God Is a God of Order: What That Means for Your Life
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
On today’s episode of The Morning Charge, Joshua talks about why order matters in the life of a believer and how disorder can quietly steal peace, clarity, focus, and momentum. God is not the author of confusion, and when we allow Him to bring our homes, schedules, finances, relationships, and priorities back into alignment, we create room for peace and fruitfulness.
This episode is a practical discipleship conversation for anyone who feels scattered, overwhelmed, cluttered, or out of rhythm. Joshua teaches how biblical order is not bondage. It is the framework that supports freedom, stewardship, purpose, and the life God has called us to live.
Key takeaways from this episode:
- God is not the author of confusion, but of peace.
- Disorder can cost us time, clarity, energy, focus, finances, and momentum.
- Peace often increases when life comes back into proper order.
- God often brings order before He brings increase.
- Biblical order does not restrict purpose; it supports it.

Real Talk. Real Jesus. Real Life.
Welcome to the Morning Charge. This is your moment to slow down, breathe, and get your spirit aligned before stepping into the day ahead. Life moves fast, responsibilities pile up, voices compete for your attention. But before the noise of the world takes over, this is where we come back to what actually matters. This is a place for honest conversations about faith, life, purpose, and everyday battles we all face. No pretending, no religious performance, just the truth. Because following Jesus was never meant to be complicated. It was meant to be real. So whether you're driving to work, you're getting the kids ready, or simply taking a quiet moment for yourself, you're in the right place. This is real talk, real Jesus, real life. This is the morning charge. Father, I just thank you, Lord, for what you're doing, Lord. Not just, not just here on the morning charge, but God, for what you're doing in the lives of those, Father, that we are connected to, Father. The way that you're moving, the way that you're the way that you're pulling down strongholds, the way that you're bringing deliverance, Lord, to people's lives, Father. The way that you're bringing restorations to marriages and families, God, Lord, and friendships, Lord, Father, the way that you are bringing forth financial breakthrough in people's lives, God. Father, Lord, the way that you're bringing miraculous healings to people, God. Father, we give you honor. We give you glory. We give you praise here in this place for all of the things that you're doing in our lives, God. Lord, but more importantly than just the things that you do, we thank you for the love. We thank you for the grace. We thank you for the mercy that you have given us today. We just thank you for being a good, good father. We thank you, Lord, for supplying every need. We just thank you for your goodness. We thank you for who you are. Lord, continue to restore the identity in people who need an identity restoration. They need an identity rescue out of what they thought they were or what the world tried to put on them. Lord, I pray for those that are struggling with identity today to know who they are. Father, will you will you draw them near to you today? And may their identity be fully restored in them and revived and refired today in the name of Jesus.
SPEAKER_01Amen.
SPEAKER_00Amen, y'all. All right. Pull up my notes here. So we've kind of been in that place lately where we're talking about surrender and what it means to surrender and how his goodness runs after us with a life laid down and being surrendered to him. Yesterday we talked about what happens after you surrender because that's the most important thing, is what's happening after surrender. Today I want to talk about how he is a God of order. All right, because there's listen, there's there's a lot of people who are this year I'll be you'll be in the USA. This year you will be in the okay, well, we stand on that with you, Brother Atlan. This year will be a year that you'll be in the USA in the name of Jesus. God, make a way. You are tugging at our brother and you are calling him here. So, Father, I just say, Lord, make a way for him to come to America in 2026 right now in the name of Jesus. Brother, it would be great to have you here and to actually see you in person. Amen. We love Brother Atlan. If you don't know our brother, y'all make sure to get to know our brother. And just so you know, I got a report yesterday from Wayne with Lost and Found Ministries with the with the Dollary Dues or the cabbage, whatever you want to say, TT language here, that you guys were able to uh bring forth here and the the morning jam with Cooper, we were able to bring in, I forget what it converted into in Zambia dollars. It's like uh 2,200 and something Zambia, whatever you guys have over there. I did not do my homework on that part, but I'm hoping that goes forward and is able to help you guys carry forth what God has placed on your heart. So if there's anybody that was able to help in that regard over the last little bit, there you go. It's now going to be put to hard work. And once again, when you do that, you go with Brother Adland and you go forward in the vision because you came and you partnered together with them to help bring a dry place for them. Because the rainy season there is a lot different than the rainy season over here in the old Western world of America. Trust me on that. When it rains, it rains for months over there. Little different. They when they need a dry place, they need a dry place. So thank you to everybody who was able to help in that regard. Brother Atlanta, go forward and continue to do God's work, my brother. We love you, man. Amen. All right, y'all. Let's dive in. I think I saw Apostle Kelly sneaking in the room this morning. Good morning to you. I know I'm in and out of the chat. So I apologize for that. If you're new, just know I'm gonna be in and I'm gonna be out because I'm listening to the Holy Spirit while I'm teaching and I try to catch what I can catch. So I ain't ignoring nobody. I uh I just I just I'm in it to win it with God when it's those moments. Josh, good morning to you. Welcome and good to see you this morning. All right. All right, here we go. All right, we're jumping in. Well, now we're jumping in. All right. So there's a lot of people out here who are praying for peace. You are praying for, you're praying for strength, you're praying for change in your life, but but but but you still have disorder in your life. All right, so we that's what I want to talk about today. There's uh and this goes along with the whole surrender thing that we've been talking about, the goodness of God, how it is, how it is chasing after us, his goodness and his love and his mercy. Those things are chasing after us, but it's hard to see any of those things. If we're living a life of disorder, if we're living a life where we have not fully surrendered to God, all right. You you want you want a more clear line, a clear mind. You've been walking around with this brain fog thing. You want a clear mind as you're going, but yet you have cluttered all over. And that could be clutter on the outside and clutter on the inside. Remember, we talked about yesterday. You need to get rid of some stuff, get rid of some stuff. Don't hold on to things because I may need it one day. All right. If it's been sitting there for over a year, you don't need it one day. All right. What day are you waiting on? There's somebody that needs that thing more than you do. So find out who that person is and then bless somebody today. Make a room and make space so God can then drop what it is you really need right