SPEAKER_01

We are back. That is a great shirt, actually. I got it in a bag. Um I gotta wear it soon. We're back. We're in uh episode seven. Season one, episode seven. Yep. Coming off our We keep winning awards, I believe, with our award-winning list, our 80s movies draft lists. That's my list didn't mean shit. Chris, Joe, and Matt, if you follow on Instagram, you can see the list. We'll re we were just gonna do a little recap. Um we'll go with Chris's. Chris had his six movies Roadhouse, Three O'Clock High, Can't Buy Me Love, Ferris Beeless Day Off, Beverly Hills Cop, and Footloose. Joe Mobile, did you watch Three O'Clock High? I still haven't watched it. I found it. Yeah, yeah. Did you find it? Yeah, but um I didn't want to pay for it because it's not on like any streaming thing. I have to write 490. I gotta do it. It's a write-off. But every time I did it, it was uh it was like late.

SPEAKER_02

I don't even know what a write-off is.

SPEAKER_01

And I was like, I'm gonna pay for this. I'm gonna fall asleep and I'm not gonna watch it, then I have to buy it again. I uh I will. Yeah, I will.

SPEAKER_00

He was now again. He's the bad guy in kindergarten cop in 1990, just out of the little old.

SPEAKER_02

I know the bad guys in kindergarten cop. Yeah, yeah. So I did get a comment on this, though. One person did say to me. On your list? I saw the list and they said three o'clock high, greatest movie ever.

SPEAKER_01

Well, that's all you need is one person, I guess.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Uh Joe had the entire Rocky series. Um anything by Stallone. Anything Rain Man, First Blood. Uh basically Rambo. Just the Rambos. Goonies, Fast Times of Ridgemont High, and the Untouchables. And then, I mean, I'm not saying it. Other people are saying it. It was the best list. Karate Kid, Major League, Back to the Future.

SPEAKER_00

Mine was so bad. We just skipped.

SPEAKER_01

Ghostbusters. Failed the dreams in Short Circuit.

SPEAKER_00

No, that was that odd. Funny the money look at yours. Unanimous decision.

SPEAKER_02

I mean, there's some great movies on there. I would agree with most of the commentary. I don't know. Let me just flip through it real quick and finally.

SPEAKER_00

I believe I missed Back to the Future.

SPEAKER_02

Here it is. Yeah, Short Circuit, I think, lost a few people.

SPEAKER_00

I randomly saw Marty McFly in the movie today. It gained some people.

SPEAKER_02

It did gain some people. Yeah, yeah. You got some odd respect, I think.

SPEAKER_01

I got the people around my age. That was the that was the young factor. Yeah, they got it. That's fun. Yeah, I'd say so. Where were people seeing these? Like how did they even know about it? They started on Instagram. Yeah. Which you're clearly not following.

SPEAKER_00

That wasn't there for the tally.

SPEAKER_01

We posted it on MySpace page. Yeah. Yeah. We got so we're getting a little we're getting a little bit more. We got the Instagram page and now a Facebook page. Oh, we do. We do have an email. No one's emailed us.

SPEAKER_02

Although we've asked many, many times.

SPEAKER_01

Our next draft, we'll figure out what our next draft is. Maybe we'll do it in a couple episodes. We can't do it right away. I mean, maybe bring in a special guest for another draft. I think maybe mixtape. A mixtape? Mixtape. Like create your own so like six songs you'd put on a mixtape. Yeah, you'd probably put more than that, but yeah. No, I mean, well, how long's the how long is the draft going to be?

SPEAKER_00

Like 20 year olds? Yeah, I couldn't even name six songs. Yeah. No way. It'd be all of them. Almost greatest things. Yes. Not doing queen. I learned a hard way in Dallas.

SPEAKER_01

Well, that's a good segue. So we're coming off our trip to Dallas. We'll do a little quick little recap on that. That was uh that was a great time. Um so the dynamos, uh 2011 dynamos, our boys play for it. They went down to Nationals in Dallas, Texas, and had a just a great experience, I think. Um I know we did. We had a blast. But the kids had a blast. Uh we ended up losing in the semifinals in overtime to the team who eventually ended up winning it. But um besides that point, they just they had a blast. It was it was a good good trip for everybody. One of those ones where I mean they've been playing together, but I don't know how I don't know how they got even closer, but they did somehow. Yeah, they loved it. They'll never forget that. And I think it was just overall from day one to the last day was a really cool experience for for everybody. The families, the kids, the whole nine year olds.

SPEAKER_00

Except the result. But yeah, even that as time goes on. Third in the country ain't too bad.

SPEAKER_01

Third in the country. Don't chase, you know, don't chase the result. It's not the outcome. It's the it's the road.

SPEAKER_02

I told you though. I don't know if this is a good time to bring this up when I I did punch it into AI. They punched until the schedule and predicted we'd come in third. Well no, it predicted we'd lose in the semifinals in overtime. In overtime. Oh my god. Yeah, it's kind of wild. That's insane.

SPEAKER_00

And that was before the trip.

SPEAKER_02

That was before the trip. I didn't want to tell anyone that because I was a Debbie Downer. It totally is. Aside from that, though, I will say uh every kid I heard from, they said it was the greatest time of their lives. Which it should be.

SPEAKER_00

That should be. It was amazing how accurate the ranking system ordered. They're all one goal games for the most part. Yeah. Yeah, they were. Yeah, right. Yeah, I think uh besides Except for that one. Maybe the first game one game, yeah. Yeah, ours was all one goal games. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, you mean all the games? Yeah, all the games in general.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, right. But being down, I'm down three. So for that first game. So we battled and won another game in overtime, and yeah, it was awesome.

SPEAKER_01

And the families that went, I mean, there was uh we had when we went to dinner that one time as a whole group, there were 60 plus people, and I think that wasn't even everybody that was there. That was awesome. So I mean, we played two teams from Dallas, and we had more people in the stands than the hometown hosts, which was which was nuts. But and the kids were great the whole time. I mean, at 14 years old, you kind of like what's gonna happen here, right? But you didn't have to worry about them. They set their own. They're like, all right, we have this is what our curfew is before even anyone said what their curfew was gonna be. They took it so seriously, they had a blast. It was the whole the whole experience was just awesome. It really was a lot of fun. So um maybe we can do a dynamos episode once we can really delve into the games and bring the whole yeah, bring bring the whole gang and going. Yeah, yeah. Um the kids want to come on. Uh the kids do, yeah. Kids want to come on. We were talking about that. I don't know if we can bring them in the uh we could actually set them up at with little microphones and so they can all kind of talk, because we can't bring them all here. Steve doesn't want all these kids.

SPEAKER_02

We could interview each one of them, give a little like you know, we'll give them a question. Something like that. I'd like to do it together though. Yeah, yeah. Oh no, they would, but like, you know, if they're all together, like you just everyone gets it. And not like you're not gonna do favorite part of the day, maybe I don't know, maybe something like that, though.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And that's I mean, we should that that's one of the cool things they do. Um so before the games, they warm up with a soccer ball and they're just kicking it around before they um get dressed, and then when they're fully dressed before they go out for the game, they have the soccer ball that goes around the locker room and says, What's your favorite part of the day? So each player and each player. They came up with that on their own. They did this all on their own.

SPEAKER_02

It's like behind the D.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Dynamos. Like behind the B in the ruins. Yes. People could I don't know where it's that's what he meant. Yeah, you get a tough one. Tough one there. So what they did is So before every game, they that ball goes around the room, what's your favorite part of the day, and it's you know, as basic as the ride hair or lunch, or and then someone has maybe a good one, and you hear that a couple times. It's pretty cool though, that and they came up with it on their own. And so after the game ended, it was it was pretty, pretty interesting. Not interesting, but uh they were so well, they were just so upset. Kids were upset, some were teary-eyed, and um we went in and talked to them. Yeah, it was tough talking to them. It was the same thing as when I when I go into a locker room for the you know, the last high school game, the seniors, it's the last time probably playing competitive hockey, whether it's basketball hockey, anything, those those last senior games are so tough. And that's how it felt. Like, holy crap, like this is you know, that that's the wor I've always said coaching that's the worst game. You know there's only gonna be one team that actually wins it at the end. So those those kids, that's their last probably game that they're gonna play, unless a couple of them go to college, but that's not really usually the path. So it's always crying, there's always kids upset, there's always hugging and the whole thing. So we do our thing, we go in there. I for me it felt that I had that energy of it. We leave the room, and I'd say a good 10-15 minutes before we walk back in there. And some kids were still weren't even undressed yet, yeah. And they're still sitting around. But when we walked in, they had the ball, and it was going around the room. What's your favorite part of the season? And that was just like pretty awesome. It was tough. And then it gets to the coaches, and you're kind of choking up trying to say something because me personally, I'm thinking, you know, I got my kid here, uh, all of us with three coaches, coaches our coach our kids, and it's it's just crazy. But that was out of all of it, that was that was one thing I'll never forget, I think. Out of all the wins and the overtime wins that they had, and how much fun they had, and the the extra stuff we did, I felt like that was just something that will kind of shape them going forward for whatever sport they play. Like they really took that um the right way, and they'll they'll never forget that part of it, and and how they stuck together and did everything together. And and you know, two days later we have to do tryouts just the way the stuff works. And I even sit around like, hey, it's no big deal, man. You guys just did whatever. These we're all bringing everybody back, you know. We we want to as long as everyone's back, we want to keep them together. But uh and every single one of those kids made tryouts, which was pretty cool. And then they went out to dinner one night. Yeah, I know, yeah. How are you getting to dinner? You don't drive. Anyone's driving you to dinner. Uh but that was pretty cool. So looking forward to them doing it again. And I think they'll just always kind of look back on that experience and whatever it's whatever whether it's hockey, obviously, which is part of it, but anything else that they do too, it's gonna be one of those things they'll never remember.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah, which is great. So that was cool.

SPEAKER_00

That was a cool, cool thing. And on their ride home, uh they're all upset, and we saw some guys having trouble in the road. Steve, we get spliced in the video here for so they all insisted it. So, coach, coach, can we help help these guys? And I'm like, Oh, I don't know, guys. This is this is like a main road here. And those guys look pretty suspect. It was in uh teardrop. The teardrop tattoo gave it away. But uh I don't think there was help if you can. That's the whole thing. Stopped the van, they jumped out, pushed this car about a quarter mile, took a right another quarter mile, tenth of a mile into a parking lot, and then we went to in an outburger. They all want to change that to the well, I said I want to change my favorite part of the season. No, to push it out. Yeah, pushing some people in need. That's funny. How would you rate in an outburger? Yeah, right. Quick speed, give them a ten. Yeah, price, yeah. Speed pretty good.

