Our Walk, His Glory
Rooted in our everyday conversations and real-life experiences, this platform is a public journey of spiritual growth, accountability, and awakening. We're not here because we have it all figured out, we're here because we’re committed to growing in public and showing that pursuing God as a young person is not only possible, but powerful.
Our Walk, His Glory
We said yes… Now what?👀
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
In this episode, we dive into what really happens after you make the decision to follow Christ. We share our personal experiences after saying “yes,” including the culture shocks we faced, the gap between expectations vs. reality, and what repentance truly looks like as Christians.
We also spoke about the importance of relying on the Holy Spirit—understanding that transformation doesn’t come from our own strength, but through Him.
Our goal is to help you avoid some of the same mistakes and remind you that this journey isn’t a one-time moment—it’s continuous, growing, and deeply personal.
We hope you enjoy this episode and continue to walk this journey with us. God bless you🩷
Hey guys, what's up? What's poppin'? What's Gucci? What's up? What's good? I'm Anthony the Curtison. I'm Pauline. I'm Blessing. And I'm Anthony the Air. And this is Anakin's Lord. Okay, guys. Episode two. It's been a while too. It's been a hot or bad minute.
SPEAKER_01Oh sorry.
SPEAKER_02We do apologize, guys. Who got the best of us?
SPEAKER_01Last episode we ended that. We we said yes. Wait, before that, how are you guys doing? Oh you feeling? Yeah. I'm feeling.
SPEAKER_03Okay, that's interesting.
SPEAKER_00Hmm. How you feeling? You know how I'm feeling.
SPEAKER_03How you feeling? Oh, I'm like Gucci. I'm I'm Gucci. How you feeling? I'm Versace. Okay, girl. Listen. But yeah, back to what you're saying. Did you say your Versace? No, because you said Gucci. No, girl.
SPEAKER_01Hello. Okay, back to what you're saying. Yeah, our last episode, we talked about, I guess, our experience saying yes to God and saying yes to God seriously. You know, not the one million and one times we went out for altar calls. Yeah. But yeah, and I guess we're gonna be going deeper into what that looks like. So we've said yes, comma, what now? So we had another comma. But yeah, that's what we're gonna talk about.
SPEAKER_03Okay, interesting. Yeah. So what was your expectation when you I guess said yes, or when you gave your actual yes? Everything.
SPEAKER_01I thought, like, you know what? Even before we get to the expectation, even what the experience would feel like was like I had an expectation that was not exactly meant. Like I thought, you know, like, Paul, I'll get a flash, the lights and everything, I'll do some dramatic thing like that. But it really wasn't. But I guess going into it, I thought I would like my life has just changed. Like, surely I'm a Christian now. Like, surely, I should not be a liar. How can I lie? How can I be a liar? How can I like you know be jealous of someone? How can I yeah, like I just really thought I would just be like a new person, like all of you? Second Corinthians 5, you know, like and yeah, but I guess what the biggest thing or the biggest culture shock for me was really the fact that you had to keep repenting as a Christian, if that makes sense. That that was really difficult for me to grasp because I was like, like, like God is like my savior, and like I'll do something wrong, and I'm like, ah but yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03What about you? Was it anything like you were expecting? No, like when you came into Christ, and like did reality like hit you? Reality hit me, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Like when I came to Christ, I thought, you know how in those movies we watched like Miraculous Ladybug, House She Beach, Transmist Street, both costumes. Let's read Unreal. I thought because I same thing, I also thought, like, when I was gonna when I said the yes, like something dramatic was gonna happen, like maybe because in my dream I'd have some like you know, divine encounter, and when I wake up, I'll be feeling like this holy saints, you know. But then, yeah, that was not the case. Yeah. Um, it was I just realized that Soki, um, uh a little hard. You know, it's not easy. Um, but I was excited to get going. I don't know, it was like some things just changed like that, but then there were some things where I was like, oh, don't be hard. Actually, have to put in the work, you know? Yeah. So yeah, that's kind of my experience expectation versus reality, you know. Ma'am.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I think I'm pretty similar, like to you guys. Like, I just thought I'm in Christ, like I don't have to worry about anything, I could just like do whatever, and I'll end up in heaven. So that was like I was thinking, you know, like I'm accepting him. That's like what's now, like, you know, let's just get it going, right? And then when I die, you know where I'm going. Yeah, but uh harsh reality is. No, but yeah, like that was my mindset. I mean, this was some time ago, but yeah, that was my mindset. So I was thinking, like, I could do whatever I want, but yeah.
