Our Walk, His Glory
The Sins Nobody Sees🩶
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
In this episode, we dive into the hidden sins of the heart—things like pride, jealousy, comparison, bitterness, and self-righteousness. These struggles often go unnoticed by others, making them easier to ignore, justify, or hide.
We share our thoughts and experiences on navigating these heart issues as Christians, why they’re often harder to deal with than outward sins, and how God uses conviction to transform us from the inside out.
Our goal is to encourage honest self-reflection and remind you that God isn’t only concerned with our actions—He’s after our hearts too.
We hope you enjoy this episode and continue to walk this journey with us. God bless you 🩷
Hey guys, welcome back. My name is Blessing. I'm Anthea A. I'm Anthea Curtin. And I'm Pauline. And this is our apologize. Welcome back. How are y'all feeling? Good. Pretty good. How are you?
SPEAKER_04I'm hungry. You wanna go to Legos Flavors? No. I don't want to go.
SPEAKER_05That's okay. I'm hungry. I'm doing good. I'm doing good. Doing good? Yeah. That's great. That's great. That's Gucci. Okay, so we're just gonna go right into it. So quick recap from last episode. What did we talk about last episode? Sanctification. You said yes now what?
SPEAKER_04Sanctification. What about sanctification? Me again. Oh no, anyone can.
SPEAKER_03Talking about how it's possible.
SPEAKER_04Um possible.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_04And it's a process. Yeah. It's not like a one, it's a partner. And we spoke about stuff and running away and coming back and all that jazz.
SPEAKER_02All that stuff.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. And I think we ended with a question about how to pursue holiness. Oh, yeah. Yeah, but then we did mention the fact that holiness is possible and it's a commandment because um the Lord commands that we should be holy for He is holy. So yeah. Um but then I feel like whenever we mention holiness, people have a certain perception of what holiness means. And I feel like a lot of people look at the appearance and not inward. Right? People think when you're holy, you have to dress a certain way, um, speak a certain way. Just be Christianese. Yeah. And then there's this one particular phrase that people say that I don't agree with. Well, that's on the that's on the other end. That's another, yeah. Part of it is true, but then I feel like people use that as an excuse to get away with a lot of things. They're like, oh yeah, I'm Christian, the Lord knows my heart, and then they just use that to get away with so many things, right? But then I think people forget that um there are rules that you have to abide by. There's a standard we have to abide by, and that we can't just get up and do whatever we want and call ourselves Christians. No, we have to yes, look a certain way, but then it starts inward and then it shows outward. That's basically what I'm trying to say.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. So it's almost like both sides are right, yes, and that there's there's a there's a look can't be you can't be vegetarian and you're eating chickens. Oh no, but I'm vegetarian, the vegetarians know I'm one of them, but you're yeah, eating meats doesn't make any sense, right? But then because well, hmm, erases. The point is that they work hard in hand, yeah. The inward and as well as the outward.
SPEAKER_02But do you think um the outward is more of like just a result of you working on the inward? Yeah, absolutely. I think that's from the abundance of that.
SPEAKER_05I think that's just what transformation. That's what transformation does.
SPEAKER_02There has to be a change because of because I feel like when people um do the outward or they focus so much on outward more than the inward, then that's when it's more religion than it's kind of what we were talking about, yeah, uh service versus intimacy.
SPEAKER_04How like especially if you grow up in the church doing all that stuff, you're just you know, choir practice three times a week, you're there, you're active, but there's no relationship. And in your mind, like people see you and they think you're like this this person is an usher, they're a drama, like they're committed, they're active, they're serving God. Surely, like, but if you don't have any relationship personally with God, then there's there's an issue. But um, and it kind of ties into the story we're talking about when Samuel was going to go and anoint Saul and he was he saw Eliot, but he was like, ah, like surely this is this must be surely this must be God's anointed, and God was like, Oh god. Wait, let me know Miss quotes God. Yeah, first Samuel 16, 7. But the Lord said to Samuel, do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. And it's like, oh, so I can in fact look strong and healthy, but if my heart's not right then. Yeah. So what's what's what can stain the heart or what can make the heart because we know now that God cares about the heart. So what can in fact stain slash affect the heart? Question mark.
