The Perspective Shift That Will Instantly Change Your Manifestation Practice
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Most people think manifestation requires huge life changes.
But one of the fastest ways to change your results is actually much simpler.
In this episode, we’re talking about perspective shifting and how it directly impacts manifestation through your reticular activating system (RAS) the part of your brain that filters what you notice and what you ignore.
When your perspective shifts from lack to abundance, your brain literally starts scanning the world differently. Opportunities that were always there suddenly become visible. Evidence of growth becomes easier to see. And aligned action becomes much more natural.
Inside this episode, we talk about:
• How the reticular activating system filters your reality
• Why perspective determines what opportunities you notice
• How shifting from lack to abundance changes your nervous system
• A simple exercise that can instantly change the way you see your progress
• How perspective shifts train your brain to expect expansion

The Recalibration Diaries is a three-part private podcast series for women ready to command more wealth, freedom, and next level recognition in their industry. This is a series that I'm going to be doing next week. So if that is you, stay tuned because you're not going to want to miss this series. Welcome to the Expansion Edit Podcast, where if you hang around long enough, you'll learn that you can achieve anything by rewiring who you believe you are. I'm Chelsea, a licensed therapist, turned identity coach for the woman ready to create an extraordinary life and become the living manifestation of her vision board. Not through wishful thinking or fluffy affirmations, but through identity embodiment using proven techniques, rewiring protocols, and psychology-backed strategy grounded in neuroscience. Here we talk subconscious rewiring, nervous system safety, identity shifting, and manifestation in a way that expands your life from the inside out. So let's unlock your next level. Okay, welcome back. Today we are gonna be talking about something that can instantly shift your manifestations and make them faster, maybe possibly instant in some cases, and that is perspective shifting. And I'm gonna explain why perspective shifting is so important when it comes to manifesting, and I'm gonna be explaining it via the reticular activating system. So when people think about manifestation, sometimes we think that it requires like these huge life changes. And again, if you've been here for a while, you've heard me talk about, heard me talk about manifestation actually being in the small movements and the small daily repetitive actions that we take. And so one of these really fast, simple ways to change your results quickly is through perspective shifting. Because when your perspective shifts, your brain literally starts filtering the world differently. Because think about it. If you are so grateful for what you already have and you have so much gratitude, versus if you are so negative about the same things that you have, that is a huge difference in perspectives. But the actual reality can be the exact same. And this is where the reticular activating system comes in. So I mean, I know if you've been here for a while or you follow me on TikTok or Instagram, like you know about the reticular activating system. But quick little overview your reticular activating system is your brain's filter. So you're constantly surrounded by, I mean, I think our brains take in like 11 million bits of sensory information every second. And so obviously, we cannot consciously be aware of all of that information. So your reticular activating system helps you decide what to notice and what to ignore. And I mean, you've all heard the car example, you know, suddenly you start seeing that car everywhere if there's a certain car that you want to buy, and it's not that the car suddenly appeared, it's that your brain just started filtering for it, and so you're gonna notice it everywhere. So this is where manifestation gets interesting because if your brain is set to lack, so if you're noticing things that go wrong, lack of opportunity, proof that you're behind, reasons something isn't going to work, then that's exactly what you're gonna continue to notice. But when your perspective shifts to abundance, you're gonna notice opportunities, proof of growth, evidence that things are working, and you're gonna notice an alignment and expansion. And not only are you gonna notice these things, but being in that place is going to allow you to take aligned action because subconsciously and in your nervous system, you're gonna believe that these things are gonna work out. So if you don't have that perspective, your brain and body is not going to let you take those aligned actions, which is why this perspective piece is so important. So if you can change to abundance from lack perspective, your brain is going to start filtering for those things. The things that are already there, mind you, they're already there. You're just not tuned to notice them. And suddenly the world is going to look very different when you can make this switch. And I'm gonna actually give you a very practical example, which I'm not gonna lie, you guys, it's kind of embarrassing. It's embarrassing, but I also feel like it's really important for me to share these things with you because one, it's like we all deal with these things because remember, our brains are wired for survival. So unless you really put the work in to change that wiring, you're gonna continue to notice things for survival versus notice things for abundance. Okay. I also am gonna just preface this with, you know, I do feel that I am generally in a gratitude abundance state. However, I'm human and I'm not immune to things like falling into lack. Like these are things that I constantly work on, and you know, I look for evidence of my growth and expansion wherever I can. So this is just like an example of that. But basically, my platform has grown relatively quickly, both