SPEAKER_01

I thought the price was good. Yeah, right, right. Like we said, we compared it to like a five guys price-wise, it wasn't even close.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, at least maybe it's different. Like if an outburger opened here, would it be a rage just like five guys? I don't know. Yeah, true.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, that's a good point. Yeah, no, I I I thought there's too much hype to it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's what I'm getting at.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, everyone raved about it. It was kind of like when Chick-fil-A first came out. Yeah, well.

SPEAKER_01

That's that's how they get you. It's you're not around it, so then Yeah, yeah. It's funny. Teaching marketing, you watch these videos and they talk about how like when Sonic wasn't here, oh yeah. And that you'll see ads for Sonic. And it's like, why do you see ads for Sonic before they even said they were coming here? It's because when you go on vacation, where's the first thing you're gonna go? Is a Sonic. It's almost setting you up to go no matter where they are in the country or if you're going somewhere else. That's funny. And that's kind of and that's the In N Out, right? Like that is funny. Um there should be no reason we even know about In N Out Burger. It's nowhere near us. There's nothing on the East Coast. Yeah, there's nothing, right?

SPEAKER_00

That's how um what's what's the word pizza pizza? See Little Caesars. That's how that expanded. They were like a local show. I happen to watch a documentary the other day. This came up, but that so that tagline and big they did a national advertisement, and everyone's like, why would they do that? They're only local, like in this part of the country. And it was to drive franchisees to start opening them up. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It was more advertising to that. Yeah. Pizza pizza.

SPEAKER_01

All right. So today our our main topic, we're gonna talk um, we're gonna talk golf, little golf trips. So next week we're we're heading out to uh Hilton Head. We have a group of eight guys. It's like uh I guess it's kind of a brain tree hockey slash baseball group that's going, right? We're all hockey, we're all baseball. Maybe maybe at different levels, some of us, but it's still if you're gonna if you're gonna put a name to it, if you're gonna give a reason, it's more of like a brain tree, brain tree group going up. Yeah, brain tree group. Um with with Brother Dan. Brother Dan got in because official. Uh breaking news. Um unfortunately, our um fourth guy who is not here is also not gonna be in the golf trip. Yeah. So oddly enough, he got one guess who that is. Seems like he's setting a little precedent now going forward of how this is gonna go. Famous quote, I'm into Lumna. Yeah. And he's not. So so ironically, Brother Dan was already gonna be in South Carolina. I mean, that's a whole other podcast, probably. Uh and he's gonna make his way down there. It's and he's gonna be our eighth guy. So yeah. So what we kind of wanted to talk about is how golf trips go, best golf trip, worst golf trip, best golf guy, worst golf guy, all these different things we can kind of chat about. It's me, it's my first golf trip ever. I haven't been on a golf trip. Yeah, which is shocking to me. Yeah, yeah, I can't believe that. I haven't been on a golf trip. So I'm I'm really, really excited. Yeah. But I know you two are more veterans to this whole thing. So I have more questions for you guys.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I'm not even really a bet. You probably more. I mean, this will be my third golf trip. Yeah. Um, and as many.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So I went on one with a bunch of guys from for like seven, eight, I don't know. Yeah, seven, eight years could take down a myrtle. Yeah. I was always in the middle of the year. Yeah, yeah, every yeah, and then as soon as it ended, like everything it's hard to get back. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

But it's funny how it starts. You wonder how it's like, how does it start? Because you're kind of just like like even this one, it just sort of like it's just like comes out of nowhere. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But then all of a sudden, like that first one you went on that went eight years. Is it you're there and you're like, all right, guys, next year we're doing this again.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah, yeah. That's how that one I went, the group of guys. We started in Naples. I think there was nine of us had a blast. We're like pencil this in for next year straight away. Like, not even a question of the thing.

SPEAKER_02

How do you divide the nine? What do you do?

SPEAKER_00

No, well that was the tricky part that time. I think we didn't have a I think we did threesomes. Um they canceled the trip. No, maybe someone bailed or we had we were supposed to have twelve, but then the next year it went to twelve, the next year it went to sixteen, then it went to twenty. Oh, Jesus. And at twenty got a little too big because thing about golf trips not to give too much away. Whether you're twenty or eighty, you think you're on spring break. Yeah, no. And so you go out with Oh your age, not twenty or eighty years old. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Exactly. And I handicaps it, and no one cares about that down there. But it's uh but no, it is funny, but so the first night you go out and get a good meal and probably have too much a drink. And so the first year we did it, we did like yeah, we're gonna play 36 a whole a day, 7 a.m. tea time. Yeah, it's aggressive. That second year from now on, no tea time before no night. And extra golf is optional. Um Yeah, so then it can be a struggle by the depending on how long it is, if you if you keep that pace up, it's and I would assume the bigger the group is just more it's more difficult to manage.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that's right.

SPEAKER_00

Because you gotta have the guy that like runs kind of is the one running the like if you get to that big two, you have match I mean you'd have matches no matter what, but if you have twenty, you're you gotta play some sort of format like Oh, I'm thinking before that.

SPEAKER_02

I think what you're getting at is how do you like how do you plan that? Yeah. The first time you go down, you got nine guys. So you got like you got six people that are jealous, like, hey, how come I don't get invited? You know what I mean? Like true.

SPEAKER_00

Like, well, and then that and that that can happen. You're like next year you're in. Here's the dates, boom, and that's how it grows. Or people are talking about it, and they're like, Oh, I gotta go next year, but I'm definitely in.

SPEAKER_02

But there's always someone that you're like, no, not that guy.

SPEAKER_00

It's gotta be.

SPEAKER_02

It's gotta be, right?

SPEAKER_01

I mean, even when I've been on a golf trip, I love you wouldn't uh you wouldn't really bring it up, I guess, right? To those people. Yeah, as it's gotta be weighted. As it's an option for you to go next year.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Because usually when people talk about it, when I've heard people talk about their golf trip, I don't I'm not like, why am I not invited on your golf trip? How do I get in on your golf trip? It's more like, oh, Joe's going with the these guys. I'm like, oh, that's interesting, that's fun. I would think the same for this. We come back. Maybe it's somebody that's like maybe War Cup next year wants to go in, like, yeah, of course. Let's go. Or somewhere, or we go, hey, you know, Joe Schmoe, why don't you come into it too?

SPEAKER_00

And even that nine, so like the next year, let's I don't even know if I'm being accurate here, but nine to twelve, we didn't just add three, like three dropped, we added six basically. Yeah, yeah. But three couldn't go that next year, or got in trouble and grounded for the next year or whatever the reason. But then we did try and when it got up to twenty, it got too many, and then we're gonna do Cancun, and that instantly cut numbers down.

SPEAKER_02

Wait, golf trip to Cancun? I didn't think it's that sounds strange. Did you go?

SPEAKER_00

Did you do Cancun? I did the first year. I could not pull it off. I mean it's a tough sell. Oh god, yeah. When I was telling strangers about that, and they're like, Well, when you hear Cancun, you think spring was break, right? Uh and ironically, it was it was the cheapest trip and probably the most mild, like because it was an all-inclusive. Yeah, we wouldn't go off the island.

SPEAKER_02

That'd be like December?

SPEAKER_00

I don't even know when it was.

SPEAKER_02

You know what I mean? Like you go down there in the middle of August, you're sweating your biggest.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah, no, it wasn't like that. Yeah, yeah. It was around a golf golf trip. Yeah, it was like a golf trip. It wasn't like far off. Yeah. Yeah. But it was right around the time the whole wall thing was up. So it was like, Christ. Yeah, yeah. It was like we're not going off the reservation. No, right. I mean, I think we go to King. But it was five, it was all it was all inclusive, five star, like, you know, you order a cheeseburger at two in the morning, included. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I think that's probably the best.

SPEAKER_00

The all inclusive than the Myrtle Beach trips, if I remember correctly. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

That would be that would be a great selling point, is the all-inclusive part of it. It is. And honestly, you're at spring break, you're playing golf. The spring breaker's on the golf course. No, right, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

But it and also because it was a resort, our bags were already on the car. Like we took our bags off once, and the rest of we just showed up and they were on the car.

SPEAKER_02

How about the golf courses was good?

SPEAKER_00

They were nice, yeah. Um yeah. Do they play that?

SPEAKER_02

PGA doesn't play in Cancun, do they? I don't know.

SPEAKER_03

Right.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I wouldn't know either. I remember I was looking for a golf ball in a caddy. Like, and yeah, I'd take caddies and they'd help you with anything, they'd do whatever. But I'm like, hey, buddy, you know, the title is here. I'm in a match. I gotta find this. He goes, Oh, okay, I think I went in there. But he wasn't helping me at all. Like, should I is this restricted here or should I not? He goes, Oh, the some kind of snake is in there. Oh, and he was like, he would he was nowhere near. And I'm there like neck deep in it, like looking around for my three dollar title. And he goes, I'm like, oh, what yeah, what is that? He goes, uh, I'm like, what happens if it bites? He goes, you die. I go, what? What do you mean? He goes, yeah, not in hospital, 30 minutes, you die. I'm like, wait, do you have like the antidote or anything? He goes, no. He goes, I don't leave ball, leave ball. I'm like, you're on that one, dipshit. I'm like, yeah, Jesus Christ, yeah. I'm like, I think you would have told me that before I've been there for half an hour. Is that I lost that hole.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I would say out of all the ones you've been, is that the No I I still like Myrtle.

SPEAKER_00

Like Myrtle, you could get you take an early flight and you or anywhere in the Myrtle, South Carolina. Yeah. But you take an early flight, you could play that morning, so you don't lose the case. Yeah, so you're not going to be able to do that.

SPEAKER_02

I found that tough going flying down. It is tough because you can't even see.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, because you can't check in, you know, it's a shit show getting the vans, as we know it.

SPEAKER_02

Anyhow, at the end of the yeah, then you're changing at the golf course and you're kind of just rushing it. Everybody's starving.

SPEAKER_00

Exactly.

SPEAKER_02

Then you're like, oh, you're up. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Some guys start drinking at that early flight. Oh yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So where would I know? Should we get into places to go?

SPEAKER_00

Like where would you I I've liked Myrtle I've done Naples, Myrtle, and um I actually did TPC sawgrass in Florida. Oh yeah. Nice, but that's pricey.

SPEAKER_02

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_00

It was awesome. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

That's what I got listed. That's funny. It's Myrtle Beach, Hilton Head, Florida. You never did like I got Ireland and Scotland.

SPEAKER_00

I have a golf chip and putting Ireland, that's it. No, oh sorry. I would love the Ireland one.

SPEAKER_02

I think that'd be that would be a fun trip.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that would be and that's all planned like by a travel agent or something.

