you gonna step out what I've asked you to do here before I take you, you're believing me for way up here, and you ain't willing to do this. See, he's looking for those that are going to arise and begin to do the things that he's called them to do. But he will place it in somebody else's hands, and then you're gonna begin to see it. Well, their their ministry is this, or, or that business is this, or you know, well, they make, you know, and I stop comparing yourself to other people, number one. Run with what God has placed in your hands. And Esther 4 and 14. For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise from the Jews from another place. Did you hear that? Esther four and fourteen. If you remain silent about this, relief and deliverance is going to arise from the Jews from another place. See, you need to stand up and speak when God says speak. You need to stand up and do when God says do, or you're gonna see it arising from Somewhere else because he's looking for those that are going to take action, not just those that talk the talk. He needs those that are going to walk the walk. And see, here, Mordecai was telling Esther this if you don't do it, God will still do what he said, but he'll do it through someone else. That's very plain here. You need to go back and reference that? Go read Esther 4 and 14. God's plan, God's plan is not hanging in your indecisions. In other words, the plan that he wants to carry out is not hanging in the balance with your life. His plan, then, is hanging. And it'll move right over here. He wants you to pick up what he has spoken to you about. If not, it's gonna move right over here. He's he he will have his way one way or another. Just trying to get our thinking in the right place. All right, biblical thinking helps. Amen. It's like someone else being hired for your job. Yeah. Yeah, it's like somebody else being hired for your job. God created that position for you. He created that thing for you. But you ain't stepping into it. You're not doing it. But it there's this person over here who's been praying and they're ready to go.
SPEAKER_01And he says, I'm gonna take them and I'm gonna place them in over here. And then by the time you're like, I'm ready to oh. Okay, Lord. When it's time to jump in, it's time to jump in.
SPEAKER_00So now that we've gotten that part out of the way, that's a it's a tough one to you know, when you really search out the scriptures and you look at things, I mean it's it's it's it's very serious. We don't we aren't just here to just just breathe and exist. Amen. You got call me to go face my adopted sister sentencing. Yeah, you have a big task to conquer there, Cody. And you're the man for that job. That's why he has opened the door for you to be there to do just that. Amen? And you're one that's stepping in. So he knows you're one that's gonna step into that place and speak rightfully and let his justice come forth. Amen. That's a that's a thing that I know you don't take lightly, my friend, but God has well equipped you to say what needs to be said. Let's look at the next thing, though. Provision is going to meet you in motion. All right, that means moving. Uh my wife said something yesterday. We were having a conversation, Brandy and I. God brings blessings upon those who are stepping out and doing things. In other words, God will help those that know how to move forward. He brings the help once you've stepped out. All right, now that's I mean, that's not a full Bible verse, but there's biblical principles behind this. When you step out in obedience, God is going to meet you there. All right, there's there's too many people who want provision before they move. Lord, if you'll just send me the money, then I will do the things and we'll step right into it. There, I mean, no faith. I mean, just like if you just if you get the money in my hands, then we'll do it. No. There's a lot of people who want who want more confirmations and more confirmations and more confirmations. Well, I heard it, and two people, two people were talking about this week, so I've laid it out here for them. My gosh, how many more confirmations do you need? He's looking for obedience. He's looking for obedience now. Okay, yeah, you needed to throw a fleece out there, and there's the fleece. Oh, okay, you put another fleece out there. There it is. You need another one. No, now he is looking for somebody who is going to be obedient. Okay. There's a lot of people out here who want the entire staircase. They want to see how it goes and how it moves, and if it goes up and down, and if it before they start to move. I can only see the step that's in front of me. Ah. That's okay when you're learning. And yeah, that's okay when you're learning to hear his voice. See, that it's okay. God gives you, but but but when you know better, you do better. If you don't, it's one thing to not know and to do or don't do, but it's another thing to know better and to do anyway. We should know better. As you walk with him, as you walk with him, you're being sharpened to hear his voice. You're more in tune with his voice. He wants those that are going to be in tune. And that's why I say every single day, you need to find time to be in the secret place. If you have not been in the secret place with the Lord today, you need to find time to be in the secret place. You want strategies for your life? Go