Love it. Love it. So you've been doing this for quite a few years. You're very knowledgeable. We've been talking a little bit behind the scenes, but uh for those are you know that are interested in what's going on with you and where they can find you, could you give us a little insight of what exactly it is you don't?

Well, um, I am part of the uh events crew at the shaman and the showman LLC. And it's out of uh main offices out of Connecticut with uh Charles Rosenay, who I know you've talked to before. And uh we do events all over uh New England, actually and other countries too. Um but that's something that we've done. But even before that, I I've been at the paranormal industry uh since I was 14. Um I met uh Ed and Lorraine Warren, Connecticut natives, where you're at, um, and uh learned the building blocks from them uh with my abilities and my progression towards discovering that um you know the ancestors chose me as a shaman, and that's what I practice. My main thing that I do and I'm known for in the industry is helping spirits that are stuck or anchored here to make transition and to be able to speak to them and help them make the transition when they're stuck. So that's something that I do. I've been doing it for many, many years. Uh, I've been doing it so long, I do remember when the Dead Sea was just sick. That's how long I've been doing it.

You're funny. I love it. But you can float in the Dead Sea, right?

Yes, you can. So we all float up here, I guess. So if you want to put the horror side of things, uh that we put into a lot of our paracons that we do with the shaman and the showman. That's something that we take part in too. But yeah, I've I've been doing this a long time. I'm uh uh got a lot of titles, you know. I'm not a big title person, but I do have a lot of hats that I wear, like a Game of Thrones character, so I have a lot of titles. I am the shaman of the shaman and the showman. I am the co-u-founder of Warjuna, the healing uh collective, uh, that helps people spiritually throughout the world. Um I'm also the Archangel of the Paranormal, where I started off at a young age. And I'm also a former criminal behaviorist, and I run a podcast which my first season just ended, and it's called Profiled. So I'm all over the place.

I love it. I think it's great. You know, not to scare the bejeepers out of anybody, but um, we want to know well, maybe from back in the day when you first started, what really scared you or didn't scare you when you first started doing this? Because it's a big phenomenon. All this thinking, these people coming through, was there anything that actually resonated that really got your juices going?

It it's funny because you know, I I don't want to date myself, but the old generation X had so back in back in the 70s, like the late 70s, you know, I I was all of eight years old. But back then, you know, your parents were doing their thing and they just put you in front of the TV, and you know, if you want to kill each other, then that that's good. I remember those with your siblings. Yeah, with your siblings. Sure. But they put me in front of the TV to watch uh the mini-series Salem's Lot from Stephen King.

And there was a part in the movie where the little boy came to the window knocking on it, like, let me in, let me in. That scared me so much that I think I could never be scared again after that. But you know, I'm more afraid of people than I am of spirits. The reason being is I garnered a really good understanding, and I think with a lot of things out there, people have fear of the unknown. Once they have a good grasp of it and it's not unknown to them anymore, where they understand it, the fear goes away. And I think that's why I don't really get too scared anymore, because over the years, you know, it dissipates because I'm understanding things more. Do I understand it all? No. If I did, then it would not be paranormal anymore, it would just be normal.

So you keep your mind open when it comes to situations. Um, you know, there has there any ever been somebody that just told you, you know what, we're done. We can't do this. They've they've come through, they felt it, and they were like, I'm finished, I can't finish this project with you. Or there's probably people that actually are very welcoming, right?

Oh no, it it it is, it goes both ways. Um, over the years, I've had uh groups call me because they couldn't come to a conclusion, and and I would step in and you know, come to a conclusion for the people at that time. Uh a lot of people think that the the paranormal like just stops once you come up with a solution. Really, it doesn't. It really depends on you. Most people that have these issues with the paranormal or have some kind of trauma they put into it. Sometimes if they come to peace with that trauma, then a lot of that paranormal goes away, or what they put on it. Your mind, you know, you have 10-15% of your brain that you use, your mind is pretty powerful. Sometimes if you watch too many of the ghost shows and then something goes bump, and then you let your mind get away from you, uh, yeah, you think something's wrong, but it really it is is something that you have to take care of in your life. And once you do that, then it goes away. But people forget that. Everybody wants the bump in the night, they want that to happen, but it really you don't. Sometimes you have to face yourself in the mirror, and uh then after that the the the paranormal or the scary stuff goes away.