SPEAKER_02Short answer, sin. Long answer, sin. I mean, yes, sin. Yes.
SPEAKER_04Three marks question justify and motivate your answer.
SPEAKER_00Go answer, go answer, go.
SPEAKER_02Sorry. I'm not apologizing. Exactly. This is me.
SPEAKER_05It's okay. Um, yes, sin, but then I think I just want to deviate from that a little just a little bit. I think it's still it still ties into it, but just a little bit. Um, so I feel like when we talk about sin, okay, this is per personally or how I used to think before that when sin was mentioned, the first thing I will think about is murder or sexual immorality. Murder like Jesus. Yes, like I would think about Ten Commandments, yeah. Yeah, first think about sin. Like that's the first thing lying, stealing the obvious, the very obvious thing. Exactly. The ones that I can't see, the ones that it's very obvious that oh, yeah, this is a sin. This is a sin. You're a killer. Exactly. So I'm just like, hey, that's for this person that you are so I used to categorize between I guess the big sins, and I would say, hmm, let me say acceptable, acceptable sins or like smaller sins, right? That I will think that, oh yeah, this is this is a little like you know, it's not too much of a big deal, yeah. Type thing. That's how I used to think before. But then now that I'm in Christ, um, and my little journey, I've come to realize that all those big sins, um, yes, I've done away with them, but then let me choose my words carefully because I don't want to make it seem like all those sins are like very easy to get rid of. Like, that's not what I'm saying. I'm saying it's easy to identify, so it's easy for you to navigate those things because like you you kind of know your consciousness. You kill, you kill. Exactly, you're aware of what you're saying. People know you kill, you know you kill. You see, like, oh I'm clutto is it clutomania? Like something like that. Exactly. Like, you know those things, right? So I um done. Hmm, let me not say that. I would say I have overcome like the major, the big ones that used to um disturb me or that I used to struggle with before. But now that I'm in Christ, I come to notice that it's usually the little sins that like I disregard that is actually really showing up in my life. And it's so little, it's so little, so I disregard them, and I don't think it's crazy, but it's those are the ones that really, really, really stay in my heart. Those are the ones I've come to struggle with things like pride, covetousness, envy, jealousy, lord, things like you don't want to see exactly, and glory be to God. Yes, I've overcome like the big sins, right? So the enemy is not going to come.
SPEAKER_04Let me not predict you're not going. Well, what am I not going to say? Thank you. So you will not you won't have to murder somebody. Yeah, he will enter through envy and down bitterness, down and going you can't kill me.
SPEAKER_05You won't come with the piece of cake and be like have your cake, right? But he will come with like the little the little things like the chicken. Exactly. Exactly. You come, you come with the little ones, and those are those I found are really the ones that I've actually that I'm currently struggling with, right? So I would say, yeah. Uh long answer to your short short question, I guess.
SPEAKER_01Tag team. But you're going to say something. I think I cut you off.
SPEAKER_02Um, I don't know. I think you said pretty much everything. I think I cut you off. I'm sorry. No, no, you didn't cut me off. I was just going on. Going on.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I think even navigating like the like the ones like I feel like even identifying those ones is still like hard to navigate because like you don't even want to admit that you have that thing because it's just a loop. Yeah. Right? So it's like how like I shouldn't be like, you feel like, oh, like I shouldn't be struggling with this, or how can I be but that's also pride. That's another idea. So it's like you're just benefits. Exactly. You keep going deeper, but it's like, how are you now going to come out of that?
SPEAKER_05Yeah. And I most definitely, oh, the hell lost my train of thoughts. We'll come back. But I was gonna say, um, uh, an underlying driving force for that might be our perceived image and how people we want how we want people to see it, or we care so much about how people see it that it kind of like gives us this mindset of oh, I cannot be struggling with this. Like, oh, surely, like a Christian, I cannot be, yeah, I cannot be jealous of this person. Like, why would I be? But then just admit it. You are jealous, so like obviously that's okay, like that's that's that's a sort of point, right? That's okay, and then I think those things are revealed to us so that we can work with the Holy Spirit. I think that just ties back into like the conversation we had the last episode on working in partnership with the Holy Spirit and then conviction and all of that. And it's like those things are brought to our attention so that we know that okay, yes, the heart is truly wicked. Um, that verse in Jeremiah 17. Verse No, let's check. I don't think it's cool Bible. My name is Jeremiah 17.
