Speaker 1noon afternoon . It's afternoon for you , morning for me . It is a lovely Sunday morning over here . I am doing pretty well . I slept in a lot this weekend , which I haven't really done since getting into my early morning gym , then going to work routine . It was probably an indication that I needed it , but we'll take it . At the end of the day I am good . Obviously , we've got NFL games kicking off in about 30 minutes and coming off of a great slate of college football . Speaker 1yeah , and typically I typically get it a little bit closer to thanksgiving , but you know what ? There's a target probably half a mile down the street from me . I know all the white girls will be like oh my god target's right there .
Speaker 1It's amazing . Yeah , it can be , it could be convenient , but , um , stepped out , I got the . I got the office lunch on friday , so I went to pick it up and then I was like you know what , let me just swing on through real quick and just kind of pick up my , my turkey and thanksgiving stuff . Um , even earlier , have it ready to go . The turkey is just in the freezer , so I'll put it in the fridge , probably tomorrow or Tuesday , let it thaw out and we'll get rocking and rolling for Thursday . Man Got ahead of it this time . Hell yeah , bro . So it'll be good . What is Cruz's Thanksgiving plate ? What's his ideal Thanksgiving plate ?
Speaker 2Well , you know , you got to go ahead . You got to have the sweet potatoes , you got to have mash and gravy , you got to have the stuffing . You got to have , of course , the mac and cheese . I'm a big fan of deviled eggs . Oh , absolutely , hate me if you want to , but not a lot of people I don't know like deviled eggs . Fuck that and fuck them . Oh , too , fuck that up , plus a green bean casserole . And then you know , I'm not the biggest fan of turkey .

Speaker 2It's very hard to find a turkey on Thanksgiving that isn't dry as fuck and you gotta drown in gravy to eat it .

Speaker 2yes , of course you know , in my opinion I prefer ham . Uh , I do like ham on a thanksgiving , but you know , yeah , that's I mean that's pretty much the deal right there .
Speaker 1Do you do you double it ? Do you double down on the ham for christmas too , because it's usually ham for christmas and easter throughout the year ? Okay ?
Speaker 2yeah , for sure , chris . Uh , you always need a christmas ham for sure .
Speaker 1Yeah , uh , I'm kind of with you there , I know . Look , a lot of people also do turkey and ham , uh , for thanksgiving . They just say fuck it , um , and they usually have like 30 million people at the house . So it is what it is . Yeah , I mean , I think for me it's . It's definitely definitely the turkey , the mashed potatoes and gravy , some mac and cheese , some green beans casserole depends on the green bean casserole itself .
Speaker 1But , um , I could do just a little plain green beans , a little seasoning on it call that a day some stuffing and some mac and cheese . I mean , it is the basic whitest white person plates , but it's okay . It , uh , it is delicious , it's all right . I mean , it's definitely the . It's definitely the time of year where diets get destroyed , um , by thanksgiving and christmas and parties and occasions and everything else under the sun . So , you know , as long as you keep in moderation for a day or two , the leftover smack , let's be honest , that's really where it's at . That is that is really what it comes down to . Is the leftovers you have , uh , up until like the second week of December .
Speaker 2Yeah , yeah , yeah , I mean , you know definitely , living off Thanksgiving uh , thanksgiving leftovers , especially for Christmas too . Uh , thanksgiving leftovers , especially for Christmas too . Dude , it's just one of the best things Also , just sitting down with your people sharing a meal , especially because during that time you don't see a lot of people as much . It's definitely a good time , good vibes , definitely looking forward to it . Over this cold man fucking out of nowhere . We just had three days with the fall and then we went right into winter and , uh , I'm sure you are experiencing experiencing that a lot up in denver yourself . You had multiple snowfalls . We finally had one friday , uh , but it only lasted maybe four or five hours .
Speaker 1but yeah , I thought you . I thought you were tired of it being like 75 80 degrees in november and you wanted some inclement weather I mean , yeah , I don't get me wrong , I did .
Speaker 2you know I don't have to turn my heat on , which is cool , but you know , I'm getting to the point where I'm , but I have to turn my heat on . Uh , freaking , yeah , yeah , this this , you know I'm over over it . I'm over this Maryland weather . It's like fall is not a thing anymore , neither is spring . It's just winter and summer , and it's fucking terrible .
Speaker 1Yeah , I mean it's currently 60 degrees here , so you could take that for what it's worth .
Speaker 1It is sunny and 60 . It's , you know , throughout the week . It's definitely like high 20s in the morning when I get up to go to the gym and it typically stays around the 30s . But it looks like we're expected to get snow the day before Thanksgiving here . Look at that 80% chance . Yep , that sounds about right . It's only going to be about one to three inches , so we'll take that for what it's worth . But yeah , I mean , we haven't , we haven't , uh , outside of the , the 14 inches we got just out of the blue for two days and it's all disappeared since then it's been . It's been pretty consistent with just some colder weather . Um , but I'm with you , we we're kind of stuck in the transition between fall and winter . People can argue when winter starts and when fall starts and all that , but to me it's just all about the temperature . And when it hits the 30s and stays in the 30s throughout the day , to me that's definitely more winter-related . If it hits up to the 40s and 50s , that's definitely more fall weather related .

