Welcome to the High Vibration Living Podcast. I'm your host, Chef Whitney Aronoff, health supportive chef, founder of Starsea Kitchen, and creator of nourishing food rooted in real ingredients, intuition, and intention. This podcast is a space where food, wellness, spirituality, and everyday living meet. We explore how what you eat, how you live, and what you believe all shape your energy, health, and overall sense of well-being. You have a physical body, a mental body, an emotional body, and a spiritual body. And all need to be recognized and nourished so you can feel balanced and truly thrive. Only you know what your body truly needs. Let this be your reminder that you already have the wisdom to tune in to your food, your self-care, and your spiritual practices and choose what supports you best. Through personal insights and conversations with experts across food, wellness, and spirituality, we'll explore how to nourish the physical, emotional, spiritual, and energetic layers of who you are so you can feel your best and live with clarity, vitality, and purpose. Let's get started. Hi, friends, welcome back to the High Vibration Living Podcast. I am joined today by my friend Lauren Fieldswell. She is the founder of Fieldswell, a wellness and personal growth brand rooted in psychology, identity expansion, and nervous system healing. Lauren's path has taken her from hospitality and wellness into earning her master's in psychology, speaking on the TEDx stage, and hosting conversations with global thought leaders on the Fields Well podcast. After overcoming a traumatic brain injury, she chose to rebuild her life not in spite of adversity, but because of it, transforming her healing journey into a mission to help others grow from the inside out. Through Fields Well Sanctuary, Fields Well Studios in Rancho Santa Fe, workshops, and psychology-driven coaching, Lauren supports entrepreneurs and leaders in creating sustainable success rooted in inner alignment. Today, in this conversation, we're talking about identity, nervous system safety, visibility, and what it really takes to build a brand and a career without burning out. I deeply admire Lauren. When you meet her, when you connect with her, when you listen to her on this podcast episode, I know you will feel the same way. She is a guiding light, and I love the work that she's doing, and she's really full of powerful wisdom and insights. And she is a great source if you're looking for a coach, someone to help you with direction. She is a great person to connect with. We are very much in alignment over the idea that if you have a limiting belief, there is a way to go around it, go above it, go below it, break through it. She's one of those people that if you know there's a direction that you want to go in life, but all you can see are all the blocks, all the ways that you're being forced to stop and you can't get there. She's a great person to work with to go beyond. So enjoy this episode. I know I did. Cheers. Hi, Lauren. Welcome to the High Vibration Living Podcast.

SPEAKER_01

Whitney, it is such an honor to be here. Thank you so much for having me. We're getting to turn the tables. I had you on fields well a few months back, and uh, I'm so excited to be interviewed by you today.

SPEAKER_00

And that's the joy of having you on here is you're a pro. And you have a fantastic podcast. You have an incredible studio, Dana Rancho Santa Fe, and you are also a coach. And so you work with people in helping them get more comfortable and more clear on how they're showing up online. So you're the perfect person to be connecting with at the beginning of this year as people are thinking about who they want to be in this world and how they want to be showing up.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, it really is your opportunity to step into a new identity for yourself right in this moment as you're listening to this episode.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and I think that's not just a theme of 2026 that a lot of astrologers and numerologists and just wise people are speaking about that what 2026 is gonna force us to be, is step into who we're really came here to be. Um, but I just think that just individually we're all kind of feeling that bubble up a little bit more, that we want to be able to be our authentic selves in every place we show up in life. Um, but yes, we can all get a little bit uncomfortable at times. We can feel our nervous system kind of tweaking, we can feel the fear bubble up. And so you're somebody that has a lot of tools to help people navigate and move through that so they can become who they came here to be.

SPEAKER_01

A hundred percent. And I'm so excited to get into it, Whitney. You know, a little background for me. I I got into this work through my own, you know, overcoming my own traumatic brain injury, horse accident, which which then had me dive into neuroscience and understand how the mind worked. And so the tools that I have are backed in neuroscience and psychology and a decade of studying different coaching programs and just kind of how to regulate your nervous system, how to not only construct a vision for your future, but actually actualize it.

SPEAKER_00

I want to know what is it like when someone reaches out to you and books a session with you for coaching? Whether it's just the initial consultation or someone's like, you know, I'm ready to evolve, I'm booking multiple sessions with Lauren. What does that first touch point look like? What are the type of questions that you're asking your client?

SPEAKER_01

So I'd say the biggest question is there's two questions. It's number one, the question a lot of us are avoiding asking ourselves, what is which is what do I really want in my life? And I ask clients that and they will tear up and say, I've never given myself like permission to ask myself that because I'm always so focused on pouring into others. And so I think for anyone who's listening, to really sit with yourself and say, what is it that I want for this chapter in my life? Have I thought through that? Have I sat with it? Have I have I explored that? Because oftentimes we're just running around on autopilot and we're not in alignment with the future that we desire for ourselves. So the first question is, what do I want? And once I have clients admit to me what it is they want, whether they want to start a branding business or that they want to, whatever it may be that they want to do, as soon as they admit it to me, it's really, it's like, then what are we waiting for?