SPEAKER_04I think it's nine.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, no, ten. I don't search the heart.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I test number one. I think it's nine ten.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. The heart of man is wicked as nine and then I don't search it as ten.
SPEAKER_05Exactly. So um it's an opportunity for us to work with the Holy Spirit and come to come out of that race. We can't just hide because those little things eventually grow into bigger things. For example, covetousness. I feel like it's one of the things that we don't really talk about in the body of Christ. I think I've only heard two sermons of covetousness in my entire life. Two sermons. Have you heard? Uh you guys told me about this. I remember this. I think it was a prayer. Including the, well, yes. Well, I think it was a prayer. Yeah. I feel like Chioma. Chioma, yeah, spoke about it. She spoke about it one time. I remember the verse. I think uh what she spoke about was competitive jealousy. Jealousy. And that's in Galatians chapter, I think chapter four, chapter six. I'm not too sure. I can't help you here. I'm sorry. I can't read my Bible. I'm sorry. Chapter six. I think it's chapter six. Um, so yes, we prayed about it, and then I've only like watched two sermons of covetousness. But then I've come to realize that's actually a very big issue thing when we're talking about it. We realize it's like a chain reaction because covetousness can go into envy, it can go into bitterness and bitterness, hatred and hatred.
SPEAKER_01Eventually, you can kill it like so quick.
SPEAKER_04I feel like there's a verse. For that feel like I'll read my Bible. I'll try and find it. I'll try and find it. Okay, but yeah, anybody have any stories? Because we've said these things, jealousy. What's what's the meaning of jealousy? What's pride? What's envy? What does that mean?
SPEAKER_05What's covetousness? I think I personally, the way I've dealt with pride, it didn't come as pride, it came as humility. Hey, please elaborate.
SPEAKER_03Please elaborate.
SPEAKER_05It came as humility, it's like um oh, I'm trying to sorry, I'm trying to think of a story, a particular story. It came as humility in the sense that okay, um the sense that uh someone comes to me and then tells me that oh um you're like you're a I think when you came to me, you're like, oh, I'm disciplined. Pause. Pause. There's um truth, there's a there's some truth to that, right? But then I was like, oh no, Pauline, like I'm not, like I'm actually this, I should look at this and this and this. Trying to give all sorts of excuses, right? Just to I guess try and not make you, I guess, feel bad or some sort, like trying to tone things down, but then that's low-key pride, and uh, I think I heard from this one pastor I was listening to that pride is anything that the Lord is it's not it's not it's wrong estimation of yourself, exactly, yeah. Wrong estimation of yourself. So whether it's for you to think too highly of yourself or think too lowly of yourself, it's pride. Think something God has not said, and it's all pride, right? So um, if I call myself dumb, that's pride because that's not what the Lord has has called me to be. Like, that's not who he says I am. So those little things that we say as jokes, yes, I'm coming for you. Those little things that we say as as jokes, for blessing. Oh gosh, you're killing those little things that we say as jokes, right? Those little little things, even though it might sound humble, it can come in a form of pride. So that's how pride came to me. I get that, you get that, I hope you've received it. You've got it. I received it. Thank you. Yeah, take that with you and go and reflect. So, yeah, so that's one example, and then I think another for me is covetousness. I am covetous, and then I think with that one, that was really recent where I was talking to a bunch of people, and then they're like, Oh, um, so they didn't even do too much study, and then they got like 110 plus on their midterm. Mind you, where's the 10 plus 10 coming from? How else did you get 110 or 100 and whatever? And then yeah, I didn't even do too much, but when I'm just like I'm sitting here studying my ass off, and then um I'm not even getting a hundred. And here, someone is not even like working that hard, and they're here saying, Oh, they got 110. And I was like, I felt I felt very envious of that person. I was like, oh wow, like I'm actually like that's not fair. Like that's but like that's not fair. Like, why can't I be like so like why can't I be like you? Like, why can't I like right?
SPEAKER_03So I think that's another I think I have a similar one because in my finest midterm, right? It got curved, so I ended up getting a 99. I'm thinking, like, oh, this is good. So my friend, he said he got 110. I'm like, why did I not not get a hundred ten? Why do you have to do that? I was okay. But now when I I was like, so why? Like, why did I just get extra? I think this is the perfect example. Because I was fine. I was actually fine. So then why why this is great? Why now?