now. Because you praying for some things and you ain't seen those things. Maybe you're holding on to a bunch of things you need to get rid of. Hey, I'm just encouraging all of us this morning. Hello? You want rest and you want to feel rested, but you're living a life that is go, go, go and rush, rush, rush. As soon as you get up in the morning, you are gone to the races and you're doing 50 million things today, and then you get home tired, and then you're wondering why, why do I feel so tired? Because you're doing a whole bunch of good things. You need to narrow down the God things in your life. All right. You want fruit. Lord, Josh, Josh, you've been talking about how how we're known by our fruit. That's get the junk out of the trunk. That's what Paul said. I saw that one in the comments. Get that junk out of that trunk. You need to clear out some space, my brother. You want fruit in your life, but you are so scattered. I mean, until you can't even stay rooted and grounded, and you're blown from to and fro. Guess what? Fruit grows on a mature tree. But if you're one that you're getting offended, you're uprooting and you're going over here. It's almost like your roots are just crawling around on the ground and you're just going from place to place and time to time and over to over. You need to find a place to get rooted and grounded in Him so fruit can begin to spring forth on your tree and stop being so scattered in your life. Maybe there's some hurts and wounds and pains you need to deal with. All right, you want God to bless what you have, but you're not willing to walk forward in a life that is orderly, a life that's in order, a life that is lived according to the word of God, a life that is fully surrendered to God. See, order is something that is it is necessary for your life because he is a God of order. And we're going to look at those things this morning because God, God does not move in confusion, he will not move in chaos, he will not move in disorder. And a lot of people have learned to live life and just and just and there's lots of confusion and there's lots of chaos and there's lots of disorder, and you're crying out to God and you're wondering why things don't change, and you're wondering why things haven't happened for you the way that they should have.
SPEAKER_01You gotta get some things in order.
SPEAKER_00If you're gonna build if we're gonna build our lives and our our our homes and our our families and our businesses and our our ministries, if we're gonna build all of those things in a way that reflect the kingdom, then that means that order has got to be at the forefront of everything that we do. There has to be a plan. You have to be willing to walk things out the way that God said. You have to be willing for those plans to kind of bend and mold as you walk with God. You don't set things so in much in stone. It's so ordered that God can't move in the middle of it. See, for every mile of road, there's two miles of ditch. Say that all the time. You need to get on the middle of the road. All right, you need to have a plan. He needs to order your steps. You gotta be willing for this plan to be malleable enough and flexible enough that you're gonna be able to move with him. So, so let's talk about this. How order is a very order is a very uh kingdom-minded thing. Order is not just something that we just, you know, everything should be in order. No, no, order is living a kingdom lifestyle. All right, there's a lot of people that think that order is just uh for people who know how to be structured. Oh, there's some people with that with that type of personality. They just know how to structure things and do things. You you think people are just some people are organized, some people are not organized. And now, while it is true that some people are better organized than others, it is really a learned thing. For anyone, doesn't matter your type of personality, doesn't matter who you are, it don't matter the background you came from, okay, order is something that you have to really step into and to learn how to be organized. You've got to learn how to be organized, and it comes with consistency every single day. Walking with God. Some people feel like there's a lot of people that are more structured, and some people are more free. And while you do have your different personalities and things, all of us are called to get into the word of God. So whether you're naturally a structured person or you're more of a carefree person, it doesn't matter who you are. You've got to be disciplined and orderly enough to get in your word every single day, to pray to the Lord every single day, to be one that walks with Jesus every single day. We're all called to do that. Order in your life, it reflects alignment in your life. It shows that you are aligned with God. And see, once again, the your fruit is going to be known in this season. Okay. Order is going to reflect the alignment that you have. It's going to reflect the stewardship that you take things seriously, the things God has given you. Your marriage, steward that well. Your finances, steward that well, your parenting, steward that well. Your business owner or a business leader, steward that well. Okay. You're in ministry. God has entrusted you with a ministry, steward that well. Your stewardship is going to be known by the fruit that your tree is bearing. All right. Order is going to show maturity in your life. It's going to show wisdom in your life. When you open your mouth and you begin to speak, the fruit of your words are going to be known immediately by those that you're speaking to. Disorderly fruit, that's rotten fruit. If you have the fruit of disorder, it's going to show that you're distracting. Listen, and I've been here, that's why I wrote this stuff down, because I know what it looks like. I know, and then this could be a day-to-day thing. What kind of fruit your tree producing today? Because there's a lot of times in my life where a lot of days where the fruit looks, there's a lot of confusion there, there's a lot of distraction there. My priorities are out of whack. I lack of discipline, maybe, lack of stewardship, neglect of the things that God really wants you to be doing. All of that, that is what disorder looks like. And there's been times, have you been having a conversation with somebody? And all you can think about is this problem or this thing or this, like you're so caught up in your issues and things, the person that you're talking to, you're not even really giving them the time of day. All right. And a lot of times that person can be your spouse, which is another conversation for another day. All right, get your priorities back in order. Be presently present wherever you are. And we all have to be conscious of this every day. This is not like a learned thing and you get it and you're gonna be that way every time. No, this is a you have to be consciously conscious of this in the moment, every single moment that that occurs. So if you say, I'm gonna meet with this person at one o'clock, then today, one o'clock, that's what you do. You're meeting with that person. You're gonna sit down and have a conversation with your wife, you're sitting down and having a conversation with your wife or your husband, whoever, whatever your whoever your spouse is, okay. On the flip side of these things, though, knowing what order reflects and what disorder reflects, all right, you can see the fruit of both. Not every room that is cluttered is a demon. I'm going somewhere with this, okay? Not every busy season where you are where you've got a ton of things going on, but it's the things that God wants you to do, and God is helping you strategize. Not every busy season means that you're out of God's will. But when disorder becomes a