Here is another episode from A Simple Discussion Podcast that I wanted to upload to this podcast. I have created some episodes that could be on either podcasts at the end of the day really. I enjoy having two podcasts that can be versatile on either one. It was a great episode to put together when I was working on it.

SPEAKER_02

Hello and welcome back to a simple discussion. My name is Hannah Covington, and today I'm so glad to be back with Ryan Stilwell. I know it's been so long since last time we talked.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it's been since it's been a few weeks. Cool to be back on with you.

SPEAKER_02

I know. It's we have a lot of exciting things coming up. I hope the weather will be permitting and I get to go.

SPEAKER_00

I've been seeing a lot of stuff on social media about snow days. People are getting pretty creative with their snow days.

SPEAKER_02

I know. Because I've actually just been using it as a time to do a lot of work, is what I've been doing.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I like seeing some people post that so it's mostly ice, right? It's like snow, then ice, and then snow here. So they're they can't even make snow angels, so they're saying they're making ice angels.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and I'm seeing a new trend also of people daring other people to go out in the snow and doing snow angels.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, in shorts, right?

SPEAKER_02

Shorts or pants, but you can't have a coat on.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's true. I've wanted to do that, but I don't know how well I would do.

SPEAKER_02

I am the same way. I was afraid one of my co-workers was gonna dare me to do it. And she did not dare any of the staff at all, and I was like, thank Lord Jesus.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, nobody has dared has dared me yet, thank goodness.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, so how did you survive?

SPEAKER_00

Watching TV mostly, and playing cards with my mom.

SPEAKER_02

I saw where you watched Oh Brother Where Art Thou.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I I watched the funny ones mostly. I didn't I didn't want to watch dramatic movies that much.

SPEAKER_02

I've seen Oh yeah, I I have. I consider it a southern classic.

SPEAKER_00

I do too. I mean, it's probably the best bluegrass album out there, maybe soundtrack.

SPEAKER_02

I am 100% gonna agree there.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I mean, I just love the music. It makes me think of the South, you know, in Kentucky and Tennessee. So I really love that album.

SPEAKER_02

I I do too. And my favorite song off the album is Man of Constant Sorrow.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's like the best scene of the movie too, when they dance towards the end.

SPEAKER_02

Oh yes.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's like the best scene of the movie.

SPEAKER_02

I'm gonna 100% agree. And the siren scene.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's pretty good too. I mean, I love when they bring up R U N N O F T.

SPEAKER_02

Oh. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

How they spell Runoff.

SPEAKER_02

Oh yeah. Um, but it sounds like you just been watching a ton of stuff.

SPEAKER_00

We watched a pretty funny movie. It's new. It has Kevin James. Have you heard of him?

SPEAKER_02

Yes, I have.

SPEAKER_00

And a guy, he's mostly an action actor. His name is Alan Richson. Have you heard of Reacher? Um No. Well, he's in Reacher, and him and Kevin James are in the movie, and it's so hilarious.

SPEAKER_02

That sounds good.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it's a action comedy.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

I love when they mix action and comedy together.

SPEAKER_02

I I would actually agree to that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Did y'all get more snow or ice?

SPEAKER_00

I think we got more snow. Last night, I think we got more snow, but that's pretty much it.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. I would say we probably got more snow than ice, but I heard in Bowling Green it sounded like they got more ice.

SPEAKER_00

Western was off all this week.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, they haven't done that since 2024.

SPEAKER_00

And I remember they had a I mean the whole state of Kentucky had a big one in 2016. I don't know if you remember that. It was like 12 to 13 inches if I remember.

SPEAKER_02

I I was still in high school, and I don't know how I don't remember that.

SPEAKER_00

I was in middle school and I was about to miss the rest of the school year because I was having ankle surgery.

SPEAKER_02

Oh. Yeah, I don't remember that at all. I don't know why. I think that was probably during the year I tuned out a lot of stuff.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Because of family situation stuff that happened that year.

SPEAKER_00

Oh.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I just don't feel like talking about it.

SPEAKER_00

Nah, you don't have to.

SPEAKER_02

Thank you. I just remember the big one in 2024.

SPEAKER_01

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_02

Because I had to keep asking Kelly, my cap advisor, like almost every single day. Because she would check in on me in 2024 of are the w roads any good? Because I was worried of driving on not great roads. But I just remember oh sorry. But the roads were pretty good uh the day I started my internship. That's good.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's good. I was just gonna say it was fun when I was little because my Korean parents live in the woods. That's why I tell everybody. They live in the woods, and whenever we had snow days there, it was pretty fun because we were stuck there, but we would still go sled riding and stuff because there was hills over the place. So it would just be fun to ride to go sled riding down a steep hill.

SPEAKER_02

That sounds like a lot of fun.

SPEAKER_00

It's not just my grandparents that lived back there. It was like my cousins and my uncle and aunt. We would all get together and ride sleds.

SPEAKER_02

I like sledding when I was younger, but as I've gotten older, I'm not a fan.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know if I could handle it now that I'm older.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I'm the same way. Did you try I don't know. I'll have to try it, but Yeah, because you have a little brother and he's probably of age he probably wants to do it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I mean he don't know yet, but he didn't like the snow yesterday. We took him out yesterday. Aww. He has really bad sensory issues. He don't like having the big coat on or gloves or any of that kind of stuff.

SPEAKER_02

And that's very common on the spectrum.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. And he don't like wearing a toboggan.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

So very big spectrum stuff.

SPEAKER_02

I mainly have been staying in to a degree. I've gone out once, and that's about it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, the first time my mom, brother, and I went out was yesterday. So and it was hard getting out. It was fun.