SPEAKER_02Like, oh and I feel like that's something a lot of us students low-key do be struggling with to some extent. Um everyone's like, okay, we all want to do well and obviously um get that hundred percent, but then are you actually happy for your friend who got that hundred when you got your 95? And like, you know what I you know what I mean? Like, the competition can the competition to something else. Exactly, because like I was telling y'all about that story or of that guy, or they were both business partners, and then the friend got the deal, and then he didn't get the deal, but the friend was still like, you know, we up, you know, because you're friends, right? And then now it's going on inside because you're like, oh, this person got the deal, or this person got the hundred, and I didn't, and then you know what, you know how I said yeast when you leave it there, it's kill it starts growing. And you know, he did kill, he killed the friend. Thank you. So it's like it's like you know what I mean. It's like something that we look we have to be careful of, you know, um when it comes to that. Like as students, uh I'm like I'm not lying, I'm being honest. I also feel the same way sometimes when someone will come and tell me, oh I didn't do much, I just woke up and I'm being like sleepless night, looking like and then the couch, and then the other couch there sleeping la la la la la la la. Wake up and then they just suppress you, and you're just like okay, what guys, no, we're not saying we're not saying like we're wicked people, but it is something that you have to like on as the moment you realize you need to catch it, catch it because when you leave it, and you want sometimes like you don't even realize it in the moment that oh okay, you realize it, but you don't like clock it, like really clock it until you try and justify it, yeah. Like, oh yeah, it's okay, I'll get over, and you tell the person, oh congratulations, but then over time, but we just keep going because and you can kill, you can kill Pauline, Pauline.
SPEAKER_04Are you trying to say something? No, okay, I have a question. Let's talk about it.
SPEAKER_02Yes, yes.
SPEAKER_04Okay, so how do you make a distinction between I guess being envious slash jealous slash covet? Actually, I have two questions. Envy, jealousy, covetousness. They're triplets, but they're not the same. What are they? What's what's the difference between them? I I have uh or have I'll get back to that, but the question I wanted to ask was how do you tell, how do you what's the distinction blah blah? What is the distinction between just genuinely like striving for more? Like, you know, you see someone get 100 and you're like, wow, like I want to like you know do better, like motivator, you know, yeah, and jealousy slash covetousness slash envy. Is it is it when you were okay with your 70, but you now see the 100 and you're not okay again. But 70, like it's good to have 70 and like you know want 100, right? Well, how do you how do you tell?
SPEAKER_03Maybe was it is it you're like heart passing? I think so. Because I feel like because like oh yeah, no, no, no talk.
SPEAKER_02No, I okay, I was gonna say I feel like to some extent you kind of know how you feel when you hear it. Are you actually like happy and like for that person? And are you like fully like, oh my gosh, wow, like you know, when you read the good news, you're like you know, and your heart is like truly happy, or is it like a uh well, and then inside you're like it should have been me, but yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_04How can they uh and you you that voice would be very quiet, but because you won't be able to go and ask them how they did it, yes, you would not be able to ask them because what did you read though?
SPEAKER_03How do you study our pride is that it's serious, and it's so sneaky too, because sometimes you really don't realize that you that's what it is, cancer, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Because I think that's one of the ways I don't chameleon, yeah. You'd be like I know deep down, you're like, oh my gosh, congratulations like next time it's like oh next time and then when the bag gets seven bigger wow after the exam when you go, how was it for you? Oh my gosh, it was so and it was easy, you know what I mean? So I feel like you kind of know deep down, yeah.
SPEAKER_04Also, also, did you finish? Yeah, okay. Question Contentment. Where does contentment come into this? I feel like Anthony was saying something about contentment earlier. This analogy or I guess jealousy, um like being happy. You know, we mentioned that the root of covet. Is actually not being content with the presence of God in your life. And it seems far and all related. But Hebrews 3. God. Hebrews 3. Hebrews 3. Hebrews 3. Hebrews 3. Hebrews 3.
SPEAKER_05I know that's not the words to talk about.