SPEAKER_03The fact that like you're saved now.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I feel like that was kind of like my issue, like, okay, like I just fall back on. If anything, I just fall back on that, you know. Yeah, but harsh reality here. But I don't think that's unique to you.
SPEAKER_03I feel like a lot of people think like that that oh once saved, all saved, something like that. I I think that's the phrase that people use, but people have to understand that that's just part of the work that was done. So then for our first episode, you could say like that was the justification where we're placed in a position of holiness because of what Jesus did on the cross for us. And um, we're not gonna read the whole scripture, but then you can look up Romans 5. Talks about um the justification work of Christ. And um so one of my favorite authors, John Vivere. John Bevere, if you ever see this, like I love you. You put this on. Put this on, yeah. So um, and his book, The All of God, he really breaks it down into like positional holiness and behavioral holiness. So he uses the analogy of um when you get married. So let's say you do get married today, like we don't know what it's like to get married, but we know like one or two things from marriage, right? Once you don't want to sweep, why are you looking at it? We know the basics, like once both of you are in covenant, like that is officially your husband, that is officially your wife, right? 20 years down the line, it that doesn't change. You're no more of a wife than you were 20 years ago when you got like married. Yeah, right. So that is you being a wife by position. But then when you become a wife, it's not just by position, you have to act like it as well. You don't go back and talk to your ex. You don't go back talk to certain people that you used to talk to, have talking stages with when you were still talking to your now husband, right? Because now you're solely, I guess, in covenant with your now husband. Now husband. Yeah, exactly. One, no, one. And so that's that's the behavioral aspect of it. So when he said, I was like, oh my gosh, that totally makes sense. Like, yeah, so then when we come into Christ, that's by position. We're made holy by position, but then there's still the work that we have to do, and that's the work of sanctification, like you mentioned earlier.
SPEAKER_00So yeah, so we're gonna dive much more sprinkle in deeper into that repentance as a Christian, conviction.
SPEAKER_01Oh conviction? What does that look like?
SPEAKER_02Wait, wait, how's that fancy? Are you talking about conviction or conviction?
SPEAKER_01What does what does repentance as a Christian look like? I guess, hey, are these two different things?
SPEAKER_04Repentance and conviction?
SPEAKER_01Repentance as a Christian and conviction. I think we're talking about the conversation. I feel like they're different.
SPEAKER_03I mean, like conviction, repentance out of a result of conviction. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03That's what I mean. That's what I mean.
SPEAKER_01The whole process. Yeah, so from conviction to repentance, yeah. Yeah, how does that look like as as Christians?
SPEAKER_02I think like obviously we have the whole spirit in us. I feel like at the end of the day, like sorry, we have the whole spirit in us, right? I feel like at the end of the day, like you, the whole spirit's gonna nudge you, like certain things. Like if you do something, it's like, hey, like, you know, shouldn't be doing this, or I don't think you should do this, or you should do this instead. It's like the more you disobey, he's gonna like stop, like you know, the voice is gonna get like like low and louder, right? The successful thing. Yeah, but I feel like with conviction, like obviously, you like people to acknowledge that you are at fault, like you're wrong about something. I feel like sometimes you're trying to question, you try and call your friends to try and justify you know they're right, but you know your heart of hearts. Oh, oh anyway, no, but yeah, like conviction, repeat this as well.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, because I feel like you go and reflect on this.
SPEAKER_02No, yeah, yeah. I think obviously, like, if you if you continue to like obey, like obviously you're gonna be able to like discern because obviously sometimes you can't tell if you like that should mind or holy spirit, but if you continue disobeying, you're not gonna be able to discern, and you're gonna start thinking your own thoughts to someone, so you come and say, Spirit of God told me this, but you're not telling you anything. God told you that's that's a real thing. No, I don't know. I think I struggle with it too. I told you guys, like I can't discern sometimes, so this is to me. This is to me. No tilter, no, no, I can't tell, like I'm parents, you know, but yeah, I feel like I mean you get kind of chained for that, right? I think one of my cultural shocks with I guess with the whole oh sorry, we didn't ask you.
SPEAKER_01It's okay with like she'll get convicted. No, I didn't get the beginning. No, it's okay in the beginning. No, it's okay, it's okay, guys.