SPEAKER_02

Uh I got out a hint before the storm hit. I had a game a day before the storm hit, and we we did the game until our Shelbyville station went off air during the third quarter of the game. That that was not pretty.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I feel bad. I won't be able to get my s get to see my dad again this weekend. I mean, we're meeting him tomorrow for lunch, but that's pretty much it.

SPEAKER_02

Aw. Yeah, I've been practically staying in working on stuff, reading, practically read a whole book.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. It's been hard, like, keeping up with groceries and stuff because we keep running out of stuff. We have to keep ordering more groceries.

SPEAKER_02

I've been working, we did a game night on Discord with with a bunch of us alumni, and that was a ton of fun. I was sad you weren't there, you would have liked the games we were playing.

SPEAKER_00

What games did you all play?

SPEAKER_02

Uh there was a game called Bad Cards, kinda like What Do You Meme, which was really fun. You would have liked it.

SPEAKER_00

I know I would have. What do you mean's my jam?

SPEAKER_02

I know. And I was like, dang, I wish Ryan was here.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Because everybody was like, this is a small crowd, and we just played until about close to ten o'clock at night.

SPEAKER_00

Wow.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. So and uh and I've started watching, of course, Richerton. I'm taking my Stranger Things break.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Some people need a mental break from Stranger Things.

SPEAKER_02

And so I'm in the middle of watching that. I don't like that Netflix is starting to split up the good shows.

SPEAKER_00

True. I don't like shows ending early though, like five seasons in. It would be cool if they would make ten seasons again, like a regular sitcom or something like that.

SPEAKER_02

So we had a little bit of an issue with the internet agreeing because of the cold weather outside. Yeah, so we are back, and we were talking about seasons ending early, and we do not agree with it.

SPEAKER_00

No, we don't. But I tell you what we can agree on though.

SPEAKER_02

What?

SPEAKER_00

In that social media. See how I did that there?

SPEAKER_02

Oh, it's such a good turning point, which is today's episode.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And this was one of those topics the newbies were wanting to do, and I was like, well, Ryan and I could talk about this separately.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. It's a pretty interesting topic, especially people who are on the spectrum see how they're represented in different types of social media.

SPEAKER_02

I 100% agree because I have been on a social media break myself from Instagram, which was the best decision I have made.

SPEAKER_00

I still haven't I still haven't done a social media break. I'm trying to pick the best time.

SPEAKER_02

Honestly, w you will decide on your own. But I have been off of Instagram as of right now three weeks, as of yesterday.

SPEAKER_00

How has that been?

SPEAKER_02

Honestly, very relieving. It's been a good mindset.

SPEAKER_00

Because you were on Instagram more than Facebook, right?

SPEAKER_02

Yes, I was. And since being on that break, I swear I spent more time on Facebook, which I'm not mad at, but it's made me explore Facebook a lot more since taking a break from Instagram.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, for me, when I go on Facebook, I mostly do like debates over songs and stuff. I don't because I'm a music buff, so I don't really do much of the drama type of stuff, if that makes any sense.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and I'm about the same way. Like I don't like put debates about anything. Like the only things I might post about is uh this podcast.

SPEAKER_00

But music's pretty interesting though, because I like seeing other people's opinions. I mean I do like the other songs that uh debate over, but I just pick this one song and that's it. And I see if anybody else answers which song they like better.

SPEAKER_02

And have you gotten any interesting answers? Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I mean it's hard right now. I mean, I have to actually go on Facebook and see an example. I'm sorry.

SPEAKER_02

You're totally fine. Um And most of them are rock songs.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. As you know, I'm a big rock guy. I get that from my dad.

SPEAKER_02

And some of them some of the songs you picked, I'm like, hmm, interesting choices.

SPEAKER_00

If you have never heard those songs, you should listen to them.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I am slowly trying to expand my level of music.

SPEAKER_00

That's what my cousin's doing. He's expanding his range, and I've been like that for a long time now. I just like listen to everything, and if I like a song, I like it. I don't care what genre it is.

SPEAKER_02

And this is something I wrote down is which platform do you feel shows autism in a positive light?

SPEAKER_00

It's hard because there are some platforms that it shows a positive and negative light, and I feel like the biggest one right now is TikTok. I've been I'm seeing a lot of reels about parents taking care of their child that is on the spectrum, and it's pretty positive to me.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, and I'm not a big TikTok user, so this surprises me.

SPEAKER_00

I mean my mom mostly watches those.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. I was gonna honestly say I'm like you. There's a positive and a negative light. Yeah, I I felt like it was Instagram for me before I took my break because I follow a lot of positive accounts. I follow fathering autism and his wife and their son who's not on the spectrum, and they post a lot of positivity. I follow a few people from Love on the Spectrum.

SPEAKER_00

I was gonna ask that.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I follow them because a lot of them I want to see behind the scenes of what is going on like when the show is not being shot.

SPEAKER_00

True. And there's a couple of people from Love on the Spectrum that are open to doing podcasts because I've seen that.

SPEAKER_02

Oh yeah. Um I know there are two moms who appear on the show that actually run a podcast.

SPEAKER_00

I've watched that because it shows one episode in their perspective, and in their son's perspective, then their brother's perspective, their sister's perspective, then their father's perspective.

SPEAKER_02

Y Yes, I know which podcast you're talking about because I have listened to that podcast.

SPEAKER_00

They would be cool to have on.

SPEAKER_02

And I've thought about emailing them a year ago, and I kept forgetting to. You're talking about Talk to Me Sis, aren't you?