SPEAKER_0413. Hebrews 13. Hebrews 13.5. Well, the previous verse is on about marriage, but verse 5 says, Let your conduct be without covetousness. Be content with such things as you have, for he himself has said, I will never leave nor forsake you. So it's like God has said you'll never leave for. So why are you why are you discontent with the things that you have? And I feel like contentment is, it seems like, okay, once you're content with God, God's enough for you. It kind of helps with all these covetousness, jealousy, envy. At least those ones, I think.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I I think it's yes, like you're right. But I also think it's not also, but I see that it's a bit. Well, the reason why I think people struggle with is because of how the systems of the world have been set up. And like, oh, this person, even our own parents, in a sense that this person did better than usually. But comparing fair to social media, exactly. Social media, all these places, like we see people ahead of us doing all these great. It's so easy. Comparison is a bit of joy. Exactly. It's very easy for us to feel left behind and like, oh my goodness. I'm not doing enough. Exactly. And then I guess those feelings then I guess brew into killing. No, no, I understand what you're saying is that like sometimes when people hear these things, like it can never be me. But then it can never be till you are pushed to the no.
SPEAKER_04I remember growing up, like when we would have like maids or something, and they would do something, like maybe not, maybe someone will bring food and they won't put it in the fridge, like intentionally or something. What was it? You can kill me. Like, what do you need to think about this thing and do it? Like, you can actually kill me. And I believe her. At the time, I thought she was being dramatic, but I believe her. I really, really believe her. I'm not joking. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I'm not joking. Yeah, I can leave to kill him. I think it will need to killing guys. I'm not sure, but I think guys, believe what I say. No, we we believe you. No, it's true, and we've heard stories. Yeah, we've heard stories. Operations partner.
SPEAKER_03Even the one you were seeing with the girl and her friend. Yeah, her best friend was poisoned her because and then now she started crashing out. The abundance of the heart. The mouth.
SPEAKER_05Oh, yeah. She came out. It's actually uh it's actually a a big deal, and I think people don't really talk much about it as much.
SPEAKER_02But it's quiet, exactly. And I think one of the ways to like deal with it is actually saying it out loud. Because you know, when you say it's like you're admitting such a big thing. And then you also have like like there will be times we were on the phone, or and then like I think it was that time that period we were like, Oh, I realize I'm not that loving, or I'm not that it was difficult, actually, it was more difficult.
SPEAKER_04I remember it's very blessing, and everybody's like, Yeah, like looking at it.
SPEAKER_05You know, I see it as a joke, but I'm actually serious, like you know, it was good things.
SPEAKER_03But but you've but you've uh I'm the software and I'm working on it, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's the difference, is unless it's like you say it and you're like, Yeah, I like the way I have it. Yeah, like but it's like you're saying it and then say I'm concerned about it, like and you want to work on it. So I feel like now that I've said it, I have like people that can keep me in check, people that can also tell me, ah, sister, yeah, something was not right, or blah-da-da. And what were we saying? Having honest conversation, honest people around you, yeah, because so yes, man, that just yeah, and you have to be able to like like okay, don't live life behind a mask, but like genuinely be with people that you can just say it as it is and be honest with, because it's like at the end of the day, we are not perfect, and you shouldn't feel like, oh my gosh, I'm such a uh Christian or da-da-da, because I'm dealing with all these things in my heart, and I know like I'm someone that also struggles to speak about things. Ask these people how much it's oh yeah, she's like getting better, but then eventually, like it like when I was keeping it all in, like, there'll be times where hey Chelle, it'll be too much, and you explode, and you feel like now negative self-talk, you're just beating yourself up in your head, but then when it's like I have these things I need to work on, and then I bring it up to people I trust, people that I love, people who love me too, and then like we can work on it because this is not like a solo journey to some extent, like you need community as well, and yeah, and I say, even I guess in addition to people and yourself, um the one verse that says the way the way every man is right in his own eyes, or something like that, but God is one who knows the true motives, right?
