What's up, guys? This is gonna be a little impromptu podcast. I just have some energy. I need to move. I will say I did wait a good while before I started recording this because earlier I was like it's definitely coming at this with like quite a bit of spice, which I don't think is necessarily wrong, but it's again, it's like I mean, I love a little bit of righteous rage, I love a little bit of indignation as much as the next person. But for the sake of progress, for the sake of healing, for the sake of changing the world, you know, hate and spiciness isn't gonna counteract the hate and spiciness that already exists. So even if I sound spicy as I'm saying what I'm about to say, even if I catch a little bit of an attitude, know that it is with love that I'm saying what I'm about to say. Okay. So what had happened was um I was on the socials and I saw that um Forbes, maybe the New York Times, I don't remember all of the outlets, but they were doing these stories about upcoming changes with the um Department of Education and how that affects borrowers and their repayment plans, et cetera. And I went into the comments, and one of the comments I saw was about, you know, the government bailed out the auto industry with their whatever loans that they took out. Like, surely there's enough money, surely they could find a way to forgive. Forgive. I don't even like that word. Surely they could find a way to satisfy student loan debt. And then there was another comment that was like, yo, if we have enough money to be in this stupid war with Iran after all these whatever, again, like surely there's money and resources that could be allocated to education, et cetera. And I mean, I don't disagree with that. Like, yeah, surely there is. But the reason I'm recording a podcast is because, oh, guys, like I know you guys probably know this. I feel that it is worth me saying and pulling on the thread, though. None of that is on accident. None of that is on accident. It's not an overlooked, it's not an oversight in the budget. It's not a, oh, someone's not thinking about this critically, someone's not strategizing in the best way. Like, surely that, like, of course, there's enough money, and it is not on accident that it is not being used in this way.

SPEAKER_01

Let's talk about it.

SPEAKER_00

Immediately, what came up for me as I'm reading these comments, and like just I mean, it's not explicitly because of the comments, but just immediately what comes up for me. Let's ask ourselves, when else in history has education been specifically gatekeeped? And then from there, it's worth considering why a capitalistic hellhole of a society and government would want to continue to keep education trapped behind a paywall and or require people to enslave themselves into high-interest, already high-priced loans in order to access it. Okay. On the topic of education being gatekeeping, this country, this system knows that education is dangerous, right? It radicalizes people. Educated people are incredibly hard to manipulate. And capitalism, in and of itself, in my opinion, is one giant manipulation. The way that our society operates is one gigantic manipulation. And it is much harder to get away with that manipulation when people can A, consume data, have access to information, and then when they can B, critically think about the data that they are being presented with, which is quite literally the skill set you learn in college. That's what college, that's what higher education should do for you. And it is this same reason that enslaved people were forbidden by law to read and to write, etc. One thing I want to zero in on regarding this point, education, like I feel like some people may come at this from the approach of like, oh yeah, like education is elitist, and you know, it's about like what's messed up about it is like wanting to have certain people be able to have a leg up opportunity-wise by being able to invest in education. And like, is that a part of it? Like, yeah, I think that's a fair argument. Like, yeah, like agreed, like the higher the education you've received, you know, you could argue like the the better the opportunities that you're gonna have, et cetera, et cetera. But if you think that the real reason, the powers that be, and capitalism at large doesn't want the general public to be educated and to be able to critically think about the data that they are have access to consume is because the wrong subset of people will have the wrong opportunities and will be able to have certain jobs. Like, no, no, no, no, no. Like that is not that is not why education is so dangerous and radical. It has nothing to do with that. The main point, the main point is keeping people in the dark about how capitalism is absolutely fucking them so that the manipulation can continue, so that people can continue getting away with it. Same thing with keeping slaves ignorant. It didn't have to do with like, oh, oh my gosh, my ear is ringing out of control. Whoa. Whoa. Okay, keeping slave people illiterate and again, like threatening their lives, their physical health, etc. I have to sneeze. Sorry. Threatening enslaved people for again, like, should they be able to, should they educate themselves, should they learn how to read and write and have an education? It doesn't have to do with skill set. It doesn't have to do with the technical skills of being able to read and being able to write. It has to do with the liberation that comes along with being educated, the critical thinking, the pattern recognition. And again, when you become educated, harder to manipulate. Harder to manipulate. Slavery, one giant manipulation. Capitalism, one giant manipulation. And it's really hard to get away with when people know what you're up to. Okay, but these are modern times, right? I'm using the word modern ironically. These are modern times, allegedly. So why in modern times would our shady society, government, whatever, be so against not even just loan forgiveness. Why would it be against like free higher education? Okay. How about because we're still being absolutely fucked? But in order to do that, they just have to be more clever about it. They're just trying to be more clever about it. Capitalism is not remotely sustainable. And now that we're in the late stages of that, it is so sadistically laughable at how obvious that is to anybody that is remotely educated and aware. And so, in that way, a capitalist government would be highly incentivized to have a poorly educated population so that they can essentially continue to piss on them and tell them that it's raining, on one hand. But again, the government can't just come out and flat out say, like, hey guys, like we'd really prefer if you didn't educate yourselves. So on the other hand, for the people that it cannot manipulate via exploitation of ignorance, it is largely trying to manipulate everybody else via money. Yes, the government could absolutely, if it wanted to, wipe out student loan debt and mass. But then how would they have the power to manipulate so many people? Capitalism needs cheap labor. It needs worker bees, it needs a workforce. And honestly, better yet, if a lot of that workforce can be highly capable, highly educated people, skillful people, masters of their crafts, masters of their crafts, but also desperate for money, desperate to try to get out of debt for something that they were encouraged to do in the first place, which I'll get into in a second. Let's put a pin in that. Let's reflect back to how this works with slavery. People think that, like, oh, slaves were stupid, slaves were dumb. You know, that's why white people thought black people were inferior, because they like they just thought they were dumb, like bullshit. Slaves were incredibly skilled. And it was in the best interest of the owners that they were highly skilled. If the black people were just dumb, if the slaves were just dumb, then they would not have gone out of their way to make education illegal. You get that, right? It would have been a moot point if it was a matter of, oh, they're just dumb. They were not dumb.

