Catching Up And Listener Reactions

SPEAKER_00

She said what she said. Welcome to episode eight. So what are we talking about this episode, Ani?

SPEAKER_01

I don't know. I feel like we can keep going with our interesting conversations. You know?

SPEAKER_00

Talking talking about interesting conversations. I was literally talking with my friends and stuff the other day, and every time I do, they refer like something we have talked in the episode, previous episodes.

SPEAKER_01

Wow. We're getting that payment.

SPEAKER_00

Not sure. Because like literally, I was talking with my cousin, uh they live in somewhere else, and she was like, Oh, here comes she said what she said. I'm like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, what was this about?

SPEAKER_01

I think it's funny because I do have people that tend to listen on every time we posted, they listen to it, and then they'll make certain comments, and I'm like, Oh, she's like, Yes, I was into the last episode.

SPEAKER_00

And I'm like, Exactly. It's nice. I feel like yeah, go ahead. Thanks. That's what I actually I was gonna say. The same thing. It's nice to see, uh, but also sometimes I get so awkward because um, when it's just me and you talking into this microphone, I don't feel like this pressure of like, oh, other people are gonna like listen to this, maybe, or it's like I just say whatever comes to my mind because I'm like, it's you, you know what I mean?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but then how many people understand you like understand us and agree with our points? I'm like, okay, right, exactly. We're not doing that bad after all, exactly.

SPEAKER_00

That's why I'm like, oh, okay, so you listen to it actually.

SPEAKER_01

So yeah, but one of the funny things that have been happening to me lately is the people that haven't listened to it yet, but then they've heard comments between me and others about the episodes, and then I do something and they're like, Oh, is that in reference of episode one or episode two? Or and I'm like, I'm like, oh god, they haven't listened. Maybe it's a good thing, maybe it's a bad thing, but you know.

SPEAKER_00

Well, the good thing is we haven't gossip about anyone in our episodes.

SPEAKER_01

I would say I think was it like episode one? Yeah, episode one, we did got a little bit into personal stuff, but it's not like we don't drop names, yes. If you know you know, exactly, if you know you know. Oh my god, yes, how can I forget episode six, girl? That one, the amount of people that are like, oh my god, and I'm like, what? And they're like, You really tried so hard. I'm like, what? It's just a story, but I think yeah, we just add our twist to things, and of course, like we're not gonna just talk out of our butts, like we exactly will put our own perspectives and our own experiences into the mix.

Who Pays On Dates

SPEAKER_01

Um I want people to understand it. But within like episode one, you know how we talked about like the payment, like if you're going on the first date and you as a girl decide to pay, it's like a hint that you don't want to go back on a date. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So it's funny because like you know me, like, fair enough, like that first date, it falls under that rule, but like past that is very much like you know, it depends. Like, if I'm going on multiple dates with this person, of course, like they're not gonna pay for everything all the time. I don't feel comfortable, yeah. And I always pay for everything, so I feel like I need to pay, so I will fuck to pay.

SPEAKER_00

That's I was yeah, but here's the thing though. I personally, okay, I just don't think okay. This is how I see it. I see it as guys' thing is paying for dinner, especially if they like you. You know what I mean? It's just their way of like a pre to show appreciation, to show like, okay, I'm like really liking you, and I want to continue to get to know you, especially if it's a man that has his life together, okay.

SPEAKER_01

Nowadays it's hard to find a man with his life together. Let's be honest.

SPEAKER_00

Exactly, exactly. I'm talking about like a man, man, you know what I mean? That's the I don't know what it is about like them wanting to pay for everything, but it's just like a man ego thing, whatever it is.

SPEAKER_01

It's just like their way of to show appreciation and to just to treat their girl, and you know, so when you I'm okay with that, but like, for example, if the two of us are going and one of us brings a plus one, it's not the first time that like that person is going on a date, it's not I don't think it's right for that plus one to pay for the person that they're seeing plus their friends.

