Welcome to Borderless Self — a show about the people who crossed oceans, borders, languages, and entire worlds… and still found a way to rise.

This is not the official launch.
  This is just a whisper… a signal… a trailer for what’s coming in January 2026.

Because before the conversations begin, I want to tell you why this podcast even exists.

I’ve spent more than two decades working inside global companies — tech companies, trading firms, startups, Fortune 500 giants — and across all of those environments, in every boardroom, war room, and hallway of power, I noticed something quietly consistent:

Immigrants were everywhere.

Often invisible, sometimes underestimated, yet always — always — shaping the direction of the world.

Think about it for a moment:

Sundar Pichai…

David Velez

Bozoma St. John
 Satya Nadella…

Ursula Burns…

Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong
  Indra Nooyi…
  Elon Musk…

Marcos Galperin
  Jensen Huang…

These are names we all know.
  Household names.
  Architects of billion-dollar transformations.
The people who shaped the way we search, eat, work, drive, invest, and communicate.

And they all share one thing in common:
  They are immigrants.

People who began life in one world…
and built their careers in another.

But not every story makes headlines.
Some remain in quiet corners of companies — in leadership roles or entry-level jobs — building, influencing, and innovating in ways that never make the front page but absolutely move the world forward.

Maybe that’s you.
  Maybe that’s your colleague.
Maybe that was your parent, your partner, or your best friend.

Or maybe… you were raised by immigrants, shaped by their grit, their sacrifices, their decisions to leap toward something they couldn’t fully see yet.

I understand that story… intimately.

My own family’s journey crossed continents — from South Africa to the Soviet Union, from London to Zambia, from corporate America to Canada and back again.
I grew up around passports, borders, stories of struggle and reinvention, and the quiet courage it takes to start over—again and again.

But this podcast isn’t about my story.

It’s about ours.

Every week starting in January 2026, I’ll be sitting down with immigrants and global citizens who’ve built remarkable careers in the corporate world.
Not just CEOs or founders — though we’ll talk to them too — but operators, intrapreneurs, strategists, engineers, marketers, advisors, analysts, and leaders at every level.

People who walked into rooms where no one looked like them…
People who built success in languages they didn’t grow up speaking…
People who learned to navigate office politics, cultural expectations, and invisible barriers…
People who carried entire lineages on their backs.

Because immigrant success is never truly individual.
  It’s collective.
  It’s generational.
It is, in many ways, inherited — and yet painstakingly earned.

I won’t spoil the full direction of the show just yet.
  Let’s just say this:

The global story is changing.
  The workplace is changing.
Borders mean something different than they did 10 years ago… and they will mean something entirely different 10 years from now.

And if you’ve ever felt like you were living between identities…
  Between cultures…
  Between expectations…
  Or between worlds…

This show is for you.

So here is my invitation.

If you’re an immigrant — or the child of immigrants — working in the corporate world, and you have a story of resilience, reinvention, unexpected opportunit
