Hello and welcome to the 90 Day Book Club. My name is Jen. I am your host. I spend my day jobs writing romance and in my spare time I watch reality TV and talk about it with you guys. Today I'm gonna be recapping before the 90 days, season eight, episode 18, Emergency Exit. Let's start with Elise and Josh this time. So Elise did not look up what ab sailing means when she booked this little excursion for her and Josh in the Blue Mountains. She says, I saw abs and I saw sailing, and I thought, sounds cool. Um, I've never heard of it either. Um, we also find out through her conversation with Josh that she once had sex with a pilot while he was flying the plane. I bet Josh does know what ab sailing is because from how he described his relationship with his son, he seems pretty outdoorsy. Elise is quite fit, but I'm gonna go ahead and say something right now. She's an indoorsy type of fit girl in Josh is um yeah, definitely a little more rugged. Um, by the way, if you want to humble a hot person, put a GoPro camera on their helmet. Oh my gosh. Josh is very much one of the hottest people in 90-day history, but that nose up close at a wide angle. Woof. At first, I did not feel too bad for Elise during this ab sailing thing because why would you not look up what it was that you're gonna be doing? And this does look fun to me. It looks like something I would sign up for, but like I would sign up for the beginner beginner version of ab sailing, maybe. Um would I do it to make an idiot of myself on TV? Absolutely, absolutely. I am not above a sweet, sweet TLC check. But anyway, so they're the woodesses. What this is is they are in the mountains, in the caves, in the canyons. They are clamoring over rocks, wet rocks, cold, wet rocks, and we know from history Elise is always cold. For the most part, Josh is being good to her. I found him to be very encouraging at first. Like if somebody, if somebody I'm dating is super athletic, more athletic than me, and called me a good girl as I was struggling to climb over rocks and jump into caves and do all these things, you betcha. I'd be like, damn right, I'm a good girl. Words of affirmation, my love language. But I do start to feel sorry for her once they hit the waterfall. She's in genuine distress. Is this the consequences of her poor choices? Yes. Is this the consequences of her not reading, which seems to be an epidemic? People just don't read descriptions and instructions anymore. Yes. However, this is a full-on panic attack. And if she had been in actual therapy instead of just downloading a meditation app, she might have learned how to calm herself down in a situation like this. But this doesn't take away from the fact that I do I feel a lot of empathy for her in this moment. She's in genuine distress. Josh, up to this point, has gotten some brownie points because he uses his body heat to warm her up. She's violent, violently shivering. But I guess he's at the back of the group or up on the waterfall, so he can't see what's actually happening as she's repelling down this waterfall. She's not actually repelling. Repelling, I do believe, involves you pushing off with your feet, and she's just hanging there, hollering and screaming, I want to get off. Okay, listen, at first I did laugh because it's like funny to say, I want to get off. This is not Space Mountain at Disney. You can't just scream and they stop the ride. But what it looks like is someone is lowering her down to the bottom of the waterfall with on these ropes. So she's really not in any real danger. Oh, by the way, if you hear pounding, it's because I'm home alone and the cats are trying to get into my office to cause mayhem. So, um, anyway, clearly she needed somebody to maybe hang on to, or someone who could go down the ropes with her, down the waterfall in tandem, like sometimes you do when you're jumping out of a plane. I don't know. I don't know. I've never heard of this before. But in the next segment, we sort of get Josh's perspective a little bit a little bit. Um he says, I'm having the time of my life, and she's being a drama queen. And when I get to the bottom, I see people surrounding Elise. I start to think, oh shit, is she okay? And he he finally goes up to her. He says, I couldn't see you, I could only hear you. Uh and Elise is talking head. She says, Well, she's overwhelmed, scared, cold, tired. I thought I was going to die. But then she says, Josh's physical touch makes me feel safe. After the drama is over, she tells the group, My boyfriend saved the day. He really helped me. Did he? Or did the other people in the group? Did the guy holding the ropes and lowering you down slowly actually help you? Josh says he would do this ab healing thing all over again, but not right now. At least, not so much. She says, Let's say we did that, been there, been there, done that, and that's all for now. Okay, I mean, you don't have to have the same hobbies as your partner. Um, so they're driving back to the amazing cabinslash mansion that she booked. And or maybe it is that they're driving back to Bondi, I'm not sure. But the phone rings, Josh's phone rings, or he gets a notification, and he's visibly perturbed, upset, disappointed. Elise says, What was that? And he says, Don't worry about it. It's nothing. She says, What do you mean, nothing? In his talking