lifestyle, though, and that messy room, there's going to be times, you know how many kids we have? I mean, Brandy could come through here and clean. I mean, we're in 300 square feet. She goes through and she cleans. It could be a matter of 10 minutes if they come running on inside, that all that was just clean could be dirty again. All right. That doesn't mean there's a demon living in here and it's spreading trash around everywhere. That means we have six children. And we're doing the full-time RV thing right now. Okay? So you have to understand that if Brandy never cleaned, I never picked up, we never cleaned the RV at all, and we just lived in trash and filth, that is a problem. When your disorder becomes your lifestyle, that is the problem. There's something else that is going on in your life. It is reflecting something that is wrong on the inside of you when you choose to sit around in that all day. All right. And it will become, and it will, it will become an issue so much that it will begin to affect everything. When one area of disorder comes to your life, and I'm just using that as an example, then it's going to begin to pop up in other areas. If you don't deal with it, if you don't bring things before the Lord, all right, you're going to have busy seasons and you're going to have a messy house from time to time. Don't let your moments become your days, because if it becomes your days, there's a much bigger issue. And when you sit in a house like that, I'm just saying, when you allow a dis when you allow disorder to become a lifestyle and you're sitting around in that all day, it begins to, it affects your mind. It affects your entire household. Eventually it's going to affect your marriage. It's going to affect your children. It's going to affect your business or your ministry or your or your finances. Uh, it's going to affect your prayer life, your ability to hear God clearly, all because there is disorder that you're allowing to hang out. Yeah, you're in your brain, the mind is the thing that the enemy comes and plays tricks on. He can bring disorder to this faster than he can anything else. If he can bring disorder to this while you're not living an ordered life before the Lord, you're gonna he doesn't have to the enemy has no power, by the way. We wait, woo, he's got a lot of power. No, he doesn't. The only thing he has is a voice in your ear to get to your mind to make you step forward and do some things you shouldn't do or live a life that you shouldn't be living. The enemy is powerless. The enemy may be all around me, but I'm running free because he set me free. Yeah, the enemy might be out there, and yeah, the enemy's gonna do all he can to try to nya in your ear. Hello? He has no power. You're the one that gives life to the junk that he is speaking to you about. So stop listening to that mess and say, go on, you are under my feet. I'm covered by the blood of Jesus. What do you think you're doing? And you stand up and take authority with your words. Hello? Yes, it is that simple. This is a simple gospel. We've made things so hard, like if you stand on one foot and you wiggle this, this right here and turn this three times, and you then you shout, the enemy leaves. No, you tell him right now where he needs to go. Get out of my life, stop nyan-yang in my ear. I am living this life according to the way Jesus wants me to live it, and you ain't got no place here. So go on. The end. That don't mean he's going not going to try to knock on the door tomorrow. All right, once again, but if you've put on the whole armor today and you have denied yourself, taken up your cross daily, and followed him, bada bing, bada bam, life's gonna go a little bit differently for you today. So let's deal with disorder for goodness sakes. God is a God of order. This is where we start. We've already been through the book. Hello, if you want to know where this begins, in 1 Corinthians, if you shall remember. 1 Corinthians chapter 14. In chapter 14 and 32, let's start in 32. It's primarily 33 on, but I'm going here. All right, so 1 Corinthians 14, 32. Keep in mind that the anointing to prophesy doesn't mean that the speaker's out of control. He can wait his turn. For God is the God of harmony and not confusion. Now, here particularly, we we're specifically talking about order and the order in the church, all right, and guidelines for using the gifts that God gave to each of us. But specifically in 33, for God is the God of harmony, not confusion. In New King James, for God is not the author of confusion, but of peace. He is the author of peace. Not confusion. All right, and then you just you begin to read on, and then in 1 Corinthians 14 and 40 at the end here, let all things be done decently and in order. All right, the passion says, doing all things in a beautiful and orderly way. We have to bring order respectably everything we do, the way that we live our lives. Yes, this specifically was showing the proper use of the gifts, the guidelines for using the gifts. But if you want to live an or a life that is orderly, that means if you don't have any order, you are living in instability, if you will. All right, because this uh this is not Paul gave us lots of different advice about lots of different things. It's not just talking about church services, okay? This is revealing the true nature of God. If he is mentioning it here, then to me that shows the true nature of God in our lives. We have got to do things orderly, things must be done decently and in order. He's not the author of confusion, but he is the but he is of peace. He's not the author of chaos. If confusion is ruling your life, if you are confused about different things, if confusion is ruling your life, that is not coming from the Lord. Well, why why is he why is he doing this to me? Why is he? We have to be careful with those words. He is not the author of confusion, he is not the one that is giving you this brain fog and and making things confusing. All right. That is the enemy at work somewhere in your life. You need to find that and deal with that and remind him where his place is, which is under your feet. Where God governs, order will begin to increase. So if you've truly made him the God of your life, remember? I mean, we we want Jesus to be our savior. Oh, but to make him Lord, oh, he wants to be Lord and Savior of your life. We forget the Lord part, we just do the savior part. Yeah, he saved you, but now he wants to be your guide. We think Lord, oh, he's got this No, no, no. He has a better way for you. And if you just listen to His ways and you'll learn His Word and you begin to walk in His ways, you will experience more freedom than you've ever had in your whole entire life. A lot of people look at this as just a whole book of rules. There's a whole book of Rules. It's if I don't, if I do this, then I don't. Well, number one, you don't understand the law and how Jesus came to fulfill the law. There's no way that we can humanly possibly follow every bit of these Jewish commands of the law. Okay. There's no way that you can try to be perfect enough to not stumble through all of that. All right. There's 140 something of them, 46, 42, 140-something laws. I mean, you can't uphold all of those. Jesus came to fulfill it. How? Because he became your savior. He knows you can't possibly fulfill all of that. But he gave you a different way. Stop trying to be perfect. Follow me. I am the way to holiness. The blood of Jesus does more than we could ever think or imagine, Amanda. Absolutely. 100%. Do we realize the power of the blood of Jesus and what he did when he shed it for us? And when you just sit and you think about the power, I mean, it's hard for your brain to wrap around that somebody loved you that much. That's what they did for you.