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_02

That is the best I mean podcast.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I love that they brought other family members from the show on their podcast. I love that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, they're pretty cool people.

SPEAKER_02

I actually like the episode where they had James's dad on. That was straight up hilarious. Because if you don't know anything about James's dad, is he is a interesting spirit.

SPEAKER_00

Going to the negative light, I feel like it's mostly seeing news stories, you know? Like about I'm gonna get sensitive here, but it's mostly like tragic deaths and about cops around people with autism. I've been seeing a lot of that. People on the spectrum drowning and stuff. I mean, that stuff gets to me.

SPEAKER_02

And you know what's funniest I talked to some fire EMS people back in August and and a lot they get a lot of autism calls where a kid has went in the water and went away from home.

SPEAKER_00

I mean that scares me with Reed because he's nonverbal, you know, he can't talk to people and he can't tell them their name or who the who their parent who his parents are. That's what scares me.

SPEAKER_02

Have you thought about getting him a medical bracelet?

SPEAKER_00

So here's my thing. I never wanted to put my brother on a leash or anything. I was weird. It's just like treating treating the kids like a pet.

SPEAKER_02

See, I you know I have a medical bracelet and I wear it m religiously because of my epilepsy. Which I have openly talked about on this podcast.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you have.

SPEAKER_02

If you've not listened to my favorite DJ episode one or two, we talked about my epilepsy.

SPEAKER_00

With Andy, right?

SPEAKER_02

With Andy, and guess what? Uh in February, we're gonna be back together again, so that's gonna be I know I'm with my favorite human again, other than you.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I talked to Tony Rose about that, and he was like, Who's her favorite DJ? And he was like, Oh yeah, that Andy Morgan.

SPEAKER_02

Of course Tony would say that. He's not surprised.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. They're buds too, because I see pictures of them together.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and they literally talked to each other the whole time I was doing my internship. Which I'm glad they're talk like at least those two, like, are keeping in conversation. At least.

SPEAKER_00

I feel like I don't know if it seem it sounds like you got them two closer together.

SPEAKER_02

That is so weird.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I didn't think about it like that, but I'll have to ask him about that. Yeah, there's some times where I don't think when I say something.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, same here.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

But what were you saying about the negativity?

SPEAKER_00

I was saying that it was just news stories basically from Facebook and Instagram. There's some news stories that are pretty negative.

SPEAKER_02

I would 100% agree. I think the biggest one being the Tylenol.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

That's okay. I I mean, I felt like that is very wrong. You can't find a cure for autism. Don't be putting news articles out saying you can cure autism.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I saw the Tylenol story and I was like, hey, this is the best fairy twale I ever heard.

SPEAKER_02

I I remember thinking in my head is how many people are gonna ask me if I feel like this is true? Yeah. Because I know we did a trial run on this and talked about it with Dave. I didn't say much, but you had some very interesting thoughts, and I was like, I'm just trying to process it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, which I won't say on this episode, but I was just like I was just like, that's the best fairy tale I've ever heard.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, you you had some interesting thoughts.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. It was weird, the tile naw story.

SPEAKER_02

Oh yes.

SPEAKER_00

You remember the RFK Jr. while back?

SPEAKER_02

Oh yeah, like the first thing he said when he came into his position was I'm a cure autism.

SPEAKER_00

And I don't want to get into that, but I was just wondering if he remembered it.

SPEAKER_02

I do because I remember looking at my mom and going, is he psycho?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. And somebody was like, I think he did some he did something before going up there.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, he did. I think him and a certain somebody were devising a plan. And we don't want to get too political on this podcast.

SPEAKER_00

We don't. I don't even know why I brought him up. That's my bad.

SPEAKER_02

But honestly, it needed to be addressed to a degree.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. But a lot of people know about that one. Anyways. I want to go to back to positive light one. I thought about a story that was pretty cool.

SPEAKER_02

I'm interested to hear this.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, so I'm not good at explaining things, but it's about this kid who uh is on the spectrum and really smart, if you can imagine. Really smart. He was good at hacking computers, he was good at fixing his parents' technology, all of that. His parents were talking about, man, if he could go to a college, it would be awesome. And then he started applying for colleges and he went I forget what college he went to. I have to rewatch this story, but he went for engineering.

SPEAKER_02

I feel like I know what you're talking about.

SPEAKER_00

It's hard to explain that story, but it's a pretty cool story.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and it was made into a film if I feel like I know what you're talking about.

SPEAKER_00

Well, there is a lot of m movies about there's one I remember about a kid on the spectrum hacking into the government. And they're after this kid, and Bruce Willis is in it, and he's protecting this kid.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. The the movie or documentary I'm thinking of is called Deege. Okay. And this is a guy who was non-verbal, went to college, got a four-year degree, lived on campus. Very bright.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I do want to see this one documentary. I don't know if you know who Brendan Fraser is.

SPEAKER_02

Brendan Fraser.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, Brendan Fraser. So he produced a documentary about an older autistic man who wears a superhero cape and he does these good deeds for people.

SPEAKER_02

I didn't know about that.

SPEAKER_00

And I'm like, man, this looks pretty interesting. But I knew about the the only reason I knew about this is because he was on the Kelly Clarkson show talking about it, and he teared up because he thought about his son who was also on the spectrum.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. He's tearing well he's tearing up a lot now, but I support him for it.

SPEAKER_02

Is it rental family?