SPEAKER_03I was gonna say, um, what one of the cultural shocks was I guess repent, the idea of repentance being a continuous thing. I thought it was, oh Lord, forgive me of my sins, and like that was it, right? And then that was done, I guess, um, when I came into Christ. But then I didn't realize it was like an ongoing process of sanctification. Santification. Like I have to continually repent, right? And I think it's just a thing of our hearts. Um, it's I guess it's more of a heart thing than like a work thing, and I didn't understand that. So um, yeah, repenting continually was just like one of the things I was like, oh okay. So I have to continually ask for forgiveness, right? But then um tying into conviction, like you were saying, um yeah, but then at first the thing is, so I didn't know that was the Holy Spirit at work in me. So whenever I got convicted, I would feel guilty and I would run away. Like I'll just run away and then start beating myself up for not being the perfect daughter for God's father. No, no, no, no. I wouldn't talk to God for like days because I feel like he doesn't want to see me. I feel like he doesn't want to hear from me, I feel like he doesn't want to talk to me. But I think I was just projecting my perception of what a father looks like here to God and like how do you make that sound? I think I was I think I was just projecting that image. Um, and also the fact that like I saw God as Lord God Almighty, I didn't see him as the good father or the perfect father that I was supposed to have. So I didn't understand the concept of coming to him when I made a mistake, right? And that's what conviction is supposed to do. I think that's a verse in the Bible, Romans 8, for now, therefore, there's no condemnation of Christ. Like Christ does not condemn us, like he convicts us so that we can come to him. So I guess that was how I used to deal with conviction, but now I have like understanding of what it means to be convicted, and it's actually in God's mercy and in his intentionality towards you when he convicts you, because I guess now I think about it, I think about it as oh Lord, like you really want to spend so much time, but you want to be with me so much that you're telling me that I'm doing something wrong so that I could change so that you can be intimate with me. And I'm like, oh my gosh, like you're so you're so intentional about me. Like once you start to think about it like that, it's like when a good friend tells you, like, oh Charlie, your hair is not looking nice today, it's because they want you to look pretty. That's what they're telling you. But then if they were evil, they'll just oh my gosh, your hair looks great, they'll like what you did with your hair. No, or when your friend like too good. Too good, guys. No, no, no, no. Yeah, or when you know, like your friend has like a nasty attitude, and like you tell them because you love them that hey, like, I want you to change, because like your attitude is nasty, like your attitude thinks, yeah. So that's how I perceive conviction and repentance now.
SPEAKER_01Okay. So yeah. It's like it's just so easy to just run away, right? Yeah, yeah. Mm-hmm. And in your mind, you're even in your mind, it's like right. You're like, oh, you're like, surely God doesn't want me. Like, surely, and you gas like completely convinced yourself that you're doing the right thing, and like, you know, you're you're doing God a favor by like keeping yourself away. And it's like, hello.
SPEAKER_02He never acts to do that.
SPEAKER_01Get down, like, bro. I was listening to this one's sermon today, which she we're blessing, right? And um, the pastor said something about he was talking about when Jesus healed a leper and explaining, I guess, the significance of him actually touching the leper, because he could have used words, he could have said be healed or something, but he actually touched him, right? And how I guess connecting that with how in the old testament, if you kind of touched the leper, you were unclean. And basically saying, like, Jesus touched leper to kind of like show us that, yeah, like he makes us pure. We don't, our sin doesn't contaminate him. He's the one who makes us pure. And that like patch cow, patch, cow, patch cow, like expanded my mind. I was like, what? Stop it right there. What do you but yeah, definitely also the thing about thinking of it as like God wants to fellowship with me, he wants to be intimate with me, and that's why he's telling me this thing so he can be closer to me. Like it just makes so much sense. And um, I definitely feel like another thing that I or another thing that I used to kind of struggle with was I'm trying to phrase it. Give me give me a second guess. The whole idea of grace and fully accepting grace, because it's like, yeah, like I didn't do anything to deserve this, but then you're also telling me, well, I have to do this now that I have it, so it's like what what if I if I don't do it, what am I supposed to do? Like, where where does that leave me, right? Because I have just has that for me. He's done this great thing for me, perfect sacrifice, everything. I believe, I accept. And now the Holy Spirit is transforming me, renewing my mind, all of that, right? And because he's doing that, I'm supposed to live a certain way. There's a conduct, everything that's supposed to follow, right? And so when I err, or when yeah, how do I kind of reconcile that with the idea of grace? Grace, grace, grace, I think I think it's understanding. Also, I'm sorry. Sorry, I'm sorry. I just remember something else. I used to also battle with this idea that like it was it was going to church and like doing all these things, and I feel so bad, like bro. I've I've missed church less than five well, I don't know when I was a baby, I don't know, I don't know, but I generally feel like I missed church less than five times in my life on a Sunday, like Sunday church. And if I ever like miss church, Jesus, guilty, Jesus, because just engulf me. And it's like, I mean, it's like it's not to miss church like for no reason, I guess, but like, is it is it am I am I work focused? Is that an issue? Yes, is that something we need to look at? Yes, yeah, let's look at it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, let's look at it. Okay, I I would say the first thing is people who well, okay, I don't want to say people because I used to be work for focused. Um I think I was because I had a lack of revelation of the love of God. And because you know, whatever we do is our response to him. It's not because it's going to, I guess, make him any which is not words nicely.