So that's where you find your comfort, right? Once the scary stuff goes away.

SPEAKER_00 6:21

Exactly. You know, we all we all go through it, we're all human. There's our spiritual side. I I like to call it the triad. Um you to have that evenness in your life, you have to take care of all three, I call it. You your spiritual side, your mental side, and just your your human physical side. So a lot of that corresponds. Sometimes if you're spiritually so broken, it could cause other problems where you start having lower back issues and all that, where all you have to do is get your spiritual side back in line and they seem to go away. And I've had cases where that's happened, where somebody had a bad back problem, we got them some help, and the back problems went away once they were more spiritually straightened out for themselves, you know. And uh I could tell people again, I always tell people I could tell somebody till I'm blue in the face what to do, they have to make that decision themselves. It's even when I help transition spirits, they have to make the decision themselves. Free will actually works. It's a real thing. And i I I could tell somebody you need to quit smoking, it's not good for you. Alright? I could give them the words, but they have to come to the conclusion that they need to do it for themselves. It's again facing yourself in the mirror. And it's the same thing with the spirit world, just because their their meat suit, I like to call it, is gone, it doesn't mean that they still have maybe some issues keeping them here. And if they get through that, then they're able to transition and go wherever that is. I I don't know, I've never been there, so I don't know what it is, but it does feel peaceful when they do make that transition with the spirit and that feel in the room of the energy.

I was gonna say it must be a heavyweight lift off of one's shoulders, right? Because you know, you carry that around, like you said, you know, and then it becomes other, you know, medical problems, you know, the frontal lobe, the brain, the shoulders, the back. They must have some kind of oof, instant relief, you know, like it just like you cut a piece of cake and said, I can eat this, it's it's okay, right? It's an interesting concept.

So uh it it is, it it is, and it you know, for your your viewers and all the other background is just I told you earlier during our talk, and I'm one of, you know, I've everybody has trauma growing up in some way or another, big, small, medium, whatever, how it affects you on your life and your journey. But for me, also having being an empath from a very early age and then learning how to deal with it, and also the training that I had as a behaviorist, putting all three of those together is a challenge for me, you know. Is when I see something, is am I picking this up as my empathic energy as a shaman? Am I picking this up with my training in law enforcement, or is it just my trauma recognizing something to make sense of it? So that's what the struggle that I have to what I do. So, you know, good, bad, whatever, ugly, I have to deal with it. And people that I meet, whether they're there for a little bit or a long while, it's letting that journey go. And we all have that journey, it's just recognizing it and coming to conclusions with it and not letting it get away from you, and uh knowing that fear comes in. And I always tell people, and I've done this with uh helping people with a deliverance when they feel overcome. That sometimes when you have fear, if you put love into the situation or show them who loves them or what love is and all that, that that fear goes away too. So they've got one powerful emotion over the other, you counteract it.

So there you go. They always say love always wins, like peace and love always, right? Exactly. Definitely, and it's putting better endorphins into your body, I believe.

Exactly. It it it does, it's very powerful. And again, the mind's very powerful, and so is this you know the spirit uh away from it's very powerful. And again, it's it's under understanding of it. And I always tell people I never will fully understand it, but over the last few years in studying, and actually I tell people all the time there's a lot of people out there, they study it, they do all the studying and all that, but they never apply it. And I I tell you, my dad told me at a young age that uh college and all that is just a piece of paper. It says you know how to learn, now go out and apply it.

There you go. He's talking to somebody about theory. Theory is paper, yeah. Hands-on you gotta apply it. Absolutely. I agree with that.

And for me, yeah, and for me and my gifts, I still try and learn bookwise, but then I take it and what it means to me, and I pass it and I apply it and I try and help people. I help, you know. I always say when I got involved with this a long, long time ago, and my mentors Ed and Lorraine Warren always expounded on it too, where it really comes down to keep everything simple. For a paranormal person like myself, my job is to help my client and to help spirit, nothing else.

Stop compli yeah, you gotta stop complicating life. It really comes down to that position in what I do, that's the simplicity of it. And people forget that, and that's when you know bad things come in when we overcomplicate things because we're thinking of too many things when we really don't have to.

Pretty much, yeah. So, but yeah, and again, you know, don't play in my sandbox if you don't want to play right either.

So keep those boundaries up to it makes less for aggravation, right?

Exactly.

