Hello and welcome to the Let's Talk podcast. My name is Hannah Covington, and I am so glad to be back with you yet again for another episode of this podcast. And before I dive into today's topic, which is a very exciting topic, if you are a big fan of this type, which I will get into in a moment, I am very excited to talk about this. I've actually talked about one of the things they talked about in a previous episode. But before I dive into all that stuff, I like making segments on this podcast. So let's dive into the first segment of sorts, which is, of course, food-related stuff. What foods have I tried since the last time I talked with you? Which it has been a minute since I have talked with you. Life has been crazy, and I am finally having time to record an episode for you guys, which I'm super excited to be back and talk about that. But I won't ever tell you why I've been busy. I can't. So that's all you're gonna know. But some of the food stuff I have tried, and there's been a lot of crazy food talk lately. I have not been able to find the this year's witches fruit just yet. I don't know if it's out yet. Supposedly there's some at five below, I've heard. I'm personally thinking after my birthday, I'm gonna buy some off of Amazon because there's also a new flavor in this year's pack, which is supposed to be way, way better than the pumpkin spice flavored one we had last year. And supposedly they changed the formula on Witches Brew for this year. I will have to get back with you on that because I've been kind of only drinking energy drinks when I feel like I need them because let's just say I had an experience of drinking in a Lonnie way too early, and I shouldn't have been drinking it that too early because I 100% felt it. Yeah, don't drink energy drinks until you have enough sleep in your body. I maybe had a not great reaction, but I might be going and looking for more witches' brew, possibly in this supposed voodoo. I haven't been able to find it at Kroger just yet. Maybe they're only giving it out just as test trial runs before it comes out to us in the public. I don't know what the dealio is. If anybody at Pepsi would like to tell me or send me some as they're listening to this episode, I would love to know. But there is some stuff I have tried other than the witch's brew talk and this voodoo vanilla as well that I will be talking about as well. Okay, what's some of the stuff I've tried other than Alani talk? Because I look I could talk about Alani news all day, every day. If you know me well enough, I talk all things Alani some days. I can. But what are some of the things I have tried? Well, one of these I was on the fence about trying for a good while. It's been out all summer. If you're a Penn Station fan and love their lemonade, you know what I'm talking about. You just you'll you know what I'm talking about. And I might have talked about it in the Nirvana Preppy episode, and I don't remember. That's called Live and Two Job World, is you forget what you talked about and haven't talked about. So yes. Oh good lord. This episode will need editing, is what I'm not. So if you're a Penn Station fan, you've been seeing this all summer. If you've been visiting the stores, and they came out with two special edition lemonade flavors for their lemonades this summer. They came out with a strawberry flavor and a blue raspberry flavor. And if I'm repeating myself, I'm sorry. But I tried the blue raspberry just recently, and the blue raspberry was so good. Y'all won't regret getting these new flavors because it goes well with their hand squeezed lemonade, and that y'all need to go try it. I give it a 10 out of 10, and it's just so good, especially with a good Philly cheesesteak. Oh, you're missing out if you're not eating that. What else have I tried other than that lemonade? And I might have talked about it in the Nirvana, I said the Nirvana is preppy episode. What else? Well, I finally made it back over to Wingstop. I didn't I haven't been there in a good couple months, it feels like, because it's across town and your girl doesn't like drive across town for food, but I feel like all the good foods are on the other side of town, and I have to go drive across town to just get all the good foods. I know everybody has towns that are like that as well. If you feel me, you feel me. So I have been over to Wingstop and I tried a different flavor today because I had had a rough spout with their dry rubs a while ago when I first tried Wingstop in another in my college town, didn't hit my stomach well, and I said and I told myself I'm never gonna try any of their dry rubs ever again, is what I told myself. Well, here I am trying a new dry rub because it was advertised and I was like, Hannah, just try it. You'll maybe you'll change your mind on their dry rubs. And let's just say I'm not getting a dry rub again from them. The chicken wasn't as greasy this time, it was perfect. It was just, I guess I'm a a wimp when it comes to spice because I tried their hot honey, and the lady told me it's not that spicy. Well, um, it's spicy, and your girl did not handle the spice really well. At least they loaded me up with blue cheese dressing in my order because sometimes Wing Stop is known for skimping on the sauces when you ask for it. Lord, they loaded me with sauce because I could not handle that hot honey, it was so spicy, and I'm like, I haven't had this spicy in a while, and my mouth was on fire, and my lips stayed on fire for a good solid 10 minutes after I finished eating those. I'm glad I got a half and half because if I hadn't, I think I would have regretted my dissation because Hawaiian is my go-to when I'm there. I've heard there's some other good flavors, but I'm not getting hot honey