Hey everybody, it's DJ Jazzy Cat back on Catch Track Radio. Today, my guest, Morgan Skype, with her brand new single, How Long? How are you? I'm good, how are you? I am fantastic. So you've got it going on with a lot of different things with new music on the horizon. And of course, our listeners are gonna want to know a little bit about what you do, honey. Could you tell us a little bit about it yourself?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so I enjoy singing. I'm originally from New Hampshire. I uh moved to Florida about 10 years ago, and I've been there ever since. And I just recently moved to Nashville to pursue music and other opportunities. Um, I've been writing music ever since I was little, enjoying singing, piano playing, and just you know, letting letting my emotions out through music with bullying and everything. I think it was a good outlet to, you know, let myself express my feelings, and it just became a passion of mine.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I just think it's amazing how you're portraying this with this bully tour. Um, you want to tell us a little bit about how that music rolls into that?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so the tour is gonna be held at assemblies in schools across the country, speaking about bullying experiences and other, you know, things you can do to help with dealing with bullying, standing up for yourself, and we're gonna also be performing songs at the assemblies as well, you know, to get the music out there and just and and have the audience enjoy the time, but also speak on a key subject that's really good to bring up.

SPEAKER_00

Excellent. What advice do you have for people that are going through, whether it's a kid or an adult, what solid advice would you pass on to somebody going through this situation?

SPEAKER_01

Uh, don't think that you can't speak up. You know, if you're afraid to say something, know that you're never alone, and there's somebody who's gonna help you and understand.

SPEAKER_00

Well, there's a lot of folks out there like yourself, and I'm very proud to say that I am honored to have you on Catch Track Radio with this topic, if you will, but you also are overcoming something. I seen some videos with some music behind it, the quad riding.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that's something I I started to do right after COVID. It inspired me because I I'm uh legally blind, uh visually impaired with albinism, something I was born with, so it does affect my eyesight and pigmentation. I I saw people riding quads and it kind of inspired me to say, Hey, I I want to try that. So I ended up, you know, buying one and getting used to driving it, and you know, it became a really big hobby of mine that I really enjoyed.

SPEAKER_00

Getting out there in the free world, right? Just getting out there and getting in the dirt and the mud. I guess it's therapy, right? Yeah, it is. Well, you down on down in Nashville, when you were down there, I think it was like a week or so ago, I seen some videos out there. I follow you on TikTok and all those major platforms, Facebook, uh, Instagram, all that good stuff. But while you're performing down there, is it just you by yourself or do you have a band? It's just me but myself. Oh, you do a wonderful job out there. You know, folks are definitely gonna want to check out all of your information, all your good stuff, everything that you stand for with the anti-bully. Again, I'm really, really honored to talk to you about all that good stuff, including your music behind it. How long does it take you to actually make an album when you're developing something like this?

SPEAKER_01

It depends. You know, some songs will happen quicker, depending on how many takes you need and and instruments and and what you want to do to it overall in the in the mastering process. But I would say, you know, to put together even a small album, it would take you at least a couple months, maybe two months at the most. That's if you know you do it pretty quickly, actually. So I I believe in some cases it can take up to six months to a year. And there's even some songs that have taken years to write, you know, and they've just been kind of in your archives or in in the back pocket, and then you bring it out and you've been working on it for years. So it all really depends. It's a very good question, though.

SPEAKER_00

Well, thank you very much. Um, I also want to know uh, you know, there's a lot of crossovers right now between country and rock, uh, and pop as well. What is your takeaway with that? What do you think?

SPEAKER_01

I kind of enjoy seeing all genres. Obviously, most artists do have like their key known genre, even though some of them, especially nowadays, can cross over. So I'm kind of writing some songs that blend both country, blues, rock, and even have a little bit of a pop vibe as well, and just kind of see what takes and and overall what will happen with it.

SPEAKER_00

All right, well, definitely information that people want to know. They want to know where they can listen to your your music. You could you give us a little insight on that as well?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, you can stream it and buy it on Spotify, iTunes, Apple, um, sorry, that is iTunes, Apple Music, YouTube, and also Amazon Music as well. And and any other streaming platform, you know, ones that I can't name off the top of my head.

SPEAKER_00

That's okay. Where's your next adventure, hon?

SPEAKER_01

Uh, right now it's just gonna be currently here in Nashville. I guess my adventure is really working on social media and meeting people in person, networking, and just you know, making some more products and more music and seeing where that takes me.

SPEAKER_00

Well, you have been doing an amazing job. You're definitely gravitational pull towards the music, but if you had to collaborate with somebody, whether it's male, female, uh band orchestra, do you have anybody in mind with that?

SPEAKER_01

No, I mean I have a couple duet song ideas, so you know, maybe another male vocalist would be cool to duet with, and obviously band opportunities as well, whatever comes up.

SPEAKER_00

Alright, and your new single is definitely out there right now, and folks are gonna want to check your music out everywhere they go, right? Yeah. Well, I think it's a wonderful thing of what you're doing. Will you follow up with us as your tour begins? When's the bully tour gonna head?

SPEAKER_01

It's supposed to begin somewhere around the end of this year, 2026 or early uh 27.

SPEAKER_00

Awesome. Well, keep up the good work. Um, is there anything that you'd pass on to a a young up-and-coming artist? Anything you've learned over the years.

SPEAKER_01

You know, your own story is is gonna be completely different. Everybody's way into you know being a musician and their message is is all unique. So just keep trying, don't give up, don't let that overwhelm you, because it can be very overwhelming. And you know, just just go each day at a time and pretty much just just take what comes and know everything happens for a reason.

SPEAKER_00

There you go. Well said, Morgan. Well, I thank you for your time. I know you're a busy lady uh writing out in those quads. I'm definitely looking forward to checking out those videos.

SPEAKER_01

I was inspired by that totally, and inspired by how they're down in Florida, so figure out when we can get back down there and eventually either relocate them up here to Tennessee or just you know, be down there for visiting.

SPEAKER_00

There you go. Well, bring them around the world. Maybe you can come up to Connecticut one day. We'd love to have you up here. It would be great. Well, Morgan, you're doing fabulous, like I said before, and uh I definitely was interested in uh talking with you, and I'm so glad that you made time for me. So thank you for that. All right. Well, you have a wonderful day. And guys, go check out Morgan's Sky. She's got it going on with her music, her quads, and her anti bully tour right here on Cash Track Radio. Morgan, we will definitely be following you. Thank you again. Thank you.