head, Josh says he wanted to do something nice for her and stopped by Echo Point in the mountains. It's this really beautiful overlook. But he also has to break some bad news to her pertaining to the notification that he just got. Um, so finally they're at Echo Point. He says, I have to tell you something. We are not gonna be able to talk to video chat with my son. And she says, why? And he says, It's just not possible today. I'm sorry. And she says, Wow. And Josh says, I let you down. I didn't mean for it to happen that way. I'm sorry. Elise is upset about this. I mean, my thinking is clearly the mother realized this was going to be on TV that Josh's partner is on reality TV uh and decided they didn't want any part of it. And that is a hundred percent fair. But Elise says to Josh, I'm here now and I want to see into your world. I mean, I think you have to respect the boundaries of this kid and this mom and Josh. You you just have to ship support Josh as best you can. This is this is not a thing that's in your control right now, Elise. But Josh says, I'm good at disappointing people. In Elise's talking head, she says, You should be pushing harder. Settling for no doesn't mean make me feel like you're gonna fight for us. Uh I have a thought. Depending on the custody agreement, his mom, the kid's mom, might have a final say in whether this kid meets you, especially on your first visit. Josh maybe doesn't want to push because he wants to keep the peace with his son's mom. This is a delicate balance. This uh co-parenting, you have to get used to that if you're in a relationship, Elise. And now I'm starting to wonder if one of the major reasons he's having so much trouble with money is because of child support. That can definitely be an issue. Josh says, I wouldn't blame you for walking away. And she's upset about how nonchalant he is. He does have this way of being very nonchalant with his like cutting statements. Um, and I think he's just trying to turn off his emotions. I mean, he he said before about how he's been a disappointment in relationships, and so he wouldn't be surprised if Elise walked away. Elise is very jarred by the way he says offhand comments like this. But he runs off to get a sweater because she's friggin' freezing all the time. So while he's gone, the producer asks Elise what just happened. Elise says she's freaking out that it's so easy for him, the thought of her walking away. Um, so she brings this up and she calls it disrespectful when Josh comes back. Josh says, I don't want you to walk walk away. He says, I'm not perfect. I keep dropping the ball, but I will keep trying for you. Um Elise is falling for him, she says, but she's also scared. Josh tells her he's in love with her. Elise says, that's crazy. And Josh says, It is. She says, Do you mean that? He says, I do. Uh, in her talking head, Elise says, Of course it's nice to hear, but he's telling me this right after bad news. If I want him as my husband, I need to trust him. I don't feel like I can trust him right now, and that sucks. But she's going home tomorrow and she still doesn't know what the future holds. Well, I mean, it is the very beginning of a relationship. So, you know, slow down a little bit. Or as Woody said, her dad said, slow your roll. Um, for the last night together, Josh says he booked a nice hotel room somewhere in Bondi. Uh, Josh in his talking head says, saying I love you and not having heard it back, it feels like it's not as real for her, and that's a bit concerning. Um, they cut to 10 hours later. Josh is carrying her tiny purse to a restaurant. They get a table. It's windy outside at their outside table, and she's freezing because she's wearing what Elise wears. Like this time, it's not a wraparound a napkin shirt. It's like a a band, is it a bandeau where it's just like it's just a a shirt that I think it's a bandeau. Anyway, Josh says, You'd think by now she would know how to dress in Sydney. She's a pain in the ass, but it's a in a cute way. This is gonna be for the rest of your life. She's used to Miami weather. If she moves to Sydney, she's gonna have to if they get married because there's no way he's moving out of the country away from his kid. So over dinner he asks, How do you feel about me? And she says, I'm falling for you. And he says, but not in love. She says, Not yet. She reminds him, You have a son, we have a time difference, we're on the other side of the world. How is this relationship going to work? And he says, Well, it'd come down to moving. One of us would have to move, and that would be a big con for me, obviously, because of my son. How would we live here? She says, And he's seems genuinely perplexed by this question. We'd find a place together, he says. She says, But have you looked? Josh, Josh's me when he says, slow down, I mean, really slow down. Who's talking about moving in together yet? But he says, I'm confident we could pull it off. She says, I'm scared because she's just riddled with anxiety about everything. He says, So am I. You just have to go for it sometimes. I believe it will work. You will find excuses to make it not work. Interesting. Um, they have this shared talking head together, and um, they are bickering in there quite a bit, um, once again, talking about money. And he says to her, Sorry, I don't have a nest