again. I can tell you that right now. It was a good flavor, I just couldn't handle the spice. And also, Wing Stop is known for having a really good ranch. I got a different sauce. I I tried their blue cheese. Their blue cheese ain't half bad. It's not the best, but it's good. But yeah, I could have drank that blue cheese after eating those hot honey chicken fingers I got. Oh well, you learn lessons from trying new things, and I'm glad I'm willing to try new things. But I do love wing stock fries, they are amazing. You need to try wing stock fries. What else have I tried that I should talk about that I have not talked about just yet? And this will probably be gone by the time this episode comes out because apparently it was only a two to three day thing at Starbucks. Thank you, Starbucks, for only giving us three days to get this. That's me being sarcastic. I don't like when companies only give you three days and not like two weeks. Okay. If you know, you know what I'm gonna be talking about. Because I did post it on my socials. If you follow me on my socials, you'll know I posted about this. Starbucks brought the unicorn frap back. Did your girl go get a unicorn frappuccino? Why, yes, yes, she did. And was it good as good as the original? I have mixed feelings on it. I have a lot of mixed feelings when it comes to this flavor. I don't know why. It's just I don't know what to say. It's not like the original. And the original one was so much better because the original was supposed to be cotton candy themed, and there was no cotton candy to this frappuccino, is what I understand. It was like a mango something flavor frap, and I'm like, that's not what I think of when I think of unicorns. I think of cotton candy and everything super, super sweet. And like, did I go in with too high of an expectation? Probably, but that's like one of those oh wells you live and you learn of what you expect out of food products. I thought it would taste like the original, it did not taste like the original sad face, but it did have good flavor. They made it a hint more sour than sweet, which was really sad. It did look like the original. I will give them credit to that. They did a good job with that. You could only get it in a smaller medium, so it could be stretched farther. And even one of the workers at Starbucks told me at the Starbucks I went to my hometown, they felt they would be sold out by sometime on Sunday. I was mesmerized when they are just being upfront and honest with me. I love when workers are honest and upfront with me about like these specialty products and say, Yeah, I think we're gonna be sold out by this day. And I'm like, Thank you for being honest, because I don't think there's enough honesty in this world. And sometimes I feel like I wish the food industry would be a little more honest about special editions of how long we're gonna have them, is all I'm gonna say about that. But the Fried Pacino was very refreshing on a very hot summery day. It's not what I expected, it was very post-worthy on social media, very much worth the try. I enjoyed it, I would give it a middle ground. It wasn't great, it wasn't bad, it was just a mid. It's one of those things you just have to experience, is what I would probably tell people. Is yeah, just try it. It's good, not great, great, worth a try, worth to post on social media. I got a lot of watches on it because a lot of people wish I'd post more food content. There was your food content for the week. So, yeah, I've kind of slowed down on what I'm trying because it's expensive to try all these foods, by the way. I don't know if y'all know that. Or I have to wait a while until I try something. And sometimes the stuff I am trying, I may have never had, and it's been out for years, or it's for a short time and I go get it. But yeah, the unicorn frappuccino, it was mid, it wasn't great, it wasn't yuck, it was just mid. And it'll probably be gone by the time this goes up. Now, moving into today's topic, which you sometimes may be called a Disney adult for what I'm about to talk about. You're either a Universal fan or a Disney fan, or vice versa. But I am very excited to be talking about D23. If I am remembering correctly, it only happens every two years. If I am correct from what I have been seeing on social media and hearing from people who have gotten to go, that would be a real big dream of mine. If I ever get big enough to go to D23, that's a very big dream of mine. Disney, if you feel like bringing some cop podcasters, your girl wants to go. Just maybe consider me for the next one you have in 2028. Would love to go. But I have been seeing a lot of what has been going on over the last couple of days because I follow enough Disney adults that got to go, so I get to look through them and see what they're posting about, which I'm jealous of some of the stuff they've gotten to see. A bunch of creator content creators got to go in before everything started. They had to wake up at four in the morning, and they got to tour where you can shop of all the stuff that will be coming to Disney for this upcoming year, which there's a few pieces I might need myself from some of the stuff they are releasing, and I'm kind of a little bit jealous of, especially the princess diaries stuff, because it's Princess Diaries' 25th anniversary. I've already talked about it, I'm not going into detail. You need to watch, you need to listen to a certain episode to hear my thoughts on that. But they are releasing some merch for Princess Diaries, which is very, very cool. That was one of my favorite things of all the content I got to see for the first day. And the first day was spent talking about movies and TV shows that will be coming out within this year and the