SPEAKER_02

But I wonder that'd be long though. Like that's not a three-day trip. That's not leaving Thursday and coming out Sunday. No, that's probably what, an eight-day trip, maybe? Because you've got to have a lot of things. How long does it take to get from one side of Ireland to the other? Is that like a two-hour drive?

SPEAKER_00

Uh it depends how you go. Oh, two hours. No, no, it's like that'd be a day of miserable driving. Oh, it is? Oh, all right. I mean, if you were going it depends. If you're going east to west, I suppose it wouldn't or wouldn't be too bad. And the highways have gotten better. Yeah. But to get to a lot of these courses, it would not be Oh yeah. So you're not going for a weekend to go play. Yeah, and it's not easy drive, in my opinion. It's not easy driving if you get out and you feel like like the drive home the street.

SPEAKER_01

I think year two year two can't be Ireland.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

No, I think that's aggressive. Year five.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, health has a great.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it's my buddy did that. He got to go and uh he waited. You show up at like four o'clock in the morning. Yeah. They don't tell you anything, you just sit there. There must be a line every day. Yeah, and I think he was there early enough where he was like second, third in line. So he's like, All right, I got a chance here. And he just sat there and he waited and waited. And I think it was on his honeymoon too, but his wife knew he wanted to do it. So she was like, just go do it.

SPEAKER_01

So you gotta just go and get yourself in line, basically.

SPEAKER_02

That's what he did. I don't know if that's the way it always is, but I think it is because he was um What's the one in New York? Yeah, same thing, like a raffle.

SPEAKER_01

It's like you show up at four in the morning to get a raffle ticket or something.

SPEAKER_02

That's yeah, I don't think this had a ticket because he said something like there was like a father and son there too, waiting.

SPEAKER_00

I think they were in front of them. And like uh, I just imagine going thinking.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, because of course you never know. You have no idea if you're gonna be able to play. And they like said to him, like, hey, all right, come on, you're up. Yeah. He was like, oh my god. What are you doing there? I got a little mocker.

SPEAKER_00

Technology?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. It sucks.

SPEAKER_00

Cutting edge.

SPEAKER_01

Uh I never used a pen because I never charged it. Then I started using it the last week, but now it's making that. Oh, that has to be charged. Oh, you could yeah. The pen's got to be charged. Instead of typing with your finger, you can draw around. Yeah, yeah. It's an Apple uh Apple ad for us. You're just writing like gibberish there.

SPEAKER_00

St. St. Andrews. But it's picking up your bad penmanship. That's pretty cool.

SPEAKER_01

I had uh the best penmanship in uh fifth grade, guys.

SPEAKER_02

So was that in your yearbook? I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

That was my fifth grade yearbook. I found some old yearbooks. Not best hair, no, no, no. Um best personality, I believe. That went down. Oh that's kind of funny. Uh can anyone play at St. Andrews?

SPEAKER_00

Anyone can. It just yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I'm seeing like if they give you the uh public course, but you must uh oh you must have a handicap certificate, maximum 36. Well, advanced tea times are different secure. Golfers can play through a 48-hour ballot. Oh, oh, I think a singles queue or by booking with authorized providers.

SPEAKER_00

So it's probably have like every other tea time is like first come, first order.

SPEAKER_01

Singles queue register in person or online to be paired.

SPEAKER_00

He had just got married.

SPEAKER_01

No, but no, he was a single golf.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I think after waiting 18 hours on your honeymoon, yeah, he was single after that.

SPEAKER_01

The ballot 48 hours ahead, apply for the daily ballot on the St. Andrews website. Yeah, so it's I mean, it looks like there's a chance. Advanced bookings, though, you can author through authorized permission. 12 to 14 months in advance. Yeah. That's what that says.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, but like even the ocean even the ocean course down where we're going is I think six months to a year in advance. Oh, yeah. That's like War on the Shore, Ride of Cups. We're not playing nineteen ninety. No, and it's like I don't know, seven hundred bucks around something like that. Yeah. It's crazy. I was playing only nine hundred around.

SPEAKER_01

Um on Instagram it was a story, and uh the guy was listing the um most expensive um rounds of golf rounds of golf. It was I I got I want to look it up because it was I believe the most expensive one they they found was like thirteen hundred dollars or something. Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it's TPC Sagrass was I think six. I've done it twice. It was like six fifty the second time or something.

SPEAKER_02

So we went we went to Hilton Heads, I think two last year maybe we played it. We played Habitown. But you stay in the region.

SPEAKER_00

They just played in the PGA last week.

SPEAKER_02

So we played that's good that's why the guys wanted to play it. So but we stayed there, so it was a discount. I think it was on like four. It's I mean not long. But it's four fifty. Oh, we've been on four fifty.

SPEAKER_01

Here's uh here's the top five. Just as well as closed. Oh yeah, yeah. Any guess where where Well which one? I'd say is it in America? It's in America.

SPEAKER_00

You're guessing this yeah, I'll give you just guess the state. New York. I'm gonna say Actually probably do. It's probably not even a nice Oh, I could be wrong though. I'd give you a second guess too. What Wisconsin. Arizona. Wisconsin's in the top five. That's whistling stretch. That's whistling stretch. Yeah, yeah. Try and think where yeah, where all the U.S. opens win. But saw Sawgrass is two at 900. Wow, yeah. It was then that was probably ten years ago. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Uh Pebble Beach is five. That is uh six seventy.

SPEAKER_00

That's a bucket list in Pebble meeting.

SPEAKER_01

Wind golf is seven fifty. That's in Vegas. In Vegas. The number one guy number one in Vegas, Shadow Creek. Wow. $1,200. And you have to stay at the MGM. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Some of TPC Shawgrass, we had to like stay within.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, they went to stay there. So that's that's why we got the discount. We stayed within Habitown and you got a little discount on it.

SPEAKER_01

So Shadow Creek requires guests to stay at the MGM property, often requiring a limousine ride to the course. Um the high fees include caddies, luxury carts, and immaculate tournament ready. I mean, they bet it better be immaculate, immaculate tournament ready golf course names. I mean it's twelve hundred dollars.

SPEAKER_02

Where are you at though a golf course? Like not to this seems like an odd topic to bring up. Like when we were at Merital Beach, every one. No, if it was a famous one, I wouldn't.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, if it's a famous one, you know, like TPC. I actually was kind of pissed. The second trip, I'm like, fuck, I've already played it. Like I don't want to pay $600 around. Right. We never said I played here and I've you know forgotten most of it.

SPEAKER_01

You played it, you've spent the money and you get to say, Oh, I played soccer.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's all that's all what like say it. But like Shopdown or Pebble Beach.

SPEAKER_01

I think the only thing I would be is disappointed if I spent $1,200 to play golf. That's my point.

SPEAKER_00

Like, you know, it must be like eight-hour rounds. I bet you the lug luxury carts are like probably like. Yeah, like to see maybe they show the luxury carts.

SPEAKER_02

Is that worth $1,200?

SPEAKER_00

No. But you'd be like, I'm gonna get my money's worth it.

SPEAKER_02

That thing better not be like out of out of the area and you have to back up because you're not in the cockpit.

SPEAKER_00

Let me get bit by the venomous snake.

SPEAKER_01

You're right, though. It's it's kind of I don't know. I mean, I I guess some of it's a new money, right?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, 1200 they're trying to be like, yeah, if if you are worried about that, don't golf it.

SPEAKER_02

I mean, Vegas is so expensive anyway, though.

SPEAKER_00

That's a thing, right? I mean, play that out. It used to not be. It's outrageous now. Some guys are four hours at the table betting twelve hundred a hand.

SPEAKER_02

Right. True. But for Vegas, $1,200's probably I mean, it's the golf course really I know. It's probably a $600 round. But Vegas, it's $1,200.

SPEAKER_01

And you're the in you have to stay at these certain places, like they're making you it's kind of funny how that's so it's a public course, but only if you're staying in the hotel.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, staying at their hotel. Yeah, because the other course you can't even put a price, you know, some of them like you know, Gustav members probably aren't even allowed to donate for some.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Um I found this interesting. Like, what's the worst? What would you rather have? The guy who drinks too much or the guy who won't go out at all?

SPEAKER_00

I might take the guy that doesn't go out. Hold on. Trick question. You can never drink too much on a golf trip. I would say it would be the Debbie Downer.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Like the guy, the guy that drinks too much, that's there's got to be a good story with that eventually. Yeah, it might get annoying, but the guy who doesn't go out, why'd you come? Yeah, yeah. Well, somebody's gotta drive the van too. I don't know. Yeah, that's why I like it.

SPEAKER_02

I don't know. Yeah, that's a tough question. That's not a tough question. Huh? I'm not saying there's anything. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Well, who's more annoying? Well, let's let's put it back cut next year.

SPEAKER_00

But even if guys don't even if like somebody doesn't drink or taking a night off, they still go out and lay out. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

The guy that doesn't go out, yeah, he'd get cut.

SPEAKER_01

You're right about that. And and it's also you have to the guy who drinks too much. Okay.

SPEAKER_02

What kind of drunk is he? Is he fighting people?

SPEAKER_01

Is it turning into like an issue? Is he like the but if if you're just on the surface, the guy who either do drinks?

SPEAKER_00

That would be it, yeah. Yeah. Is Charlie Sheen a cameo is it a cameo? Is it not a cameo? But yeah, I've had uh we've definitely all drank too much on trips. But I see what you're saying. Like some people drink and go home to bed, and other people end up arguing and causing issues. Yeah, yeah. You never want that on a garden. No, you don't want the argument part of it. Even with even amongst the group or with random people in whatever place you're in. Yeah. That's even crazier.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, that's a good point. That's a good question, though. I'm just trying to prepare for things, you know. What are you most worried about for next week? Oh, that's a good question.

SPEAKER_01

Right? Yeah. There's nothing to worry about.

SPEAKER_02

No, I know.

SPEAKER_01

I got I mean I mean, I just want to. But he's an over he's an overthinker. I'm an overthinker. I just I just want to I don't want to be so bad. And no nobody else is gonna care except for me. No, you know. It'll be in my own head and be like, what the fuck? I'm not people, I'm terrible. This stinks.

SPEAKER_00

Well, let's say of the group. People on your team will care. That's what I mean.

SPEAKER_01

I don't want to let people down.

SPEAKER_02

But we got some golfers. That's what I'm saying. You're Todd's bottom that you are expected to perform. Yes. Yeah. Uh oh. Hold on.

SPEAKER_01

Because I mean, if you're looking, I don't know.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, we're not gonna we're not gonna make teams anyway. You might make a six.