SPEAKER_00

I'm not sure.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

But I just remember Brendan Fraser came on and talked about it. Kelly Clarkson brings a lot of. I really love her for this. She brings a lot of people who are on the spectrum. Not just the spectrum, but Down syndrome, and I really respect her for doing that.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, she's one of my favorite talk shows to watch if I'm working out, to be honest.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I I most of the time we go to the gym during like when her show was on. I made sure to be at the gym working out while her show was on.

SPEAKER_00

I was actually thinking about this interview that this kid had, and it was about him and this cop, and oh his mom was scared of how cops would be around him, and so she took her son to the sheriff's office. I had to think about it for a minute, but he they took him to the sheriff's off sheriff's office, and he met this one guy, got along really well during the whole tour. They were showing him around and stuff, and he sent this letter to him asking if he would be his godfather.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, that's so sweet.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and every time I watch it, I tear up a little bit.

SPEAKER_02

That is so, so sweet. We need more talk shows like Kelly Clarkson.

SPEAKER_00

We do. I think Jennifer Hudson's trying to do what she's doing.

SPEAKER_02

Uh uh, yeah, I agree. And I have watched some clips from her show, and I really like it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I really love the talk shows. For some reason, I feel like I would be good at it. Because I'm watching two. I'm watching a lot of them. I don't just watch Jennifer Hudson and Kelly Clarkson. I watch a lot of them.

SPEAKER_02

I am a big watcher of the today show.

SPEAKER_00

Is Hoda your favorite?

SPEAKER_02

No. You know what's surprising? Al Roker. Oh, he's your favorite? Yes. Huh.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And it's because and it's because he has a son on the spectrum, and he's pretty open about it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's true. I forgot about that. That's pretty cool. Because his son likes to cook, don't he?

SPEAKER_02

Okay, we are back and we were talking about Al Rauker.

SPEAKER_00

Yep.

SPEAKER_02

And his son, who is also on the spectrum, and what they did during COVID, which I really liked, and I would see that as a positive light. And his son is actually in college.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I forgot what college he goes to though.

SPEAKER_02

It's one up in New York.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_02

It's in New York, and it's kind of more of like a life works, is the best way I could describe it, because Al does give updates sometimes, but not all the time. Cause me and Alexi um had conversations about this because we were wondering if Al's son was gonna come to the Kelly Autism program for a little while. And we were gonna look forward to meeting Al actually.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, he was thinking about coming?

SPEAKER_02

I think we thought they had looked at it.

SPEAKER_00

Oh.

SPEAKER_02

Cause Alexi and I are big today show people. What TV show do you think represents autism well?

SPEAKER_00

I mean, I feel like we talked about some, but I feel like a TV show, I would say I mean we talked about Love on the Spectrum a little bit. That's probably the biggest one right now.

SPEAKER_02

And I would have to agree. There's been some other shows. There was another one from Netflix. I can't remember it off the top of my head.

SPEAKER_00

Was it atypical?

SPEAKER_02

Yes, atypical.

SPEAKER_00

I haven't watched that one yet, but I heard he's treated really well.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. That's one Good Doctor.

SPEAKER_00

Good Doctor.

SPEAKER_02

Thoughts on Good Doctor.

SPEAKER_00

Haven't seen Good Doctor, but I've heard that the actor does a really good job.

SPEAKER_02

And he did. I think they showed the real world very well of how he got treated. There was zero sugarcoating. They showed how we do well in a workplace and what happens if we have a mental breakdown.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Which is what I Oh. Which is what I liked about the show. I only got to watch a few episodes because life got busy and we couldn't keep up with it.

SPEAKER_00

My mom and I want to try and watch Good Doctor.

SPEAKER_02

You should.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

At least at least give it a shot.

SPEAKER_00

I want to watch Love on the Spectrum, but I don't want to watch it by myself.

SPEAKER_02

I think you and your mom would enjoy watching that together.

SPEAKER_00

I feel like it would be cool seeing because I bet it's their first dates, right?

SPEAKER_02

First dates to the struggle of keeping a relationship. Just all the ins and outs.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. It would just be cool to see their reactions because it's their real reactions, you know?

SPEAKER_02

Oh yes. The longest couple on the show is Abby and David.

SPEAKER_00

Oh.

SPEAKER_02

That is the only longest relationship, and I don't want to spoil spoil the show for you.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

But that is the longest so far.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. But I do know I watch interviews though, and I really like Tanner and Connor. Oh, yes. And I really like Connor because he reminds me of me. Because he's he can memorize different things. He's really into Vikings and Dragons. And he could tell you what all this diff different stuff is from that time.

SPEAKER_02

And you know something else? He's a big movie buff.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's true. I've seen that.

SPEAKER_02

He thinks the perfect day is watching a good movie.

SPEAKER_00

That's me?

SPEAKER_02

Uh yeah, I would pick Love on the Spectrum. So far there hasn't been a show that has not done a good job. Now the only thing I will say about the shows we feel that do show Possive Light is they only show one gender.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I mean Big Bang Theory, they don't really say it, but there's Amy Farah Fowler. There's a lot of rumors about her.

SPEAKER_02

Yes. Her and Sheldon both uh being on this spectrum.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, and I've I don't know if you'll agree with me on this, but I feel like Big Bang Theory shows autism in a negative light, and young Sheldon actually shows it in a positive light.

SPEAKER_02

I didn't think about it that way.

SPEAKER_00

Because I seen I don't know if you've seen all of young Sheldon.

SPEAKER_02

I've seen a decent amount.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, but I don't wanna tell you the last season because something big happens and it affects Sheldon.

SPEAKER_02

I know I know what the big thing is.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

He goes to college.

SPEAKER_00

No, there's another one.