Sports Winners, Snowy Game, Boxing Mess
Speaker 1Um for the cy young , you had chris sale coming out on for literally fucking right field for the Braves and winning it for the first time . He was dominant when he was in Chicago and Boston and then he got hurt , disappeared off the face of the earth for five years , came back and just absolutely dominated for the Braves . So he wins the Cy Young for the NL . Tigers have found another star pitcher . I know Detroit Tigers , I know . But Tyler Schugel he dominated the entire season wins the AL , signing on for them , joining Justin Verlander and Max Scherzer as the other two recent signing on winners for Detroit MVP awards . Of course he had Aaron Judge for the American League . He won the mvp unanimously . I think it's the second , I think it's the second yankee all-time . Uh , to win unanimously . You have to go back to I think it's mickey mantel , it's , it's someone in the 1930s I did , yeah , crazy . And then shohei otani , of course . Nl mv MVP unanimous MVP . Wins his third one Second player all time to win the MVP award in both the AL and NL , behind Frank Robinson , who I believe also played for Baltimore , played for Cincinnati . So just cap it off , a ridiculous year for Shohei , 50-50 club MVP , world Series champ . Just what a freaking great life he is living .
Speaker 1You had trap game Thursday night . Depending on who you ask , you had the Steelers at Cleveland , a very snowy game which , by the way , I was actually a little surprised of all of social media blowing up of how majestic the snow game looked . It is cool 100% , but you see it every year . You see it every year . You just you , just you see it every year . And where you're going to see it primarily the most it is going to be the midwest of like the chicago or the green bay , um minnesota , before they went inside like detroit , and then it expands to like that cincinnati cleveland area , creeps down into the pittsburgh like . I was very surprised of just how people were like oh my god , this is so beautiful , it's a great snow game and fucking playing . I'm like yo chill out . That's definitely not .

You know we haven't been getting that much snowfall , so a little bit of white makes it go a little bit crazy , especially if , yeah , yeah , you know , yeah , I mean , it was a fun game to watch . I knew I was telling my dad he's a Steelers fan . I was like there's something about Jameis and those division rivals . Man , he just turns it up a notch , he doesn't make mistakes , he knows how to capitalize and especially when you've got Nick Chubb back , that's a very dangerous combination and you know , just like the Ravens a couple of weeks ago , they got surprised , man . You know there's just something about Jameis , especially against those big-time teams in the big-time moments . Against my better judgment , I betted for the Steelers . Like you said , man trap games galore , especially this week especially going into Saturday .

It was , let's be honest , the fight of the night was the Katie Taylor and the Amanda Serato fight before . Okay , let's be honest , that was the fight . She got robbed , absolutely she got robbed , she got cut , she got headbutted , she got an L .
Speaker 2The only reason she had damage on her face were those illegal headbutts . Like I'm sorry , you can't tell me that she lost the fight off . Like the only reason she lost the fight were because of looks alone , because she had that big ass gash . So they're definitely gonna run it back for round three for sure you definitely gotta run back from round three .

You also had , like taylor lost a point because of the headbutting too like it just it makes absolutely no fucking sense in the world how you could consciously make that decision as a panel . And you're gonna do two nfl games on christmas in a month , by the way , yeah , yeah , though , and and maybe I wrong , but those are live events , if I recall correctly so , like it's going to be a disaster .

And yeah , you literally had to go about 10 seconds behind what it was live and it worked like a charm there . I know a lot of people were also looking at Antonio Brown's Twitter and just watching him fucking stream the fight from the big screen .

Uh , in a month for the nfl and then a week after that they have the wwe coming to Netflix and that's going to be terrible . It's going to be an absolute disaster . Obviously , you've got live shows at Raw and SmackDown , you've got live pay-per-view . It's just , I don't know how they're going to do it . So , whatever . But Triple H said if I get that many eyeballs , I'll take the buffering for that many eyeballs at the end of the day , because viewers is money . We'll see how it goes .
College Football Playoff Rankings Prediction
Speaker 1College football bonanza . We'll just start from the top down . Noon game College game day was in Columbus , ohio , for the Ohio State in Indiana , number two versus number five , indiana 10-0 , first time ever in program history coming in Ohio State . Obviously the one lost to Oregon at Oregon by a point . And well , indiana , they got crushed . I mean , that was an ugly , fucking game .
Speaker 2Yeah , yeah , yeah , I mean it sucks . You know I'm really hyped on Indiana . You know what they've been able to do bringing over pretty much everybody from JMU and just balling out like the way they did , and you know it was tough to see . But I mean , clearly there are levels to recruiting , there are levels to programs or facilities and you know that comes into play at the end of the day .