on Instagram and TikTok. And I think when you get into these states of growth, it can be easy to say, okay, what's next? What's the next step? What's the next goalpost? Like, where's my goal? Right. And it's hard sometimes to be happy or grateful for the the state that you're at. Yeah, you can be grateful and then also working towards the next thing. But I definitely have been guilty of just looking at the next thing, like what's the next goal that I'm hitting? And, you know, the gratitude piece can fall short sometimes. So I have been growing and that's been great, but I definitely have had my moments of like, well, I'm not growing fast enough. Or, you know, you look around online and you see other people that are like further ahead than you. And for the most part, I feel like I'm pretty good at not falling into that comparison piece. I also, after this example, realized that you do need to step back and just be so proud of yourself for the growth that you have had and not minimize it because minimize it, minimizing it puts you in a state of lack. So if you don't follow me, you won't know that this past weekend I was in Palm Springs for the Indian Wells tennis tournament, which was such a fun time. If you don't know, I actually grew up playing tennis my entire life, played in college, like absolutely loved the sport. It was a huge part of my childhood and my upbringing, and it's always just such a fun time to see really good tennis. So we went and we were sitting in like the you know big stadium one, and I got to see Novak Djokovic play, which was so fun. It was such a good match, and I remember looking around the stadium and seeing like that stadium that stadium was packed. Like I had been at a match earlier in the day, and the stadium was not as packed. And this match, it was packed full to the brim. And after the match, the commentator was interviewing Djokovic because he had won, and he was saying, you know, you've packed this stadium. There are 16,000 people in attendance right now in this stadium. And, you know, he's doing the interview, whatever, whatever. And as I'm thinking more, I'm like, oh my gosh, 16,000 people are in the stadium. And that's when it hit me. I do need to step back more often because he said 16,000 people are in the stadium, and that is about as many followers as I have across social media platforms, and it really put things into perspective for me because you guys, that stadium was packed, and I did not really comprehend. I'm not gonna lie, math's not my thing, okay? But I didn't comprehend just actually what that looks like. And when I realized that, I was like, oh my gosh, like I really need a huge perspective shift on this because this is actually massive growth that I've had in a short amount of time. So I was suddenly much more grateful for what I had built and what I had done and what I was capable of. And not only that, but it put me into this perspective of, oh my gosh, if this is what I've built, like I I know that I have this capability to serve more people and help more people and reach more people with this message. And it was just this huge unlock for me of my gosh, you have the ability to reach so many people and change so many people's lives. But had I not been sitting in that stadium and had the commentator not said that, I wouldn't have had the switch because I would still be sitting there going, Oh, you know, am I behind, or should I have, you know, done more by this point or whatever, whatever it is. So that is your example. And I want to give you an exercise to do in conjunction with this because I want you to look at the piece of growth that you feel like you should be further ahead on, whether that's in your career or starting the business or your social media platform or clients or whatever it is. And I want you to picture that number, really look at that number and picture that number in person. And if you need help, you can go to Chat GPT or you know, search online, like how many people is this? Like, give me a visual for it so you can really see it in perspective. Because I guarantee you, if you change the way you're looking at it and you take it out of comparison and you say, like, you know, I've helped 700 clients, like, what does that look like? Or I've had, you know, so so many thousand people buy my book or download my song or whatever it is, it's gonna give you that instant perspective shift. And what this is gonna do for you is it's going to flip your reticular activating system and help it filter for abundance instead of lack. And basically, what you're doing is attention training with this. So, this is a really easy exercise that anybody can do with whatever your metric is that you're currently working towards. So give that a try. And also just want to note that perspective shifting is not just a mindset trick, like it's not just like a, oh, just switch your thinking. Like, it's training your nervous system to expect expansion. These switches train your brain to collect evidence that your next level or your expansion is already unfolding. And when that happens, you're naturally going to take different actions. You're gonna notice different opportunities, you're gonna move differently, you're gonna reach out to different people, you're gonna take chances that maybe you wouldn't otherwise. And that's the piece where you want the attention training because the end result is this movement. So if you're feeling stuck or you're feeling like you're in a rut, or you're feeling like movement isn't happening, you don't need to change everything that you're doing. Sometimes you just need to change the way that you're looking at what you already have in your life. And once you can change that perspective, your brain is gonna start showing you so many more possibilities that were actually always there. You just couldn't see them yet. So your brain is always gonna find what it's trained to see, and the question then becomes what are you teaching it to look for? So I'm gonna leave you with that today. Try this exercise out, let me know how it goes, and I will see you in the next one.