egg, referring to, I guess, probably her trust fund. She tells him that he's being a dick. Josh says, It feels like you don't want us to happen and you don't want to admit it. Um, yeah, these two either need to break up or just slow down and see where the relationship goes. No, even though they are on the other side of the world from each other, I think it's it's okay to slow down. Just let it develop naturally. Moving on to Forrest and Sheena. We are back at the cafe. Sheena has left the restaurant in a huff because Molly has started shouting and pounding the table. Um, Forrest has stayed behind to fight it out with Molly. And Molly actually says, Stop thinking with your pecker and start thinking with your brain. I'm oh, yeah. This is in response to him telling her that he's decided to stay in the Philippines. Um, in Molly's talking head, she says, I'm in panic mode. This won't work. And now I'm paraphrasing, but basically she says that Forrest's autism makes him unable to focus on reality, it makes him too optimistic. My whole point is to make sure his needs are met, and I don't think Sheena can do that. I mean, based on what we've seen, I think they can't. When we don't know what day-to-day life will look like when they're both working and having jobs, if they'll still get along. Once you're out of vacation mode, things can definitely change when you s when you have to pay bills, look for apartments, that kind of thing. But I mean, I don't think Sheena's gonna mistreat him. I think she will help him find a job, so I know, but I understand why Molly's upset. Uh I agree with almost almost everything Molly says in this episode, believe it or not. Her delivery is rude and terrible and controlling. So Sheena ducks back into the restaurant looking really embarrassed and says, I had to take a breather. She apologizes. And I just want to say, Sheena, don't apologize for needing a breather to get away from Molly for a second. So Molly is asking legit questions about cost of living, bills, where will you live? Forrest says, We'll find a place of our own. Sheena says, I will take care of your son. I'm professional and I make money. Molly uses such a mocking tone and it's so unhelpful. And Molly says, so she makes $500 per month, and you're saying rent is $400. That leaves $100 for bills and food, Forrest. Sheena says, We have both of each other. We have we have each other. We can both get jobs. She's trying to say. And Molly's like, you're living on daydreams. Forrest says, I just have to overcome my challenges. Molly says, You have a disability, you have disability income for a reason. I want you to get a job, but you need to plan things out better. You need to come back to the US, contact Social Security, and say you want to start working. Then you go through the government vocational rehab program and see what you can do. I mean, that sounds reasonable, but once again, your delivery is so terrible and condescending, Molly. She says, and I can't disagree with her here. She says, you can't just say there's a miracle job where you don't know what the requirements are. She means here in the Philippines. You have to go on the assumption you can't get a job here. And even if you do, how much do you think you're going to make working here? Sheena says, I want you to be here, my love. It's so hard for me. It's been seven years. And Molly says, Don't start the tears, Sheena. Uh, too late. Sheena's crying. Forrest now doesn't know what to do, and he's starting to change his mind. He says, I love Sheena so much, but I can't help thinking my mom is right. Living here is going to be more challenging than I think it is. He doesn't want to be a burden to Sheena. I don't, honestly, I don't think Sheena's going to be feeling like he's a burden. But anyway, now he's conflicted. She is starting to doubt that she's ever going to see him again. And he says, This ring I gave you is a promise. If the K1 visa doesn't work to get you to the US, I'll move back here and marry you. I'm not going to give up. I believe that. I believe that Forrest is very one-track mind. This is, yeah, he's definitely going to come back if he has to leave again. They're back at the apartment. Forrest says it's very annoying when my mom is right because I will never hear the end of it. Uh and Sheena's talking ahead. She says, Hurt said he changed his mind. It feels like he'd rather choose his mom over me. He's being manipulated. I mean, I think he's being manipulated two different ways by two different people. I mean, he's trying to explain to her. If this visa process gets denied, I come back and stay here. Sheena thinks Molly will try to keep Forrest in the US forever, and she's right about that. But Forrest insists this is not her decision, it's my decision. Moving on to Javon and Annalyn. They are in, help me say this, ballet indong for the vow renewal ceremony. In Annalyn's talking head, as they arrive, they arrive to get hair and makeup done. This looks like a resort or um like an outdoor wedding venue. It looks very nice, very, very pretty, very scenic, lots of trees. It just looks very pretty. Um, and her talking head, Analyn says, a little part of me is down when I think about the ring that I don't have. Um, and then we get a talking head from Jovon saying, I want to show her how dedicated I am