spend some time with him. You want answers to questions that you have, go spend some time with him in his word. You want to know which direction life is taking you at this point, allow him to drop the blueprints in his presence, spending time with him alone and allowing him to speak to you. Are you willing to be one that does that? It could change your entire life. There's so many things I could help you with on setting goals and building a vision board and putting your business together and all the structures and the things that go along with that. But if you don't have first the foundation of Jesus in your life enough where you're spending time with him, that's where your source of everything comes from. I could point you in the direction of all the others, but if you don't have that, we just did everything in vain. The secret place is where you find the things you're looking for. And the reason so many people have not found what they're looking for is because they're not willing to spend time in his presence. It will change your life. Exodus 14. If I go to Exodus 14 and 15, verse 15, why do you cry to me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward. The sea did not part while they stood there in mere panic. The instruction was to go forward. You want the sea to part? Then you need to tell the children of Israel to go forward. There's a big body of water in your way. Well, you need to speak to that thing and command it to part so you can get across it. There's power in your words, there's power in your action, actions. Now stand up and be who God has called you to be. Then, salah. That's it. Yeah, Sean, we need to get to that point. What mountain? We need to get to that point where it's like, what mountain? There's no mountain here. I spoke to it and it it's it crumbled so hard and leveled out so smooth until you couldn't even tell there was a mountain in front of you. That is the power that you have on the inside of you to be able to speak rightly over your situations and be able to walk out some things and get some things done. You just need somebody to stand here and tell you that today. But it's up to you. I can talk to you till I'm blue in the face and say these things every day. But until you start taking action on your own life, you will be where you always are. You'll be where you're at right now. You'll be where you were a week ago, a month ago, a year ago, 10 years ago. But if you begin to do some different things, you will begin to see some different results. How about you try something different this time? Amen. Ginny, thank you for all of those things and your heart me's and your Joshua speakings and all of those things as you're coming in this morning. Good to see you, my friend. You need to take a step forward. All right, Joshua 3 and 13, the waters began to part when the priest's feet stepped into the Jordan, took a step in, water began to part. Matthew 14 and 29, Peter had to get out of the boat. Peter had to get out of the boat. Provision meets you where obedience begins. There's always action. If you go through these things in the Bible, there was always action before the promise, action before the provision, action before God came through and he moved. You have to do something to get a result. And we see this over and over. There's so many people. I'm just waiting on God. I'm just going to sit right here and I'm going to wait on God. And God is over here saying, Well, I'm actually waiting on you to move. I'm actually waiting on you to make that phone call. I'm actually waiting on you to send that email. I'm actually waiting on you to form that business. I'm actually waiting on you to file your 501c3 paperwork. I'm actually waiting on you to get up and go to the prayer meeting I've been calling you to go to. I'm actually waiting on you to step in to where God has asked you to step in. All the stuff we're talking about this morning hit me like a ton of bricks back last May. This was May of last year. All right. Exactly a year ago.
SPEAKER_01I was standing out back in my comfortable little house.
SPEAKER_00With our comfortable little life. I mean, we're living by faith, okay? We started a business, so there that comes with its own things. But anyway, in the mirror, the sheer look of it all, I'm standing here in the little thing, little house. I mean, it was 2,300 square feet. What I mean is we had it going on. Building the business, doing the things. Yay. And I was I was thanking the Lord for coming through financially. Thank you, Lord. You give us a stay our daily bread. Thank you, Lord. And he said, Yeah. He said, What about what about what I've asked you to do on social media? And I'm like, because I was, I was, I didn't, I come up with all the excuses. I overthought everything. I didn't want to build anything that looked like I was trying to promote my own thing, and because I'm just like, there's enough of that. There's enough of man's kingdoms out here and man's, you know, look on things. And I'm like, I don't want it to look like that. Like I'm trying to self-promote and do all these things. I had my own insecurities about it. And I was just like, Lord, you know how I feel about that? He said, Well, if you don't do what I'm asking you to do on social media, I'm going to pass the assignment to someone else.
SPEAKER_01This is exactly a year ago. And that hit me in that moment.
