Good morning, good afternoon, and good evening to all and all alike. It's Gina J, and of course, DJ Jazzy Cat. We've got a new series here on Catch Track Radio. It is the June summer series. There you go. And then some June, July, August, September, maybe, and maybe even October. What's going on, Gina? How are you?
SPEAKER_00I'm good. How are you? Good morning, beautiful people.
SPEAKER_01There you go. Well, Gina and I have been talking about something that we all need in our life, and that is vacationing. Vacationing, getting out the door, doing things with your family, friends, and maybe even your pets, right? Yeah. Or even by yourself. Or even by yourself, which Gina has definitely done that, and I'm so proud of her for doing that.
SPEAKER_00So you know what's so funny is I've done all three of them by myself, with my family, with my pets, and with my friends within the past month.
SPEAKER_01So which one, if you had to pick one, is more relaxing for you?
SPEAKER_00Um so they're all relaxing in their own way. You know? I got to heal my inner child with my family going to Disney. I got to reset my inner clock camping with my friends and my pops. And I got to explore and be more aware of myself by going out and doing things by myself and going on a vacation by myself. So it really was like a different form of relaxation in each of the different types of vacations that I've taken these past few months.
SPEAKER_01Nice. So, Gina, you definitely have gotten in tuned. Obviously, we know how you do with the meditation. Uh, and you know, you're always talking about giving yourself that extra time, um, preparation time when it comes to going places. Uh, how much time do you think you need to allot? Say you're going on a vacation just for a weekend, um, with the pups. There you go. How much prep time do you actually need?
SPEAKER_00Uh, we give ourselves maybe two weeks to wear that, depending on where we go. Like, most of the time, when if you take an animal, you're probably not flying with them. So you're probably like, okay, well, we're only driving about two hours at most.
SPEAKER_01Not bad, not bad. Yeah, you can actually make those pit stops.
SPEAKER_00You can make those pit stops. You you go out to lunch, you kinda see what's around, and then you have that end goal of this is where we're going with our pups, and you spend the weekend, and then you just hightail it back home.
SPEAKER_01There you go. Two hours is not too bad. I've been down uh down that rabbit hole many times, no pun intended for the animals, but definitely getting them out for walks. There's a lot of uh parks that you could stop at, as long as you've got them all leashed up. So we always, you know, geared towards animals are our family. You have two children, you're two pets as well, and uh definitely honor that as uh as so many people do with their animals going away. Um, so places that you've been with the animals, where have you gone with them?
SPEAKER_00So uh night nice places to think about when we're traveling with our animals is that first and foremost, we make sure that we stop about every hour and a half to let them out, walk around, and that's good for their bones. They could go pee, they're not peeing in your car, and of course, like we get the exercise too of like walking them around. There you go. So it works for both of you. So it works for both of us. Um, and then we uh try to do stuff that we know that the pups can do. So like we'll look up hiking trails that we could go around. What's around those hiking trails? Is there bars, is there wineries, is there breweries, is there other things that we enjoy doing? Maybe some shopping centers um that we can bring the pups.
SPEAKER_01The pet to pet friendly places, pet friendly.
SPEAKER_00There's a website that you could go on and you could it will show you all the pet friendly. Oh, that's great. That's great area.
SPEAKER_01Oh, that's great. Yeah. Oh wow. I didn't know it was that that broad. That's amazing. Yes, yes, I know. Uh I have Lucy, as you know, she's a little hyper, but we have yet to take her on a trip. Maybe someday with the proper, you know, channels, if you will. Uh, I'd love to take her on a vacation. But the furthest we used to go with our other dogs, we actually have brought our dog buster when we had him. He actually went up to Maine a couple different times, and he actually was in the car for, you know, it was a six-hour ride, but again, like yourself, we stopped and you know, got the little exercise in wherever we could. So absolutely enjoyable. So places that you've traveled, uh, what makes a vacation? I want to know because a lot of people say, hey, listen, it's high noon. We work all year long. We go through these winter seasons of the blues, and some people absolutely do vacations in the winter, but I think a lot of the times people are actually more geared towards spring and summer. I know that people get out, they're like less clothing, you know, maybe less packing, yes, uh, less calories, drinking, hydrating, uh, sitting by a campfire, you know, what makes a vacation? What and your thoughts?