I get that. So do you use uh special tools, cameras, anything like that when you go out?

SPEAKER_00 11:59

And necessarily, you know, in the old days when we first got involved in this, I remember trying to get you know uh voice phenomenon and all that through a boom box of press play and record. And I remember when Ed would use the the reel-to-reel and all that, and uh I didn't get that that fancy, but uh you know, I do remember seeing those. But nowadays there's so much equipment out there to use. Um I learned from uh age the way to look at things. I still look at them the same, but a lot of the equipment that's out there cameras, uh listening devices, where we call ITC device and all that, where anything that we use to try and communicate with the the supposed spirit world or whatever world is trying to come through. Um you know, there's so many things, but the reason why I use them is if I feel something's in the room, I like to have a piece of equipment validate that and go off. You know, I never put it down to a single thing because if you put it down to a single thing, I don't think you're really getting the full picture. You know, sometimes I like to have two pieces of equipment going off at the same time I'm feeling something, and then I then I know hey, I might have an audience here to communicate with and and and get that. And uh that's always important to validate. I use equipment to validate my feelings, that but that's just for me. Other people don't have what I have, so they do have to depend on some of the equipment to validate maybe what's going on in a situation uh on an investigation.

Interesting way to dig deep into the pockets of all the you know the information. I want to know have you ever had anybody come across that's like a a prankster pulling some kind of jokes or anything on you?

SPEAKER_00 13:49

Oh no, there there are people in this industry, unfortunately. Um they're more interested in fame, so they fake um things going on to try and you know, on social media nowadays you get paid paid by how many likes you get and all that that following. You know, it's it's unfortunate. Um, but I also have sometimes spirits come through pretending to be something else, and you have to discern that properly, and that comes with experience.

Wow. Okay. Yeah, sometimes people say, you know, you just gotta be careful of who you're talking to, but you never know who's gonna come through. So that's an interesting concept.

SPEAKER_00 14:24

Exactly. And I I tell you, you know, when you think you know, you don't. Interesting. Too many people out there say, I'm an expert in this. You can't be an expert in the field of paranormal. There's really no conclusion to it. You know, science, you can be an expert at something because there's proven stuff, but in the paranormal, I I really look at it scientifically, we try and look at things, but I think in the long run, we'll never be able to 100% prove it because you can't repeat a voice that comes through over and over again.

Right.

Because that voice isn't going to say the same thing during the same moment, during the same atmosphere, barometer pressure, temperature, any of those scientific things that made it happen at that moment. You can't repeat that. It's lightning in a bottle, so it's very hard.

Oh, yes, it was very interesting. Uh, we want to know where you're gonna be. Uh we want to give our listeners all the information where they can, you know, come out and see you, maybe even book you and sit down and talk with you, Thomas. Do you think you can give everybody that information?

But most importantly, coming up for everybody in Connecticut, anybody listening further out that's nearby, our big event, uh Charles and I do as the shaman and the showman will be in North Haven at the Clarion Inn Hotel. Um, you know, VIPs can get in at 11. It's actually the full start is at 12, goes to about uh 5 o'clock, 6 o'clock there. We do have an event after also, but most importantly, it's the Connecticut Paracon. Uh so we're in our sixth year, and we want to make sure everybody has a good time. Uh there'll be plenty of parking, air conditioning in the hotel, of course, is always important, which has failed us the last few years sometimes. But it but it makes the event that much more memorable, I guess, you know, take a positive look at it. But we'll have all that. Um the theme this year is we actually have Ari Lehman, who was the first ever Jason Boris in the first movie.