SPEAKER_00And you know what? Something, something triggered on the inside of me of I don't want anyone else to be walking out what you've called me to walk out, Lord. I'm gonna be, I mean, I was gonna be 41 last year. I'm like, I'm in my 40s. I don't want to, I've come too far to not do what you've asked me to do, God. I've come too far. So what is it, Lord? What does it look like? So I started, I started looking. I I had a TikTok account, but I didn't do anything with it. You know, especially, you know, people you hang out with, you're like, ooh, TT. Don't get on that app now. Anyone hear those same things? My God, someone here, my wife said. I was on the other social mediums and I would put a little thing out here and there, maybe. So I just started shooting videos. Hey, I started looking up. What does everybody do when you get on when you get on TikTok? You're starting, well, what are these people doing? And I tried some little trendy things and some of this and that. And then, you know, I started doing the talking head thing where I'm like, well, maybe I can just encourage people. So I just started encouraging people, you know, and it was, you know, and then I came across this whole live thing and Brazzle Dazzle. And and Amanda sort of just, you know, we we were able to connect with her, and then Ryan, who comes on at night, you know, prayer with Ryan and worship late at night. And then I come across uh Wayne Giles, is who Amanda asked me to get with. You should start going live. Going live on TikTok. Okay. My first live was rough. I wish I could go back. I mean, it was me, awful background, and I was like, hey, so let's uh let's talk about uh I mean I didn't have much of a plan. And when I'm my my wife, she's so sweet. She said, you was not. I mean, I had a plan of what we were gonna go through, but it felt very awkward. I didn't know. I'm like, do I talk to the people who were in the thing down here? Do I like and there was just all kinds of weird folks coming in here asking all kinds of like, is this what this is like? Because I don't know what is going on right now. So the first live, me and all three of the people that were there, and one of those was Brandy. We just had a rip-roaring good time trying to figure out how to how to block folks. It was uh it was very interesting. But then I just continued again, and then I started watching other lives and I started learning how to do things, and I started trying to figure this out, and then I started doing my research and my homework, and then I would learn things and I would do things, and I would learn things and I would do things. All right. And then a year from then, now I haven't been going live a year. I went like the whole month of May last year just posting content. It wasn't until the end of June. I think June 28th is the first time I ever went live, and it was at night. I didn't start the morning charge about mid-July, so we still got a few weeks left to go there. But but a year later, after God spoke, hey, get on social media. Here we are doing the morning charge five days a week. Right now, Brandy and I are building out Branjo Collective, which we'll have more of that coming up as we continue to do that. The morning charge, I mean the the shirts and the coffee mugs and all of those things. We've got all that in the works right now because you guys kept messaging me and telling me you wanted that. So I worked on it. You know, Brandy and I are putting together some other things. We got another podcast that we're putting our heads together on. You know, we want to we want to start some mentor classes and things coming up for those that are really serious that we can actually walk closely with and we can help you, you know, walk out life as a as a family, walk out life as a business owner, walk out life as the the pastor or who or the evangelist or whatever God has called you to do. We we've got all of these things now that are beginning to churn and they're beginning to go. And and now we've got fire and water ministries, which is now coming up, and and it's allowing us to travel and it's allowing to minister uh across America as God wants to send us. And we're just allowing him to open the doors. There's nothing forced about anything Brandy and I do. We're just allowing God to lead us as we go. And there's so many of you that I have seen jump in here as, hey, I started that business, or hey, I finally stepped out and answered the call that God had for me, or hey, I'm seeing breakthrough in my marriage. And hey, I'm starting to see the fruit. If I had said no a year ago again, God would have passed it to someone else. I probably wouldn't know that person, wouldn't know anything about it. But I feel like the Lord would have left me alone completely about it and left me to what I was doing. Because he's like, listen, if you, you know, you won't keep doing what you're doing, I love you enough. As a son, I'll let you keep doing what you're doing. And he does. He loves me enough. His love for me is not based on whether I'm doing this or I'm not. Okay, but but he loves me enough to continue to remind me that I have something better for you. Are you willing to step out in faith and do the better thing? Because I'm gonna love you regardless. But I have such a better life for you. I have a better life for you. I have a better way for you. I have something more fulfilling for you if you're willing to walk this out with me. See, that's that's where we're missing it. And a lot of us are basing his love for us on what we're doing. No, no, no. His love for us and his salvation, what Jesus did on the cross, has nothing to do with how hard we can work. It's not a work-based thing. Oh my gosh. That's where I started these lives was in our master bedroom closet. And I had to angle it in such a way to where it was the door. Y'all remember I used to sit at my desk and I had the door and the wall, but you couldn't see the rack of clothes. I think