and make her happy. I am nervous because we have different ideas on what romance is. So you have different ideas on what husbands and wives' roles are. You have fundamentally different ideas about lots of things. Anyway, so they're waiting for um her to get her hair and makeup done. He says, Are you excited? She says, Of course. This is paradise for me. Makeup, hair, dresses. He says, You the center of attention? She says, Yes. She says, I should ask you that question. He says, I don't know what I'm gonna say for my vows. So it's the day of this renewal, and he still hasn't written vows, and none of us are shocked. Um, Annalyn says, You don't have to write a long poem. And he says, Well, it's just gonna be the basics. Don't say that to your bride or your wife, like literally minutes before the ceremony. In his talking head, Giovanne says, I'm just gonna get straight to the point. She is the opposite, she wants to make a whole decoration speech. Um and then this is so funny. In their shared talking head, she says to Giovan, God will take me one day, and that's when he will appreciate me. He's she's Jovan will say, I miss you and your big mouth. Oh um, but she says to him, My whole family is coming, so I would hope that you would put in effort. He says, Well, I mean, I'm gonna be there. The sub minimum effort. Anyway, she kicks him out because he's not supposed to see her bridal look. She says, Are talking head, he's acting like today's any other day for him, and that's really disappointing. This is par for the course. Uh, one hour later, guests are showing up. Mom is outside, aunties, cousins, friends showing up. Oh my gosh, her black and white dress. I love it. It's sort of a mermaid style. It's not what I expected, but it's so pretty. She looks fantastic, but she is fully crying and not happy crying as she walks up to the ceremony alone. Oh, thank goodness mom walks up and walks her up the rest of the way. She does not look happy when she goes up onto the stage platform with Javon. I have this feeling, maybe from watching too many episodes of Love is Blind, I get this feeling. She's gonna dump him in front of everyone because she's exactly the kind of person who would be brave enough to do it. And I kind of want to see it. But she doesn't. Jovon says his vows. I vow to cherish, love, honor, and obey Jovan, the masculinity podcast bro, promises to obey her. And because he can't say anything without a dig at her, he says, I will learn to be more patient and put up with your sassiness. I want her to take one of those big clunky heels and kick him in the shin. Annalyn in her talking head says, It may not be so dramatic or poetic, but when I look in his eyes, I feel sincerity. Annalyn and her vow says, I wanted for so long to say these things to you in person. I promise to continue to be a good wife. I will continue to pick up your dirty socks, even though I keep nagging you. I don't expect us to be a perfect, to be perfect all the time. I love her use of continue, like, hey dude, I'm a kick-ass wife and I will continue to be so. I just really appreciate a woman who knows her worth. Um, but then Javon surprises her and all of us with the ring, the ring that she wanted. So I guess he got his uh quote unquote bank stuff straightened out. So he intended to surprise her all along. Um, it's nice to surprise somebody in the moment, but I am still unhappy with the fact that he um let her be embarrassed at the store. My inner chaos goblin really just wanted this whole thing to blow up. Um, one of her friends gets a talking head and says, This is all crazy, meaning the online marriage. And I know they have difficulties, but they're focusing on love and focusing on each other, and they're working on it. Some of the other friends have very skeptical looks on their faces, but they don't get a talking head. Uh, okay, listen. The best I can say now is that she looks fabulous, the cake looks delicious, and they feed each other the cake nicely. Thank God. Where's the DJ? I don't know. Anyway, moving on to Laura and Beercon. So Laura's all alone in her hero shot now, looking upset, but also kind of evil. So, um, they open with her in her hotel room alone, sitting on the bed, scrolling through her phone, looking like she got zero sleep. She looks every every inch of 44 years old or whatever age she is. And I'm only saying that because this whole season she's been getting like so many compliments about how she does not look that old. The producer asks her how it felt being alone here last night. She says, not fun, did not enjoy waking up alone. She doesn't have any of her stuff. She's wearing the same clothes from yesterday, and of course, I miss BeerCon. I mean, that's your own doing. You had every right to go over there and say, I need my shit, at least. If I'm gonna get a separate room, if you're gonna be nice enough to let him have the place to himself for a night, you still have every right to go over there and get your stuff. You have there's no reason to be in a hotel room in your same clothes. He has agreed to meet and talk with her. Um, in her talking head, she says, I should have apologized. I should have apologized for hiding what happened between me and Michael. But my feelings for him are stronger than I could have ever felt about Michael. Where is Michael, by the