SPEAKER_04It's like as self-aware as you think you are, there's there's still room because the heart of man is wicked, like there's still room to I guess deny these things or minimize them. It's like maybe you're very, very jealous, and you just think you're just jealous, right? But there's still room for that, so you have to go back to God and still very, very exactly. You're just jealous, one more strike, and you are you're at killing. I won't stop when you're not and what's it called? I feel like it just reminds me of David, right? Because the Bible calls me a man after God's heart, and you look at his prayers, Lord, search my heart, show me if there's any wicked way in me. Like, usually I feel like we tend to run away from our flaws, like nobody wants to see if they are wicked, like if I'm like yeah, because it's actually because you're like, Wow, yeah, it's very bright, yeah, like shouting.
SPEAKER_05Like, I'm actually and I feel like that also comes from a place of self-righteousness where we think that we're a certain way, and then like all these flaws are like I beg to differ, and like we're afraid to actually like admit confront that and then like admit pride, and it is pride on the floor, it's so sneaky, all round that it's so sneaky, but yeah, look, David was always praying all these prayers, like always like going to God, like God, touch my heart, like see you, like this is me, I'm here, and everything, and it's just we actually have to do that because we can't we can't by ourselves sit down and say, Okay, yes, I want to do self-evaluation.
SPEAKER_04Like, I mean, you might get to some extent, but truly, if you want to be really, really fully honest, and when it's now pointed out, it's not time to run. It's not time to run. No, let's say head on because it it can it can be shouting, it can be it can be a lot, it can be a lot. I remember so I remember so so it's like you are jealous, you're jealous of this person, and I was just like, Wait, why would I be jealous? Like, I don't even care about them, I know and then I denied it so I denied it. Like, I'm just a wretched man, I actually wanted to explain the level of wretchedness. I'm just crying out you're gonna tell the person I'm jealous of no I know it's so that's how they be doing it too.
SPEAKER_01I'm just like it's always it's not always, but sometimes people give a person.
SPEAKER_04Sometimes it's gonna give them a gift, someone you're envious of, go and go and give them or someone that has complimented them.
SPEAKER_05I'm just like anyways, sad eye.
SPEAKER_04Is is is it was it was a tough time because I with tears in my eyes though, with tears in my eyes, I FaceTime the girl. She was really nice about it. I love you, but yeah, tears in my eyes. I went, I had to, and I now added it to top that you know I was supposed to see this about a month ago, however, you know, I was proud, I was proud, so I'm lit. Oh yeah, don't cry, don't cry, don't cry. Sorry, listen. That's gross. You're good. You're good. See, ooh, catch yourself. Like, don't let it grow into killing, don't let it grow into killing before you recognize that you're envious. Like, are you trying to? I don't know if you know when you mentioned murder as you know one of the I was like, ah, killing, like people are killing, but now I realize that kill not because I'm telling you, you will see the person. There's a person continue talking. I'll look for it. You will see the person, you're just like, ah, they are just breathing, you don't like that they are breathing. Bro, you want to tease their breath.
SPEAKER_02It was like it used to be a thing of I didn't even I didn't even want them to laugh. Laugh, and even if it's funny, I'll do this. Oh my god, offense! And that person that one offense is actually a big, big, big move. I feel like it's one of the biggest, we'll get it soon. We'll get it.
SPEAKER_05First John chapter 3, uh, verses 15. No, hold on. Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you and you know that no murder has eternal life abided in him. Thank you. Whoever hates I agree. Whoever hates the murderer.
SPEAKER_04Thank you. But anyway.
SPEAKER_02Not us. Not not Pauline, not blessia, not blessia. Yeah, or empty, yeah, or Mababanko. The word of God.
SPEAKER_05That's serious. Just let y'all know it's not by us, but the word.
SPEAKER_02Hallelujah. And it is something we all struggle with. Like, I'm not saying it. And there will be situations, like, I feel like we go through so many things in life where we deal with so many kinds, like different kinds of people, and everyone's at a different diff. Why did you scream? Why do you scream? Why do you scream? Everyone's at a different um season email varying levels of yeah, you know what I mean? So it will some will come like one time there will be a season where you actually realize oh you're dealing with jealousy. Another season will be offense and um pride, but pride is always around the corner, she's always there, no, and offense too.
SPEAKER_04An offense, yeah. Because you're interacting with people and people keep offending you, you keep seven toes.
SPEAKER_03Oh. But what is actually the root of offense? I just cough my head. What's the what?
SPEAKER_04The root of offense.
SPEAKER_03The root, it's not just like a expectation that you had for the person.