SPEAKER_00

I don't think that's right either, to be honest. I agree with you in that sense, but again, that comes to the back to my part. It's just it's okay, it goes like this. So let's just say, okay, if for example, if you take me to see the guy you're seeing, right? For us to meet each other, right? Yeah, and we're sitting and you okay, and you say I want to pay because that's my friend, whatever, whatever, and they're and they're insisting on paying, that's their way to show to show their appreciation of like you trying to like bring them into your friends, meet uh get to meet their friends, and it's just like I got my girl, like that's his way of telling the friend, like your friend is safe with me, I got her, I'll treat her right.

SPEAKER_01

True, but you want to know the funny thing is in this case, I actually I was able to ask and be like, okay, like because it became a joke at the at the table, yeah, right?

Communication After Bad Relationships

SPEAKER_01

Like, you were kind of confused in the beginning, and then like I was talking, I was like, you know, like yeah, I just I because in the past I have done things that make the men feel less masculine, and I don't do it on purpose, it's just who I am. Yeah, I am yes, I know, but because of things like that, you and like it goes in every single relationship. You always like when you're in a relationship that's not good, and when you're like trying to communicate, and the person doesn't communicate back, then you get scared of communication, like you get scared of saying certain things because of the reaction that you are used to get from men, right? So, and like I've been realizing that a lot that I'm like, okay, no, like everyone is different, we gotta give it a shot first. So every time I cannot say anything, I see it, and it's like, oh, that's it, like no no reaction, like just some normal communication.

SPEAKER_00

But it's not your fault either, okay? Like that goes back to the fact that the shitty ass boys, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I uh don't have a great pick. That's oh, trust me, and then here right, but I actually like this time I discussed it. I was like, okay, you know, like while in the car, I uh like me and Sahu were talking about it, and I was kind of feeling bad. So I was kind of trying to see where it standed within me paying for certain things, and literally he started laughing and was kind of like, Oh, I don't care, like I actually appreciate it because I pay for everything all the time. So actually having someone to pay for something for me once in a while is actually nice. And I was like, Oh, okay, so there we go. I'm overthinking and overreacting to it because previously someone would have told me that they want to be better than me or they want to do something and they feel like they can't and they never do a naugh or whatever, but then they actually do more than enough because it what they actually need to do, they don't do.

SPEAKER_00

I know, right? It's that it's all about communication, it's all about like bringing everything you feel and who you are into the table, and vice versa, and then just working it out together, you know. Yeah, I feel like that's all it's all about.

SPEAKER_01

You know, like it's hard when people tell you right when you because we all different, and there's people that are meant to be a one, and that's okay. But like when things keep going wrong, and people start finding patterns within you and saying, like, no, you need to change this about you, you need to change that about you. You start thinking, it's like, okay, am I actually the problem? And this comes to prove that no, I'm not. Um, I just need to find someone who understands me and exactly respects me for who I am without wanting for me to change or give up certain parts because I've gotten this far for being who I am.

SPEAKER_00

Exactly. Because the minute you start changing yourself for somebody else, uh that's not you anymore, you know? That's not even you in that relationship, it's someone entirely different. That's it's fake. Exactly. So that fakeness will someday break, and it will just ruin everything even more. So, what's the point of wasting your time or the other person's time? You know what I mean? Yeah, it's better than that.

SPEAKER_01

I gotta get you more out of there, Saha. Leave me alone.

Drift Racing Weekend And Car Talk

SPEAKER_01

So, so guys, we went to the mission racetrack this weekend for uh dragon drift races, it was amazing.

SPEAKER_00

Saha loves the drift, really nice, yes. Oh my god, so about that, I posted it on my IG, yeah, and I'm swearing everybody was like, Where the hell are you? It's like I didn't even know this existed in here, and I'm like, oh my god, like my girl, she took me. I know all the good places. They were like, I didn't even know you like cars. I was like, to be honest, I don't know nothing about cars, okay? But we had this conversation, also, right? I know because like you're more of a car person than me, like it's that just that you know a little bit more about cars. I don't know the basic thing about cars, okay? I don't know anything about cars, it's just that like is it a crime to appreciate a nice looking car without knowing what engine it has, how many horsepowers, or whatever?