SPEAKER_01But that's what he did for you.
SPEAKER_00Where God governs, order begins to increase. See, the kingdom of God has order in place. All of creation has order. You notice it's orderly. If this universe was disorderly, we would be in a mess. And mind you, what God spoke, it happened. That's the importance of your words, what you're speaking. If you're spouting off a whole bunch of confusion and lies and and a bunch of uh idle words that you don't even really mean. The Bible says, be angry and sin not. Unfortunately, lots of times we're angry and we start speaking. Anger is an emotion, and it's a real thing that you can go through, and you can feel pain and anger and agony and all kinds of different things. But sin not. In other words, keep your mouth shut because there's nothing you can say in that moment that's going to help anybody, especially yourself. And the things that you speak, you give life to. These are the laws of our life, y'all. I'm just saying. But creation has order in it because he spoke it in an orderly way. The human body, think about our human body, how it has order to it. God designed every bit of this. He did. Some of you might be walking through a season where part of it may not be functioning the way that it needs to function, but that's when you arise in faith and we believe in healing, that whatever is going on is going to begin to line up according to the word of God, where Jesus said, by my stripes you're healed. But just think about this: the heart, the lungs, the arms, the legs, every bit of this was designed by God Himself. Seed time and harvest. There's order in that. Day and night. There is order in day and night. There's a function for both. The family structure has order to it. A mother and a father, the children. There's order to the how the family structure was designed. God does not build things in a sloppy manner. He does not put things together and slap it together. It is structured and engineered to work exactly as it is designed. He is a God of order. He wants our lives to be ordered. What he created here, he wants us to line up with what was created here and what was created here. What was done there when Jesus went to the cross, there was order in that. Did he want to go through that? No. Who would want to go through that much pain and torment and agony? But he did it because he knew he had to for us. Brandy said we need to be asking the Holy Spirit, what is the order in everything? What is the order in everything? And by the way, that's my wife. And if you don't know Brandy, you need to get to know Brandy. So show her some love this morning. Amen. I love you, dear. And that's that you know, that's a big thing on mine and Brandy's hearts. Teaching couples how to how to work together and walk together. Teaching mothers and fathers how to partner together in raising their children. And do Brandy and I have it all together perfectly? No. But we have learned kingdom principles. We are not perfect, but we keep our sights on Jesus. We teach our children how to keep their sights on Jesus, and that is what makes a difference in our marriage. That is what makes a difference in how we parent our children. That is what makes a difference in giving them a safe place to learn who they are and whose they are. And I see it in the questions that they ask. When your children begin to ask questions about the Lord and they ask questions about Jesus, don't sit there and play like you're perfect and you know all the answers. Usually I go, hmm, it's an interesting question. We probably need to look that up though. And that's okay. Spend a moment, be present in the moment. We're talking about God's the God of order. Be present in the moment and just be real with them. Yeah, Sean, just be real with them. And say, let's go search this out together. It's a real interesting question you brought there. Don't just make up a whole bunch of stuff to get them off your back. I've been guilty of that before. Well, you know, it's probably this, this, and that. And I'm busy and I got things going on. That's the that's the what you give them. We have to be careful. Let's take like five minutes and look this up. You got five minutes? Surely you got five minutes. I mean, everybody should have five minutes somewhere. If we're so busy we ain't got five minutes, we are doing way too much. It's not all in the qu in the in the quantity of life, but it is in the quality of life where things begin to shift and things begin to happen.
SPEAKER_01Disorder. Disorder is expensive. What? Disorder is expensive.
