Want to tell the folks a little bit. Facebook over there is uh watching us. We've got the live stream going on, guys. It's catchtracks.net radio. You can check that all out. Uh Hunter, you want to tell the folks how you got started in doing some acting?
SPEAKER_00Well, I started when I was in eighth grade. I started to play in a musical. I can't remember the name, it's been so long. But um I like I love I love to watch movies, TV shows. You know, I love to get entertained.
SPEAKER_01Of course. Of course. Who doesn't? Yes, yes. Do you like to dance, Hunter? That's what I want to know. You like to get up and move around?
SPEAKER_00Dance and I usually go to karaoke, dance with some Michael Jackson.
SPEAKER_01Oh, look at that. I wore the shirt just for you. Oh yeah. Speaking of Christmas, you said the latest project that you were in was what was it called?
SPEAKER_00Um, it was in Elf Connecticut Christmas, Buddies something.
SPEAKER_01Buddies for Christmas?
SPEAKER_00No, uh I remember uh Buddy's Connecticut Christmas it was called. We filmed filmed a music video with my buddy, and we're actually gonna make it into a fan film um later this year.
SPEAKER_01Really? Yeah. So you have the outfit and everything?
SPEAKER_00I do. You do? Um, if you want to check my music video out, um, check it on my YouTube channel. It's called Hunter Compton Official.
SPEAKER_01Okay, but we will have to definitely link that up with a lot of the great stuff as always. So uh Buddy wears these special shoes, these elf shoes. Do you have those shoes? They have like a little point to them, don't they?
SPEAKER_00I don't. I just have my regular shoes, my regular sneakers.
SPEAKER_01You can paint them brown, right?
SPEAKER_00Yep.
SPEAKER_01Well, maybe dad can help you out there.
SPEAKER_00That's a good idea, I like that.
SPEAKER_01Paint them up brown and they've got the little hat and stuff. Does it get hot in that suit?
SPEAKER_00Very.
SPEAKER_01I bet. I bet.
SPEAKER_00So I don't think we're filming anytime soon.
SPEAKER_01Uh I gotta get one of those indoor fans for the body, right?
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00Exactly.
SPEAKER_01So who else is in this production that you're gonna be filming? You're you're doing uh Buddy. I know that. You're the main character.
SPEAKER_00For now, we're gonna we're trying to find other actors and stuff.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_00Well the director's great guy, get me actually have me uh on had he uh I did another opportunity with him last year. You can see on my YouTube channel, and my dog's actually it too.
SPEAKER_01No kidding. What's your dog's name?
SPEAKER_00Uh Lulu.
SPEAKER_01Oh Lulu. I have Lucy and she's upstairs. We're down in the studio, but Lulu and Lucy, maybe they can meet each other one day. That'll be awesome. She's in the movie. Now, what kind of dog do you have?
SPEAKER_00Uh, two chihuahuas. I have another dog, her name is Stella.
SPEAKER_01Stella? Stella, get over here, right? Yep. Cat alongside of my new friend, my newfound friend, Hunter. He's hanging out with me tonight and having a little bit of fun, a lot of fun, I hope. Yes, tons. Yes, of course, right here on Castrack Reading. Um, and what's next? I've got my buddy Hunter sitting side by side. So, Hunter, we were talking a little bit about some treasures and things. Uh you're gonna be coming up and doing some more movies, but I want to know. So, I've never asked it before, I've always been an extra in movies, but never had a speaking part. How do you do how do you remember that stuff?
SPEAKER_00Well, my dad kind of helps me with that go over lines with him. He'll read them to me and I'll I'll give him the script and you know, read it and I'll read it back to him. Short? Yeah, it's it's it helps me a lot. Uh well, it's in it's good to have a role, it's interesting, it's it can be stressful.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I bet.
SPEAKER_00But it's it's a lot of fun, and I'm very passionate about it.
SPEAKER_01So then so so is it like a paragraph that they give you, or is it like a lot of paragraphs? Have you had short roles and long rolls?
SPEAKER_00I've had I've had some short roles, supporting roles, um, extra that had had extra the other night actually on Rhode Island.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah?
SPEAKER_00Yep.
SPEAKER_01Oh wow, could could you disclose of it yet or no? It hasn't been aired yet, right?
SPEAKER_00No, nope, nope.
SPEAKER_01We always have to keep these things under radar. Again, I was in a I I know exactly where you're going with this because again, there's things that, you know, actors and actresses, we have to, you know, mums the word until the actual movie comes out, right? Yes. So they put your name up in credits. What do you think about that? I I've had that done a couple times. That's pretty cool.
SPEAKER_00That's pretty cool.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I love it. Um makes me feel like, you know, I'm in the group with the people the actors, you know, it makes me feel like, you know, I fit in with them.
SPEAKER_01So what is your most challenging role that you have played thus far? So if it was like, you know, reading something or being there in the moment, um, do you find anything ever challenging or just you just go for it?
SPEAKER_00Well, I go for it, obviously, right?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, of course, of course, of course. And um Because there's a lot of people that want to be an actor, actress just like yourself.
SPEAKER_00Correct, yeah.
SPEAKER_01So if you had to give them some advice, what would be like, you know, the one thing that you would say to them?
SPEAKER_00Don't give up your dream. Yeah. Keep going for it.
SPEAKER_01How many years have you been doing this?
SPEAKER_00Uh 12, 13 years now. I started out musical plays, but then I got into more film. Because uh film's a lot easier, you know. I see I see film like I see the film's a lot easier because um on stage you could make more mistakes. Oh, because it's live, right? Yep. Uh in film, you can go back and you know, revisit it, talk, you know, go over it a couple times.
SPEAKER_01Yes, they do the takes, like, right? Action, that kind of thing going on.
SPEAKER_00Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_01And then I found out that they do sometimes, which uh again, you know, up to each is to one with the directors, they actually mark tape marks where people are supposed to be standing.
SPEAKER_00I thought that was pretty much I actually learned that in my actors class. Did you? Actors gym, yes.
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay. You take classes to this day?
SPEAKER_00I haven't took it in a couple years. Um, I gotta get back to that though. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay. All right, wonderful. Wow, beautiful.
SPEAKER_00Teacher's great.
SPEAKER_01Teacher was great? Yes. Alright. Do you remember the teacher's name? Uh Reno. Reno. Great guy. Alright, we're gonna have to give Reno a big shout out.
SPEAKER_00Yes, we will. He's the he's he's the man.
SPEAKER_01He's the man that taught you a lot of stuff, and I'm sure, like you said, very thankful. Reading those transcripts, you know, I'm long, are they really like ten, like I said before, are they a lot of pages sometimes, or are they short or ten um both. Yeah, okay. All right.
SPEAKER_00Thanks so much for having me. I really appreciate it.