SPEAKER_02

Is it Georgie and Mandy having the baby?

SPEAKER_00

No, it's I it's his dad.

SPEAKER_02

Oh yes, yes, yes, I watched that episode.

SPEAKER_00

And it was rough watching him like after he heard his dad died, because that makes me think, like, if we lose someone that close to us, would we be thinking about the last time we talked to that person?

SPEAKER_02

You know what's funny is I've been there.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I feel like that was me too, but it was hard because I was doing a play and I wasn't really thinking about this person during the play.

SPEAKER_02

You know, I I would say I've lost some people, but as I've gotten older, it's like I've been learning how to process and people don't understand why do I not cry right like on the dog, and I like how young Sheldon showed that because most of the time the crying face didn't hit me until like days later or even weeks.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Cause I just went through a pretty big death back in May.

SPEAKER_01

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_02

I wasn't close with this person, but all the emotions hit me like two weeks after we put this person in the ground. All my emotions just flooded me, and I was sitting on my bed curled up in a ball crying.

SPEAKER_00

I feel like it's from the day the person died until the after the funeral that I'm usually emotional.

SPEAKER_02

And people don't get why it takes this longer.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And young Sheldon was the first time they showed that.

SPEAKER_00

And I feel like that showed that in a very awesome way because I feel like some people on the spectrum have dealt with death like that.

SPEAKER_02

Yes. And I also liked how they dealt with how Sheldon reacted with his siblings. That was the other thing I was gonna bring up.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's true.

SPEAKER_02

Because Sheldon's a twin. And him and his are Missy and him the polar opposite of him.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. That's usually how it is, too.

SPEAKER_02

Oh yes. And I like her. Because I'm I know twins, so and moving on from TV shows, I'm talking about your favorite thing in the whole wide world.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, movies.

SPEAKER_02

Because there's been plenty of movies that have shown representation of autism from documentaries to scripted.

SPEAKER_00

There's there's a lot for me. Thinking about positive and negative. Probably positive. It's hard to think of positive though. I would have to say I've heard a lot about this movie Ezra.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, that's the newest one.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I've kind of been interested in watching that one.

SPEAKER_00

All I know is it's about his dad and his mom are separated.

SPEAKER_02

And they're living and the dad's a comedian.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, and they're living with his dad, who is Robert De Niro.

SPEAKER_02

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

Who has a son on the spectrum.

SPEAKER_02

I didn't know that until like there was like I think an interview possibly, and he talked about it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and he plays Special Olympics, if I'm correct, because I thought he plays tennis.

SPEAKER_02

It was tennis or basketball.

SPEAKER_00

I saw tennis, but could be basketball too.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I've been waiting to watch that, and the big one I always hear about is Rain Man.

SPEAKER_00

So I feel like that's a mix of positive and negative. There's some that's like there's like some things about him that's don't show autism, but like count number of two picks that's pretty weird. And he can actually this actually sounds right. He can read a number off a calculator, how it is, like how to add and multiply certain stuff, which I think is pretty cool. And he can also count cards, which his brother takes him to a casino and uses him to count cards for this game Blackjack.

SPEAKER_02

I didn't know that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's like the biggest scene of Rain Man him taking to the taking him to the casino.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, I haven't watched it, but I knew they were on a road trip of some sort.

SPEAKER_00

Sorry I spoiled that for you, but it's a little older.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it was it was gonna be spoiled at some point. I'm honestly surprised we didn't do an autism movie week during my internship.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that would have been awesome. Like talking about different movies?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I was like what I was gonna say.

SPEAKER_00

I'm surprised that didn't cross either of our minds, but I feel like I haven't watched this either, but What's Eating Gilbert Grape, that's a movie.

SPEAKER_02

Never seen that.

SPEAKER_00

That's Leonardo DiCaprio. He's on the spectrum.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

And try to think of another movie where it's someone who's who loves to run.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, run for oh, run forest run.

SPEAKER_00

No, no, not forest gump.

SPEAKER_02

Well they debate that well they debate he's on the spectrum.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that would actually be pretty cool. Because I I don't know if you know this, but Forrest Gump is my favorite.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. So it would be interesting that he's on the spectrum.

SPEAKER_02

That is very interesting. The other one I've heard mix reviews on is the one Sia created. Oh. Music. Okay. Have you heard about that one?

SPEAKER_00

No.

SPEAKER_02

It was due to them not casting a person on the spectrum.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_02

In how the autistic character was represented.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, that's kinda like Big Bang Theory. I mean, Jim Parsons, he's not on the spectrum.

SPEAKER_02

But he's played several characters who they suppose are on the spectrum. Because the character he played in Hidden Figures acted like he could have been on the spectrum.

SPEAKER_00

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_02

You've watched Hidden Figures.

SPEAKER_00

I have watched Hidden Figures, but it's been a while.

SPEAKER_02

It's been a while. That's actually one of my favorite black history films.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's Taraji, right?

SPEAKER_02

Taraji, Key and Henson, a lot of big names.

SPEAKER_00

It was a good movie. I remember I liked it.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Same here.

SPEAKER_00

But it's been a while.

SPEAKER_02

I would like to watch it again.

SPEAKER_00

I bet it's on Streaming App somewhere.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I think it was on Disney. Any other films you can think of?

SPEAKER_00

Um I mean, I don't know if this is a movie about being on the spectrum, but there's a movie called I Am Sam. Oh Sean Penn playing.

SPEAKER_02

I feel like I've heard of that.

SPEAKER_00

He's taking care of his daughter, and her name is Lucy Diamond Sky, which is a reference to Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.