SPEAKER_00Well, how? Well, a lot of believers underestimate how costly disorder really is. I'm going to give you some things you've probably never thought of, maybe you have, but you may not have thought of. A lot of believers is no big deal. You know, it's just the way life is. It's just as busy. It's just, you know, it's just the way it looks at. Or this is the way that the life just is the way it goes. When you have children, you know, this is the way it is. And this is the way I don't know where we came up with that. No, this is not the way it should be. No, this is just not the way it goes. We're just trying to look for an excuse to not deal with the issues. So stop saying this is all this is the way, you know, when you have kids, husband, wife, and you know, job. No, it's just not the way it is. Here's what disorder will cost you. All right. It'll cost you time. Disorder costs you peace. It costs you your focus on the important things. It'll cost you your energy because you're spending all your energy on the unimportant things. It's going to cost you uh uh finances, it's gonna cost you dollar redues, some cabbage, because maybe you're not putting it where you should be putting it, or you're not making it how you should be making it. All right. It's a currency. It should be a current, a current flows. All right, maybe you've been never been taught good principles with that. Could be costing you a lot. Disorder will cost you momentum in doing things that are important to God's heart and what he has for your life. Disorder costs you clarity, seeing clearly, thinking clearly, because all you are is you're focused on every distraction you have instead of what's important. When everything is in disarray and it's disorderly, it costs you all of those things. And the number one thing there is time. You don't get time back. It's uh 8.22 a.m. Central Standard Time or Central Daylight Time, where I am right now. In a minute, it's going to be 8.23. I'll never get 8.22 again. Not on May the 13th of 2026. Now, enough of those minutes goes by, you just see life beginning to shuffle. Your life is so focused on building that big career or doing this big thing or that thing till all those camping trips you wanted to take with your boys you never did. You couldn't find a night and a day because you ain't got to go for a whole week. A lot of things we're like, we're gonna plan a whole week trip. Your kids don't really care. If it's a one-night camping trip and you hike all the next day and go home, praise God, they will talk about that more than the birthday gift or the or the or the Christmas GIFT that you gave them 10 years ago. I could ask my children, and I might do that after this. I could probably ask them, do you remember what you got for Christmas two years ago? It's most likely going to be crickets. But I say, what's the funnest thing you've done so far this year? If I ask my boys that, I guarantee you they're gonna tell me when we went camping and hiking a few months ago. They do not remember the stuff. They will always remember the things you did with them. And as my wife said, that's why we don't buy them a bunch of GIFTSs. That plastic is made in such a way that even when it makes it to the trash can within six to eight months after purchasing it, it's not going to decompose in the landfill. Now we're ruining the world. But when we went camping and all we left was our footprints there next to the river, they remember that. There's a lot of things to think about here this morning. Lots and lots of things to think about. Amen.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00Kendra, good morning to you, friend. Order is orchestrated by heaven. It shows why alignment is important. That's why you have to live a life that is aligned with God. Be careful of your time, your peace, your focus, your energy, your this, your momentum, your clarity. Proverbs 24. Proverbs 24. If we go to Proverbs, you guys have been there before. I know you have. Hang on. Proverbs 24. If we go and read that, starting around 30. Proverbs 24, 30. One day I passed by the field of a lazy man, and I noticed the vineyards of a slacker. This is the passion. I observed nothing but thorns, weeds, and broken down walls, so I consider their lack of wisdom, and I ponder the lessons that I could learn from this. Professional work habits prevent poverty from becoming your permanent business partner. And if you put off tomorrow, put off until tomorrow, the work that you could have done today, tomorrow never seems to come. Solomon said he went by the field of the slothful, and he saw it overgrown with thorns, those that didn't have any of their lack of wisdom. And it's all overgrown. Thorns, it's covered with nettles, stone wall was broken down. You see, what we don't read here, and if we want to take on wisdom, Proverbs, the book of wisdom, we've been through that book too. Nothing about that situation, observing the thorns and the weeds and the broken down walls and all of that, nothing about that happened overnight. It took a while for those thorns and those nettles and those things to grow. It took a while and some uh major events to come along to knock the walls down and them not be prepared. That took some time. We don't think about the time that that took. The field became disordered due to neglect. What you refuse to govern. All right, remember we talked a minute ago about God. God's order is perfect, but what you refuse to govern in your life will eventually start to decay. What you refuse to put your attention upon, the important thing that you refuse to put your attention on today eventually will begin to deteriorate. That could be your relationship with your spouse. That could be your relationship with your children. That could be uh stewarding well the the job position that God gave you in that place because you have been neglecting the important things to go and do there, what God actually called you to go. It wasn't just to work a job and get a check. I'm here just to get my check. That that saying makes me more sick than anything else. I'm just here to get my check. Well, then why are you here? You can get a check from anywhere. Those that are a part of our cleaning team, they don't come to just get their check. These are people that know that there's a deeper purpose in what they do. And they take pride in what they do. We own a cleaning company for those that don't know. But anybody who becomes a team member with us, we don't, yes, I know cleaning is hard work. I mean, Brandy and I started this thing. We know. I know what it's like to be scrubbing paint off the floor in a post-construction clean. That's no fun. I mean, you nobody wants to be doing that and scrubbing the toilet. And I mean, you want to learn how to serve real quick. You know, jump into a cleaning company for a while. You learn how to serve and take care of things. But what I begin to, what I began to take on was, especially with our short-term rentals, when we go in there, we're doing a turnover. What I have in mind, and I'm praying as I'm working, as I'm in there cleaning, and I'm like, Lord, let this be a place of peace for whoever comes into this. It could be a businessman or woman that's coming in and they're stressed and they're frazzled. So, God, when they walk through the doors, Lord, let them be refreshed and renewed because we've given them something clean to walk into. If it's a family that's coming to enjoy the beach or enjoy the mountains or enjoy wherever it is that they're going, Father, I just pray, Lord, that you would just, you would bless them as they come in. When you begin to keep Jesus at the forefront of what you do, then it makes scrubbing the toilet and cleaning out the fridge and wiping down everything and vacuuming and mopping and cleaning the showers, it makes all of that go a whole lot better because when you believe that I am making something better for someone else, I am making something clean for someone else. When you understand the vision of why we're there, it's not just to get the check, it's to make a difference. Wherever God has placed you in the workplace, I'm speaking to the workplace specifically right now. Go in there, understand your company should have a mission statement. It should have a vision