SPEAKER_00

Is the question you often get from clients when they once they get that clarity, is I don't know where to start.

SPEAKER_01

You know, I I feel like I've been fortunate in that many of the clients who have come to me, they do have a vision of what they want to create. And they come to me because I can help them create it through, you know, the infrastructure we now have here with the recording studios, with workshops, with speaking opportunities and things like that. Um, but of course, there are individuals. I host many workshops here now, and people will say, this is really hard for me because I don't know what I want in this chapter. And so, where do I begin there? And I say, start asking the question, what do I want? And sit with it and don't put so much pressure on yourself to have an answer right away, but just keep asking yourself and see what comes up. Because for some people, this question is new. As I said, they haven't given themselves permission to ask that. And so just to start doing just to begin that inner journey to what lights me up.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and it that's a question that we need to ask ourselves and take inventory on more than just like every now and then it's uh it's like a quarterly check-in. Right. That's that's personally what I have found is it changes. Um, so I need to check in often and then God surrender if it wants to redirect.

SPEAKER_01

Oh yeah, you have to you we think we have control over how life is going to go, but I think realizing you don't have control and just acting on what lights you up in this moment and what you feel called to do in this moment, and realizing that you are going, there are going to be many different iterations and versions of you in this lifetime. And I think what keeps a lot of people stuck or feeling down is that they've outgrown the identity that they're still living in. And they feel uncomfortable stepping into a new identity because what will people think of me when I'm no longer this version of myself that everyone's comfortable with?

SPEAKER_00

What are often the baby steps that we need to take to step into a new identity? To like identify like the career change or the personal change that we need to make.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I mean, I think that the first step is going inward and checking in with yourself and saying, what do I want? Like, why do I want it? And what start to like sit with the vision of what that would look and feel like. So you can start to envision yourself as that person. How would they dress? How would they walk? How would they enter a room? Like, what would they embody and start to like act like that person today?

SPEAKER_00

That's a really good reminder. Putting our uniform on in the morning is really important and valuable. Yes. That's what helped me build my personal chef business as quickly as I did and really get over imposter syndrome was building the uniform and how I showed up at clients' homes. And I think what I've noticed over the past 10 years is I I identified the uniform and who I needed to be showing up at the client, but I forgot who and how I needed to show up in my life. And so all the energy went into the work as a chef, and I ignored the uniform of me in other areas. Does that make sense? Yes. It needs to be who you're showing up as 24 hours a day, seven days a week, not just when you walk into the office. Right.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, it's like this embodying this main character energy. Let's just say, for example, like you are listening to this podcast, you're turning the page, you're starting to write this next chapter of your life. What does that look like? What does it sound like? What is the script? And are you embodying that main character energy? And that character is consistently showing up as the chef, as the brand architect, as the realtor, whatever it may be that is next for you, how can you start to embody that in every area of your life now?

SPEAKER_00

So one thing that we're hearing a lot of people talk about is in order to step into being who that main character is you would like to be, you need to work on your nervous system. What does that even mean? Oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_01

So I think nervous system regulation is one of the ultimate luxuries. To me, that means feeling at home inside of yourself and having a sense of inner calm and like feeling safe in your body. So that is self-love. It's taking care of yourself. For me, that looks like routines and consistency, prioritizing a good night's sleep, paying attention to what foods I nourish nourish myself with, getting that daily workout in, having some sort of spiritual practice, whether through yoga, meditation, whatever it may be, but that is to me how I regulate my nervous system, as opposed to just going on like code red nonstop, neglecting my own self-care.

SPEAKER_00

So does that look like you building a morning and evening routine? Oh, yeah, huge. I'm big on morning and evening routines. And this is where I really want to dive in and learn more from you because I really admire like the personal brand you've built and the business you've built. And also you have a job where you're constantly helping other people. So that's why I really want to learn how do you come back to yourself and make sure you're taking care of yourself first. So break down your morning routine. I'm sure it's different every day of the week, but what's working for you right now?