way? This whole episode, I don't see Michael at all. But she picks up two Kumro and Colo. I don't know what Kumroo is, but it's from a street vendor. It looks delicious. So much tree food in B90, and I am I'm so hungry. Um, in Beercon's Talking Head, he says yesterday she didn't even try to apologize. He says, by spending time in the hotel, I wanted her to realize what it is going to be like without me. Her pride doesn't cuddle her in the night. He has some of the best lines. As much as I don't really like him, he has some really good lines. So she comes over to the back to the uh Airbnb, brings the food, meets him on the balcony, she sits down, she says, I'm sorry I didn't tell you I was the one who hit on Michael. I didn't mean for that to hurt you. He says, Thank you. He says, So why did you mislead me? Like Michael made a move. She says, I was worried if you knew it was me, they would try to put a stop to my friendship with him. He says, Okay, but the missing thing is I think you had feelings for him. She says, I did, but I want to tell you, you are not a replacement for Michael. In fact, things you do are so much sweeter and kinder and more the type of man I want to be with. I do love you and I want this relationship to work. He says, you can tell me 5,000 times in a row you love me, but as you said, I'm into actions, not words. She says, I'm scared to even say this. Would you feel better if I cut him out of my life? He says, Can you do that? And she says, if that is what it takes to fix this, then yes. And he says, Okay. And uh we get a quick talking head from her saying, This is exactly what I was worried about that I would have to choose. But then Bier Khan says, you know what? I don't want you to cut him out. We can still be friends. He is a good guy. He has proved he is worthy. Not best friends, not that weird friendship, but friends. But he says something really real at this point in his talking ad. He says, It's always bad to lose people. I lost a lot of people. I'm not going to be the one who breaks them apart. They kiss and make up. He says, I love Laura because she has a pure heart. She makes me love life and I want her to be happy. I did not really expect this. We know this is not gonna work in the long run, right? This is this is a fairy tale. And where is Michael? Moving on to Aviva and Stig. Aviva is packing to go back to Arizona. Um, she's telling Stig that it was a beautiful proposal, and she's excited to go home engaged. Um, in their shared talking head, um Stig says, I never thought Stiggy Wiggy would ever settle down. Um, so then they're lounging on the bed. She says, When do you plan on applying for a visa so I can live here? Stig says, I thought you were gonna apply for me to come to the US. She says, What do you mean? The whole time we've been talking about me coming here to live with you. So in Aviva's talking head, she says, Stig never mentioned wanting to move to the US. Based on everything you said on the phone and everything since I've been here, I thought I was moving here. So the producers roll the tape, and we get a whole package reel of Stig asking if she would move to Belize. It's like three different times. They're standing on the pier, and he's asking if she would move here, and she says, Yes, and another time in the car. I don't think I would ever want to leave Belize. Would you live here? She says, Of course I would love to live here. This is crazy. So back in the hotel room, she says, You want to live with me in Arizona? That's new information. Um, but I would rather live here. You won't make any money in the U.S. And he says, You're gonna be my sugar mama. And his tone indicates that he's joking, but I mean, that is actually what will happen for the first little while, at least the first year or two before he can get a work visa. She says, No, I'm not gonna be your sugar mama. I'm not gonna be pregnant and working and supporting you. Um, in their shared talking head, he says, the only way to make money in the US is if I have a work visa or if I'm a citizen. I want to make big bucks and give my child the life I never had. He says to her, You don't think you in the US it would make more sense? We both have family there, there's better health care. And she says, Well, sure, I'll file for you. And he says, Geez, if you won't don't want to, then don't. Shucks. This conversation is crazy. She says, I would rather live here. And I thought that's what we were talking about the whole time. This is quite the switch up. And in her talking head, she says, I wish he didn't bring it up two hours before I'm leaving. He just proposed to get to the US. But I mean, she says, fine, just give me some time to look into it. She really wanted to live in Belize. That has been obvious to everyone since the beginning. So as they're headed back to the airport, they're discussing this in the car. Um, Stig says, maybe we make money in the U.S., come back to Belize, build a nice house. At the goodbye at the airport, he says, Thank you for healing me. Aviva has decided to just take on the whole delusion and says, I guess I can see us living in Arizona and having a little family. Um, she looks very red and splotchy as they're saying goodbye. And that's how I know she has real emotions, finally, at this point. Um, in Stig's talking head, he