SPEAKER_02

Oh.

SPEAKER_00

By the Beatles.

SPEAKER_02

How have I not heard that song?

SPEAKER_00

Oh, that's a good song. That's a recommend.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and I listened to a lot of Beatles.

SPEAKER_00

And Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds is not what you think it is, though. And I don't know. I can't think of any other movies though.

SPEAKER_02

They did a portrayal of Temple Grandon.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I do want to watch that one.

SPEAKER_02

I do too. And that was made by HBO.

SPEAKER_00

Mm-hmm. I mean there's movies where I feel like some people could have autism, but they never say it, you know?

SPEAKER_02

Yes. And it's hard to think of those off the top of the my head and probably your head.

SPEAKER_00

I feel like well one comes to mind and it's blended with Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. I've Oh yes. I've watched And it's the kid who plays baseball. Oh. And he gets I don't know if that's autism, but he gets upset that he's not he's not doing really well at it, but Adam Sandler helps him.

SPEAKER_02

Oh yeah. Is that is that the one where they went to Africa?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, yeah, I know what you're talking about. Because that was a good film.

SPEAKER_00

It was. And I loved how that film was done, if that makes any sense.

SPEAKER_02

It makes sense. And I feel like there was a certain character in Old Brother Were Art Thou that could supposedly be on the spectrum.

SPEAKER_00

Are you talking about Delmar?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I'm talking about Delmar. I can see that. Because sometimes he seems to be in his own world and they have to snap him back into reality.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Especially when he says one of the characters turned into a frog.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's that's one of the best scenes too. Like when the Bible salesman beats them up and kills the toad.

SPEAKER_02

Oh yeah. I forgot about that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that was good. Now I want to watch it. Oh, it's a I watched that movie. I would watch that movie over and over again if I could.

SPEAKER_02

I know. I'm the same way.

SPEAKER_00

And George Callooney's from Kentucky. I knew that. He based it off of his uh grandfather, that voice, like that country voice that he does.

SPEAKER_02

That makes sense.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. So I was just wondering, do you think local media has done a good job with representing people on the spectrum?

SPEAKER_02

I was thinking about talking about that. I it depends on the town.

SPEAKER_00

In this case Hodgeville's a mix.

SPEAKER_02

Uh Frankfurt, like, not really until I really started working at my station I'm currently at. Bowling Green would probably be the biggest.

SPEAKER_00

Oh.

SPEAKER_02

Because you have the fun run.

SPEAKER_00

You have the Kelly Autism program.

SPEAKER_02

Yes. And LifeWorks.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And they're always like in the news doing something. Of course, Tony's involvement and taking interns on.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And then I would say my media company, but it's kind of mixed. It depends on if they're willing, because right now at the current moment, there really isn't anybody in the building who is on the spectrum.

SPEAKER_00

Which is a question that you wanted to ask, and it's do you feel stations are more hazard hesitant in hiring someone on the spectrum?

SPEAKER_02

100%.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I agree too. Because I had to be open and say that I am on the spectrum.

SPEAKER_02

And in the biggest company that will actually throw your file away if you say you have a disability is iHeartMedia.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I'm like, I feel like I have to say it though, because it's just a way for people to understand. What I'm like, you know?

SPEAKER_02

Yes. I've done a mix, if that makes any sense.

SPEAKER_00

So you've told some stations that you're on the spectrum and some Yep. You were like, yeah, I'll just act normal during this.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, until I get hired and then I'll tell.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. And then then people change their minds.

SPEAKER_02

You know what's funny is IHart threw my file away after interviewing me, and I said to the guy, Hey, I'm on the spectrum. He threw my file out after interviewing me when I told him I was on the spectrum.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I don't like that.

SPEAKER_02

No. And Andy did not take that well either.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And he's I would have And he's been my biggest advocate while I've been applying for jobs.

SPEAKER_00

I feel like mine has been Tommy.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, he's one of our biggest advocates other than Tony.

SPEAKER_00

He sometimes texts me out of the blue and says, Have I gotten the job yet? And I'm like, no, man. I'm looking for some.

SPEAKER_02

I'm possibly getting close, but the snowstorm has held up a lot of stuff.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's true. Oh Mother Nature.

SPEAKER_02

Oh Mother Nature. And there's been some not nice comments said to me within my own company, which is even sadder. And not Alan. Alan's a saint.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, Alan's awesome.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, Alan's awesome. No, Alan wouldn't say that.

SPEAKER_00

Nah.

SPEAKER_02

He wouldn't. And I honestly don't like that they kick Tony out of number one. Yeah, Tony lost his number one spot, by the way.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, that's tough.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, with an uh with a different morning show.

SPEAKER_00

I bet he's talking a lot about that.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. And I and I haven't said anything because I'm gonna be Tony's side all the way, even though I work for a different company.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

That that morning show's under. I'm like, I'm still always gonna support Tony and that he's always number one.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And Tommy said he is still number two and he's A-OK. Cause he posted about it. I don't know if you saw that.

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah. Tommy's always in good spirits. Oh yes.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, so it depends on the radio station and what they're wanting. But South Central Kentucky is probably the biggest area with people on the spectrum. And they're not being and they're not being represented, sadly.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I don't I don't like that.

SPEAKER_02

Me neither. I'm I'm kicking and screaming my way down there.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I just think if you have the experience, they should give you the job. I mean I understand if the other person has more experience, but you shouldn't you should not hire somebody I'm getting my words mixed up, but it don't matter what disability you are, what race you are or what disorder you are. If you are capable of capable of doing broadcasting or whatever job, they should give you that job.