SPEAKER_00

No, oh no, they'll make teams. Yeah, we got we've got to play for something. Yeah, no, we gotta make six minutes. Yeah, there'll be about ten different matches going. There'll be a probably a two-day event. Yeah, how's it Dan good or no? Dan's probably better than me, um, but not like much much better than that. Oh, you guys wouldn't have official handicaps, right? No, no, I don't have an official handicap. Here we go. All the golfers I roll. No, I never play this good. I swear I'm a 20. I haven't played this year yet. I haven't taken a swing because my shoulder we covered in episode three things I hate getting old. I'm hating it even more now. I played this I played today. Oh, you played at North Hill. I have not taken a swing. I haven't taken a swing since the Dynamo um classic uh fundraiser.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, the the uh the simulator. Simulator. And then I played last week too. I played at uh Widow's Walk. Played 18 at Widow. Widows Walk's tough. It's tough, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, what's that real narrow or something? Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But actually they got rid of a lot of brush, but it's still it's still really tough. I'm and I went to I went to the driving range the other day. Like I just want to swing. That's all I want to do. Yeah, just swing my club. Not that it's really gonna help me. I probably should get a lesson or something. Yeah. The driving range is tough though, because that's a mad get hit off. It's like I went to um uh the range. It's only 12 bucks for a bucket bucket, which is great. But it's uh the new mats that they have, you gotta put your own tea in, and sometimes you can't really Were you under the cover or were you off to the side?

SPEAKER_00

I was off to like right there. Yeah. Right. Uh the grass range is tough. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Because it doesn't have grass. It hasn't right. Oh, but it has the one you can put the tea in.

SPEAKER_02

But you can't kind of tough the it's always kind of a little high, but yeah. Yeah, I went up to um Granite Lynx and hit some balls the other day, too. How much was the bucket there? They have an extra large bucket. I think it was like twenty or twenty-two.

SPEAKER_00

And then you're almost if you're gonna hit two or three, you're better off.

SPEAKER_02

Two or three buckets? You can hit two or three buckets?

SPEAKER_00

Uh those buckets, they're tiny. No, I don't know. I get tired. I wouldn't, yeah. I I just got through saying I can't even take one swing.

SPEAKER_01

You could have done two buckets. I probably Oh, you could? There was some balls. I got that right when it opened, there was already balls in the thing. So I probably got like a bucket and a half. I probably could have done it. But yeah, they yeah, they cheap out on you.

SPEAKER_02

But are you going with the purpose or are you just like swing, swing, swing, swing?

SPEAKER_01

I was doing I got my clubs re-gripped. I got a thicker club, so I just wanted to hit my irons. I did the jumbo grip.

SPEAKER_00

Was that from that John Daly clip? John Daly uh and who else?

SPEAKER_01

John John Daly talking about Bryson. But me jungle. When I'm holding my putter, I feel like I grip it better. And then I'm thinking, oh, and I got one club that I bought online and it had the thick grip. Wait, you did the big jumbo one? Oh, just the mid, like the one down, right? Yeah, yeah. Not not the size of a putter. Yeah, yeah. But uh yeah, I got I got a uh I got a wedge and it had the it had the bigger grip. No, and I loved the feeling of that, and I was like, you know what, I have to get them all done. Oh, my iron's done.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I think I didn't do my woods. So that's my driver. I think it's DeShambeau and John Daly going through each other's and they were saying he's like that's the biggest thing amateurs should do is get a bigger grip. So it felt more I feel like I'm holding it.

SPEAKER_02

Well, I don't have heard people say like they like a smaller grip because it like you're a grower, you're a shower. I was gonna make an ethnic joke myself, but I deserved it.

SPEAKER_03

Keep a PG.

SPEAKER_01

Well, we probably should we could almost make another list and have um because when I was looking up some some uh questions for this, it was the uh what what do you what'd they call it? Oh, your your roles. Like we should we should probably put each guy's name up and then we can give them a role on what we think they're gonna be for the uh for the weekend.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, like the stereotypes? Oh, really?

SPEAKER_02

Well, I don't think we want to do any names yet.

SPEAKER_00

I would them not here to defend themselves. That'd be pretty tough.

SPEAKER_02

I don't know if any of them listen to the show. Well, I think we'll get around. Yeah, I think should we make an attempt at it then? No.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, three of us are here and I mean, so Dan's gonna be Dan's easy. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Dan's just gonna be like the young idiot. Yeah, that's just gonna do stupid stuff that we're gonna laugh at.

SPEAKER_02

Right.

SPEAKER_01

Uh and that's basically honestly, that's a Tuesday. You know what I mean? So it's not a golf anime, it's just what he does. So that's that he'll be the kind of the comic relief, I think. I don't know what I'll be. I mean, you could probably I'll probably just be awkward, I guess. That's what I am. I'll definitely wear that shirt down there. Chris got me an awkward shirt. Oh, I'm sorry, I'm awkward. That'll be awkward.

SPEAKER_00

I'll be I'll be awesome. What are you gonna be? I know. I got Dan I'd follow up that one.

SPEAKER_02

Awkward and awesome. Somewhere between the other. I was just getting rid of the awesome.

SPEAKER_01

There's this like wooden of those wooden uh I don't get it. Jokes on it tonight.

SPEAKER_02

You're gonna be the guy that doesn't go out? No. We're going out.

SPEAKER_00

Go out, yeah, one night, but then done. There's always that's always uh plenty of people like that. Oh no. Yeah, this will be fun. That wasn't allowed on any golf trip out there.

SPEAKER_02

You were dragged out. Oh, it's actually, yeah, what is it? You got three nights right there, say Friday, Saturday.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that's gonna be good. I mean, Todd's like, I feel like the planner of this whole thing. He's like the He'll be the steady. He's like the dad. Yeah. Um not the dad, but you know what I mean. He'll know what to do. Oh, he knows what to do. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's what I have to do.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, he'll be the guy. Not booking not booking the golf, you know, that type of thing. Yeah, yeah. I never threw anyone under the bus faster. Like he hasn't done shit. He goes, he's like, he hasn't done shit. I'll I'll book it.

SPEAKER_02

My favorite bottom was talking to Killer the moment. Don't worry, I'll do it. And then like, I don't know, three weeks later, I'm like, shall we?

SPEAKER_01

And she was like, What? Oh man. You said you were. Well, we I mean we tried to play golf in Dallas, but they didn't know the rental sets. This is the hat.

SPEAKER_00

Farmers. I got this hat, too. Oh, you did? I got this. I don't know what that was. I think one star. One star. It's the only souvenir I got.

SPEAKER_01

I bought a uh bottle opener that says Dallas, Texas in the airport uh when I was going on the way home. I was like, I need something from here.

SPEAKER_00

Well, in the lighter, do that saying.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I got the lighter, yeah. Oh no, it didn't say anything.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, we didn't get the cigars. Yeah, I forgot about that.

SPEAKER_01

That was I still have I maybe I'll just bring them. Bring them on a plane again.

SPEAKER_02

I know.

SPEAKER_01

The cigars and a lighter. Are you a cigar guy? Uh I'm not a cigar guy.

SPEAKER_00

Cigar guy. You guys were walking around that place like you were like what uh what brand is this? I think we just wanted to. I'm more impressed with the employees.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it was just it was a crazy.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, we went to a cigar bar in Dallas and literally guys are just walking around smoking the cigars in the middle of a bike. It's a humongous humidor, I think, on the inside.

SPEAKER_02

It was kind of cool.

SPEAKER_00

The ice cream shop cross away.

SPEAKER_01

Uh here's another good debate. Worst worst combo. Bad golfer and slow player. Or good golfer and bad attitude. Ooh. Oh, worst. So bad golfer, and not only is he bad, he's slow. That's kind of a good combination. The good golfer and a bad attitude, I think that's the worst that's a worse combination.

SPEAKER_02

That's not a good look.

SPEAKER_01

I think the first one would annoy everybody. The first one, you think? Yeah. You think the good golfer with a shitty attitude? Uh well, he could golf on his own. What kind of attitude, I guess? Is it arrogant?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, if he's playing, yeah, trying to like play ahead of you being like waiting, huffing him, which is bad.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. No, I'd say the slow golfer that uh that sucks. Slows everyone off. I don't mind looking for a ball, but like when you're looking for the ball and everyone's like, what are you doing? Oh, what kind of magic?

SPEAKER_01

Joe walks out with hundreds of balls. No.

SPEAKER_02

I mean, if you're right there and you can find them, if you see one immediately, you can't go looking for one 15 yards in. That everyone saw went in the water.

SPEAKER_01

I I assume we're all on the same page with this. Music on the course, yes. I don't even know if that's a good question. Yeah. I think that makes it so much.

SPEAKER_00

When I'm putting well, that's it. I'm just kidding.

SPEAKER_01

Then you have the the playlist, and then it becomes, oh man, I'm playing this playlist, I like it. Now everyone else, I think this is my own craziness. Everyone fucking hates this. Like I'm just ruining it with their judging playlist. Mind games. Yeah. Not a bad idea.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I like the music idea. We bring in the speakers, though. Somebody must have them, right? I don't know. You know what I bought? You know what I got is one of those uh magnet.

SPEAKER_01

You see that pin golf? I don't know if you've seen pin golf. No, so like the blueberg stuff? Something like that, yeah. But pin golf has, you know, one of those speakers that just it's a magnet. It's a pretty pretty decent sized speaker. But they came out with a speaker that has so they have a speaker and then they have this like iPad that has every um course downloaded on it. Oh yeah. And it's an iPad, but you can't do anything else on it but that. Oh, that's cool. So it's almost like, hey, put your phone away. You don't need your phone, you're not distracted, you shouldn't use this. So the net the newest thing that they came out with, it's actually the kids from I think the kids from Quincy. Or they're in Quincy, like their headquarters are in Quincy. Um and now all roads lead back to Quincy.

SPEAKER_02

Their speaker Oh, there must be in Merrimouth and that Gargita.

SPEAKER_01

So their new speaker comes with the actual there's a screen on it that does the same thing. So it gives you the gives you the outage. But it also, if you're gonna play games, it has all these games downloaded on it. No kidding. So I got it. Like simulate simulate it. Yeah. And uh yeah, it hasn't come in yet, and I looked it up. It was pre-ordered, and it's not coming till after. You don't think the PGA still has it? No, they don't have it. It's a pre-order online pre-order. So I actually I DM'd them on Instagram. It was like, hey, we got a golf trip. There's got to be one hanging around. We'll mention on our podcast. This will probably come out. This is gonna not come.

SPEAKER_00

That's gonna be get home straight away. But uh yeah, I'm whether it's a pretty cool thing. Because it's like playing the simulator, so you everything. Yeah, so no one's like writing it down, scribbling it down. For a bigger golf trip, that t would take a lot um of work away from a guy like golf. I mean it's fun. It's a pain in the ass. It's fun for everybody except that one guy.

SPEAKER_01

But the guy that does it usually likes to be a good thing. But if you have that screen up and you can see it just like top golf and be like, oh, he's there, he's there. That would be cool.