says, in the US, he would network with people, make big money. And he says, actually, there's more opportunity in Houston because my brothers are there. Uh, this is new. Uh, so the producer's like, who else is there? Because they already know the answer. He says, My ex, but ah. And he kind of jokes, I don't have a ring on, but hey. And then I don't know, somebody the product in the production crew must have had some kind of facial reaction to that. And he says, No, no, no, I'm engaged. Come on. So he's like trying to joke around about how he's not actually married yet and he wants to go to Houston, and he admits that his ex is there. What in the world is he playing at here? And after she leaves, they play this crazy jaunty music, and he has this goofy smile on his face as he gets back into the car, like he just got away with something. Are we being defrauded, or is this a man who knows he just scammed a woman? Whatever it is, whatever it is that just happened is not half as bad as uh Rick. So uh that is my transition into uh Rick and Trisha's segment, which is terrible. Rick is back in Antenna Narivo, looking like he's alone. He's in the hotel room. I guess he's in the same hotel as he was before. He says, This reminds me of our first few nights together, how happy we were. The producer says, You didn't know that being here is gonna have this effect. He says, No. Um, and is talking hand. He says, after Trisha saw the text messages from his ex in Columbia, she refused to talk to me. She didn't sit with me, she changed her seat on the plane and then went to her apartment in Tana. Uh, good. She says she has nothing more to say to me anymore. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Uh, Rick says I didn't have any plans to go back to my ex, but I see why she'd be afraid that would happen. I should have had the respect not to respond to my ex while I was spending time with her. You think? He said, I think I responded because for a while she, his ex, was the only person I could count on to be there for me. So we get a little bit more background on the ex, but not much. Um, there's this photo montage where her face is blurred out. So, of course, she had wants nothing to do with the show. Um wise decision, lady from Colombia. But Rick explains that he met this woman when he was on vacation in Colombia. It ended because we couldn't figure out how to make it work. Um, but then his ex blocked him because she found out he was gonna go to Madagascar to meet Trish. He says it took me off guard that she unblocked me and was contacting me. So, anyways, um he's saying, I sent Trish an apology with no excuses. He says, when Trish texted him back, she's after he okay, so let me start over. Rick asked Trisha if she would meet with him and she texted back. Sure, period. He says, I don't know why she wrote period. If that means that this is final, it means that she voice texted it and said the word period, and then it just it automatically filled in the word period. Okay, this is giving me flashbacks to Luann Unreal Housewives in New York. If you know what I'm talking about, we need to be friends. How could you do this to me? Question mark. Oh no, I mean I'm laughing, but uh it it was very sad when Tom cheated on Luanne. But I mean that was one of the best moments in all of Ronie history. Anyway, oh boy. When he walks up to his meeting with Trisha, she looks like she is ready to rumble, and she looks somehow younger. She's wearing like this preppy sweater that almost looks a little bit collegiate. She says, hello, sit down. He says, not exactly the greeting I was expecting. What were you expecting, sir? But she says, I'm not happy to see you. Rick says, I should have told you as soon as it happened. I had no intention of keeping it from you. Trisha says, Four days. You didn't say anything. That's too much. But she read through the messages and she says that a lot of them were very disrespectful. She says, I gave you a chance in Nosy Bay. I forgave you. You're supposed to be earning my trust back, not breaking it a second time. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Rick says, I wasn't planning to get back with her. I didn't realize you would take it as me cheating on you. Trisha's, yes, it is. That's where cheating starts. Why don't you block her? Rick says, it didn't come to mind. This man. She says, you need to make her understand that I'm with you. She doesn't know. And he's trying to tell her she does know we're together. She says, make her understand you don't want her anymore. She's telling him that he needs to block this woman from Colombia. I think she's calling his bluff, and I love it. I don't think that she's actually going to get back together with him if he does block this woman from Colombia. But as expected, he's hesitating. He says, I'm conflicted. I love you so much, but I can't block her. She says, why? He says, I don't want to do that because I'm in love with you, but I do still have feelings for her too. Trisha says, Oh. Nothing else to do, nothing else to say. And he's like, but I love you. She's like, no, you don't love me. I asked you to choose. You made your choice. Um, and Rick's talking head, he says, when she asked me, I realized I can't completely shut that door. Then producer says, so you chose your ex over her. He says, I don't