SPEAKER_04God doesn't need you.
SPEAKER_03It doesn't he doesn't, yeah. He doesn't he doesn't need me. Right. He doesn't. But then when I understand that okay, he did this out of love for me, then I'm able to respond with that. And the way I do that is I guess through the process of sanctification. But then when we come into Christ with the understanding that oh my gosh, we have to look like Christ without that revelation, then it just boils down to I have to go to church. Like, yes, I have to be perfect. Then it becomes religion, then there's no relationship in that aspect. Because as much as yes, we have our responsibility, um, it's supposed to be a partnership with the Holy Spirit.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And I think like it's especially because I think that's one of the mistakes I made when I came when I said yes for real. Because even though I said yes for real, it's not like all the understanding just comes like like you said, it doesn't all enter whoosh whoosh, yeah, understand the things, or you know. So I think in the beginning, like it was kind of okay, but then I got to a point where I think I was so obsessed with the fact that because now my real is my real is I mean your yes is real. My yes is real this time, like um, I'm supposed to be living a certain way, and I'm trying to like I'm not trying to work through things, I'm just trying to like implement, like immediately not going through processes and everything because I have to change like this, you know, in my head. So I started becoming work-focused as well, and then I got to a point where I found it's draining and then impossible. Because I'll mess up, and then I'll feel guilty, I'll run away, endless, I'll now go sit in the corner, cry, cry, cry, feel bad, feel bad, da da da. Eventually I'll start again. Go back to God and like, yo, eventually, like it's me again. So I tried, and then uh, you know what I mean? And I feel like when you get to that point uh where it becomes draining and all that stuff, like um, you might you could also backslide a little bit. Like, I can't lie because that did happen for me. Where um I don't know, I want to use this analogy, like if I'm wrong. I'm sorry, guys. Okay, so like let's say Jesus is like soap, and you know you have to shower, you have to clean yourself. And no, the angry sorry, sorry.
SPEAKER_04Let's let's let me learn, let me lie, let me lie.
SPEAKER_00So I I now shower, shower, fresh day, you know, my uh shower, the da da da, I'm clean, I smell good, I can go out and then do activities, and I won't have like I won't be stinking around and everything, right? But then if I go um, if I fall in the mud and then I feel bad because I fall in the mud because I don't want to make the soap dirty, right? So now I'm like, hey, I don't want to put my mud on the soap, so I'm just gonna run away. So it will not be a muddy girl. I'll be a muddy girl and then the stent now and I'll just become a stinking girl. And then it's only until I actually go back to the soap that I'll actually be clean. That's a great analogy. You know, okay, exactly.
SPEAKER_02Exactly.
SPEAKER_00That's what I you see. I landed. Do you understand? You know, so, anyways, so like that's one thing I didn't really understand. So I always used to run away and then try to figure it out on my own to say no, I'll I'll I'll I'll do it by myself. And then one day, like God will forgive me. And uh I'll be I'll be on the good side again. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03I used to think that yeah, that God had the good side and the bad side, and if I didn't think that I'm on the bad side automatically, Santa's naughty and nice. No, I'm telling you, it's the image that we have here on earth that we kind of project to God, but then we have to understand that he is like the best father.
SPEAKER_01Like what is because when you mention like their father, at least father than the the the thing, he's him, the father literally calling.
SPEAKER_02Um, yeah, she she's in and hollering.
SPEAKER_00You dumb on me. Sorry, but I was saying I really relate to when you said um that image of the father that we struggle to like grasp because our earthly fathers, God forbid we do something wrong. Like we know that punishment is on the way. God forbid we do something wrong. Oh, hey, tell me what I mean. Like it's like, hey, if I do something like I'm scared to go talk to my dad, I want to run away or I try to hide it, whatever. Because I know, even though it's with love, but like that correction is not nice. Um God to discipline those he loves. He does, but it it's How we've got it's not like a dirty slap, like pa, you know what I mean? Hey to do it like a dream, you know, he's his correction is yeah, it's low. You guys get where I'm you get where I am, get where I am, right? Yeah, and um, yeah, I think what was I gonna say with the backsliding, um being away or running away for a long time, um kind of led to me starting to forget. I think I started to forget um the soap.