SPEAKER_00

They should do that in like scrambles. Yeah. That could be the next thing.

SPEAKER_01

It was pretty cool. I mean, I'm just I was watching it and they did a great ad with it. And you could probably pulled it all into the cots.

SPEAKER_00

Nobody would have believed we were gonna go to 21 under.

SPEAKER_02

You guys want 21 under? Well, that's we haven't heard this before. 49, if you um actually if we're talking about who's annoying, not this isn't exactly. Oh, yeah. I'm glad I reminded you of it though. Yeah, no. The guy know what guy's annoying is the guy that's like behind. Oh, yeah. The guy that steps up to the ball when he's like 180 out and he's like, uh I can well I can hit my nine. I can hit my nine with 190. And you're like, Oh, I see why I reminded you of this guy. Yeah. No, right? I'll give him my nine. I'm like, you can hit your nine in it, 190? Oh, yeah. And then he hits it. And then he hits it like 80 yards. Yeah. And you're like, ah, I didn't catch it.

SPEAKER_01

Waiting for the green to clean. He's 230 out, and then he's like, Yeah, you know what? I'll wait till they get off the green. Yeah. No. I don't like that guy. That's what reminded me of guys when you say who's annoying. But that's a great clip from Curb.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, and then he hits a guy, right? Dead center in the back, and the guy who's deaf.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, yes.

SPEAKER_00

I was signing.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, here's another one. I I think we know uh I would guess our our answer on this one, but it says matching outfits elite or embarrassing. See, I think you could be in a matching outfit guy. I could do that. Yeah. Like if we did it, I don't think Joe would do it.

SPEAKER_00

No, I I Joe would do it. How'd you do it? Me and Todd. Well, see, that's what I'd try and I did try and um matching shirts.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I think I think we should have I think we should pick our teams at the beginning of the week. Yeah. Somehow, even if it's just over text. Yeah. And so we can go in and we can start talking shit right away before we even like we're sitting together on the plane. Oh, yeah, yeah. Like we're locking in together.

SPEAKER_02

Well, we have well, we are because of the everyone else's 3C, 4C, and then 25C. So what do you mean? Oh, is that well you're not gonna be there on the plane. Yeah, right. Right.

SPEAKER_00

So uh oh, you were thinking of wearing it to the airport and everything. Well no, it'd have to be the first, first.

SPEAKER_01

Just if you're not gonna be in the airport, then you're not gonna be around.

SPEAKER_00

And if you're gonna do it, well, it would be pretty hard. Yeah. Be pretty the coolness would go away each day if you kept showing up in the same outfit.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, you can't wear the same outfit.

SPEAKER_00

But not the same, but even a different outfit, but the same. But you guys really coordinated this.

SPEAKER_01

But I think you'd have to do like the pants. It might be too late now if we were thinking about that too, because you'd probably have to order some stuff. No, I could go. PGA store could do that. They got good they got crazy pants, though. I mean, I think you'd do a pretty show.

SPEAKER_02

I don't know. Yeah, right. That's true too, right. Yeah, somebody would have them. But you don't have to worry about your team. Like you just go get two, you know.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, depending if we're doing yeah, if we're doing four to figure out though. All right. So here's a list of guys. Um I went to Dairy Queen after meeting. Todd got DQ'd, and um and I was dying to show up in me and Todd and Dairy Queen uh shirts. Oh shirts, but they who knew DQ doesn't sell fucking swag. It's like they're costing themselves a fortune.

SPEAKER_01

All right, so um each guy so I I have roles here. We'll see if instead of giving a guy.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, okay. We're gonna have a role and we'll define who that's so the commissioner.

SPEAKER_01

I'd be the commissioner. Oh, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

He's fine. I don't think anybody wants us talking about well, well no, these are these aren't like means. No, I know, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Uh the sandbagger. I haven't played in months. Shoots a 78. This guy could be banned from betting.

SPEAKER_00

Um who's gonna be the sandbagger? I've already said I can't swing. And if I shoot a good round, I would lean towards clubbaggers. If I shoot a good round, you're a sandbagger.

SPEAKER_01

I I will not be able to even swing a club, but um, and some of the stuff, I don't know, it's just on a list, so I don't know how great it is. The 6 a.m. grinder wants breakfast balls, range time, stretching. Haley. Is this guy annoying or necessary?

SPEAKER_02

Necessary. It's Haley, though. Is that him? Oh yeah, he'll be up, he'll be making breakfast.

SPEAKER_01

Uh the vacate the vacation guy doesn't care about the scores, just vibes. Would you rather play with this guy or the grinder?

SPEAKER_02

That might be me. That's you. Might be me. I don't care less about the score. What'd you get? I'll take damage. All right. Mental note. But that's not that's not a guy you want on your team. No, nobody's gonna want me on their team. Trust me, I already know that. Like the grinder every day of the week.

SPEAKER_01

Um I don't think anyone's gonna be this, but the disappearing act vanishes after the round, shows up at dinner six hours later. Where'd you guys go? Written all over. I mean, that that's not Joe wouldn't leave. Joe would just like go to sleep. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You could miss something based on just your sleep. We might get a golf trip, Joe, though. Oh, no.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I sleep just as much. Just as little at night.

SPEAKER_01

Um the black the blackout guy starts hot, doesn't finish the round.

SPEAKER_00

Every trip needs one.

SPEAKER_01

There's a lot of joke here. Um who's gonna be this guy? Rules guy, counts every stroke, enforces penalties, respect or buzzkill.

SPEAKER_02

Of that crew, um, who would I lean towards? I don't job's not a he's not a rule guy. How's Kip? Kip a rule guy?

SPEAKER_01

No. I think I don't think we have a guy. I think we're I also don't think we have the guy, and I we probably wouldn't say it if we did have the guy, that we know is cheating. We've all played with somebody, and we're not gonna say names. This guy loves the names. But you know the guy that's like, oh, what'd you get there? Five. It's like I just saw you hit three tangles. That's what I mean. I don't mind kicking a ball over. No, no, I'm talking duly noted. Jesus Christ knowing about this guy, Steve. Throw it out of the way. You're like, no, no, definitely didn't get a five. And I'm not I'm not the rules guy, but I know you didn't get a five. But I don't think we're I don't think that, yeah. Um the in the last one, the we're playing it down guy calls everything tight. Does this ruin I don't even know what that means?

SPEAKER_00

It just means play play it as a lies. No footwear, just as you just admit it too. I don't mind kicking it a few yards.

SPEAKER_01

And I don't really care about winning either. I don't really care.

SPEAKER_02

I'm not a winning guy. Well, I just know how bad I am, so I don't have a chance.

SPEAKER_01

What are we playing with?

SPEAKER_02

You guys have like four handicaps, right?

SPEAKER_01

I mean four handicaps guys, I mean Todd, Joey suck. Joe or one and two.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah. Right? And then Job's got to be right there with you guys. Job's right there. And then Kip's gotta be pretty good. I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

I've never played with Kim either. Everyone's no I can only speak. Joe Joe's the everyone's great guy.

SPEAKER_00

Well, everyone is great. But the um Yeah, no, it's hard to know unless you have a handicap. You know, that's the thing. People start with it. But then if you have a handicap and all your scores are from 2020, then that's a waste of time too.

SPEAKER_01

That's what I gotta do this year. It's easy.

SPEAKER_00

All you do is they have the app and all you gotta do is put it after you score. Boom, I shot. No, they don't do it either. And then they do all the work.

SPEAKER_02

No, that's what the problem is.

SPEAKER_00

But it works out better no matter what.

SPEAKER_02

I mean either way, the thing is if we go in at twenty. Depends what team you're on. Yeah, yeah, exactly. Like they these guys are gonna have to shoot a perfect game to beat us. That's the thing. Because that's so far off.

SPEAKER_00

No, well that's if it's a true handicap, all that will even out. I mean, in theory, should even out. If it's a if you're a true twenty and you play a true ten, it it will even out. It should be a good match. Yeah, but I but I but if you shoot a 70 gap, though.

SPEAKER_02

No, but like a four going against a twenty, that four's gotta shoot like a like three under though.

SPEAKER_00

It all depends. Um depends if you play match or stroke or you can think kipp is. Because healy's golf.

SPEAKER_01

Haley's in the top, I'd say Haley's good too. And Jarvis are in the top four.

SPEAKER_00

It's not gonna be like in the I bet you Haley's like a 15. I mean, no, he no, he's he's a member of Hammond. He's got he's got a handicap lookup. Yeah. I forget what it is, but he played him once.

SPEAKER_02

I thought he was pretty good.

SPEAKER_00

He's really good, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, do we We said we were gonna do it in Dallas and it just turned into us uh drinking and yelling at each other about movies. Um hidden camera and do we know live maybe some some some content from the golf course.

SPEAKER_02

And we could talk about this stuff. Maybe can we do that guy like what about Bob Dex? I got it all on my phone, I guess. Oh, perfect. Because we can say, hey, remember we didn't know who this guy was at the time? Now we know who it is.

SPEAKER_01

Or we label them as the who they are. We can be like, well, it's not on this list, but we figured out that this guy is the same. Whatever it is, I don't know. The best golfer, funniest guy, guy who plays any everything, big spender. Those are other ones on those ones. The number one rule of a golf trip. I don't know.

SPEAKER_02

Don't leave a guy behind. Don't leave a guy behind. I mean my guess. Yeah. That's a good rule. Pretty good one. Oh, oh, there wasn't a good one, it's just a question.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I thought I thought you had an answer like a famous.

SPEAKER_01

Stays in the golf trip on the golf trip, yeah. Oh, no, it's a good thing. Unless you're videoing it and uh instead of trying to get content for our show.

SPEAKER_00

Fine to tell everybody. I mean, shit, what kind of you? There's nothing we're hiding. No, right, right.

SPEAKER_01

At this point. I mean, don't he's not gonna be able to do that.

SPEAKER_00

Trust me, he's not yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

He's gonna go back and tell everybody everything.

SPEAKER_00

There's nothing I high, it's just golf and the rounds instead of four and a half hours might take our time, take five or six hours. Yeah, I know.

SPEAKER_02

And then we've got to immediately get with the nice meal, the starter and just tell him back off.

SPEAKER_01

Do you think it's gonna be busy down there?

SPEAKER_02

Uh yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah? Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

You've been down there.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I don't know the seasons.

SPEAKER_02

Well, I mean, busy enough is like there's somebody there'll be somebody behind the car something. You know, you know, whereas you put up here, you might get lucky and like, oh, nobody's even driving in front of me. You know?

SPEAKER_00

Um, that's uh COVID when they spaced out instead of 10 minutes, they did 20 minutes between. It was like friggin' the best.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, yeah. Yeah, that is actually a good idea.

SPEAKER_00

But if you think about it, it cut the course's income in half. Instead of a hundred.