I bumped that thing. Or I think I might maybe I turned it around. I was like, here's what y'all are really, you know, here's where we're really at. I mean, because I'm a real transparent dude. You guys know I'm in an RV right now. But thanks by way of virtual backgrounds, we can do some cool things. And I'm finally learning some of that. So there you go. Trying to give you something a little different to look at. If you got to start your business in your master bedroom closet, and you know the reason I was in the master bedroom closet, it was the place that was out of the way. So, I mean, you have to come through the bedroom, through the bathroom, into the closet. So it was like, you know, it was like a triple, you know, the kids would not really run in there to now, as I started doing more work in there, they'd know where to find me. But but you, but you have to start somewhere. I mean, staying up late to work on things, to get up early to be on here to do what God has asked me to do. And then, and then still balancing family life with trying to figure this out to walking with you, Lord, and He gives you grace for the season. He gives you grace for where you're at. If I had not stepped out, we wouldn't be here doing any of this. If I hadn't stepped out, there would be no morning charge. Or maybe there would be. Maybe somebody would be doing it. I have no idea. Yeah, we have homeschool. Yeah, we homeschool our kids. I mean, we're running our cleaning business. I mean, we were we were in, I mean, really, I mean, we were in a ministry role, you know, with with all the things we had going on down there in uh in Pensacola. So we, I mean, it's not like I needed something else. I'm looking for something to do. Rarely will God find you in those moments when you're just looking for something to do. All right, he's gonna find you in those moments when you're like, is this what you was this is what you want me to do? But he's looking at your yes, and he's looking to see what you're willing to do. Some of what you're praying for is sitting on the other side of your obedience. You've said yes, but some of what you're praying for is on the other side of your obedience. If you if you remain disobedient and not saying yes, then you are keeping somebody from a solution that God wants to bring to them. Because remember, what God calls you to is rarely has anything to do with you. Because remember, God doesn't call the this is not a Bible verse, but it's a biblical principles. God doesn't call the qualified, he qualifies the called. I didn't know much about any of this. I've worked in broadcasting for 23 years, so I kind of know a little bit about cameras and mics and this and that, and you know. But as far as like putting all this together, eh, social media is a different beast. If you remain disobedient, then you're keeping somebody from the solution that God is wanting to bring to them. This has nothing to do with you. I was trying to make it all about me when I first started this. Well, I don't want it to look like this, and I don't want to do that, and I, I, I, I, I. God said, This ain't about Josh. He said, This is about me accomplishing things in other people's lives. And that's why I've asked you to do this. And I want to steward that well. I now I don't take that lightly. Because there's what, 254 of us on here right now. I mean, that's you guys have chosen to jump in here with me. That means that he has entrusted you into my hands during this time. What I say, what I think, what I believe, and how I perceive. I'm very cautious about all of that because everything that I say, I want it to be filtered through the word of God. There is a lot of voices out here on social media that do not take the time to filter this. They're spatting off a whole bunch of whatever, and people are taking it as golden, and they're running with it, and then they're wondering why their life didn't what's going on here. I know some people that that were in on uh some people's uh uh uh TT lives, and it wound up being a very abusive thing. This voice was like in deliverance and stuff like that. People wind up going through their boot camp or whatever. You know, I don't know the full story. I just know enough to know that there was a lot of abuse and things that came out of that. The person was going based off a false name and they were moving all over and they were causing havoc in people. I'm telling you what, the enemy is hard at work to try to get believers off track. Okay. Be careful the voices you listen to. Be careful of those that you're following and you're running after. All right, let this be a day that you go through and make sure that who you're following is standing up for Jesus and saying Jesus is the only way to the Lord, because that's the truth. Jesus is the only way, he was our mediator that came. There is no way to the Father except through Jesus. Anyone saying anything other than that? Well, that person was standing. Well, yeah. And there's a lot of people who are saying Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, but we have that scripture that says not everybody that says Lord, Lord, is going to enter into the kingdom. There's a reason the word tells us that. Not everybody saying the name of Jesus and talking about the Lord is truly wholeheartedly for Jesus and the Lord. Amen. That's today's morning charge. Before you move on with your day, take a moment and let what you've heard settle into your heart. Faith isn't just something we talk about, it's something we live out in the ordinary moments of everyday life. Wherever today takes you, remember this: you don't walk into it alone. God is already ahead of you, working in ways you may not even see yet. Stand firm, walk in wisdom, lead with love, and don't forget who you belong to. Until next time, keep your heart anchored, keep your faith strong, and keep living out real talk, real Jesus, real life. We'll see you on the next morning charge.