SPEAKER_01

Sure. So I believe the day starts the night before. And so I want to start with the evening. And for me, that looks like putting my phone on Do Not Disturb and putting it in the kitchen to sleep at night. Because once I'm in my room, that's my sacred space. I think it was Jay Jay Shetty may have said this. When you're opening your phone in your bed, you're essentially allowing all of those individuals into your room, into your private space when you're like scrolling before bed or what have you. So I put my phone asleep in the kitchen, go in my room, dim the lights, light one of my favorite candles, you know, warm shower skincare routine. Then we're maybe doing some red light before bed, listening to some healing frequencies, or listening to some. I really love Neville Goddard for mindset work, listening to him and just kind of relaxing. Then I do a gratitude journal before bed, at least three things I was grateful for that day, just kind of running through my day and noticing things that happened that were miraculous. Then sleep is a huge priority. I have my aura ring here, which tracks my sleep. So I know I know that sleep makes one of the biggest differences. And if you're looking to regulate your nervous system, the biggest advice I would say is prioritize your sleep. I sleep with a sound machine, which is really helpful. And then I like the room like 68 degrees cooler. You're supposed to sleep a bit better. Um, waking up the morning routine, again, the phone isn't there. So there was a point where I was looking over, reaching over, immediately getting all those dopamine hits, looking at the apps. Like that's how I was starting my day. And when you don't have the phone there, you have the opportunity to begin your day with intention. Wake up with gratitude. Thank you for this day. Like this was not guaranteed another day. Wow, I get to live it. What do I want this day to look like? Who do I want to be today? How do I want to feel today? And beginning with intention. Um, you know, go and do some mirror work. I love you, Lauren. Thank you for showing up today. Then I go and I do my AG1 for my vitamins and nutrients, uh, the beverage, and then I'll do a matcha and get some electrolytes and go take my dog Ziggy out and get some sunlight.

SPEAKER_00

I'm big on getting the sunlight first thing in the morning as well. Um, a long walk around the block and just making sure my eyes get that sun while it's currently rising. I feel like it's one of the best medicines that you can do for your body and for your hormones and parts of you that you don't even understand need that check-in first thing.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah. I mean, if we got morning sunlight and then even if we were outside for sunset, like the world would be a completely different place. I think so too.

SPEAKER_00

So I try to get at least one of them, but the life goal is to be able to get both of them. Yes, life goals. Yeah, with you. A quick pause to share something I truly use and love. I'm Chef Whitney Arena. And as a personal chef, I began sharing my Starseed Kitchen organic spice blends with private clients when I couldn't find high-quality seasonings that met my standards for their meal prep. My clients are people who care deeply about what goes into their food and how it makes them feel, just like you. Every Starseed Kitchen blend is made with the highest quality organic spices with no added sugar, no MSG, no anti-caking agents, and no fillers. Just clean, real ingredients that support your body and elevate your cooking. Two of my most loved blends are 11 Magic Herbs and Spices, a go-to everyday seasoning that works on just about everything, and Starseed Kitchen Adobo, a light, bright, anti-inflammatory blend designed for modern, health-supportive cookie. Every jar is prepared with intention, charged with kundalini mantras, quartzgiza crystals, and blessed by a shaman. Because spices and the food you prepare with them are not just nourishment, they're a transfer of energy. You can find Starseed Kitchen Spices at all Erawan locations or online at starseedkitchen.com. Use code Starseed for 10% off your online order. Now let's get back to the conversation. How do you build out your day so you're not doing too much and you're not burning out? I think that's another thing that people are thinking about when it comes to their nervous system and evolving their career, their brand, their business, is knowing it's gonna take a lot of hours and there is potential that they're gonna burn out or have to make a lot of personal sacrifices. How do you approach conversations like that with your clients as well?

SPEAKER_01

So I believe a lot in like I don't love the word balance. I like the word harmony. I think at certain points of your life you're going to be devoting a lot more time to your business or to your family, just depending on what season you're in. So for me, I've known these past year or two years have been like full speed focus on the business to really get it off the ground. And that has looked like cutting other areas. Like I haven't, I'm not out late nights with friends, you know. I'm taking some weekends to myself just to focus on work and stay, stay regulated because it is very demanding. It is stressful to build a new business and go all in on something that doesn't exist yet. But you really just have to ask yourself, like, you just have to keep checking in with you and saying, how does this feel? Like, are you feeling so stressed? Are you feeling burnt out? Monitor that. And one thing, what need I want to say, is oftentimes when we're starting to feel stressed or burnt out, we think, okay, let me add more, let me like add on some more things here. Like maybe I need like more, like, you know, some acupuncture, some like meditation, some yoga, some this. It's like, wait, maybe we need to do less. Like, what can we look at on your calendar and like take some things out? What's actually mandatory for you? Like, do you need to be on that call? Do you need to go to that 6 a.m. workout, or do you actually need another hour of sleep? Like, we are the master of our human being, of our reality. And I think it's really important to start to take accountability for that instead of like just going code red and burning out and then being like, what happened? It's like you're driving the ship. Yes.

SPEAKER_00

And you nailed it perfectly. I'm actually working out less than I used to. I'm not getting up and going to the early morning workouts like I did for over 20 years. I'm not booking as many lunches. I'm doing less of that. And I am so much happier. I feel better. I look better. Um, I just reached a point where my body said, we can't get up anymore to run out the door to get to that class. It's actually, am I happier because I did that? No. I'm actually like angrier and more frustrated that I did.