statement. If you've never seen it, go ask your owner or or your or your manager or whoever, say, I'm just curious, can I see our vision statement or our mission statement? Number one, you're going to impress somebody because not everybody's asking for that. And then you read it and then you pray and ask the Lord, God, here's what I have been hired to do here. How can I align with this mission statement and do something great for this place? Or are you going to be the person that's going to continue to walk around and be like, well, they don't pay me that much. They don't, hey, they that's above my pay grade. They they don't pay me to do that here. They don't? So why'd you take the job? I mean, you knew the salary when you said you'd start to work there. Well, why'd you go there? If that was a big problem. So you got to understand lots of different things before you say yes and you step into something. But if that is the place that God has placed you, make a difference. Make a difference. Carl, amen, brother. We all need it. For us out there in the service industry, we we need we need those reminders from time to time, man. Especially when you're in the day-to-day and you're working and you're moving and you're grooving and you're going and you're trying to trust God with everything and you see all of this. There's been a lot of times that I have made payroll, and I've told Brandy, I was like, Well, our team is taken care of. You and I, it looks like we're next week. When you keep the main things, the main things, though, keep God in his place. Make sure that your spouse comes next. Make sure that your children come next. And then everything else flows from that place. When you keep all the main things, the main things. And that you're presently present wherever you are. When you're on the job, be presently present. When you're at home, be presently present. When you're at church, be presently present. When you're out in the store, when you're out shopping at the store, God says, go pray with that person. Be presently present. If he asked you to do it, stop worrying. It ain't about you. It's not about, well, I might muddle through the words and I might not know what to say, and I might not. None of this is about you. None of this is about me. But it's all about him and what he wants to do through you. He wants to do a lot of things through you and he wants to bring a lot of things to you. If he brings you finances, what does he want to do through you? It's currency. Keep it flowing. What does God want you to do with what he has given you? That's everything in life. I know we just went a whole lot of places there. We just visited a whole lot of ground. But I'm hoping this is speaking to somebody today. We got to change our viewpoints on things. We got to, we really got to change, we've got to change our uh how we view things, how we see things, how we're walking things out. Your perception is everything in your life. If you're perceiving it through veils of hurt, you're gonna see things in that way. But if you see things through the holy word of God, you're gonna begin to see things a whole lot different. Florida Girl JC, good to see you. Thanks for your heart meet this morning. It's good to see you this morning. Welcome in. That's it, Jason. Is God working through us when we can be the biggest witness no matter where we are, no matter what he has called you to? No matter what. Carl, thanks for your follow, man, and thanks for jumping in with us this morning. If you're new to the room, I'm here every weekday morning at around 7 a.m. Central time to do just this. This is the morning charge. We say we call this real talk, real Jesus, real life, because the Jesus is real in every aspect of our lives. At home, on our job, church, in our communities. No matter where he's called you, no matter what you're doing, he is omnipresent. He's always there, and we just keep it real up in here. Amen. Thank you, Lord. And it's all about creating order in our lives. Order on the flip side. I know we just talked about, you know, God is a God of order. Order creates room for peace in our lives. There's a lot of people that want peace, but you have built a life that fights peace in every corner and every turn. You've built a life where you're always, you're always fighting peace no matter where you go. All right? You you maybe you're one that you're late all the time. Oh man. Jesus help us, Lord. You might be one that is you're you're late all the time. I wish I could be on time. I wish I could be on time. Well, until you uh make it a conscious effort to leave the house early enough to be on time, you're never going to be on time. You're late all the time. You're overcommitted all the time because you say yes to everything. And then you can follow through with nothing. That's another way of fighting peace. You always seem behind all the time. You seem cluttered all the time. You're financially loose all the time. You don't know, you don't know what you got and where it's going. These are also the same people that are emotionally reactive all the time. Instead of responding, having peace in your life to respond, you react. You're short. And then you say, Lord, please give me peace. Peace is a gift from God. Yes. Peace, peace is a gift from God. But peace also grows in places where honor and order is restored. And you have to, and you have to honor order. That's kind of hard to say. You have to, you have to honor order in your life so that peace can begin to grow in the right places. So you need to start living a more ordered life. Isaiah 32 and 17. The work of righteousness will be peace. And the effect of righteousness, quite And assurance forever. The work of righteousness will be peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance, forever. Ecclesiastes 3 and 1, to everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven. That means that our life is actually marching to the rhythms of heaven. We're marching to the beat of a heavenly drum, so to speak. If we're truly in line with God and in order with God and spending time with him and listening to his voice and walking life out with him. We got to get into the rhythms of heaven. That means the timing of things matter. What we read in Ecclesiastes 3 and 1. Do everything, there's a season, there's a time for every purpose under heaven. So your timing matters. Being in rhythm with heaven matters. The sequence that events happen matters in your life. Order matters. All of this matters. All right. Peace often increases when life comes back into proper order. If you want peace in your life, then you've got to bring something back in your life, back into order. Something is out of alignment. Something is out of order if you don't have peace in your life. It's up to you to narrow down what that is. You and the Holy Spirit need to get together and have a little committee meeting about your life, and you need to pinpoint the areas that need work on. There's a lot of people that's trying to cast out all these demons and these devils and these things. And while deliverance is real, and there are people that need some true deliverance in their life, but you're trying to cast some things out when really you need to form a plan and reorganize some things. You're giving the enemy way too much credit. Oh, it's him. He's the one stealing my peace. Well, he wants to steal your joy, and he does want to take your peace, and he wants to get in your ear and get you to well, tell him to hush and then sit down with the Holy Spirit and form a plan to better steward some of the things that you have. Maybe there ain't no demon to cast out. You've tried it and you've been to 10 deliverance sessions and you've been to this one and that one and the other one, and things are always still the same. My finances are still a mess, and I just I can't seem to pay nothing. And you know, this job I have is really weighing me down, and I just Well, it's time to sit down and form a plan. Because God is the God of order. And if you do not put order in your life, see, God, God will often bring you order before he brings you increase in your life. If you cannot steward what you have, he's not gonna bring you any type of an increase. Hello? Pastor G, there you go. Resist the devil and