SPEAKER_02It's the root of offense. Wait, but I feel like sometimes it could also be like someone could say something or do something and like I think it's a lot of things. Yeah, we can talk about it.
SPEAKER_04I have to think about this. Yeah, we have to do it. Next episode. Yeah, what's the root of offense?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we'll get back to you on that. Yeah, we're looking gonna talk about all of them to some extent. We'll go deeper. Go deeper. There's not enough time to get comfortable, guys. Yeah, but Loki, I think. Why are we laughing? Sorry, nothing. Oh the do you have anything to say? She has something.
SPEAKER_04You must I'll get you. I won't kill you. In summary, where do we start?
SPEAKER_01Where do we start?
SPEAKER_04Where do we start in this episode? Last deconnection to the preceding.
SPEAKER_02That was the oh yeah, yeah, yeah. It was the recap and then connection. Then we got to like heart, sins of the heart. No, jealousy offense, jealousy offense, pride, courage, pride, all of this, envy, covetousness, and there's freedom. There's actually freedom, guys. Like you can come out of it as long as you're willing to play your part. Because God will not force you.
SPEAKER_05And I feel like that's just the whole journey, though. Yeah. That's what you're talking about. Like that's that's just what it is. That's that's what keeps us going to God back. I mean, if you don't run away, but that's what just keeps us going back there because we know that yes, we're imperfect. Hey, you are the only one. You're the only one again.
SPEAKER_04Actually, gave me out of this exactly reminded. You're good. You're actually good. The episode is over, so it doesn't matter.
SPEAKER_02Guys, English. We're done. It doesn't matter. Guys, French is my first language. We bugged.
SPEAKER_04Sorry, guys.
SPEAKER_02But wait, I'm gonna I was gonna say something.
SPEAKER_04Something when you remember it, you comment it. I'll comment it. Well, when you guys comment, we'll comment them. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Okay, guys. So with that all being said, wait one more thing.
SPEAKER_05I just wanted to make it practical as well. Okay. I guess. Uh I should we shouldn't forget the word as a powerful tool. Um Hebrew chapter 4 verses 12 to 13. And NKJ. It says for the word of God is good and powerful and sharper than any two edges. Even to the tradition of the sword and the joints and the sound of the gods and the intents of the heart. And there is no creature that all things are the eyes. So the Lord knows everything. He does. He knows what you're thinking. He knows the intents of your heart, so there's no point to run in the wheel. He just wants it to come out of your heart. He would definitely work with you. Every last year. Sounds 139 or 24. Is it 139 or 39? 139. 23 and 23. I can't read that too. Sounds like 23.
SPEAKER_0423 and 24, yeah. Search me, oh God, and know my heart. Try me and know my anxieties.
SPEAKER_05And see if there is any wicked way in the way of the last thing. So that's the whole point. Here David is asking God to search him, search his heart, and to see if there's any wicked way in the world. So that he can be led in the way. And that's what we are doing. So whenever these things come up, please don't run away. Don't run away. Don't feel like you're the worst Christian to ever exist.
SPEAKER_01Even if you've killed no, yeah, even if you killed it. I don't know if he was killed. Even if you killed if you've killed all killed. You look back at it and laugh.
SPEAKER_02You know, oh the terrorist. I mean, yeah, yeah, that is true.
SPEAKER_05So um please go to God because He is the He's the only one who can make you as white as snow. And don't stop going with it. Don't stop praying about it. And also another practical thing if there's anyone you feel envious of or jealous of, anyone has offended you, pray for that person like you love the person. Speak blessings or declare blessings over their lives or their family. That was a tip that Um Shuma gave to me. And honestly, after I prayed for that person, I just felt peace. Like it is like a river.
SPEAKER_04Stop it. Stop it right now. Okay, yeah.
SPEAKER_05Inside joke, but I just felt peace. I just felt peace for that person, and just continue doing that because it takes away what you're feeling, being bitterness, envy, jealousy, all that, all that, all that. So yeah, just to make it practical as well, okay guys.
SPEAKER_03All that being said, give a little teaser to our next episode, which is going to be diving deeper into a fence. And then talking a bit more about it. And with that, that is the end of this episode. So see you guys in the next one. Bye bye. Let's see. Bye guys.