following year, which let me say there is some stuff I'm very, very excited about, and y'all need to be excited about as well. Between regular Disney and the Marvel Universe, I know I'll probably have some Marvel heads listening to this as well. And let's just say there's some good stuff coming from what I've been seeing, and one of the things I'm really looking forward to is probably the doomsday movie, because one of my favorite people is re-entering the Marvel universe as a villain, and I can't wait to see him as a villain. Will you see me in the movie theater going to see this movie in December? November, November, December range. You will see me going to see this. I might be tired the next day at work if I go see this, but it will 100% be worth it because I am so excited about Marvel Universe stuff. What and I and I got to watch the trailer on social media for Doomsday because they released the final trailer for Doomsday. If you're not on Instagram, Facebook, and have not seen this trailer, go watch it. You will not regret watching it. Because it is so good, it'll make you go. Should you be jumping back into the Marvel universe? Yes, yes, you should, because some characters will be coming back for the doomsday film. Other than the new X-Men people that got introduced. You will re-see Thor. Just giving some hints. I forget who else appears, but I know I saw Thor for sure and Loki. And Loki's gonna be back. I liked Loki, even though he was seen as a bad guy, he mellowed out. He's a good dude. He's a good dude. And I always love when a villain mellows out. And I'm glad Loki mellowed out because Loki could possibly be a good character in future films, if given the opportunity. What other Marvel stuff caught my eye? I haven't seen too much of Marvel stuff. I only heard about The Doomsday. Supposedly, they announced a new X-Man cast or for a new X-Man film. I don't know what the deal is on that. I'll have to do my research on that and see for myself. I know Vision is giving getting a TV show, and I liked Vision's character, so it would be interesting to see Vision by himself without Wanda. I never got to see the TV show with Wanda and Vision as a couple. I heard it was a good TV show leading into Wanda's own movie back in was it 2024, 2025? That sounds about right. Haven't seen that. Because the first season of that TV show left on a good cliffhanger, and I want to see if there's more coming for her. I also need to go see the new Spider-Man movie, which came out literally a week after um what after a big film that came out that has mythical stuff. Um I am gonna go find out what movie this is as I'm just rambling because my brain is farting so hard you don't understand. What is it? The Odyssey. Spider-Man, the new Spider-Man movie came out literally the week after the Odyssey, which is so wild. Because those are two movies I kind of want to go see, but that is not what we are talking about, but there's a lot of good stuff happening in the Marvel universe. I heard about, which will be exciting to see how that plays part. I think there was also some new Marvel merch that came out that we won't know about because no one really talks about Marvel if they're a Disney head. But other Disney stuff that got talked about. I heard there's a new Kingdom of Hearts video game coming out, they announced about. That but I know some video game heads. If you're listening, there's a new Kingdom of Hearts coming out. I bet y'all will be excited about that. There was the announcement of a third frozen film coming out. Supposedly it's supposed to be good. What else got announced? And people had been talking about this film even before it got announced a month prior. Because I had heard about it on the Today show, and then I watched Entertainment Tonight, did a segment on it talking about there they were curious to see because they were seeing photos of a supposed live action tangled film being maybe in the works. They were like, is this in the works? I don't know. They were all questioning of is Disney making a live action tangled film, and that got my head my wheel spinning of is there another live action movie in the works? And guess what? There is a live-action tangled film in the works because they announced it at D23 and the crowd went ballistic. What else? There are some other films that got announced too that was very popular on my social media page that was talked about. There's another Lilo and Stitch live action coming out. I cannot wait for the trailer for that because I loved the live action Lilo and Stitch. I cannot wait for the second one. Some people might have said, oh, the live action Lilo and Stitch was subpar. I liked it, and I'm an adult. I went to see it in theaters, liked it. I did not regret watching that live action Disney. I seem to be watching a lot of the live action Disney films as an adult than as a kid, which I'm finding this funny. But some people might say, well, it's good you're like widening your horizon of what you watch, but okay. So I'm very excited about the live action Lilo and Stitch 2 that will be coming out. And they showed a glimpse of Angel, of what Angel could possibly look like. And I'm so excited to see the relationship between Stitch and Angel, which is a big part of the Lilo and Stitch world. Can't wait to see that. And Stitch made sure to say hi to the crowd. He loves attention. If you know, you know. What else was announced? There's an Incredibles 3 coming out that I saw. The there's a Coco 2 in the works, which I like Cocoa. I really, really like Coco. It is so good. There's certain scenes in Cocoa, the first Coco, that has made me cry. And if you didn't cry at that one scene, I don't know how you have any emotion when you watch this film. And if