SPEAKER_01

It really works. It's so true. And it's so easy to compare yourself to someone else's highlight reel, being like, wow, they have their, they have everything together. They're hitting all the workouts or eating all the meals. Like, just put your blinders on and focus on your life and what you need. No one else is you, and that is your power. So figure out how to master your system, your human, and then go from there.

SPEAKER_00

What are some mistakes that you're seeing founders, entrepreneurs, brand managers make when when they start to step out and build their brand or build their new business?

SPEAKER_01

Being too, I would say like being too cautious or waiting too long to put themselves out there. I I don't really think it's like as long as you're taking action and you're in their arena, I don't think it's a mistake. I think that's all just gonna give you information. And the way that you improve is by actually doing the thing. And so you'll get more information, you'll get more data the more you start showing up online and talking about your brand or business. I think we're in a really big era of founder-led brand brands right now. Like people want to see the face of the brand showing up and talking about who they are, why they've created it, what why they're doing what they're doing, because that's really what magnetizes and draws you in.

SPEAKER_00

That's a really good point and a good reminder. And I feel like that's what we need and why having a coach is so important because it helps you see where you're blocked and it helps you get out of your own way. Um, I think there's nothing more valuable than having coaching from time to time. Um, do you have a coach or have you had coaches in the past that have helped you kind of get to where you are?

SPEAKER_01

I've had many coaches, and I'm a big believer in having a coach. There's this saying that you can't read the label when you're inside the box. And so I think having a coach is one of the best investments you can make because they can really help you shortcut shortcut the process and the path to success. And big on mentorship, like I have many mentors, and mentors don't always have even have to be, you know, they could have been people who live who aren't even alive anymore, but reading their books, listening to their recordings, like find someone who has already done what you're looking to do and follow the steps.

SPEAKER_00

I've actually heard many people just in interviews talk about that they saw someone when they were in college, they admired their career, and they kind of reverse engineered what that person did to get there, and it worked for them. It's really fascinating. Um Right. Are there particular books or recordings or podcasts that you are listening to or that you recommend to your clients?

SPEAKER_01

So I would say The Untethered Soul is one of my all-time favorite books by Michael A. Singer. When I was going through a really difficult time, that book uh that book really changed the game for me, and I recommend it to anyone and everyone. Um, The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey is a really old, great one. Uh, Think and Grow Rich is another one. Outwitting the Devil, both Napoleon Hill books. But they're really the the last two that I mentioned are so big on mindset, and I believe everything exists twice. First, it exists as an idea or a vision in your mind, and then it exists in reality. So if you understand that everything starts here, it's so important to really pay attention to how you're thinking about yourself and what's possible and to develop a growth mindset. What's a growth mindset? A growth mindset is a mindset where you believe that you're capable of achieving, of achieving whatever you set out to do, as opposed to believing there's a fixed mindset where there's a ceiling on what you're capable of and what's possible in your life.

SPEAKER_00

And when someone can't see beyond a certain level, how can they get advice or visuals or ideas from someone so they can expand past that? Do you know what I'm saying? You know, when people, when you feel stuck and you're like, I all I can see is this, but I kind of know that there's more out there. How do I expand my brain to see other opportunities?

SPEAKER_01

I go into the psychology and the neuroscience behind thought. So if we have 60 to 70,000 thoughts today in the science, sorry, 60 to 70,000 thoughts a day and the Science says that up to 90% of those thoughts are repetitive and up to 80% are negative. It's important to look at your own thinking and understand how the brain works and that it's designed to keep you safe. And so when you're having fear or thinking you're not capable, that's just your amygdala trying to keep you safe. So we are we have outdated programming that was designed to keep us safe in the wild and not be eaten by a lion, but we're treating perceived social threats the same way when we really don't need to be as fearful of taking action towards our goals. And I so I really believe the way you become less fearful and start to have more of a growth mindset is just to understand how the mind works. Because once you have the science, you can say, oh wait, you're right. Like I can challenge this thought. It isn't actually true. Maybe I believe that from my childhood when someone was mean to me or told me I couldn't, maybe it's time for me to update that programming. I like to say, like, how often do you update your iPhone or your laptop at least every two, three weeks, every month? How often are you updating your own programming?

SPEAKER_00

So how do you switch negative thoughts to positive thoughts? Like if you find that you're ruminating in your head on a drive or on your walk, what are little things that you do to just tell yourself, nope, we're keeping it positive? Nope, that's an old story.

SPEAKER_01

Oh yeah. This is so important. And I think it's just a thought swap. So cognitive restructuring, essentially, you're saying, say the thought is this will never work. I'm not gonna try this, this will never work. What if we were to think, what if we thought this instead? What if it turns out better than I ever could have imagined? Because this will never work. How can you prove that to be true until you try? So any thought, it's just a mindset shift away from another thought. And so one exercise that I do with myself and with clients, if I'm having this thought that's really like a thought that's not in alignment with where I want to go or who I want to become, I ask myself, what is the actual reality that I want to happen instead? I close the deal. Um, the book is a bestseller, whatever it may be, then start writing that down.