see it that way. The producer says, Then what way? Rick says, I'm just not ready to let go. I love Trish, but love isn't so black and white. It's possible to have feelings for two people at the same time. Trisha, meanwhile, is saying, I wasted my time. He says, Don't look at it as a waste. I mean, it's not a waste for you because you got to bang a young woman, you disgusting sex tourist. She says, I can't be with someone who still has feelings for his ex. I will block you everywhere. He tries to reach for her phone and says, No, baby, please. She's like, This is my phone. You did not pay for it. So she's going ahead and blocking him everywhere on her phone. And he's fighting for her not to block him everywhere. Is there a more 2026 type of argument? Um, they have a shared talking head, which is so crazy to think that these two have broken up and they're sitting in there in this talking head together. She says, You planned a future with me. You told me you love me, but you have feelings for her. And he says, I do, but it doesn't mean I'm going back to her. My feelings for you are stronger. She says, I can't do that. I'll never be a second choice for someone. I will take my love back and forget about him. Whoa. So it's done. She's blocked him everywhere. And he says, Can I give you a hug? She says, No, don't ever bother me again. She walks away. Please, for the love of God, please finally be done with this man. Um, and her talking head, she says, I'm feeling really angry. I don't understand why he makes me fall in love with him and then breaks my heart. He should not have come to Madagascar. I will never speak to him again. Rick is now crying and walking away. I wish she realized I do love her and I do think she's special. I guess I wasn't ready. That's all I can say. His little baby boy voice is so grating. Um, but next time on Before the 90 Days, it'll be episode 19. We're getting super close to the tell-all. For the love of all things holy, I really hope Sean Robinson watches these episodes of season eight before she does the tell-all, because we need her to hold these men's feet over the fire. Please, Sean Robinson. I'm begging you watch the episodes. But anyway, next time, uh, Laura and Birkan are playing soccer. He says, Give me your ring finger. He puts a red string on her finger and says, Will you marry me? Uh-huh. Sure. Um, Anna Lynn is taking a pregnancy test. I think it's a fake out. And then we see Rick at the airport sobbing, and then Trisha walking up. She's carrying a gift bag and she looks a very sour puss face. I'm hoping he left some crap with her and she's just bringing it back to him. Maybe it's maybe it's the kill tarp. Um, most dramatically, next week we get a shot of Elise looking like a wreck, saying she leaves for an hour to go to the airport, and Josh left. She is beside herself saying, How can you tell me you love me then bring girls back? What? And he stopped sharing his location with me. What? Is she at the airport alone? Huh, and then we get more Lisa and Faith, Faith, Faith, Faith. Faith is back on our screens next week, y'all. Faith is telling us Daniel is not communicating with Lisa very much. And then we see Lisa confronting Daniel over FaceTime going, Faith went into your email. How come you're calling somebody else your wife? Who? What? Um, and then we see Aviva sobbing and a producer asking her what just happened, and she's just sobbing and shaking this season. It's so much. And now it's time for book club corner. Um, so what I've been doing, as you know, I'm currently reading Rock Hard by Nalini Singh. It is an inappropriate workplace romance. Um, what I've been doing is I've been listening to the audiobook as I'm walking. I'm trying to get in a better habit of walking every morning before I start work. And so what I'm doing to incentivize myself is I only get to listen to this book as I'm walking. So that is my time to listen while I'm exercising. So far it's working because I'm at the point now where I'm fully invested in these characters. So we have Charlotte, who is the very smart corporate employee who has never gotten credit for her work, who's been overlooked, and we have the new boss who's come in to save this failing company and who finally notices her. Anyway, his name is Gabriel, and he is an ex-rugby player. Um, I believe this is set in Australia. Um, hey, so there's a connection to 90 days. Uh anyway, it's turning out to be a slow burn, and I am just laughing at myself because I'm so used to I'm so used to InstaLove where we have like people are biting each other's lips by the chapter three. But anyway, but they are definitely like building the tension. There's definitely a little bit of fantasy in their heads as they are like working together. I'm at the point now where they are about to go on a work trip together, and um yeah, I think this is gonna be good. Anyway, so that is where I am at this point. Please come find me on Story Graph and I will friend you, and uh, you can follow my progress. Although I haven't updated it in a while, so sorry about that. Um, but follow me, send me a friend request on Story Graph, and I will I will uh I'll take ya. Um, that is the show that I have for today. Thank you all for listening. Please check out the show notes for all my links. I will talk to you soon, you know.
