They say the truth shall set you free. But what if the truth is the very thing people are most afraid to face? What is the truth really? Is it honesty? Is it memory? Or is it simply the version of the story we can live with? Because the truth can be uncomfortable, the truth can ruin relationships, careers, reputations. Sometimes the truth can even change the way we see ourselves. And maybe that's why so many people spend their lives avoiding it. From the time we're children, we're taught to tell the truth, but somewhere along the way, we also learn when to stay quiet, when to soften the details, and when to leave certain parts out. Before long, the line between truth and survival starts to blur. In this upcoming episode of Never Have I Had the Urge, we explore lies, confessions, guilt, secrets, and the strange emotional weight that comes from carrying those things nobody else knows. Because sometimes people lie to protect themselves. Sometimes they lie to protect others. And sometimes they lie for so long they forget what the truth even sounds like anymore. This episode dives into the psychology behind deception, the fear of being exposed, the pressure to appear perfect, and the moments in life where telling the truth feels far more dangerous than the lie itself. And maybe the biggest question of all is this if the truth finally came out today, would the people around us still see us the same way? Season two, episode two, never have I had the urge to tell the truth. Drop in May 25th on BuzzSprout, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and wherever you get your podcast. Because behind every want lies an urge. Behind every urge, there's that need. Until next time, thanks for joining me on Never Have I Had the Urge.