SPEAKER_00

That's a great idea. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Instead of letting that negative thought ruminate in your mind, start writing down the thought that's exactly what you actually want and start focusing on that and envisioning it and repeating it and living in it and bringing it into your orbit.

SPEAKER_00

So, what are different wellness practices or tools you have in your tool belt right now that you're doing to keep yourself physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually feeling good? What are little things that you trickle into your week?

SPEAKER_01

So I just said this fields well 30 to start the new year off strong, and I'll run you through those principles. So it was 30 days of no alcohol, 30 days of a work, a 30-minute workout every day. So that could have been walking, Pilates, yoga, whatever it may be. It was 10 minutes of morning mindset. It was um nutrient-dense whole foods, 80-20 rule, because I do love food, love to have a little fun there. And then it was evening gratitude. So that for me was such an incredible start to the year. And just to prove to yourself you can do that for 30 days, it wasn't very challenging. Like I was looking at 75 hard and I was like, I don't need to work out for 50 minutes twice a day and like go this hard, but I want something that is structured. And so it's really, it doesn't have to be that challenging. It's it's the mindset work, it's the movement, you know, the sleep is then great because you're not drinking alcohol and you're moving every day. Um, the gratitude is so huge. And I'm big on prayer. Like when I sit down at the table to eat, I give thanks for the meal for my day. And I think once you start appreciating all that you have around you, you start to notice so much more to be grateful and give thanks for.

SPEAKER_00

When it comes to that gratitude journal at night, is there a particular journal that you recommend people order or buy, or can they just take a piece of paper and write down three things that they're grateful for for the day?

SPEAKER_01

So mine is just a Fieldswell journal. It's just blank pages. So you really don't need some special gratitude journal, but if you prefer a guided one, I'm sure there are plenty out there. I don't have a specific one to recommend, but you could literally just have a notepad or a piece of paper and write down. Um, another one for me is I'm big on affirmations, the I am statements, because I believe whatever you say after I am causes an activation in you. So saying things to yourself in the morning like I am love, I am light, I'm abundant, I am worthy, I attract everything I desire, I'm a magnet for aligned opportunities. Program for the identity that you are stepping into for the person that you're becoming, because you're really programming yourself. So paying so much attention to what you're thinking about yourself and how you speak to and of yourself. Dr.

SPEAKER_00

Lovery has a song on Spotify. You can find it and it's long and it's all these positive affirmations with the right frequency music behind it. And so if you're going for a massage or if you're going into the sauna, you can play that and it essentially does the work for you. You can physically relax, you know, and doze off, but now that's playing in the background. And I have found when I use those tools, it changes my life and moves it in a super positive direction. I went when I lived in Washington, D.C. before I went to culinary school, for a year I played certain frequency music at night while I slept on the absolute lowest volume, and my life moved at lightning speed in such a positive way. And it's really something that I need to do again. It's so incredible.

SPEAKER_01

I love that story that you shared on Fieldswell as well. It really helped you gain clarity and align with your desired reason.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, there's these low effort tools that we can sneak into our life that can just get us on the track faster.

SPEAKER_01

Right. Like in your wind-down routine, put on some healing frequencies, or when you're getting ready in the morning, or when you're driving to work.

SPEAKER_00

The only thing that has stopped me from doing that is I don't bring my phone into the bedroom. So I I have a similar I have I have Alexa. Got it. I need to figure out how to load up some music and just leave it on a little speaker so it's in there. So I just press play. Um, I have a mantra box in in in different parts of the house. I just need to build another mantra box. Um, so you just walk up, press play, the music's already loaded on there. Um, and then you're not bringing any other tech into the room. Is there any goal setting or planning that you like to do for your year ahead?

SPEAKER_01

So I do love to make a vision board at the end of every year, and that has images of what I intend to bring into my life and accomplish in the year ahead. Because when you program your mind with the image of what you're looking to call in, it starts to notice the people, places, and things around you that can help make it a reality because it works literally on overtime trying to help you achieve your goals. If it doesn't know where you're going, you're walking blind. So the more you can program your mind and hold the vision of where you'd like to go and what you want to create, the more success, the more opportunities, the more individuals you'll notice around you who can help you make that a reality. So I'm big on the vision board. And then yeah, I write down my top 10 goals. And what I have heard is really helpful is circling the top three and focusing on those three. Because sometimes when you're focused on so many different things, it can feel overwhelming. Start with the first three, focus on the first three goals. Like, what are the top three things you want to happen in this season? And then another thing that um was helpful is closing your eyes and envisioning you're at the end of 2026. Where are you? What are you wearing? How do you feel in your body? Who are you with? And who are you calling with great news? And what is that news?