SPEAKER_01

And in the end of the day, like like it's fine. There's in reality, is Sah is a lot more feminine than I am. Like I'm like, it takes me a lot to be in my feminine energy. So the reason why I know like the basics of a car and how to maintain a car type thing in certain terms is because I want to know it, I want to know how to do things by myself. Yeah, Sarah. She always has someone to do it for her, but it's you know, we cannot blame her. She does have two older siblings and um and a dad. Two older brothers, exactly. I have one, and he has a lot on his plate with his own cars, and okay.

SPEAKER_00

Now let's just okay, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. I don't want my name to get all uh bad in here, okay? It's not that I'm useless, I'm just useless when it comes to cars.

SPEAKER_01

I'm not saying useless, what I'm saying is like reality is when it comes to things that are like more like pushing into the masculine energy, you tend to just ask someone to do it, and they do it. Oh the only thing is it may take three months to get done, so I just end up learning and doing it myself.

SPEAKER_00

That's true, like yeah, I don't know why, but like when it comes to just like I don't want to say like manly things because it's not manly things, it's just like like cars and like all that things. I just can't. I can't like the minute somebody starts talking about it, it makes my head hurt. I'm like, okay, shut up, please.

DIY Independence And Zero Patience

SPEAKER_01

So did I told you when I changed my queen bed to my single bed? No, okay. So I have you remember my like queen size bed, yes, in Delta. So I someday I woke up and I decided that I wanted a single because I needed more space in my room. Yes, and I went to IKEA, I got everything I needed, and then I came home and I asked my dad to take my bed apart. Yeah, one day went by. I asked my dad to take my bed apart. Two days went by. Asked my dad to take the bed apart, three days went by. I literally locked myself in my room, I took the whole bed apart, I carried everything, including the mattress, the mattress box, oh my god, the the like the head, the the metal pieces, like everything down the stairs, and I just left it like at the front door type thing, and then and then I got my uh I and then I built my new bed by myself, and I remember my dad walking, he's like, How did this come down? And I'm like, I did it, I took it apart, I carried it out all by myself, but exactly, yes, exactly.

SPEAKER_00

Like you said that, and I'm like, you know, like the shelf in my room, right? Yeah, I went and got it, I bought it, and I came home that night. My dad came home and he was tired too. And I was like, I bought a shelf, and he's like, Good for you. And I'm like, Well, no, you have to set it up, and he's like, I saw her, it's a simple shelf, like you can set it up yourself. I was like, uh, that's not my job, you know, you know in that shelf, okay? Figure it up tonight by tonight, please. And he did it, he did it, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

He did. See, no, even the ones that I have on my room, I did them, and then my brother was coming to check, and then he realized that I was struggling, so he helped me. So we did uh we did them by ourselves, but he only came because he figured out that I was struggling. If not, he wouldn't help.

SPEAKER_00

Exactly. That's why I that's why sometimes sometimes no joke, even when I know how to do something, I'll just act like I don't and I make them do it.

SPEAKER_01

So I I I guess I have so I have I don't have any patience. God forgot to give me some patience when He made me. That's reality. Like, even when I broke my hand and I was in the hospital, like I was losing my mind, I was there for eight hours. Oh my god, like literally started crying to the nurse. That's how I got in. But you know, it's like I have zero patience, so for me, it's like three times asking, it's a max. If I don't get anything, that's it. Then you'll just figure it out yourself.