he will free. Hopefully, free. He will flee. Trying to English today, man. But see, God will bring, he more times than not will bring order before he brings increase, because things have got to be ordered in a way with him before he brings you the increase. There's a lot of people out here really want, I want all these big things and I want this big expansion. But you're a mess and you don't know how to handle what you have. How can God bring you anything else? Maybe you want more money. If I just had more money, if I just had, you don't know what to do with what you have. And if you have debt up to your eyeballs, money is not going to fix that. It will pay it off, but it's not going to fix the habit behind it. See, there's something much deeper at work here. It has little to do with that. It has little to do with money. It has a lot to do with your behavior. That's a financial class, one day maybe. But there's a lot of people you want, you want more finances, you want more, you want more, I want more, I want more, more influence. What do we do to get more influence? Well, number one, you're focused on the wrong things. And that's why I say be careful on social media. All right. I am not one that got on here to get more influence and more whatever. I am one that wanted to sit here and spread the truth of the gospel and help people understand who they are and whose they are, even if it was five of us. It did not matter. It did not matter. I want more, I want more ministry opportunities. I need places to just to speak and to go. What we do at Firewater Ministries is we put it out there and people invite us, we go. If they don't, I mean, we weren't supposed to go to those. I'm not kicking any doors down. I want to be where God wants me to be. I want to do what God wants me to do. We have to be careful. I want more open doors, more influence, more opportunities. But God is looking at how you are stewarding what you already hold in your hands. What has God given you to do? That's where you need to start. Exodus 40, and if you read Exodus 40, and I just you can go read that, but Exodus 40, 33 through 34, it's when when Moses, when Monas, when Moses finished setting everything in order according to the pattern that God had given him, it was at that point, then the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. The key was first when he had set everything up. So first came the setup. All right, second came the obedience to do what God said, all right, and then and then the arrangement, how God wanted arranged, and then the glory of the Lord filled the house. The glory of the Lord filled the temple once Moses finished setting everything in order according to the pattern that God had given him. That is when the glory of the Lord came in the house. Is it possible that the reason that you have been praying and pressing and moving and going and trying to get the Holy Spirit to show up in your church meetings and your things, and this ain't working and that ain't working, and could it be possibly that you need to finish setting everything in order according to the pattern that God first gave you before he can begin to feel his glory and his presence in the place that he has asked you to steward well? Maybe you've put together a whole lot of good programs and you put together a whole lot of good this and that, but you've got way too much of yourself involved. Ow. I know. Hey, he speaks to me through me. I have to be so very conscious of how we do things, especially with fire and water ministries and how the Lord begins to unfold things. Even down to the point of putting the right people on our board. Took me a while. Yes, we're a real nonprofit 501c3 organization. And we have people from all walks of life from all different states that come together to help steward what we're doing. Yes, this is not just a Josh and Brandy thing. This is a God thing. When God gave this to me, I said, This is yours, and I don't want my hands to be all over it just me. We're so thankful for every aspect of it. If you will set up everything according to the pattern that God gives you, I promise you that his promises and his glory is going to shine upon whatever it is he has asked you to do. What God feels, he first orders. If you went to a restaurant and you ordered a steak and a baked potato, and they brought out for you grilled chicken and asparagus, you're gonna look at that, and while that looks delicious, that is that's not quite what I ordered. That's that's not that looks really good. And I could probably eat that and be fine. But that's not what I ordered. There's a lot of people that God has said, hey, steak and baked potato this, and they have grilled chicken and asparagus it because that's what they wanted. When are we going to get back to a point? Hello, I'm speaking to somebody today. When are we gonna get back to a point where we are giving back to God what he ordered in our lives? If he asks for this, we need to give him this. If he's asking you to surrender, so surrender uh what whatever it is that's been an idol in your life, you better surrender that thing. Give you everything but that, Lord. No, that's the thing that he specifically asked for. You're gonna give him that. What are you gonna do? See, God orders it and He's He wants it to be filled, and He wants your life to be fulfilled the way that He designed your life to be fulfilled. But you're never, never gonna know unless you get in these good the good books and you start getting alone in the secret place with the Holy Spirit. You don't want God to just be pouring out on your life, but you're refusing to structure things the way that He's asked you to structure them. And disorder in your outer life reveals the disorder on your inner life. Whatever's happening on the inside, the fruit of that is what you see on the outside of your life. This is where we're cutting really deep today. I'm just gonna let you know. This is where it really cuts deep. James 3 and 16. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. That verse alone shows us that the inner issues that are going on produce outer confusion in your life. When the mind is overloaded, life starts to get really scattered. When this is a mess. Everything starts here, and everything starts with a thought. But when this is a mess, your whole life starts to get scattered. All right. When your heart is ungoverned and you got a lot of unforgiveness, you got a lot of things going on in here, and things are deep-seated in here, your choices become not the right choices. The things that you act upon are not the things you should be acting upon. Things are out of order. All right. When your soul is restless, everything starts feeling completely out of place. And and then the external disorder will begin to point to all of your internal misalignments in your life. And people will begin to notice these things. You have got to begin to notice these things. Everybody else can notice these things and you be in denial over it, or you start taking an assessment of, hmm, this is not the way people should be living, and ooh, this is not the way that this should look. If your life looks chaotic on a daily basis, you need to start asking yourself some deeper questions than what you've been asking yourself recently. Am I living from pressure of life and things and stuff, or am I living from peace as I accomplish what I need to accomplish? Am I saying yes too quickly to things? I'll do that, I'll show up for that, I'll be here for that, I'll do that. You can't say yes to everything. You have to say no to things in life. Your no is more powerful than your yes, because it allows you to say yes to the things that are important. I say yes to God, I say yes to my wife, I say yes to my children.
SPEAKER_01Everything else, I have to make sure that I don't pile on too much because I'm keeping things in order.
SPEAKER_00God and family always come first. Everything else flows from that place. You need to ask yourself even some even harder questions than those. Am I avoiding discipline? Am I avoiding something from in here that's causing me to not live such a free life? Am I letting my emotions lead me every am I being emotional about everything? And being blown from to and fro based on my feelings of the day?