SPEAKER_00

It's so interesting. Just thinking about that makes me realize I'm not putting energy into what's gonna get me there. I'm spending my day keeping me in the life that I have, not in the life that I want to have. Do you hear that a lot? You have to hold, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And I think it can be it can be intimidating. And some people can see it so clearly, like, I know exactly where I want to be, who I want to be with, what that news is. Some people are like, I don't even know. And some people, it's like, okay, doing more and achieving more isn't always the definition of success. Like some people in this season of life, maybe they want to slow down, maybe they want to be more present, maybe they want more self-love, while maybe someone else wants to build this mega business and sell it, you know, like each you're you have to decide what what would make this year a success for you. Not for Sarah, not for Susan, not for Joel, but for you. What do you really want? What do you need from this chapter?

SPEAKER_00

All right. I'm gonna have to go sit quietly and um and think about that a lot and kind of spend some days turning off social media so I don't envision what other people are creating, what other people want for themselves. I feel like that's important too. If you're looking at images of how everybody else is living, then you can get swept up in someone else's vision.

SPEAKER_01

Totally. And I think for me, you know, we're talking about this earlier, mentors and coaches. Like there are a few women, like powerhouse women that I really look up to who have built mega brands, given like Emily Ford or Lauren Bostick, like they are total inspirations for me and they show me that they're they're an example of what's possible when you go all in on your dream or vision. Do I want to be either of them? No, I want to take my own path and find my unique expression. But am I very inspired and impressed by what they've built a thousand percent. And so to look at what they've done and how they've created it is really, really helpful. So for anyone listening, when you have an idea of what it is you want to do, find someone who is who has done it and see how they did it.

SPEAKER_00

It's great advice. You know, I always say it's it's easier for me to do this with business than with people, is like find three examples. So if you're creating a podcast, if you're creating a spice brand, if you're creating a CPG product, find three brands that you admire and then, you know, figure out different parts of their business that they built in order to get where they're at. I think it's a different idea and concept to look at the people who have built personal brands or lives that you admire and then pull from that. That's a really that's a new thing that I really need to do.

SPEAKER_01

Another thing, Whitney, that I think is gonna be helpful for our listeners is really to sit with the fact that like we don't know how much longer we have left to live. We're we're treating life like we have forever. Like maybe one day I would love to do this. Maybe someday I hope this happens. It's like, no, no, no, no. How can you start working towards that today? Because at the end of this road, I want you to look back on your life and say, I'm so glad I tried. I'm so glad I got that information. I'm so glad I pursued that. I was in the arena, not the one who is too afraid, standing on the sidelines and never even found out what I was capable of. Absolutely.

SPEAKER_00

Absolutely. I know I'm 44 years old. I already can look back and think, gosh, why was I so quiet? Why did I play small? Why did I allow other people to step forward when I could have? You know, you I already look back on my 20s and 30s and wish I would have pushed through fears in different areas. And so definitely when I think about that, I don't want to do that another day moving forward.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I think expressing yourself is so healing. When we first opened Fieldswell Well Wellness Sanctuary, it was about inner transformation. And this Fields Well Studios now is express yourself beyond that. So come do that inner work, get clear on your goals, your vision, like come home to yourself, decide what you want to build or create, and then start to create it. And that's where I see the real transformation happen, is when individuals start expressing themselves and start showing up online and start talking about their story and the and the future that they're building.

SPEAKER_00

So one of the things that I enjoy about following you and connecting with you is you sharing your life and how you're living in San Diego. And I personally, whenever I tune into podcasts or follow people on social media, I love learning about the places that they're going and the businesses that they're connecting with in order to, you know, enjoy life. So I'd love to know from you are there particular restaurants or hotels or uh wellness spots in San Diego that you love visiting that always lift your spirits?

SPEAKER_01

There are. So we're right here on the main street of town in Rancho Santa Fe. Across the street, we have my dear friend Kyle Frakes, who you know, who just opened Moonlight Longevity. So there's a longevity clinic across the street from Fieldswell here, IVs, peptides, Botox, filler, Morpheus, all the things. So he's wonderful. Then a block away from that, we have the inn in Rancho Santa Fe, which is a historic hotel, which is kind of like our second home and meeting spot. So I highly recommend if you're in Rancho Santa Fe, visiting the inn at Rancho Santa Fe. Maybe you go to Lillian's for dinner or visit their spa. Another amazing destination resort is Rancho Valencia, which is five minutes from where we are here. You feel like you're in Bali when they're in their yoga pavilion or spa. Incredible fitness classes, great restaurant called the Pony Room. Another dinner spot I love is called the Market Restaurant. Very good. Sit at their bar, eat off their sushi menu. And then I'm big in fitness. So but I like to go to different studios all the time just to get different workouts in. I love Rebel Boot Camp. It's kind of like a berries. Um, my friend Sabrina owns a private Pilates studio called Body by You. And so those are my two favorites right now. You have to hike Tory Pines, it's a beautiful outdoor hike.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you guys have a lot of great things coming out in San Diego, especially in the area that you're in. Great restaurants, great fitness locations, great wellness spas. It's a really good time to be in that part of San Diego.