SPEAKER_02

Is it ten minutes a time? Or is it usually seven minutes a time?

SPEAKER_00

I feel that's a lot interpretive anyhow.

SPEAKER_01

T times the way I'm I play like you're ready, that guy just went, go. Yeah, first T.

SPEAKER_00

You can get sound effects. You can't be uh No, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

This will be this will be a tough one for you to be late, I think. Because we're gonna be late. Oh, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Well, you booked the tea times and you booked them early. Well, or well, neither. I mean, whatever early, but you know what I mean. It's not afternoon.

SPEAKER_00

It's not 1 p.m. No, yeah, yeah. Right, yeah, right. Yeah. Well, you guys probably want to go walk on the beach and how close are we to the beach, do you think?

SPEAKER_02

Um I don't think it's I don't think there's a beach. I don't know, to be honest with you. I don't know. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I've never been we never I've never been on the beach. It's called Hilton Head Island, right?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, but I don't know if they have beaches like with sand, but you can they must be a little bit more than a lot of things.

SPEAKER_01

The weather it's probably in between 70 and 75. Yeah, I think it's perfect. Yeah, yeah. It should be nice. I mean, we've told everyone about our trip. Maybe we've made so many people jealous or something. Um comment your favorite golf trip. Oh wow, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Oh yeah, good call. You've never been to Arizona though on a golf trip? No, I never been to Arizona at all. Oh, you did really?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Yep. Yeah, that's cool. Arizona would be cool. Yeah. My buddy got married in Mac. Waste management course. Is that I think that's That's Arizona, right? That you're allowed to play. Like public could somehow get on it. That would be pretty cool.

SPEAKER_01

And I did sit it wasn't Cancun, but similar. Like they had caddies, like the the course was pretty cool. Um resort. So rentals and a million rentals out there.

SPEAKER_00

But that was in uh Mexico. That was pretty cool. Uh TPC Norton or Boston. I played that. Yeah. It was cool after watching the Deutsche Bank playing it. Like That was years ago though, wasn't it? Yeah, they canceled that a while ago. Yeah. But they had the girls, the woman's played there like two years ago, I think. Yeah. I think um Yeah, I think every year or something they play, or maybe every other. Yeah. But it there's a killer they took that away. I don't know why they did.

SPEAKER_02

But yeah, that was a pretty nice course, I thought.

SPEAKER_00

Which I think if you remember there, can you go down and play?

SPEAKER_02

I think there's reciprocals like that.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, a lot of people have taken this uh golf content pretty crazy, so we could like goes out, oh, we'll do a pizza challenge.

SPEAKER_00

Who can eat fifty pizza? I'm watching it with the kids, like but Bob does sports, you mean?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Whatever.

SPEAKER_00

What about Bob is a great movie.

SPEAKER_01

It's a movie produced by Sylvia Stallone. We were watching What About Bob before we started this. It's pretty impressive, actually. What about Bob? Bob does sports. I loved What About Bob.

SPEAKER_00

Well, they're both what about Bob Does Sports. Bob Does Sports. So they're just four cool, you know, guys, buddies, I assume. Oh, they're just golfing. They just golf and they put it on the ball. They're playing like a scramble. Yeah. So I'm like, oh yeah. And they gotta either chug a beer or eat a donut every hole or some shit like that. I mean, so they're half the time they're throwing up a seventh old, but I'm like watching it with my kids. I'm like, so who are they playing? Like what? He they had just a challenge. It's just a challenge amongst themselves.

SPEAKER_01

They had LeBron on last week. Did they bring it?

SPEAKER_00

They LeBron doesn't. But most of the time, they're just playing like stuffing themselves with honey dip donuts. And some of them make it, some of them don't. And then I'm playing against anyone. His video this week was a guy's called Fat Perez. Fat Perez, yeah. He's a scratch golfer.

SPEAKER_01

He's actually at some of them are good, but no, they they're not like great golfers, they just do great golf content. Yeah, other YouTube golfers that are awesome. He was in a portion. They're making millions of millions. Bob does sports. YouTube golf, basically. There's a bunch of them.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, would they they probably started the whole pandemic, though?

SPEAKER_01

But there's a ton of and then we were talking earlier is that bar stool invitational. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Remember the day after uh the day of the um Shabot attorney that golfer came to Braintree.

SPEAKER_02

Oh yeah. Oh yeah. And I thought it was like, I'm like, what are these kids doing?

SPEAKER_00

Good golf. Good guy. And it was like a huge guy.

SPEAKER_01

That kid played in that um that bar stool invitational that they did. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

He was a college golfer though. No, they he he he was awesome. He shot like one over. These guys are like but it just they're they're good golfers. Who knew it was like a famous person coming, you know, just look like a couple of buddies with a camera following them around. I'm like, take it easy, dude. We just play the Shabo. Oh, yes. Good luck.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. So maybe you know what? I mean, that's maybe where we transition to. You know, we'll just go to golf. So it might become a golf channel.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. I feel like I feel like we're two steps behind. We gotta like jump. Well, like just two. Well, I mean, in fairness, I did bring up uh well, we won't talk about the gin con the gin? Never mind. The gin g-h-in- the golf handicap system.

SPEAKER_00

So um or or the whiskey gin type of thing.

SPEAKER_02

And now gin is like through the roof. Meaning it's like popular now. The drink gin.

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah, yeah, gin. Yeah. But you were we were gonna make it a play on worlds. Play on words, yeah. All right. Well, still my point.

SPEAKER_02

So my point being is we're behind on that, so I feel like we need content for like pickleball or something.

SPEAKER_00

Ooh.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, yeah. You know what I mean? Like everyone's already overdone the golf, so let's go well, let's go bowl.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, let's go to something that's not working, to the things that I'm gonna love watching golf. Let's go to see if they'll love bowling. We'll make bowling famous again. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

If Kingpin didn't do that, then true story.

SPEAKER_01

Great fucking movie. Wow. That could be 98, I think. That could be when we do our 90s movie.

SPEAKER_00

I I want to do the 90s movie. Dumb and dumb.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Gotta Dumb and Dumber and Kingpin would be Tommy Boy. Uh we'll get off on a tangent here. Oh, all of it.

SPEAKER_01

Um, so why don't we uh we'll wrap up our Hilton Head talk. We'll hopefully have we gotta get better at this content thing. But if we could hire somebody that doesn't want to get paid that would like to follow us around. I think we can figure it out.

SPEAKER_02

I just we don't have to do that.

SPEAKER_01

Huh? You know how to edit it? Uh no. Oh. I mean I can edit it on like Instagram. That's what I mean. Yeah, yeah. If we do short ones, yeah, we'll do short ones. Um Alright, so let's go to our award-winning segment. Loving. Should we do our scratchies? Oh, we have scratchies.

SPEAKER_00

You guys can do them. No, no, no. You do them. It's yours. This is what I'm loving.

SPEAKER_02

I got a list of stuff. I'm like, I'm unprepared for this though.

SPEAKER_01

I have two things I'm loving, and it's tough for me to pick one of them. I mean either one.

SPEAKER_02

Well, you start with loving or are you gonna start with hating?

SPEAKER_01

What do we usually start with?

SPEAKER_02

Usually hating, remember we always end positive.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, that's right. We're a big positive people.

SPEAKER_00

Why are we doing hating anyhow?

SPEAKER_01

I mean, just maybe we should just be wicked positive and not be Do you have one that you can do? I gotta list the pause hating.

SPEAKER_02

But if you want to go to the loving, sure. Okay. Well, I mean, I can I can like all over the place with my I mean, I'm kind of not I don't know. Oh, you know what? I know I'm all constantly all over the place. But um I could stick with the theme of uh golf hit golfing. Um maybe we'll get into the other thing too. Um you know what fucking drives me crazy is these people when you're boarding a plane. These guys that jump in line, right? When they know, like, all right, section one. Guilty. What are you talking about? Section one, a first class, here they come, right? Veterans and the elderly. With that, I'm fine with, right? Go ahead. But then you're not gonna be.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I thought you meant people trying to skip, like if I try to walk in as an elderly. Well, that's annoying, too. Yeah. Well, if they if I'm section nine, they call section once they get uh past one, I'm taking a chance. This is what you're talking about. Exactly. Oh, all right.

SPEAKER_02

You're not even taking the chance. It's the guy that's standing in the way of the guy that is section one, and he's like, excuse me. I'll move right along. And it's like, get the fuck out of the way. I don't know. I don't hold up traffic. I don't hold up traffic. Red tickets are coming in.

SPEAKER_01

Get out of the way. Well, it's the guy that when the plane lands and he stands up. Oh, yeah, yeah. And then he's like trying, and then he tries to beat people like what are we just following.

SPEAKER_02

I'd much rather that guy say, like, hey, listen, my wife's pregnant, like, I gotta get home. Once in a while, they'll say, Oh, there's a lot of things. Right away, let everyone know. Let him know. Not the dance of like, you know, hey, am I getting up?

SPEAKER_01

You're gonna be able to do it. Trying to knock you like is a fire. Yeah, yeah. And you're not gonna help like the lady that's across from you. No way, they're not either looking at the plate. Yeah. I'll tell you, like flying on a plane, there's so many things that you can complain about. I know. There's so many.

SPEAKER_02

But it starts with boarding the plane, because people that think they can just jump on one of them.

SPEAKER_00

You jumped on five hours early by upgrading. That was a brilliant move all the way to Dallas.

SPEAKER_02

But I did wait for my they said section five. Oh, I know, yeah. Right this way, sir. We did it the right way. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

With honor. With honor, please. Yeah, boarding the plane. But then if they stop me, I just go back and get in line. Try it when it gets to four or five.

SPEAKER_02

Well, you'd probably break out the sign leg, which is like I could if they needed it.

SPEAKER_00

I would definitely sign. Um actually not anymore.

SPEAKER_02

Which DTF St. Louis brings back, the sign leg.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I turned it on and I turned it on and I didn't I went to it and it was at night, and I was like, I need I can't.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, now anyone who likes a binge can watch them all because it's done. Yeah, I watched them. I've watched them all. Oh, have you you've watched them all?

SPEAKER_02

I just f I didn't the other night. Yeah. Oh, it's wild.

SPEAKER_00

It is fucking wild when you think about it. I don't want to give it. It is just so fucking crazy. DTF St. Louis. I I gotta watch it. It just doesn't make any sense. It doesn't make sense.

SPEAKER_01

It makes no sense. We get to DTF St. Louis from boarding a plane.

SPEAKER_02

But yeah, when when you when you I think you finished the conversation, I go, there's no way this is easy, too. Now I'm like, what are you doing with this? I have to watch that. Jesus Christ. Even Kendrick said how to pull the sheets up. And I was like, is it over? Seriously? Yeah, I was getting it. But it was it was in the middle of weird, and I'm like, all right, something else kind of happened.