SPEAKER_03No, yeah, I guess the point like you just you just forget, yeah. And then you're just in this deep pit.
SPEAKER_00And then he's and without some time to oh drift away.
SPEAKER_03We're talking about it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, no, because wait, sticky. I have a different analogy. So, like you know how you're going to the gym, right? And you're eating right and everything, you start getting results, but then if you fall off, like you stop, let's say you're still doing the practice of going to the gym and working out, but your diet is fall, you fall off with your diet, yeah, your body's going to now go back to what are we doing? Let's say you were trying to lose weight, you're still having bone to pick with a gym about that.
unknownWhat do you feel?
SPEAKER_00All the work, you it would now go back, and then that's like basically backsliding where you're no longer interacting with your father and hearing from him, allowing him to like correct you and lead you to repentance and everything. So eventually you start forgetting some things and you fall back into old habits because he's the only one who can actually help you overcome those habits and stay away from them, right? Um, because that's just yeah, that's us, that's just that's just low-key how it is. You can't do it on your own. And when you separate yourself or you run away, you're like kind of saying, Stay there. And then now you're trying to do things on your own, but you don't have those strengths.
SPEAKER_03I think even though you keep falling back, I guess, I guess now we can talk about grace, I guess. Um, so I have a scripture, Romans 5, verse 15 to 16. But there is a great difference between Adam's sin and God's gracious gift. For the sin of one man, Adam, brought many to death. But even greater is God's powerful grace and his gift of forgiveness to many through this other man, Jesus Christ. And the result of God's gracious gift is very different from the result of that one man's sin. For Adam's sin led to condemnation, but God's free gift leads to our being made right with God, even though we are guilty of many sins. And it's like that is that's the whole point of grace, so that we can reconcile with God. Like that is why Jesus came. But then if we run away, it's like we're kind of pushing back his gift that he gave to us, right? Like he's just like, we're just saying, Oh yeah, I know you gave me this, but like just and that is actually I think that is let's move on.
SPEAKER_01No, let's move on. Okay. You mentioned the Holy Spirit earlier, we didn't talk about that.
SPEAKER_03Oh, the Holy Spirit, about how it's a partnership and not to I'll figure it out on my own. Okay, so I have an analogy. Um Imagine you have a farm, you're the farmer, right? And your job is to plant the seeds. Right. Now it's up to I'll say it's up to God. I don't want to say nature, it's up to God for him to provide the sun and provide the rain and provide the wind and all the things necessary for, I guess, that seed to germinate. But after or when the seed is growing, you also have a responsibility of, I guess, plowing the soil or doing all those things that farmers do, right? You can't just leave the seed there and just like expect, well, yeah, you can, but then you get my analogy. Like, if you're a farmer, like there are certain things that you have to do in order to like keep the farm for the next season, right? Even after like you you have a vineyard and you take away the grapes, like you have to tend to it in order for the next season to, I guess, abound. So in that case, it's a partnership where God does his part. He provides the sunshine, the rain, the wind, and all of that, and you also do your part, right? And that's how it's supposed to work. You can't you can't tell God, I'm going to provide the sun for this farm you've given me. I'm going to provide, I mean, yeah, there's irrigation, whatnot. But then but the thing is, he has his part to play, and you also have your part to play. If you ignore your part, then there's not going to be any growth whatsoever. But then if you push away the Holy Spirit, it's still going to result in you backsliding or you just pushing away his gifts, like in general. So I think there should just be the conscious effort of allowing the Holy Spirit to work in you, and then he does that through conviction. That's just going back to what we spoke about earlier, right? And it's like, I'm I think I heard from Pete that he's the law in us. So at first they used to like read the law and then do all these like 600 and what laws, follow all these laws and whatnot. But then um the Holy Spirit is the promise that has been given to us. And then I remember in John, I think it's 16, chapter 16, where it talks about oh, um, he's bringing us the Holy Spirit who guide us into all truth. And that is well, one of his jobs to guide us into all truth. So then it is our responsibility for us to yield to the Holy Spirit in our walk. His glory in our walk. Yeah, I just had to, but yeah, so that's my take on partnering with the Holy Spirit.