SPEAKER_01Are you neglecting what needs your attention?
SPEAKER_00God, spouse, children. Your job. Wherever God's place you. Are you neglecting anything? What are you neglecting? What do you have out of order? You can't organize a way out of every problem if your inner life is out of order. You won't be able to do to put together a plan with the Holy Spirit and begin to walk it out. You gotta check things in here so that you can begin to do what needs to be done. Amen. Man, I got so much on this.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I'll leave you with this.
SPEAKER_00Order's not bondage. I know I mentioned it earlier. We feel like going based upon the word of God, a big set of rules. This is I mean, this is ah. No, and this is to give you peace, and it's to give you freedom to be who you were called to be, to be who you were designed to be, to be who you were spoken to be. Because God spoke for you to be specifically who you are. But order in your life is not bondage. This is the framework to be fruitful. God gave you the framework to be fruitful. Some people resist order because they think order is going to unalive their freedom in their life. Well, I won't be free. That's a whole lot of things I'll never get. I'll never be able to understand. But biblical order does not unalive your freedom. Biblical order creates the framework that is needed to bring forth fruitful freedom in your life. A river that doesn't have any banks eventually becomes a flood. Because as the river rises, it spills over. If there's no bank there on the river, well, as soon as it comes up a little bit, everything is flooded. A fire outside of the ring or the barrel or the fireplace or wherever that fire is built can become destruction. It's not contained. Okay. Finances without any order becomes extremely stressful. That's going to turn into stress real fast. All right. Time without order becomes a waste. Vision without order becomes just somebody who's it becomes frustrating. It brings a lot of frustration to your life. Habakkuk 2 and 2 specifically tells us write the vision and make it plain so whoever reads it can run with it. Why? Because vision needs a structure. Clarity in the midst of things matters more than you really think. Order really matters more than you think. Order does not restrict your purpose, it supports it, it undergirds it, and it helps it come into fruition. That's what order does. If you don't have a plan, why do you think when people start a business, the first thing you should do is have a business plan? The reason a lot of people don't do the business plan and they just go ahead and do all the things and they just jump in is because that takes too much time. It's going to take you a lot more time to figure it all out as you go because you didn't have a plan to start with. Yeah, there's going to be a lot of things you're going to have to figure out as you go. Don't make it any more stressful than it has to be. Have a plan. You don't need less vision in your life. You need more structure around the vision that God has already given you. So do what you need to do to structure what needs to be structured?
SPEAKER_01Thank you, Jesus.
SPEAKER_00You got to bring order back to the forefront. So once again, what area of your life feels really disordered right now? Write that down. Don't delay. Write it down today. What area of your life feels very disordered right now? Have you been one that's normalized confusion or clutter in a way that is hurting you and what God really wants you to do? Have you been one that has said this is just the way life is, and this is, we have a lot of this and a lot of that, and the kids and the dogs and the people and the jobs and the sports and the this and the that? Have you been one that's just normalized all of that? And that's why there's chaos and confusion every single day in your life. If so, you need to sit down, you need to form a better plan. There should not be chaos like that in your life. And where are you praying for peace that you haven't brought order to? Think about those things. But most importantly, think about the areas of your life where you feel extremely disorganized and you feel very disordered right now. That is what you need to look at, and then you need to partner with the Holy Spirit on coming up with the plan that is going to help you do better, and then you're going to see the peace of the Lord that surpasses all understanding begin to settle in on your life. That is how you do this, y'all. That's how you do it. Father, I thank you, Lord, for those that have jumped in here today. Father, I thank you, Lord, for those that you are calling to, that you're calling to a higher place, Lord, to be able to see fully their life and what you have for them, God. Lord, show us where we have, where we have tolerated confusion, God. Show us where we have, where we have uh allowed the enemy to speak lies to us right now. And we cancel every lie of the enemy right now in the mighty name of Jesus. I say that any ill word the enemy has spoken over anybody on this live stream or podcast, God, Lord, that they, Father, that we cancel those words now. We push back all of that confusion right now in the name of Jesus, all those word curses right now in the name of Jesus. And I say, let freedom reign in their lives right now. Let freedom reign, God, Lord. Lord, bring our thoughts back into alignment. Bring our homes back into alignment. Bring our schedules back into alignment. Lord, bring our finances back into alignment again. Lord, Lord, bring our priorities back into alignment with you, God. Bring our spiritual uh walk with you, God. Lord, back into alignment, God. Let us keep the main thing, the main thing, and that is you, Jesus. Let us put you back in the center of it all right now in the name of Jesus, God. Lord, teach us to walk with wisdom, Lord, Lord, with stewardship, God, Lord, with discipline, God. Lord, let us lead lives of peace right now in the name of Jesus, God. Lord, teach us, Lord, to honor what you have placed in our hands. And Father, if there's anything that any of us have, Lord, that we're holding on to for one day, Lord, if there's something we need to clear out, God, you show us what it is to clear out. You show us what it is, Father, to bless somebody with something that we're hanging on to so that we can make room, Lord, to have the things that you need us to have, God. We give you permission. If I show you this morning, you say, I give you permission to move in my life today, Holy Spirit. I give you permission to bring things back into order right now. That's today's morning charge. Before you move on with your day, take a moment and let what you've heard settle into your heart. Faith isn't just something we talk about, it's something we live out in the ordinary moments of everyday life. Wherever today takes you, remember this. You don't walk into it alone. God is already ahead of you, working in ways you may not even see yet. Stand firm, walk in wisdom, lead with love, and don't forget who you belong to. Until next time, keep your heart anchored, keep your faith strong, and keep living out real talk, real Jesus, real life. We'll see you on the next morning charge.