Fixing Headlights While Sick

SPEAKER_01

I will just figure it out myself, like my light, my headlights. So I was guys, I was house sitting, and then one day I turned on my lights, and one was already out, and then like I saw it blink, so I thought of like, oh crap, but because it still gives a little bit, I didn't really notice, and it was starting to like become daylight, so I was I I was like, okay, whatever. But then the next day it was darker than the morning, and I actually noticed that I didn't have any headlights, and I was like, crap, I really need to go get some. So I called Saha, and I'm like telling her because I was like, you know, I if I can figure it out, can I go to your place? Someone will help me where I blah blah blah. But then I was kind of like I was starting to get sick, I wasn't feeling great. Saha, bless her soul. Bless your soul, Saha. I go to a a work code, and they tell me that they don't have lights, there's a light bulb shirt for some reason. They didn't want to explain it to me. They just told me, good luck in finding any. I'm like, great. So I called Saha, like, girl, there's no lights. I'm gonna go home, I'm gonna search for it, and then if I find it, I find it. If not, I guess one more day is not gonna kill me. I'm just scared because like I'm in a busy area, cops have always out. I'm like, I'm gonna get a ticket for this. So while I was driving, Saha started calling places asking for the light bulbs. So she calls me back, she's like, There's only this location, blah blah blah. So I'm like, okay, 15 minutes away, I can do this. So I drove all the way there. I got my bites, I got home and I put them myself. I was literally looking at and I had my my nails were huge at the time, like I really needed to get them done. I was getting them done the next day, and I was like, I put it on, and I didn't break one single nail.

SPEAKER_00

I was actually generally shocked because you were supposed to come over and you wanted my brothers to put it on, so I even had called Shahi. I was like, Come home early. Damn it, you should have told me that at the time. I was like, come home early, like I need to use her lights change, and it was like okay, and all of that was done. And then when you sent me the video, I generally thought you were joking. I generally was like, Oh no, she didn't. Like, when is she coming over? And I looked at the video, I'm like, oh my gosh, she actually fixed the lights, and it didn't even take you that long.

SPEAKER_01

No, but it was funny because like I texted, I texted my friend, and I was like, Oh, you know, are you around? And then he was in the island, so I was like, crap, there's no one around. Then I really we got a movie feel like driving anywhere, and like I was that was when I got like like a big a bad cold. Yeah, like I was coughing non-stop, and I was just like, you know, I don't like to spread, not spreading the germs. Sahara gets sick very easily, too.

SPEAKER_00

So oh my god, I do, bro. I'm already getting sick because my sister's sick.

SPEAKER_01

You're like my brother.

SPEAKER_00

It's like I get sick very easily. I hate it. I you know what? I wasn't like this.

SPEAKER_01

Since COVID vaccines?

SPEAKER_00

Uh no.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, we're not starting that. Because my brother, it's been since COVID vaccines, and he like we keep telling him he's like, no, no, no. But finally he decided to go get blood tests to see if he's missing anything. Was he we don't know yet? He's waiting for the he has an appointment with the doctor this week to get a referral. So maybe, Saha, you need to start taking vitamins.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, about that. I'm very bad at remembering to take medication or vitamins or whatever. Okay, let me tell you

Workplace Pranks And Payback Ideas

SPEAKER_00

a story. Okay. I go to my work this morning, okay?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And I one time, a few weeks ago, I took, we were just playing around with the iPads that we have at work, and I just took a funny picture in it, okay?

SPEAKER_01

Okay, what's a funny picture?

SPEAKER_00

It's just like I made a weird face. Oh, it was an ugly, it's probably the ugliest photo I've ever taken, okay? It was it's very bad. Ingle is a portable. They didn't just freaking print it. So they printed a big one and put it at the back, right when you walk into the door, okay? At the back there, so I go in and I look at and I say that, and I'm like, oh my god, no, they didn't. And I walk to the lockers, they print a small. One right in my locker, too.

SPEAKER_01

It would have been funnier if this did like a missing person post and actually put it like in the front in the store. So customers could see it. Oh my god, you're giving me ideas, Anich.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, you're giving me ideas. Pay back for whoever the document is. I go to my break room at lunch. There is one in the break room. There's one in the washroom. One inside the fridge. Inside the fridge?

SPEAKER_01

Inside the fridge. Wow, someone was very invested in this.