SPEAKER_01

I love San Diego. You know, for a while, I'm I was born and raised right here. It felt like going backwards, but there's something to building where you're from. And let me tell you, San Diego is on the rise. There are so many powerful, especially powerful female entrepreneurs like right in this bubble right here that I'm so inspired by. And so I'm really grateful to be here.

SPEAKER_00

I would agree. And I'm constantly trying to find reasons and ways to go down to San Diego because I see the same thing. Um, there's a real great energy bubbling up.

SPEAKER_01

Well, we're about to plan a dinner together soon. We have to.

SPEAKER_00

And um, we'll be inviting all the listeners to join us because I just I love I love cooking food for like-minded people um and people that you know want to feel good in their body but enjoy a nourishing meal and have some like deep conversation.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah, I'm so excited. You came and uh at our Fields Well and Friends event event and made the most incredible spread. Thank you. People are still talking about it.

SPEAKER_00

Thank you. We like to incorporate crystals everywhere we can because that just adds to it as well. Um, but I I love people, I love that people are wanting to connect more with food and making it beautiful too. I know I keep having this vision of doing this like incredible fish curry. Um I don't know why. I keep thinking when I do our dinner, I want to do some sort of beautiful bowl um with vegetables and broth and protein because I'm finding that deeply nourishing right now. Um, it's the perfect support for um just that digestive fire, keeping you grounded, but also making sure that when you wake up in the morning, you still feel light and fresh and ready to go. Are there particular foods I love a good Yeah, I do too. Are there particular foods that are really um working for you right now in this, you know, late winter, not quite spring yet?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so I mean I can't say that I'm big on seasonal eating. I'm pretty like, I don't know if regimented is the right word, but actually what it's hitting right now, I'm loving um, I want to say Elizabeth, is it maybe Elizabethan oatmeal in the morning, and I make it with fresh almond butter, oatmeal, uh, sorry, fresh almond butter, blueberries, and bananas with honey on top. And that has really been hitting the spot. So I'll do that, or I'll do fresh sourdough bread, toasted avocado on it with an egg. That's the it's between one of those two for breakfast. Um, then I love a salad for lunch, and then I am a I eat a lot of steak. So for dinner it's normally like steak, uh sweet potato, broccoli.

SPEAKER_00

We eat very similar. I do um warm potatoes and eggs in a little skillet for breakfast. Um, or I do a sweet potato with avocado, arugula, and an egg. Like that's what's working for me for breakfast. I love I just love a salad for lunch and protein. And then dinner is usually something with beef and vegetables, whether it's ground beef. I love it. We're very similar. That's what's really working for me right now. And I've never I mean, I feel amazing. Like, and then my treat every now and then is a date or chocolate.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, delicious. My my friend owns this cookie business called Cocoa Cakes, and they're vegan protein cookies. I'm actually addicted to them. I order a ton and keep them in my freezer, and I'll just break off pieces for dessert at the end of the day. They are to die for, and they're cookies where I eat them when I actually feel good afterward. Like if I have a regular cookie, I don't feel well. These, because I've really clean ingredients, are so, so, so delicious, and I highly recommend.

SPEAKER_00

That's a perfect reminder. If you love something and it's not working for you anymore, it's not making you feel good, you just need to find the alternative. You need to play with the ingredients. Doesn't mean you need to give up what you love, but you can't keep fueling yourself with something that's not working with your system. It's like continuing with habits and practices and going to a gym or a yoga class that you actually hate, um, but yet you keep going, you you got to upgrade. It's like an opportunity for an upgrade.

SPEAKER_01

And you know, like tune in, listen to your body. How can you create an environment around yourself or where you spend your time that mirrors like who you want to become? Yeah. So if you want to get in shape, how can you fill, like, for example, I go to the farmer's market every Sunday. So there's fresh food throughout my kitchen. When I'm looking for a snack, I can go grab something healthy that's not just junk food in the shelves. Like, how can you create the environment that supports who you're looking to become?

SPEAKER_00

That's it's such a great reminder. And it's time for me to upgrade my vision board. I put a vision board on the wall. Um, so when I wake up out of bed, it's right there. So I could see it every morning and every night. But we need to upgrade what's going on there so it reflects really who I want to step into being this year.

SPEAKER_01

Amazing. Send me a photo when you do that upgrade. I'm here to hold you accountable. I will.

SPEAKER_00

And there's nothing more valuable than an accountability coach.