SPEAKER_01

Slaves having an education gives them the rhetoric, the critical thinking, the language, etc., in order to advocate for their freedom, which would change everything.

SPEAKER_00

And when you are a society predicated on slavery, you don't want anything to change. The same shit is going on now. Capitalism is so deeply unsustainable and unfair inherently, and it's dangerous for people. It's dangerous to the system for people to be awake and aware of that and actually have the power to do something about it. And so on one hand, it'd be really great if people were just too dumb to put two and two together. But on the other hand, if they are going to invest in their education, then we better incentivize them to play into the system or die. And capitalism doesn't care if you are awake to how messed up it is, as long as you feel like you are too powerless to do anything about it. And in a society that equates money to power, if you don't have any, you're probably feeling like, well, then I guess I just can't do anything about it. I guess I'm just at the mercy of blah blah. And so back to the whole, again, capitalism needs a workforce. The billionaires that worked so hard to get where they are today. That's so it's like saying this the slave owners that worked incredibly hard to build their empires. It was really, really hard work for them to have hundreds of slaves working on their plantations for literally no money. That was super hard work they were doing. That's the same shit. Who would these billionaires be without their thousands of employees working for less than a living wage?

SPEAKER_01

Exactly.

SPEAKER_00

So, anyway, we have all these people, but in particular, the people who invested in education, took out federal student loans, were encouraged to do so, encouraged to do something that our society has intentionally normalized doing, not for no reason. As a big F you, as a big, if you're gonna be educated and hard to manipulate because you're no longer ignorant, well, we're gonna make you really easy to manipulate. We're gonna take your perception of power away by putting you in debt. They're literally counting on you to go broke, counting on you to be desperate for a job that you are way more than qualified for because they don't care. Capitalism needs a cheap labor, it needs a workforce. And you treading water for the rest of your life, trying to pay off, trying to pay off student loans that are literally intentionally impossible to pay off, is how they ensure their workforce. What if I told you they cared more about you feeling like you need to work for the rest of your life to pay off? They care more about your labor than they do the actual money that you are spending to pay off your loans. They care about your labor more than your money. It is implicit slavery. And oh, by the way, it's a crime to be poor in this country. So heaven forbid your free payment, delinquency, whatever, heaven forbid you end up in jail, right? Because that's where the explicit slavery still exists.

SPEAKER_01

But these are modern times.

SPEAKER_00

Anyway, all this to say, not on accident, that education in particular is stupid expensive. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: the government is absolutely fine with you being educated as long as you feel like you are too broke, therefore too powerless to do anything about it, to instigate any real changes against the system. And also, they're doing everything they can to make it so that when you talk about it, you sound like a delusional, quote-unquote woke, quote-unquote radical conspiracy theorist. Anyway, um, if this audio rant remotely interests you, I would shuffle you to listen to the podcast episode I did in May, out with the old paradigm, in with the new, if you haven't listened to it already. I would also even, I would also even send you way back to the beginning. The two podcast episodes that started this whole thing. Um, hindsight is 2025, parts one and two, literally my first two episodes. Yeah, like I said, stay woke, y'all. All right.