SPEAKER_00

I'm telling you, I was like, you guys had too much time on your hand before uh me, okay? Like, I was like, was there no work for you guys to do around here or anything? So now I'm open to any ideas, everybody, on how to get back into them. I like your missing person.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I did that at work, I thought it was very funny. Some people did thought it was funny, but the bosses not so much.

SPEAKER_00

I need to get an approval from a boss before I do that.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, they didn't they didn't say anything directly to me, and they didn't know what we were laughing and like gathering around. And then when I explained, they were kind of like, Oh, you know, like you just need to be careful. I'm like, I'm spreading good spirits, I'm connecting people, making people laugh. Like, let's be real.

SPEAKER_00

Everyone welcome and you did it inside the office, so it's not like you put it outside everywhere.

SPEAKER_01

No, but this person was working for us for probably like two months, not even. So it should have started, it should have become like a a new tradition, you know, a new person. We do everyone comes in, start doing a prank on the new people.

SPEAKER_00

It's like from the the when they start, there's no more life, so you're basically missing because you'll be at work, right?

SPEAKER_01

Oh my god. Oh yeah. Oh well, I like like small pranks, like funny

Secret Santa Prank Gone Wild

SPEAKER_01

stuff. So when I was a BCIT one year we did Secret Santa, but throughout the whole month of December, we were giving small gifts, but eventually those small gifts became a joke. So people were just like, we weren't just only giving to our like secret name, we were giving it to everyone part of the group, yeah. And me and my friend, we kind of got very into it, and when they were like, it was like 10 o'clock, and we're still at school studying and stuff, and I'm like, somehow I had this crazy idea to prank the boys, two of the boys they were like, you know, very like whole overcuts type thing and good energy, and we're like, oh, they will take a good joke, so let's do something crazy. So there's this movie that uh this guy wears a what is a board board dog? What was something similar to that? But it's like the um it's almost like a tongue, uh a tongue for miles, but the bikini was like going over his shoulders, like it was very oh my god, like a speedo, yes, but then yeah, the top part is like instead of just going on your hips, it was over the shoulder, yes, and barely covers anything in the back. So in the movie, the guys were the guy wears, I think his red, if I'm not mistaken. So we're like, oh, perfect, let's get one for each. And we got this like like highlighted, like green, highlight green, like super strong, and then our our walkers were blue, like navy blue, and then I'm like, oh, you know, it's Christmas, let's make it a rendier out of it. So then I printed eyes and I cut them, and then we got two red pom poms, so we put it, we put it like on the outside, like we were able to kind of like take in, suck it in on the top of the of the door of the locker, the top of the of the bathing suit, and then we did the two eyes and the nose, and people were walking in school, like we did this late at night, and the next morning everyone is walking in school and laughing their asses off because you walked through this two bunkers and he used to steal this bathing suit. Did they wear it? No, I tried to convince them, but they got too shy. I wonder if they still have it. Can you imagine? If they still have it and the girlfriend's fine is like, why do you have this?

SPEAKER_00

Imagine they wear it in their free time.

SPEAKER_01

I told them, Well, yo, you should you guys should wear it next time you go to the hot tubs with your girlfriend. They're like, look at me, how sexy I look.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah, yeah, they would think it's very sexy.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, I would have a heyday. Wait, you know, if it was my boyfriend, I was just like, I'll wrap. So yeah, I like small pranks like that, like funny stuff.

SPEAKER_00

Same. Okay, more on that on the next episode.

Wrap Up And Next Time

SPEAKER_01

We kind of rambled on this one, but it's again we went through multiple topics, you know, but that's what makes us so special, Saha. Exactly. I agree with you. You know, people can this so when I talk with people and I go from topic to topic to topic, they already expecting it because they're like, oh yeah, she does the same thing in her podcast.

SPEAKER_00

Exactly, exactly. Okay, guys, so this was episode two eight. Oh my god, I was almost set twenty-eight. I'm like, okay, look at us next year, not even hopefully, and that says she said what she said.