SPEAKER_01

Huge. Here's something I love to do with my clients. I'll have them script the month ahead. So say it's say it's February 1st. I know we're a little bit beyond that, but just say it's the first of the month. Script how your month is going to go and say it like, for example, February was one of the most successful months of my life. I closed five new clients. I made, you know, many great friends. The more specific you can be, the better. Um, I closed this deal, I got lost three pounds. Like I felt at home within myself. Like, I'm so grateful for the journey I'm on. Write out how you want your month to go, as if it has already happened, and read it to yourself every day. And I'll have my clients send me the script for their month ahead. And at the end of the month, we'll go over it together.

SPEAKER_00

So if somebody works with a life coach, how many days a week should they expect to be connecting with that coach?

SPEAKER_01

So, I mean, for me, it's normally I'm meeting with my clients once a week. I normally give them kind of things to work on in between that. I'm accessible to them beyond that, but it's normally like we meet when we're together in person.

SPEAKER_00

And then how many months do you suggest somebody consider working with a coach in order to see the changes that they're wanting to make in their life?

SPEAKER_01

I would say starting with a three-month period is a great foundation. Three to six months. And my my vision for you is not to need a coach forever. It's really just to help you build the foundation for this next chapter identity that you're stepping into. And then you can just do occasional sessions as needed. Um, but it's cool what we've created here because you can do the personal coaching and then we can help you build your personal brand. So you're you're coming in here to film elevated content for yourself and your socials. Very cool.

SPEAKER_00

That's really neat. And that's exactly what you need sometimes is someone to tell you these are all the things that I see you. As a leader, in let me ask you questions and guide you so we can get that out of you. Because I feel like oftentimes it's hard for us to share what we're experts at because we just assume everybody else knows it.

SPEAKER_01

Right. And it's interesting, you know, I've had founders who are making six, seven figures, successful businesses, but then we'll put them on camera and they'll freeze and they can't tell me what they do. And so there's a lot of work to be done there. And I think, you know, being on camera and being visible, it's a skill that can be trained. And so it's so helpful to have someone in here asking you the right questions, kind of interviewing you who has done it, who's comfortable, and can just help guide you. I needed that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. It's great practice and it's great skill and it's the life that we are now living in. So you can't run away from it.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, how is anyone gonna buy from you if they don't know you exist or what you do?

SPEAKER_00

Exactly. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I wait, I waited. I was like, oh, I have a beautifully curated Instagram feed. People will just reach out to me to try and work with me. That's just not how it works.

SPEAKER_00

What did you do that you felt like moved the needle the most?

SPEAKER_01

Uh boldly just showing up online and sending it. I like to say send it. Like you posting reels, talking about your story, getting clear on what your story is and having it be in alignment with where you're going and who you're trying to become. Some of us need to go back and rewrite our story. Because maybe our story is keeping us stuck. Maybe we've never thought about how we could write our story in a way that it makes sense to where we're trying to go or who we want to help. So I think looking at this jewel, you're telling yourself about what happened. Oftentimes it's not what happened that's keeping you stuck. It's this jewelry you're telling yourself about it. I heard someone say nothing bad has ever happened to me. I think of everything that's ever happened in a way of what was the learning? How can this help me grow? And just giving thanks for every experience. And I think that's so powerful because sometimes we're so quick to label something good or bad where, okay, we thought this thing was bad, but two years later we're like, I'm so glad that happened.

SPEAKER_00

Absolutely. It's hard, but it's that little opportunity to look at it a new way is always there. It's always there. Well, where can people connect with you and learn from you and get in touch if they want to work with you?

SPEAKER_01

Sure. So I'm most active on my personal Instagram, which is my name, Lauren Fields. There's also the Fieldswell Instagram. You can tune into the Fieldswell podcast. We're live on all platforms Spotify, Apple, YouTube, you name it, or you can visit Fieldswell.com. You can visit us in person at our headquarters here in Rancho Santa Fe. We host a lot of fun different events and workshops that we'd love to welcome you to.

SPEAKER_00

You really do. It's really impressive. And can you leave the listener with one last health, wellness, or mental tip that they can consider adding into their life?

SPEAKER_01

Sure, I would say you're with the person that you're gonna spend the rest of your life with, and that's you. So make it a priority to begin that journey into yourself to come home to you, to regulate your nervous system, because everything on the outside is a mirror of your internal state. So instead of trying to fix everything outside of you and change all these things, fill yourself up with so much love and joy and passion, and the whole world around you will shift.

SPEAKER_00

That's fantastic advice. And I am looking forward to re-listening to this episode. I learned so much from you today and so much visualization work that I need to bring into my life. So thank you. This is it's still the beginning of the year. It's the perfect time to visualize. Um, but this has been a great reminder to me that every time's a great time to visualize. Every time, every day, there's an opportunity to pause and think about like, are you really putting effort into creating the life that you want to be living? Are you just moving through, you know, the motions?

SPEAKER_01

The accountability piece, Whitney. Thank you so much for having me. You're so wonderful. I can't wait to see you again and for us to create together. Absolutely. Thank you.