Speaker 2You know , and the question is though should Indiana still get in ?
Speaker 1Yeah , I think they should and I think they will . And we won't know until Tuesday night when they do the unveil . So we might have to do a show Wednesday or during Thanksgiving weekend , who knows . But I think they should . I mean , look , they did look bad against Ohio State . I totally understand that . I think it was definitely a coaching failure from Cignetti to Rourke and company . All Jim Knoll did on defense was blitz them after the first drive . That's all he did was blitz them and they and they had no idea what to do . They completely collapsed in themselves . So definitely a coaching failure there . You had to , you had to expect them to deal with the pressure . But I think I think they do , look , they're , they're gonna pressure , but I think I think they do look , they're , they're gonna , they're gonna win out .
Speaker 1The one loss is going to be to the second ranked team in the country . I mean , penn state is literally in the same boat as indiana . I mean they . They lost to ohio state . Now , granted , it was at home , so that's a little , it's a little worse , but they lost to ohio state and they're so . They're so fourth in the they're so the fourth ranked team in the country , and they're so fourth in the they're so the fourth-ranked team in the country and they're still going into the playoffs . And look , people aren't going to like possibly having three , four teams for the Big Ten out of the 12 . But like I mean , I don't count Oregon because , like I know , they're in the Big Ten technically , but like they're a Pac-12 team , like , let's be fucking honest , like it just , I , I , I don't , I don't count them in in that regard . But like ohio state , they're always going to get in . It just is what it is . Um , but to your point , there is levels to like nil recruiting facilities , like it's just , they're just built different . So , yes , yeah , but I think any is going to get in . They're probably going to to fall to anywhere between 8 to 10 . But I think that's fair , because your only loss is on the road at Ohio State . I mean , it just carries weight at the end of the day .
Speaker 1Now the question you have to ask yourself is what is Indiana going to do in the playoffs when you're going up against these similar caliber teams like , and I think it's fair , but I also think that they could get out of the first round into at least the second round . I think they could definitely stack up against a team like Penn State or a BYU or a Boise State . I think there's still a handful of teams in there . That will be a good kind of back and forth matchups . And then you know who knows , like Arizona State get into them . You know they could possibly sneak in now if they win the Big 12 . Like they could definitely compete against them . So yeah , I think Indiana gets in .
Speaker 1It was bad showing , it was a bad performance , it was a bad game overall . But I don't think they get penalized as much . And again , it's their first loss , coming two weeks before conference title games . If you made it that far , you're pretty much going to be pretty secure as far as the rankings are concerned . If it was a four-team playoff , you're out 100% , no shot . But with the 12 teams it opens up that possibility , all right . So you had Indiana go down .
Speaker 1We had Penn State squeak out a win at Minnesota by a point . That was actually a great back-and-forth game and Penn State put the balls on the line and drew up a wild fourth down play to end it . So they're still going to get in . And then you had Arizona State and BYU man , byu . I feel bad for BYU . They have completely fallen off the rails since losing at home to Kansas . But they were down 21-0 . They were down 17-28 , going into the fourth . They scored and then it was a wild ending you had and I watched this live you had Arizona State . They got the ball . Retzlaff from BYU threw a pick , brought it down to the 10-yard line in BYU and Minnesota took over . And Minnesota , instead of just kneeling for the game , they literally ran backwards and then took knees .
Speaker 1So by the time it was all said and done , it was fourth and forever , with seven seconds left at the 50-yard line and they snapped the ball . They threw the ball into the end zone and I didn't know this . The clock runs in this scenario to end the ball . They threw the ball into the end zone and I didn't know this . If the ball was thrown into the end zone , the clock still runs , because the clock doesn't stop until the ball hits something , no matter what it is . So they went to the replay . Fans stormed the field . There was still a second left on the clock , so it took about 20 minutes to get all the fans back into the stands they had already taken out the goalposts so they were trying to put the goalposts back up Like it was absolute chaos . So BYU got the ball at the 50-yard line with the second left and then they connected on a Hail Mary and then they got tackled at the 2-yard line . Just bananas . It was a banana-wild finish to that game .
Speaker 1But BYU gets their second loss . Arizona State , I believe , moves up into the top rankings for the Big 12 . So I think if they win next week they clinch a spot into the Big 12 title game . Byu has to win out as well , but that was a closer game than what it was looking like . You had Ole Miss go into Florida and fucking lose . I hate both those teams anyway , but Florida I mean , I don't know what's going on . Second half of the season . Their defense is turning up , their offense is putting it together and they had Ole Miss their third loss of the season . They are knocked out of the playoffs . Ninth ranked team in the country goes down Colorado and Kansas . Kansas has been on fucking fire . They won two straight games against ranked opponents . They beat Arizona State and then they beat BYU . At BYU they played in Arrowhead Stadium yesterday against 16th ranked Colorado and Kansas beat the piss out of them .