Yep, he'd he all no mask, none of that, when he was all the weird-looking ballmas head coming up. Yeah. So he's gonna be there, and then we have the most recent Jason, James Stokes, uh, who's gonna be there. So it's like bookends of Friday the 13th for all the fans of the horror and all that. We have tons of paranormal guests that are gonna be there. Um, you know, cryptid zoologists are gonna be there to talk about Bigfoot. There's people that could talk about UFOs, anything in the weird universe uh is gonna be there. But the best part is when you do something like this, when you have questions and you want anybody to think you're weird, you could come and see us because we're all like-minded and it's a safe place to be able to talk to people about your hobbies and what you see and to get answers that you have that nobody else can answer for you. So, you know, you know, come and see us and all that. But all the information is www.paricon with two ends because it's Connecticut.org, and that'll have all your information and all of our cast of characters that are gonna be there in the way to get tickets. And also when Paracon's over, we have a night event where Ari Lehman's band First Jason is gonna be playing at Volo. Yeah, they're gonna be playing a concert right down the street from the Larion and Hotel at Volo Lounge and Restaurant. So we're excited about that. And uh it's gonna be a great day, a great weekend, and make sure you join us. And then, of course, after that all subsides, and just when you your your paranormal hangover is almost done, bring it back up because we're gonna historically be in Hartford to recognize uh the for our third year the remembrance of the people um that weren't witches but were convicted of witchcraft back in the 1600s, 45 years before Salem in Connecticut. They were exonerated three years ago. We celebrate this remembrance to make sure nobody forgets at the Connecticut Witch and Culture Festival, August 8th and 9th. It'll be on the property of the uh Hartford's old state house, which is famous before the state house was there. That property was actually used as the gallows to put these people to death back then. So there's a lot of energy there, but a lot of people that are gonna be there, it's trying to get these memorials up in Connecticut to recognize more with remembrance statues and all that, just to bring that uh to the history of our area and what happened and make sure no people don't forget or keep these things from happening again. So we're we're gonna be doing that too. So these are the big things that we're doing in Connecticut.

Oh, that one sounds like something I'd like to attend. I've been to Salem several times myself, many times. Absolutely. But uh different phenomena here in Connecticut, because I can remember, you know, seeing the cemetery and and the history up in Salem, but I didn't even realize that it was that extensive over here in Connecticut, up in Harford.

It it is, and you know, Alice Young out of Windsor was the first person in the new world, if we want to call it, to be put to death for a conviction of witchcraft, even though she wasn't a witch.

We we know that with history and all that as you look back on it. You you know how these things go sometimes. Oh, yes. You know, if there's disease and all that, uh the eccentric person in the village is the one we were.

Yeah, you were considered a witch, like a witch doctor.

Exactly. You know, it you you can't, you know, you're playing with herbs to try and cure things so your family could be alive, and then you get convicted of witchcraft. Yeah, it it's it's repulsive and it it's sad. But you know, as time goes, people learn and learn and learn, uh, we get better, but there's always the negative and bad side of people, and but we're more aware and recognize that and try and keep these things from ever happening again.

You know, definitely. Yeah, but the yeah, the witch the witch in culture festival, that's uh www.ctwitchfest.com. That'll give you all the uh people that are gonna be there speaking. Some really big name people that know a lot about the history. So there's Dr. Ross is gonna be there out of Trinity College where he was. Uh he's written several books about it. A lot of people from the exoneration program are gonna be there. Uh someday we're gonna have a bell ringing uh to recognize each person that was uh put to death for witchcraft in the state of Connecticut. So that's gonna be very powerful. So we just want to make sure everybody's there. We'll have our Connecticut that we have our witch dancers that do dances and all that. There's artisans and vendors and food trucks and everything you could think of. It's just you know, a celebration more, you know, I know it a lot of bad things happen, but it's a celebration of the culture too.

And remembrance all at the same time, you know. I always tell people just because a loved one passes away doesn't mean that you can't celebrate their life.

Yeah, and what they sac what the ancestors sacrificed for us today to not have to go through what they went through. So that's the thing we have to look at too.

Yeah, I love Halloween. I I'm a junkie. If I listen, if I could do it all year long, I will. Uh definitely. You know my story. I told you before. I've been doing this for many, many years. 30 years now of collecting. So it's great information. Yeah, I have a she shed and it's uh completely filled with uh a lot of uh spookies in there, but they all have a story. Each piece is uh that I own has a story behind them.

So as you very uh very important that you have those stories, just even with friends of mine that collect haunted items, they all have a story. Uh I'll leave I'll leave you mostly with this. Um there's two things that happen. You have two deaths. The first death is when you know you leave your meat suit, like I called it before.

The second death is when nobody ever speaks your name ever again. So if something has a story, it's always good for us to tell the story or to walk through a cemetery and just read the epitaph so that people can live on.

We're we're working on it, working on two books right now. Uh they're not easy. Um it's I I'm one of those I think I have it, and then I look at it and go, oh no, this is wrong. It's the same thing when my singing career. I do a demo and go, I don't like that. I gotta do it again. So I I gotta get rid of that that anxiety of it and just get these things done and and get them out there.