SPEAKER_00So for me, I think it's the getting away. So, like I I build my life, so I don't need to vacation from it, but I was actually journaling about this this morning. And it's not the fact that like um most people say, Oh, I need a vacation so they could just get away from the life that they have, they get away from the home, the job, whatever it is. The hustle and bustle of real life bustle of real life, but then they come back home and they hate that they're back in the hustle and bustle of their life that was created, that they have created, say not. And for me, I like to go on vacations to reset, sure, you're to um explore, to re-guide, um, to learn. There's a lot of ways you could go on vacation, and uh, since I've been doing the work myself and creating a life that I love, I don't necessarily think of a vacation getting away from the hustle and bustle. I think of a vacation of I get to make memories and families, I get to regroup, I get to learn something, I get to learn something about myself. Um, so for me, that's what makes a vacation. And I'm not saying that like, you know, it's wrong, like however you sound vacation, it it could be either way, it's how you perceive it.
SPEAKER_01Sure.
SPEAKER_00Um, and I know for a lot of my friends and a family it is to get away from the hustle and bustle of the life that they sure they have or live and created. For me, I just like to do things and learn from me and learn from other people and go see the world.
SPEAKER_01Absolutely. There's so much of the world everywhere. Ground, you're touching the earth, you know, you're getting out there and seeing different cultures. You could try different foods that are out there. Yeah, you can actually present yours to a stranger, say hello to somebody, or even like you said, stay stay quiet, you know, just you and your husband together, you and your animals together, but you're actually getting, you know, re-inquainted with your oneself, if you will.
SPEAKER_00With your oneself, and you're getting the quality time that you might not get back at home.
SPEAKER_01There you go. There you go. Well, shut the doors, the four walls off, and just get in the car and go. Yeah. We've done that before. I've packed up some wine and some cheese and some grapes and uh some crackers, and we have just gotten in the car and just gone. And we said where we're gonna land. We don't know.
SPEAKER_00You know, we don't know.
SPEAKER_01Just pack some clothes. It could be winter, it could be spring, and it could be summer. Yeah, but it's a great deal when you do a lot of that stuff. Like you said, it's self-helping a lot of people. Um, do you have a favorite place that you'd like to visit again?
SPEAKER_00Paris. I'd love to go to Paris again. Actually, if my husband came to me and said, pack your bags, we're moving to Paris, I'd be on the next plane out.
SPEAKER_01I bet. I bet that's some fancy stuff, never been, but I've watched a lot of stuff on television. Yes, I've seen the leading tower of Pisa, isn't that how that way? Or no, that's it. Italy. Italy. Okay, well, I'm on the wrong direction. Well, you gotta give this guinea a little break here. The Eiffel Tower.
SPEAKER_00Yes, the Eiffel Tower.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, different things geographically. I have to get my mind set. We definitely have a lot of listeners that are around the world. Uh, you know, again, if people want to be in tune with what we're talking about, we would open conversation for a lot of people, but uh getting to the nitty-gritties on vacation, emptying our minds, touching the soil, like I said before, wherever it may be, you know, it could be your busy life. We're gonna bring you a series. Um, this is only part one of many, and uh, we would definitely want to know, you know, where you've been this summer or where you're going, or even in the fall, like I said, if there's something that you want to talk about when it comes to vacation and what it means to you and your significant others. All right? Yeah. All right, guys. Well, we will continue this conversation. This is only part one of a series that we're gonna continue right now here on uh CatchTrack Radio. I hope everybody has a great day. Gina, we'll catch you on the rebound kiddo.
SPEAKER_00Catch you then.
SPEAKER_01All right. Don't forget, guys, you can listen to this and many of the other podcasts with Gina and I and all the folks that have been on Catch Track Radio on many different platforms, such as iHeart, uh definitely Amazon Music, Spotify. Catch us live. Gina and I are live on Tuesday mornings at 10 o'clock AM Eastern Standard Time. And again, uh many different shows going on around the world. Have a blessed day, everybody. Thanks again.
SPEAKER_00Goodbye, beautiful people.