SPEAKER_02

I 100% agree because I personally think either one of us is gonna end up back at D at some point.

SPEAKER_00

And between the two of us, it's probably Nah I'm kidding. I was gonna say it's gonna be me, but I'm I was messing around. Because I like they know I like classic rock and hey, we're talking about music right now.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Do you think music has done a good job in explaining autism?

SPEAKER_02

Oh, that's so hard because I don't hear about it.

SPEAKER_00

There's not really a lot out there, if that makes any sense. No, there's not. I mean, I can't think of any songs off the top of my head, but I feel like there's some songs that could be explaining autism.

SPEAKER_02

Uh I'm gonna be a hundred percent with you there.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I mean, there's a lot on mental health which affects autism.

SPEAKER_02

Oh yes. Uh I'm gonna a hundred percent agree. And I probably listen to some of the mental health songs.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and if you think about it, it could be par it could be autism adjacent. Very true. I mean, they just they just try to sprinkle stuff in there in their lyrics and stuff.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it's probably more pop than country.

SPEAKER_00

I feel like I can see rock too because they're talking more about mental health stuff now.

SPEAKER_02

I would agree with country because that's I swear all I listen to.

SPEAKER_00

I feel like rock rock has always done that. There's always mental health. There's a lot of mental health in rock, and a lot of people don't know it. I'm like, Metallica is the big one. Read their lyrics, and you'll see, ooh, there's a lot of songs. I feel like the biggest ones fade to black. And the thing about Metallica is you have to read their lyrics because sometimes it's hard to understand.

SPEAKER_02

You were talking about Metallica.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. They're very big on mental health, and a lot of people don't know that. I see that a lot in their lyrics, so I just tell a lot of people to look at their lyrics and you'll see what I'm talking about.

SPEAKER_02

That that is very interesting because I've only heard a few Metallica songs from listening to certain radio stations because of growing my expansion of knowledge of rock and alternative music.

SPEAKER_00

I'm just going all over the place, to be honest, with music.

SPEAKER_02

This is what this episode's about. We're talking all types of media.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I feel like big on mental health, which is why I like this other band, Red Clay Strays.

SPEAKER_02

I've heard about Red Clay Strays.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, they're really good. And I really love the guy because he sounds like Elvis, and he sounds like a country singer, Waylon Jennings.

SPEAKER_02

Oh.

SPEAKER_00

And Ray Charles, Chris Stapleton, he's all over the place.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

With his vocal range.

SPEAKER_02

That is very interesting.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And and I would also mention Jelly Roll.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. He's big on mental health. Especially the album Beautifully Broken.

SPEAKER_02

Yes. I don't know how many songs I've listened off that album.

SPEAKER_00

I've heard all of them.

SPEAKER_02

I have that record and I can't wait to listen to it.

SPEAKER_00

It's really good. And Red Clay Strays, there's an album called Made by These Moments, and all those songs are good on that album.

SPEAKER_02

I'll have to check that out.

SPEAKER_00

There's not a bad song on that album. I feel like a good song that people should hear that's on that is probably God Does.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, they're really great band.

SPEAKER_02

They look like a newer band.

SPEAKER_00

They are. They've been out since COVID. What no, 2017, I think. The lead singer's supposed to be coming out with a documentary on Netflix. It's gonna be seven episodes.

SPEAKER_02

That should be interesting to watch.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I'm very excited about that. Because I watched Jelly Rolls and it was really good too.

SPEAKER_02

Did you where was his posted?

SPEAKER_00

It was on Hulu.

SPEAKER_02

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I think it was called Save Me.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, I think I wanted to watch it and I was sad because I don't have Hulu.

SPEAKER_00

It makes you that one makes you cry a little bit because of his story.

SPEAKER_02

And I've heard of some of his story from interviews I've listened to, and I'm like, if only I could watch that documentary.

SPEAKER_00

Or one of my episodes where I talked about Jelly Roll being in like my top five musicians one year.

SPEAKER_02

Ah okay. I talked a little He actually made my Apple uh like what you ever whatever you call it this year.

SPEAKER_00

He he's really good. I can't wait for his next album. Is he making a new album? I don't know yet, but I would think he is.

SPEAKER_02

It would be interesting for him to write a album on all of his like weight loss journey.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Or like visiting different prisons.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, I didn't know that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's his big thing now because well, they were juvenile centers because he went to juvenile centers in the beginning, and so he would visit people in juvie and stuff.

SPEAKER_02

I d I knew he had gone to jail, but I'd totally forgotten about that.

SPEAKER_00

Cool story, Jelly Rolls, I would look more I would look at his story more, it's pretty sad, but it's pretty cool how he's now a singer and he was Grammy nominated, so yeah. That was pretty cool.

SPEAKER_02

I don't think he got he has a Grammy yet.

SPEAKER_00

He doesn't. He was nominated. Yeah. Never won a Grammy.

SPEAKER_02

I know, so sad.

SPEAKER_00

Mm-hmm. I just wonder, do you feel that you can be yourself in the media world?

SPEAKER_02

I'm still trying to figure that out. I when I was doing my D93 internship, I was just barely surviving.

SPEAKER_00

I feel like I have been being myself.

SPEAKER_02

I've been trying to since graduating, but I would say I was also trying to find myself the last year college.

SPEAKER_00

Because that's what they taught us most in broadcasting is to be yourself.

SPEAKER_02

Which is the hardest thing when people are gonna criticize you from where you're interning to people calling in or leaving messages. I think my favorite thing that was told to me by Tony was was you gotta have a thick skin.