you've not watched Coco, go watch Coco before Coco 2 comes out. And I want to have the same feelings in Coco 2 that I had in Cocoa 1. So I'm super excited about Coco 2. What else am I super excited about? That was announced. Incredibles 3 was announced. That is super duper exciting. And also, you heard me talk about this in the Princess Diaries anniversary episode. Princess Diaries 3 is in the works. It was announced. And I think the crowd went crazy that Princess Diaries 3 is in the works. I don't think they have started filming yet. But they are putting a script together, which I'm so excited to finally get that announcement of Princess Diaries 3 is in the works. And I'm glad they talked about it. I know they had been hinting at it, but they announced it at D23 this year. And I'm so glad they cleared up the rumors and that Ann Hathaway could be the one to tell the crowd. Especially on the 25th anniversary. We are probably expecting a film on the 20th anniversary of the first film, but that's okay. I would rather get an announcement that they are in the works for this film than nothing at all. And I also like the merch they talked that they are releasing that I've already talked about. Oh, what else could be in the works that needs to be talked about? I am like literally trying to cross my brain of what I've been seeing on social media. Trust me, I'm going off of all I've seen on social media. I didn't write any of this down. This just came to my head as an idea, and I'm just talking about it. I'm trying to remember because there's a lot of good movies coming out in TV shows, and not all this stuff got put on social media that was talked about. By the way. There's just so much good content coming out within the next couple of years between Marvel and Disney. So excited. Oh, and of course, they celebrated Camp Rock 3 while there. I think Camp Rock was the kickoff party before D23 started. Like they did a showing of the third Camp Rock film. It was, or it was a couple days before, and it was kind of sort of a kickoff to D23 with the release of Camp Rock 3. Because you had the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato at D23 this year, which is so exciting. I feel like people that grew up with Camp Rock was super excited. I wish I was there myself because I'm a big Jonas Brothers fan. If you do not know, I literally have them on record. So I was so jealous of the people that got to see them up close for the Camp Rock stuff. And they did a performance from the third movie, which is very exciting. Will we be seeing a fourth Camp Rock film? Who knows? We'll have to wait and see. What else have I heard that supposedly is happening in Disney as well? I I really don't remember. I know there's a villains world coming. I think in Magic Kingdom. I know that's been in talks, and I think that got announced. So I don't know what else is coming. This is all I know from social media and what I've been seeing on social media for D23. They also did a Dancing with the Stars panel because Dancing with the Stars is a big, big part of the Disney universe now. I didn't realize how big dancing with the stars is now in the world of Disney as much as Marvel is, which is kind of mind-boggling. They gave some dance lessons away. I'm so jealous of the people that got to meet all these pros that I grew up wash watching for a little bit of my life. I'm so jealous that they got to do that. Maybe someday that will be me. And it's all pros I kind of like from the show. So maybe we'll see what else happens at D23. And not everything got put out on the internet of what was talked about at D23. If you're wondering, Hana, why aren't you talking about everything? I didn't go. I'm just giving you all I've seen on social media so far. And there's a lot of exciting stuff, and there was a lot of stuff I saw, and I'm not remembering as well. And I'm being honest with y'all about what I've seen on social media. I feel like I've spent way too much time on social media over the last week of days than I should be spending. I'm being honest with you, but I've been very excited about all the Disney announcements for the next couple of years. And I am hoping you have enjoyed this episode of me nerding out on all this new Disney content that we will be seeing over the next two years. And I hope y'all get to see some of this new stuff, see some of the new rides that will be opening, which will be over the next five years. It gets announced it takes five years to build. And they talked about all the rides that will be opening across all the Disney like parks around the world. Because some were in the US and some were not in the U.S. Because one of the YouTubers I watched that is a big Disney head, and her and both her daughters are big Disney heads as well, just like their mother. She only brought the brought the Otis with her, which is kind of cool. Mother bonding moment, by the way. So exciting. And one of the rides that was opening, it was in I think that one of the where their park in Tokyo is, and she said, I want to go to Tokyo just to go to the Disney park there. And she goes, Girl, I can take you someday. And I'm like, you know, when your bond's so big, y'all, y'all are planning your next Disney trip out of the country, which is really cool. Maybe that's one of my goals is I make it to all the Disney parks someday. We will have to wait and see what life brings me. But I have I am glad I got to live through other people's eyes of what they got to see at D23 this year. I know they are not sharing everything, they're only sharing what they can share because Disney has strict policies, and I'm glad I get to talk about what I've seen, and I hope you guys like this information, and I will see you next time. Bye.