SPEAKER_01Also, question well, not question, but I kind of had a comment. Um when Athie was talking, she said something about convicting when you do something wrong. However, is there an angle or what's what's what are your thoughts on conviction on something that's not necessarily wrong? But it's or you've been doing it and it was fine when you were doing it, but now the whole spirit's like, well, like, yeah, you can no longer do this, and then you just feel bad, like, so I've been doing rubbish this whole time, like, and it's just like almost like you feel like you need to reset and like start like have I been doing rubbish this whole time and that stuff. That was like this. Have I been doing rubbish this whole time? Like, how do you kind of navigate that?
SPEAKER_02Oh we can we can there's a couple of things coming in the air, yeah.
SPEAKER_01You can keep it in the air. Answer the comments.
SPEAKER_02We will understand the comments.
SPEAKER_01Well, everybody will understand. But think about the moments because yeah, that that's I think that's what I'm talking about, right? But how do you navigate, I guess, the feelings of have I been doing it wrong this whole time? And like, so God's just watching me, and you know how when you see videos we saw from the past and you're like, hey, yeah, what you put is now you're currently like you're currently using it.
SPEAKER_03But then at that time, you thought that was like you thought that the best thing at the the most viral thing at that time. We'll talk about in the comments, yeah. We can talk about it, but consecration is definitely coming to mind.
SPEAKER_01Um, I think to kind of close, I wanted to, or I guess, round summary. Our expectation was different from our reality. What we expected was like we'll be earthy vessels offer to a deity, we'll not have any issues with sin or anything, but we forgot we were still living in this world, and saying yes was just the first part of it. The transformation still has to happen. How does this transformation then happen? By number one, not running away when we do get convicted by the Holy Spirit or find out stuff that we are um lacking in. Um, two, partnering with the Holy Spirit, you said. Um, three also applying our field as farmers, yeah. And like doing make sure we do our part, but also being to the Holy Spirit, yielding to him.
SPEAKER_03Um, and we can find out what our part is by reading the Bible, guys. A lot of things are reading the Bible and praying. So let's read our Bibles and pray every day. If you want to grow, yeah, I see what you did. Oh, that's a song.
SPEAKER_00I see what you did. Read your Bible for every day. Yeah, another song. I know. Okay, we know the song. Okay, why don't you sing with me?
SPEAKER_01But yeah, um, I kind of wanted to end it with like a almost questionslash like thoughts. So, to what end?
SPEAKER_03What do you mean to what end?
SPEAKER_01Is it possible to live a holy life? Is it possible to walk this walk? Is it is it is it possible?
SPEAKER_02Short answer yes. Yes, sure answer yes, yes, sure answer yes, yeah. Yeah, we have no explanation.
SPEAKER_01See 2 Peter 1 3.
SPEAKER_02Let's go, let's go.
SPEAKER_01We have like a minute left. 2 Peter 1 3. I'll read it amplified.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_012 Peter 4. Well, we'll drop all that C more verses on this. Oh, I can't promise you on the screen in the comments. Um for his divine power has bestowed on us absolutely everything necessary for a dynamic spiritual life and godliness through true and personal knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and excellence. So it's like we have everything we need the words, the spirits, the the blood, the blood, the word and the spirit. But yeah, and um, so it's it is possible. Yeah, it says more verses in the comments, but it is possible. I struggled with this for a long time. I was on my mind, I was like, so what are we doing here? Like, if it's not possible, like then why? Like, but it's possible, guys, it's possible. And even teaching it's possible.
SPEAKER_03And even season, Jesus coming here, yeah. Even though he was fully God, fully man, he operated on earth as fully man. And he came so that he could like be an example. So we actually have no excuse. He lived a holy life here on earth. Um, I guess without tapping into his divine divineness of him being God. Exactly. He came here as a man and then I guess fulfilled his purpose as a man, walked here as a man and knew no sin. So then he just did that to show us that it is possible. And so we have literally have no excuse whatsoever to not try and pursue that holy life. Yeah, and then it's a commandment. It says be holy for the for your Lord is holy. Right? He's that's that's who we're called to be. So then um we have to strive for it regardless of how hard it is. The truth of the matter is it is going to be hard. There's that's inevitable, um, inevitable, inevitable.
SPEAKER_01But it's nice, it's nice, but then yeah, it's hard. But anyways, guys, wait that's uh oh wait, I can't wait to that's a rap. I have a question though, it's been real, but like how do we pursue this holiness? We'll talk about it in the next episode. We'll talk about it. That's my question. But this is um this is our walk, his glory, my guess.