SPEAKER_00

Totally misunderstood it. Poor kid. Yeah. St. Louis. So the guy what else would what else would he think was going on?

SPEAKER_01

What are you hating Joe?

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah. Scratch tickets. Another loser. As you know, I was a last minute ad to the um show this eve. I didn't think I was gonna be here, so I didn't get a chance to prepare.

SPEAKER_02

Minus the other seven episodes that were.

SPEAKER_00

But these scratch tickets are getting worse and worse. There was a million dollar winner in Braintree when uh we were away. Million bucks. Stop and shop, no less. Imagine. Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And a scratch ticket at Stop and Shop.

SPEAKER_00

It must be. They don't sell them. No, they do sell them at the end.

SPEAKER_01

Maybe the vending machine they don't anymore.

SPEAKER_00

They definitely don't behind the counter because that would cost me a fortune.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

No, no, no, not on Checo.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, okay. I was gonna say, dude, that would be if they could do that.

SPEAKER_02

There's a vending machine at Stop and Shop, though. Branchy, I don't think there is. I can't think of where it would be. Yeah. I think it's like customers.

SPEAKER_01

They definitely had them in customer service before, but I thought maybe when they brought the vending machine, you used that one.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, if it's alpha vending machine, it's like that's great, but you should never expect that.

SPEAKER_02

And who would you wouldn't even know, right? How would you know? Well, unless you're on the app.

SPEAKER_00

You guys got me on that time.

SPEAKER_02

Oh yeah, the app still still I didn't I didn't I don't think I downloaded. That was why that one the other night I assume was a loser, right? Yeah, well said it says the app. Scan it.

SPEAKER_00

But you can give it as a gift. Cut off that bottom button. There'll be no reason for it to scan it.

SPEAKER_01

And the thing was ripped at the bottom, and the guy wouldn't take it. Yeah. Because it couldn't scan. So you have to mail that in. You have to go to the uh I didn't know. He didn't tell me. He didn't tell me how to mail it in. I think it's right on the back.

SPEAKER_00

Even if it's expired or whatever, you can bring it to the lottery or mail it. You'll probably do that too, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

That's what I think. You know what? I mean, as much as I want 50 bucks, I don't think it's sometimes they don't bring it to the store.

SPEAKER_00

Never mind, I'm gonna drive it to the lottery's right at um to the old the their rink now. That's where the mass lottery is headquarters up.

SPEAKER_02

I thought it moved to Dorchester.

SPEAKER_00

No, I think it moved. It was in near like Curtis Liquors and all that. Yeah, it was, yeah. That's where the RV went up there. Yeah, I think now it's right up in uh whatever that office park is.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Which flatly donated to the town, by the way. They did? I mean donating just no flatly donating it to the yeah, to the town. I don't think to Theron somehow. I'm sure it's just another non-producing. Like reading it. I'm like, what?

SPEAKER_01

Um I'm hating um food shopping. Oh stop and shop.

SPEAKER_02

Well, wait, take a step. So when you go when you know you're gonna go food shopping, how do you how do you approach it? Do you make the list? Nope, I don't have a list. Oh, that's why you hate it. Yep. I don't make a list.

SPEAKER_01

Who makes a list? I will go so much easier. Obviously. Most times I will go after nine, ten o'clock at night. That's a great time to go. It's a great time to go. I'll put my headphones in, I'll walk around. I was gonna ask you on the headphones. But no, with no with no list, I end up just buying stupid shit. Trisca cheese. Cheese cheese. Extra toasted cheese. Cocoa pebbles. And then the next thing you know, it's like a week later. Pop that. I've gone to whole milk because I've heard it's a little bit more healthier than the blue. It is. Um so I don't know. I just at this point, you're gonna tell me it's healthy, I'm gonna try it, and I'm gonna hate it. But I tried doing overnight oats. I tried to. Those are good actually. You don't like them? No, no. I I screwed up my first batch that I made. It wasn't I put too much milk in, it was too soggy the next moment. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. But I'm trying, I'm figuring it. They fill you for days, though. So what are you getting? Healthy something? Uh well, I'm just scared I'm gonna have a heart attack tomorrow and die. So I think that's that's motivating.

SPEAKER_02

I'm scared of that too. You could be like the aura guy. I see it's back. Still failing.

SPEAKER_00

Must have had a doctor's appointment today. I never would have got into college.

SPEAKER_01

The um yeah, the uh the grocery day because I get I get too much. Well, then I'm thinking about the healthy stuff, so then I start buying more fruit. Yeah. And then I look in my fridge four weeks later, and there's still like three apples that I never bought. I'm like, what the fuck am I doing? Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I I just gotta have a better process. Plus more and more, you don't know what they go to the grocery store, half the stuff. They say it's like poison. Oh, and the cost and the cost. I mean, I agree with you.

SPEAKER_02

I hate the fucking grocery store.

SPEAKER_01

And you know, and honestly, like living alone, like when you're trying to like have any sense of food, it's like if I'm gonna make this anything I make if the kids aren't there, I'm not it's just it's terrible.

SPEAKER_02

Like a like, see your case, you could go like three or four times a week. I could. Right?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, just to kind of usually then I stop and then just starve myself or not eat anything. I'm like, oh man, I have nothing to drink. Yeah. So hungry. Meaning mac and cheese again for the seventh time. All of fruity pebbles. I've been trying, see, because what I would do all the time, I'd come back from I'd have hockey or something. Next thing you know, I'm coming in at eight, nine o'clock at night. You're not gonna make anything. And I'm having a bagel and yeah, and cocoa pebbles. Yeah, right. Like every night. I'm like, I gotta stop doing this. This is this is ridiculous.

SPEAKER_02

Actually, you should look up a recipe and then make it. Yeah. Right. And then you'll go and get the stuff you need.

SPEAKER_00

I thought you would say look up the food pyramid and find out what a scam that was. Have you seen that? It goes way back to the um the who's the Titans? Uh Rockefellers? I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

Oh no, it's that those it's those families. Yeah, Rockefellers.

SPEAKER_00

Uh what was the other one?

SPEAKER_01

But no, they all basically flipped it upside down. But hey, put on ALS right.

SPEAKER_02

Did you listen to that Rogan with RFK? Yeah. Yeah, I listen to R. It's very interesting. Yeah, it is, it's very interesting. But the thing with him with RFK It's a tough listen. Well, one is voice, it just drives you crazy. Um I don't I don't this is gonna come through on air.

SPEAKER_00

But we do have a winner. Like a turntable. We do have a winner. Uh damn it. It's only 20.

SPEAKER_02

I think he's a little kook, but is he right on point. The point he's trying to make is what makes sense. Yeah. Oh, he's definitely just get healthy. But the side, because they asked him some questions and he was like 20 bucks. Oh, nice. He's like, I don't know. Yeah. And it's like, well, well, you're the director of health, like maybe True.

SPEAKER_01

But it seems like the stuff that he does know about the getting healthy part, comparing us to other countries, like why are we why are we spending the most money? Why do we it just doesn't make any sense? It's a lot of this stuff just doesn't make any sense that people are starting to now really pay attention to, which is a good thing, but yeah, not a political podcast. Nope. Um all right, what we're what are we loving? You got one, you got one ready to go. I have two. Yeah. I'm gonna say two. All right, go for it. First is playoff hockey and playoff basketball. I I don't I'm not gonna really pay attention to playoff basketball, yeah. But playoff hockey has just been game. All last night, we could do all episodes. The Peruins game, the Colorado game. I'm watching the Colorado Kings game. The Colorado guy makes an unbelievable save. They start banging the glass behind the King's bench and the glass shatters everywhere. Oh, no kidding. But that was a one-nothing. It's just been great. The Tampa Bay Um Canadians series has been it's just been great. All these games have just been awesome. Um, so that's my quick one. The other one is trash TV, meaning like your jer like I'm a c I love the Jersey Shore. Yeah. So right now, online, it's not on TV, but online, Barstool again. I love Barstool. I just follow it, I think it's hilarious. I think Portnoy. Uh so Portnoy put together a with a bunch of the young people that work at Barstool a spring break in Vegas. He put them up in Vegas for an entire week. Jesus. And they are cons they are constantly filmed 24 hours a day. Okay. They have content people coming in and out because they're doing 24 hour shifts because they just have cameras on these people the entire time.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, all right. So he's remaking the show of uh The Real World or whatever.

SPEAKER_01

Like Real World, but it's live. Or Girls Run Wild, basically. He's putting it on Instagram and he's putting it on TikTok. I don't have TikTok, but it's Instagram and Twitter. So if you go on Twitter, it's every like five minutes there's a new clip. They're just following these guys consistently around. And then in the morning, so it's at in Vegas, in the morning at 9:30 their time. Yeah. So they're they're clipping till like six, seven, eight o'clock in the morning. They're still like partying. And at 9 a.m., they come in and they have to sit sit together, and they have a guy in New York interview them about their night. Oh my god. Uh and they have one guy, a one four uh 40-year-old guy that's on the show. He's single, he's been part of Barstool forever since like the beginning. Yeah. And it's just kind of funny to like watch him and try and he's like hilarious.

SPEAKER_02

How do you watch that show? You have to be on Instagram to watch it?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, but that's which guy's the one the 40. Oh, he's one of like the bloggers originally. He's one of those guys, yeah. He's like a DJ.

SPEAKER_01

He was part of like when the remember when Barstool did those um um those dances, the uh not the dances, those um I forget what it was.

SPEAKER_00

They used to be a lot of started off as like parties. Oh, yeah, yeah. Yeah, the parties.

SPEAKER_01

And they got in trouble for that or had it. They were doing stuff like that, and he was one of the original guys. He's from Boston. But yeah, so I'll like scroll on Twitter and see it and start just following watching the clips, and it's hilarious. Last night they had a suite at the Knights game, the Vegas Knights game. Oh no, yeah. And they walk in, yeah. They walk in, they had jerseys with their names on it. They're staying in a Palms uh the Palms hotel room that they have is the size of like this block. It's insane. They have a huge basketball court in it. It's like insane.

SPEAKER_00

But are they employees of Barstool? Employees of Barstool. Oh, so it's even better because then as famous as they get, they're always attached to Barstools. The winner's the first one.

SPEAKER_01

If they were just random people, they have the guy from Barstool interviewing them, and they're like, All right, guys, uh, this is the first night. They've done one night in Vegas. Now they're doing their recap show, they're all hung over. And uh they're like, All right, well, uh breaking news, guys. Port Noy uh just texted Chris, you're out. Go home.

SPEAKER_03

Wow, yeah, yeah. Wow.