SPEAKER_00

I think that's why Tony liked me because I had a thick skin with them messing with me, you know.

SPEAKER_02

I was rebuilding my thick skin when I was with them. I mean because I was I was practically broken.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I was like, if they made a joke at me, I would make a joke at them, so yeah. Yeah. D93 is jokes. I mean, no, I'm not saying that it's a joke, but they like to mess around.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and I could take their messing around after a while because I got used to it.

SPEAKER_00

Different radio environments do get it they do take a while to get used to it.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, 100%. I'm so like I like what I do right now to a degree because I'm usually by myself because nobody's really in the building when I'm there except our other producer. We have game games on both stations.

SPEAKER_00

The thing about D93 was a lot of people were there.

SPEAKER_02

And I and I love that aspect of everybody was in during that time, and you got to have a social aspect of how a station runs.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, I'm gonna be honest, Tony and Tommy weren't really around each other a lot, but No. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Well, because they're doing two polar opposite shows.

SPEAKER_00

And they have different sense of humors.

SPEAKER_02

Oh yes, I would 100% agree with that.

SPEAKER_00

And I think why I like doing that is because I got to do different types of sense of humor.

SPEAKER_02

I I would say so too, because the one thing Tony did tell me, because I had originally said and I told this to Alan, I said, I am doing no internship my last semester of college. And Alan Alan was like, okay.

SPEAKER_00

And what's funny is I didn't I did do the internship my last semester.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I did one my last semester as well, and Tony was like, why'd you not tell me you d were doing one? I was like, Well, I I didn't know when I was starting, who I was working with until a week before I started.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

What I work and I didn't even have time to tell anybody at CAP I was doing a second internship.

SPEAKER_00

Oh.

SPEAKER_02

Because the day I started, my phone blew up. Yeah because because Austin heard me on the radio and was like, wait, Hannah's doing this and didn't tell me. I'm like, I was supposed to tell you the day before, but we were snowed in.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, Austin and Kim knew I was doing it.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. See, that was the thing with D is everybody in the building knew I was doing it with D.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. And it was cool because they invited I don't know if you remember me talking about this, but they invited Tommy and Sheila to the graduation ceremony the Kelly Autism program has.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Uh I think if they had known who my person was, I think he would have came to mind. Now, would he have been on time is the next great question.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, they were on time.

SPEAKER_02

Well, Sheila runs like she has to be organized. Andy Morgan runs on Andy Morgan time.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

You haven't met him, and he runs on his own time, and if he's running behind, he's running behind.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

That's why, like, and he was like asking me if he could go to my graduation, and I was like, I don't know. He wasn't mad that I didn't tell him. He was just respecting my boundaries.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, D came to mine.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. And I saw those pictures. Those were some good pictures.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. D was shouting Rhino when they said my name.

SPEAKER_02

I'm not surprised.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, they were cool. For doing that. I felt bad because I didn't see them afterwards. But it was a big crowd.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, they're huge. It's hard to find people.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Like literally my mom and I were on the phone until we found each other.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. It was hard finding my family.

SPEAKER_02

I yeah. It's like they try to move you out as fast as possible.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I felt like the basketball arena was harder than the football field because I could see where my parents and my dad's girlfriend was at at the football field. The basketball arena was tough.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. I didn't even know where my family was sitting on. I didn't.

SPEAKER_00

Until they waved at me when I got the diploma.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I didn't even look at all. I was just like staring straight because I was barely awake. I was afraid of sleeping through my ceremony.

SPEAKER_00

I didn't.

SPEAKER_02

Well you're more of a morning person than me.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. And it's funny because I'm not a morning person either.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, how'd you survive the morning show?

SPEAKER_00

Good question. Um after the morning show, I would go to the Kelly Autism program, and then after the Kelly Autism program, I would go to the Starbucks.

SPEAKER_02

I don't blame you.

SPEAKER_00

Because I was I was tired, I'm gonna be honest with you, but I got I guess I had the attitude that I knew I was gonna get through it, and I knew Starbucks or Spencer's would help me.

SPEAKER_02

And I consumed quite a bit of caffeine myself.

SPEAKER_00

I didn't really consume that much, really, but I did enough for me to be awake.

SPEAKER_02

I will tell you when I did an afternoon show, it made all the difference.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Oh afternoon's completely different. I agree.

SPEAKER_02

Because I enjoyed doing the afternoon show a lot more than the morning show because I actually got to sleep in, I had more energy, I didn't look like I had just totally got out of bed and was barely making it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. It was cool doing that with Tommy though.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, you and Tommy seem to get along. I swear I couldn't fly on the wall.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it because we have the same interests again. Because we're into the same like artist. I agree. Yeah, we're both into Elvis and Metallica and Kiss, so nice. Yeah, he's cool, dude.

SPEAKER_02

It I feel like we've had a great conversation today.

SPEAKER_00

We have.

SPEAKER_02

I was like, w we have talked about all things media. We talked about radio to music to movies to TV to even social media platforms.

SPEAKER_00

And to snow days. Don't forget about the beginning.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, we can't forget the snow. Snowmageddon 2026.

SPEAKER_00

That's right, and it isn't over.

SPEAKER_02

No, it's not.

SPEAKER_00

Next week.

SPEAKER_02

Woo! And if we get any more, my schedule is gonna be so busy. I've already gotten my pre-schedule for this upcoming week and the week following.

SPEAKER_00

Oh yikes.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it's not gonna be fun. I'm just gonna be farewarning some people.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Good luck.

SPEAKER_02

Thank you. And this is a simple discussion.
