Dr. Jaime Hooper has worked in public education in rural Western North Carolina for 24 years. Over the course of her career, she has served as a teacher, assistant principal, Federal Programs Director, Pre-K Director, principal, Director of Testing & Accountability, Director of Alternative Education, and grant writer. Her dissertation focused on improving the educational experiences of students living in poverty and was nationally published in Impacting Education: Journal on Transforming Professional Practice. She is also a member of the North Carolina Delta Kappa Gamma (NC DKG) Alpha Iota Chapter.