SPEAKER_01

He's like, You're not being entertaining enough. Gone. He's oh my god. The next day, somebody else comes in, some random person. Some girl's talking about how she has um she has like a situation at home, but she's single, but she's kind of not. He looks up with one of the one of the the guys on the on the show, like, and what do they do? They find the guy the next day and they bring him in. They stand at the door and everyone's like, Who's gonna be like? Oh, hey, um I'm friends with her and my wife. Oh my god. Yeah, I don't know. It's just yeah, and then he's posting videos of himself sitting on his beach in Florida or wherever he is in the keys, and he's just going, and he's like, I'm the puppet, I'm the puppet master, I'm the puppet master. Look at me, look what I'm doing here. Look, entertaining, entertaining. It's just I don't know. It's so stupid. I shouldn't be paying attention to it, and I can't wait to probably a million people doing it. Oh, I can't wait to get home and do it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's definitely like gonna be another quarter quarter million, probably. And all it is is views. He's looking for views. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So this person said this person's boring. Go ahead, leave. You're done. Brings in something that's gonna cause drama. What does he have 10 million views on some?

SPEAKER_02

But then how I wonder how he makes money on it, though. That's the thing. Advertising, right? Yeah, yeah. Like, how's that work?

SPEAKER_00

He started off like giving away. Like that's all advertising, right? Papers. Yeah. The more the more views you get advertising. Pink Whitney, Pink Whitney, spit and chicklets. Like that's all. Yeah, that's all from him, right? Yeah. I don't know how the it works out. Well, those guys have different deals, I guess.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah. But like the spit and chiclets are so big that it's more of like uh it's a good thing. Or not controlled, but he probably gets paid from it anyway. But I don't know. It's just fascinating. I mean what they don't have is like that older guy podcast. I think someone that older guy podcast. We're waiting but Google to pick us up. But now, granted, Portnoy's like our age, um or my age. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So he's done plenty of stuff. Start off at Milton. Is he a Milton guy? Yeah. No, no, he's from Swamp Scott, but his first option was Milton. Oh, it was very much. It was like a real dive. Not that the Zane dives at Milton.

SPEAKER_02

Did he do a pizza place in Milton? Is that his first pizza?

SPEAKER_00

No. No, dude, the pizza thing was just another million dollar idea that started off as a joke, basically. I mean, or not a joke, I shouldn't have. I don't know how much because he's got that app, one byte. Which is interesting, right?

SPEAKER_02

Because now he's got this stuff, and like, do you have a go by it? Like, yeah, like oh he gave this a shitty rating.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, a lot I've seen people following those. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But people, if you give it a good, I mean, if he did the follow-house. Yeah, he gave it a wicked eye. He gave it a high score. They even they heard he went there the next day. It's packed. Yeah. They did double the pizza that they wanted to do. Oh, they did really? Oh, wow.

SPEAKER_00

And then once they did it.

SPEAKER_02

Every pizza box line was out the door. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Has a score on it.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. They're like a 9.4, I think they got.

SPEAKER_00

So they got very high. Very high. Yeah. I'm just kind of shocked. That was one of his early. I don't know if you saw the clip. He went in, full Bruins Gare. It was like playoff team. That's right. And they gave it to him for free.

SPEAKER_01

He was at the uh Hancock.

SPEAKER_00

He did all of it. Yeah. I think I heard that too. Or whatever it was.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so that's my the trash TV stuff. Like I love the Jersey Shore. And I like that stupid stuff. I don't know why. I just I think it's fascinating. It's like the re I always love the Real World when it was on Roll Rules. I don't pay attention to it. I don't know. Yeah, that's cool. I know. That's when it was all new, too, when it was kind of like Well, Real World was probably the first reality show ever, I would think, right?

SPEAKER_02

It's gotta be. Survivor. Survivor. Yeah, I think Real World. Survivor's the other one, right? I don't know. That's probably neck and neck.

SPEAKER_00

You ever see that Chappelle sketch on The Real World? Oh, fucking hilarious. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Whereas the dude said. You can't repeat what Chappelle does on the show, you just have to watch it. Because if you repeat it, you're the most racist person of all time. Yeah, it's not as funny sometimes. It's like Yeah, obviously. Oh, wait, I can't.

SPEAKER_01

I don't have Chappelle's delivery.

SPEAKER_00

I don't even know if Chappelle was even in those. That particular, the real world went. So man.

SPEAKER_01

Let's see. Real world release date, 1992.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, wow.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

1992, and that was New York. So then go to Survivor. Survivor. When was Boston? Survivor's gotta be out. Survivor's I think 25 years old. Yeah. Survivor's after that.

SPEAKER_00

Real World was like when MTV started becoming no longer about MTV.

SPEAKER_02

MTV's supposedly gone, right?

SPEAKER_00

I guess, yeah. I mean it are. Station's gone? That's right. It's still there right now, but it's about yeah, it's gonna shut down.

SPEAKER_01

Well it's gonna turn. I mean, figures it'll be something. Yeah, Survivor was um let's see. Because it's in its 50th season, but it's not 50 years. They do two, I think they do two a year. Oh, yeah, yeah. Oh, that's why. Yeah, premiered in 2000. 2000.

SPEAKER_02

S one E3. Ah, yeah, exactly.

SPEAKER_01

May 31st, 2000. 50th season. 2000. Yeah. Oh, Survivor was 2000? Yeah. Yep. So yeah, so it's 26 years. I mean 20 years.

SPEAKER_00

That guy, the original winner, um, Richard something. Like then they got a million bucks. He ended up he went to jail.

SPEAKER_01

But then I think he was on that, you know, Dancing with the Stars and stuff after that. Oh, and they had to come back. I think it would come back.

SPEAKER_02

Survivor again, they brought him back.

SPEAKER_01

Well, that this year, this I've actually been watching this, kind of paying attention to Survivor this year. I'm not usually a big Survivor guy, but um it's the 50th, and they have all these different guys from they brought everyone or other people back from other seasons. And they have Survivor series? From yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, Survivor Series, oh, WrestleMania. Yeah, Ultimate Warrior. Yeah, WrestleMania was this weekend.

SPEAKER_00

We get off top. I know.

SPEAKER_02

All right, what do you got? Um I know. I got a list of stuff. I guess my one of my favorite things that I'm loving, a good a good Irish goodbye. Right? I mean better. If we're gonna, you know, I gotta I got a list of things here, but I'll stick with some uh stuff been good for St. Patty's Day. Yeah, well yeah, it would have been good for the I know. I don't think we do love it in Hayden on St. Paddy's Day, though. We must have. It's a war in Hayden, yeah. So we definitely would have done it. Um so we may see some witness to uh uh witness to some Irish goodbyes in a week from now. Oh, you think?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, maybe want me to uh oh yeah. Oh to me and I'll be gone.

SPEAKER_03

Perfect.

SPEAKER_00

So um yeah. Yeah. Next week. No, no Irish goodbyes. We're all gonna be together. Irish goodbye next week.

SPEAKER_01

That's like no Irish goodbyes. I'm gonna get a t-shirt, no Irish goodbye. Believe me. So I'll Irish goodbye out of any situation.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I figured you could do some stories about it, but I don't know. Yeah, that kind of just happened in the moment. But it's a good, it's a good, it's definitely a good move.

SPEAKER_00

So, Joe, did you do Loving It? Um, I think we just did a playoff hockey, I think. Yeah, but I was gonna but actually with the show's quirky kind of show, and he's got like a couple movies and stuff. Uh the Tim Robinson, I think it's called I think You Should Leave. It was like two s ep two seasons, I think. Different kind of humor, but hilarious. And then he had like a movie Friendship. It was hilarious, he was the same weird kind of guy. And then Detroit's is kind of funny.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, this guy, yeah, Tim Robinson. He's like he does not. Not Tim Robbins. Whatever. Yeah, no, no, that's what I'm talking about. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's what I thought you meant. Oh no. Tim Robinson, this guy. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, he's kind of a quirky guy.

SPEAKER_00

It's a weird type of human, but yeah. Pretty funny. It's just like almost like a talk. Did you see that guy?

SPEAKER_01

No. It's like a net I think I've seen his Netflix special. Yeah, exactly. You'd see like closer. He has a stand-up. He's just kind of quirky. What is it? I don't even understand what it's like.

SPEAKER_02

I like to laugh. You know, he has in a bunch of. Oh, you love the guy? Is that what you're doing?

SPEAKER_00

I'm not saying I love the guy. His style of you're totally yeah, chair company is so weird and funny.

SPEAKER_01

Was he on Saturday Live or did he host that?

SPEAKER_00

He probably was a writer. I don't know. I haven't looked that much into the guy.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, if he's your boyfriend, I've heard anybody knowing.

SPEAKER_00

Friendship. Detroiters.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, fr the friendship movie, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

The friendship was actually hilarious. Paul Rudd was in that. Part of it, yeah. He played, yeah. And then what was the other one? Oh, friendship was funny. But they're all these are the same weird categories. No. The Friendship is a movie. Full-on movie with Paul Rudd. Yeah. Um the other one, what was the other one we just mentioned? Three seconds ago. Speaking of Al Simus. Uh Chair Company.

SPEAKER_02

I thought he said Val. Al Simus.

SPEAKER_00

Uh that one then. But I think you should leave now. I think the funniest in uh And that's a movie or a TV TV. That's just a show. But it every show is you could watch one. It's all yeah, that's a matter. Jump in anywhere.

SPEAKER_01

Jump in one as we want. All right. Well, we got some stuff we can watch. Yeah, we won twenty bucks. Joe won twenty bucks. Wait, we all did. We're uh we'll use that. We'll use that in Hilton Head next weekend. And again, when this comes out, we'll have already gone to Hilton. But we'll have some maybe we'll have some prep some videos content before that will get us ready for this episode. So we can say, hey, episode seven's coming out. We've taught we're talking about this, our golf content. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. And I we've kind of name dropped a lot of people this episode, so we'll probably get picked up. It'll probably be happening pretty soon. Yeah, could get some listeners. Maybe maybe some of the maybe it's a good thing. I think next year our golf trip will be paid by I don't know, whoever wants to jump on. What's it say?

SPEAKER_02

Pin pin or something? Pin golf.

SPEAKER_01

Pin golf. Pin golf. Barstool. I'm probably barstool. Yeah, they might pick us up. We might get absorbed by barstool. Which way can we expand? That way? Beyond the wall? Yeah, I uh we can go we can just stay here.

SPEAKER_00

It's just gonna be they might just get rid of us and keep the name. That's true. That's how it does. Got us a check. Yeah, we gotta get the website probably though.

SPEAKER_01

We gotta get that before. All right, we gotta go.

SPEAKER_02

Get the website going.

SPEAKER_01

That's it.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

All right, until uh next episode. So that's season one, episode seven. Good night, everybody. Goodbye.
